Time to take flight to the mountain
(Day time) dream spring field
Barda had asked crenn if the kid could fly them there crenn said "we cannot" barda said "by carrying us on your backs to the mountain you'd cut our travel time by a week or more I beg you give the matter more consideration". Crenn said "if we go back the dread gnomes will finish our kind once and for all I cannot allow that" lief said "don't you wanna go back it's your home It's not fair you were exiled here forever".
A lot of the kins voices we're over lapping each other "to tell you the truth, I thought about going back before" one said "it would be an adventure" another said. Lief said "it's important that we get to dread mountain as quickly as we can we're being chased because we're on a quest that will return peace to all of deltora".
Prin said "isn't he the coolest" another with purple hair on the back of head bald on top who is merin said "we could go home if peace was return to the entire kingdom it would mean the gnomes would have to stop attacking us". A kin with red hair curls on the end her name is ailsa said "just imagine by takeing them we'd be fighting to get our mountain back". Lief said "that's right our quest is for all deltorins to reclaim their land from the evil Shadow lord" ailsa said "my fellow kin don't you think its worth it to at least try".
The kin next to alisa she had pink hair pointed back her name is bruna she said "besides don't we owe him and the other boy they risk their lives to save little one". Crenn looked back bruna still talked "i think we must help them its the right thing to do" merin/alisa said "I agree" then crenn faced them. Crenn said "don't be foolish it isn't as simple as that" this caused the kin ladies to be surprised by the outburst prin said "but elder crenn don't you see i gotta go cause they saved me from from those bad guys and then I'd be able to go with you when I dream".
Prins mom said "no prin its to dangerous" crenn said "I won't allow it i've mourned enough already for the loss of far too many kin, we are greatful to you but you must understand why we cannot do this".
(afternoon between night) forest
Our group started a small fire for the night next to the dreaming spring barda said "all day spent arguing and he still won't budge an inch". Lief said "I have to wounder if there's anyway we can convince him" barda said "his reasons aren't selfish though he's clearly concerned about the safety of all the kin that's exactly what makes him a good leader". Jasmine said "I wonder if we should just go their own our own" barda said "yeah I think that would be best I don't wanna push the issue any more we'll just walk like we originally planned".
Cal said "if the kin don't wanna fly us to dread mountain then that is their decision and we should respect that" Lief stayed silence. Jasmine said "how long do you think it'll take us to get there" barda said "roughly 2 weeks would be my guess" cal said "then we better take our time and hustle while moving". Lier said "it's gonna take two weeks" barda said "the direct route takes us through several difficult mountain passes, that's why I thought flying was such a good idea it would've been so much quicker".
Lief grunt at this jasmine said "oh well before we met the kin we thought we were gonna have to walk anyway so let's get some sleep we're gonna wanna head out early tomorrow" cal said "yeah you get what you get you don't get upset and heading to bed will save us energy". Lief got up jasmine said "are you all right lief?" Cal said "yeah you look upset" he looked at the spring said "i'm fine i'm just a bit thirsty i'm gonna go get a drink at the spring" there was a moment of silence between the members.
(night time) dreaming spring
Lief is filling up his drinking pouch with water from the dreaming spring cal is next to him doing the same lief said "here's to you, mom and dad" and he began drinking. Cal thought 'I better think about his mom and dad too he could use my help' and then drank his pouch full of dreaming spring water the moon was full tonight and partly cloudy. Next is Cal and lief sleeping with blankets on them indicating they have fallen asleep and began to dream.
(night time) dungeon
Lief and cal open their eyes, and they had saw they are inside a dungeon spiritually you could see the torches lit with fire behind them was a gate door of wood. Both rubbed their eyes lief said "where am I" cal said "from the looks of it a dungeon" lief said "cal what are you doing in my dream" he replied "thought you could use some companionship through this roughage".
Then they heard a chain rattle looked in front of them, I saw a blonde beard and haired man wearing a green long sleeve shirt, black pants chain to the wall by his ankle. Lief said "huh father I miss you. I wish you were with us" cal looked in jarred blue eyes said "he looks so sad" they both walked to him crouched down. Lief said "hey father its me lief your son don't you recognize me you're not even moving your eyes can't you hear me please say something" and his father didn't respond.
Cal said "lief he can't hear or see us only our spirits are here" lief realized said "thats right crenn told us that only our spirit is present in the dream he can't see or hear me". Lief touched his father face and it went right through him then cal tried to shake jarred but his hand only went through him "I can't even shake his hand to greet him" cal said.
Suddenly, they heard chain rattles and the door open this got jarreds attention followed by lief and cal the one gate opened up and fallow walked right throught. Fallow began walking towards jarred lief said "who's this?" Cal said "hey your guess is as good as mine lief" fallow said "how are you finding the accommodations here jarred the humble blacksmith". Jarred said "huh prandine" lief said "thats prandine I remember dad told me he was king endon chief adviser who is secretly working for the Shadow lord the whole time" cal said "we'll find out soon enough".
Jarred said "you can't be i'm seeing things" and he remembered sharne tricking him into falling over the edge of the building with jarred and endons help. Jarred said "I saw you fall you can't be real" fallow said "ah you remember that but I assure you I am not prandine" jarred said "so tell me who are you" fallow said "who I am doesn't concern you all you need to know is that I am a servant of the master of this kingdom the all powerful Shadow lord".
Jarred said "but you look just like him" fallow said "when one passes there is always another the master prefers this face and form it's why he chose to give it to me and why I resemble that miserable fool, now that introductions are out of the way let's get down to business". Fallow then launched his right hand at jarred grabbing him you could see his long green fingernails grab onto the collar of jarreds shirt lief said "father" cal said "oh no".
Fallow said "are you going to make this easy or are you going to make this fun" lief said "stop it" cal said "save your breath lief we're on the spirit plane". After fallow let go of jarred he showed the belt book said "there has always been one copy of this book in the palace library why was it found in your house blacksmith". Lief said "the belt of deltora" cal said "I hate to see the book in the hands of slime" jarred said "I don't remember" fallow said "don't try and play games with me the master knows that you helped your fool of friend endon escspe along with his bride and unborn brat".
Jarred then laughed and coughed got fallows attention jarred said "endon was a complete fool wasn't he, he thought I was a traitor he would never have asked me to help him escape, all the better cause I wouldn't do a thing to help that coward". Fallow got angry by this jarred said "will that be all" fallow said "your son where is your son blacksmith" jarred said "my son that boy broke his mother's heart and mine he left our house months ago blacksmitg work bored him so he ran off with his friends we don't know where he is" fallow grabbed jarreds throat while saying "that's a lie".
Lief shouted "father" fallow said "you see peasant we have report of four travelers who have destroyed certain allies and stolen valued goods from my master we know of your futile plan to reclaim the kingdom". Fallow continues "the four are a grown man,a wild girl with with a black bird, a chimera warrior boy and a boy about your son's age so blacksmith we already know everything the young boy is your son and the grown man is your friend endon Will you continue to play innocent me?". Fallow continues to laughs lets go of jarred fallow said "I hope so i'm so enjoying our conversation" then jarred laughed and continued, laughing loud said "i'm really enjoying it too" fallow said "how dare you".
Jarred said "your story makes me laugh if endon was that intelligent or brave he never would of lost his kingdom or my friendship and if my son was really so dedicated he never would've left his parents alone at the forge". Jarred continues "unfortunately the truth is different endon was a foolish coward and my son is lazy and only thinks of himself" this made fallow stand up angry and kicked jarred while he was down. Lief said "no how dare you do that" he tried to grab him but have him passed right through, and he went back to standing looking at his hands, cal said "only our spirits are here remember".
Fallow turned and walked away while saying "next time, I see you I expect to hear answers not lies it would not be wise for you to try my patience blacksmith". Fallow stood in front of the door while its opening, looking at jarred said "your life is not the only one for mine to play with we also have your wife" jarred said "you leave her out of this". The door had closed and foot steps walked away heard indicating fallow left and then jarred sat down said "lief,barda it's good to hear that you're alive not only that but you're actually succeeding in getting the gems".
Lief said "right father we are, we've already got four and their on the belt we're on our way to dread mountain right now to get the fifth and we're moving as fast as our feet will take us". Lief continued "so hang in there we're gonna be back before you know it dont give up" jarred said "if I could talk to you I tell you never give up and that im fighting my fight as best I can you must always remember that what you are doing is for the freedom of all of deltora". Lief said "I will father" cal said "and don't worry Jarred he won't be completing this quest with just barda".
(Day time) dreaming spring forest
Cal and lief woke up got up barda sat under a tree and said "you two are awake what did you dream about". Next scene all the guys sat on their knees are by the dreaming spring barda scoped up hand full of water to wash his face while said "so they think im endon my mother wpuld have been so proud but I don't think she'd ever believe it". Barda continued "this is really good news though it means they still haven't realized that the beggar who used to ask for change outside the forge has also disappeared".
Cal said "so you pretend to be a beggar to hide in plain sight well thought barda very clever" then they heard a noise lookedsaw it was jasmine lief said "morning jasmine". Jasmine said "nothing happened I drank the water but I didn't dream of anything I tried to think of my dad's face but I was so young when he was taken it's just a blur to me" fili winned he was concerned. Lief said "im so sorry" jasmine said "dont be it's probably better this way he was taken prisoner by grey guards, and most likely suffered a great deal I just hope he's with my mom now".
Lief looked at jasmine silently jasmine said "besides there's nothing I can do about it anyway so let's just drop it we should get going" cal stood up said "good idea Jasmine if you obsess too much about the past you'll lose the present". Barda said "you're right let's go" a voice said "good you're all still here" they looked and saw the three adult kin merin,ailsa and bruna they walked twoards them then stopped.
Alisa said "we've been thinking it over" merin said "and we decided that we want to help you get to Dread Mountain" barda said "are you sure I mean, that'd be really great thank you". Jasmime said "does that mean elder crenn change his mind" and all three can close their eyes and shook their head left to right lief said "then I don't think it's a good idea".
Bruna said "oh don't worry no one listens to the old man anyway" alisa said "we decided we're going and that's that" bruna said "I don't think anyone could change our minds about this" and they all said "yeah". Merin said "he's a wise man but he can be very stubborn at times" alisa said "he's always like that it's useless to try and convince him". Barda said "but it wouldn't feel right" alisa said "you don't have to worry, we'll take care of everything" merin and bruna hummed and nodded their heads on agreement" cal said "well let's go everyone next stop Dread Mountain".
(Day time) field clearing Cliff
Our group along with merin,ailsa and bruna "alright all aboard" merin said barda said "should I just hop on?" he tried to get on her merin said "you do and I'll bop you one". Barda said "oh where do i go?" And the rest of the group minus Cal began laughing, barda is inside merins pouch lief said "are you snuggly wuggly in your pouchy wouchy" barda said "stop laughing at me".
Bruna said "you should be proud merin looks like you got the biggest baby" ailsa said "look how cute her big baby looks in her pouch" merins said "quit teasing the poor human we don't wanna make him cry now". Cal said "I don't know what you two laughing about it's your turn to get into the pouches" next scene lief is in a pouch getting his head rubbed by alisa. Jasmine is inside brunas pouch fith filli lief said "OK this is a bit embarrassing" barda said "yeah think" cal said "not so funny now when it happens to you, does it Jasmine and Lief" jasmine said "I think it's kind of cozy" ailsa said "so ready for takeoff".
Lief said "wait how is Cal going to fly with us there's only three kins and four of us" cal said "ill show you all" then crenns voice was heard "wait right there" and they all looked where the voice was coming from. All of the kids are showing up "what do you think your doing I already said that I was against any of you taking them to dread Mountain" all kin woman said "we know".
Merin said "please don't try to stop us you need to understand we're doing this for the future of our tribe" crenn said "what do you mean we already discussed this yesterday your actions will accomplish nothing and we will lose three more kin". Prins mom said "you know he's right please don't be foolish I can't stand the thought of morning for the three of you" bruna said "foolish you already have little one, but we have no young we need to eat the boolong cones this is something we should've done a long, long time ago" ailsa said and merin hummed in agreement.
Bruna said "it's true we're safe here and happy to be together but we're all getting older an soon there won't be any of us left if we want our kind to continue we've gotta take a chance". Prins mother said "can't you just go to our mountain in your dreams" ailsa said "i'm tired of dreams" prin said "I don't even have them cuz i've never been to the mountain" prins mom said "oh prin". Prin said "i'm coming too" and ran to our group lief said "no prin" prin grabbed brunas leg said "please take me. I really wanna go with you guys" then bruna put her finger on prind nose said "no little one it's too dangerous we need to keep you safe cause you're the only one we've got".
Prin shook her head side to side vigorously, angry said "I don't care i'm not a kid anymore I don't care what you say I'm going with lief, cal and the other humans to the mountain". Prins mom said "prin get over here right now you're a good girl and do as you're told stop bothering the adults this is not for you to decide" prin looked down while getting scolded by her mom.
Next scene in the distance we see prin and her mom haveing a discussion and three of the group members got out of the pouches standing on their legs. Crenn said "you see what you have done we were peaceful and happy here before you four arrived we were content to visit our mountain in our dreams no for the first time there is anger between us and little one is unhappy".
Bruna said "now wait a minute, its not fair fro you to blame the strangers crenn merin, ailsa and I have agreed to go to the mountain of our own free will". Ailsa said "thats right think about it do you want the kin to disappear forever without putting up some sort of fight" crenn said "of course not ailsa you know there is nothing more important to me then protecting our tribe".
Merin said "we know that, but you don't seem to consider what it's like for little one" this made crenn surprised said "what are you talking about? I" then he looks at her. Merin said "what kind of life is it like for a child to grow up with no companions and eventually she'll be all alone" during this prin and her mother talked but she turned away and ran because she heard something she didn't like.
There was a moment of silence crenn said "I must admit I hadn't considered that before your right you four drank from the dreaming spin twice now and nothing has happened to you therefore I cannot doubt you are people with good hearts. Crenn continued "which means that your journey to our mountain is as you say for the peace of all deltora including us kin" barda said "thank you elder". Ailsa said "all right girls let's get the show on the road" they all hummed agreement.
Lief said "but wait Cal you still haven't told us how you're gonna fly with us" cal said "not a problem" and he walks a far distances from them. Cal said "baggey hatter you too go back inside the belt for some relaxation time". They hummed I went inside the belt in the silver and gold orb form cal said "please everyone stand back" and they did. Cal then took a deep breath twice to get his head cleared he activated his transformation, which consumed him in a twilight sphere everyone covered their eyes.
As soon as the twilight dimmed off they open their eyes everyone, except the group were surprised that Cal in his creature form. Cal said while, lifting his arms up "calm down everyone I mean, you know harm this is how I get to the dread mountain with my group" and then his wings unfolded out of his back.
(Day time) field cliff
Our group is back in the pouches of the three female kins with cal behindvthem in his creature form they are preparing for takeoff. Crenn said "take care of yourselves and return to us with the greatest of speed" all three female kin said "right".
Ailsa faced the wind said "feel that, that's quite a tail wind lets get going" lief nodded and ailsa began running. Lief said "hey why are you running" ailsa said "were a lot heavier with you so we gotta get more speed" Lief screamed as they got closer to the edge. Lief said "but we're heading right for that cliff" ailsa said "hold on cause here we go" and she started to fly off the cliff edge.
The other members followed barda in merins pouch, jasmine in brunas pouch and cal flying in his creature form jasmine said "hehe yeah". Jasmine said "lief look down the trees look so tiny from way up here hehe" lief looked down then back he could see rainbow valley. Lief said "wow its so beautiful I never thought I'd get to see this" barda said "hey please don't fly so high what if I accidentally fell out" merin said "would be a lot quieter around here". Jasmine said "what do you think Isn't this the coolest" lief said "yeah" jasmine said "woo go higher" barda said "n no don't listen to her" cal flew by merin said "come now barda where's your sense of adventure just enjoy the flight".
You can imagine the amazing view they all witnessed lief said "how long will it take to reach the mountain" ailsa said "we'll have to stop when the sun goes down but if we continue to have good weather like right now we should get there tomorrow". Lief said "no kidding" then thought 'so tomorrow we'll find out if the dread gnomes still keep a lookout for the kin cause if they do were going down with them except for cal'. Lief thought of the kin going down in the sky thought 'no everything is gonna go as planned the four gems we already got will protect us i can feel it'.
Lief thought 'each gem has its own magic but the seven gems together are far more powerful only the belt of deltora complete as it was first fashioned by adin and worn by adins true air has the power to defeat the enemy'. Lief continued 'we got to get the other gems as soon as possible so we can start looking for the king son without him it's useless'.
(Day time) shifting sands
The carn squad had just stopped their mudlets with their color hood in the shifting sands the leader got off his mudlet on the grounds was a remaing gray guards mask he picked it up. Now that their is sunlight the carn squads uniforms along with their crimson clothes, yellow scarfs and sleeve on left arm their mask colors are charcoal, and the spike horns on the side are more curvier. The leader looked of in the distance of the shifting sands and just had hummed indicating he knows the direction of where their target is going.
(Afternoon time) the sky
Our group flying in the kins pouch minus cal who is flying in his creature form ailsa said "we should start heading down" merin/bruna said "right". Lief said "really but where are we gonna land?" Ailsa said "you don't have to worry we've done this many times this is where we sleep whenever we make a trip between the mountain and the spring". Then ailsa started to descend said "that's why we call it kin rest" she landed down while lief was screaming and stopped when she landed on her bum.
Lief was glad that was over then merin and bruna landed down the same way jasmine looked around and said "hey where's cal". "Look out below" cal said they all got out of the way as he landed a little hard "the flight was smooth but the landing was rough get it" everyone wasn't completely unamused. He then transformed back to his human side said "oh come on that was a little bit funny" barda got out of the pouch laid his body on the ground said "oh I never thought that I'd be this happy to feal firm ground below me" the other were next to him sitting with baggy and hatter out of belt.
Jasmine said "I can't believe what a big fuss you were making barda" barda replied "i'm heavier than you guys so I was constantly thinking that maybe our pouch is gonna break on me". Merin sitting with kin woman said "i kept telling him he would be alright but he just wouldn't listen" she was sitting next to bruna and ailsa.
Ailsa said "oh come on kin children much larger than you can ride in our pouches no problem" bruna said "you really are quite safe in there" merin said "but if you fuss again tomorrow i'm leaving you here". Barda said "sorry about that I promise I won't complain anymore probably" jasmine laughed and lief with cal laughed to.
Next everyone is still sitting my a cool water stream in the spot of the forest merin said "its really amazing how much these trees have grown since I was a child". Ailsa said "you can barely see the stream from above cause of how thick they are" then bruna saw a small cave with a few small vines growing on it. Bruna said "hey ailsa isn't that the cave we used to play in when we were kids" then ailsa walked to it while said "it is, it's so different though it seems everything here has changed in someway" merin and bruna walked twoards the cave as well.
Bruna said "we always go to the mountain every night in our dreams but we never think to come here" lief said "hey jasmine what do the trees say are they happy". Jasmine said "they're excited to see Kin again it's been a while since they stopped here but then I also sense sadness and even fear in them, something bad happened someone they cared for came to an untimely end here". Barda said "did they tell you when it happened" jasmine said "some of these trees are hundreds of years old their sense of time is completely different than ours so it's hard to say".
Cal said "I understand them except I'm only 118 years old but yeah sometimes can seem very long" lief said "I don't get it what do you mean". Jasmine said "well the sadness they're remembering could've happened a year ago or 20 years ago they don't count like we do so it's hard for me to figure out when a thing took place". Jasmine then got chilly along with fili she said "it's getting a bit cold do you think it'd be all right if we lit a fire the trees are so grown over they'll hide the light I kinda need something to cheer me up a bit right now" barda said "sure lets do that".
(Night time) forest patch
Our group had just built a fire and they were all sitting down next to the fire getting warmed by the flames then they heard a rustling and looked where it came from. The source was ailsa moving through the buses she said "would you four come over here we got something we wanna show you" and next scene they were in front of the cave barda held a torch. Ailsa said "when we were young we always used to play in this cave whenever we stopped here" they started walking in ailsa continued with echo "we were exploring it reminiscing when we came across some strange things".
Barda walking first since he had the torch then at the end saw a candle stick on a rock and a blanket on a chair barda said "look at that". He grabbed the blanket while lief said "apparently someone lived here" barda said "and it was a while ago" cal said "something must've happened to that person". Ailsa with merin and bruna by her side said "yes but it has to be after we fled our mountain and stopped visiting this place" bruna said "we mever saw anybody but other kin whe we cane here" merin said "there's something else too".
They started walking further and saw a stone square plate on the ground they all crouched down this time Jasmine held the torch barda said "it looks like there's writing scratch on this stone". Barda started wiping off the dirt on the stone with the dirt off their words on the stone jasmine said "what do you suppose this means?".
Barda read "here lies doom of the Hills who sheltered a friendless stranger and so met his end he will be avenged" lief said "that means this has to be doom's grave". Jasmine said "you really think this is about him grr" barda said "it can't be I mean think about it this headstone is old its hard to tell but I'd say it's been here for at least 10 years maybe more".
veLief said "hey look at that" on the stone was and engraving of the resistance symbol "its the symbol of the resistance". Jasmine said "maybe the man we know is someone else entirely the real doom is actually buried under this stone" lief said "your saying he stole his identity". Barda said "The real question is why does he feel the need to conceal who he is" cal said "whatever it is something tells me we're gonna find that answer soon enough" lief said "for all we know he could be a spy for the Shadow lord".
(Night time) cave
Cal said "we should all get some sleep but before i do i have a few projects I need to work on i'll join you all as soon as I'm done" everyone but him went out of the cave. He placed baggy on the ground opened her mouth flap and jumped right inside and headed to the forge sphere.
He took his belt off placed it in the spellbinding circle, and he put five swords, trident javelin and two uniforms with metal masks of the gray guards he collected. Cal pounded thr forgeing hammer on the items a few dozen times and he was amazed by the results. For the gold armor got a big shiled fire forged swmbol on the back to protect the behind blind spot and the sword went from ax sword to flame looking sword. With the silver armor for the sword the blade transformed into a big curve blade with an extra blade sticking like a thumb even had aura match its shape and the shield grew bigger and front looked like a skull with three eyes.
Cal put the belt back on his body and decided to level up baggy and hatter while he's here and they git stronger. For the uniforms he transformed them into a gray guard disguise that also acts like pajamas and use the other weapons, masks, and uniforms of the gray guards to make them used for golems. He headed to the training sphere to try out his new weapons and they passed with flying colors so cal decided to head out of baggy. As soon as he got out a baggy he picked her up, put her on his back, then flipped hatter upside down and put him on the ground and jumped right into him.
Inside hatter nice farming land the golems came to see him and he gave him there gifts gray guards masks. Cal said "taro,jiro,saburo,cutaro to activete them place them on your faced and tap them twice to activate and twice to deactivate". Cals golems did just that and then they were dressed like gray guards golem style each haf blister launchers like the guards but taro had a ball and chain, jiro had a trident javelin and saburo and cutaro had swords. After he gave the golems there gifts he walked out of hatter and poped out like a rabbit in the hat useing his telekinesis picked hatter up and put him on his head and they all left the cave.
When they arrived where their group is they had all gone to sleep and cal snuck quietly not to wake them he found a good nap spot placed baggy on his chest laid on his back with hatter on his eyes and they all took a nap.
