Wedding day part 2
Princess Rosalie
We decided to include a menu with options for our guests since it was better than choosing one thing to serve, and we didn't want a big buffet.
Our menu included two types of salads and soups as appetizers and steak, salmon, grilled chicken, and shrimp pasta as entrees.
I decided to go with the pasta since I've never tried it, and since I was already experiencing new things, I might as well do them all.
After taking a bite, my eyes widened. I couldn't believe how good this pasta was; it was literally amazing.
"It looks like someone is happy with their food choice," said William. I looked at him and nodded.
"You're missing out, I bet this is better than the salmon," I said as he raised his eyebrow and chuckled.
"No way! This is better," he said. I shook my head, grabbed some with my fork, and offered him some. He took a bite and looked surprised.
"Oh my god, mmm. Who made this?" He said as I smiled and nodded.
"Right," I said as he nodded.
"That is really good," he said as I nodded.
"The salmon isn't that bad, though; it's pretty good, too," he said, offering me some as I took a bite from his fork.
It wasn't bad; it was actually pretty good. It was the best salmon I have tasted in a long time.
"That's not bad; it is delicious. I love the taste of lemon," I said as he smiled.
"I have an idea," he said as I smiled.
"And I know what it is," I added as we slit our meal in half and placed it on each other's plates as we ate our food.
Once we were done eating, the crown began to form, just like Liz said it would. It was time to put on a happy show.
First, it was his cousins, Athena and Charlotte, but they weren't alone. Athena was accompanied by a tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed man, while a blonde man with green eyes accompanied Charlotte.
"Congratulations," said Athena, smiling.
"Thank you," I said as Charlotte hugged me.
"Now, I can finally call you my cousin," said Charlotte, and we giggled.
"And whom might these men be?" Asked William, raising his eyebrow as his cousins laughed.
"This is Prince Theo of Acidalia," said Athena as we smiled and greeted him.
"This is my friend, Prince Julian of Shale," said Charlotte as we smiled and greeted him.
"That's how it starts," I said as William nodded.
"You could say that for one of us," said Charlotte, looking at Athena and Theo. Athena blushed slightly.
Next, it was his twin cousins Alexander and Adrian, but if I'm being honest, I wish they wouldn't since I knew very well, they didn't like me.
"Another beats the dust," said Alexander as Adrian nodded.
"Congratulations, cousin, you too, Rosalie," he said as we smiled.
"Thank you," I said as their dates came forward as I looked confused.
"Allow me to introduce my date," said Alexander as the princess rolled her eyes.
"He wishes it was a date," she said, smirking as my eyes widened.
"I know you, your princess Isabella of Tangu, and you are Princess Daphne of Corinthia," I said as they smiled and bowed.
"The please is ours, Princess Rosalie," said Princess Daphne as Isabella nodded.
"You know them?" Asked Adrian, confused.
"How?" Asked Alexander as I smiled.
"I met Princess Daphne last time during a meeting, and PrincessIsabella is known for her beauty, which she inherited from her Mother, Queen Hildegard of Tangu, the late princess of Freezenberg. It is now ruled by my uncle, King Axel, and Aunt Astrid," I said as the twins looked shocked.
"I like her," said Isabella as Daphne nodded happily, and the twins looked slightly embarrassed.
If I'm being honest, I hope this works out with them since I like the results; they seem to have them under control.
Thirdly, it's his parents. Technically, they're my in-laws now, with their son Edward, Liz again, and GrandDad.
"Congratulations, you two," said Sofia as she hugged me. I returned the hug before she hugged William.
"Do you love how everything turned out?" Sofia asked, concerned, as she pulled away from the hug. I smiled and nodded.
"Yes, It is amazing. I love it," I said as she smiled.
"I'm glad you love it," she said, smiling.
"Welcome to the family, Rosalie," said GrandDad as I smiled.
"Thank you, GrandDad," I said as he smiled.
"We're so happy for you two," said Hugo as William smiled.
"Thanks, Dad," added William.
"Welcome to the family, sister-in-law," said Edward as he hugged me. Sofia, Hugo, and GrandDad couldn't help but chuckle as we looked at them, confused.
"Oh, this takes me back Hugo," said GrandDad as Hugo and Sofia nodded.
"It sure does, Dad," said Sofia as Hugo nodded.
"That is how your uncle Axel welcomed your Mom to the family," said Hugo as we laughed, except William and Edward.
"I'm telling you, son, these two act like your brother, and you do," said GrandDad as Hugo nodded.
"I'm starting to see that, Dad," he said as William and Edward rolled their eyes.
"No, date brother?" Asked William as Edward looked confused and shook his head.
"Nope, I'm good," he said as William raised his eyebrow.
"Are you sure? Because last time I remember…" stared William but was cut off by Edward.
"Oh, look at the time. We must be going; you have plenty of other people to greet," he said as he walked away, and we laughed.
"Congratulations again, darling," said Sofia before they walked away, and the rest of his family greeted us.
Aunt Amber, Uncle Desmond, and their son Edmond—he was the one cousin who actually liked me, and I didn't mind—with their daughter Laylah.
Followed by Uncle James and Aunt Vivian with their daughter
Arianna. Then Uncle Axel and Aunt Astrid with their youngest prince Henry, and GrandDad Roland and GrandMum Miranda.
The rest were friends and allies from the kingdom: the King and queen of Tangu, Mezbez, Corinthia, Alcazar, Khaldoun, Wei—Lin, and Orion.
"Estelle?" I asked as she smiled happily before giving me a hug as she approached with her parents.
"I'm glad you recognized me; I thought you wouldn't," she said as I parted from her hug.
"Congratulations; you seem to have a good one," she said, looking at William, who looked confused.
"You know her, Estelle?" He asked as she nodded.
"You know Estelle?" I asked him as he nodded.
"We went to Royal Prep together; how do you know her?" William said, confused, as I looked at him.
"We met at school, but I don't think it was Royal prep," I said as he looked confused.
"Congratulations, William," said a voice as we turned to see the older prince of Orion.
"Victor, long time no seen," Said William as he nodded.
"Duty calls," he said as William nodded, and we talked briefly with them.
After what seemed like hours, we finally stopped. We greeted most of these people and decided to stop for the moment.
Besides, they started playing music for people to dance to, and many began doing that with their partners.
It was then that I noticed some familiar partners dancing along with some new ones. Edmond was dancing with Princess Mirabella.
Prince Andres was dancing with Princess Arianna, while Prince Carlos was dancing with Princess Laylah.
Henry and Eloise seemed tobe dancinghappily, like Prince Adar and Princess Estelle, PrinceAntonio, and Princess Luciana.
Last but not least, Elizabeth? I cleared my eyes to see if I was looking correctly, and I was she was dancing with Prince Christian.
"Look at your sister," I said as William tried to find her. Once he did, he looked as surprised as I did.
"She looks to be in pain," he said as I couldn't help but laugh slightly.
"Don't be mean," I said as he shrugged and smiled.
"Bet this was Mom's idea," added William as I nodded.
"Possibly," I said as I could see two familiar faces I did not want to see here, Prince Eleazar and Princess Daleyza.
I needed to think of something quick before they approached us; I didn't want them here.
So, I did the only thing I could think of. Itook hold ofWilliam's hand and placed my head on his shoulders.
"Would you like to dance?" he asked me. I looked up at him and smiled, nodding as he led me to the dance floor.
It wasn't the best thing, but I didn't want them near us for the moment. We were in public and needed to hide our appearance.
Once the dance was over, I noticed William was looking towards the side before turning to face me.
"I will be right back," he said as I nodded and watched him leave.
I looked around and noticed someone wasn't here, 'Princess Daleyza.' I thought as I shook my head.
I was going to make my way towards Liz and the cousins when I felt someone hold my hand, making me turn around.
"Princess Rosalie, may I have a dance?" He asked as I sighed and smiled.
'Prince Eleazar, the last person I wanted to see right now.' I thought, looking at him.
"I am sorry, Prince Eleazar, but I am married now, and it will be considered inappropriate due to our past," I said as he smiled.
"Well played princess, I see you're brilliant," he said as I raised my eyebrow.
"Shame that no one realizes it," I said as he smirked.
"But I do, princess, which is why I wanted to invite you to your last dance of the night," he said as I smiled.
"Thank you," I said as he smiled.
"So, where are you off to?" He asked as I raised my eyebrow.
"You don't think, I am going to tell you where my husband and I are going for our honeymoon, now do you?" I asked as he raised his eyebrow.
"And why not?" He asked as I smiled.
"That's a private manner," I said as he smiled.
"Do you want to know where I would have taken you?" He asked, smirking as I raised my eyebrow.
"Not necessarily," I said, raising my head with my eyebrow.
"I would have taken you to my family's private island on a balloon ride," he said, smirking as I crossed my hands.
"It's a Good thing she married me and not you," said a familiar voice as I smiled, knowing who that was.
My dear husband stood beside me, placing his hand on my waist and pulling me closer to him.
"If you'll excuse us," said William as we walked away from him before stopping near our table. He looked at me, angry and possibly jealous.
He was going to say something, but I stopped him by placing my hand on his lips and smiling.
"Not right now, dear husband. You wouldn't want to cause a scene in front of everyone, right?" I asked as he took a deep breath and calmed down.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen. It's time for the very last activity of the event: the tossing of the bouquet," said Isaac as I smiled.
"Help me, dear husband," I said, smiling as he nodded and followed me.
"Alright, all single ladies, please come to the front," they said as all the young princesses walked to the center.
They provided me with a chair to stand on, and William helped me up and held my waist to ensure I didn't fall.
"Ready?" I asked as I heard cheering from behind me.
I did a couple of tricks where I pretended to throw but didn't until the third time; after that, I did throw it.
Once I released it, I turned as William helped me down, and we saw who had caught the bouquet.
"No, do it again!" said a familiar voice as we turned to see Uncle Axel shake his head, upset, as Aunt Astrid tried to calm him down.
Princess Athena had caught the bouquet, and everyone cheered as I looked at Prince Theo, who smiled.
'Wedding for sure.' I thought as I looked at Hugo, laughing at his brother Axel as he looked at him, annoyed.
We thanked the people for coming to our wedding once again as theybegan to departbefore Izzie came to us smiling.
"Everything is all set. We made the arrangement, and you two are ready to go," said Izzie. William nodded, and I looked at her, confused.
"Thank you, Izzie," he said as she smiled.
"Go on and get some rest; we will clean up here," said Izzie. We nodded and thanked her again before making our way upstairs.
"What did she mean by 'we made the arrangement?'" I asked as he didn't saya wordbut took hold of my hand.
I was confused until we stopped outside the familiar door. As my eyes widened, I knew exactly what they meant now.
Izzie was talking about the room, but not just any room. It was the room my husband and I were to share.
He opened the door to his room to reveal a big black Martinique canopy bed with royal blue and white curtains and small dressers on either side of it.
The room was French gray, and royal blue curtains draped the windows, revealing the balcony door.
Next to it was a vanity filled with many of my items and a dresser that I think was filled with my new crowns.
William walked to the left and stood in front of a door in front of the bed. It was then that my heart began to beat rapidly again.
"This is our bathroom, and over here is the closet," he said, walking tothe door on the right and opening it.
"You'll find that your clothes are already here," he said as I walked in to see all my clothes from the previous room.
'They must have done this during the wedding.' I thought as I nodded and walked out of the closet.
We had a small sofa and coffee table in front of the closet door, and a small table with chairs was near the window.
"I think it's amazing, don't you?" I looked up to see him crossing his arms and looking at me, angry again, and there was no doubt it was because of earlier.
"What were you doing talking to him?" He asked as I rolled my eyes and turned around.
"Don't walk away from me, Rosalie," he said as I turned to face him and sat on the bench at the end of the bed.
'I'm not; I'm getting comfortable since I know this is going to be a while," I said, raising my eyebrow as he looked upset.
"I wasn't the one who engaged; he came to talk to me," I said as he raised his eyebrows.
"And you decided to talk to him when I wasn't there?" he asked as I stood up and walked to him, smiling before stopping in front of him.
"I don't know why you are complaining to me when you were the one who left me to go do things with god knows who," I said as he raised his eyebrow.
"Don't you think I wouldn't have noticed? I saw her in the crowd. At least have the decency to see your lover at another time," I said, narrowing my eyes at him.
After saying that, I felt a huge pain in my heart, and I wanted to look away from him, but I couldn't.
He wanted to argue about me talking with Eleazar; fine, why was he with his sister? He looked at me, confused, before shaking his head.
"Where in the world did you get…" he started, but I cut him off.
"I'm not stupid, William, not anymore. I know the signs, and so does everyone else. At least have the decency not to see her when we're in public," I said as he chuckled.
"Wait a minute, you're actually giving me permission to have a lover?" He asked as I sighed and closed my eyesfor a secondbefore turning around and walking a few feet away before facing him again.
"Look, you're not mine, and I'm not yours…" I started, but he cut me off.
"Oh, no, that's where you are wrong, little Dove. As I told you before during our dance, you are mine until your final breath," he said, walking up to me and placing one hand on my waist and the other on my chin, making sure our eyes met.
"And I mean what I have said to you, but in this part, you are wrong. I mean it; I am not yours," I said as he smirked.
"We can fix that right now; it is supposed to be our honeymoon, and our marriage needs to be consummated," he said as my eyes widened.
"Don't you dare," I said, feeling my heartbeat and breath increase as he smirked.
"I wouldn't be doing anything you don't want, little Dove," he said as his hand went from my chin to caressing my cheek as I closed my eyes.
'Stay strong, stay strong,' I said to myself. I opened my eyes and stepped back, and he smirked at me.
"Don't worrylittleDove, I won't touch you. Not until you beg," he said as I shook my head.
"That's never going to happen, that I can guarantee you," I said as he raised his eyebrow.
"What makes you so sure?" He asked as I smirked, knowing Iwas going toregret saying this later.
"Simple, if you can have a lover, why can't I?" I asked as I noticed how quickly his eyes changed.
One minute, he was calm and relaxed; the next, they were filled with anger as he walked towards me, and I bumped into one of the legs from the bed.
I should be scared of his reaction due to everything that has happened to me, yet I am not afraid of him. On the contrary, my heart couldn't stop beating rapidly out of control.
"I am going to say this to you only once, Rosalie. Pay attention. Don't test my patience, little Dove. You don't know what I am capable of," he said, my chest continuing to beat rapidly as I looked into his eyes.
"You won't hurt me," I said confidently, as his anger slowly disappeared before he continued.
"I will kill anyone who touches you that isn't me. Don't do something stupid to test me; you won't like the results," he said as I narrowed my eyes at him.
"I am not going to play fair if you won't; remember that dear husband," I said as he smirked.
"Remember my warning, little Dove, I would take it seriously," he said, stepping back from me as I couldn't help but feel anger.
"You're a jerk and a hypocrite!" I exclaimed as he left the room, and Itook a seaton the bench and closed my eyes.
I tried to avoid tears, yet it was impossible; even with my closed eyes, they fell down my cheek.I quickly stood up and went to my vanity to remove my jewelry before going to the bathroom.
I needed a nice bath to relax and calm down. Once I was finished, I headed to the closet to find a nightgown to wear.
Upon entering, I quickly noticed the closet was divided into right and left sections. My stuff was on the right, while William's was on the left.
I also noticed I had many new drawers inside the closet. When I opened them, the top held my normal undergarments, and the middle held my undergarment tops.
'I wonder what's in the last one?' I opened it to reveal many different types of lingerie.
Quickly, I closed the door of the bottom drawer and made my way to my nightgowns; I looked them over as I passed by a beautiful long white V-shaped sateen nightgown with long sleeves.
'This one will do,' I thought as I grabbed it and put it on before heading to my vanity. I brushed my hair and put it into a long braid before getting into bed.
Although, I hesitated for a bit and looked at the bed for a few seconds before walking to it and getting under the covers.
It feels a bit strange not to be in my old room, and it feels weird to move into my husband's room, too.
I lay on the side next to my vanity, which was closer to the balcony door. I turned off the small lantern as the moon shined through the window, giving the room some light.
I turned to face the other side, looked at the wedding rings on my left hand, and sighed.
"I can do this. I am strong and will prove them wrong," I said as I closed my eyes and soon drifted into slumber.
Prince William
It had been half an hour since I walked out of the room and was trying to calm myself in the library.
It was then that I couldn't help but think about what the little Dove had told me earlier during our dance.
"No amount of richness or poorness will make me change my mind; I will stay by your side no matter what,"
"In sickness and health, for richer or poorer. You are my new path, my new dream, and I promise and vow to stay by your side no matter what or where you go. I will always be by your side, loving and supporting you, until our final days,"
I couldn't help but wonder what she meant by that. She told me them twice, and they must have a meaning like mine.
She mentioned riches and poorness twice and said she'd stand by me no matter what. Then it hit me: She was talking about money.
At first, it didn't make any sense, but as I connected the clues they did, I realized that she said that because I knew she was not interested in my wealth.
It's her Father, and it makes sense since he married her off to the biggest biter, which in this case would be my family since we have more wealth and resources than his other allies.
She's trying to tell me that she will be with me no matter what; however, I can't help but wonder if she's willing to go against her Father's wishes as well.
The man is used to getting what he wants from everyone except from me. I don't play by his games, and he knows it.
Then again, my little Dove is starting to shine from her cocoon and isturning to bea bit feistier than I realized, which could lead me to some trouble.
Like her ridiculous idea of me having a lover or, even worse, getting herself one. The moment she mentioned that I felt myself go into the anger mode I've always had.
Even the thought of it makes my knuckles turn white with anger. "You better not, little Dove," I said as I tried to calm down.
She was right about one thing: I wouldn't hurt her, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't break the bastard that touched her.
I looked at the clock and noticed it was almost 10:30, so I decided to go for a walk before returning.
As I walked out of the library, I couldn't help but think of what Daleyza had told me.
Flashback
"I do believe congratulations are in order," she said as I raised my eyebrow.
"What is it, Daleyza? You know today is my wedding, and technically, I should be seen with my wife and not you," I said as she smiled.
"Ancie, to get to your new wife, aren't you? Don't worry, they're not looking at us right now," she said, smiling as I rolled my eyes.
"That's not what I mean," I said as her eyes widened.
"Oh, yeah. They're all looking at her right now and possibly talking to her. I'll make it quick," she said as I raised my eyebrow.
"Who's talking to her?" I asked as she raised her eyebrow.
"Do you want me to tell you? Or do you want the information?" she asked as I sighed.
"Information first, then the other part," I said as she nodded.
"Don't let your wife leave the castle alone, and if you two leave, ensure you have enough guards," she said as I looked at her confused.
"Why?" I asked as she looked both ways.
"Someone is planning to get close to your wife, don't give them the chance," she said as I nodded.
"Trust no one, apart from your family. I heard a mole might be around you," she said as my eyes widened.
"A mole?" I asked as she shrugged.
"Might, it isn't certain yet," she said as I nodded.
"I will keep an eye out for that," I said as she nodded.
"One more thing, never discard your new father-in-law as a potential suspect," she said as I nodded.
"Someone's coming," she whispered as she turned around and left. I turned and noticed a familiar face.
"William, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your wife?" Asked Edward as I smiled.
"I was just about to return," I said as he looked at me confused and looked in the direction Daleyza left as he sighed.
"William, tell me you're not…" he said as I shook my head.
"I'm not," I stopped him as he looked at me seriously.
"Someone could have seen you and thought the worst," he whispered as I smiled.
"Don't worry about it, okay? Just trust me. Can you do that?" I asked as he sighed.
"Fine, but you better not hurt Rosalie," he said as I shook my head.
"Wouldn't dream of it," I said as he smiled.
"Come on, let's go back," he said, and I nodded, and we made our way back.
"What happened to your date?" I asked as he looked confused.
"What date?" He asked, confused, as I smirked at him.
"That girl you have a crush on, from the village. What's her name again? Ayla, Leila? Amara?" I asked, confused.
"Aria," he said as I smiled.
"Point taken," I said as he rolled his eyes.
I was about to ask him something else when he stopped and looked confused before pointing for me to see my wife talking to Prince Eleazar, her ex-fiancée.
"Excuse me, will you?" I said, walking towards them.
"Don't do anything stupid," said Edward as I ignored him and walked to them.
"I would have taken you to my family's private island on a balloon ride," he said, smirking as I arrived just in time.
"It's a Good thing she married me and not you," I said, standing beside my wife as I placed my hand on her waist and pulled her closer to me.
"If you'll excuse us," I said as we walked away from him before stopping near our table.
I was going to say something, but she stopped me by placing her hand on my lips and smiling.
"Not right now, dear husband. You wouldn't want to cause a scene in front of everyone, right? " she asked as I took a deep breath and calmed down.
End of flashback
'Good thing she stopped me because that wasn't the right timenor theplace for that.' I thought, chuckling slightly.
I was about to turn from the entrance when I bumped into a familiar face.
"Well, well, well. I thought you'd be asleep by now, brother, and if not, enjoying your new life," said Edward, smirking. I rolled my eyes and playfully punched him.
"Shut it, Edward," I said as he smirked before chuckling. I was about to say something else when a new familiar face stopped me.
"William, what are you doing this time? I'd thought you'd be resting by now?" Asked GrandDad, confused, raising his eyebrow as I tried to devise an excuse.
"Well, I was…" I started but was cut off by someone.
"Your majesty, thank goodness I still found you. I am so sorry I am late, I had some difficulties, but here it is. Finished and wrapped," said the man as I smiled and took it from him.
"Thank you," I said as he smiled and nodded.
"Have a good night, your majesties," he said as Isaac walked him out.
"You too," I said as I smiled at them.
"I was waiting for this, actually," I said as they looked confused.
"What is it?" Asked GrandDad as I smiled.
"It's a present for my new wife. Her birthday is coming up, and Ihad this madefor her," I said as they nodded.
"Already planningahead?" Asked GrandDad as I nodded.
"And this one was hard to get, trust me," I said as they smiled.
"What about the wedding gift?" Asked Edward as I smiled.
"That one should be done by the end of the week," I said as Edward looked confused.
"So, you got the birthday one before the wedding one?" He asked as I nodded.
"As I said, this one was harder to get," I said as he raised his eyebrow.
"When's her birthday?" Asked GrandDad as I smiled.
"Six weeks," I said as the eyes winded.
"A month and a half?" They asked as I nodded.
"What did you get her?" Asked Edward as I smiled and began to walk away.
"Remember, brother, curiosity killed the cat," I said as he crossed his arms.
"Not fair," he exclaimed as I smiled and continued to walk away.
"You'll find out soon enough. Have a good night, guys," I said as they chuckled and nodded.
"Goodnight," they said as I returned to my room.
Honestly, I wasn't lying, and good thing the painter arrived to save my butt; if not, hell would have broken loose.
As I arrived at my door, I was a little hesitant to open it. I took a deep breath and opened the door to reveal the moon shining through the balcony windows.
I closed the door and walked closer to the bed. When I saw my little Dove sleeping peacefully, I couldn't help but smile.
I opened my small dresser near my bed and placed the wrapped present inside it before closing the drawer.
I made my way to the bathroom and decided to take a nice bath before getting into bed. Once I was done, I headed to the closet and noticed my little Dove still sound asleep.
Upon entering, I couldn't help but wonder if I was going to have difficulty finding my things. They moved all my stuff to the left side and placed her stuff on the right side.
Strangely enough, I found my things without any problem, and they did well.I put on my night clothes and got into bed with my wife. It was strange having her beside me.
I always imagined what it would be like, but it was way different—better. The only problem now is that I don't think I could go back to separate rooms. I would rather have her here next to me, angry, than be far away.
I brought my hand closer, lightly touched her cheek, and brushed it with my thumb. I thought she would wake up, but she didn't. Instead, she smiled slightly.
"Someone is planning to get close to your wife, don't give themthe chance,"
"Don't let your wife leave the castle alone, and if you two leave, ensure you have enough guards,"
"Sleep, my little Dove; I won't let anything happen to you. I will protect you, even if it costs me my life," I whispered as I watched her sleep before drifting off.
