Adrien's POV

The girls will arrive sometime later today, and we will meet them tomorrow morning. They will also be given a tour, so I'm not supposed to go anywhere near where they will be. I stay in my room for most of the day. I play piano, read, play games with the guards, and anything else I can do in my room without leaving. Lunch is brought to my room at noon, then it's back to piano.

At some point, I leave my room to head to the garden. The girls should be in the middle of eating dinner, and it's late enough that any stragglers should have gone already, as well.

I sneak through hallways and down stairs until I see the glass door. I quietly open it, and step out. There's a small gazebo surrounded by flowers. There are flowers climbing all over it as well. Though I'm not suposed to, I sit on the floor of the gazebo. I look at the flowers surrounding me, then close my eyes. I take in a deep breath of the sweet smell of roses.

I know that I shouldn't and that I'll get in so much trouble if i get caught, but I start to lay down. Then I notice something through the glass of the door I came form and I stop short. It's a girl.

She starts to open the door, when she sees me and freezes. I stair at her for several minutes as she stairs back. The thought briefly crosses my mind, 'maybe she's a spy sent by my father to watch me', but I quickly dismiss the thought when she opens the door and reveals herself in a blue dress. It's one of the dresses ally of the chosen girls would have been given to wear when they arrived.

She slowly walks over to me, step by step. I don't make any move to stop her, which must give her courage because she continues forward, a bit faster than before. When she gets to the opening of the gazebo, she stops, as if just realizing what she had been doing.

"I am so sorry, Your Highness, please forgive my rudeness." She quickly curtsies deeply, not looking at me, instead head down, which is a feat, considering I am sitting and am much shorter than her at the moment.

I quickly stand and walk over to her. I feel like I have seen her before, but that can't be the case, for I have no memory of her. "Please raise your head," I tell her as I plase my hand on her shoulder. She jumps as I touch her. It might just be the lighting, but it looks as though she i blushing.

"Please sit," I say, gestering to the carved rock benches that I had intentionally igored, for they are more uncomfortable than the ground. She seems to notice this quite quickly, because she grimaces as she sits, but she tries to hide her discomfort with a smile. "I would offer you the floor with me, but I wouldn't want to make you ruin your gown for my sake." I tell her, which she must take as an invitation because she hurriedly sits next to me, loking more at ease.

"I should probably introduce myself," she mumbles, then says more loudly, "I am Marinette Dupain-Cheng." The name from earlier that stuck out. "My parents are bakers," she says happily, but her face quickly falls,"They were, anyway." Her hand clings to something on a chain around her neck.

"Were?" I ask softly.

She nods, "Yes, were. A few years ago, my mother dissapeared and no one has seen her since."

I embrace her, and she hugs me back. I know that I shouldn't, that everything I am doing is against the rules, but I don't care. She is hurting, and I want to comfort her. Though my father would be furious, my mother would understand.

We end up sitting there, side by side, for at least an hour, talking like old friends, before she stands up. "I should probably get back." I don't want her to leave, but I know my guards will be freaking out be now.

"I will walk you back." I say, standing up.

She blushes, "No, you don't have to do that. If someone sees us together, they might misunderstand."

"So what if they do?" I ask, "It's not as if we are doing anything wrong. So why can't they see us together?"

"They would think it's unfair that we know each other and complain," she says, quietly.

I know she is right, so I don't push her any further. "Then we shall meet again tomorrow. Until then, I wish you fairwell." I bow and she turns, walking awayback toward the door. Before she opens the door, she turns back and waves to me with a smile, then steps through, closing the door behind her.

I stand there in the dark quiet for a good five minutes before I finaly start toward the door, as well, thinking about the girl I had just met.

I creep back to my room, and get ready for bed. As I lay down, all I can think about is meeting Marinette again, and I whisper har name as I drift off to a restless sleep.

Author's note: I am so sorry that this has taken me so long to put out. I have had these written, but have been procrastinating typing them out to publish them. I will hopefully have the next few chapters of this out soon, so stay tooned for that. I have been writing another fanfic, so I will hopefully be publishing the first chapters soon. It is about Marinette getting akumatized, so if you have any title suggestions, feel free to share them and I might pick it or take yours and change it a bit, I will also give you credit for the name in the first chapter.

Also, I am sorry that chapter 7 is so short, I was trying to figure out how to make it tie in to chapter 8 nicely. Chapter 8 and 9 will be the different perspectives of Adrien and Marinette for the same scene.
