Chapter 61: Poseidon-Rays of a Black Sun: The Drums of Subjection
Ryugu Kingdom
A Few Moments Before...
It was Luffy except he was wearing an all-black variation of his outfit and his skin was a deathly green, and most notably,y his right eye was black with an interchanging/expanding ripple of red rings.
He looked around as the royal family looked puzzled.
"What're you doing here? Akkamanbo?," asked Manboshi.
"Where's the rest of your crewmates so-la-ti-do?," asked Ryuboshi.
"They're taking care of things...Anyway, Wimpyhoshi. I need a favor from ya...," said this Luffy.
"What is it? Mr. Luffy?," asked Shirahoshi.
Fukaboshi readied his trident.
"Just callin' those giant Sea Bosses to get revenge on the Humans.," the Luffy replied as Fukaboshi attacked Luffy to the shock of the others. He was speared through the head.
"What're you doing? Akkamanbo?," asked Manboshi.
"This man...no, this monster...is just wearing the form of Luffy!," the blue-haired merman explained.
To Neptune's surprise, Luffy slid out of the skewer as the wound closed up.
"What are you?," asked the king.
"This feeling...it's scary!," Shirahoshi.
"Imushishshishishi. I was so sure you half-evolved fish wouldn't recognize it. Anyway, you don't matter. I get what I want anyway. Even if I have to make you all Meat once I'm done!," he said as he flattened himself and sank into the cracks before Fukaboshi could react.
Before they could register, a massive hand grabbed the Fishman Island dome and lifted it up.
"Imushishishishi!," a monstrous laugh hollered.
Mary Geoise
Bianco heard a rumbling as the ground quaked.
"What the-," he said before a voice rang in his head.
"To win at gambling isn't just chance. It's anticipating what the dealer wants in order to counter them, since they're a player too. It can apply to life and battle- predicting what the enemy will do next," said a voice in Bianco's head.
"Shouldn't be doing the unexpected to throw off their game?" Bianco replied.
"That works too...," said the voice.
"In any case, it doesn't seem like this is the right time to act on this mission.," Bianco said as he summoned his zipper, as he and the others left as the Elders stood around in confusion.
Ryugu Kingdom
Shirahoshi cried as the sphere began to crack.
"Didn't I promise you to see the forest. Summon your fish to do my bidding, or else the trees will have fish fertilizer! Imushishishi!," gloated the giant Luffy.
"What're you talking about?!," she cried.
Megalo dashed at the giant but he released a Conqueror's Haki of the Advanced degree to internally rupture him.
Saddened by the sight, she cried as several Sea Kings and Sea Beasts dashed to surround him.
"Not me! The Red Line! To paint you as a-," he said before being bitten by a large whale- Laboon.
"You're that whale that he-," he said before suddenly the whale began to glow.
"Laboon! This is too reckless...wait, you're glowing!," Crocus exclaimed.
"It can't be. The Poseidon...it's familiar...so that's it's current incarnation! This whale...is the Poseidon of this era!," the Dark Luffy explained.
Laboon is shocked by his new size and form as a massive white whale. Reacting instinctively, he swallowed the orb and phased through the Red Line heading to a particular direction.
"Damn it...out of my grasp!," the Black Luffy cursed as he faded into the darkness.
The Red Line continued to crack...
Mary Geoise
"If we can't get the Giants to accept us under our faith...then we'll use the children as bait to get them to do our bidding!," Umi shouted.

Author Notes: This chapter was very sudden and punctuated surprise reveals and hints of this new Luffy's nature.
I will be holding off with new chapters till Elbaf is done so I can get a better idea of where to take the fanfic- whether to follow course or alter the path.
