The Ultimate Ultimate Weapon
After apologizing with Lloyd, the Ninja all started walking up the stairs of the fragile mountain while dreading carefully. "This is my least favorite place I've ever been." Jay said in fear.
"I've spent a lot of time here, and trust me, it doesn't get any better." Garmadon whispered as they all walked up to the front gates of the temple.
"Wait a minute." Lloyd said as he realized what his father just said. "So, you know this place?
"Who doesn't know…" Garmadon started as he wiped his feet on the floor mat revealing the name of 'The Garmadons' on the mat. "Their childhood home." He finished much to the surprise of the Ninja. "Yeah, this place was so unstable I had to move to a volcano just to feel safe."
"How is living in a volcano safer?" Melissa questioned with a brow.
"Volcanos never fall apart." Garmadon said with a shrug as Melissa had no comment on that as he picked up a key from the mat. "Well, shall we?" He asked as he unlocked the doors and they entered the temple, which was pitch black inside. "Stay close. I will lead you through this perilous…"
"Oh, look, a light switch." Jay said as he flipped a switch, which turned on the lights that showed the inferiority of the temple. "Do you guys have a bathroom I could use?"
"Nope." Garmadon shook his head.
Melissa gave a whistle as she looked around the place in amazement. "I have to admit, for an unstable temple the place looks nice." She commented.
"Eh, it was okay." Garmadon said with a shrug.
Nya then gasped at seeing some fruits on a table. "Fresh fruit! Finally, food!" She said as she rushed ahead.
"I'm starving!" Jay called as Nya picked an apple and took a bite out of it.
"Ow!" Nya cried out as she retracted and held her cheek. "I think I chipped a tooth."
"Yeah, my parents were really into plastic fruit." Garmadon informed her.
"And Nya, if this place hasn't been inhabited for many years, do you really think fresh fruit would stay fresh after so long?" Melissa questioned with a brow.
"La-Loyd's girlfriend has a point there." Garmadon said with a brow. "I mean, it has been, I don't know, a hundred years since I've been here."
"Okay, that was dumb." Nya said while still holding her cheek.
"And Melissa is n-not my girlfriend." Lloyd said with a blush on his cheeks.
"Not yet at least." Melissa said, giving Lloyd a smirk which made Lloyd blush even more.
"Whoa! Check out those old photos." Cole said, thankfully changing the topic as they all turned and saw old pictures and items like weapons on the walls that showed Wu and Garmadon's childhood together and their family.
"Look at that." Jay said.
"Aww! They're so cute!" Kai said while seeing baby Wu and Garmadon.
"Look at his baby goatee!" Nya said while pointing at Wu.
"I mean, Master Wu looks like a really old man." Jay commented.
"Haha! He even schooled you back then!" Cole laughed as he saw a picture of Wu beating Garmadon in a tournament.
"You two can't seem to get along, huh?" Melissa asked with a smirk at Garmadon.
Garmadon gave a scoff. "Whatevz." He waved off. "Come on. Let's go find the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon." He reminded them as the Ninja walked off, but Lloyd stood still as he saw a picture that got his attention.
"Wait." Lloyd said, which got them to look at a picture of Garmadon fighting side by side on opposite teams with a familiar woman in armor. "That's… That's you. And that's…" He trailed off when Nya gasped in realization.
"It's Lady Iron Dragon!" Nya exclaimed in amazement. "My Hero!"
"Yes, Lady Iron Dragon." Garmadon said as he looked at the picture longly. "AKA, La-Loyd's mom." He revealed, which shocked the group.
"Wait, what?" Lloyd started off in shock. "Mom was a Ninja?"
"That's right." Garmadon nodded. "She was the most awesome Ninja Warrior I'd ever seen."
"Wow, so not only Lloyd is the son of Ninjago's greatest villain, he's also the son of Ninjago's greatest hero!" Kai said in shock.
"Shock factor is over 105 percent." Zane said naturally.
"Man, if everyone found out about this, maybe that'll stop them from messing with Lloyd." Cole theorized.
"Wow, now that is way better than my parents." Jay said in amazement.
"Lloyd's mother, is my hero?!" Nya asked in pure shock and wide eyes and her jaws dropped.
"Dang Lloyd, your family is full of secrets." Melissa said before she noticed another picture of Lloyd's mom in her Lady Iron Dragon gear fighting alongside two women in Samurai armor with dragon markings on them. "Hey, uhh, Garmadon, who are they?"
"They are the Lady Iron Dragon's partners, the Dragon Warriors." Garmadon answered. "AKA, Rachel and Luci Zhau." He said, which shocked the group even more, way more for Melissa.
"W-W-Wait? What?!" Melissa asked in complete shock. "B-But, those are my moms' names! A-Are you saying that…" She stammered before Lloyd finished it.
"Your moms were heroes of Ninjago as well." Lloyd finished while looking at her in shock.
"Yes." Garmadon nodded. "I remember the first time I laid eyes on Koko with her partners." He started before he had a flashback.
Many years ago, warriors of heroes were combating against the forces of evil while fighting on a fiery battlefield. "It was during a raging war. I was pillaging a peaceful village with my skeleton army, when I spotted this beautiful Warrior Queen from across a crowded battlefield." Present Garmadon said as his past self then turned and looked across the battlefield where he saw the Lady Iron Dragon and her Dragon Warriors, aka Koko, Rachel, and Luci, fighting against the skeletons. "She and her two comrades were fighting for good and looking great doing it. Even as she decimated my evil forces, I couldn't take my eyes off her." Present Garmadon said before Koko then spotted Garmadon, which made her stop when Garmadon gave her a warm smile.
"I was speechless." Present Garmadon said as he dropped the warrior into a lava geyser, which exploded as he and Koko kept looking at each other while Rachel and Luci noticed their expressions as they gave weirded out looks as they took out some skeletons without looking. "I summoned all my courage to approach her. I asked her if she fought here often." Present Garmadon said as his past self repeated it with a smirk while Rachel and Luci aimed their weapons at him just in case he strikes first.
Koko gestured to her two friends to stand down as they lowered their weapons as Koko gave a smirk at Garmadon. "She said, 'I do.'" Present Garmadon continued as the two clashed with smirks while Rachel and Luci looked at each other in surprise before they gave a shrug and small smiles as they kept the skeletons away from the two lovebirds as the battle raged on.
"And let me tell you, La-Loyd." Present Garmadon continued as his past self and Koko got into a stand still as they looked each other in the eyes. "When our eyes met, sparks flew." He continued as his past self brought out more swords as they charged at each other and gave battlecries with smiles.
"It was love at first fight." Present Garmadon continued as his past self and Koko formed a heart shape at each other while Rachel and Luci smiled at the two, loving the sight.
A bit later, Garmadon and Koko were riding on horses with Rachel and Luci right behind them as they fought sides, Koko, Rachel, and Luci fighting evil while Garmadon fought good. "Your mother and I were a true power couple. And with the Dragon Warriors, Rachel and Luci, we made an amazing team. I thought we were gonna conquer the world together." Present Garmadon continued as Rachel and Luci then saw Garmadon and Koko clashing together while Koko made Garmadon fell, which made her gasped in concern before Garmadon gave a laugh as Koko helped him up with the same laughter as the two stood together by the moonlight as they took out their respective enemies while Rachel and Luci gave small giggles from that.
The Ninja were shocked by what Garmadon had explained. "Huh, so I really am like my moms." Melissa commented in shock, never realizing that not only were her moms were one of Ninjago's greatest heroes, but were partners with the legendary Lady Iron Dragon, AKA Lloyd's mother, Koko. "And it also explains why they were okay with me being friends with Lloyd when we were kids."
"Yeah. It really does." Lloyd said in agreement before he realized something as he turned to his father. "Wait a minute. Wait a minute. If you guys were so perfect, then why did you leave us?" He asked, wanting to know why they were separated in the first place.
"It's... Complicated." Garmadon answered with a frown.
Sometime later, Koko, Rachel, Luci, and Garmadon left the battlefield as they looked upon Ninjago City ahead while Garmadon and Koko held each other's hands. "One day, we came upon Ninjago. I told your mother and her friends that I wanted to build our son's future on the ashes of that fine city." Present Garmadon said as his past self then showed Lloyd while holding a bottle of milk as he gave Lloyd a fond smile, which Koko gave as she looked at Garmadon.
"But it was at that moment that your mother realized…" Present Garmadon started before he gave an evil laugh, which made Koko and her two friends frown as they looked at Lloyd. "...that the life of a conquering warlord…" He continued before baby Lloyd gave a similar laughter his father did, which made Koko realize that's not how she wanted her son to be as Luci and Rachel placed hands on their leader's shoulders in comfort. "... was not the life she wanted…" Koko then gently held Lloyd as she gave a sad look to Garmadon before she walked away with their son, which made Garmadon frown. "For you."
Rachel and Luci gave disappointed looks to Garmadon as they followed their leader into the city while Garmadon watched them go as he raised his arms out to his son and wife while looking down in sadness.
The Ninja were all stunned and feeling sad by this story that Garmadon told them. "I could've changed." Garmadon said sadly.
Sometime later at a paper office, Koko was using the copier before Garmadon, who is in disguises as an office worker, held out some papers to Koko as he gave a frown, which when Koko turned, she was stunned to see her husband as she dropped the paper while Garmadon gave a small smile.
Sometime later, Garmadon and Koko were in a restaurant on a date night as she and Garmadon held each other's hands, but then Garmadon placed his other hand on her. Then they rode on Garmadon's motorcycle as they cheered and rode down the road.
Garmadon gives a sad look when he remembers what comes next. "But I didn't." He sadly said as he knew he can't even change his ways while Lloyd gave a sympathetic look.
Past Garmadon continued to watch Koko, Rachel, and Luci, along with baby Lloyd, walking to the boat to leave the battlefield as Garmadon gave a sad look. "And before I knew it… she was gone… And you were gone." He said as he saw Baby Lloyd about to cry while getting farther away from his father while Garmadon watched them go as rain began to fall as he dropped his sword and gave fiery tears.
Garmadon gave a sad look at the memory. "I couldn't change, because I was bitten by a snake that turned me evil." He muttered.
"How could a tiny snake turn you evil?" Melissa asked.
"This snake was no ordinary snake." Garmadon said as he sighed. "While it's true, the snake gave me four arms, and well, you get the point back at the jungle, but the snake's venom can turn even the purest of hearts evil. You can tell how I used to look before I became… this… from the pictures." He said as he gestured to the family wall.
"So… You didn't abandon me and Mom at all?" Lloyd asked in shock.
"No." Garmadon shook his head with a frown. "She left me. But I couldn't blame her. From how I was, she wanted what's best for you, when I couldn't. And from how I thought you were still a baby, well, let's say we haven't stayed in touch all these years. I mean, I did accidentally butt-dialed you that one time, I didn't even know you had a phone, La-Loyd." He explained, much to Lloyd and Melissa's surprise. "Although I do sometimes keep in touch with Rachel and Luci."
"Wait, my moms?" Melissa asked in surprise. "But they hate you to the bone. How could you keep in touch with them?"
"Well, let's just say that while they did hate me, they at least understood why I couldn't change." Garmadon said with a sheepish look. "And sometimes, they along with Wu stopped me from going near the city before you Ninjas came in."
"Guess we now know how Ninjago was still safe at the time." Jay commented while he and the others were surprised by this.
"I haven't talked to them since, well, a few hours ago but the last time I spoke to them was when they and I found a little baby abandoned in a dumpster." Garmadon said much to Melissa's shock. "Now I'm not gonna lie. I may be evil but even I was disgusted by what those people did to that baby."
"That baby… Was me." Melissa muttered in shock, which surprised Garmadon.
"Wait, so that was you?" Garmadon asked in surprise before he inspected Melissa. "Huh, well, you definitely work your way up out of the dumpster."
"My moms found me in the dumpster on the day I was born." Melissa said as she looked down in sadness. "I still think that they just took me in because they felt sorry for me and I feel like I'm just nothing more than a major burden to them." She added which made the others feel sorry for her.
"Well that's not what Rachel and Luci felt when they took you in." Garmadon said with a shrug, which caught Melissa's attention.
"Wait, what did they do?" Melissa asked.
"Well, it all started around some time after they and Koko left me." Garmadon said as he began his back story.
(16 Years Ago)
It was nighttime in Ninjago and right now Rachel and Luci were just walking through the city as they made their way home, but then they felt a presence close by as they gave bored looks, knowing who it was as the shadow figure came up to them before Rachel punched him and Luci side kick him as the figure fell to the ground, revealing to be Garmadon.
"Ow! Okay, you girls still got it." Garmadon muttered while rubbing his face.
"What are you doing here, Garmadon?" Rachel asked with a stern look.
"Shouldn't you be at your dumb volcano?" Luci followed, crossing her arms.
"Easy girls, I just wanted to see how Koko is." Garmadon said with a shrug as he stood up. "I don't suppose you two know where she's at?"
"Yeah, nice try, Garmadon. But even if your love for Koko is strong, your evil side would take over and things might go ugly for you and Koko, and your son." Rachel said with her arms crossed.
"Yeah, fair point." Garmadon said with a shrug.
"But if you must know, they're doing fine." Luci added with a firm look. "Now get out of the city before we ma--" She then stopped when they heard crying sounds. "Wait, do you hear that?"
Rachel and Garmadon heard the crying too as they followed the crying before the three saw two people, a man and a woman, walking out from an alleyway "I hope that little disgusting freak rots." The woman said in disgust.
"Yes, such a disgrace." The man said with a frown as they walked off while the crying was louder, which made Garmadon, Rachel and Luci gave curious and concerned looks before Rachel stepped in and grabbed the man's shoulder. "Can we help you?" He questioned with a rude look.
"What are you two talking about? And what did you two do in the alley? That sounds like a baby crying." Rachel said with a firm look as Luci followed the crying sound.
"It is none of your concern." The woman said with a look. "Now why don't you run along to your business."
Rachel was about to say something until she heard her wife's voice. "Rachel!" Luci called out in a very pissed off voice. "Take a look at what I found in this dumpster." She said with gritted teeth.
Rachel turned and saw Luci coming out of the alley with something. What they saw was a baby wrapped in a purple blanket as it gave crying sounds, which shocked Rachel and surprisingly Garmadon as Rachel turned to the man and woman. "Is this your child?" She questioned.
"Why should you ca--" The woman trailed off when Garmadon stepped in and grabbed the man and woman and glared at them, which spooked them out. "G-Garmadon?!"
"The lady asked you both a question." Garmadon said with a firm look. "Is this your kid?"
The two adults looked at each other nervously as they then nodded their heads frantically, much to the disgust of the two girls and Garmadon as Rachel walked up to Luci as they looked at the baby, who was still crying as she gently place a hand on it's cheeks, which made the baby stop crying and open its eyes and looked at her before giggling as Rachel smiled before glaring at the two adults.
"Why would you throw away such an adorable child?" Rachel questioned with a glare.
"Oh please, that little girl isn't what we wanted. She's garbage." The man scoffed.
Both Rachel and Luci instantly turned their heads to the two adults with rageful intense glares. "What did you just say?" Both women asked with a very dangerous tone.
Garmadon realized what was gonna happen. "Oh, you shouldn't have said that." He said with a cringed look as he put the two adults down. "You two are in for it." He said as he stepped aside while watching. "Because this is gonna be good." He added with a look.
Luci then gave Garmadon the baby girl as she gave him a hard look. "Leave with her and you'll get a much worse treatment when we're through with them." She warned while gesturing to the two frightened adults.
"You got it." Garmadon said with his free hands up as Rachel and Luci walked up to the two adults.
"Uh, w-what are you gonna do to us?" The woman asked fearfully as she and the man clutched each other while Rachel and Luci cracked their knuckles.
"A little lesson we like to call…" Luci started as she and Rachel raised their fists.
"Being a proper parent." Rachel finished before she and Luci threw their fists at the two adults, which Garmadon watched as he cringed when the two adults screamed in pain.
"Oooh, I never thought I would see that move again." Garmadon cringed while covering the baby's eyes as Rachel and Luci duke it out with the two adults.
After a few minutes, the two adults were on the ground groaning in pain while looking at Luci and Rachel in fear. "W-Who… who are you two?" the man asked in fear and pain.
"Just old timers who care for animals and children." Rachel said as she took the baby from Garmadon.
"And you two have no right to toss them aside like garbage." Luci added with a look.
"Yeah, I gotta be real. That's just low to do to a newborn baby, even for my standards." Garmadon said with a shrug. "I may be evil but even I have limits."
"Wait, what?!" Rachel and Luci exclaimed in shock.
"How old is this baby?" Rachel asked, looking at the little baby.
"From the looks of it she was born over 7 hours ago." Garmadon said after inspecting the baby, which shocked the two as they turned to the adults with more hate.
"You were gonna throw away a newborn like something to throw in the trash?!" Luci exclaimed with a dangerous look.
"How could you do such a thing, you heartless people?!" Rachel questioned while holding the baby close.
"W-We just… we don't want a girl. W-W-W-W--" The man tried to say but he and the woman looked on in fear.
But before Rachel and Luci could do anything, police sirens were heard. "Oh, I gotta roll before the cops see me." Garmadon said as he jumped away. "See ya." He said before he was out of sight.
The police then stopped in front of them as the Police Commissioner stepped out of the car and saw Rachel and Luci standing over the beaten up couple. "What is happening here?" The Commissioner questioned.
"We have some words." Rachel said while she and Luci glared at the two frightened adults.
A bit later, the two adults were taken away while Rachel and Luci explained everything to the Commissioner as he wrote it down on his notes. "And I thought Garmadon was evil." The Commissioner said, shaking his head before turning to the two women. "Thanks for letting us know what these two did."
"It was no problem Commissioner." Rachel said.
"Well I better take that little one off your hands and take her to a nearby orphanage and hopefully she'll find a good home and family." The Commissioner said as he laid out his hands to take the baby.
Rachel and Luci looked at each other before looking at the baby, who was giggling in Rachel's arm as they gave warm smiles at her before Luci spoke up. "Actually, Commissioner, is it okay if we keep the child with us?" She asked.
"We wouldn't mind raising a child and sharing the love with her." Rachel added while looking at the baby, who kept giggling. "After all, me and Luci always talked about starting a Family."
"So, it would be great for us to adopt this little cutie and give her a better life." Luci said while rubbing the baby's cheeks.
The Commissioner looked at them and saw how happy the baby was before he gave a smile. "Well, I can't say no to a cute face." He said, which made the two girls smile. "So, what are you gonna name her? Because we heard from her quote unquote 'parents' that they never gave her a name at least. So I guess you two could."
Rachel and Luci looked at the giggling baby before they gave a warm smile. "Melissa… We will name her Melissa Zhau." Rachel said with a smile as Luci smiled warmly.
From the rooftop, Garmadon saw the whole thing as he gave a tearful smile. "So… So heart wrenching… I think that's what it meant? Eh, who cares." He said with a shrug. "Better get back to my volcanic lair." He said before he then moved out of the city and back to his island.
"And since then, that was the last I heard of them and the baby." Garmadon said with a shrug as he looked at Melissa. "Which I can tell, they've raised you well."
Melissa looked surprised hearing that story before she wiped a tear that was going down her eyes. "So, my moms really do love me, I am such an idiot for thinking they didn't." She said as she covered her eyes.
"Melissa, it wasn't your fault. You didn't know." Lloyd assured as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "I mean, take it from me. My life was already rough, but your birth parents were gonna toss you aside, but your true family is with Luci and Rachel. They care for you then how your birth parents didn't even bat an eye at a newborn."
"I really should talk to them when this is all over." Melissa said, seeing she's gonna talk to her mothers when this mission is over.
"Yeah, same." Lloyd said as Garmadon gave a thought as he spoke up again.
"La-Loyd, your mom was the best." Garmadon said as Lloyd turned to him. "She expected the best of me, and only ever wanted the best for you." He said as they all turned to the family picture of the Garmadon family with Koko, Garmadon, and Lloyd together, the only picture of their family together.
Lloyd and Garmadon looked at the picture together. "I never should have let you go." Garmadon said sadly to his son, who gave a heartfelt smile while Melissa smiled at the two.
"Lloyd! Melissa! We found the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon!" The others called out as the three walked up to where the others were.
"Here, in the bedroom!" Zane said as they entered the bedroom.
"We think it's in that box." Jay said while gesturing to the box.
"Open it, open it, open it!" Nya said excitedly as she hopped up and down as Garmadon opened the box as a chest was in it as Garmadon opened it as it showed some pieces inside.
"Woah!" The Ninja said in surprise.
"What a bunch of junk." Nya commented.
"Maybe there's something important under it." Jay said as they moved the pieces out, which they tossed the pieces out, which showed seven pieces, Fire, Earth, Ice, Lightning, Water, and two pieces that are shaped in an arc formation of two Dragons, one is Green and the other is Purple, while the green piece have three holes, the purple piece have two.
"This is the Ultimate Ultimate Disappointment." Jay said with a frown.
"Correct." Zane nodded before Melissa and Lloyd noticed something.
"No, wait, guys. These pieces are familiar." Melissa said as she picked up the earth piece while Lloyd picked up the fire piece.
"Melissa's right. There's a piece for each of our Elements." Lloyd said as he gave the fire piece to Kai. "Fire." He said as Kai held the piece, which started glowing and spinning in his hand.
"Whoa" Kai said in amazement.
"And Earth." Melissa said as she gave the piece of Earth to Cole, which glowed next.
"This rocks!" Cole said in awed.
"And Water." Lloyd said next as he gave the water piece to Nya.
"H2-Oh yeah!" Nya cheered.
"And Ice." Melissa said as she gave the ice piece to Zane.
"Cool." Zane said naturally with a smile at his piece.
"And Lightning." Lloyd said as he gave Jay the lightning piece, which sparks up.
"Ah!" Jay exclaimed in awed.
"And I'm… the Green Yang." Lloyd said sadly as he held up his Green Dragon piece.
"And I'm the Purple Yin." Melissa said in disappointment as she looked at her Purple Dragon piece.
"But we're so happy for you guys." Lloyd stammered with a forced smile.
"Yay." Melissa said with a strained smile before leaning towards Lloyd. "Why does the universe hate us?" She whispered.
"I have no idea." Lloyd shrugged helplessly.
After finding the weapon they needed, they walked out of the bedroom while the Ninjas put the pieces back in the chest while Lloyd carried the chest. "You know, La-Loyd, after spending all this time with you, seeing the amazing Ninja Warrior you've become…" Garmadon started as he walked beside his son.
"Yeah?" Lloyd asked with a smile.
"You know, I realize that we don't need to fight each other." Garmadon said with a smile, which got Lloyd's attention. "When we can work alongside each other."
"Really?" Lloyd asked with a hopeful smile.
"Yeah." Garmadon nodded with a smile. "La-Loyd, will you go back to Ninjago with me as father…" He started off, which made Lloyd give a hopeful gasp. "...and General Number One?"
"W-What? You're… General Number One?" Lloyd asked in complete shock.
"Exactly!" Garmadon said with a wide smile with a small laugh.
"But… But you just said how you regretted letting me go." Lloyd said to him.
"Because you make the perfect General Number One!" Garmadon said with a wide smile. "We're an amazing team, La-Loyd. You, me, the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon. We'd be unstoppable."
"No, I don't wanna be your General Number One." Lloyd said with a hurtful look.
"But just imagine it. We can rule Ninjago, together." Garmadon said with a smile. "Come with me, La-Loyd. We have so much lost time to make up for! And since I'll no longer be attacking the city, no one will hate you anymore. And I'll never forget your Birthday again because we'll celebrate your Birthday everyday! And think of all the things I could teach you. Tie a tie, ride a bike, conquer a city." He listed out while Lloyd gave a disbelief look at his father as Garmadon held one end of the chest and held it. "And if we leave now, we can unleash the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon on Meowthra and conquer Ninjago together. Come on!"
"Dad, please don't." Lloyd sadly said to his father as Garmadon bumped into Cole, making him move away from him. "Come back to Ninjago with me and save the city." He begged.
"What?" Garmadon asked before he saw Nya blocking his way.
"You'd be a hero." Lloyd said to him.
"But that's not who I am, La-Loyd." Garmadon said to him. "People would never see me as a hero." He said as the Ninja walked behind Lloyd.
"But it doesn't have to be this way." Lloyd said to him as Garmadon kept backing away. "This is your chance to make a change."
"I didn't want it to be this way either, but yet here we are." Garmadon said with a frown.
"Dad, please, don't go." Lloyd begged.
"I couldn't change then, what makes you think I could change now?" Garmadon asked as the Ninja surrounded him before he used the chest to knock Zane and Cole back.
"No, no, no, no, no!." Lloyd said as the others then tried to grab Garmadon but he kept knocking them back.
"Back off!" Garmadon yelled.
"No way!" Nya called out before Garmadon kicked her away.
"Hey, that's my sister!" Kai shouted as he jumped up and flipped onto Garmadon's face.
"Hey, get off my face!" Garmadon shouted before Kai flipped him down.
"Bam!" Kai called with a smirk.
"You dirty double crossing charlatan!" Melissa said in anger as she snatched the chest. "I got it!" She said as she rushed off.
"Give that back!" Garmadon yelled as he threw a furniture piece to Melissa, knocking her down as she gave a startled yelp as she fell to the floor as Lloyd grabbed the chest.
"I can help you. We can do it together." Lloyd said to his father.
"Just give me the box, we can talk about this!" Garmadon said after he avoided Kai and rushed towards Lloyd.
"I can't. You'll just leave." Lloyd said as he threw the box before Garmadon spider crawled towards him and swipe kick Lloyd down.
"I got it!" Nya called as she grabbed the chest.
"Look out!" Zane called out as Garmadon went towards her as Nya avoided a punch.
"Cole!" Nya called as she tossed the chest to Cole.
"Gotcha!" Cole said as he avoided Garmadon's attack. "Nice try." He said before tossing the chest to Zane.
"We're like the Harlem Globetrotters." Zane commented as Garmadon tried to grab the chest as Zane tossed it Kai, which Garmadon kicked it up.
"Hey!" Kai exclaimed before Melissa jumped over and grabbed the chest.
"Over here, over here!" Lloyd called out as Melissa turned and saw Lloyd with his arms out.
"Lloyd, catch it!" Melissa called out as she tossed the chest to Lloyd.
"Run, Lloyd! Run!" Kai screamed as Lloyd followed the chest for him to catch it.
"I got it! I got it! I got it!" Lloyd called out as he tried to grab the chest, but he clumsily missed as it went over him and Lloyd fell to the ground.
"Predictable yet regrettable." Zane commented as the Ninja groaned.
"Bummer." Nya commented.
"Forgot that Lloyd didn't know how to catch." Melissa said as she facepalmed herself.
"Oh, La-Loyd." Garmadon shook his head with a frown before he slid on the floor, kicking the others down as he grabbed the chest and ran out to the door.
"Dad!" Lloyd cried out with his arm out as Garmadon made it to the door before giving a sad look.
"I should have taught you how to catch." Garmadon said as he brought out the key closed the door before Lloyd could reach him.
"No!" Lloyd cried out as Garmadon locked the door as Lloyd looked down sadly.
Outside when the sun came up, Garmadon rushed down the stairs and went to the helicopter and quickly took to the air, causing the mountain to break apart after the helicopter was removed as Garmadon took to the air with a sad look. "So long, La-Loyd." He said as he put the helicopter at high speed and took off while the temple began to crumble.
Inside the temple, the Ninja began to scream as the whole place was coming apart. "Get outta the way! This whole thing is coming down!" Jay cried out in panic as he ducked and covered.
"What are we gonna do?! We don't have those pieces!" Cole called out.
"Yeah, and we don't even have our mechs!" Kai called out as he avoided the debris.
"We're doomed!" Cole called as he, Zane, and Kai huddled together.
"Oh, no! We're gonna die!" Kai cried out.
"What do we do?!" Cole cried out.
"Our chances of survival are 0.00…." Zane's voice was then echoed before Melissa and Lloyd then remembered what Wu just told them.
"Stay on the right path to find your inner peace!" Wu cried out before he was washed away from the current.
Lloyd and Melissa looked at each other as they then remembered something else.
"Did he say inner peace?" Nya asked after she and the others watched Wu get washed away.
Melissa and Lloyd looked at the others, who were huddling close in fear while the temple collapsed even more. "The power is inside you." Wu's voice echoed in the Ninjas of Yin and Yang minds as they then pictured their friends with the Elemental Pieces.
"Inner peace?" Melissa muttered before she and Lloyd remembered the pieces that represent their elements as they stood up.
"Inner peace! Inner peace!" Lloyd said in realization as Melissa followed along as her eyes widened.
"Oh my Spinjitzu! It was right in front of us!" Melissa called as she and Lloyd stood up.
"Guys! Guys! We don't need those pieces!" Lloyd called out to them. "The Ultimate Ultimate Weapon is inside of us!" He said to them,
"What?" Both Nya and Jay asked in confusion.
"Yes, we have the power." Melissa said to them. "Look within. Harness what you already have inside and let it out. Lloyd and I believe in each of you." She then turns to Nya. "Nya, you can create Water."
"Jay, you can make Lightning!" Lloyd told the Blue Ninja before turning to Kai. "Kai, you can make Fire."
"Okay. Alright. I can make a Fire." Kai said as he stood up and rubbed his hands.
"Not the kind of fire you make." Melissa said to him. "The power is inside all of you." She said as the Ninja stood up and started doing their Spinjitzu techniques.
"Now, calm your mind. Concentrate." Lloyd said to them.
"Build up your powers." Melissa said with an encouraging smile. "Just think about Earth…"
"Fire…" Lloyd said next.
"Water…" Melissa said next.
"Ice! And you Jay, Lightning baby, do it!" Lloyd encouraged the Lightning Ninja.
"Come on, Jay! You got the power!" Melissa shouted out.
"Say I got the power!" Both Lloyd and Melissa shouted as Jay gave a yell as he spun around and started producing electricity.
"I've got the power!" Jay shouted with a determined look as he blasted lightning at the door, destroying it as the Ninja rushed out.
The Ninja then saw the top part of the temple coming down at them as Cole did a spin kick while in a handstand. "I've got the power!" Cole shouted before he clapped his hands together, creating a shockwave that sent the top part away from them.
"Good work, Cole!" Melissa complimented.
"Go! Go! Go!" Lloyd called as they ran down the stairs, but the top part destroyed the stairs they were gonna use.
"I've got the power!" Nya called as she shot water blasts from her hands.
"I too, have the power." Zane said as he shot ice from his feet as he and Nya combined their shots and made a waterslide.
"Here we go. Come on, hurry up." Nya said as they carefully slid down to the lower stairs still intact before the dragon head from the right statue came off.
"What now?" Jay questioned as the head was heading towards them.
"Kai, your turn." Lloyd said to the Fire Ninja.
"Got it." Kai said as he turned and faced the dragon head. "I've got the power!" He called as he shot a fireball at the head, but it just lit up in flames as Kai panicked. "I think I've made it worse!" He cried out as he ran up to the others as the head rolled after them.
"How do we get out of this?!" Melissa cried out in worry as they tried to escape the head.
"Jump, Lloyd. Jump." Wu's voice echoed in Lloyd's head.
"Master Wu?" Lloyd asked as he shook his head. "Guys, I can hear the dead, and Master Wu says to jump!" He called out as they all jumped off the cliff, which they all screamed as they went over the edge.
But the scream stopped after a second as coming from below the clouds was the Ninja's ship, the Destiny's Bounty, fully repaired and caught the Ninja as they flew up.
"Great jump, students." Wu said through a megaphone as he was on the bridge.
The Ninja gasped when they saw their Master. "Master Wu!" They all cheered in relief.
"You're alive!" Lloyd cheered in joy at seeing his uncle.
"Of course. I'm a Ninja Master." Wu said with a smile as he kept his hands on the wheel. "Who lives life on the edge and cheats death at every turn."
"Wow!" The Ninja said in amazement.
"Really?" Nya asked.
"No." Wu answered with a dull look. "I thought being dead would make you listen to me more. And I was right." He said as he tipped his straw hat with a smile.
"Master Wu, we found our Elemental Powers." Jay said with a smile.
"All because Lloyd and Melissa wouldn't give up on our training." Cole added as he gestured to Lloyd and Melissa, who gave sheepish smiles as Nya wrapped her arms around the two.
"Lloyd and Melissa saved us." Nya said to Wu.
"They also decoded your needlessly cryptic metaphors." Zane said naturally.
"Lloyd, Melissa, I am proud of you both." Wu said with a proud look. "You both help your friends be great. And that makes you two truly Ninja Masters." He said as Lloyd and Melissa smiled at him as they smiled at each other from the praise Wu just said. "Now, let's go save the city from the giant kitty." He said with a determined look as the Ninja cheered in agreement as they flew towards their way back to Ninjago City to save it from both Garmadon's forces and Meowthra.
A/N: And that is Chapter 8, and it looks like we now know about Garmadon and Koko's history and to how Rachel and Luci found Melissa, but, uh oh it looks like Garmadon has double crossed The Ninja and now The Ninja have to take down both Garmadon and Meowthra.
