Tuesday rolled around faster than you wanted it to. You were nervous walking into the squad room and hoped that Amanda and Fin would be as accepting of the news as Olivia and Alex had been. They really were like your aunt and uncle and hoped that they wouldn't be too mad at you for lying to them for so long. The team gathered around the table like always to go over any new and current cases.

"So before we talk about any cases, I have some important news to share with everyone," Olivia stated, gathering everyone's attention, "In a surprising turn of events this weekend Alex and I came to discover a secret that Y/N has been hiding from us all."

"Ohhh someone's in trouble," Fin interrupted, nudging you with his shoulder.

"What's the big secret," Amanda asked, looking from you to Liv.

"We found out when Y/N's birthday is and it turns out our lovely little rookie has been hiding her true age. Why don't you tell them your birthday Y/N."

Sighing, you turn to face Fin and Amanda, dropping your head to avoid their eyes. You hesitated and started to play with your hands. Olivia steps up behind you and whispers a "go ahead honey" into your ear while giving you a light swat to encourage you.

"My birthday is April 13th, 2005," you mumble just loud enough for them to hear you.

"What?!"

"Are you serious?!"

"I'm sorry. I never wanted to lie to you. I needed to get out of the last foster home I was in and got a new birth certificate to make me 5 years older. I went through the academy and got assigned here."

"That makes you like what, barely 20," Amanda asked in shock.

"Yeah," you sigh sadly as it seemed they weren't going to take the news very well.

"Alex and I have already had a long discussion with Y/N about this and put some new rules in place. She will not be joining us for drinks after cases, she will not be doing any undercover work, and there will be no drinking alcohol until she is 21. She will also be grounded until then," Liv explained pulling you into her side.

"Well I'm hurt that you didn't tell me," Fin said, stepping forward and ruffling your hair, "I am supposed to be the cool uncle you tell all the secrets to, but I still love you, kid."

"I'm sorry, Uncle Fin, but I'll tell you all my secrets from now on," you chuckle as he pulls you away from Liv and into a tight hug.

"Yeah, sweetie," Amanda chimes in, joining your hug with Fin and placing a kiss on your temple, "how can I be the cool aunt if I don't have all the facts?"

"Alright, now that that is all settled, let's get on with the meeting," Liv ordered.

Things seemed to be okay for the first week or so, and no one treated you any different for the most part, but then the word seemed to spread through the stationhouse. You would pass by groups in the hallway or squadroom only to hear them start to chuckle or make comments/jokes about your age. At first, it was easy to ignore, but then the comments and jokes focused on your role as the baby of the squad. Then, the baby bottles and pacifiers started showing up on your desk and in your locker, making you more irritated by the day.

"God dammit," you yell throwing the latest pacificer across the locker room before ploping down on the bench, drawing Amanda's attention.

"Hey, sweetie what's going on," she asks, walking over and picking up the pacifier and joining you on the bench.

"Nothing," you grumble, slamming your locker shut and hiding your face in your hands.

"Come on honey, I know you better than that," she says, nudging you with her shoulder.

"I'm fine, Amanda."

"Does it have something to do with this," she asks, holding the pacifier out to you.

"It's stupid," you sign, taking it out of her hand and playing with it nervously.

"Sweetie, it is obviously bothering you, and nothing that bothers you is stupid. Come on baby, talk to me please," she asks, putting her arm around you and pulling you closer to her.

"The last couple weeks," you sigh, leaning into Amanda's hug, " people have started laughing and making comments and jokes when I walk by. They say things about me being the baby of the squad, and at first, I was able to ignore it, but now it's getting worse. For the last week, they have been leaving baby bottles and pacifiers on my desk and in my lockers."

"Have you told Liv and Alex?"

"No! Everyone is already calling me a baby."

" Okay, shhhh. It's okay sweetie."

"No it just fucking annoying! It's bad enough that I have always had to fight for everyone to see me as an equal, but now everyone is just treating me like a child. I hate it…..

"Y/N"

"and now everyone knows that Liv and Alex treat me like their own and so I can't fucking say anything because they will think I am running to tattle and its just so stupid and they are so annoying and irritating….

"Y/N," Amanda says a little louder this time, trying to stop your rant.

"Then I am fucking grounded on top of it all and I can't imagine what wuld happen if everyone learned about that. It would just give them one more thing to fucking tease me about. I don't know what to do its just keeps getting fucking worse….

"Y/F/N Y/M/N," Amanda yells, grabbing the pacifier from your hand, plopping it in your mouth, and holding it there as she turns your face to meet hers. The act takes you by surprise and you stare at her with shock filled eyes.

"Are you ready to listen to me," she asks continuing to hold the pacifier in your mouth.

"Mmmhmm," you mumble, nodding your head.

"Look honey, they guys will continue to give you a hard time as long as you let them see that it bothers you. If you ignore them and show them that it doesn't bug you then they will lay off."

"Hmm," you attempt to ask "how" around the pacifier Amanda is still holding in your mouth.

"I bet you $100 that if you use the pacifiers as a chew toy for the rest of the week and fill one of those bottles with your coffee once or twice, everyone will stop teasing you by Friday."

"Uh-uh," you moan, giving her a dirty look at the idea of her ridiculous suggestion.

"Well then, they are just going to keep giving you a hard time, kiddo," Amanda chuckles, releasing the pacifier and booping your nose.

"You promise it'll work," you ask, gripping the pacifier between your teeth.

"Definitely, sweetie."

"Okay, I'll do it."

"That's my girl," Amanda says, kissing you on the forehead as she stands to walk out of the locker room, with you close behind.

It didn't take more than a few days of following Amanda's advice for everyone to stop giving you a hard time. On Friday morning, you find Amanda sitting at her desk and walk over to her waving a crisp $100 bill in her face.

"I guess I lost that bet," you chuckle as she smiles up at you grabbing the bill, "Thanks for all your help."

"Anytime sweetie," she said standing up and pulling you into a hug, " and when you're old enough, I'll put this to good use, and drinks will be on me."

"Who says we have to wait," you say jokingly.

"We do, young lady," you hear behind you and you turn around to come face to face with Olivia and Alex who are wearing matching looks of irritation.

"I was joking I swear," you say, holding up your hands in surrender.

"You better be, young lady. You know what will happen if you have any alcohol before you are 21," Alex sternly reminds you as she gives you a don't push it look.

"How could I forget with everyone reminding me every fucking second of the day," you grumbled under your breath turning around to head towards your desk.

Olivia and Alex simultaneously land a hard swat to your backside causing you to quickly cover your backside as you turned to face them.

"Language," Alex stated crossing her arms.

"Attitude," Olivia added with a smirk.
