Chapter 1: Jyn
"Hey Jyn, Wake up. The Great Deku Tree wants to see you." I groggily get out of my bed and put my tunic on. I walk outside of my small cottage to see my friend Benji waiting for me. "What does he want?" "I don't know. He would not tell me." "Not tell you even though you are his attendant. Hm, strange." I continue on my way through the small village of two houses to the Temple of the Great Deku Tree. Benji knocks on the temple door. We enter and before me is a colossal talking tree. His wise old yet comforting voice says, "Jyn, I would like to give something that your father wanted to give you before his tragic end…" The Great Deku Tree reveals a chest that is decorated with some fancy symbols and decorations. Benji looks at it in awe. I walk over to it and open it.
Inside is a silver broadsword. Graved in the sword are the words, 'Hylian Way.' The Great Deku Tree continues, "I have chosen you to take it because I sense a great darkness emerging." I bow and leave still carrying the sword. I started to think to myself about what darkness is coming. I enter my cottage. I go over to my table and set it on top. I sigh, thinking to myself. I get up and walk over to my shelf and pick an old book from the shelf. The book was an old notebook although I don't know who the old book belongs to. It is practically full of empty pages. I open the book and flip through them. At the back of the book I see words on an once empty page.
"To my Descendant… Find the legendary sword and follow the warrior path"
I am surprised to see this message. But then I get a smell of smoke coming into my room. I ran out to see the forest on fire along with the Great Deku Tree's Temple. I see We are under attack from some gold plated soldiers. I draw my sword and rush towards the battle. Benji uses some magic to fend off some of the attackers. I swing at one of the soldiers but my weapon bounces harmlessly off the soldier. Benji yells to me "Run Jyn! Get out of here!" I Back away from the battle and start to run into the lost woods. I finally emerge from the forest and make my way to civilization.
