I do not own Pokémon at all. Also, the idea is not original per se. A YouTuber's video gave me ideas. I also talked to said YouTuber personally, and he helped out. His name is EliteMJ, go look him up on YouTube, his videos are very well-made.
After leaving Pewter City, Aaron, Daphne, and Franklin walked onto Route three. Aaron looked at his Badge, Daphne her ribbon, and Franklin his Battle Tournament coin as they were all excited and ready for their next win for each of them. Along route three they saw Wild Pokémon of their Caught Pokémon and decided to take a rest to let their Pokémon out. When Franklin's team Saw his newly evolved Ivysaur, they were originally caught by surprise, but were happy to see that Beedrill wasn;t the only one who evolved.
"They're getting along well," Franklin said with a smile. Aaron told him that they're teammates, then pointed out that they share the same type so of course they'd get along. Daphne looked at her Nidoran as it nuzzled up to Franklin's Nidoran. she pointed out that the two Nidorans could be together. Franklin nodded his head and said, "Well, it makes sense; we did catch them together."
"Not to mention that it was around the same time I caught Cassius." Aaron said as he looked at Cassius as he ate an Apple. Then Daphne winced as her back felt a pain. Frank asked if she needed her medication, but Daphne said that she didn't need it. Rei looked at her and hopped onto her lap, causing Eevee to get a little Jealous. Eevee hopped onto her lap next to Rei and pushed her off.
Rei looked at Eevee and glared as Eevee simply stuck her tongue out. Rei growled as her cheeks began showing static charges. Soon everyone but Charger got a nice hard shock. Afterwards, Aaron held Rei on his lap as she had her tiny arms crossed. Aaron patted Rei's head as he said, "It's ok Rei. Don't let Eevee get under your fur." Rei looked and smiled as she got on his shoulder.
Soon the Pokémon all felt something and that worried the three friends. Rei, Charles, Oddish, and Eevee all ran in one direction as Aaron, Franklin, and Daphne all recalled the other Pokémon and chased after the four. They ran through the forest before coming to a field and saw the four Pokémon looking at the field. The sight was that of horror also lost to time; downed Jet Fighters covered in vines, old tanks rusting away, Helicopters with their rotors slowly spinning.
"This must have been one of the battles in the war." Aaron said as he picked up Rei and Charles. Franklin picked up Oddish as Daphne picked up Eevee. Daphne asked if they should report the site, but soon Ghost Pokémon appeared. Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, even Misdreavus, Shuppet and Banette appeared too. One Banette was also mega evolved. That made the three panic and were about to run when suddenly.
"RAICHU! USE THUNDERBOLT!" A voice shouted. That was when a Raichu jumped over them and shocked the Ghost Pokémon into fleeing. Aaron and his friends looked Behind them and saw a man wearing Military Fatigues and missing an Arm. The Raichu landed beside the man and they saw that the Raichu had a Scar of three lines across its left eye.
"General Surge!" Aaron shouted as he ran over to the man and Raichu with Daphne and Franklin following him. The man smiled and said that being a General was long behind him after he retired. Daphne got to Aaron and said, "Sir, it is a great honor to be in your presence… and that means this is your Raichu. We all know what you did in the war and we thank you for your service."
"Think nothing of it kids, I was doing my part as a Gym Leader. Seems to me that this battlefield has lured Ghost Type Pokémon here." Surge said as he looked at the old battlefield. Aaron nodded his head and said that Ghost types always gather around areas where a lot of Death reside. Surge then asked them, "So you're Ash's kid, Aaron right? And you're Professor Oak's daughter, and I recognized that silver hair anywhere, you're Stone's kid." the three nodded their heads.
"I heard that you were with my dad when he passed… Did he?" Franklin said and didn't finish. Surge knew what he meant and told Franklin that his dad said that Franklin was on his mind when he passed. Franklin teared up and Daphne hugged her cousin. Franklin looked up and thanked him for telling him his dad's last thoughts.
"No worries kiddo." Surge said as he put a hand on Franklin's shoulder. Franklin missed his father terribly, but knew he gave his life for the Regions. Surge then told them, "I was actually on my way here when I saw you kids. Glad we got here when we did, right Raichu?" Surge's Raichu nodded his head. Aaron then scanned Raichu and with his Pokédex.
"Raichu, the Mouse Pokémon, Kanto form. A Pure Electric type, Its tail discharges electricity into the ground, protecting it from getting shocked. This Raichu is a Male and knows Thunderbolt, Double Kick, Mega Punch, and Iron Tail. This Raichu has been caught by Former Region Alliance General Surge." was what his Pokédex said. Rei got off his shoulder and communicated with Surge's Raichu. Aaron knelt down and asked Rei what she wanted. Rei made motions that she wanted to learn the move that Raichu used.
"Seems like Rei wants to learn Thunderbolt." Daphne said to Aaron, who agreed with her. Rei cheered as Raichu led her over to an old Tank. Raichu and Rei began Training to help Rei learn Thunderbolt. Aaron then called out the rest of his Pokémon and decided to get in some training as well. Franklin and Daphne called out their Pokémon too and set up lunch there on the old Battlefield.
As Rei and Surge's Raichu trained Rei to use Thunderbolt, Zane sat on a branch looking around when he saw a wild Kanto Raticate moving closer to the food. He swooped in and started to use Peck and Gust on it. Aaron saw it and had Zane use Sand Attack. Zane Obeyed and shot a Sand Attack at the Raticate and sent the Wild Pokémon running away. Aaron smiled and congratulated Zane on learning Peck. Zane smiled and cheered as Wilbur ate an Oran Berry. Cassius swung from branches as Charles used his tail to light wood for Franklin to make food for them.
Aaron then had Cassius and Zane spar with each other as he shined Charger's armor. Zane and Cassius kept sparring when Cassius got a hit on Zane with Ice Punch, sending Zane into a tree. Aaron ran over but saw Zane shaking the ce Off him and flapping his wings before he began glowing. Everyone was shocked, as was Cassius, Zane flapped his wings as they got bigger, the legs got longer and the beak more profound. Once he stopped glowing, Zane flapped his wings as he made his cry.
Aaron took his Pokédex out and scanned his newly evolved Pokémon. His Pokédex said, "Pidgeotto, the Bird Pokémon and the evolved form of Pidgey. A Normal and Flying type. Pidgeotto claims a large area as its own territory. This Pokémon flies around, patrolling its living space. If its territory is violated, it shows no mercy in thoroughly punishing the foe with its sharp claws. This Pidgeotto is a Male and knows Tackle, Sand Attack, Peck, and Gust. This Pidgeotto has been caught by current trainer Aaron Ketchum."
"SWEET!" Aaron shouted as he ran and hugged Zane. Rei saw it and smiled before Surge's Raichu got her attention back on the training. Cassius cheered for Zane as Wilbur fluttered beside him. Raichu and Rei bounced around the old vehicles fast and Rei suddenly moved faster than Surge's Raichu, meaning she just learned Quick Attack . Aaron smiled as Rei kept training by concentrating Thundershocks into a Thunderbolt . Soon Rei was able to get a Thunderbolt out instead of a Thundershock. Surge then looked over at Eevee and suggested a Thunderstone To Daphne if she wanted to evolve Eevee into Jolteon.
Eevee looked at him with a mad glare. Daphne then said, "Seems like she doesn't want to be a Jolteon, but thank you for the offer Surge." Surge nodded his head and told her to not worry about it. That was when Eevee sensed trouble and saw Rattatas appear with the same Raticate that Zane scared off earlier. Rei, Charles, Ivysaur, Oddish, Eevee, and Spearow all leaped into action with Surge's Raichu. Rei started off with a combined Thunderbolt with Raichu which opened up for Charles to get in a Dragon Tail and soon a flame from his mouth which meant he learned Ember. Oddish and Ivysaur used a combined Razor Leaf while Eevee and Spearow took out any Ratata that didn't get hit with their Tackles. The Raticate then went to use Hyper Fang on Eevee, but Spearow pushed Eevee out of the way and took the hit herself.
"SPEAROW!" Shouted Daphne as she ran to her injured Bird Pokémon. Raticate went for another Hyper Fang, but Eevee used tackle which turned into Bite on the Raticate. The Nidorans joined in and both used Double Kick on stunned Rattatas while Wilbur used String Shot to tie them up. After the Raticate and Rattatas ran away, Surge smiled and said, "You all worked well and cared for your Pokémon. Aaron, when you get to my Gym I will be happy to accept your Gym Challenge."
"Wow… thank you, Surge," Aaron said with a smile, and the two shook hands. Afterwards, they parted ways with Surge and resumed their Journey. Along the way, Rei and Charles looked around, and that made Aaron smile as the furthest Charles had been from home before they started the Journey was Route 1 and Rei had never seen the outside world before she was born.
"After Mount Moon is my mom's hometown and no doubt she will hold back." Daphne said to Aaron. Aaron nodded his head as he knew which Pokémon he wanted to use to face off against Misty. That was when a Dratini landed in front of them hard. Aaron ran over as Daphne scanned it with her Pokédex.
"Dratini, the Dragon Pokémon. A pure Dragon type, It sheds many layers of skin as it grows larger. During this process, it is protected by a rapid waterfall. This Dratini is a male and knows Thunder Wave, Dragon Tail, Agility, and Slam. This Dratini has been caught by trainer Damon Barrett." was what the Pokédex said. The three of them looked at the Dratini as it had injuries all over his body.
That was when a boy about their age walked up to them with a Hitmonlee following him. He had Purple hair, a Blue jacket, jeans, and Blue shoes. Aaron stood up holding the Dratini and the boy said, "That's my Dratini." That made the three friends glare at the new arrival, who revealed himself to be Damon Barrett. Aaron looked at him and said that Dratini needs to be taken to a Pokémon Center. But Damon shook his head and said, "He's not getting treated until he beats my Hitmonlee."
"Barrett… was your dad Paul Barrett? The guy who was a rival to my dad?" Aaron asked as he held onto the Dratini. Damon looked and said, "Yeah, so you're the Ketchum kid. I must say, I'm not impressed."
"Watch it buster." Daphne said as she sent out her eevee and Franklin called out Ivysaur while Rei and Charles joined them. Damon looked at them and looked at Hitmonlee and nodded his head. The Kicking Pokémon nodded back before charging and used a Low Kick to catch the four Pokémon off guard, but Ivysaur caught himself with his vines and then used Vine Whip to fight back. Charles got a hit with Dragon Tail, but it allowed Hitmonlee to get a Sucker Punch on Charles.
"THUNDERBOLT REI!" Aaron shouted. Eevee watched Rei and soon, Eevee also used Thunderbolt on Hitmonlee. Everyone was shocked at what happened. When Daphne scanned Eevee, her pokédex said that Eevee had learned Mimic . That made Aaron and Daphne smile before they shouted, " THUNDERBOLT !/ MIMIC !" Rei used Thunderbolt again and Eevee used Mimic , which was Thunderbolt again. Hitmonlee took the hit as Dratini watched as the humans he landed near defending him from his abusive trainer.
Soon Hitmonlee was panting as he got recalled by Damon and he sent out Graveler. Franklin scanned Graveler as the Pokémon fought it and his Pokédex said, "Graveler, the Rock Pokémon. A Rock and Ground type. They are slow Walkers, so they roll to move. They pay no attention to any object that happens to be in their path. This Graveler is a Male and knows Bulldoze, Rock Throw, Rock Blast, and Mud Shot. This Graveler has been caught by Damon Barrett."
"Bulldoze!" said Damon. Graveler obeyed and bulldozed right through all four Pokémon and soon was about to hit the three friends when Dratini used Dragon Tail to hit Graveler backwards. Damon growled as Dratini stood against him. So he got Dratini's Pokéball out and had Graveler smash it.
"I'm not going to have a Pokémon on my team that defies me." Damon said as he walked away after recalling Graveler. After healing all the Pokémon, Aaron held Dratini on his lap as Daphne and Franklin sat beside him. Rei, Charles, and Eevee all looked at Dratini as Daphne asked Aaron if he's gonna catch Dratini.
"I'm not sure… Cause I don't want to send one of my team to the Ranch yet." Aaron said before Wilbur came out of his Pokéball and landed on Aaron's head. Aaron looked up and Franklin said that maybe Wilbur felt Aaron's issues and was volunteering. Aaron looked at him before looking back at Wilbur and asked, "Are you ok with going to the Ranch?" Wilbur nodded his head. Aaron smiled and said, "Thanks buddy, once we get to Cerulean City I'll send you over, ok?" Wilbur nodded his head as Aaron looked at Dratini.
Dratini, would you like to go on a Journey with me?" Aaron asked the Dragon Pokémon, to which he nodded his head. Aaron smiled and they all came up with a name for Dratini. That was when Aaron said Draco, Dratini jumped onto his shoulders with Rei and Charles. Aaron chuckled as they all continued walking to Mount Moon. Meanwhile, Ash had been on call with the Champions of the other Regions, Lance from Johto, Brendan from Hoenn, Cynthia From Sinnoh, Iris from Unova, Diantha from Kalos, Hau from Alola as a stand in for Ash, Leon from Galar, and Nemona from Paldea.
"What's the status of your evil teams?" Ash asked them all. Lance said that Rocket Grunts were spotted in some cities talking, as Brendan told Ash that Magma and Aqua Grunts were fighting each other for territory.
"Team Galactic Admin Mars was seen in twinleaf but she was in regular clothes, Saturn and Jupiter are still in Sinnoh's prison." Cynthia told him. Iris told Ash that the Plasma Grunts are behaving since their leaders were captured and either imprisoned or choose suicide. Diantha said that those from team Flare have been reformed and are working jobs for Kalos.
"The Team Skull Grunts are still an annoyance, but nothing much has happened since their leaders took them out of the alliance Giovanni formed and switched sides to defend Alola." Hau told Ash, Leon and Nemona said the same about Team Yell and team Star. Ash nodded his head before telling them about Giovanni's escape.
"He's OUT?! How long has he been out?!" Asked Iris. Ash told them that he had been out for a few days and hoped to have it contained to Kanto, but wanted them to know in case the evil teams of their regions did something. The other Champions nodded their heads as they trusted Ash, for he had led them through the war. Cynthia then asked about Ash's son.
"Aaron's on his journey, I don't want him to worry about this. Besides he has Gary's daughter and Steven's son, he's ok." Is what Ash told them. The Champions nodded their heads and stayed silent, as they all knew what had happened to Steven Stone during the war. Ash then said, "We're looking for Giovanni, but I want you all on high alert." The champions all nodded their heads. After the call ended, Ash felt someone on his back and looked. It was May, and he held her in his arms. May rubbed Ash's back and told him that they would be fine. Ash looked out the window and said, "I know… but still… can't help but to worry about what could happen if Giovanni tries to capture him to use against us…" May held his hand and rubbed his back more.
