Hey, y'all,

For six months, we've been bombarded by a barrage of AI bots and scammers. All they do is copy and paste the same glowing reviews, then end their review by asking you for a commission.

Last week, they changed their tactics.

They still write glowing reviews, and they still copy and paste their words—but they don't make you an offer right way. Instead, they wait for you to PM them back so they can spring their offer on you.

Don't accept it.

First, they wouldn't do you any favors. You wouldn't earn a dime from them, and you would only lose money.

Second, you have no reason to believe them. No matter how nice the reviewer may be, they may have no interest in your work whatsoever. A dedicated artist would labor over a piece of art that does your story justice, but anyone can type a command into an AI program and create a masterpiece.

Liars and scammers are not just trying to make a buck. They're trying to earn your trust. Trust is the only way anyone will take them seriously, but after six months of trying to seduce us with their fraudulent reviews, they've learned that no one takes them seriously. Which is why they've stopped advertising their services and started masquerading as fans of our work.

If a review sounds questionable, it probably is.

If you're encouraged by someone's feedback and you think it's sincere, just take it with a grain of salt—which you should do with sincere reviews, anyway.

Bottom line: Reject these liars and scammers, and block them when they make you an offer. If you can, make your own art and render these people useless.

Cheers,
John
