Chapter ten:
Leo shifts in his bed sitting there as he feels the warmth and sexual desire increase. He's used to keeping certain things private so his family can look to him as a strong leader. He tries to only share what he has to. He prefers to not be seen as weak to them, allowing a few exceptions like his migraines as there's no hiding that, plus he also hates feeling weak. Though with suddenly being omega it feels like a lot more is going to be out in the open; So much change so quickly for him in his life in what feels like a short amount of time. He wanted to settle a little into his relationship with Raph before telling the others. He is still adjusting to the idea of more being out in the open and known so it'd be nicer to wait. He didn't plan to wait long knowing his family would support them. He just has so much to adjust to already as an omega. He is now wondering if he should let them know because his heart is longing for Raph. He's never felt the longing for the other be this intense.
But Raph is now responsible for leading their family while Leo's dealing with heat, not to mention that they haven't revealed their relationship. He also hasn't talked with Leo about joining each other for their heats and ruts.
Leo opens his mouth thinking a whine is going to come out. He finds that a calling chirp comes out instead. He slaps a hand over his mouth as he realizes he had just tried to call for Raph. He lets out a muffled sound of scolding himself. He can't distract Raph as the other has an important job right now. He really hopes he'll be able to control himself though something tells him that he won't. He lets go of his mouth turning to the door as someone knocks. His heart fills with hope of who it could be.
"Leo? I got nest supplies for you." Mikey's voice brings about disappointment in Leo who tries to not show it.
"Okay." Leo agrees allowing Mikey inside the room.
Mikey heads over handing Leo some stuff and the items make Leo perk up out of disappointment.
There is some blankets that have the smell of each brother, the threes spare masks, and some blankets that only smell clean.
Leo feels his heart skip a beat at smelling Raph.
"Everyone has their own scents for their nests. So I brought you a few options. If you don't want anything it's fine I can take it away. There's no judgement. I only want Donnies scent when I'm in heat. So if you'd rather just one scent that's fine."
Leo gives back the things that smell of Donnie and Mikey. "I find Raphs scent is the best right now." He does keep the clean blankets to help build his nest.
"Maybe because he's a single alpha while Donnie is taken." Mikey suggests not hurt that Leo only wants Raphs scent. "Do you need anything else for your nest?"
"Not right now." Leo admits letting out a breath after taking in Raphs scent. "Thank you Mikey."
"No problem bro." Mikey smiles at the other omega. "If you need anything just let me know. Omegas are chill around other omegas during their heat. So I can help get stuff for you." He leaves after Leo nods his head.
Leo looks to the Raphs spare mask and the blanket that smells of Raph. He brings the items up to his left cheek closing his eyes in happiness. He rubs his cheek on the items a little while churring happily. He feels the desire to get Raph here lessen. He still feels it though having Raph's scent is truly soothing to him. He will start the nest soon as right now all he wants is to bask in Raph's scent.
... That night...
Raph is leading a patrol to check around the city. He raises a fist getting the other two to stop while he stares down from the rooftop.
Down below is some Footclan members putting some boxes into a truck. They are behind a warehouse building while doing this. They must be up to no good.
"What's the plan?" Donnie whispers as he and Mikey watch on either side of Raph.
"They can't know Leo's out of commission." Raph looks to Mikey and continues to whisper. "You'll need to stay out of this one. We're going to pretend that you're with Leo elsewhere. Keep out of sight so they won't question why Leo isn't here."
Mikey nods in understanding before heading away hiding behind a vent on the roof.
Raph turns to Donnie. "Mikey and Leo are supposedly elsewhere together. Make sure you remember." He gets a nod from the other before the two leap down. He swings his sai at one Footclan member making them drop the box they were holding.
Donnie swings his staff at some others making them jump back to avoid the attack.
The Footclan tense waiting for the other two turtles only to pause as no one comes.
"Just you two?" One Footclan member looks to Donnie then Raph.
"Yes. We are enough to stop you. The other two are checking things out elsewhere. So if you think you can get away with something else elsewhere think again. They'll find it for sure." Raph shifts to be ready to attack again. "Your plan ends here! Whatever it is!" He charges and his sai clashes with a small blade the Footclan member pulls out. He glares at the other swinging his other sai almost getting a cut on the others chest. He doesn't focus on what Donnie is doing as he gets ready for another attempt at a strike. He swings his right sai ready to use the other one as well if needed. He wants to ensure that he will get the hit in.
The Footclan member charges as if to just attack though no doubt is trying to sneak in a stab.
Raph is ready as he slashes the leg that is swung in a kick in his direction. He then swiftly slashes the hand holding the blade making the enemy drop it.
The Footclan member falls to the ground and Raph swiftly kicks the blade out of reach.
Raph takes the brief pause to glance for Donnie.
Donnie has knocked out two enemies and barely misses striking the head of a third who ducks. He has a minor cut on his arm though he is clearly doing alright.
Raphs attention is brought to two enemies that charge at him almost side by side. He shifts his stance bracing himself while also being ready to strike. He swings at the first who tries to hit him with a sword that Raph would barely count as katana like. He knocks the sword away using the same sai to slash the enemy's arm. He turns his head to the second who tries to use what could pass as a large kitchen knife yet fancier. He knocks it away and slashes the enemy's side. He turns back to the first as the second falls to his knees in pain at the slice on his side. He spins on foot swinging a kick into the enemy's head.
The enemy hits the ground and is for sure knocked out by both the kick plus the landing.
Raph looks to the second enemy who gets up only for that enemy to flee. He can see a hand at the wound on said enemy's side. He glances around though luckily no one else tries anything mostly running off, or they have been taken care of by Donnie. He lets out a breath and goes to Donnie making sure that everything is alright.
"I'm fine." Donnie insists though he lets Raph check him over.
"Okay." Raph is satisfied that any injury is indeed minor. He turns away. "Let's head to meet up with Mikey and Leo as planned." He keeps up the act that Leo's out there with Mikey. He can't say for sure if others are listening right now.
Donnie nods and the two head off to the rooftops.
They get Mikey and, carefully making sure they won't get spotted with the youngest, leave the area.
Once far enough away they take a small break on a rooftop.
"We did it." Raph looks to the other two as Mikey checks on Donnie for himself. "Good job you two."
"All I did was hide!" Mikey points out despite knowing why it had to be done. He slightly pouts when Raph gives him an annoyed 'seriously?!' look. "I'm just saying."
Donnie who can clearly sense the tension clears his throat. "Anyways. We should report what happened. I'll also make a note to keep an eye on that area. Just in case they come back."
"Yeah." Raph sighs though still gives Mikey a glare. "Let's do that."
Donnie heads over putting himself in Raph's way of seeing Mikey. He nudges the other until he moves to head to go home.
Mikey follows after them not pushing anymore buttons after a pleading look from Donnie. He can't say no to his mate especially with such a look being sent his way. So he stays quiet.
Once home Raph reports to Splinter then helps Donnie with first aid.
Mikey slips away checking on Leo to make sure he ate something. He smiles assuringly as Leo is clutching the sheets and laying on a pillow with his heavy breaths sounding tired. He never really wanted to see his brother like this though as a fellow omega he is one of the only few that can help. So he will make sure that Leo eats and drinks water. He just hopes he'll be out before any potential horny waves hits Leo. He doesn't want to see too much from the other. He finds a sandwich on the nightstand. He turns to the other only to smile at the other.
Leo is nuzzling Raphs mask with his eyes closed and softly churring.
Mikey pats Leo's shoulder getting his attention causing the churring to stop. "Let's get you to eat then you can hopefully rest." He holds out the sandwich letting Leo prop himself up before eating. He is glad to see the other getting some food into his system.
... After all of them head to bed...
Raph is having trouble sleeping. His heart wants to go to his mate so badly. He tosses and turns a bit trying to just not go. He doesn't want to just be taking advantage of the situation. He quickly grabs his phone when it lights up with a text. He spots that it is Donnie who is telling him that he is needed in the lab now. He gets up as it sounds urgent and rushes to the lab. He finds Donnie looking over security cameras. "What's going on?" He moves to stand next to Donnie's chair. His eyes scanning the camera feeds that are up.
"One of my cameras alerted me to movement. It's hard to make out what it is though it can't be an animal. The movements are precise as if meaning to stay out of the cameras view." Donnie explains making Raph get a bad feeling from it.
"I'll check it out. Where is it at?" Raph heads off once he has the information. He makes sure he has his gear despite being in a rush. He checks out the area keeping an eye out along the way. He swears he spots a figure behind some boxes so he approaches. "Show yourself!" He demands only for the figure to flee. He thinks it could be a rabbit though he could be just projecting Usagi onto whoever this is. He chases them out of the sewers and away, only slowing down after losing them in a small wooded area. He huffs and heads back to get back home. He doesn't notice anyone following him. He makes it back checking on Donnie with the cameras.
"Couldn't get a good look at whoever it was. Must be a mutant due to the speed." Donnie hums a little. "I'll keep an eye out and let you know if whoever it is comes back. I doubt it as they seemed to perhaps be in a fight or flight response to you. So might have been a mutant who wandered into the tunnels and was scared off by you. So get some rest."
"Okay." Raph agrees wanting to be in bed rather than stare at screens for who knows how long. He heads to his room holding his breath past Leo's door just in case. He flops to laying down on his bed now hoping for some rest. He does end up passing out just isn't sure when.
