Chapter 36: Reclaiming Muse

As soon as all of the Higheast soldiers are getting deployed, it was watched by Seed, Asher and Sasarai and commenting about their past.

"It's like in my world where Lord Riou and his forces are deployed to fight."

"Yeah, you're right... At least they are more than enough to reclaim Muse." Sasarai said and Seed smirks in a heelish manner.

"As long as I'm still here... I wanted to pay for my entire losses when we were in the Highland Army. The boredom is killin' me if I don't fight."

"You're not bored if you keep getting close to the princess." Asher commented which makes Seed blushed in embarrassment and Sasarai laughs at his comment.

"Shut up, old man!"

"Now that all recruits were gathered. This time, we're going to take action on the battlefield. And Seed, this would be the first time, you will see them using firearms instead of bow and arrows." Asher said telling him which excites him.

"Now that's what I wanted to see! It's going to be fire with fire!"

"Yeah... me too. I also wanted to see how they use firearms in the middle of the war battle." Sasarai said smiling and soon they finally deploy in Muse.

Upon seeing the area, it was guarded by Craig, Mugetsu, Elric and Ross.

"Listen up! We must not let them get through this city!"

"I would expected they are here to fight." Ross said as Mugetsu sensed Seed's presence.

"That red headed bullshit... he was still there, now my blood is about to boil."

As the war battle begins, the cavalry move while they were still guarding the area, they soon given the signal to Asher who now leads along with Jordine and his group.

"All right, Jordine... you do the honors."

"Okay guys... fire at will with cannons and rifles, shoot em!" Jordine orders his group to shoot most soldiers' head with sniper rifles while Asher controls using catapult contains flaming boulders and homing missiles which causes explosions.

They were surprised to see them using firearms since they do the old style of war tactics.

"Okay, gives Seed and the all others the signal to strike!" Tougou said as they charge them head on.

"Wow... now that's a blood fest!"

The fight was more equal than the last time which the Silverian retreated immediately and they won decisively. Back at the Higheast Palace, All of them are celebrating their victory for reclaiming Muse and Lene was relieved that they can finally retake their homeland in Silveria which is in Jenova.

"Lene... you should be proud that you're gonna retake your homeland from your no good uncle." Sean said smiling to her and Lene nods as Cara noticed something about her as she walks to see her father Lars.

"Cara, you seem pretty awkward?" Sean said calmly and both sees Lene faintly collapses causing her father Lars to order a royal physician to take her to the infirmary as Cara thought of this.

The princess... she collapses on the whole crowd. Could she be-?

At the balcony, Seed tries to recall in how of his friends are doing their best to keep up his life after suffering from any life threats such as poison. Culgan administers him with an antidote to cure his poison. Lene has been watching him after he saved her life from getting an arrow shot which was coated with poison. The only thing he cannot run away from his fate was he was killed alongside Culgan by Riou and his Allied Army as he thought.

Looks like I had no other choice. This is my current fate to be killed at my own time. Lene was lucky enough to have a lavish life as a princess here in her time. Just like Lord Jowy is with his current family.

"I knew you would be wandering around the balcony." Asher arrives to see him as Seed faces him.

"What is it, old man? If you want to have a pep talk with me. Just make it quick..."

"You still think about your past world. If you wanna go back to where you came from then be my guest." Asher said and he looked into the night sky and sighs. "No wonder why my ancestor would tolerate your horrible temper even though you and him are best friends."

Asher said became regretful to his actions.

Seed said in a calm tone and soon became concern to Lene. "How is Lene doing? And I'm sure she was excited to do the victory celebration with her father."

"The princess was faintly collapsed after speaking to Sean." Asher answered which surprised Seed.

"What!? She collapsed!"

"It looks like you did something to the princess during Tinto mission." Asher said which saddens Seed and he states.

"Uhhh... Lene and I we... we made love with each other while Sean and that girl of his had to deal against Rambert's cronies and we enjoyed ourselves."

"You're not very careful, young man. That's what happens if you love someone and you had no protection of doing so by having sex with the princess." Asher said scolding him while giving him a face palm.

"Why?" Seed lowered his head in upset and Asher tells him in a serious tone.

"I'm sure the royal physicians would check on her to see if she was pregnant with her unborn child which is coming from you."

At the infirmary, Seed looked to see a lot of people including Lars and Tougou and Sean was present to watch. The physicians arrive to inform them that Lene was pregnant and wanted to know who was the father of her child. Sasarai and Geddoe suspects Seed being the father of Lene's unborn child.

"That red headed guy must have become the father of Lene's unborn child inside of her."

"I regret this may endangered her life." Sasarai said concerning about Lene's health and status.

"What do you mean?"

"The incarnation Rune of the Beginning is still on her right hand and once she used its magic. It's gonna costs her life in her current condition. Seed must have been in love with her ever since he arrived here by accident. His Flowing Rune was connected to her incarnation Rune and why Chris was not resonating her True Water Rune." Sasarai said knowing the high risk of Lene being pregnant and Geddoe states.

"Could it be one of the two aspects of the Rune of the Beginning?"

"Exactly... Seed's connection with Lene's Divine Dagger incarnation Rune has the power elements of the Black Sword Rune because Seed is very loyal to Jowy Atreides who soon became the King of Highland as Jowy Blight and that's why his Flowing Rune was connected to it. He maybe the key to end the blood war, but he was the one who can protect the Princess whenever he can. Now that Muse is already reclaimed, now is the time to retake the Silverian territory which is Jenova."
