Wedding Day
Princess Rosalie
I stared at the top of my bed and wondered when they would burst into my room.
I could barely sleep last night after the events that happened, and the tossing and turning didn't help.
I slept for about four hours before the sun's light sneaked inside, making me wake and remember last night's events.
It wasn't very pleasant, yet I meant every word I said; I wouldn't allow him to walk around like a single man while I was home.
As my husband-to-be, he is to respect and be faithful to me as he expects me to be for him.
I didn't like seeing him so close to Princess Daleyza. I let it pass once, but twice? This was uncanny.
The worst part was that I knew she was doing this intentionally, but William didn't notice. When I interrupted them, she gave me a smirk that said everything: she was in control.
It made me feel so weak and angered at the same time that I wanted to kill her at that moment.
However, it wasn't just her it was also William. How dare he do that to me in public? I was already facing family problems, and now I needed these, too.
Sometimes, men are inconsiderate, so I took my nails out and told him yesterday.
If he wants to fight dirty, I will, too, and I could tell he did not like that one bit.
But I'm tired of playing this game. My Father has used me, and at this point, I think William is using me too.
Even though part of me is telling me that he's not, that there is good in him, that he does feel something for me.
Maybe…. Maybe he even loves me. I mean, why else would he go above and beyond for me?
It doesn't make sense, but I know he is a man of duty like me, which can cause issues in our marriage.
I wanted to believe there was something more for us, but seeing that every day is getting harder and harder.
Sometimes, I wish this could all stop. I wish I could be free to see the world and meet someone who loves me for who I am.
Not for my status, but as a young girl who has been through a lot, I must admit I am not the same as I was when I first arrived.
I have changed a lot, and that is thanks to William and his family; I was hoping that we could be friends even if he didn't love me.
But who am I kidding? I could never be friends with him; that would hurt me like hell. Still, it's better than having him as an enemy.
I didn't believe my Father's words because he likes manipulating people. Still, I'm not a fool; I see what is happening.
But then again, I, too, am playing a dangerous game. I have no intentions of getting together with Eleazar.
However, something tells me he is the key to what is behind this, and if being close to him will help, then so be it.
However, I can't help but shake the memory of how William looked at me when I mentioned playing his game and when he pulled me from Eleazar's grip.
They almost seemed identical, and I couldn't help but wonder if he felt jealous. But it seemed impossible since he didn't love me.
I was nothing more than a deal, something for him to have to become King.
I passed from one owner to another and was tired of being pushed around; I needed to stand up for myself.
The only good thing was that William was different from the rest, which is why I fell for him. Yes, I have fallen for the boy who bought me to enhance his possibility of becoming King soon.
What was it? Maybe it was the kindness he showed me when no one else did; his small gifts, like my Lily, meant the world to me.
Maybe it was the fact he was the only one who stood up against my Father and protected me.
It could have been that he wanted to get to know the real me and challenged me to come out because before, I never would have let my true self come out.
He never once tried to change or control me like the rest; he wanted me to embrace down, I knew I shouldn't have fallen in love; I knew this would end badly, yet I let myself.
I still don't know why, but maybe I thought this would be different; he seemed so different.
But I was wrong, and now I am suffering, and from all the pain I have endured, this one was the worst.
I felt tears forming, and before I could do anything, they slid down my cheek within seconds.
Immediately, I stood up and wiped my tears as I headed to the bathroom. I needed a moment to myself before they came in.
Also, this was the last night I would spend here alone because starting tonight, I share a room with my husband.
At first, I was a bit nervous and maybe even scared, but I quickly calmed down after convincing myself I would be okay.
It wasn't a lie. I didn't know William much, but I knew he would never force me to do anything I didn't want to.
Then again, that was before I started a war with him; he could easily change his mind.
However, the thought of that didn't scare me, and it is because deep down, I knew William would never hurt me.
I washed my face in the nearby sink before drawing my bath; Idecided to addminerals, lavender salts, and bubbles.
Today would be a long day, so I should be prepared and relaxed. Or, as the maids would say, 'Be ready for your future husband.'
Once I noticed the bath was ready, I quickly undressed and looked at my reflection in the mirror.
I would be lying if I said those bruises didn't hurt, but they did; not like how I'm feeling, but they still hurt.
They reminded me that William wasn't there to protect me since he was off with another woman.
I knew the moment he saw the bruises, the guilt hit him, but it was too late; the damage was already done.
The good thing was that my wedding dress had long sleeves, sono one would see this.
I quickly entered the bath and began to wash my hair and rub my body; I was done within five minutes.
My hair wasn't a struggle to wash; however, I decided to stay in a couple of minutes to let the bath soak the bruises.
Celeste told me that lavender salts and minerals help the body relax and heal was good since my Father always ensured I was covered in bruises.
After soaking in for enough time, I dried myself before putting on a bathrobe and a towel for my head.
I quickly applied lotion all over my body and cured my bruises before putting my robe back on and looking in the mirror.
For some reason, I couldn't stop looking at myself in the mirror, which was a big surprise because I hated it was a significant improvement. Before, I didn't dare to look at myself.
I would always feel embarrassed and ashamed of my bruises. I thought it was my fault, but now I know it's not mine.
Once ready, I walked out of my bathroom in my slippers and noticed I was still alone.
I was getting ready to head to my vanity totake offmy hair towel and brush my hair when a knock interrupted me.
Before I could say anything, the door opened to reveal many familiar faces looking at me, confused.
"Rosalie, you're up already?" Asked Sofia, confused.
"And you showered already," added Izzie as I nodded.
"Couldn't wait to marry my brother, huh?" Said Liz, smirking as I rolled my eyes.
"Liz!" Exclaimed Sofia as she hit her playfully.
"Ouch!" Said Liz as I smiled.
"This will make our process go by quicker indeed," said Izzie as I looked confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked as she clapped her hands, and three more maids appeared.
One brought a trolley with a dish, while the rest got other makeup products.
"First things first, breakfast," said Izzie as they seated me at my seat and table and brought my breakfast.
It was my favorite: French toast with bacon and orange juice. Once I took the first bite, I was quickly turned.
"You need to get the rest going, so while you eat, one will do your toes, another your manicure, and lastly, your facial," said Izzie as I looked confused.
"But..." I started, but Liz interrupted me by placing another piece of French toast in my mouth.
"Ah, ah, ah, just let yourself get spoiled," said Liz as I looked at Sofia, and she nodded.
"Today is your day, darling. Let us help you. Trust me, they don't understand the word 'no.' I've been there," said Sofia as I nodded and smiled.
I wanted to ask her how she knew, but I should wait. As they prepared me, I ate in peace.I couldn't help but admire Liz and Sofia's dresses; they looked beautiful and elegant.
Liz wore an off-the-shoulder sweetheart mint green dress with see-through round puffs at the bottom of the shoulder straps.
The dress was covered in pretty white roses and blue and pink flowers at the bottom of the skirts and along the lines from the waist down.
She wore matching small white gloves in her hands. Her hair was half up and half down, with long, dangly earrings and flowers on the side of it.
While Sofia wore a beautiful off-the-shoulder purple and gold gown with long purple gloves to match.
Her hair was loose curls, and she wore short, dangling heart earrings to match her golden purple queen crown and amulet.
Once I finished my breakfast, I immediately started with my facial; they placed a cucumber and honey cream with cucumbers on my eyes.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying this. It was pretty relaxing, and it's good for the skin.
Once they removed the cucumbers from my eyes, I couldn't help but stare at my dress. It was beautiful yet simple.
"Are you excited for today?" Asked Liz as I nodded slightly.
"As excited as I'll ever be," I said as she smiled.
"Where are you going on your honeymoon?" She asked as I sighed.
"We… We aren't going anywhere," I said as Liz looked confused and shocked.
"What? What do you mean you guys aren't going anywhere?" She asked as I nodded.
"William and I discussed and decided to take our honeymoon trip in the late spring due to everything that is going on," I said as she looked upset.
"But isn't that unfair? Problems will be problems, so why not enjoy the time?" she said as I sighed.
"True, but you never know, and we both decided it was better to wait until things were calmer," I said as she sighed.
"I think it's a wonderful idea, Liz. It's better to wait than to have something terrible and unexpected happen," said Sofia as I nodded.
For one thing, that is one of our excuses; there area lot ofthingsgoing on, and we don't need any more terrible things to happen.
However, I'm glad we decided to wait because of our current situation. Can you imagine a honeymoon when we are in an argument? It will be so awkward.
"Oh, Mom, just because it happened once doesn't mean it will happen again," said Liz as I smiled at her.
"But it could. It's better to be safe than sorry," I said as Sofia nodded. We continued to talk while they prepared me.
It was time for my makeup once they finished my manicure, pedicure, and facials. I decided to do something simple yet elegant.
I wore red lipstick with a little bit of gold eyeshadow, and I decided to wear my hair half up and half down, with the half up in a mid-high ponytail and loose curls.
"Time for the dress!" Said Liz as I looked at my dress and took a deep breath before stepping into the bathroom to change.
"I think this will require some special help," said Sofia as I looked at her confused.
It was then that she opened the door to my room to reveal a woman who was beautifully dressed. She was wearing a beautiful pink ballgown with long sleeves.
She seemed familiar, but I couldn't tell who she was until I looked into her eyes as she smiled.
"C-celeste?" I asked as she smiled and nodded at me.
"Yes, darling, it's me!" She said as I raced to hug her.
"Oh my! I didn't… I'm sorry I didn't recognize you. You- You look so different," I said as she smiled.
"Yes, the King did a number, didn't he?" She said as I raised my eyebrow, confused.
"My Father brought you here?" I asked as she nodded.
"Come on, let's get you ready," she said, and I nodded, and we headed to the bathroom.
Once we entered, I couldn't help but hug Celeste again; it seemed unreal that she was there.
"I know, darling, I know," she said, and I couldn't help but feel some tears fall as she wiped them with a handkerchief.
"Now, darling, or you'll ruin your makeup, and you look beautiful," she said as I smiled.
"I just… I thought I would never see you again," I said, smiling as she nodded.
"And I can't believe it was my Father who brought you here," I said as she smiled.
"He did, but it was thanks to the persistence of your husband-to-be," she said as my eyes widened.
"W-William was the one who brought you?" I asked as she nodded.
"He told your Father that it wouldn't be right if Iwasn'there since I was the one who raised you," she said as I smiled.
Then I couldn't help but think, how can I not fall or be in love with this man after everything he's been doing?
"I wish you could stay here with me; I really need you here," I said as she smiled.
"I do, too, my darling, but it isn't possible," she said, lookinga bitupset.
"But it doesn't mean I can't help you and be here on your special day," she said as I smiled.
"Come on, let's get you ready," she said as I nodded and helped put on my dress.
It was a beautiful ballgown with an off-the-shoulder neckline, lace appliqués flowers, long sleeves, and a sweep train.
The dress was elegant and simple. I chose this one in particular because it reminded me of a swan, a little dove, like the nickname William gave me.
Once Celeste pulled the zipper up, I put on my lace heels with pearls, and she showed me my golden Dove necklace.
"Are you going to wear this?" she asked. I smiled and nodded as she helped me put it on.
"All that is missing is the veil," I said as she nodded.
"It's outside," she said as I nodded.
She opened the door, and Liz, Sofia, and Izzie looked at me in adoration as I walked out.
"You look so beautiful, darling," said Sofia.
"Stunning Rose," said Liz.
"I love it; it kind of reminds me a bit of yours, Sofia," Said Izzie as Sofia nodded.
"Mom, you went with the swan theme?" Asked Liz as she nodded.
"I did, and I see that Rose did the Doves," she said as I nodded.
"Now, the finishing touches. Do you have something old?" Asked Liz as I nodded.
"My Dove necklace," I said as they nodded.
"Well, I will present you with something borrowed from me," said Liz as she opened a box to reveal beautiful heels.
"Liz," I said as she smiled.
"These are mine, and I'd like you to wear them on this special day," she said as I smiled.
"I shall wear them with honor," I said as she smiled and placed the heels on the floor.
They were beautiful white stiletto heels with laces and small diamonds with matching butterflies.
Once I was done placing them on, Celestecame up tome with two things as I looked at her confused.
"I have brought something new and old as well," she said as she took a slight bow and opened the package to reveal beautiful gold heart diamond earrings.
"Your Mother bought these for you and told me to care for them until your biggest day arrived. It seems the day has finally come," she said as I smiled.
She helped me place them on as I tried to stop my tears with my fingers and breath.
"Before I go, there is one more thing from your Mother," she said as I looked confused. She opened a bag to reveal a beautiful veil.
It was a long, romantic wedding lace cathedral white veil with detailed lace.
"Is that…" I asked as she nodded.
"This is your Mother's veil. I found it and thought it was something you would want to wear today," she said as my tears fell, and I nodded.
She clipped the veil to my low- ponytail and began to adjust it as I cleaned my tears.
"Something, old, new, borrowed, now you need something blue," said Liz as I nodded.
"That's where I come in," said Sofia, as I saw her step in with a medium-sized jewelry box and open it.
"This has been in the Whelsire family for generations," she said as I saw a beautiful, delicate silver and sapphire blue rhinestone crystal tiara.
"And we would like you to wear it as a symbol of welcoming you to our family," she said as I smiled.
"Thank you so much, Sofia. I will wear this with honor," I said, smiling. She then helped me put on the tiara.
"Oh my!" Said Liz as she looked at me with tears.
"You look beautiful," said Izzie as Sofia and Celeste nodded.
"I finally have a sister," said Liz as I smiled and nodded.
"Me too," I said as I hugged her, and she smiled.
"Are you ready?" They asked as I nodded.
"Yes," I said as Celeste took my hands and smiled.
"Don't be afraid to be happy, my darling. We're all here for you," she said as I smiled happily.
"Thank you," I said, smiling. I took a deep breath, and there was a sudden knock at my door.
I looked at them, knowing who it was. I didn't want to see him but knew I couldn't avoid him forever.
"Come in," said Queen Sofia as I grabbed Celeste, and the door opened to reveal my Father.
"My, don't you look amazing, darling," he said, putting on his fake smile as I sighed and forced a smile.
"Thanks, Dad," I said, smiling as he took my hand and kissed it.
"Are you ready?" He asked as I nodded and looked at Sofia.
"I'd say we're all ready to go," said Sofia as I nodded.
"Let's go," said Sofia as I nodded.
They opened the door as Izzie got out first, followed by Sofia, my Dad, me, and Liz. She was holding my veil to ensure I wouldn't trip.
As we walked down the stairs, I noticed many staff members were looking and bowing, and I smiled at them.
These people are my people now; I only knew a few, like Gabby, Izzie, and was quiet, and I barely knew anything about her, but I hope to get to know her soon.
Once we reached the door to the entrance hall, I couldn't help but freeze slightly; I would have wanted things to be different.
But then again, who was I joking about? I am King Ricardo's daughter, also known as a traitor who is not to be trusted but used and abused.
However, that stops today. Today is the day I make my claim and start fighting for myself. I don't know where that might lead me, but hopefully, it will be somewhere good.
I took a deep breath before my Father looked at me and said something unkind, as I wished he would have.
"Remember Rosalie, dear. Do not mess this up; you know whose life is at stake here," he said as I nodded.
I knew very well, but she was with me, and I wouldn't let him do anything to her. Even if I had to convince myselfto leave right now that's what Iwas going todo.
Once the doors opened, I was blinded momentarily by the beautiful sunlight shining through the glass window and the decorations.
I took a deep breath before the music started, and my Father began walking me down the aisle.
As we walked, I saw many familiar yet unfamiliar faces. It wasn't until we almost reached the end of the aisle that I saw more familiar faces.
Until a pair of green eyes met mine, making me stop my breathing momentarily.
'Be strong, show him he is wrong.' I thought as we stoppednext tohim, and my Father offered him my hand.
"Take good care of her son," he said, smirking as William gave him an authentic look with his eyes.
"I will," he said, taking my hand as we stood before the altar with the priest as I smiled at him.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to celebrate the union of Prince William of Whelsire and Princess Rosalie of Amathest," said the priest as I took a deep breath.
"Not only will we be uniting two people with the blessing of our lord, but also the union of two kingdoms," he added as I slightly bit my lip.
'If only they knew it was because of the kingdom union and nothing else.' I thought.
"Please," said the priest as he gestured for Willam and me to turn to look at each other. I couldn't help but feel slightly nervous.
I didn't want to face him. I knew the moment I looked at him, it would be over, and I didn't want that. I didn't want him to know he was my new weakness.
I took a deep breath and looked at him before he took hold of my hand, and we stared at each other.
"If anyone knows why these two should not be married, please speak now of forever hold your peace," he said as I couldn't help but smile.
At this exact moment, I wanted to laugh; I was one of those people, yet I had to keep my mouth shut.
Still, it was pretty funny, so I had to smile to disguise my laughter. Anyone who saw me would think I was a happy bride.
"The rings, please," said the priest as Charlotte arrived with the rings, smiling as the priest blessed them.
"Repeat after me," said the priest as William took a ring and smiled.
"Father, we actually have ourownvows," he said as my eyes widened slightly, and the priest smiled.
"Very well, carry on," he said as I couldn't help but panic.
'Shit! Shit! What does he mean we have ourownvows? We never agreed to anything.' I thought nervously.
"I, Prince William, take you, Princess Rosalie, as my lawful wedded wife to have and hold in sickness and health. It may be weeks or years, wemay never know, but no matter what, I will always be here for you. No anger in the world will ever make me doubt or ignore you. You are my companion, my friend, and I will place you above all for as long as we both shall live," he said, smiling as he slipped a ring into my finger.
As I took the ring, I saw many women using handkerchiefs to wipe away their tears.
"I, Princess Rosalie, take you, Prince William, as my lawful wedded husband to have and to hold. In sickness and health, for richer or poorer. You are my new path, my new dream, and I promise and vow to stay by your side no matter what or where you go. I will always be by your side, loving and supporting you, until our final days," I said, taking a ring and slipping it on his finger.
Then, I looked up to see him smirking slightly as I returned the smirk. I would play that game right back if he wanted to play it.
"The wedding vine, please," said the priest as Laylah and Arianna came forward and placed a white-flowered vine upon us as the priest blessed us.
"May god bless this marriage he has brought together," he said as he singled them to take off the vine.
"The coins?" said the priest as Liz stood up and brought the coins. The priest blessed them with water before signaling them to hand them to William, who nodded.
"Take these coins as a symbol of my love and protection; each represents the protection and support I will give you," said William as I closed my hand with the coins.
"I will take these coins as a symbol of your protection but also as a sign that no amount of richness or poorness will make me change my mind about you and our love," I said, smiling as I handed them to Liz to hold.
'This way, at least, he knows I am not marrying him for his money; I don't need it nor want it; it's my Father.' I thought as I took a deep breath.
"Do you, Prince William, take Princess Rosalie as your lawful wedded wife for as long as you both shall live?" Asked the priest.
'Here we go.' I thought as I felt myself getting nervous waiting for his answer.
"I do," said William, and I felt a bit of relief. If I'm being honest, I didn't like that one bit.
"Do you, Princess Rosalie, take Prince William as your lawful wedded husband for as long as you both shall live?" he asked as I looked to the audience from the corner of my eye before looking into William's eyes.
As I looked into his sparkling green eyes, I couldn't help but smile. Those eyes told me he would protect me no matter what.
"I do," I said, smiling.
'Damn it, those eyes will be the death of me.' I thought as the priest smiled.
"Then, by the power invested in me, it is an honor and with great satisfaction to pronounce you husband and wife; may the lord protect this matrimony and its blessings. You may kiss the bride," said the priest.
At that moment, I felt my heart begin to beat uncontrollably fast, and I couldn't help but feel nervous.
Then William dropped his head to meet me and brought his hand up to my chin, lifting meupto meet him as he brushed his lips to mine.
It was a simple feather touch that sent electric shocks to my body, allowing me to respond to his kiss as the people began to clap.
Within a few seconds, we parted the kiss, and he smirked at me and took my hand.
"You're mine now, little Dove," he whispered as I smiled.
"We'll see about that," I whispered back as he raised his eyebrows, and I knew very well what that meant.
'He accepted my challenge, and I would make him fight for it.' I thought as we walked off the altar and headed to the reception.
The ceremony was held at the castle's entrance, where it was easy to lead the guests, while the reception was held in the ballroom.
I didn't mind. It was a big entrance, and it was close to the guests' arrival.
Once we headed to the ballroom and its doors opened, I couldn't help but admire the beautiful decorations.
It was a winter wonderland wedding, with snowflakes, swans, and little doves all around as we watched the snow fall from the glass windows.
The tables were all decorated with white and blue sheets, with red roses on the swan and Dove flower vases as the centerpieces and royal blue ribbons on the chairs.
Snowflakes, Doves, and swan lights hung above the ceiling; I could tell this was the sorcerer's work.
We even had blue diamond Silverware, including plates and wine glasses. I turned around to see many guests entering and admiring how beautiful it looked.
Many of our guests began to take their seats as I quickly looked towards William. His steward Isaac, along with Liz and Celeste, came towards us.
"Here, let me help you really quick," she said as I looked at her and Celeste, confused.
It was then they began to mess with my veil, and I was afraid they were going to take it off; I didn't want it off just yet.
However, they didn't take it off; they adjusted it enough to ensure it wasn't on the floor anymore. It was at the bottom of my skirt but not dragging.
"Thank you," I said to them as they smiled and nodded beforegoing backto their seats.
"Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you Prince William and Princess Rosalie, the heirs of Whelsire, performing their first dance?" he said as my eyes widened, and the people began to clap and cheer.
I turned to face him. He took hold of my hand and placed one hand on my waist while I placed my hand on his shoulder.
If I'm being honest, I didn't want to look at him, but if I didn't, it would have been seen as weird, and that was the last thing I needed.
So, I looked at my husband in the eyes, and as the music began, he led us to the dance floor.
"You look beautiful," he said as I smiled at him.
"Thank you, as do you," I added as he smiled.
"I thought we agreed not to lie to each other, little Dove?" He asked, raising his eyebrow as I slightly rolled my eyes.
"Shall we ask your Mother then?" I asked as he chuckled slightly.
"My mother will agree with you there, no questions asked," he said as I smiled, and we continued to dance.
The music was a soft and graceful piano, violin, and flute tune, which, in my opinion, was perfect. It was simple, just like I wanted it to be.
Occasionally, I would try to avoid eye contact, but it was sometimes impossible, especially since I saw him raise his eyebrow.
"Are you avoiding eye contact with me, little Dove?" he asked, and I looked at him and smiled.
"Of course not. My head moves slightly as you turn me around, causing my eyes to move slightly," I said as he looked confused.
"Avoid eye contact all you want, little Dove. I meant what I said. You're mine and stuck with me until your final breath," he said as I felt my heart skip a beat.
'Damn it, I hate it when my heart does this. Why can't it listen to what I am saying and just be quiet?' I thought as I smiled.
"And I meant what I said, dear husband. No amount of richness or poorness will make me change my mind. I will stay by your side no matter what," I said as he raised his eyebrow.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He asked me as I smiled at him.
"You know what that means," I said, smirking as he pulled me closer.
"Don't play a game you can't finish, little Dove," he said as I leaned closer until our foreheads touched.
"Who says I can't finish it?" I asked as the music ended. I leaned my lips to him, catching him by surprise as our guest clapped.
It was a soft peck on the lips, and as I pulled away, I quickly noticed he was a bit disappointed as I smirked and turned to see my Father walking up.
'Here we go,' I thought as I felt William's eyes behind me, looking at my Father as he reached us.
"I believe it is my turn now," said my Father, smiling. William and I nodded as I noticed him giving my hand to my Father before walking away.
My Father took my hand as the orchestra began playing again, and I tried to give him a smile. I'm only doing this because it's a tradition, and it would look bad if we didn't do the father-daughter dance.
"You don't seem to care to listen to me, do you, darling? All I asked was for you not to fall for him," he said as I raised my eyebrow and smiled.
"Oh, Father. Don't tell me you believed in our charade; we. We must play the part and act as if we are in love in front of everyone, right?" I asked as he smiled.
"Silly child, I see past that charade you put, and I can see there is none. Believe me, this boy will be your downfall," he said as I sighed.
I knew he was going to be my downfall, but part of me didn't care, while another part refused to believe it.
"At least I'm not your problem anymore," I said as I saw his eyes turn an angry shade of annoyance.
I couldn't help but smile at this. I knew that look very well, which he used when he wanted to strike me.
However, we were in front of everyone, and he couldn't; he had to play the role of the loving Father instead.
"You're right. You're his problem, and from what I heard, he doesn't waste any time with people like you," he said with a snarl as I rolled my eyes.
"If you're talking about Princess Daleyza…" I started but he cut me off.
"Of course, I am talking about her. What? Don't tell me he gave you a sad and warming story that you felt for it?" He said as I sighed.
"He didn't, but I don't care. That's his business as long as he doesn't do it in public, I don't care," I said as he chuckled.
"Sure, you don't. But don't worry, darling. I will help you with that. I will remind your husband to be discrete," he said as the song ended, and I smiled.
"Thank you, Father," I said as he hugged me, and we walked back towards where my husband was.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the feast will begin soon. Please be prepared to order as the servers arrive," said Isaac as people began to look at the menus we provided.
Once we arrived at the table for William and me, my Father gave William a friendly smile as William raised his eyebrow.
"A bit of advice, boy. Make sure you are discrete and not in public with your business affairs," said my Father, emphasizing the business part.
"Always am," said William as my Father smiled and looked at me.
"Perfect," he said as he bowed to us before leaving as I sighed and forced a smile.
"What was that?" He asked as I avoided his eye contact and looked at our guest smiling.
"Nothing, darling," I said as I could feel his gaze on me as I noticed a familiar person walking up to us happily as I stood up.
"Oh, my goodness, I finally have a sister," said Liz as we hugged tightly.
"And I'm not going anywhere," I said as we parted. Liz looked at me happily before turning to William.
"Treat her well," she said seriously as William gave her a look.
"Shouldn't it be the other way around?" he asked, standing up, as Liz went to hug him and laughed.
"No, because I know how you are," she said, giving him a look as I looked confused. He nodded, smiling.
"I wanted to be the first to congratulate you guys since after the dinner, you will be filled with many people congratulating you," said Liz as we chuckled.
"This is why we said small wedding," said William as I nodded.
"Too many people tire and drain you quickly," I added as she smiled.
"Your majesties," said the server as he brought us our food.
"Well, I will let you guys enjoy your food and a few moments alone since you will soon be filled with many people and their dates," she said, smirking as I raised my eyebrow.
"What does that mean?" Asked William, confused, raising his eyebrow at Liz.
"Don't tell me you have a date," I said as she looked shocked.
"God, heavens, no! Not me anyway, but our cousins do," she said, gesturing at them as we saw them with dates.
"Enjoy your food," said Liz as she walked away, and we began to eat.
