Yes I am doing an "Of The Dead" for each title. No you cannot stop me.

Anyways welcome my fellow dragons/other mythologies to yet another book of mine! Now I know many of you are thinking either "Why the FUCK do you have another book?" or "This will never get uploaded." or even "Yay!", and to that I say...meep.

Honestly for a brief history as to why I'm even doing this, its simply because I felt like doing so months back. Read my H.O.T.D back from my first ever Wattpad account, that sucked ass, remembered I was working on an actual book based on the series, realized that most likely would've been ass, wanted to do one shots on Saya and Rei, as well as make my own book on the series seeing how little there is actually on this series, so BAM! A whole new book! Is this going to be good? Most likely not, but hey, I'll do my best.

So this book is going to follow a very similar formula like my DxD book, where the main character is an OC that, as you saw, has the same name; though his backstory is changed and will be somewhat explored in the book, it isn't too important. You can change him for your own character if you want, its fine, he's just here cause I like him.

Also he's not a gun guy/expert like I see in so many other fanfics, just pointing that out.

As for love interests, I decided on Saya being the main girl with Rei as the secondary; it'll be shown through the book as to why, I just thought it'd be cool. Takashi gets with Saeko since honestly they are my favorite pairing in this series, fun fact.

Welp I should probably move onto the QUESTION OF THE DAY! Best Highschool of the Dead character?

With all that said, I hope you enjoy the book!

With Ryo:

*Tick* *Tick* *Tick*

"Now if you turn your books to page..." The teacher's voice began to drown in the unwavering silence of the bored and barely conscious class, a grand total of two student's even really paying attention and writing notes to what the teacher is saying. The classroom looked...dead, as if everything and everyone, including even the teacher, was just counting the time until the period was over.

*Tick* *Tick* *Tick*

"I wanna read some manga." The thought of a student from a seat in the middle of the room, repeatedly drawing the number "two" in his notebook. Unlike the other student's that practically looked so similar to each other it seemed to add to dreary atmosphere, the student in question was different. His hair was somewhat wavy, with significant points on the edges of the hairs, and reached right down to his mid neck whilst his forehead was covered by it; he wore the Fujimi Academy's uniform, though neither of this truly made him stand out. No, what made him stand out was his completely white hair that tinted itself before becoming blood red at the bottom of his hair's bangs, and crimson red eyes that looked absolutely bored and tired, in combination with the absolutely blank and unreadable look on the boy's face made him out to be someone who didn't give much shit's about most of anything. In truth, it wasn't a wrong assumption to be made.

This was our main character, Ryo Kirishima. Currently his mind drifted to places that usually involved something sweet, or something out of manga, then back to something sweet. Safe to say, he was in a level beyond just normal boredom. No, this was advanced boredom, and he hated it.

"Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah blah." Was all the student heard as the lesson was taught, his pencil falling out of his hand and right onto his notebook as he leaned further back in chair and looked forward with a narrowed gaze. At this rate he'd die just from the nature of the class, so what to do? Well ,do what he usually does when he got tired of a place.

"Oh, yes Ryo?" The exhausted looking teacher said, seeing the student in question's hand raised, some of the other student's looking over at him in interest

"Can I use the restroom?" He asked simply, his answer getting some of his classmates to snicker as the teacher looked on blankly. They knew what this meant, he was going to leave and not return until the bell rang.

"You know what, sure. Take your time while you're at it." The teacher told him sarcastically. He didn't need to fight him, 5th period was halfway done and the boy was, surprisingly, top of this specific class. Knowing him he'd just learn quicker than he could teacher, so what was even the point fighting him?

"Go it." The red eyed male male said before nodding and picking up his bag, leaving the room soon after while ignoring the low comments and chuckles from his classmates. Good luck to them getting through that class, he'll just be somewhere reading.

Walking down the empty and silent hallway, the sweet lover began to think of just what to do now that he had the time. He was definitely going to finish the arc of the current series he was reading, but after that he didn't know really. Maybe nap until the bell? Probably, might do him good. Though while he thought about this he would encounter somewhat spiky blonde haired boy his age walking down the hall towards him, his light green eyes widening in surprise at seeing the guy in front of him.

"Ryo too? Is this just a cut day for your little group? I could've sworn I seen Takagi out here looking back." The boy said jokingly, the white-red haired male stopping in front of him

"Morita? The hell are you doing out here?" Ryo questioned, though he looked like he didn't really care for an answer

"Well I was just going to go play my guitar, and was going to go get it. What about you? Bored again?" He teased, the boy in question nearly rolling his eyes

"Tch, well go have fun. I'm heading off some place." He said before walking past his fellow student, the checkered shirt wearing male grinning at him as he walked away

"Just to let you know, Takashi is going to be on the steps like usual. Still moping you know, maybe you can talk some sense into him." Morita told the male, who turned the corner and put his hands in his pockets with a small exhale

"Me talk some sense into him? He knows I'm not good at that." He muttered before continuing on his walk. He figured he might as well head over Takashi and kill time with him, he was the only one besides him to really skip classes for one reason or another after all.

He also happened to be one of his four friends, one he knew since he was little after all. So spending time with an actual firmed of his wouldn't be a bad idea.

With that in mind he continued making his way over towards the open staircase that gave a pretty nice view towards the front of the school, and all of a sudden reading manga with an open breeze sounded pretty nice about then. However just before he got to the entrance that even allow him there he would find yet another one of his friend's, one's who's sharp glare attempted to peer into his soul, who's pink hair flowed behind her as she began to walk towards him before jabbing a finger at his chest.

"Great, you again. Do I have to give another lecture about skipping classes, stupid?" The one and only Saya Takagi insulted, the boy in front of her deadpanning as he stared down at her

"I guess she got to Takashi too." He thought before deciding to speak himself. "You know, you're also skipping class right now. I don't think you have power to talk."

"Its okay for me to skip class because I'm a genius." She said, her tone making it seem like it was the most obvious thing in the world, which coincidentally got her friend's deadpan to nearly increase

"The hypocrisy is real." He thought once again as she leaned in froward with her hands to her hips, an act that not only got her generously large breasts to bounce a bit but also give the male in front of her a clear view of her cleavage

"Well Takagi, why are you talking to me? Wouldn't a genius have better things to do with her life? Like learning more to become a "super genius" or some shit like that?" He asked blankly, getting the girl to "hmph!" and cross her arms under her bust, before giving her a blank look herself

"I hate stupid people. I especially hate the one's who aren't aware of their own stupidity. Thankfully you aren't one of them, but seems to be so in their head they you aren't aware of your real stupidity. So if I keep telling you that you're stupid, then you're more likely to not be stupid. Stupid."

"..."

"..."

"...Maybe you're a genius with tongue twister's." Ryo remarked, the pink haired girl letting out another "hmph!" to his reply

"But if I might add-"

"That has never stopped you before."

"I know. But if I'm such a stupid person, wouldn't you be even more stupid for counting to hang around me even with that in mind? Surely such a genius would have other genius' to be around rather than stick around someone like myself." He said while looking away, the girl opening her mouth to speak but finding nothing come out for the moment, instead choosing to look away with slightly puffed cheeks

"Hey, where's the witty comment?" His eyes shot down at her, a hand snapping from his pocket and grasping her chin, turning her head to head to look up at him, orange and red eyes connecting. "I'm waiting Takagi, give me your best shot."

"...Stupid." She said, nearly threatening to smirk at him as she stood and stared unwavering at her friend's stare. They've been down this rode so many times over the years that she wasn't really affected by him the way others were, and vice versa for him. It was the beauty of their relationship, and in some way got the two to feel the most comfortable around each other, and even understand the other more than anyone else.

It was a weird relationship, but they kind of liked it. Not in a romantic sense though...neither would ever admit it.

"Tch." Was what Ryo said before letting her go, continuing to stare down at the girl with his challenging stare as he too crossed his arms. "I get it, you don't want me skipping classes or whatever. I can't help it if they're boring as shit."

"Not surprised. You are a quick learner to where a genius like myself can be surprised, but you do know that cutting will quickly decrease your chances of passing this year, right?" She asked him, who stayed silent and glanced away

"You really are stupid huh? Whatever, just don't go skipping class a lot, or you're going to have to go to after-school classes or repeat a year. I don't want to see someone close to me in intelligence having that happen just because of a bit of boredom." She said, hands back on her hips as the male in front of her looked back at her

"Was that a compliment?" He questioned, the self proclaimed genius sending a glare his way

"What else? Don't let it get to your head." Saya told him, even pointing at him. The white-red haired male merely scoffed slightly before walking past her and raising a hand and placing it on her head once directly next to her, the girl's eyes widening from the action.

"Sure, whatever you say. Just get yourself back to class, genius." He told her, himself nearly smirking as he began to walk off and out of the interior of the school

"Hey! What was that about?!" The girl asked, turning towards him on a dime and causing him to look over his shoulder towards her

"I don't know, just got a feeling to do it." He said before bullying walking away and leaving. "Doesn't help you're cute."

"C-Cute?" She repeated, a blush beginning to form on her face before she turned away with a huff, walking down the hall and back to class with her hands balled by her waist. "Stupid."

Meanwhile Ryo had made his way over onto the staircase, haven taken out an action manga out of his bag that rested right on his shoulder. As he rose up the levels, he would find a sulking man wearing the same outfit as him, though there was a clear red shirt under the uniform for the school, leaning right the railings. Closing his manga, he would step up and lean his back against the railing next to the person, who looked up at him with minor surprise.

"Hey Takashi." The white-red greeted while not even looking a his friend, instead looking up

"Hey. Cutting class too?" The spiky haired male asked, getting a nod from the boy who opened his manga up once again

"Yep. Takagi didn't see so happy about it." Was the response given, the red eyed male not even looking up from his manga as he continued. "Though I got to speak to her again because of it, which has been the highlight of my day so far."

"Usually is for you two..." Takashi muttered, staring out towards the sight in front of him as he once again began to sulk

"What do you mean by that?" Ryo questioned. However he was met with silence, taking a glance at his depressed feeling friend before focusing back in his manga.

"Rei again?" He questioned, the male next to him nodding. "I don't get why you're so hung up about it. It was a pinky promise you two made when you were little, people are going to change and have different interests as the years go on."

"You don't have to put it so bluntly..." Was the response given, the boy that screamed "main character" even sulking a bit more at the comment

"Tch. Takashi, she's with somebody else now. I'm not good at romantic shit, but my best advice for you is to move on with time and find someone else that you can connect to and get into a relationship with. At the end of the day a pink promise doesn't mean much between kids, so her moving on isn't too surprising."

"What I'm trying to say is." Ryo continued, while closing his eyes. "Focus on yourself, and that will at least help with that aspect of whatever relationship you two got going on. If you want to I'll speak with her about whatever else she has since she clearly won't tell you about it. I'd rather not have my friends fight over something potentially stupid."

Ryo went back to focusing fully on his manga, but as the moments passed could tell that Takashi was staring at him, which got him to stare right at him. "What?"

"Oh, sorry. I just didn't know you could get sentimental like that." He replied, the manga reader just clicking his tongue lightly

"Don't overthink it." He told him, his friend staring back out at the front of the school

"But...Maybe you're right. Maybe I...Should...?" His voice began to trail off, pure confusion filling his tone. Noticing it, Ryo would turn around and look at what exactly could've gotten him that way, and came across the interesting sight of a man banging against the school gate.

"A break in?" He thought to himself, but something seemed...off. The man just banged against the gate like he was a dead-man walking, and released groans after groans. It was like he didn't care about how to get in, just that he wanted to get in.

Staring at the gate in caution, the student couldn't help but feel put off. He assumed that the person was just on drugs or was drunk to all hell, but for some reason this felt entirely different. His senses were screaming at him, warning him explicitly that something was off about the person at the gate, but for some reason didn't turn away, waiting for something to happen like it was of the upmost importance. From the quick glance he gave at Takashi, he could tell he felt something similar.

"Excuse me, but what do you think you're doing?" An extremely busty teach called Kyoko Hayashi questioned, pushing up her glasses as she and three guys walked up to the gate to confront the man. The man however just kept on banging not he gate with his body, getting the red haired haired woman to glare at him. "Quit that!"

"Now now, Ms. Hayashi. I'll take care of him." One of them said, rolling up his sleeve before grabbing the man by his arm and slamming him back into the gate, possibly to intimidate him. "Hey!"

"Woah, Mr. Tejima! Don't resort to violence!" She called out, her and another guy stepping forward, which managed to stop Tejima from acting for the time being. The only thing heard was the breathing of the man he had in his hand, but nothing could no one thought would happen would suddenly come to pass, something that would change everything.

*CHOMP!* *SPLATTER* *SPLATTER!*

The man all of a sudden bite the one who held him, his teeth digging straight into his arm and spraying blood out of the wound and onto his dead looking face. There was immediately recoil by the male in blue, who screamed out in pure and utter pain as he fell right onto his back, holding his bitten and profusely bleeding arm. His colleagues rushed to help him, all while Tkashi and Ryo stood in utter silence, both stunned at what just transpired before them.

"The fuck?" The red eyed male questioned, watching as the man behind the gate licked up the blood on him as the one who was bit began to slow in his movements. His normally bored looking face actually became a somewhat surprised one, and he looked at the scene with a newfound caution.

"H-He's dead..." One of the three near the gate said in shock, the two others looking down in fear and horror as they saw the still and silent body of Tejima on the ground

"Now way...It was just a bite..." Hayashi commented breathless, but she alongside the other two would make noises of shock when they saw the black haired male presumed dead twitch

"Are you okay, Mr. Tejima?" She asked, the reply given to her was the male widening his now pale and dead looking eyes, something extremely similar to the man still at the gate. "

"Mr. Tejima!" She said in relief. "I'm so glad-"

The two on the stairs watched in more shock as the guy reached up, grabbed the teacher by her collar, pulled her down and him up to bite her in the neck. Her pained screams filled the air alongside her blood, her groans and gurgles ricocheting across the area as one of the guy's with her fell the the ground, the other booking it away. Ryo dropped his manga, a bead of sweat forming on his face as he looked upon the scene. Truth be told he's been in some bloody situations before, but this...this had a whole different feel to it.

"What is this...?" He thought, watching as the teacher began to rise up. Looking down at his hand and seeing the tenseness of it, a smirk began to dance on his face as he glared down. "Is this fear? How interesting."

"Hey Takashi, we need to get out of here. I have a feeling this is going to blow up terribly." He said to his friend, his composure resetting as he looked next to him...

Only to see that Takashi was already gone, leaving nothing but comical dash lines as to where his body was.

"..." Ryo said nothing as he looked at the last spot of his friend, only thinking one thing to himself as he looked back at the scene on the ground, one that saw many more of whatever that man was from earlier piling by the gate and eventually getting it open

"That bitch."

With Takashi:

Takashi booked it through the halls, his mind racings. He swore he almost tripped a few times up the stairs and down the hallway of the school but he honestly didn't give a shit at the moment. All he cared about was getting to Rei, and getting her and whatever other friends he could find out of here before whatever just happened got to them to. So when he managed to get to her class he slammed the door open, panting lightly as he began to walk towards his childhood friend, who alongside the rest of the class looked in surprise at his sudden entrance.

"Komuro! Couldn't just skip class, could you?! You had to disturb other' learning environments too!" The teacher called out, but the spiky haired male just ignored him as he grabbed the brown haired girl by the arm

"Come on, we're getting out of here." He told her whilst pulling her up, the girl letting out a noise of surprise as she did so. This action got Saya to shoot up from her seat with a light glare of confusion, a grey haired male walking up to them quickly after.

"W-What?" Rei managed out surprised

"Hey Takashi, what's going on?" None other than Hiashi Igou questioned, his friend looking back at him seriously

"Some people just got killed at the school gate, it's too dangerous to stay here." He replied, causing mummers across the room as a certain glasses wearing boy glanced around quite exhausted

"R-Really?" Hiashi asked in complete shock

"What would I stand to gain from lying about this?" Was Takashi's reply, and was about to walk off with Rei until she tossed his arm off of her and backed up

"Back up! I never understand what you're thinking-"

*SLAP!*

At that current moment the slap of 87 rang throughout the school, and sure enough most, including the dead looking one's, blinked and stopped. With the class meanwhile some released shocked gasps, Rei holding her red cheek with glare aimed at Takashi would glared back her.

"What-"

"Shut up and listen!" He exclaimed before turning at Hiashi, who returned his stare with one of grave seriousness before he then looked towards the sole pink haired girl in the classroom. "Takagi! You might wanna get out of here and come with us too, it isn't safe."

"Huh?! What are you on about now?!" She questioned incredulously, the brown haired male frowning before turning towards the door

"You'll see if you stay here, but it'll be better if you leave right away. We're going for the outside, see you there!" He said before grabbing Rei once again and dashing out, who squeaked in surprise as they were followed by Hiashi quickly after, Saya standing at her seat before sitting back down

"I wonder what that was about." She thought to herself. No way something like that happened, he had to be delusional, that was the only explanation. But...Why did she have this sinking feeling in her chest?

After a few moments with the trio they would be seen running down the hallway, Rei now not attached to Takashi and running by her lonesome as they ran past the large window in the hall. It was a beautiful day, shining tons of light into the rather bland looking halls, but none stopped to admire it as they ran.

"So are you finally going to tell us what's going on?" Asked the antenna haired girl

"Someone was at the school gate. And when the gym teacher's went to check it out, something happened. And now this gym teacher' are killing each other." Takashi told her, the red eyed girl looking at him in disbeleif

"And we're supposed to believe that?" She questioned incredulously. That sounded like something straight from a horror movie, no way that was actually true. She kept that thought in her mind until they stopped right near a janitor's closet, Hiashi rummaging through it and causing the other two to stop their movements.

"Did you forget something?" Takashi questioned, as he was tossed a wooden baseball bat

"If what you're saying is true, then we'll need weapons." Was what the grey haired male said, his friend nodding while his girlfriend would grab a mop and tear off the pole and grip it in her hand. Even if she didn't believe what was going on, better safe than sorry.

"What about you?" The other male asked him, the boy smiling a bit

"I may not look like it, but I'm a black belt in karate. Anyways, we should go." He told him, the brown haired girl next to him speaking up next

"I can call my dad. He's a police officer." She said, and was given a phone by her childhood friend quickly after

"Rules were meant to be broken after all." He joked a bit as she dialled the number and put the phone to her ear. It rang for a few moments, but slowly but surely Rei's face would shift into one of fear, her pupils shrinking and shaking as the phone hit her with the "call again later" message.

"N-No way..." He got out, obviously startled at how the police phone line of all things were busy. "The line is busy? No way..."

*Tap* *Tap*

"Attention, all students!" A voice, presumable the principal, over the school's intercom began. "Violence has broken out on campus! Students' should evacuate the campus according to teacher's instructions! I repeat! Violence has broken out on campus!"

"They've finally noticed..." Takashi got out lowly as the principal repeated his words

"Student's should evacuate campus-!"

.

.

.

It was silent, a steady ringing sounding out across the intercom and throughout the school. It left many uneasy, an the trio in the hall all began to tense at the implications, beads of sweat beginning to form on their faces.

"No way..." Takashi commented at the sudden silence, one that began to lose itself as the principal began speaking again...though it wasn't how anyone expected

"Help! Save me!" His screams were simultaneous against the groaning over over the speaker, something that left everyone in the school silent as they listened on. Meanwhile a boy would begin to crawl out of the room undetected, deciding against staying in his classroom when the eventual reaction would unfold.

"Hirano." Saya called out, having came back from her suddenly leaving the class to follow after her friend and was now walking towards the glasses wearer

"Takagi." He said with a dumb smile on his face, getting shushed by the genius who squatted down next to him

"We're getting out of here." She told him simply as the screams became louder over the intercom

"NO! HELP! ARGHHHHHH!" He terrified and pained screams ran across the entire school, most staying still while one stood up in the middle of a dojo looking room, someone that appeared to be in a medical office waking up from her nap, and a certain red eyed male essentially speed walking through a hallway on guard. He suddenly stopped, it being radio silent again though the school, no one daring to speak or move a muscle, the only thing moving was a simple piece of chalk that rolled off the desk and onto the floor...

*SHATTER!*

That, seemed to set off a chain reaction.

At once a series of screams filled the air, a multitude of student's and teacher's alike rushing out of their classrooms and barreling over the other in and attempt to get out of wherever they were. Many fought and pushed against the other desperately, resulting in many different injuries, leaving some even dead after they either got hit wrong or landed from from their fall not he ground or down the stairs. One thing was clear, they didn't not wanna fuck around and find out what was going to happen, which was the same case for Takashi's trio as Hisashi began running.

"This way!" He called out, the two turning towards him

"Aren't we going outside?" The spiky haired male questioned

"Everyone's escaping through the classrooms, we'll go through the admin's office!" He told him, Rei already going after him

"Hiashi is right, just do as he says!" She told him, the brown eyed male staring at them before running with them

"I know that! Hey Ryo, what's your thoughts on this?!" He asked his friend as he looked behind him

...Only to find out that Ryo was nowhere to be seen.

"Wait Ryo? Hey! Where did you go?!" He exclaimed out, the two in front of him looking back at him confused as all Hell

"Ryo? He's not here? Are you losing it, Takashi?" Rei questioned

"What do you mean? Wasn't he here since I gotten you two out of the classroom?" He further questioned, but only got a head shake from the red eyed girl

"Then where could he be-oh my God I left him on the stairs." He said, wide eyed at the realization as both he and the other two stopped and staring at him in pure shock

"You WHAT?!" Rei shouted, shock and some horror lacing her tone as her friend stepped back in his own shock

"I thought he was with me. He was with me there and I assumed he heard me when I said to leave with me, and since he's usually so quiet I just thought he was with me the entire time. Oh Hell, where could he even be?!" The bat holder got out. He genuinely believed he was being followed by the white-red head, and in all this confusion never once thought to himself that he wasn't with him. But thinking back it made sense! If Ryo was here so would Saya more than likely or she would've asked him for confirmation on everything, or he would've definitely spoken up by now even with his usual silence. How could he be so stupid?! Here he was while his friend could be out in all this chaos possibly d-

"Hey, it's Ryo right? I don't want to sound like a dick but he's tough, I'm sure he'll be capable of handling himself at the moment. Knowing him he's probably already found a way to keep himself safe for the moment." Hiashi said as he took a step forward, hie words doing little calm the nerves of the friend leaver

"But still..." He started before snapping his head back, him and the other's hearing loud screaming and groaning from around the corner behind them

"We can deal with that later, for now we just got to worry about ourselves." The karate master said before rushing out of the school and into the open not he roof, followed by a worried Rei and Takashi, the latter gritting his teeth a bit while gripping this bat tightly

"Hope you're safe Ryo. Lets hope you don't do anything hasty when I see you again."

With Ryo:

"I'm doing to do something hasty when I see him again."

Ryo meanwhile was sitting in the corner of an abandoned and messed up classroom, the door shut and barricaded somewhat. He sat on a random desk, finishing up his manga before sighing and putting it down. While he couldn't finish the rest of the series at this point, he could at least imagine the ending to it, and with that imagination he also came to a conclusion as to just what was happening. To cut it short, it was a zombie outbreak.

Stepping off the desk and stretching his arms, he would watch the door as zombies stepped outside the classroom and towards some screaming and terrified humans. Before getting here he managed to catch a glimpse of how they act and what they looked like. Dead, limping and only getting energy in proximity of a human, reactions to noise, taste and want for flesh and blood, the eating of people, essentially superhuman strength and durability, infections through bites and the relatively quick turn rate. It all fit textbook zombie criteria. It was sad they he needed to see a few people die and fight off some others in order to get this information, but at they they left him with the knowledge of what these things were.

"Still dead." He muttered as he now held a blue phone to his ear, glaring lightly in front of him before hanging up and putting it back in his pocket. He couldn't contact the police department, nor could he contact his siblings, who's while their lines weren't dead they didn't pick up. It was strange, and he didn't like it one bit.

Leaning back not he desk behind him, he thought over his situation. He was ditched by his friend back on the stairs, he went through the crowded halls until he found an empty classroom to gather himself in, learned about the creatures outside, and now have to find a way out. As much as he didn't want to do it, he'd most likely have to wait until the night to go and escape, and as much of a taboo as that is in usual zombie outbreaks he had a small feeling he was safe as long as he navigated around the places quietly and efficiently. These creatures seemed to only react to sound, if he was quiet would be fine, especially if he had a weapon or two on him.

But now here came the hard part, other people, mainly his friends and family. He lived with his two siblings Yuki and Damien, and while he was really worried for their safety and wellbeing, he had a feeling they were fine. It may just be a fleeting hope but they were tough and resourceful, more than him even, and are definitely smart enough to survive through whatever this is depending on how long it runs its course, especially if they were together; so they were fine, though he'd definitely want to go check up on them back at their house. As for his friends...that was a different story.

He had a feeling Takashi would be fine for now, but that's pretty much where his thoughts ended. Hiashi might get folded alongside Rei, from either trying to protect each other or from the latter losing control of her emotions. Saya though he could see being fine, especially if she has someone protecting her, she was smart after all. However if she's backed into a corner...

Yeah it's decided. He'll worry about his family later, for now he needed to make sur this friends live to see the end of the day.

"Weapons, weapons..." He muttered to himself looking around. He didn't think throwing backpacks or cases would help for more than a distraction, he was not about to kill a zombie with a pen, and he couldn't carry a desk everywhere...wait...desk...

*CRACK!* *BANG!*

He'd, as quietly as he could, flipped a desk over onto his before using surprisingly strong strength to bend and tear out the leg of it, then repeated with the other. Spinning the two metal poles in his hands and gripping them, he would thrust the two out a few times before swiping them around. After a few moments he stopped and looked at the his two new weapons, his look of usual blankness becoming more deadpan as he did so.

"Good enough." He said lowly. These things packed some power to penetrate and push someone back at least, and that was good enough for him. for right now. He'd have to go and stop by the janitor's closet quickly though and see what was there, but he'll worry about doing that once he even makes it a few feet of the classroom safely. There was no way out of this without any bodies falling, and he made up his mind as he saw student's being devoured that he needed to kill the zombies if he wanted to survive; the zombie movies said aim for the head, so that's what he'll do unless proven otherwise. So sighing and accepting his future kill count, he would look around the classroom one more time and give it a peace sign.

"Goodbye classroom, manga. It's been a pleasure working with you." He said to no one, walking towards the door of the room and opening it up, peeking a head out to observe his surroundings. Just his luck, a few zombies were already outside and wandering, but thankfully due to the cries of other students missed the slight noise his door opening made and went towards that.

"Thank the Gods." He said as he hurried out of the class. He made sure to move as quick as possible while being light on his feet, careful that he didn't attract the zombies that stood around him as he made his way down the hall. His nose wrinkled in some disgust as he smelled the corpses and blood all around the school, wiping his nose with his fist as he continued on down the hall.

"Alright, need to get to the nurse's office. Having a few first aid supplies wouldn't hurt-"

"MISUZU WATCH OUT!"

Ryo snapped his head in the direction of the sudden noise, the tapping of shoes dashing from the class that was right in front of the one he was at becoming louder and louder as they approached. Gritting his teeth somewhat, he noticed that zombies began to pour in to where the noise was, leading them right to his direction. Gripping his desk legs tightly, he just thought "fuck it" and was going to hit them away with his desk legs as he tried get to the office, no way some random people were going to cause his death like that.

*THUMP!*

Or that was what could've happened had one of them, a girl with blue hair knocking right into him and barely tripping herself, her friend right behind her rushing after her. Ryo was not prepared at all for the suddenly collision due to his focus on the bigger threats around him, and as a result was knocked right onto the top of a staircase that rested next to him. He attempted gather his balance but it wasn't enough, and the red eyed male was sent tumbling down the stairwell with sizeable thumps and hits onto his body, one landing even hitting his head as he landed not he ground in a position straight out of Family Guy.

"W-With my last thought...I curse Takashi..." He thought before passing out, his soul comically flying out of his mouth as he laid there unmoving. Meanwhile the two girls stared at his body that rolled at least a flight down in shock and horror.

"O-Oh my God, did I just..." The girl with black haired muttered in horror, her hands to her mouth. However one was grabbed by her friend, who looked at her with steel determination.

"We can think about that later, for now we need to run." She said before dashing off with her friend, the two beginning spread positive comments to each other to make sure the other felt better and that things would go by more smoothly

Oh those tragic BFF's.

Timeskip:

*SPLAT!*

The zombie didn't react as the wet rag hit it over the head, instead continuing to groan and moan and over forward as it moved forward, illuminated by the light of the steadily setting sun. Behind it a good distance was Saya and Hirano, the latter equipped with what seemed to be a nail gun and the former hiding and squatting behind a sink in the hallway, carefully observing the undead student as he wet another rag.

"W-What are you doing?" The boy asked the crush who he may or may not have a crush on, one who contained to wetten the rag in her hand

"Shut up and watch." She told him before tossing another rag at a nearby locker, which caught the zombies attention as they slammed into the metal holder like an idiot. This got Hirano to stare in awe, while the orange eyed girl on the ground looked on observant and validated.

"Do you understand now? See how he didn't react when the rag hit him? They don't feel pain, so they only react to sound. I don't think they can see or he wouldn't have run into that locker." She explained, watching as the zombie tried more desperately to get into whatever was inside of the locker

"What about heat?" The guy with the nail gun questioned

"We'll try it if we have to." The twin-tailed girl said, standing up and positioning her bag over her shoulder better. "Lets move."

"Are we really going to outside?" Hirano questioned, the girl looking back at him with her usual sharp and questioning stare

"And what's wrong with that?" She questioned, the boy smiling nervously with closed eyes

"Umm, I don't like walking..." Was his sheepish response, the girl in front of him turning to fully look at him with a hand on her hip

"This is why I hate fat nerds! I don't wanna hear you complain about walking until you're old enough to drive!" She scolded, finger up and everything, and though he initially flinched Hirano kept his sheepish smile. However he lost it once he saw Saya put her finger down and look before her surprised and in some fear, tracing where she was staring and looking to see that a few zombies heard her and were now advancing towards them.

Meanwhile in another part of the school, a zombie would get pushed away onto a locker by a girl with purple hair and a kendo stick, who moved past the now fallen undead almost uncaringly. She was closely followed by a blonde, extremely busty nurse, the two walking down the hallway quickly.

"The staff room? What a difficult request you have made." None other than Saeko Busujima said, looking next to her and towards the nurse who's shoes "clacked" away at the ground

"But everyone keeps their car keys in there." She said, almost skipping to keep up with the student who pushed away yet another undead close to them. "Hey, why don't you just kill them? It should be easy for you..."

"Stopping to crush the head of everything we come across would be no different from restricting ourselves from movement. We would become surrounded. it would be hard to get away should one of them take hold." Was the explanation given, the two stopping just next to a glass door that showcased a connection from one part fo the school to another

"Wow, you really thought this out." The blonde said before stepping forward. Unfortunately something was not he ground in front of her, and she fell onto her knees with a "thump!". Her chest bounced and looked ready to burst from her shirt as it did that, a tear pricking at her eye as she held the back of her head, a red hue forming on her cheeks. "Oh geez! What was that?"

"Such fashion is unsuitable for running." Saeko said before gripping the woman's skirt. She let out a noise of shock as she saw it being torn, the side being ripped enough to reveal and entire leg alongside her plump thigh, also with what one could assume to be a thin and probably lacy purple pair of panties.

"Ehh! This is a brand name skirt!" The woman on the ground said, raising her fists up and down comically as the purple haired student rose up onto her feet fully

"Tell me. Which do you you value more? Your clothes, or your life?" The sword holder questioned in an almost deadpan, to which Shizuka with more tears in her eyes and pumped fists answered in her wisdom

"Both!"

"..."

While those two engaged in their shenanigans, we would cut back to the previously laid out on the ground student. His body began to twitch back to life, waking up from his world of unconsciousness and sitting up on his has, rubbing a hand behind his head and through his hair. Luckily there was no blood, somehow, and he yawned slightly as he looked around tiredly like he just came out of a dream.

"Big sister, can you not wake me up..." He began but stopped when he saw the blood covered walls and zombies standing or walking acrid the halls. He was suddenly wide awake and fully out of his dream that consisted of ice cream, Saya, and him throwing Takashi off a building. Looking around, he would grab his single desk leg, he truthfully didn't know where the other one was, and stood up.

"Holy fuck, I'm alive." He thought to himself. Did his body hurt? Somewhat, but overall he was fine and ready to fight if need be. It was a miracle he didn't move at all during what he believed to be a long time of sleep, if the sun setting told him anything. God was really looking out for that one. Thanks God.

...But wait, wasn't he also not doing anything to stop this zombie outbreak in the first place? Isn't he allowing this to even go on? Fuck him actually.

...Wait, can he say that? Is this-oh fuck it.

"Alright so I'm alone in a school, don't know how many zombies are in here, and God knows where my friends are or if they are even alive. Great day so far." He muttered lowly as he began forward. First things's first, get a better weapon. After that, look for friends. After after that, get the fuck out of dodge.

As Ryo walked down the hallways and towards a place where he could, hopefully, find a better weapon to combat the undead with than a desk leg, two student's walked down the halls of another part of the school. This was Takashi and Rei, noticeable without Hiashi, and walking down the halls quickly but dejectedly with their pole and bat in their hands, both slightly wet.

"Hiashi..." The red eyed girl breathed out, tears beginning to form in her eyes as the boy next to her looked at her solemnly. Even after spending a good while consoling her and fighting back the zombies, it seemed like she still couldn't fully process or accept the grey haired male's death. He couldn't blame her though, he could barely get over it himself, especially since he was the one to put his zombified friend down.

"Rei, it'll be okay. Let's just get to somewhere safe." He told her, coming in closer to her and resting a hand on her shoulder, something the girl melted into as she nodded as thy continued on walking

While he was telling her those words, he was also telling them to himself. After they get somewhere safe...what then? Their main priority is leaving the school, but he wasn't sure how they would do that. Furthermore he wasn't sure if Saya or Ryo were even alright, despite his "confidence" in them surviving this long with how they were. But what was on his mind more was his parents. His dad he could see doing alright, but his mom worked at a school, and if something like this is happening at his school then what about hers...he didn't even want to think about her potential death. But he needs to stay focused, and-

"KYAAAAA!"

The sudden scream alerted everyone in the area. Takashi, Rei, Saeko, and Shizuka all stopped their movements in surprise at the scream; all while Ryo, who finally made it to the janitor's closet and managed to find a dropped and bloody pocket knife on the ground and a small axe in the closet, looked behind him.

"Takagi?" He muttered in realization, gripping his newfound weapons before heading off towards the direction of the scream

"What was that sound?" Shizuka questioned, looking up and around her

"Did it come from the staff room?" Saeko asked herself, before taking off towards the direction of the voice as well, followed by the nurse

"Was that...?" Rei began, a hand over her mouth as the realization kicked in alongside the bat holder next to her

"Takagi!" Takashi exclaimed before both he and Rei took off as well

Meanwhile with the holder of the scream of the ages, she stood behind Hirano who fired off nails after nails at the zombies that approached them with pinpoint accuracy, knocking down each with only one shot. However it was clear he was running out of ammo, though it didn't look like the pink haired girl knew that as she began to berate him.

"I won't be able to figure out more about them if you keep killing them." She told him

"Help me fight them, Takagi!" The gun shooter said, the pink haired girl letting out a noise of surprise

"Why the Hell do I have to fight?!" She questioned incredulously

"I'm almost out of ammo!" He told her, the girl staring at him like he was stupid

"So?! Just reload it!" She exclaimed loudly, causing the boy to flinch as he looked back at her tiredly

"But...Behind you..." He said simply, the self proclaimed genius looking back blankly to see a zombie just staring at her from behind. Her resulting scream once again echoed across the school, with Takashi and Rei rushing down the stairs quickly, Saeko and Shizuka running across the interconnected pathway of the school, and Ryo rushing up the stairs quickly, each with the goal to save the the girl at the front of their minds.

"H-Hirano!" Saya exclaimed in fear, taking a step back once the zombie opened his mouth wide to growl hungrily at her. At the mention of his name her fellow student aimed at the zombie and took fire.

*Click* *Click* *Click*

"I-I'm out...!" He called out, the pink haired girl next to him taking a few steps back and tripping on a bag on the ground. She fell onto her ass almost immediately after, her back hitting the trophy case display behind her as the zombie approached her quickly.

"Don't you dare come near me!" She shouted, though the zombie didn't care and kept on advancing, prompting the girl to move even further back into the shattered display behind her

"Takagi!" Hirano cried out, trying to go to help her but was stopped by more zombies beginning to approach him instead

"Go away! Go away!" Saya shouted, beginning to toss multiple trophies at the undead person that walked towards her. However each broke upon contact with it, not even slowing it down in the slightest. Looking around to find something, anything that could save her here, she would come across a drill underneath the bag she tripped on.

"GO AWAY!" She yelled, tears in her eyes through a harsh glare on her face. The drill made direct contact with the suddenly lunging zombie's head, the girl turning her body and facing away from the spraying of blood of the zombie she was killing with struggled noises leaving her mouth. It was at this time the five rocketing towards her direction would meet up at the scene, looking at the scene in front of him with varying degrees of surprise and worry.

"I'm sick of these things!" The increasingly bloody girl cried out before shutting her eyes tight as she committed murder on zombiekind. The one's with weapons out of those that arrived looked towards each other, nodding in understanding.

"I will take the right!" Saeko called out as Rei rushed forward

"Rei!" Takashi exclaimed as he too advanced

"And I go the left!" The pole wielder exclaimed, letting out a battle cry as she smashed her weapon through the head of a zombie and into the wall behind it

"I got...whatever is left." Ryo said as he went forward towards the zombies coming towards Hirano and side-swiped his axe into the head of one of the zombies, tearing it out and stabbing it into the head of another, then slicing into the head of the last in a straight line

"Aghh!" The bat user with them shouted, jumping up and bringing his weapon down upon a zombie, sending git bouncing cartoonishly and into a wall, finished off by Rei jumping at it and stabbing it through the skull. Meanwhile Saeko would knock two over the head with her kendo sword, blood coming out of the top of their heads from her hit as she gave them a cold stare, smirking.

It took a second or two after, but eventually all of the zombies were dead. Even Saya's was dead, the drill stopping its spinning as she tore it out of the head of the zombie that fell onto its back after she squeaked and pushed it back. The seven in the hall stood around the corpses of undead, though one quickly sank onto her knees in shock, looking close to a mental breakdown while looking at the glass of the trophy display.

"Takagi..." Hirano began, reaching out towards her before being knocked away by Shizuka's chest, her and Rei running over towards the fallen girl as Ryo walked over after them

"Takagi! Are you okay?!" The brown haired girl cried out, kneeling down to her level with a hand on her shoulder

"Obviously not, look at her." Ryo said as he approached the three, rubbing a hand through the girl's hair. "Looks like you had a tough time, Takagi."

"Miyamoto...Ryo..." She got out breathlessly, all while Takashi closed the door that Saeko and Shizuka came from tightly

"I assume we are all well acquainted with Ms. Marikawa, correct?" Said the blue eyed girl. "I am Saeko Busujima of 3-A."

"I'm Takashi Komuro of 2-B." Said male said, everyone looking towards the two as Rei began to smile somewhat in awe of the purple haired girl

"You're the same Busujima-senpai who won at the national championship last year. I'm in the Sojutsu Club. My name is Rei Miyamoto." She introduced

"I'm, err, Kohta Hirano." The glasses wearer spoke up, rubbing a hand behind his head

"I'm Ryo Kirishima of 3-B, and the future kicker of Takashi's ass." The axe wielder said, the boy he name dropped snapping his head in his directly with wide eyes in fear

"H-Hey now Ryo, I'm sorry for what happened then. It wasn't what it was, it never was what it was..." He apologised, but instantly backed up when his friend walked towards him

"You left me like we had a one night stand, Ditch." He said, getting all up close and personal with the boy who raised his hands in defence, a sigh that got Rei to chuckle somewhat at as Saeko even released a smile

"It's a pleasure to meet you all." She said pleasantly, Hirano smiling a rather different smile from everyone else. Meanwhile the pink haired girl on the ground clicked her tongue, glaring at everyone as she rose onto her feet.

"What the...You're all so soft..." She began, causing everyone to look at her. "Senpai? Seriously? You two are the same age! You must not know how to count since you got held back a year!"

"Hey now, Takagi...!" Takashi began to stop her, but was held back at Ryo who stared at him and then the orange eyed girl with boredom written on his face, but his message was clear. Rei meanwhile looked hurt by what the genius said, but she wasn't done just there as she turned to glare daggers at Takashi with shrunken pupils.

"Don't treat me like I'm stupid! I'm a genius! I can do anything once I put my mind to it! I'm...I'm..." She began trailing off, holding an arm between her chest as she tried to control the trembling of her body and words, tears forming in her eyes quickly. Before she could say anything else Saeko walked up and put a hand on her shoulder, something that was meant to both stop and calm her.

"Stop. That's quite enough." She said calmly, the pink haired girl staying silent as she shaky pupils turned towards a mirror next to her. What she saw was something completely different from what she usually saw. The confident and clean Takagi was replaced with a bloody and shaky one, a sight that made the tears begin to flood out of her eyes.

"I-I'm all dirty...I need to tell mom to get it cleaned..." She barely even got out through sky breaths, and nearly jumped when a hand went onto her other shoulder

"Its over Takagi, you're done fighting." Ryo said, his hand sliding out the girl's body that shook desperately. That was it, the damn broke, and Saya grit her teeth with tears pouring down her face as she threw herself into the boy's arms, beginning to sob right into his chest as the white-re haired male grabbed the back of her head to pull her in closer. Everyone stared in complete sympathy at the scene in front of them, and it took a while for anyone to even have the strength to speak up again.

"We should head somewhere safe, this might attract them..." Takashi brought up, everyone else nodding and beginning to walk away from the scene. Saeko and Rei took the front with Hiranoi and Shizuka in the middle, in the back being Saya who was wrapped around Ryo's arm and the spiky haired male that stood next to them.

It was there one thing was made clear. Nothing would be the same as it was before.
