In this what if, Minato Namikaze has an unknown bloodline from his mother and a special heritage on his father's side with the primary nature chakra of Wind. Kushina Uzumaki has a bloodline of a chakra-fueled healing factor with the primary nature of Water.

In this fan fiction, The Third Hokage is withholding Naruto's parentage, but only waiting for Naruto to be mentally ready for the information and scrolls of clan jutsu and history plus his father's knowledge and jutsu.

Chapter #1: The Meeting Of An One-Eyed Jonin

Naruto, a young 6-year-old boy, not being seen in a good light in the village hidden in the leaves. Wearing a black shirt with a red swirl, white shorts, and blue shinobi sandals, went through the back alleyways to head to a training ground. Unknowingly, the same training ground that a certain one-eyed jonin with Defying Gravity silver hair was at.

As Naruto saw the jonin and walked over there to try to talk with the jonin, "So the stone has a lot of names on it, huh?" The jonin nod "yeah there are, there are Uchiha Obito, Nohara Rin, Namikaze Minato, and Uzumaki Kushina. They were the ones I wish I'd die for."

Naruto looked around, then asked "Mmm there's no Hatake Sakumo, why? I read his name some time ago in a book saying he was a hero."

Kakashi responds, "the reason is that he was on a mission, but something happened to have him pick the mission or his comrades. He chose his comrades, which made the village go against him, which made him commit suicide."

Naruto looked and saw a space with the other names, then saw a leftover kunai and carved the Name of Hatake Sakumo. "There is a great hero on the stone now, hey if the dead want you to do something then it would be to train harder to become better, faster, and stronger, to keep your future students and comrades safe, right? So then train defeating a Kage in the next coming years. Well, I think that I used up my welcome, so see ya."

Naruto went on and jogged back to the village. As that happened the one-eyed jonin watched as he ran off, he couldn't help but smile. "Huh sensei, seems like you're still looking out for me through your son, Mmm. So to train defeating a Kage in the next 5–10 years, he-he, I think I like that."

Naruto was walking in the village for the past 30 mins, then he went past the library for both civilians and shinobis. Naruto chooses to risk getting thrown out for the pursuit of knowledge.

He entered the library, and the librarian saw the kid named Naruto, but almost immediately recognized who he was, "child come here."

Naruto walked closer, "give me five hundred Ryo." Naruto gave the money to the librarian, who gave him a Library card, "This is a library card that your father paid for and there is a list of books that your father wants you to read, don't ask if I'm going to tell who he is, because he wants you to figure it out but focus on the books."

Librarian went on to get the books, Basics on physical exercise, Chakra for dummies, Chakra theory for dummies, Chakra control, dictionary, Chakra nature for dummies, time-space Ninjutsu for dummies, introduction to Fuinjutsu, and Genjutsu for dummies. "I don't mind teaching you calligraphy so that when you get more into fluency, you won't be in the need to learn calligraphy. It'll take you at least 6 months to get average, but a year at the most to become great."

Naruto has a smile on his face, but Naruto asked, "With the way the village looks at me, can you maybe get the assignments from the academy? So I can do the assignments and give them to the old man Hokage so that only the Hokage knows what I can do."

The librarian nods in agreement. "But your father gave me a letter for you, for when you start your shinobi journey."

Naruto grabbed the letter and read it,

"To Naruto,

This is your father, but you will not know who I am. You're going to be ready in three years to understand, but I want you to go through my training for you to become one of the great shinobis there is.

Your mother was an Uzumaki seal master, Kenjutsu, Genjutsu, and Ninjutsu of Water with high strong Taijutsu.

But me, I'm a seal master but not like your mother, I focus on my strength, and it was speed never left my strength far behind, then shurikenjutsu.

Next was Ninjutsu of Wind, Tobirama's sensory method, and finally able to sense and dispelling Genjutsu up to high jonin and low Kage.

So I ask your mother to create a training regimen after 2 months. She gave you three years of training when it comes to strength and Genjutsu, with Kenjutsu.

But mine is with Speed, Ninjutsu of your mother, and my jutsu knowledge, Taijutsu, Chakra control, and Elemental chakra papers with change techniques for Wind, Water, Lighting, Earth, and Fire. With fifteen pieces of Chakra paper to learn your single or multiple chakra nature.

There are four seals for years 1, 2, and 3 years of training then there are the Uzumaki clan Scrolls for you to learn through the years and want you to learn Fuinjutsu levels 1 to 8.

Which you should learn within the three-year training period, then learn the Uzumaki Fuinjutsu level 1 to 15 by the time you become 15-year-old.

And so the next year, Naruto went on and read all the books from the list.

But also got into Fuinjutsu, Ninjutsu, and Shurikenjutsu, plus learned from a book called what is a sensor and how to be a sensor by the Nidaime Hokage Tobirama Senju. But found out that there was a pattern to learn Tobirama's sensor method.

The worst shinobi subjects he had were Genjutsu, Chakra control, and Kenjutsu, but He had average Taijutsu.

Naruto's amount of chakra is at the level of high chunin, but with control at the level of low-to-mid genin, it's all because he hadn't done the second step for the chakra control.

He had been trying to do the Kage level of the Leaf sticking exercise for a Kage is 150 leaves, 30 leaves on each limb for two hours, before Naruto moved to tree climbing exercises from the book about chakra control.

Naruto found out how to use the Taijutsu style called Whirlwind fist an Uzumaki style and the Hummingbird Style; he has done and mastered a fourth of the styles.

What he requires is a teacher that has some Taijutsu specialists.

With year one of the training from his mother and father, he found that on the paper for the training with a pair of chakra weights, it wrote, "Son this is year one of the training, your mother and I made, for you to be at the level of chunin in mind and body.

Your mother, with telling her how I got my speed. She created the training regimen for the next three years and when I saw the routine I got scared for you.

I was the one that figured out what was needed for you to get the physical and mental, so I made the schedule for you to follow and this is it.

Saturday and Sunday are off

6 PM to 6 AM is sleep, you'll need it,

6 AM to 7 AM is to bathe, eat, dress, and read rather than chakra control, theory, or Fuinjutsu.

7 AM to 1 PM is academy so bring what you need plus a psychology book and tactics book and continue the Fuinjutsu book, books at the library, not the Fuinjutsu book, and eat when you can

1 PM to 6 PM is physical training

6 PM to 7 PM is making dinner preparing lunch, bathe, and reading some more before Naruto goes to sleep

All the books on the list should and need to be read by the sixth month of the second year.

Throughout the year,

Naruto had gone through the books of Fuinjutsu 1-6 regular, shurikenjutsu, Ninjutsu, Tobirama's sensory method, chakra theory, anatomy, science, math, physics, biology, meditation, and negotiation.

But only could get halfway based on stubbornness like chakra control, Taijutsu, cooking, knowledge of plants, tactics,

Then a misunderstanding towards Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, Bujutsu, but with boredom on History.

Right now, Naruto is at training ground 23, thinking that he's all alone practicing Taijutsu Katas.

But was being watched by the same one-eyed, gray-haired jonin from a year ago with another jonin with a bowl haircut, and big bushy eyebrows.

One eye jonin, "So Guy mind doing this favor for me?"

The jonin with a bowl haircut was named Guy, "a Young man right here has the right things, and I'll be the one to amplify his flames of youth, Kakashi."

With that, Gai dropped in front of Naruto a bit, getting into the goken starting stance, "I want you to spare with me, and I can help with getting you better at the style you're training in, how is that?"

Naruto grinned wildly, then spoke, "Oh, then you're on."

Now, for the next five hours, Naruto has undergone a massive shift in his Taijutsu styles. The Hummingbird Style has 6 stages of mastery, it's of speed and precision, and he gains to stage 5 mid-mastery. On the whirlwind fist, the stages of mastery are 8, the style is of strength, chaotic offense, and a flowing defense. The first four is a strong form for an offense which he couldn't get with, but the defensive forms were more suited for him than any he had tried.

Gai when he got home couldn't help but think of something missing in Naruto's Taijutsu.

After an hour of thinking, Gai's answer for that was the Cheetah style fast and offensive ordinary Taijutsu style would fit with the hard-hitting of the whirlwind fist and speed and precision from the Hummingbird. Plus, the flowing like the wind type of defense from the whirlwind fist. Let's name it the Whirling Maelstrom.

Naruto was home, finishing up the last chapter of the regular Fuinjutsu book and taking notes in a scroll for just Fuinjutsu. "Mmm, should I continue or reread each one to make sure I got it right?… Yeah, I should, some stuff might pop out now that I have advanced knowledge of Fuinjutsu. Then I could go on and try making the seals with regular ink, but I could also add space and time research."

But at that moment, Naruto had a breakthrough on something he has been trying to figure out, "okay Mokuton, what if the reason is that the chakra needed something to give life. So if it's documented that Hashirama said that it was earth and water nature transformation molded together to make Mokuton, then I wonder if I add the nature chakra of Yang release."

Meanwhile, in the year of, Naruto training from his mother's and father's directions from scrolls.

There is another that's not getting the type of love he desires from his father and the attention towards his big brother Itachi, he would practice for hours on end to master the great fireball jutsu of the Uchiha clan.

His name is Uchiha Sasuke, he hasn't had not been noticing the love from his mother, but he's on his way home but to walk past an alleyway, stopped when he heard of wording that he didn't like, "Haha look at those weird eyes,"

A boy said, "w-w-w-why, I'm sorry."

A young girl told the boy, "Why does the little princess think she's better or what?"

Another boy said grinning, "no t-t-that's not trying t-t-to d-d-do o-o-or something."

Sasuke thought it was time to step in, Sasuke took down the two boys that took 15 minutes to get the boys to run away then he went on to help the young girl, "hey, what is your name? My name is Uchiha Sasuke."

The tearing-up girl looks up to her hero, "M-m-my n-n-name is H-H-Hyuga Hinata."

With that, Sasuke took the time to get to know Hinata, how her clan and father look down on her, and how her younger sister is being rutted by the Clan elders and her father.

Hinata took the time to learn Sasuke, how his father dismisses him, lack of attention from Itachi, and as the Clan would be referred to as Itachi's little brother. In the small conversation, the two found a knitwit spirit with each other.

But all good things must come to an end when a Hyuga member took Hinata away, after that it took Sasuke a bit to notice that it was late so he ran home.

Making it home, there was his mother sitting at the table waiting for him, "hey mom, I could see that dinner is ready, and father ate and went to sleep didn't he?"

Mikoto, a beautiful woman, the mother of Itachi and Sasuke, "Sasuke… your father doesn't like the way you train, he hates why you're training, he believes that you could be better, but why is where it's at.

Your father's reason is to protect Konoha, but that only got him so far.

I found a friend that somehow became my sister that I wanted to protect, only when I became 14 I started to react to the surface of my potential, but never got to the tip of the iceberg.

Then there is your older brother, Itachi, and the reason he is so powerful for his age is that he loves you so much that he wouldn't allow a strain of your hair to be touched.

You are his why, to protect you so in the next couple of weeks, I think that you should figure out your why, can you do that for me, honey find out your why?"

After the explanation and question from his mother, he proceeded to eat his food. Sasuke got up to walk to his room but stops, "Kaa-chan, I will figure that out and when I find it out I will tell you… until then good night Kaa-chan loves you."

After getting a soft love "You back!", he reached his room to think about it but couldn't find why for his training, which was wired cause there was a lavender-eyed girl repeatedly brought back into his head. He shakes it off and went to sleep.

At the Academy,

There's a classroom full of 7-year-olds, about 29 of them.

Out of all of them, there are mainly 8, 7-year-olds, and they are, Aburame Shino, Akamichi Choji, Hyuga Hinata, Inuzuka Kiba, Nara Shikamaru, Uchiha Sasuke, Uzumaki Naruto, Yamanaka Ino.

These children are the next generation of Konoha shinobis, as everyone else is too busy believing that they are better than they are or being a fangirl.

The teacher was a chunin by the name of Umino Iruka, someone that has some baggage from the death of his parents when the nine tails attacked the leaf, but right now is his time to teach.

It's lunchtime when we see Naruto looking from afar and a shogi game going on with Akamichi Choji, and Nara Shikamaru. After a bit of time, Naruto walked toward the two which just finished a shogi game, "Hey, do you mind if I jump in the next game?"

The Blum boy looked towards the pineapple-haired boy and back to Naruto, "sure, take my spot, and the name is Akamichi Choji."

Naruto took a sit then spoke, "my name is Uzumaki Naruto, and I've never played shogi, mind teaching me it?"

A sigh came from the pineapple-haired boy, "Troublesome, fine I'll explain how to play and the rules, the name is Nara Shikamaru, let's get this over with."

One quick five-minute game to explain the rules then proceed to get into a 45 minutes game to where Naruto makes Shikamaru into his thinking pose, but then stops for a bit to start to talk. "So Shikamaru, what are your dreams?" ended with Naruto making his move,

"Well, I just want an average life, to be an average shinobi, an average wife, then 1 or 2 kids then die looking at the clouds."

Shikamaru put down his piece, "so you want to die, huh?"

Naruto swiftly placed his knight,

Shikamaru sat right up, wondering, "What do you mean by that?"

Putting down a piece randomly,

Unknown to the two, there was a crowd together around them, Naruto and Shikamaru.

But there was a young Uchiha that was still trying to figure out what his mother was talking about. "Well, you're smart with strategizing but what if those strategies need someone fast or strong, but no one is fast or strong enough to do your plan, but the one thing that could've changed that it's that you could've trained to protect your friends, family, and comrades.

An average shinobi is a dead shinobi, but a great shinobi is someone that trains well every day, sleeps well every day, studies well every day, and plays well every day.

I'm training every day for when I get a family or make a family, I'd be fast enough, strong enough, and smart enough to protect my friends and families."

Naruto put the knight where Shikamaru's King was taken. Naruto puts his hands out to shake, and Shikamaru takes his hand for a shake.

Nara's Clan compound — Dinner — Clan head house,

After school, during dinner,

Shikamaru's father Shikaku noticed when Shikamaru came home.

He's been in deep thought the whole day, so he became worried about what his son had trouble getting his head around, at the dinner table.

Shikaku asked: "Hey Shikamaru, what happened at school that got you all shook up?"

Yoshino Shikamaru's mother stopped to listen to what her son going to say, "Well dad, at school, there was this kid that bested me in a game of Shogi, he asked me what I wanted to be, so I said I wanted to be an average shinobi."

Shikaku asked once more, "What did this kid say?"

Shikamaru continues "Well he said, That I wanted to die,"

Yoshino and Shikaku looked at each other, "Then he's that an average shinobi is a dead shinobi. But a great shinobi is someone that trains well every day, sleeps well every day, studies well every day, and plays well every day. Is he right for what he said?"

Shikaku said, "Yes the kid is telling the truth, this is something that the average Nara finds out when someone close to them died, and I'm glad that this kid got you thinking to take your training seriously, mind if you give us the kid's name?"

Shikamaru answered, "Okay sure, His name is quite troublesome, but his name is Uzumaki Naruto."

The next day

Uzumaki Naruto got to the academy early in the morning.

There were several civilian children in the room, but there was one clan child named Uchiha Sasuke.

Naruto walked up to and sat next to the Uchiha, "What is it that you want?"

Naruto asks "What is it that you fight for?" at that moment the door slides open, bringing the Uchiha's attention to see the Hyuuga's princesses,

With the sight caught the voice of Sasuke, "While I train, to be able to have a chance to have a family, but I fight for the chance to get acknowledgment from the people of Konoha."

Naruto looked to see Sasuke had a pink tint on his cheeks as the Uchiha spoke, "I want to fight to protect my friends and family, plus someone I want to become someone that want to be with."

Naruto smiled as he handed Sasuke a piece of paper, "I want a training partner, but there might be more training partners that I would invite some more to train with us."

Sasuke took it but saw a newcomer going to his desk Shikamaru when Naruto walked past him to lay a piece of paper in front of Shikamaru.

Shikamaru took a look at the paper and looked in on it, 'Come to training ground 23, If you wanted to train with me Naruto, if you want to bring someone, no one from the Konoha council members. Reason will come when you come, Uzumaki Naruto' as the rest of the kids came walking into start with the class.

When the bell rang, the rest of the class were in their seats,

Umino Iruka the teacher walked into the classroom but with another child, a pinkette girl with a wide forehead which got the eye of Naruto, "Class this girl is,"
Iruka sensei was interrupted by the girl "My name is Haruno Sakura"

Half of the class burst out into laughter and one said "Wow look at her hair, her hair is the color of bubble gum. If I cut it, will it chew like bubble gum,"

Another added to the insult, "look at that big forehead, it's wider than a baldy."

Sakura got mad and impulsively yelled "I'm going to be the first female Hokage Shinaroo" because the civilian part of the class continued to laugh at her.

But Uzumaki Naruto stood up and put his right hand on his heart, "I want to be the greatest Hokage, that everyone in the village respects and admires too."

Naruto smiled but Sakura, scuffing not even believing the blonde boy, Sakura took a seat next to Yamanaka Ino.

Naruto couldn't help but keep an eye on Sakura because he could feel the amazing potential within her.

With the pairings, I have chosen it's because I dislike the pairing of Naruto/Hinata and Sakura/Sasuke, it makes no sense to me. So I decided to have it be Naruto/Sakura like Minute/Kushina because there was already a compare and contrast of the two couples. Then there is Sasuke/Hinata makes more of sense with the two non-prodigies of rival clans getting looked down upon for their weakness or placement of birth. Unflavored by their fathers, comforts by their mothers and getting tested by their own siblings, and seen with great expectations within the clan.

I have the starting of a plan for Itachi, and the reason a good amount of changes will happen, with my own long form of explanation for the changes.
