Six years later, Lucy was at school when Henry came home, hands full of grocery bags. Henry put the bags on the counter when he noticed a blue glow out of the corner of his eye, so he turned to see the quill glowing. The book was done and he thought he was no longer the author, so he was very confused as to why the quill was glowing, but his instinct told him to check the book. Henry opened the book to the end, only it was not his family having dinner at Granny's. It was the arrival of a new villain who had sent Emma, Snow, David, Zelena and Belle to some other land and somehow Regina, Hook and Rumple were able to escape it. Henry became worried because someone was targeting his family and even though he knew the odds of this villain coming to Seattle were slim to none, he was not willing to take any chances. He grabbed his keys and ran out of the house.
Henry pulled into the parking lot of Lucy's school and ran into the school to the main office.
"I'm here to pick up Lucy Mills" Henry said.
The secretary checked the computer.
"There must be a mistake" the secretary said. "You called to let us know that she was sick and wouldn't be in school today."
"I never made a call" Henry said. "Where is my daughter?"
"She never showed up" the secretary said.
Henry began to panic and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and called Lucy's mother.
"Elena, did you take Lucy?" Henry asked.
"No. This is your week with her" Elena said. "Why? What's wrong?"
"I'm on my way over to your place" Henry said.
"Henry, what is going on?" Elena demanded.
"I'll explain when I get there" Henry said.
"You're scaring me" Elena said.
"I'll be there soon" Henry said.
Henry ran out of the school.
Henry pulled into Elena's driveway and she opened the door once she saw him coming up the driveway.
"What is going on?" Elena asked.
Henry walked Elena inside the house and sat her down on the couch.
"My book" Henry said. "I came home from the store and the quill was glowing so I went to the book and it had more pages."
"After all these years?" Elena asked.
"Yeah" Henry said. "I feel like it was some sort of warning. My family is in danger. Some of them have already disappeared. I went to Lucy's school to pick her up because I had a bad feeling and when I got there, the secretary said that I had called her in sick."
"What are you saying?" Elena asked, knowing what he was saying, but hoping she was mistaken.
"Lucy is missing" Henry said.
"No" Elena cried.
Henry sat down next to her and put his arms around her shoulders.
"We will find her" Henry said. "I don't think it's a coincidence that over a decade later my book gets more pages and it's about a danger to my family."
"Whoever is threatening your family has Lucy?" Elena asked.
"I can't be sure" Henry said. "But, it's a safe bet. We're going to Storybrooke."
"And what if it is just a coincidence?" Elena asked.
"Well then we'll have extra help" Henry said. "My mom and my grandpa are extremely powerful. I may have lost touch with them, but I'm sure they'll help. Lucy is their family too."
Elena and Henry walked out of the house.
In Storybrooke, Regina was in her mansion when there was a knock at the door, so she opened it to see Lucy, unconscious, on her doorstep.
"What the?" Regina muttered to herself.
Regina picked Lucy up and brought her inside. Regina laid Lucy down on the couch and moved her hands above her. Lucy woke up and looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings.
"My name is Regina" Regina said. "What's your name?"
"Lucy" Lucy said. "Where am I?"
"Storybrooke, Maine" Regina said. "How did you get here?"
"I don't know" Lucy said.
"Are you hungry?" Regina asked.
"Kind of" Lucy said.
"Come with me" Regina said.
Lucy followed Regina into the kitchen and sat down at the table. Regina put a piece of lasagna on a plate.
"You're in luck" Regina said, putting the plate in front of Lucy. "Just pulled it out of the oven a little while ago. Do you like lasagna?"
"I love it" Lucy said, excitedly.
"Then eat up" Regina said.
Lucy took a bite out of the lasagna.
Henry was driving and Elena was in the passenger seat looking at the book.
"Any new details popping up?" Henry asked.
"Nothing new since we left" Elena said, trying to mask the fear in her voice.
"Elena, we will find her" Henry said. "I promise you that."
"You haven't exactly been in touch with your mom" Elena said. "Does she even know about Lucy?"
"No. She doesn't" Henry said. "I should've told her."
"Why didn't you?" Elena asked.
"I don't know" Henry said. "I guess I figured she would want me to come and visit and then it would be hard to leave. I loved Storybrooke, but I outgrew it. I wanted to explore other places. If I brought Lucy to visit my mom, she probably wouldn't let me leave. I was selfish. But, we don't even have to worry about that. My mom loves her family. She will help."
"And what if your mom wants you to stay?" Elena asked. "Will you?"
"We'll deal with that when it happens" Henry said.
Henry pulled into Regina's driveway.
"We're here" Henry said. "Come on."
Elena and Henry walked up to the door.
Regina and Lucy were playing a board game when there was a knock at the door.
"I'll be right back" Regina said. "No cheating."
"I won't" Lucy said.
Regina opened the door to see Henry and Elena standing there.
"Henry" Regina said, tears in her eyes.
Regina gave Henry a hug.
"It's so good to see you again" Regina said. "I have missed you so much."
"I've missed you too mom" Henry said. "But, I really need your help. Can we come in?"
"Of course" Regina said, stepping aside.
Henry and Elena walked into the mansion and they saw Lucy sitting on the floor waiting for Regina to come back.
"Lucy" Henry said, relieved.
Henry and Elena ran over to Lucy and gave her a hug.
"Are you okay?" Henry asked.
"I'm fine" Lucy said. "Regina was taking good care of me."
"What's going on here?" Regina asked. "You know each other?"
"Mom, this is Lucy" Henry said. "My daughter."
"Your daughter?" Regina asked, shocked.
Henry nodded.
"Lucy, this is my mom" Henry said. "Your grandma."
"My grandma?" Lucy asked. "That's awesome."
Elena looked at Regina, who was clearly trying to process everything.
"Why don't Lucy and I go explore Storybrooke?" Elena suggested. "I think you and your mom need to do some catching up."
"Are you going to be okay?" Henry asked, worried.
"We'll be fine" Elena said.
"Granny's is on Main Street." Henry said. "She's always got something good cooking in the kitchen."
"Alright" Elena said.
Elena and Lucy walked out of the mansion and Regina looked at Henry.
"I'm not sure about this" Regina said, worried. "There's a new evil that is lurking in Storybrooke."
"Calm down, mom" Henry said. "Elena has magic of her own and she has fought her fair share of evils."
"She seems nice" Regina said. "And Lucy is a great kid."
"They're both amazing" Henry said.
"So, why didn't you tell me about either of them?" Regina asked. "As a matter of fact, why haven't you contacted me at all since you left?"
"I'm sorry, mom" Henry said. "I figured if you knew about Lucy, you wouldn't let me leave Storybrooke. I wanted to explore the world out there and once I had Lucy, I wanted her to live as normal of a life as possible. A life where she doesn't have to look over her shoulder for a danger. But, that didn't really work."
"Well, regardless of how it happened, I am glad that I finally got to meet Lucy and Elena" Regina said. "And how did you meet Elena?"
Henry looked at Regina.
Elena and Lucy walked into Granny's. Granny was happy, but clearly worried about the new faces in town.
"We were told that this is the place to be if we want anything delicious to eat" Elena said.
"That is true" Granny said. "What can I get you?"
"I'll have a grilled cheese" Elena said.
"And I'll have an ice cream sundae with extra fudge" Lucy said.
"Coming up" Granny said.
Granny walked into the kitchen.
Regina put a plate with a piece of lasagna on the table in front of Henry and sat across from him.
"Well, on my travels, I ended up in Avalor" Henry said. "And when I saw Elena, I just knew that I had to get to know her better. We fell in love so fast, but we began to have problems just as fast and broke up. When Elena found out she was pregnant, we got back together, but the problems didn't go away. In fact, with a new baby on the way, more problems arose. We agreed to a custody arrangement and we went our separate ways."
"That has to be challenging for Lucy going back and forth from Seattle to Avalor" Regina said.
"It's not as challenging as you might think" Henry said. "Because she remains in Seattle. Someone cast a spell over Avalor and it sent everyone to Seattle."
"Sounds familiar" Regina said. "Is there any way for them to get back?"
"Elena hasn't figured it out" Henry said.
"Do they know who cast the spell over Avalor?" Regina asked.
"Some woman named Shuriki" Henry said.
"Did you say Shuriki?" Regina asked, concerned.
"Yeah" Henry said. "Why do you know something?"
"I'm pretty sure Shuriki is the name of the new villain in town" Regina said.
"Are you sure?" Henry asked.
"I can't be completely sure" Regina said. "But, it sounds familiar."
"We've got to get to Elena and Lucy now" Henry said.
Henry and Regina ran out of the mansion.
At Granny's, Elena and Lucy were eating their food and Granny walked over to them.
"Are you enjoying the food?" Granny said.
"Absolutely" Elena said. "Henry was right. This is the place to be."
"Henry?" Granny asked. "Henry Mills?"
"Yeah" Lucy said. "He's my dad."
Granny had tears in her eyes.
"Oh, let me look at you" Granny said, with pride in her voice.
Lucy got up from the booth and stood in front of Granny.
"Oh my goodness" Granny said. "I can't believe little Henry now has a little girl of his own."
Henry and Regina walked into Granny's to see Granny hugging Lucy.
"I see you've met my daughter" Henry said.
Granny pulled out of the hug and looked at Henry and Regina in the doorway.
"Oh my goodness" Granny said. "Look at you. You're all grown up."
"Yeah" Henry said. "Listen, have you had any problems here lately?"
"Just the arrival of the newest villain" Granny said. "And what was her name?"
"Shuriki?" Henry asked.
"That sounds right" Granny said.
Henry looked at Elena, who was clearly worried.
"Well, I will leave you to your family" Granny said. "If you need anything, just ask."
"Will do, Granny" Henry said, giving Granny a hug.
Granny walked back into the kitchen and Henry and Regina joined Elena and Lucy in the booth.
"Shuriki is here?" Elena asked, worried.
"Sure sounds like it" Henry said.
"Who's Shuriki?" Lucy asked.
"A really bad lady" Elena said.
"Well, then how are we going to get rid of her?" Lucy asked.
"I think you need to go back home with your grandma" Henry said.
"I'm staying here" Lucy said. "I want to help."
"Your dad is right" Elena said. "Shuriki is dangerous and I can't let anything happen to you."
"It's not fair" Lucy said. "I can handle it."
"Don't argue with your mother" Henry said.
Regina let out a little chuckle.
"What?" Henry asked, looking at Regina.
"Does any of this sound familiar?" Regina asked.
"Don't start with me" Henry said. "Lucy needs to be safe. You can keep her safe."
"Of course I can" Regina said. "And I will. You know I will."
Regina and Lucy walked out of Granny's and Henry and Elena looked at each other.
"This is more problematic than I could've ever thought" Elena said. "I mean, Shuriki is back. She found Lucy and brought her to Storybrooke."
"We'll stop her" Henry said. "And Lucy is safe with my mom."
Elena was clearly worried, so Henry pulled her into a hug.
Regina and Lucy walked into Regina's mansion and Regina noticed that Lucy was upset.
"You know your parents just want you to be safe" Regina said.
"But, I want to help" Lucy said.
"I know you do" Regina said. "You know you remind me so much of your dad. He always wanted to help and one day he was able to. Just like I know one day you will be able to help too. But, that day is not today."
"It's just not fair" Lucy said.
"I know" Regina said, hugging Lucy.
Lucy pulled out of the hug.
"I'm tired" Lucy said.
"Come" Regina said. "I'll get a room set up just for you."
Lucy followed Regina upstairs.
Elena and was sitting outside of Granny's when Zuzo appeared with the sceptre of light.
"Zuzo, what are you doing here?" Elena asked.
"News of Shuriki being in Storybrooke spreads fast" Zuzo said. "I figured you could use a little extra help."
"Thank you" Elena said, taking the sceptre from him.
"How's Lucy doing?" Zuzo asked.
"She's good" Elena said. "Upset that we sent her to be protected instead of allowing her to help, but she'll get over it."
"Take care, Princess" Zuzo said. "And please get rid of Shuriki once and for all."
"I'll try Zuzo" Elena said.
"Now, I'm going to go back to Mateo" Zuzo said. "But, if you need anything, I'll be right back here."
Zuzo disappeared and Henry walked out.
"Who were you talking to?" Henry asked. "And where did you get that?"
"Zuzo" Elena said. "He found me. Figured I could use a little extra help defeating Shuriki. Speaking of Shuriki, we need to find her and defeat her. She came after me and my family and then she came after my kingdom, but now she went after our daughter and I can't let that happen again."
"Let's go" Henry said.
Henry and Elena walked down Main Street.
Regina got Lucy settled in her room.
"I will be back in a minute" Regina said. "Stay put."
"Okay, grandma" Lucy said.
"I mean it" Regina said, sternly.
Regina stepped out of the room and Lucy watched her go into the bathroom before quietly running down the stairs. She hated disobeying Regina, but she needed to do something to help. Lucy opened the front door and ran toward the gate.
"Hello" a voice said.
Lucy looked beside her to see a woman standing there.
"I remember you" Lucy said. "You kidnapped me on my way to school."
"It's true" she said. "My name is Shuriki."
"You're Shuriki?" Lucy asked.
Shuriki nodded.
"I wonder what your mom would give to get you back" Shuriki said.
Shuriki tried to grab Lucy, but Lucy held out her hands. White light came out of her hands and Shuriki was being pushed away. Regina came out of the mansion as Elena and Henry came back. Elena and Henry watched Lucy fighting off Shuriki as Regina stepped beside Lucy and used her light magic to help Lucy. Elena held her scepter out and when the three of them combined their magic, Shuriki was obliterated. Regina, Henry and Elena looked at Lucy in shock.
"How did you do that?" Henry asked.
"I don't know" Lucy said, confused.
"We should all go inside" Regina said.
Regina, Henry, Elena and Lucy walked back into the mansion.
Regina, Henry, Elena and Lucy sat down at the kitchen table.
"What happened?" Henry asked.
"I snuck out of the mansion" Lucy said. "This is all my fault. I just wanted to help."
"It's dangerous" Elena said. "We told you that. You deliberately disobeyed all of us and there is going to be consequences for that."
"But, I did help" Lucy said. "Shuriki is gone."
"That doesn't matter" Elena said. "Don't you understand that you got lucky? Shuriki could have killed you."
"I'm sorry" Lucy said. "But, what happened? How did I do any of this? How did you?"
Elena and Henry looked at each other.
"We need to tell her" Henry said.
"Tell me what?" Lucy asked.
"Remember the stories I used to read to you?" Henry asked.
"Yeah" Lucy said.
"They're real" Henry said. "All of it is real. Your mother has magic. My biological mother, your grandmother, has magic. It must be inherit."
"So, I have magic?" Lucy asked.
"Sure seems that way" Regina said. "Light magic. With that magic comes a great responsibility. You're going to need to learn how to control your magic. How to use it properly. You got very lucky that you had it and were able to use it. But, no more sneaking out. No more fighting the bad guys. Not until you know what you're doing."
"Yes grandma" Lucy said.
"If it's okay with your mom and dad, I can help you learn to control your magic" Regina said.
"Can she please?" Lucy begged.
Henry and Elena looked at each other.
"I don't see why not" Elena said.
Lucy took Henry and Elena upstairs to see her room.
Rumple walked into the mansion, very somber.
"What's going on?" Regina asked.
"I tracked down the others" Rumple said.
"That's great" Regina said.
Rumple stood there silently.
"Isn't it?" Regina asked, worried.
"I'm sorry, Regina" Rumple said. "They're dead. All of them. Snow and Charming. Emma. My wife and your sister."
Regina grabbed onto the edge of the table to steady herself.
"They were taken to the realm where my mother kept my son" Rumple said. "They aged so rapidly that there wasn't anything anyone could do."
"I can't believe this" Regina said, shocked. "This doesn't make any sense."
Regina was fighting back tears when Henry came down the stairs.
"Mom. Grandpa" Henry said. "What's going on?"
"Henry" Rumple said, surprised. "What brings you back to Storybrooke?"
"It's a long story" Henry said. "But, now that I'm here and we got the Shuriki problem out of the way, I'm going to help find grandma and grandpa and mom and Aunt Zelena and Belle."
Regina and Rumple looked at each other.
"What?" Henry asked.
"Sit down" Regina said.
"No" Henry said, with disbelief. "Don't say it."
"I'm sorry, Henry" Regina said, putting her arms around him. "They're gone."
"No!" Henry shouted, tears streaming down his cheeks.
Henry pulled out of the hug and began throwing things as Elena and Lucy came downstairs. Regina walked up to them.
"Get her out of here" Regina whispered to Elena.
Henry looked at Lucy and Elena and dropped to his knees in tears. Elena ran up to him as Regina held Lucy back.
"What's going on?" Elena asked.
"They're dead" Henry said. "My mom. My grandparents. My Aunt. Belle. All of them."
"I am so sorry" Elena said, putting her arms around Henry.
Elena cradled Henry in her arms as Rumple walked over to Regina and Lucy.
"And who might you be?" Rumple asked.
"My name's Lucy" Lucy said. "I'm Henry's daughter."
"The Savior" Rumple said.
"What are you talking about?" Regina asked.
"Lucy Mills, the daughter of Henry Mills and Princess Elena of Avalor, is the next Savior" Rumple said.
Henry and Elena walked up to them.
"What?" Henry asked.
"She's the product of your true love" Rumple said. "Just like Emma was before her."
"Elena and I have been divorced for years" Henry said. "We love each other, but we are not Snow White and Prince Charming."
Regina looked at Elena and noticed her get a little upset.
"You're wrong" Rumple said. "You two have true love."
"We don't" Henry said.
"Excuse me" Elena said.
Elena walked out of the mansion and Regina followed her.
Regina grabbed Elena's arm and spun her around to face her.
"I couldn't help but notice the look on your face when Henry said you were not like Snow and David" Regina said.
"Regina, it's nothing" Elena said, forcing a smile.
"You love him" Regina said.
"I mean, of course I do" Elena said. "We have an incredible daughter. But, Henry's right. We are not each other's true love."
"I don't believe that" Regina said. "I know that I don't know you that well, but I have watched you and my son. I see the love you two have for each other."
"I'm sure Henry has told you that we have had our issues" Elena said.
"Couples do" Regina said.
"Regina, we tried to make it work for Lucy and we couldn't even do that" Elena said.
"You want to know what I think is going on here?" Regina asked. "I think that both you and Henry are scared. I think that there is a love between you two, but because of everything you went through, the issues you had in the past, it has made you scared to explore a love with each other again."
Elena stood there silently.
"Look, ten years is a lifetime ago" Regina said. "I am sure both of you have grown up an awful lot since then and maybe the issues that you two had with each other are gone or maybe you can find new ways to deal with it. It takes true love to create a new Savior."
"How do we even know Lucy is the new Savior?" Elena asked.
"Henry's grandfather is very insightful" Regina said.
"Alright" Elena caved. "I was a little upset when Henry said we didn't have a love like his grandparents did. I never stopped loving him. I wanted us to have a love like that. I read the stories in Henry's book. The love of Snow White and Prince Charming couldn't even be stopped by a curse. No offence."
"None taken" Regina said. "It's true that even my curse couldn't keep them apart."
"Maybe I was just delusional to think we could ever have that" Elena said.
"You weren't" Henry said, walking outside.
"How much did you hear?" Elena asked.
"Enough" Henry said.
"Sounds like you two have a lot to talk about" Regina said. "I'll be inside."
Regina walked back into the mansion as Henry took Elena's hands in his.
"I love you, Elena" Henry said. "I always have and I always will. We can have what my grandparents had. I mean, even they had some issues to work through."
"Do you really believe that?" Elena asked.
"I do" Henry said.
Henry kissed Elena.
"Plus, this place has a certain magic to it" Henry said.
"So we're staying?" Elena asked. "Even after Lucy learns to control her magic?"
"If you want" Henry said.
"Of course I do" Elena said.
Henry looked out out toward Main Street.
"You know, I never realised how home sick I was until I came back here" Henry said.
"I can definitely see why" Elena said. "Storybrooke is great. I can tell that even though I've only been here for a few hours."
"And now with my mom and my grandparents and Aunt Zelena gone. I kind of just want to hold onto this place and all the memories" Henry said.
"That makes sense" Elena said.
Elena looked at Henry, who had tears in his eyes, and pulled him into a hug.
