Extreme Volleyball Match of Determination!

"Why do we have to play it three-on-three? We have enough people to make up a real game." Azuki complained a little, seeing how the numbers of each team is half than a real volleyball team.

"Well yeah, Maken-Ki does. But they don't. From what I can tell, Venus only has five people." Haruko pointed out the number of one down for the other team.

"You know, you're more than welcome to use six if you're not feeling terribly confident." Yan decided to give them a handicap with a smug on her face.

"Yan, stop making things worse." Syria said, really not liking her attitude with this right now.

"Syria, you're aware that ultimately, we resolve everything through power, and I mean everything. Even them. Even this stupid game." Demitra reminded her teammate of how things are done within this group.

"(But even so, Raiden is the one man we must be on guard at all times.)" Demitra thought looked directly at Raiden, knowing that he could make things really difficult for them.

"Go, team! You can do it!" Inaho cheered.

"Ma-Ken-Ki! Yay! Go, Ma-Ken-Ki!" Inaho cheered some more, revealed to be wearing a cheerleading uniform and cheering with pompoms. And she's not the only one because there are Himegami, Kimi, and Chacha, all being cheerleaders for this game.

"I like their style." Takeru smiled at the beautiful sight of cheerleaders.

"Come on, Himegami. Show 'em who's boss!" Kengo cheered for Himegami, which is the wrong person to cheer for right now.

"Why are you cheering for the cheerleaders, you idiot?" Uruchi pointed out they have to be cheering for the actual players on the field and not be perverts right now.

"She has a point." Takeru agreed with her on that.

"Quick question, aren't there supposed to be at least one more of you girls? Just a thought." Raiden asked.

"That is correct, there are six of us, but the last remember had to delay because of something personal that she couldn't ignore and will arrive in this school in a few days." Demitra answered.

"Not like knowing about it is gonna change anything." Yan smirked.

"Just wanted to know. We can get started now." Raiden said.

"Let the battle begin! Maken-Ki will be serving first." Aki announced.

"You may think we're weak, but I've got a surprise." Azuki smirked and then tosses the ball into the air. "Get a load of this!"

"Careful, Azuki. They're not weak either!" Raiden warned.

"(You are certainly right about that.)" Demitra thought glared at the ball that was smacked by Azuki with all her strength.

"You will not overpower us!" Demitra smacked the ball away with one arm shocking everyone of Maken-Ki.

Yan jumps high into the air with a front ready to smack the ball back with her hand powered with element to transfer into the ball, she glares at Raiden thinking about back how he humiliated her with her uniform sleeve and that tiny scratch trying to show which one of them is superior.

"You ass…" Yan gritted her teeth.

"You're dead!" Yan smacked the element enhanced ball right for Raiden.

"(Figured she would come at me like that. I'm ready for it.)" Raiden thought channeled his element power into both of his hands.

When the ball made contact with his hands, while Yan is smirking in her own belief that she is going to knock him down, Raiden stood his ground taking in the force of the volleyball even if it was a little bit of a struggle, but he managed to bounce the ball into the air.

"What the…?!" Yan was shocked to see that he withstood that.

"Did you guys see that? When that girl hit the ball, she transferred some element into it, but Raiden repel that with his own element into his hands." Uruchi explained to the guys who were surprised to hear that.

"Oh yeah, nice work, Raiden!" Azuki jumped to smack the ball again.

This little distraction on Yan from having seen Raiden withstood her attack causes the ball to fall next to her without even realizing until it was too late.

"Look at that, first point is ours. That means we'll be the ones winning the whole thing." Raiden chuckled, racking his neck.

"Shut the fuck up! It's only the first point! We can take one from you!" Yan yelled in rage.

"Yan, you need to stay focus no matter what." Demitra said.

"I know, I know, that motherfucker is going to pay for making me angry!" Yan glared at Raiden who got ready for the next round.

"I have to admit, I never thought we would meet someone who could put up a great fight. Against Yan's power. This volleyball match is going to be awesome!" Syria smiled.

"Bitch! Don't be all cheerful to the enemies, we have to destroy them and show them why we're the stronger ones here!" Yan yelled at her friend/teammate.

"Nice work on that counter, Raiden. Make sure to keep that up." Azuki smiled.

"No problem." Raiden said with a thumbs up.

"Haruko, I know you didn't want something like this to happen, but you're gonna have to get serious too." Raiden advised Haruko.

"You got it. I understand fully on what I must do for Maken-Ki." Haruko nodded, smacked her cheeks and got ready for the volleyball battle.

"Even the strongest girl in Tenbi is getting into it." Himegami noticed the change in attitude of Haruko.

"How fun, this match might actually be interesting after all." Himegami commented, thinking this match is going to be something worth remembering.

"Raiden is so cool to counter like that! Go, Raiden!" Kimi cheered.

"Go, Raiden! You're the lightning who will strike us victory!" Inaho and Kimi cheered while Himegami just nods with a smirk.

"Hey, cute boy. You watching?" Syira looked at Takeru with a smile for him.

"(I think that girl might actually have a crush on Takeru. That's a first.)" Raiden thought noticed the way Syria looked at Takeru for a second there.

"Service!" Syria smacked the ball away.

Haruko saw the ball coming and ready herself to bounce it back with her arms as she got serious about not letting herself be knocked down, then Raiden reacts to the ball being in the air for just a moment to smack it back down while Yan tries to stop that at the same time they jumped.

Raiden and Yan glared at each other for what felt like minutes even though it was only a second or two, then Raiden reach the ball faster to smack the ball down getting Maken-Ki a second point.

"What's wrong? That's the second point we got over you, maybe you're not all that." Raiden chuckled.

"Whoa! Way to smack it down on them!" Azuki cheered and high-five with Raiden.

"Just who the fuck is this guy?" Yan asked, trying to figure out what kind of man Raiden is.

"It would seem he is indeed far stronger than I theorized, perhaps even stronger than us together." Demitra was concerned if they were wrong to pick a fight with Maken-Ki.

"Wow, if you're admitting of someone being stronger than you then it must be true!" Syria was shocked to hear that from Demitra of all people.

"Don't fuck with me! We are going to win this and show that bastard what kind of bitches we really are!" Yan refused to admit defeat to this pirate wannabe.

And so, the volleyball game continues with Maken-Ki doing very well against Venus who have shown some more strength in their attacks as they try to get a point ahead of them in this match, but it would appear that Raiden is the key to keeping his team two points ahead of them.

"Fuck yeah! Look at that!" Azuki looked over to the score board.

"We're only two more points away while Venus only has eleven points. Not really looking good for them, the bitches!" Azuki smirked at the angry Yan and Demitra with her face looking more serious than before.

"Alright, go team! Show them what we're made of and don't hold anything back! Win this thing and taste victory!" Himegami cheered, jabbing the pompoms.

"Go, go, Maken-Ki! Go, go, Tenbi!" The Maken-Ki cheerleader squad chanted for the team to win.

"Go, Haruko! You can do it, I just know you can!" Uruchi cheered for Haruko.

"Alright, Himegami! I'll follow you forever!" Kengo cheered, doing it wrong again.

"(Wow, Raiden and the girls are really doing great out there. With Maken-Ki being in the lead, I was worried about the wager.)" Takeru thought was relieved.

"(It looks like President Takai won't have to worry about a thing.)" Raiden thought smiled, recalling the moment when Furan made that bet with Venus.

(Flashback)

"If you lose, Venus will have to join Maken-Ki. But if Maken-Ki loses, we'll shut down the club until you leave." Furan decided the wager for the Venus girls to agree on.

"Sounds good to me. As long as we're here, you kids can take an extended vacation anyway." Yan accepted the term.

(Flashback End)

"This seems a bit extreme. I mean I know we're winning, but I'm a bit worried on how this is gonna affect Venus like hating us." Furan was concerned about that.

"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll make those girls like being part of Maken-Ki in no time." Yuuka believed.

"It certainly looks this game is unexpected and exciting at the same time." Akaya commented, showing up in the gym much to Furan's shock and delight.

"I mean, can't you tell? Everyone person out there just looks so alive." Akaya complimented how exciting this game is to his eyes.

"Yeah, it's true. They really do." Furan smiled, blushing. Yuuka giggles that Furan is having a moment with her crush.

"They're starting to enjoy what it feels like to be around people who share the same power. And being able to go head-to-head with them at the same time. Much less facing people who might be stronger than them." Akaya looked over to Raiden, seeing that he is giving these girls a new experience.

"This is something Venus has never experienced. But it's something they've desperately needed." Akaya explained about how the Venus girls have never met anyone like them with powers and giving them a real challenge in life.

Akaya look at Raiden again with that powerful look in his eyes, feeling exactly like how Sam used to have back when they were students together in Tenbi Academy and having his sense of justice to carry out to protect the weak and even willing to cross the line if that is what it means to protect them.

"(Yeah, I can definitely see the same eyes you had, Sam. Your sense of justice has been passed down to someone with a stronger soul, knowing what needs to be done, and embracing the power from within himself.)" Akaya thought smiled.

Akaya can remember the days when he and Sam were great friends to each other and would even work together in Maken-Ki when they were part of that club, the days until they parted ways after graduation.

"Damn it! You really are stronger than I gave you credit for, but don't think for a second that this is the end!" Yan smacked the ball with her element so hard that it rocketed toward the ceiling.

The impact of the element enhanced ball causes part of the ceiling to collapse and almost fall on Azuki, but Raiden was able to save her by slicing up the debris with his sword.

"(So, that's his Maken. A powerful sword.)" Demitra thought narrowed her eyes at Raiden's sword, sensing that it's very powerful.

"Looks like they've decided to take this up a notch now that we're so close to the end." Raiden said.

"You bitch!" Azuki growled, glaring at Yan. She couldn't believe the crazy stunt she just pulled, now this is becoming personal.

"Fine, is that how we're playing now?!" Azuki asked angrily.

"What? I couldn't help myself." Yan said.

"If you want us to be serious then you're gonna get it." Raiden glared at the Venus girl.

"Looks like the volleyball game is about to turn into something more serious." Furan commented, feeling the air around them becoming more intense.

"Hmm, this could be bad if things get too serious and someone might die." Yuuka said, in her usual carefree attitude.

"Couldn't you be a little more serious?" Furan asked.

"I'm sorry, it just how I am." Yuuka smiled.

"Alright, Syria, it's time to focus. Finish them off." Demitra ordered.

"Sure, okay." Syria said, feeling a little nervous.

"I'm not, like, super into overkill. But still though, I hate losing and I'm not going to let that happen to my team!" Syria started to get really serious, more so than during the whole game.

"Sorry, guys!" Syria smacked the ball sending it flying, but something strange is happening to the ball.

"What the… The ball is going slow like in slow motion!" Raiden was surprised to see this. Maybe this could be Syria's own power, never thought of seeing a slow-motion power like that.

The ball float right over the net and stop once it was at the other side then the glowing stop causing the ball to fall for the floor, Haruko saw this and quickly dived over to bounce the ball back into the air at just the last second.

"Good job, Haruko! They almost caught us off guard, but it wasn't enough!" Raiden believed it's their turn to go to the extreme.

"Raiden! Use your lightning to set me up!" Azuki suggested, bringing out her Maken for the extra boost in power into her legs.

"You got it!" Raiden unleashed his lightning and transfer it into the volleyball, passing it into the air.

Azuki screams and musters every strength into her legs with all her might to kick the ball right at Yan who intends on catching it.

"You fools! I will show you my true power for I am lightning too!" Yan unleashed her own lightning power.

"(No way, she also has the same element power as me?)" Raiden thought was shocked to see this.

Yan catches the ball with her hands trying to push it back into the air for Syria to smack it down, but she was unable to because of how powerful the lightning ball really is as its pushing her back a few feet causing her body to struggle to keep herself grounded in one spot only it end very shortly as Yan is pushed back even further and faster until she crashes right into a wall.

"No way…" Syria was shocked to see that Yan's lightning was overpowered by another.

"Shocking." Aililu commented.

"It's like the guy is the true being of lightning." Lilu commented.

Yan groans in pain with how strong that attack was, she couldn't believe there was someone else who does lightning and even has more powers than her.

"Damn you, motherfucker!" Yan glared.

"What's wrong? You can dish it out, but you can't take it, huh?" Azuki smirked.

"This does not look good, man." Kengo worried they might take things too far.

"On the plus side, we're not going to have to sit through another boring volleyball match." Uruchi said. She's never been into the sport anyway.

"Are you going to tell me what these girls are really doing here? Or do I have to figure it out myself?" Aki asked Akaya, wanting to know what is going on.

"All in good time, we can talk about it more later. But for now, why don't we see how the game goes? It's finally getting good." Akaya smiled, wanting to see this to the very end.

"She looks mad." Aililu noticed how Demitra looks despite her expression being usually calm look.

"Yeah, she does." Lilu agreed, noticing this too.

"(It would seem Raiden is indeed someone more powerful than I gave him credit for, and I have a feeling that he is still hiding his true power.)" Demitra thought believed there is still more to Raiden than meets the eyes.

Demitra decided it was time for her to truly get serious as her body glows intensely of her element power brightening up the gym a little, but everyone is about to see what she is truly capable of when her element power draws in the water from outside and comes right in swirling around her.

"What the hell?" Azuki was surprised.

"An eye for an eye, right?" Demitra asked.

"Well, in that case… Let's do it." Raiden said before unleashing his lightning element aura, to unleash his full power too.
