Hello, and welcome to another experimental My Hero Academia fic. A new idea popped into my head after AN ACCIDENT occurred, in which I was playing an MP3 player on my smartphone and while listening to the songs on my collection when a song of the famed late singer, Koji Wada played, which instantly jolted me back to memory lane as I recall watching a certain anime in the last 20 years.

Specifically the Digimon anime series, which started from Digimon Adventure up to Digimon Frontier. And the song that I happened to listen to was Butterfly, and this made me recall watching Digimon Adventure, as it is one of the Digimon Series that I watched (the others being Digimon Adventure, Digimon Tamers and Digimon Xros Wars).

Having fond memories I suddenly got inspired as a thought hit me. What if select MHA characters get into the Digimon situation? That idea somewhat excited me and after re-scrolling the past Digimon series I decided to try out using elements from Digimon Adventure, since I find it similar to MHA given that the Chosen Children's abilities to have their Digimon partners to undergo DIGITAL EVOLUTION are similar to Quirks, so I thought of having those elements come into play and see if this would attract interest from fans and readers.

Also, since I'll be sticking close to the source material, particularly the anime, majority of this fic would be based on the Digital World and how the MHA characters would act given their unusual situation.

Lastly, this fic would be T-rated as I might go all-out on certain VIOLENCE LEVEL though I will keep things on a PG-level, and unlikely my other MHA fics, the MHA characters shown here would in their younger incarnation, as they are portrayed as around ten years old in terms of age.

Decades ago…

One day long ago in Qing Qing City, China, a luminescent baby was born with a unique power. Then, as time passed, the similar phenomena happened all over the world, and soon, the majority of the population had obtained superhuman powers known as "Quirks". Due to that, people were able to pursue heroism as a profession.

Heroes started appearing when the Quirk phenomenon occurred and the general populace acquired superpowers. The dawn of this extraordinary era was plagued by a breakdown of society, caused by the sudden onslaught of criminals empowered by their newfound abilities, and ordinary people being prejudiced against the "Meta Ability" users. As society adapted to the new status quo, the Police Force moved to prioritize leadership and to maintain the status quo, and as such, decided not to use Meta Abilities as weapons.

As chaos and unrest ensued due to the outbreak of these "Quirks", ordinary civilians with their own Quirks decided to take matters into their own hands to bring order to society, and thus the first "Heroes" appeared. These original Heroes to appear during this period were Vigilantes, as the Pro Hero system had not yet been implemented, beginning the "Vigilante era". Later on, the profession of crime-fighting Quirk users separate from the police and military, Pro Heroes, began to exist.

The Pro Hero System was first put into place in Rhode Island in America under the "Rhode Island New State Statute". 189 Vigilantes were affected by this statute, with only seven being accepted as official Heroes.

Now with the opportunity to become licensed Heroes and use their Quirks to fight crime legally, the number of unlicensed Vigilantes slowly began to decrease, with almost none left today.

The authorization of the use of powers that could so easily kill was greatly criticized at first. But over time, it came to garner public support due to the fact that the first people to work professionally as Heroes acted morally and upheld the law.

In the months…and years that followed, the Pro Hero System was adopted in Japan, and this gradually drives the vigilantes to underground as more pro heroes gradually became more popular as the civilians embraced the more popular ones that emerged in public and in social media due to charisma and moral conduct, such as All Might.

Ch. 1: Prologue

The present day…

Japan.

The country that is located within South East Asia, quite near different Asian countries such as China, Taiwan and the Philippines, is seen and that country is ruled by the Diet, and are handled by the Emperor and the Prime Minister. After their defeat at World War II, the country began to change for the better, and for several decades Japan vastly improved, mostly in the technological department yet their culture and values remained the same, as most Japanese citizens remained hospitable to visitors, residents and tourists alike.

The scene then zoomed further and you can see that the scene shows that the place being shown is Tokyo, which is bustling with people who are walking the busy streets, some riding vehicles, and others riding on bicycles. There are several types of people seen on the streets; adults, children, and even infants being carried by their parents. Businessmen, businesswomen, students, policemen, all kinds of persons are seen, and they were doing their usual activities as if they do not mind it.

Shops are open and the merchants are selling their merchandise and are enticing people to buy them in hopes of earning money. It was a typical day and it seems that people today are lively and felt that their lives are full of blessings and couldn't ask for anything more, as some are happy with stable jobs, students studying in the best schools, and more, and some even chatted with one another feeling that today is a good day.

"Hey!"

"Nice day, isn't it?"

"Today is a good day..."

"I love my job..."

"Life is so good..."

"I wish I have a good day..."

"Lots of money..."

"Lots of girls..."

The scene later shifts to a certain area, where business is thriving the area is frequently being besieged by customers which are a mix of adults and teenagers, and they appeared to be avid collectors, as they are looking and buying second-hand items which are technological in nature, and their reasons for patronizing the said shops are purely economical in nature - cheaper prices and practicality. You can see several shops selling HOT items for cheaper prices, such as smartphones, android tablets and even laptops, and despite being second-hand items, they appeared to be in good working conditions, and some of the customers are willing to buy them as long as their desired items are working fine as well as to save money for budgetary reasons, and the merchants are using subtle means in enticing passing customers.

"Hello...please by our items..."

"They are cheaper..."

"...they are in good working condition..."

"You can try them if you like..."

"I promise you will like them..."

"I promise you will get your money's worth..."

"Here are the items on our display..."

"Pick the one you like..."

The area in question turns out to be Akihabara, and the area is thriving and many merchants set up shops to attract passing customers and entice them to buy their products by showing the items and offered cheaper prices while assuring them that the items are in good working condition, and their marketing strategy worked as some passing customers were intrigued after hearing that so e gadgets are being sold in cheaper prices, and they began asking the merchants what itens do they sell, and the merchants showed to the customers the items they are selling, ranging from smartphones to android tablets and even laptops.

Then the scene shifts to another nearby shop, where a merchant is also selling second-hand items, but unlike the other shops, this merchant is selling something else and is catering avid collectors, and the scene shifts inside the shop where you can see the items being sold, which turn out to be classic console units and games, all being displayed on the shelves, and one by one you can see the following consoles being on display, which are:

- Nintendo Famicom

- Super Famicom

- Sega Mega Drive

- Game Boy Color

- Game Boy Advance

- Neo Geo

- Sony Playstation

- Sega Saturn

- Nintendo 64

In a matter of minutes customers passed by the shop, and most of them are avid collectors and fans of video games, and they were immediately intrigued by the items on display and they looked at the items, as some appeared to be unaware that such classical consoles actually existed, and they began asking the merchants if those consoles and its games are really something to be owned, which the merchant nodded and assured to them that the classic games are RARE, and are fun to play with, saying that even with popular games today that are released on current consoles such as the Sony Playstation 4, the Microsoft X-Box One and the Nintendo Wii, the consoles on display are even COOLER due to its nostalgia factor.

"Are they really cool compared to today's consoles?"

"Yes...they ate cool..."

"Seriously?"

"Yes, sir...they are the very first games...and they are the popular ones in its heydays...and they are RARE to find..."

"Hmm..."

"Would you like to try them...?"

"..."

"I promise you will not regret it..."

Shizuoka.

Shizuoka Prefecture is a prefecture of Japan located in the Chūbu region of Honshu. As of September 2023, Shizuoka Prefecture has a population of 3,555,818 and has a geographic area of 7,777.42 km2 (3,002.88 sq mi). Shizuoka Prefecture borders Kanagawa Prefecture to the east, Yamanashi Prefecture to the northeast, Nagano Prefecture to the north, and Aichi Prefecture to the west.

Shizuoka is the capital and Hamamatsu is the largest city in Shizuoka Prefecture, with other major cities including Fuji, Numazu, and Iwata. Shizuoka Prefecture is located on Japan's Pacific Ocean coast and features Suruga Bay formed by the Izu Peninsula, and Lake Hamana which is considered to be one of Japan's largest lakes. Mount Fuji, the tallest volcano in Japan and cultural icon of the country, is partially located in Shizuoka Prefecture on the border with Yamanashi Prefecture. Shizuoka Prefecture has a significant motoring heritage as the founding location of Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha, and is home to the Fuji International Speedway.

The scene shifts at Musutafu, which is a city where it is located somewhere in Shizuoka Prefecture. The city appeared to be peaceful as it looked like everyday life is the norm, as people are doing their daily lives, such as attending school, reporting for work at offices and establishment and the such, but this isn't what it normally appeared to be.

A few years ago…

The scene shifts at an apartment, where a five-year old boy, sporting green, curly hair and having a freckled face, is watching a live footage on his computer, where several pro heroes are seen doing heroic deeds like stopping crime and saving people. The little boy is so fixated that he aspires to become a hero himself when he grows up.

The boy is identified as Izuku Midoriya, and he appeared to be an avid fan of pro hero All-Might. As the little boy is watching in awe and admiration, his mother, Inko, smiled as she felt that her son has found inspiration, and there the little boy told his mom that he wants to become a hero like All-Might, which his mom smiled and said he would one day become one.

"Mom! Look!"

"Yes?"

"All-Might is amazing, right?"

"Yes, izuku."

"Can I become like him?"

"I'm sure you would."

"I'm going to become a hero when I grow up!"

"Yes, Izuku."

However, as fate would make itself apparent, the Midoriya family learned from a doctor that Izuku is Quirkless, and told Inko that they should just give it up, and accept the fact that Izuku is just an ordinary boy and can never become a pro hero, which Inko was in disbelief, asking the doctor how is this possible as she and her husband possess Quirks.

However, the doctor said that Izuku is one of the rare cases where he is born Quirkless and tells her that Izuku should just become an ordinary citizen, attend an ordinary school and live an ordinary life, and tells her that this is how life is, nothing more.

Izuku is heart-broken at this as he feels that his dreams will never be achieved and Inko consoled her son, seeing that he is depressed at this and apologized to her son, though all he could do is cry silently at this as he is forced to face the harsh truth and reality.

"M-mom…"

"Izuku…?"

"C-can…I…still be…a hero…?"

"Izuku…"

"…"

"Oh, Izuku! I'm sorry!"

"…"

"I'm sorry!"

In the years that passed, Midoriya's status as a Quirkless became known to his neighborhood, and neighborhood bullies uses their Quirk to torment him, mentally, and physically, to the point of badly injuring him, and as a battered and bleeding Midoriya lay on the ground, the bullies are ready to inflict more harm on the hapless boy, seeing that he could not fight back due to lacking a Quirk.

"Hah!"

"Look at that!"

"He really is Quirkless!"

"He couldn't even retaliate!"

"You're a loser!"

"You should commit suicide!"

"Yeah, you're a failure!"

"A trash!"

This made Izuku's childhood life unmemorable and Inko tried hard to make her son realize that all is not lost and that she is sure that something good is bound to happen and that a bright tomorrow awaits him and he shouldn't give up on life.

Inko's love for her son proved to be the factor that made Izuku hold on and persevere the challenges that came and he fought the misfortunes that tried to pull him down, and so far he is able to move past the fact that he is born Quirkless.

Present day…

The scene shifts at a busy downtown district as an incident is taking place as criminals are causing a ruckus and the police are having difficulty in containing the situation, prompting the police to seek aid from pro heroes, who arrived at the scene and assists them in dealing with the rampaging criminals.

As the situation is being assessed and the incident being addressed, pro heroBackdraftkeeps several onlookers at a safe distance, as he urges them to stay back in order keep them from getting injured which the citizens reluctantly obliges seeing that he is trying to protect them from getting hurt as the pro heroes are dealing with the villains.

"Okay, Backdraft!"

Moments later, another pro hero,Kamui Woods, battles the gigantic criminal. Kamui Woods states that the villain used his Quirk for illegal purposes and uses Lacquered Chain Prison on him in an attempt to stop his movement.

However, a female pro hero enters the fray, in whichMt. Ladyshows up and uses Canyon Cannon to defeat him. Several people start photographing the heroine as she declares that today is her debut and asks for the rest to be left up to her. The citizens cheered loudly as they admired Mt. Lady due to her charisma and beauty, which most attentions went straight to hers.

"Hurray for Mt. Lady!"

A few days later…

It was summer, and there you can see that so many people are celebrating as currently it is summer vacation, and thus institutions like schools and offices are having a summer break and there many are excited to have summer outings so as to escape the summer heat and cool themselves off.

The scene shifts at the train station where it was packed with a lot of people. They are passengers who are awaiting the next train, where several of the trains are bound for various destinations. The people shown are from various age groups, such as the adults, who are businessmen and the likes, heading for their desired destinations to meet people to do and make business.

"Ah…a vacation…"

"Time to head for the farthest region…"

"Kyoto…"

"Hiroshima…where the atomic bomb was dropped…"

"Are you crazy?"

"Mt. Bandai is a great place to hike…"

"Want to go to the hot springs…"

"Me too…"

Another age group is shown, they are teenagers, ranging from high school to university students, as they are waiting for their train ride. They are here to head for their desired destinations for they want to enjoy their summer vacations, where they plan to go to a popular beach that is based at a different prefecture that is not seen within Tokyo.

"Yahoo!"

"Summer at last!"

"Where should we go?"

"Anywhere!"

"Kyoto!"

"Mt. Fuji!"

"Mt. Bandai is better!"

"How about Akihabara?"

The next scene shifts to another venue, which turns out to be a summer camp, where various families brought their children here so that they can enjoy the summer vacation, and thus the children appeared to be enjoying themselves as they get to do several activities related to summer, such as swimming and other recreational activities.

The scene then shifts over to an area where a few children are watching the seas and are enjoying the view, where each one of them are aged at least ten years old, and the children are identified as:

- Izuku Midoriya

- Katsuki Bakugo

- Momo Yaoyorozu

- Tenya Iida

- Minoru Mineta

- Ochako Uraraka

- Shoto Todoroki

The seven children were staring at the ocean as waves came about before moving back, and there some of the children are considering in taking their clothes off and go for a dip, though Iida told his fellow children that they cannot because they do not have their swimming attire and that there is no lifeguard present at the moment and cautions them not to do something foolish, though the rest assured to Iida that things will be okay.

"Still…you shouldn't do something rash…"

"You worry too much…"

"Heh, scared of the waters? So you can't swim…?"

"Calm down. We won't take a dip."

"Relax. It'll be okay."

"Yeah. No need to be strict."

"And we'll take a dip once a lifeguard comes…"

"But…but…"

The seven children then stared at the skies where an unexpected phenomenon took place as bright lights appeared on the open skies, where they stared in awe as they observe lights like auroras in the sky, seeing how awestruck it looked as normally something like this is somewhat impossible to take place during summer.

"Wow…"

"Awesome…"

"Cool."

"Lovely."

"Beautiful."

"Amazing."

"Breathtaking…"

"Huh…?"

However something unexpected took place as a strange light suddenly brightens before a strange portal appeared, from which emerges a portal that shoots out strange electronic devices, which struck the ground and narrowly misses the seven children. When they surveyed the ground which smoke emanated, something glowed, and out of curiosity some attempted to reach out reach out and grab the objects, but Iida cautions them not to touch any of it as he believe that it might explode or something

Suddenly. a huge wave of water erupts from the ground and sucks them into the portal, which sends them to a new world as the seven children were screaming as they were taken by surprise and tried to escape, to no avail.

After an undetermined amount of time passes…

The scene shows that Midoriya was the first to be seen, where he is unconscious but then he is awoken by a strange creature which calls itself Koromon, as it repeatedly calling out Midoriya's name, and as the latter woke up, he momentarily freaked out at what he just saw, though Koromon assured to him that he is not in any danger.

"Relax, Izuku!"

"Huh?"

"You're okay now!"

"What…what is…"

"You're safe now, Izuku. My name is Koromon and…"

"How…how did you know my name…?"

"Well…"

"And…"

Midoriya blinked his eyes as he wondered how Koromon know about his name and soon he finds himself in what appeared to be a strange forest, and as he tried to figure out what is going on, he heard a shriek, where Mineta shows up, and following him his another strange creature, identified as Motimon. There the two creatures claim to know Midoriya and Mineta, and said that they have been waiting a long time for them to arrive here.

The two kids blinked their eyes upon hearing this and they were baffled by this unexpected revelation, and both glanced at each other before asking Koromon and Motimon of they are telling the truth, which the two creatures nodded in acknowledgement.

"Uh…just for clarification's sake, but…are you telling the truth…?"

"You mean what you say…?"

"Yes."

"That's right."

"You knew who we are…?"

"And you've been waiting for us…?"

"Yes."

"That's right."

As Mineta is baffled while a bit terrified, Midoriya decided try to figure out where he and Mineta are, and he climbs a tree to take a look where he brought out his telescope. A few seconds later Midoriya was startled as he find out that he and Mineta are near the ocean, and then spots a huge red beetle flying about, which Koromon shrieked in worry as he tells Midoriya that what he saw is a dangerous creature, which is identified as Kuwagamon.

"Izuku! Watch out! That monster's dangerous!"

"Huh?"

"That monster kills! He kills small monsters like us! That monster might take a liking and eat you!"

"Eh?"

"So hurry and get down here!"

"Are you serious?"

"Yes!"

"You got to be kidding!"

Hope you liked this opening chapter, as it somewhat retells certain events of the first chapters of the My Hero Academia manga plot, but diverges quite a lot…as the select MHA characters are portrayed as ten-year old children, since I'm going to use plot elements of Digimon Adventure and meld it with the MHA lore.

Since in Digimon Adventure, the initial plot involves seven elementary school children, hence I can only accommodate seven of the Class 1-A members and use them as the equivalent of the seven Chosen Children, along with their partner Digimons.

But since this is a crossover between Digimon Adventure and My Hero Academia, there will be some surprise plot twists…which you'll find out in the next upcoming chapters…

This is just the start as more are slated to come…

The next chapter commences the story as Midoriya and Mineta meet up with the other kids, but faces a situation as Kuwagamon is after them to EAT THEM ALIVE…and something BAD is about to happen…until SOMETHING UNEXPECTED takes place…
