The Final Fight
In Ninjago City, the people, including Garmadon's forces, all screamed while Meowthra's meowing was heard as a building tumbled. "This cat is destroying everything!" A citizen yelled out in panic.
"Where are the Ninjas when we need them?" A woman asked as she and many others entered some boats.
"We have to evacuate!" Another man shouted as they began to enter the boats and sail off to the ocean to get some distance from Meowthra while Garmadon forces tried to keep him at bay.
"Run! Run!" Another woman shouted before Garmadon came in while flying on the helicopter.
"Hey, Ninjago, Garmadon's back!" Garmadon called out as he tossed his straw hat away and put on his lord helmet. "Generals, stop anyone that gets in my way." He ordered his Generals on the ground.
"Yes, sir." A General said with a salute as Garmadon flew by them.
In another part of the city, the Destiny's Bounty then flew over the city before a Shark General saw it. "Whoa! It's the Destiny's Bounty. I've always wanted to shoot at it." He said with a smirk as he turned to his troops. "Attack!"
"Alpha team, on it!" The Alpha General called as she and her Generals were on their jets and took to the sky as they flew towards the Bounty.
On the Bounty, the Ninja gave serious looks as they flew through the city. "We have company! Hold on tight!" Wu called as he moved the Bounty around, which made the Ninja give startled yells as they flew towards another direction while Alpha Team flew after them, but then they lost it.
"Hey, where'd they go?" A troop asked as they saw the Bounty was gone, not noticing it was hanging upside down under the highway.
"Alright, Ninjas, follow me!" Lloyd called as they then jumped off the Bounty.
"NINJA, GO!" The Ninja called out as they put on their masks and landed on the road in perfect stances.
"Nya, we need to get to Garmadon and that cat fast." Lloyd instructed the Water Ninja.
"You got it." Nya said as the team rushed off.
"Alright guys, let's take these Generals down." Melissa said with determination.
With Garmadon, he landed the copter as he brought out the chest while facing Meowthra. "Alright, you beast. Get ready to feel the wrath of the Ultimate Ultimate Weapon." Garmadon said with an evil smirk as he held up four pieces, Fire, Water, Lightning, and Ice as he faced the giant cat with a look.
The Ninja ran down the road before they saw the alpha team heading towards them. "Here they come!" Lloyd called out.
"Come on! Let's go!" Nya called as she and the others jumped down.
"Follow Nya!" Melissa called out as the Ninja jumped into a river, which Nya can stand on thanks to her powers as the Ninja are in a stance to keep balance while Wu used his straw hat and staff to swim beside them as they moved across the river.
Back with Garmadon, Meowthra gave him a meow as Garmadon gave an evil laugh. "Take that!" He called as he threw the fire piece at him, which bounced off the cat's face as Garmadon looked stunned by this. "What?" He muttered.
The Ninja jumped out of the river and onto a bridge as they saw a battalion of Garmadon's forces in their way. "Zane, freeze these guys out." Melissa said to the Ice Ninja.
"Copy" Zane nodded as he twirled around and jumped up as he shot ice from his feet and hands as he created an ice wall.
"Kai, make a smoke screen." Lloyd said to the Fire Ninja.
"Yeah, baby! Fu-Fu-Fuego!" Kai called as he jumped up and shot some flames, melting the ice and creating a smoke screen
"Where are they?" One General asked.
"I can't see them anywhere." Another General said as the Ninja snuck past them through the smoke screen.
Back with Garmadon, he gave a nervous look to Meowthra as he held up the Lightning piece. "Okay. Well, how about this? Hyah!" He yelled as he threw the piece at Meowthra, which bounced back. "These things aren't working."
On the path to Garmadon, the Ninja are fighting off Garmadon forces. "Jay, now's your chance, buddy." Lloyd said to him.
"Roger that!" Jay said as he rushed off and summoned some electricity as he gave a yell and jumped high, taking out a squad of Garmadon's fighters as they broke apart and fell to the ground.
Cole jumped onto the road as he saw himself surrounded by Garmadon's forces and mechs. "Let's rock!" He called as he did a handstand and spun around before he jumped up with his fist raised before he slammed down into the ground, creating a shockwave that knocked away Garmadon's forces as the Ninja came together while cheering that they're winning.
"Hey, cat, ba-back off!" Garmadon called out, which made the Ninja turn and saw him facing Meowthra. "I'm Garmadon, baby! I'm the greatest warlord in all--" He then screamed when Meowthra snarled and swallowed Garmadon whole. "Somebody help me!"
"Dad?" Lloyd asked in shock, as were the other Ninjas as they rushed up to Meowthra.
"Please!" Garmadon yelled out while inside of Meowthra's stomach as the Ninja jumped down before everyone in Ninjago was behind them as they cheered for their heroes.
"Go, Ninjas, Go!" A woman yelled out.
"Hip-hip hooray!" Chad cheered with props waving. "The cat ate Garmadon!"
"Now all they have to do is take out the cat and Ninjago is saved!" A man cheered.
"Get him!" A man shouted.
"Take out that monster!" A woman shouted while Wu gave a sad look to what happened to his brother, while Lloyd saw his uncle's face.
"Blast that cat with your awesome hand powers!" Another woman called out.
"La-Loyd! Please help me!" Garmadon yelled out from Meowthra's belly.
"Oh, I can use my fire. But is that too much?" Kai asked.
"Or I can blast it with my water." Nya suggested. "Cats hate water."
Melissa turned to Lloyd, as the two looked at each other uncertainty as they turned to Wu. "You were right, Master Wu." Lloyd said to him. "I need to walk the path that only the son of Garmadon can walk."
"And the path the Ninjas of Yin and Yang can walk." Melissa finished as Wu gave them a nod as Lloyd and Melissa took a step forward before taking off their masks, which made everyone gasped in shock by seeing Lloyd and Melissa's identities.
"Oh, my gosh!" Chad said in shock. "The Ninjas of Yin and Yang are Lloyd Garmadon and Melissa Zhau?" He asked in shock as Koko, Rachel, and Luci came in from the crowd.
"Lloyd!" Koko cried out.
"Melissa!" Both Rachel and Luci cried as well.
"All we have to do is scare off Meowthra and we've won." Jay suggested as Lloyd took a breather.
"No." Lloyd said.
"What?!" Jay asked in shock.
"Stand down guys, we got this." Melissa said as she and Lloyd walked closer to the cat.
"Uh, Lloyd, Melissa, where are you two going? Kai asked as Melissa and Lloyd step closer to Meowthra.
"Lloyd? Melissa? Come back." Zane said as Meowthra started purring while the people started chatting from the shock.
"Here, kitty, kitty, kitty." Lloyd said to the cat.
"It's okay little, very big girl, we're not gonna hurt you." Melissa promised softly with their arms out as Melissa made soft whistles to it and clicked her tongue as Meowthra gave a purr and carefully pawed close to the two.
"Yeah, come here." Lloyd said softly to it.
"Lloyd! No!" Koko cried out.
"Melissa, don't get too close!" Rachel said as she and Luci panicked before Wu stopped them.
"It's okay. They've got this." Wu assured them as the three mothers watched in worry.
"That's a good kitty." Melissa said as the cat got closer. "You're okay. Yeah, you're okay." She added as she raised her hand, which Meowthra gave a soft purr and exhaled through her nose, which made a small wind that blew their hairs back as Melissa continued. "Yeah, yeah, that's a good girl." She said as she slowly placed her hand on Meowthra's nose. "What a sweet, sweet, kitty." She whispered as she held Meowthra's nose. "Everything's gonna be just fine. Hey, we know it. You didn't mean to destroy everything. And Lloyd can understand that too." She said as she turned to Lloyd and nodded to him, who nodded as well as the crowd kept watching.
Lloyd took a breather as he spoke. "When, uh… When people look at you, they see a monster." He said sadly as Melissa kept petting Meowthra, who kept giving purrs. "But, I know that you just feel scared and alone." He said as Garmadon listened while inside Meowthra's gut. "I know how that feels. To be judged unfairly." He said with a sad look.
The people of Ninjago all listened as they all felt guilty since Lloyd was referring to how they treated him because of what his father had done as they did judge him unfairly after all these years when Lloyd was the one who was protecting them from his own father.
"So, um… I just wanna say that I forgive you." Lloyd said as Garmadon gave a heartfelt look when his son spoke up. "And…" He stopped as he took a small breath. "I'm sorry." He said with a sigh. "When I said, 'I wish you weren't my father', I didn't really mean it." He said as Garmadon felt even more touched by his son's words. "What I… What I should've said is…" He then sobbed softly as Melissa gave a sympathetic look to her best friend. "I wish we didn't fight all of the time."
Koko listened as she gave a sympathetic and tearful look while Rachel and Luci placed comforting hands on their old leader's shoulders as Lloyd continued. "I wish I could've spent more time with you." Lloyd stammered as Garmadon continued to hear his son's words. "And that you could've seen, like, everything I've been through, but you weren't there. I wish we could get that time back, and…" Lloyd began to tear up as he sobbed softly as Melissa separated from Meowthra and gave Lloyd a comforting hug as Lloyd continued. "I need my dad. I just… I need my dad." He finished as Lloyd returned the hug to Melissa.
Garmadon was so touched by his son's words as he felt really bad for not being there for his son and let his evil ways get the best of him as Garmadon shed a flaming tear before a drop of it spilled off and into Meowthra's stomach.
Just then, Meowthra began to gag and spasm around as Lloyd and Melissa gasped and yelped before Meowthra then coughed out Garmadon, which he rolled on the ground. "Oh! Whoa! Whoa!" Garmadon yelped as he was tossed to the ground.
"Dad!" Lloyd said as he rushed up to his father while Melissa watched in surprise by what happened. "Are… Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Garmadon answered as he rubbed his face.
"You're alive!" Lloyd cheered as he hugged his father in joy with chuckles.
"Son… did you mean all that stuff you said… to the cat?" Garmadon asked as Lloyd gave a chuckle.
"Every word." Lloyd said with a smile.
"Well, I know for a fact that the cat feels exactly the same way." Garmadon said as he sniffled.
"Garmadon, are you crying?" Melissa asked with a chuckle.
"No!" Garmadon said tearfully as some flame tears came out of him. "It's just that I'm kind of allergic to cats." He lied as he started sobbing as Lloyd helped his father up.
"Lloyd!/Melissa!" Koko, Rachel and Luci called out as the three mothers hugged their respective kids.
"Mom!/Mothers!" Both Lloyd and Melissa said with small laughs as they returned the hug.
"Let me look at you. Let me look at you." Koko said as she inspected Lloyd. "Are you hurt? Let me see your fingers and toes." She said as she inspected Lloyd's hands and removed Lloyd's legs as she inspected the feet. "Okay, you still don't have fingers and toes. That's good." She said as she held her son.
"Let us see. Let us see, dear." Rachel said as she and Luci inspected Melissa as Luci checked her hands while Rachel checked her legs.
"Okay, same here. No fingers and toes." Luci said in relief as Rachel put Melissa's legs back in place.
"Is everything okay?" Koko asked.
"I'm… I'm fine. We're fine." Lloyd assured them.
"We're good." Melissa said to them.
"Kids, we were so worried about you both." Rachel said to them.
"We're, uh… we're sorry." Melissa said with a sheepish look.
"It's okay. We're just, we're just so happy you're both alright." Luci said with a relieved smile.
"No, Mom, Rachel, Luci, we're really sorry." Lloyd said with a guilt look, which Melissa shared as the mothers looked at them. "Mom, I took you for granted. All you ever did was support me. The real me. The person I am on the inside." He said as Koko gave a heartfelt look.
"And I'm sorry for… Thinking you two don't love me." Melissa said to her two mothers. "When you two told me of how you found and adopted me… I always thought that you two took me in out of pity. But you both loved me and cared for me then my birth parents, that I thought I was just a pity and a burden to you, but you both truly do care for me and loved me with all your hearts." She said as Rachel and Luci felt touched by it as well.
"Oh." Koko said as she, Rachel, and Luci shared a hug with their respective child.
"We're really sorry." Lloyd said softly.
"We love you so much, kids." Koko said as she hugged her son tightly.
"More than anything in Ninjago." Rachel said as she and Luci hugged Melissa.
"We love you too." Melissa said as the two groups shared a warm hug.
"Bring it in, let's hug this out." Garmadon said as he was about to join in on the hug, but Rachel, Luci, and Koko pushed him back. "Okay. That's cool. Uh…" He then went into a hug position with his four arms. "I found two people to hug me over here." He said as the group broke the hug.
"Now can you two explain to us why you didn't tell us you were The Ninjas of Yin and Yang?" Rachel asked with a look.
"Probably the same reason why you three didn't tell us that you were Lady Iron Dragon and The Dragon Warriors." Melissa said with a smirk, which made the three women flinch back.
"H-How did you two--" Luci tried to say.
"Our journey sorta opens up some more secrets in this family." Lloyd said with a sheepish look.
"That and he told us." Melissa said, pointing at Garmadon.
Garmadon stopped his fake hug as he gave a sheepish look when Koko, Rachel, and Luci gave looks. "Uh, what? They saw the pictures. So I had to tell them." He said with a sheepish smile.
"Okay, you got a point." Rachel said with a sigh.
"I guess secrets runs in the family, huh?" Koko asked as the group all shared a small laugh.
"Both of our families." Melissa said as Wu approached them.
"Uncle Wu, we finally know why you wanted me and Melissa to become the Ninjas of Purple Yin and Green Yang." Lloyd said to his uncle.
"Oh, you do?" Wu asked with a smile.
"Yeah." Lloyd said with a smile while Melissa nodded as they thought back to the forest and their friends training. "Green is the color of life. It flows through all living things."
"And Purple, while Purple may represent destruction, it's also the second half of Green, Light and Darkness. They connect." Melissa said as she and Lloyd pictured the Elemental Pieces, now seeing them come together as the Purple and Green Dragons combined together into a perfect Yin-Yang symbol while the elemental pieces connected to their spots.
"The way we connect the Ninjas." Lloyd said as they remembered them playing video games at the warehouse, having a good time before Wu appeared behind them, making them gasp as they quickly took out training books and read them.
"Or the way we connect to our families." Melissa said as they then pictured their family together. "Whether we're together or not."
Wu gave a proud look to his two students. "Some powers are ones you cannot see, but those are the most important powers of all." He wisely said to them as Lloyd and Melissa smiled as their family stood together as Wu then faced forward, as if he was facing the viewers. "Lloyd and Melissa were heroes."
"Who are you talking to?" Garmadon asked his brother in confusion as Wu began to float away, much to their surprise.
"They saved Garmadon and they saved their family." Wu continued.
"We're standing right here." Garmadon pointed out.
"And the whole city of Ninjago." Wu said as he got further away.
"Where are you going?" Garmadon spoke up.
"They even made Meowthra their new mascot." Wu said as he gestured to Mewothra, who was lying on her back.
"She's so fluffy!" A man said. "I love her."
"Wu! Come back!" Garmadon called out.
A bit later, Koko, Rachel, Luci, who are back into their old suits, are with Nya, Lloyd, and Melissa in the jungle. "Koko, Rachel, Luci, and Nya opened a school to teach former Shark Generals life skills." Wu said as the group were teaching the Fired Generals some life skills as they followed their movements.
Sometime later, the Garmadon family are in a restaurant later, since it was Lloyd's 17th birthday as the family were in the restaurant together while Garmadon talked to the chef while Koko and Lloyd are at the table with Lloyd's birthday cake. "And Garmadon taught Lloyd something very important." Wu continued as Garmadon picked up some bowls.
"Hey, catch!" Garmadon called as he threw the bowls to Lloyd, who caught them all as he gave a smile as his mother clapped proudly as Garmadon came to them while giving his son a proud smile.
"And Lloyd taught everyone that even if you're different, you can still do great things." Wu finished with a proud smile.
Sometime later, Melissa and Lloyd were then walking by the fishing area at night with the moon shining. "A lot has happened this past year, hasn't it?" Lloyd asked with a smile.
"Other than your father giving up to take over Ninjago, revealing our identities to everyone, and people started seeing you as a hero, not only in your mask, then yes." Melissa said with a smile. "Things have happened this past year, which is good for everyone."
"By the way, how's your gigantic cat friend doing?" Lloyd asked with a chuckle.
Melissa gave a giggle. "Oh, Meowthra is doing fine. It took a bit of time to find her a proper place to live in, but she is being adored by all the people of Ninjago. Even if she caused the damage last year, they don't blame her. Like you." She said with a smile.
"Yeah, it feels good that people are no longer treating me like garbage." Lloyd said with a smile as they walked up to a bridge over the river.
"Well, getting the city attacked by both Garmadon and Meowthra, and revealing your identity to the people, they can see the error of their judgements and give second chances." Melissa said with a smile. "And now your family are no longer outcasts."
"Yeah." Lloyd said with a smile as he and Melissa were now in an awkward silence as Lloyd spoke, "Melissa, back at the temple where we found the pieces, what you said to me, you knew I had a crush on you?" He asked, which made Melissa blushed a bit.
"Well… Like I said, you aren't good at keeping your emotions hidden." Melissa said with a small smile, while Lloyd gave a sheepish smile from that. "And I thought I would give you some space and wait for you to find the courage to confess to me, but things sorta happened in a weird way like with the journey, the giant cat, learning more about your past… you get the point."
"Yeah, it was a pretty awkward moment at that time." Lloyd said with a small chuckle. "But, I gotta ask, if you knew I had a crush on you, you think… you have a crush on me?" He asked, which made Melissa stiff up with a blush on her cheeks while she played with her hair.
"Uhh… well…" Melissa stammered before she sighed. "Okay, the truth is, I do have a crush on you Lloyd, way before we became Ninjas." She admitted, which surprised Lloyd. "Remember when Chad was being a jerk towards me in the first week of High School?"
"Y-Yeah." Lloyd said with a nod. "I remember that day."
"And… Remember what you did afterwards and… what you said?" Melissa asked with a blush.
"Y-Yeah." Lloyd said with a sheepish smile. "When they think your birth parents just threw you out and Rachel and Luci only took pity on you and that you were a burden to them, which the last part was wrong, but I couldn't just let them say that to you." He said to her as he turned to face her. "It's one thing for the people to judge me but to judge my closest friends, that was crossing a line, even for me."
Melissa gave a warm smile from that memory. "Well, it was after that, I was developing feelings for you for standing up for me, kinda like how we first met when I stood up to you." She said, which Lloyd nodded with the same expression. "I was finding the right moment to confess, but with the whole saving Ninjago, your dad, Meowthra, and the whole journey while the city was misjudging you, I knew it wasn't the right moment to even ask with all that has happened last year."
"Y-Yeah, that time was a bit rough and it would've been awkward." Lloyd said as the two looked out to the river as the stars and moonlight shines above them. "But, you think this is the right moment?"
Melissa was silent for a moment before she gave a smile. "Yeah, I think it is." She said as she turned to Lloyd, "But, why don't you confess first? Since you were the first to have a crush on me."
Lloyd gave a sheepish chuckle. "How can you tell?" He asked sheepishly.
"Your body language gave it away." Melissa said with a warm smile. "So, Lloyd, what do you have to say?" She asked.
Lloyd then took a deep breath before looking at Melissa in the eyes. "Melissa, I just wanted to say that since the first time we met, you were there for me when I was down and felt like an outcast to everyone in Ninjago, and you have always been by my side as more than a friend, more than a partner, you always have my back when I needed the most, and no matter what mistakes I made, you never gave up on me." He said as he trailed off as Melissa listened with a smile.
Melissa wiped a small tear away. "Go on." She encouraged Lloyd.
Lloyd took a breather as he continued. "And when you're gone, you were the part that kept me whole, and if I have to say something to you about how I feel, it would be… I love you, Melissa Zhau." He confessed.
Melissa felt touched by Lloyd's words as she felt her heart swell in joy as she then spoke up. "Lloyd, you were the very first friend I made when we first met when I stood up to Chad back at kindergarten for you, and while I was being mistreated as well, you stood up to me and always been by my side as well and we always look out for each other, no matter what happens. You were there to comfort me when I still felt sad about how my birth parents tossed me aside. And it felt like, a whole other part of me was missing until you were there to fill the hole." She said as she trailed off as Lloyd smiled at her words. "And if I have to say, despite us being partners or friends, you are more than that. And for me to express it, I have to say… I love you too, Lloyd Garmadon." She finished as she and Lloyd looked each other in the eyes.
The two gave warm smiles as they then held hands and slowly leaned close to each other before their lips interacted with each other, embracing in a loving kiss as the two stood that way while the moon and stars shined bright over them as they then broke the kiss as they gave each other warm smiles.
"That was a beautiful talk, Lloyd." Melissa said softly with a warm smile. "Was it worth the wait?"
"It was definitely worth the wait." Lloyd said softly with a smile. "I love you."
"I love you too." Melissa said as the two then looked out the river as the moon and night sky shined bright as the Ninjas of Yin and Yang leaned close to each other. They have saved Ninjago, reconciled friendship and family, and now, love is blooming to the two heroes of Ninjago as they enjoyed the beautiful night together.
A/N: And that is the Movie, Garmadon has been defeated, Meowthra has been tamed, Ninjago is now saved and everyone now sees that Lloyd is a Hero.
