Chapter 15: Meet the Plumbers

Hey everyone! I'm back with a new chapter!

This original chapter is a little messy—I didn't have time to fix it because I've been working on my other stories. I tried to make my own special for Miraculous: Tales of Fireblaze and Frost Fang, but I couldn't think of anything.

Anyway, I hope you guys like this! So sit back, relax, review, and enjoy!

In the vastness of space, aboard a sleek spaceship, Zorath, Lyra, Rex, and Zeebo sat in the cockpit, monitoring their course as the ship quietly hummed through the stars. Zorath was piloting, his expression focused and calm, while Lyra leaned back, casually tapping on her console. Rex adjusted the navigation controls, while Zeebo floated around, buzzing with his usual energy.

"How's Jake doing?" Rex asked, breaking the comfortable silence. "It's been a while since we checked in with him."

Zorath glanced over his shoulder, his brow furrowing slightly. "Last I heard, he was handling things with the Titans on Earth. No major updates recently, though. Should we check in?"

Lyra crossed her arms, leaning forward with mild concern. "Yeah, it's about time. Between the missions, his powers, and how chaotic things get around the Titans, I'd say checking in is a smart move. Besides, you never know when he might need help."

Zeebo floated closer to the main console, tapping it playfully. "I bet he's doing just fine! The kid's always on top of things, especially with that Omnitrix on his side."

Rex, not entirely convinced, nodded. "Still, it can't hurt to check. He's strong, but we all know he tends to get in over his head."

Zorath pressed a few buttons on the console, activating the communication screen. "Let's see if we can reach him."

After a few moments, the screen flickered to life, revealing Jake on the other end. The image showed him at Titans Tower, his usual confident grin in place. To Zorath, Lyra, Rex, and Zeebo, Jake still looked like his 14-year-old self, despite his current reality on Earth.

"Zorath! Lyra! Rex! Zeebo!" Jake greeted them enthusiastically. "Hey, guys! Good to see you!"

Lyra smiled warmly at him. "There's our guy. You hanging in there, Jake?"

Jake's grin faltered for just a second, but he quickly masked it. "Yeah, I'm good! Just, uh, busy with the Titans. We took down this big villain named Trident. It was kind of a crazy fight, but we managed."

Zeebo did a quick spin in the air. "I knew you'd smash it! You're always in the thick of it."

Rex leaned in, narrowing his eyes at Jake. "You sure you're alright, man? You look a little worn out."

Jake hesitated, glancing off to the side. "I'm fine... I guess it's just... it's been a lot. Sometimes I feel like I'm not taken seriously around here, even though I've been through a lot with the team."

Zorath frowned, his commanding tone softening. "You're part of a team, Jake, but that doesn't mean they understand everything you've been through. If things are rough, you know you can always talk to us. We're still your crew."

Jake nodded, feeling a lump form in his throat. He had to remind himself they didn't know about the changes, about how he wasn't 14 anymore. He couldn't explain it over the call—not yet, at least. They wouldn't understand why he was suddenly a kid again.

Lyra leaned forward, her voice softer than usual. "Just remember, Jake, you're never alone in this. You've got a team up here too. And if you need to get away, there's always a spot for you on this ship."

"Thanks, Lyra. I appreciate it," Jake replied, his smile returning as he pushed down the weight of his secret. "I miss you guys."

"We miss you too, Jake," Zorath said firmly, his eyes meeting Jake's through the screen. "But you're doing good work down there. Don't forget that."

Rex chuckled, flashing Jake a grin. "And remember, if you need to blow off steam, a quick trip into space could do you some good."

Zeebo, never one to miss an opportunity for enthusiasm, added, "Just say the word! We'll come to scoop you up, no problem."

Jake chuckled. "I'll keep that in mind. I might need a break from Earth sooner rather than later."

The conversation continued for a bit longer, filled with laughter and more check-ins, but Jake couldn't shake the weight of what they didn't know. Still, for now, it felt good to talk to his friends, even if he couldn't tell them everything just yet.

As Jake and his friends continued their conversation, a sudden jolt rocked the ship. Alarms blared, and the crew immediately tensed, looking to Zorath for guidance.

"What the—" Rex started, only to be interrupted as the ship was ensnared by a bright green tractor beam. On the monitor, an unfamiliar ship appeared, sleek and intimidating, with the Omnitrix logo emblazoned on its side.

"Is that…" Lyra began, trailing off as she stared in disbelief at the symbol. "Why would an Omnitrix ship be targeting us?"

Before anyone could answer, the ship was pulled into a docking bay, the doors sealing them inside. Zorath quickly attempted to activate the ship's defense systems, but before he could react, their controls went dead.

"We're locked down," Zorath muttered in frustration.

The ship's hatch opened with a hiss, and two figures stepped aboard. The first was a tall alien with periwinkle-blue fur, black markings across his face, and pointed ears. His chest and stomach were white, and he wore a set of blue-and-black Proto-Tech armor, a Proto-Tool resting on his shoulder. He moved with the confidence of a seasoned soldier.

Rex's eyes widened. "That's Rook Blonko!"

Following closely behind Rook was another alien, this one smaller but no less imposing. He had grey fur, three furry tendrils sprouting from his head, and a large bushy tail. His sharp claws and spiked elbows gave him a dangerous look, and his white jumpsuit with black stripes added to his intimidating presence. This was Scout, a well-known tracker and enforcer.

"What's going on?" Zeebo whispered, darting behind Lyra.

Without a word, Rook and Scout stepped forward, each holding a pair of high-tech handcuffs. Rook's voice was calm but commanding. "You are being detained under suspicion of unauthorized possession of Omnitrix technology."

Zorath narrowed his eyes. "Unauthorized? What are you talking about?"

Scout's green eyes glowed as he grinned, his tail flicking behind him. "Doesn't matter if you know or not. Orders are orders."

Rex and Lyra exchanged nervous glances. Zeebo whimpered quietly from the back, while Zorath stood tall, refusing to back down.

"We're not criminals," Zorath stated firmly. "We're allies. Jake's been using the Omnitrix to protect Earth."

"Jake Evans is a known user of the Omnitrix, yes," Rook acknowledged. "However, recent changes in the Omnitrix's activity have caused concern among higher authorities. We've been tasked with investigating."

Jake, still on the communicator, overheard everything. His heart pounded as he realized what was happening. "No! Zorath, this is a misunderstanding! Let me talk to them!"

Rook glanced at the screen, his expression neutral. "You will have a chance to explain. But for now, we must proceed with protocol."

With swift efficiency, Rook and Scout began cuffing Zorath, Lyra, Rex, and Zeebo. Zeebo squirmed but didn't resist, clearly unnerved by the situation. Lyra shot a glare at Rook as he locked the cuffs around her wrists.

"We're not criminals," Lyra repeated coldly.

"You'll have the chance to prove that," Rook replied, unfazed by her hostility.

Scout, meanwhile, was clearly enjoying himself, a smirk playing on his lips as he cuffed Rex. "Don't make this harder than it needs to be, alright?"

As they were escorted toward the alien ship, Jake's voice came through the communicator, frantic. "Wait! This isn't right! Rook, I need to talk to you—there's something you don't know!"

Rook paused briefly but kept moving. "We will talk soon, Jake. For now, remain where you are. We will resolve this." Without waiting for a response, he disconnected the communication, leaving Jake staring at the dark screen.

Jake felt a knot of dread in his stomach. His friends were in trouble, and he had no idea how to stop it. Something bigger was at play here—something he wasn't prepared for.

Back on the alien ship, Zorath and the others were marched down a corridor toward a secure holding area. Zorath glanced at Rex and Lyra. "We'll find a way out of this," he said quietly, his voice full of determination.

"We better," Rex muttered. "I'm not going down for something we didn't do."

Scout chuckled darkly from behind them. "You'll have plenty of time to think about it in the cells."

But Zorath's eyes were already searching the corridor for any sign of an opportunity. This wasn't over—not by a long shot.

At the Teen Titans Tower, things were calm, for once. Beast Boy and Cyborg were engrossed in an intense video game battle, their banter echoing through the common room.

"Dude, no way you're beating me at *Mega Monkeys* again!" Beast Boy shouted, mashing the controller with determination.

"Oh, we'll see about that," Cyborg replied with a grin. "Prepare to get wrecked."

Across the room, Raven sat peacefully on the couch, nose buried deep in a thick book, while Starfire hovered nearby, flipping through a brightly colored Earth magazine. Robin, as usual, was at the computer, furrowing his brow as he sifted through intel on Deathstroke, still obsessively searching for new leads.

Just as Robin was about to call out some new information to the team, a massive crash echoed through the tower, shaking the walls.

"What the—?" Robin snapped his head up, alarmed.

"That sounded like it came from Jake's room," Raven said, already closing her book.

"Big crash means big trouble!" Beast Boy exclaimed, jumping to his feet.

Starfire's eyes widened with concern. "Friend Jake! He could be in danger!"

Without wasting a second, the Titans bolted toward Jake's room, exchanging nervous glances as they raced down the hall. The closer they got, the more they could hear—furniture smashing, claws scraping, and deep, guttural growls that sent shivers down their spines.

They stopped just outside the door, Cyborg hesitating for a moment before reaching for the handle. "Whatever's happening in there, it's not good."

Inside the room, Jake—transformed into his Blitzwolfer form—was a whirlwind of destruction. His claws had torn through the bed, the dresser was shattered, and the walls were scratched and cracked. Everything in the room had been reduced to rubble, his rage spiraling out of control. Blitzwolfer was panting heavily, his eyes glowing red with fury, and his growls were deep, primal, and dangerous.

"He's really tearing the place apart," Cyborg muttered, eyes wide in shock.

Robin held up a hand to stop Cyborg from barging in. "Wait. Let's think this through."

Beast Boy shook his head, his heart aching for his friend. "No, this is different. He's really upset. Lemme try."

Without waiting for permission, Beast Boy cautiously approached the door and pushed it open just enough to see the chaos. His eyes softened when he saw Jake's Blitzwolfer form, snarling in frustration, clearly struggling to hold back his emotions.

"Hey, BB here. I know you're hurting, little bro," Beast Boy said gently, stepping into the room while keeping his tone calm and reassuring. "You gotta breathe, okay?"

Blitzwolfer's glowing red eyes locked onto Beast Boy. For a split second, his growls deepened, but then he hesitated, recognizing the familiar voice of his big brother figure. His claws dug into the floor, trembling with rage and frustration, but he didn't move.

"I know what happened," Beast Boy continued, keeping his voice steady. "It's your friends... from space, right? You're mad 'cause they got arrested. I get it, man. It sucks. But wrecking your room's not gonna get 'em back."

Blitzwolfer's ears twitched, and his growling slowed, but the tension in his body remained. He was on the verge of breaking down completely. His friends—Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo—had been arrested because of him, because of the Omnitrix, and that guilt was eating him alive. He clenched his claws tighter, the urge to lash out still there, but Beast Boy's presence kept him from losing control.

The other Titans cautiously peered in from the doorway, watching the scene unfold.

"We've all been there, Jake," Beast Boy said, stepping closer. "Feeling like it's all your fault. But you don't have to go through this alone. We'll help you figure out how to get them back. Just... you gotta calm down, okay? We can't do anything if you're too angry to think straight."

Blitzwolfer let out a low, agonized growl, and the room fell silent for a tense moment. His huge, hulking form trembled as he fought to control the storm of emotions raging inside him. Then, slowly, his form began to shift. His claws retracted, fur receded, and after a few seconds, Jake stood in the middle of the wreckage—human once more. His face was pale, and his eyes were filled with unshed tears.

"They took them because of me," Jake choked out, his voice breaking. "I should've been there... I should've done something."

Beast Boy immediately moved forward, wrapping an arm around Jake's shoulders in a comforting hug. "Hey, it's not your fault, man. We'll get them back. You're not doing this alone."

Jake nodded weakly, wiping at his eyes. "But what if... what if we can't? I don't know where they are, or who took them."

"That's where we come in," Robin said, stepping forward with confidence. "We'll figure this out. If they've been taken because of the Omnitrix, we can track them down. We just need to know where to start."

Cyborg grinned, already tapping at the keypad on his arm. "I'll scan for any recent galactic arrests that match the description of your friends. Once we know where they're being held, we can make a plan to get them out."

Raven crossed her arms, looking at Jake with her usual calm but kind demeanor. "And once we have the information, you'll be ready to help. But for now, you need to focus."

Jake nodded again, feeling the weight of the Titans' support easing the crushing guilt and anger inside him. "Okay. But we need to be fast. I don't know what they'll do to them..."

"We'll get 'em back," Beast Boy reassured him. "And when we do, they'll know messing with you was the biggest mistake they ever made."

With the Titans surrounding him, ready to fight alongside him, Jake took a deep breath, the anger inside him subsiding. His friends had his back, and together, they were ready to do whatever it took to rescue his space family.

Meanwhile, aboard the Plumbers' ship, the atmosphere was tense. Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo sat quietly in their cells, still trying to process their sudden arrest. The ship hummed softly as it traveled through space, heading toward the Plumbers' main base.

Outside the cells, Rook Blonko, the seasoned Plumber agent, stood alongside Scout, a younger agent-in-training. They were preparing to release the prisoners and escort them to the Plumbers' base for questioning.

"Are you sure about this?" Scout asked nervously, glancing at the controls for the cells. "I mean, these guys were with the kid who has the Omnitrix. What if they're dangerous?"

Rook shook his head, his voice calm and confident. "There's no evidence that these individuals possess any illegal technology or are involved in any criminal activity. They're only under arrest because of their association with the wielder of the Omnitrix, which isn't a valid reason to keep them locked up."

Scout hesitated but eventually nodded. "Okay, if you say so."

Rook approached the control panel and entered the release codes. One by one, the cells opened with a soft hiss, and the doors slid aside. The group inside looked up, eyes filled with a mixture of hope and wariness.

Zorath, a tall figure with blue skin and sharp, angular features, stepped out first. "About time. We've been telling you, we didn't do anything wrong."

Lyar, a slender alien with glowing tattoos along her arms, followed closely behind, her face set in a frown. "You've had us locked up for hours because we know Jake. That's it. What kind of justice is this?"

Rex, the bulkier of the group, crossed his arms, his eyes narrowed. "We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Zeebo, the smallest of the group with wide eyes and antennae, shifted nervously, staying behind the others.

Rook raised a hand. "I apologize for the inconvenience. We've been given clearance to release you, and once we arrive at the base, you'll be free to go."

Zorath glanced at his companions and then back to Rook. "And what about Jake? Does he know what happened?"

Rook hesitated, then shook his head. "He's not aware of your arrest. We were instructed to bring you in quietly, but I'm sure he'll find out soon."

Lyar crossed her arms. "Jake's gonna be furious. You should've just let us go. We weren't causing trouble."

Scout, who had been silent, spoke up, his voice uncertain. "You might not have been causing trouble, but anyone associated with the Omnitrix is a potential threat. We were just following protocol."

Zorath glared at Scout. "Protocol or not, you can't just arrest people because of who they know."

Rook stepped between them, his tone firm. "Enough. You're free to leave once we arrive at the base. Until then, stay calm. We're not your enemies."

Rex grunted in response but didn't argue. The group stood together as Rook and Scout led them out of the holding area, tension still lingering in the air.

As they moved through the ship, Zorath leaned toward Lyar and whispered, "We need to find a way to contact Jake. If we don't tell him what happened, we'll be stuck in this mess for a lot longer."

Lyar nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Jake won't let this slide. We just need to hold out until we can reach him."

With their minds focused on contacting Jake, the group silently followed the Plumbers, hoping that their friend would find a way to help them soon.

The group arrived at the Plumber base, a vast and bustling facility. As the doors slid open, they were greeted by a sight reminiscent of the Plumber Headquarters seen in *Omniverse*. The base was a hub of activity, with various high-tech equipment and bustling personnel moving about.

The interior of the base was sleek and functional, with a blend of advanced technology and utilitarian design. Holographic screens and control panels lined the walls, displaying streams of data and schematics. Plumber agents in their distinctive uniforms walked briskly through the corridors, while other sections of the base were dedicated to engineering, medical, and intelligence operations.

Rook and Scout guided Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo through the main corridor, past rooms filled with sophisticated gadgets and alien artifacts. The atmosphere was one of organized chaos, with agents working tirelessly on various tasks.

As they reached the central command area, Rook stopped and addressed the group. "Welcome to the Plumber base. This is where the bulk of our operations are conducted. Here, we handle everything from galactic law enforcement to research and development."

Lyar looked around, her eyes wide with both awe and concern. "This place is huge. What happens now?"

Rook gestured toward a series of holding rooms. "We'll conduct a preliminary debriefing and review of your case. After that, we'll discuss the next steps. Please follow me."

The group followed Rook into one of the holding rooms, a sterile space with a long table and several chairs. Scout took a seat at the control panel, preparing to record the proceedings. Rook motioned for the group to sit at the table.

"Please make yourselves comfortable. We'll be joining you shortly," Rook said before stepping out of the room to fetch additional personnel.

As they settled into their seats, Zorath exchanged glances with Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo. "We need to figure out a way to contact Jake. He should know what's going on before this gets any worse."

Rex nodded, rubbing his temples in frustration. "Yeah, but how? We're cut off from any direct communication with him."

Zeebo fidgeted nervously, his antennae twitching. "Maybe we can use the base's communications equipment. If we can get access to their systems, we might be able to send a message."

Lyar considered this. "It's worth a try. But we need to be careful. If they catch us trying to bypass their security, things could get even messier."

As they discussed their options, Rook returned with a few other Plumber agents. The agents began setting up equipment and preparing for the debriefing.

Rook looked at the group, his expression serious. "We'll start with a few questions to clarify the situation. Please be honest and provide as much detail as you can. This will help us understand your involvement and resolve any misunderstandings."

Zorath leaned forward, his voice steady. "We understand. But we need to make it clear that we're not criminals. We were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Rook nodded. "Understood. We'll get to the bottom of this. For now, let's proceed with the debriefing."

As the interrogation began, Zorath and his companions did their best to explain their side of the story, hoping to clear their names and reach out to Jake before it was too late.

Meanwhile, back at the Titans Tower, the team was preparing for the mission to track down Jake's friends. Robin, focused as always, was coordinating the launch of the T-Jet. Cyborg ran last-minute diagnostics on the systems, ensuring everything was in perfect working order. Starfire, with her usual energy, helped secure supplies, while Raven meditated in the corner, preparing herself for the mission ahead.

Jake, now fully suited up as his hero persona, Omni-Kid, stood by Beast Boy, who was busy making sure the snacks were packed for the journey.

Robin approached Jake, his expression serious. "Are you sure the Omnitrix can track them? We can't afford to go in blind."

Jake nodded, holding up his Omnitrix as it glowed faintly. "The Omnitrix has a scanning function, and it's keyed into the badge that belongs to the creator of the Omnitrix. I got it when I was on a mission with my friends, back when we first met the Teen Titans."

Robin looked impressed but still cautious. "That badge will help us locate their ship, right?"

"Exactly," Jake replied, adjusting his suit. "The badge acts like a beacon. Once we're in space, I'll use the Omnitrix to enhance the signal and pinpoint their location."

Cyborg chimed in, closing the panel on the T-Jet. "All systems are ready. We just need to launch when you are."

Beast Boy gave Jake a thumbs up, grinning. "Don't worry, dude, we'll find your friends. And we'll make sure those Plumbers know what's what."

Jake smiled, though the weight of the situation still showed in his eyes. "Thanks, BB. I just… I can't believe they got arrested because of me."

Beast Boy patted him on the back. "Hey, it's not your fault. We'll fix this."

As the T-Jet engines powered up, the team took their positions. Jake, now Omni-Kid, sat up front beside Robin and Cyborg. The jet's thrusters roared to life, shaking the tower slightly as they prepared to launch into space.

"Titans, launch!" Robin commanded, and with a burst of energy, the T-Jet shot into the sky, breaking through the atmosphere and heading toward the stars.

Omni-Kid stared out into space, determination on his face. "Hang on, guys. We're coming for you."

As the T-Jet cruised smoothly through space, Jake walked away from the cockpit, letting the autopilot guide the ship while the tracking system worked to pinpoint his friends' location. The low hum of the engines filled the cabin, but Jake barely noticed it as he found himself at one of the large windows, staring out into the vastness of space.

His mind was swirling with thoughts—his friends, wrongfully arrested because of their association with him, and the weight of the Omnitrix pressing heavily on his wrist. He couldn't shake the guilt. It felt like every time something went wrong, it was because of that device.

Jake pressed his hand against the window, his reflection staring back at him, his Omni-Kid suit glowing faintly in the dark. "If only I hadn't brought them into this…" he muttered to himself, his thoughts echoing in his head.

Behind him, Beast Boy, sensing Jake's distress, quietly approached. "Hey, man. You okay?" he asked, leaning against the wall.

Jake sighed, not turning to face him. "Not really, BB. I keep thinking—what if it's all my fault? If they didn't know me, they wouldn't be in this mess."

Beast Boy moved closer, standing beside Jake and gazing out at the stars too. "I get it, Jake. I really do. But you can't blame yourself for everything. Your friends—" He paused, searching for the right words. "They're tough, right? I bet they can handle themselves."

Jake closed his eyes, trying to fight back the emotions welling up inside him. "They got arrested because someone thought they had alien tech, just because of me. And now… who knows what's happening to them."

Beast Boy looked at him, serious for once. "We're going to find them, Jake. That's what we do—we stick together and help each other. You taught me that when you called me 'BB' for the first time."

A small smile flickered across Jake's face at the memory. "Yeah… I guess I did."

Beast Boy gave him a light nudge. "And once we get them out, we'll give those Plumbers a piece of our mind. Titans style."

Jake chuckled softly, finally turning to his friend. "Thanks, BB. I needed that."

"No problem, dude. We're family. And we always have each other's backs."

As the two shared a quiet moment, the tracking system beeped loudly from the cockpit. Robin's voice came over the ship's comms. "Jake, we've got a lock on the signal. It's coming from a Plumber base not far from here."

Jake's expression shifted from doubt to determination. "Let's get them back."

He straightened up, his mind now focused. The Titans were ready. His friends were counting on him, and he wasn't going to let them down.

"Titans, let's move!" Jake called out as he and Beast Boy headed to the cockpit, ready to confront whatever awaited them at the Plumber base.

Meanwhile, back at the Plumber base, Rook and Scout had just finished questioning Jake's friends—Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo. The tension in the room had finally started to ease, but everyone was still on edge after being held for questioning regarding their connection to Jake and the Omnitrix.

As the last of the questions wrapped up, Rook stepped forward, his face calm but serious. "After careful consideration, we've come to a decision. The charges against you have been dropped. It's clear that the incident was based on a misunderstanding, mainly due to your association with Jake and the Omnitrix."

Standing beside him, Scout—a large, imposing alien wolf with glowing eyes and a voice that carried a low growl—spoke up. "But there's something more to discuss." His tail swished behind him as he watched the group closely. "Given what you've been through and the skills you've shown, we have an offer for you."

Lyar, the most impulsive of the group, furrowed her brow. "An offer? What kind of offer?"

Rook folded his arms. "We want to know if you'd like to join the Plumbers. You've been caught up in a lot already, and we believe you have the potential to make a real difference. If you accept, you'll be trained and equipped as part of our organization."

Scout, standing tall, nodded. "This isn't just about protecting yourselves. It's about becoming part of something bigger—keeping the galaxy safe."

Jake's friends exchanged uncertain looks, the weight of the offer sinking in. The Plumbers weren't just any team—they were the galaxy's peacekeepers, and joining them meant a lifetime of responsibility. The decision wasn't one to be taken lightly.

Zorath, always the careful one, spoke first. "That's a huge offer. I'm not sure we're ready for that kind of responsibility. We've been helping Jake, but becoming Plumbers? It's not just about running into danger; it's about committing to a whole new way of life."

Lyar, unable to hold back her excitement, grinned. "Are you kidding? This is awesome! We've already been through so much with Jake—joining the Plumbers would mean we'd get the tools and the training to really help people. It's like everything we've been doing, but with a real purpose."

Rex, always the practical one, chimed in. "I get where you're coming from, Lyar, but this is a big decision. The Plumbers aren't just a group you can leave when things get tough. We'd be signing up for something permanent. But… I can't deny the resources they offer would make a big difference. We could help Jake more effectively—and maybe even protect ourselves better."

Zeebo, who had been quiet throughout the conversation, finally spoke up. His voice was soft, filled with uncertainty. "I don't know, guys. I mean, it sounds amazing, but what if we're not ready? What if we screw up? Being a Plumber is serious business. It's not just about the fights, it's about keeping entire planets safe."

Lyar gave him a reassuring smile. "Come on, Zeebo. We've been through tough situations before, and we've made it out. I get it—this is big, and it's scary. But we're not alone. We've got each other, and if we join, we'll have the Plumbers' backing. We can do this."

Zorath sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's not that simple, Lyar. There's a lot at stake here. I don't want to get in over our heads, especially since we've barely made it through some of our missions with Jake. But at the same time, I get what you're saying. If we join the Plumbers, we'd have a lot more resources to protect ourselves—and to help Jake."

Rex nodded in agreement. "Zorath's right. We can't rush into this. But think about it—every time we've been in danger, it's been because we didn't have the right resources or enough information. The Plumbers could give us that edge. We'd be able to face bigger threats without relying on luck."

Zeebo looked down, still unsure. "I just don't know if I'm ready for that kind of responsibility. What if we can't handle it? What if we make things worse?"

Scout's voice rumbled through the room. "Being part of the Plumbers is about more than just strength. It's about trust and teamwork. If you decide to join, you won't be alone. You'll have each other—and us—to guide you through it."

Rook nodded in agreement. "You don't have to decide right now. But think about it carefully. We're offering you a chance to make a real difference. Take your time, but the galaxy needs people like you."

Before they could respond, a young Plumber ran into the room, looking flustered. "Rook! Scout! We've got incoming—the Titans and Jake are on their way here!"

Rook raised an eyebrow. "Jake?"

The young Plumber nodded. "Yes, and they're coming in fast."

Scout's tail swished as he stood taller. "It seems our discussion isn't over. We'll have to deal with Jake and the Titans before moving forward."

Rook turned back to Jake's friends. "You don't have to make your decision now, but think about it. We'll deal with the Titans and Jake when they arrive. In the meantime, consider the offer carefully."

As Rook and Scout left the room, the group exchanged glances, each of them deep in thought.

Zorath broke the silence first. "We need to decide soon. We can't keep doing this forever."

Lyar grinned, her excitement barely contained. "I'm ready. Let's do this!"

Rex nodded. "I'm in too, but let's think carefully about how we approach it."

Zeebo, still hesitant, finally sighed. "I'm scared, but… I trust you guys. If we're going to do this, I'll follow your lead."

With the decision looming, the group waited for Jake and the Titans to arrive, the weight of their choice hanging heavily in the air.

Rook and Scout sprinted through the hallways of the Plumber base, a squad of heavily armed Plumbers following close behind. The base was on high alert after part of the structure had been rocked by an explosion. Dust and debris filled the air as alarms blared in the background. The Titans had arrived—Jake leading them in his Omni-Kid uniform, a determined and angry expression etched on his face.

As the dust settled, the Titans stood in front of the large opening they had blown into the base, their presence sending a ripple of tension through the Plumbers. Jake stepped forward, fists clenched, his eyes blazing with a mixture of anger and desperation. His friends had been taken, and he wasn't leaving without them.

"Where are my friends?!" Jake yelled, his voice echoing through the damaged corridor. The Omnitrix on his wrist pulsed with green light, casting an ominous glow.

Rook held up a hand, trying to de-escalate the situation. "Jake, wait! We can explain. Your friends are safe—"

But Jake wasn't listening. His anger surged, and his heart pounded. He slammed his hand down on the Omnitrix, its display flickering as it activated. The core of the device glowed bright green as it spun to life. The holographic projection of several alien silhouettes cycled above the dial, and Jake's eyes narrowed as he turned the dial, scrolling through his options.

He paused on the alien he needed, a form of strength and resilience to match the oncoming fight. The Omnitrix beeped in confirmation, and without a second thought, he slammed his hand down on the core.

"Time to smash!" he shouted as a flash of emerald energy engulfed his body.

Jake's form expanded, his muscles bulging as his skin thickened into tough, armored plates. His arms broadened, and his fingers elongated into sharp claws. Yellow exo-plates grew along his back, shoulders, and the backs of his arms. His fur-covered body now stood tall and imposing, his panda-like color scheme masking the raw power underneath. In seconds, Jake had transformed into the hulking, unstoppable alien known as Cannonbolt.

The Plumbers took a cautious step back, recognizing the immense power of the alien standing before them.

Robin nodded, his staff already in hand. "Titans, move in! Let's get Jake's friends back!"

At Robin's command, the Titans surged forward, engaging the Plumbers head-on. The air filled with the chaotic sounds of combat—blasters firing, fists colliding, and bodies hitting the floor.

Beast Boy was the first to charge, morphing into a rhino mid-stride and ramming into a group of Plumbers. They scattered as the massive rhino barreled through, but one of the Plumbers quickly recovered and activated a shock baton. As Beast Boy lunged again, the Plumber jabbed the baton into his side, electricity crackling as it surged through Beast Boy's body. Letting out a pained groan, Beast Boy morphed into a cheetah, breaking free from the shock and speeding behind his attacker. With a swift pounce, Beast Boy shifted into a gorilla and swung a massive fist, sending the Plumber flying across the room.

Starfire, her eyes glowing with green energy, unleashed a torrent of starbolts at a group of Plumbers. They ducked behind cover, but Starfire was too quick, zipping through the air with grace and speed. She landed in the center of the group, spinning and launching two powerful starbolts from her hands, knocking the Plumbers off their feet. She followed it up with a devastating roundhouse kick, her glowing fists ready for more.

Cyborg charged into the fray, his sonic cannon already powered up. "Booyah!" he shouted as he unleashed a blast of sound waves that sent several Plumbers flying. One Plumber, armed with a shield generator, deflected the sonic blast and retaliated with an energy pulse. Cyborg grunted as the energy slammed into him but quickly recovered, throwing a powerful punch that shattered the shield. His cannon charged again, this time firing a concentrated beam that incapacitated the Plumber in front of him.

Raven floated above, her hands glowing with dark energy. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" she chanted, and a wave of shadows snaked across the room, lifting several Plumbers into the air and slamming them into the walls. Their weapons clattered to the floor as Raven's dark magic pinned them in place, her expression calm yet fierce.

Meanwhile, Jake, now Cannonbolt, had eyes only for Rook and Scout.

Rook stood firm, his Proto-Tool morphing into a staff-like weapon. "Jake, we don't want to fight. Your friends are safe—this isn't what you think."

Cannonbolt growled, the deep rumble echoing in the enclosed space. "You expect me to believe that after you locked them up? I'm not leaving without them!"

Before Rook could respond, Cannonbolt curled up into his spherical form, his thick exo-plates clicking into place like a shield. In an instant, he launched himself forward, bouncing off the walls like a giant, destructive pinball. Rook barely managed to dodge the first hit, but Cannonbolt rebounded off the wall and came at him again, this time knocking Rook off his feet.

Robin dashed forward, his staff twirling in his hands as he charged Rook. "You're in our way, Rook!" he shouted, swinging the staff toward Rook's midsection.

Rook blocked the strike with his Proto-Tool, transforming it into a shield just in time. The two engaged in a fast-paced flurry of attacks, Robin's staff spinning and striking from every angle while Rook expertly parried each blow. Robin flipped into the air, coming down with a powerful overhead strike, but Rook shifted his Proto-Tool into a blaster and fired a shot mid-air, forcing Robin to twist and dodge.

"You're fast," Robin grunted as he landed on his feet, spinning his staff to deflect another blaster shot. "But I'm faster."

Robin charged again, this time feinting left before spinning to deliver a sweeping kick. Rook sidestepped, but Robin used the momentum to swing his staff upward, landing a hit on Rook's shoulder. Rook stumbled back but quickly recovered, transforming his Proto-Tool into a blade and charging at Robin with precision strikes.

Robin blocked each strike with his staff, the sound of metal clashing against metal filling the air. "Titans, we need to get Jake's friends out of here!"

Beast Boy, still shifting between forms, morphed into a falcon and swooped down on a group of Plumbers, diving into the fray. As he shifted back into a gorilla, he grabbed two Plumbers by the scruff and tossed them into a nearby wall. He then turned into a tiger, roaring as he pounced on another Plumber, dodging blasts and biting through their equipment with his sharp fangs.

"Starfire, cover me!" Robin shouted as Rook pressed his attack.

Starfire flew above, releasing a barrage of starbolts aimed at the Plumbers surrounding her teammates. With the Titans now surrounded by the Plumbers, she focused on keeping the pressure off Beast Boy and Cyborg. One of the Plumbers fired a shot at her, but she dodged it with ease, her movements swift and precise as she launched more starbolts in retaliation.

Back in the middle of the fight, Cannonbolt uncurled and stood tall, his broad shoulders rising and falling with each breath. "Enough!" he bellowed, his voice deep and resonating with fury. He turned to Rook and Scout, his eyes glowing with determination. "I'm getting my friends, whether you like it or not."

Scout, the wolf-like alien, stepped forward, growling in return. His claws gleamed as he prepared for a fight. "You won't have to fight us forever, Jake. We can help you—but not like this."

Rook, still standing after his bout with Robin, lowered his Proto-Tool. "Jake, stop this. Your friends are safe. They've been released, but you need to stop fighting."

The tension hung in the air as Jake, still in his Cannonbolt form, took a deep breath. The fury and frustration still churned within him, but there was a flicker of reason in Rook's words. He glanced at his teammates, who were holding their own in the fight, but the longer they fought, the more it felt like they were being torn apart.

Jake's muscles tensed, and for a moment, it seemed like he might charge again. But then, with a sigh, he deactivated the Omnitrix, his body shrinking back to its human form. His shoulders sagged with exhaustion, the weight of the moment catching up to him.

"Titans… stand down," Jake said, his voice quieter but firm.

Robin, catching his breath, nodded. "Titans, fall back."

One by one, the Titans stopped fighting, regrouping around Jake. The Plumbers, though cautious, lowered their weapons. The room was silent, save for the crackling of the damaged walls and the distant hum of the Plumber base's systems.

Jake looked at Rook and Scout, his face grim but resolved. "Now tell me—where are my friends?"

Rook, still

catching his breath, glanced at Scout before nodding. "We'll take you to them."

Rook and Scout led Jake through the cold, sterile hallways of the Plumber base. Jake's heart was still racing from the battle earlier, and his mind churned with anger. His friends—Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo—had been taken by the Plumbers for allegedly possessing alien tech. They were guilty by association with him, the wielder of the Omnitrix. Even though he hadn't seen them for a while since joining the Titans, the thought of them being arrested for something they didn't do ate at him.

As they approached the holding cells, Rook stopped in front of a large metallic door. Scout, silent but watchful, stood beside Jake as if sensing the emotions boiling inside him. The weight of the situation pressed down on Jake's shoulders. He had no idea how his friends were doing, how they would react to seeing him again, or how much had changed since they last met. But right now, all that mattered was getting them out.

Rook glanced at Jake, waiting for him to make the next move. But Jake wasn't ready—not emotionally, at least. He was still furious. How could the Plumbers take his friends just because they knew him? They hadn't done anything wrong.

For a moment, Jake stood there, staring at the door. His fists clenched, and his body tensed up. The anger that had been simmering in him since the moment he heard about their capture flared up again. This wasn't fair. It wasn't right.

Scout finally broke the silence. "They've been waiting for you, Jake. They're not mad at you."

But Jake wasn't so sure about that. With a grunt of frustration, he slammed his fist against the wall next to the door. "This never should've happened. They didn't deserve this."

Rook nodded. "I know. But you have the power to change that now. They need you."

Jake's anger still lingered, but he forced himself to focus. He could deal with his feelings later—his friends came first. Without another word, he tapped the panel, and the door slid open with a mechanical hiss.

Inside, Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo stood huddled together in the corner of the small room. The second the door opened, their eyes snapped toward it. Their faces went from cautious to confused as they saw Jake standing there—smaller, younger, but still unmistakably him.

For a brief second, the air was thick with silence. None of them moved, and Jake felt a twinge of awkwardness mixed with the frustration still gnawing at him. His heart pounded. He wanted to yell, to demand why they hadn't fought back, why they had let the Plumbers arrest them—but he held it in.

Zorath was the first to step forward. The tall, broad-shouldered alien glanced down at Jake, his brow furrowed. "Jake? Is that really you?"

Jake nodded, his fists still clenched. "Yeah, it's me."

Lyar stepped forward next, her sharp eyes scanning Jake's younger frame. "You're... smaller."

Rex, always the joker, raised an eyebrow. "What happened, man? You shrink or something?"

Zeebo, the curious one, tilted his head. "This has to be some kind of tech malfunction, right? You're supposed to be 14."

Jake couldn't take it anymore. His emotions surged to the surface as he stepped closer to them, his voice rising in anger. "I don't care about any of that right now! Do you guys know why you're even in here? Because the Plumbers thought you were working with me! Just because I've got the Omnitrix, they assumed you had alien tech too. They locked you up for no reason!"

His friends fell silent. The gravity of the situation hit them harder now, and the confusion on their faces turned into understanding.

Zorath sighed, his voice low. "We didn't know. We just... thought it was a mistake."

Jake's frustration boiled over. "A mistake? You were arrested because of me! And you didn't even try to fight back!"

Lyar, always the rational one, stepped forward. "Jake, we didn't want to make things worse. We thought it'd be best to wait until we could figure out what was going on."

Rex tried to offer a small smile, though it didn't reach his eyes. "We knew you'd come for us eventually, man. We trust you."

Jake shook his head, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I've been with the Titans, trying to figure out how to get you out of here. But it's not fair. You guys didn't deserve any of this."

Zeebo, the ever-curious one, finally spoke. "We're just glad you're okay, Jake. You're smaller, but you're still you."

Jake looked at them, his anger fading into exhaustion. "I just... I'm sorry. I should've been there for you."

Zorath stepped closer, placing a large hand on Jake's shoulder. "You're here now. That's what matters."

Jake sighed, feeling the tension in his body ease just a little. "Yeah. I guess you're right."

Lyar smiled softly. "We'll figure this out together."

Jake nodded, his resolve returning. "Yeah. Let's get out of here."

With that, Jake led his friends out of the holding room, determined to make things right and figure out the next step. He still had a lot to process, but he knew he wasn't alone anymore. Together, they could face whatever came next.

As the group stood in silence, Rook turned to Jake and his friends, his voice steady but curious. "Before we continue, I need to ask—do you still want to join the Plumbers?"

Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo exchanged uncertain glances, clearly hesitant to speak after everything that had happened. But before any of them could say a word, Jake stepped forward, his expression determined.

"I think it's a good idea," Jake said, his voice firm but calm. The others looked at him in surprise, not expecting him to speak up so quickly. "Yeah, the Plumbers might have messed up this time, but no one's perfect. Joining them could be a chance for you guys to learn and grow."

Lyar raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "You really think we should trust them after all this, Jake?"

Jake nodded, his gaze steady. "I do. Look, I didn't want to join the Titans at first either. I didn't think I belonged, and I wasn't sure if it was the right move. But you guys pushed me, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. It helped me become a better hero—and a better person. I think the Plumbers could be that for you."

Rex crossed his arms, smirking. "So, what, you're saying we should just jump in and hope it works out?"

Jake smiled faintly. "I'm saying you guys deserve a chance to be part of something bigger. The Plumbers have the resources, the knowledge, and the network to help you grow. You've already proven you can handle yourselves. This would just give you more opportunities."

Zeebo, always the quiet one, nodded slowly. "He's right. Maybe joining the Plumbers could help us protect others better. It's not just about us anymore."

Zorath seemed to mull it over, then sighed, looking at Rook. "If Jake believes in this, then maybe we should give it a shot. We've been out there on our own for a long time. This could be a way to take things to the next level."

Lyar still looked unsure but finally nodded in agreement. "Fine. But if they mess up again, we're out."

Rook gave a small smile, clearly relieved. "I understand your concerns. The Plumbers will do everything we can to earn your trust—and your skills will be invaluable to our cause."

Scout, standing beside Rook, gave a low growl of approval. "You'll make a good fit with us," he said in his gruff voice. "Welcome aboard."

Jake smiled, feeling the tension ease. His friends were strong and capable, and now, with the Plumbers behind them, they could finally start to make a real difference.

As Jake started to walk back towards the Titans, Rook stepped forward and gently grabbed his shoulder, stopping him.

"Jake, wait," Rook said in his calm, composed voice. "There's something I wanted to talk to you about."

Jake turned around, confused but curious. "What's up?"

Rook gave a small, thoughtful smile. "You know, you remind me of someone I used to work with—a lot, actually."

"Who? Another Plumber?" Jake asked, raising an eyebrow.

Rook nodded. "Yes. Ben Tennyson. He was my old partner for many years. Just like you, he had the Omnitrix, and let's just say, he didn't always follow the rules."

Jake chuckled slightly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I've heard stories about him. He sounds like a bit of a troublemaker."

Rook's smile widened as he continued. "He was... headstrong, always quick to jump into situations without thinking them through. He often made decisions on instinct rather than careful consideration. But no matter how reckless or unconventional his methods were, in the end, he always found a way to do the right thing. Just like you."

Jake blinked in surprise, caught off guard by the comparison. "You think I'm like Ben?"

Rook nodded seriously. "In more ways than you might realize. The way you fought for your friends, standing up for them even when you were upset—Ben would have done the same. You both have this... ability to inspire the people around you. Even when things seem chaotic, you find a way to bring people together."

Jake looked down, his expression softening. "I don't know if I'm that great. I'm just trying to do what feels right."

"And that's what makes you a true leader," Rook said firmly. "Like Ben, you don't do things because they're easy. You do them because you care deeply about the people around you. The Omnitrix chose you for a reason, Jake."

Jake stood there, processing Rook's words. It was strange to think of himself in the same light as someone like Ben Tennyson, a legend among the Plumbers. But hearing it from Rook, someone who had been there firsthand, made him feel... proud, even if he didn't fully believe it yet.

"Thanks, Rook," Jake said after a moment, giving him a small smile. "That means a lot."

Rook placed a hand on Jake's shoulder once more. "You're on the right path, Jake. Just don't forget that you have a team here with you—whether it's your friends or the Titans. You don't have to do everything alone."

Jake nodded, the weight of the conversation sinking in. "I won't. I'll keep that in mind."

With that, Rook stepped back, letting Jake continue his walk back to the Titans. As he walked away, Jake couldn't help but feel a little more confident. He had people who believed in him, people who trusted him to make the right choices—even when things got tough.

And he wasn't alone. Not anymore.

Jake stepped onto the T-Jet with the Titans, the hum of the engines already filling the air. He took one last glance out the window at his friends, Zorath, Lyar, Rex, and Zeebo, standing outside the Plumber base. They waved back at him, their expressions a mix of determination and hope.

Jake smiled faintly, raising his hand to wave back. He knew this wasn't goodbye—it was more of a "see you later." They were in good hands with the Plumbers now, just like he had been when he first joined the Titans. It felt strange to leave them behind, but he trusted they would grow into the roles they were stepping into, just as he had grown into his own as Omni-Kid.

Robin's voice brought him out of his thoughts. "Jake, everything okay?"

Jake turned to face Robin, who was seated at the pilot controls, Cyborg beside him in the co-pilot seat. Beast Boy was already fiddling with the systems, flipping between his usual playful mode and serious as he prepared for takeoff.

"Yeah," Jake said, sitting down and buckling his seatbelt. "They'll be alright with the Plumbers. We'll see them again when the time's right."

Starfire smiled warmly at Jake from across the cabin. "They have found a new purpose, just as you did with us, friend Jake."

Jake nodded, feeling a sense of pride for his friends. "Yeah... just like when I joined the Titans. I know they'll be fine."

As the T-Jet started to lift off, Jake couldn't help but glance back at the Plumber base one more time. His friends had helped him grow in ways he hadn't expected, pushing him to take on new challenges and responsibilities. Now, they would be the ones facing their own.

Cyborg tapped a few buttons, engaging the T-Jet's autopilot. "Well, if they're anything like you, Jake, they'll be kickin' butt in no time. I mean, they've got your stubbornness and your heart. What could go wrong?"

Jake chuckled, leaning back in his seat. "Yeah, they'll be okay."

As the T-Jet ascended into the sky, Robin glanced back at the team. "We'll need everyone at their best once we land. If we're going to find a way to clear your friends' names and deal with any threats, we'll need all hands on deck."

Raven looked up from her book. "They'll need time to adjust, but joining the Plumbers is the right path for them. They'll be able to learn things we couldn't teach them."

Jake smiled at the thought. His friends were in good hands, and like the Titans had done for him, the Plumbers would help them become stronger.

Beast Boy, who had been unusually quiet, finally piped up with a grin. "You know, Jake, it's kind of cool. You've got two teams now! The Titans and your own little space squad. When the world's in trouble…"

Jake finished the sentence with a smirk. "You know who to call."

The whole team exchanged smiles as the T-Jet rocketed higher into the sky, leaving the Plumber base behind. They weren't just heading toward their next mission. They were moving forward, with the knowledge that they had grown, and that Jake's friends would grow too.

As the stars became visible through the window, Jake's mind wandered, but for once, he wasn't worried. His friends had a future, and they were ready for it. Just like he had been when he first joined the Titans.

Now, it was their turn.
