AN: Another Criminal Minds story. I've been rewatching my Criminal Minds DVDs from the beginning, and I'm already on season 5. Anyway, I have also been reading Criminal Minds fanfiction stories. There are some recent ones, but mostly old ones. I recently read a story about Rossi and Gracia. Usually, I would never read a story where Rossi and Garcia are actually together; I never ship them. But after reading the story that I was recently reading. I fell in love with the rare couple and, of course, the story. So I'm going to write a story about Rossi and Garcia. It's a love story about the rare pair. The second Note will be at the bottom of this chapter.

...

The B.A.U. team faced another challenging case, but they successfully apprehended the Unsub and safely reunited the little girl with her parents. As the team is heading home, Penelope is looking forward to getting some much-needed rest after a busy week. With the weekend ahead, she can finally sleep in and recharge.

Penelope stepped out of her lair, after turning off her computers and gathering her belongings. After ensuring her door was securely locked, she made her way to the elevators. When the doors opened, she pressed the button to take her down to the parking garage.

As Penelope exited the elevator and walked towards her car, she emptied her car keys and cell phone from her large bag. Once she settled into the driver's seat, she tossed her bag onto the passenger seat and closed the car door. Then, she unlocked her cell phone.

Upon unlocking her cell phone, Penelope sighed deeply as she saw that Kevin had flooded her with missed calls and text messages. They had been dating for almost three years, but things hadn't been going well lately. They had been arguing, and Penelope wasn't sure why.

After giving it some thought, Penelope ignored Kevin because she was too tired to argue with him and wasn't ready to deal with his antics. Just then, she noticed a text from David Rossi, her fellow teammate, asking if she wanted to come over that night. Seizing the opportunity, Penelope texted him back, letting him know she would be there soon. Lately, she and David have spent much together, but their interactions were mostly limited to conversation.

David was always there to listen whenever Penelope needed someone to talk to. Derek, her best friend, used to have time for those conversations as well. However, ever since Derek married Savannah and they had their son, Hank, he hardly had time for her anymore. Penelope was okay with that, though. She understood that once Derek started his own family, their friendship would inevitably change a bit, and she accepted that.

"You know, I was a bit surprised that you accepted my invitation," David said softly as he took a sip of his whiskey and leaned back against the couch, his arm resting casually behind Penelope. When he had asked her to come over, he half-expected her to decline. Part of him hoped she would go home and try to reconcile things with Kevin.

Penelope shrugged slightly, a flicker of frustration crossing her face. "Yeah, I just couldn't bear the thought of going home and spending half the night locked in another argument with Kevin." She took a slow sip of her wine, feeling the warmth of the rich liquid as it slid down her throat. The image of Kevin's angry face waiting for her at the door loomed in her mind, a storm of shouting and accusations that she was all too familiar with. It was precisely that dread that had led her to seek refuge here with David, opting for the solace of companionship over the chaos that awaited her at home.

"You shouldn't have to tolerate that. You deserve so much better, my dear kitten." Rossi's heart ached as he observed how Kevin treated Penelope, with disdain and cruelty that left a bitter taste in his mouth. Every fiber of his being longed to confront Kevin, to unleash the pent-up frustration that simmered beneath the surface. The urge to deliver a well-deserved punch to Lynch's smug face was almost overwhelming. Yet, Rossi clenched his fists, knowing all too well.

Penelope nodded with a sigh. "I know, but Kevin isn't always like this. Most of the time, he's really sweet. I love him, David. Kevin and I have been together for three years, and I can't just give up on him." Although she and Kevin have been arguing a lot lately, Penelope still believes that he loves her, or at least she hopes he does.

David leaned forward and set his glass on the coffee table before taking Penelope's wine glass and placing it next to his. He firmly grasped both of her hands, locking his gaze with hers. "That doesn't give him the right to treat you like that, kitten. You deserve so much better; no woman should be treated this way," he asserted, confidently stroking his thumbs across her knuckles.

"What do I truly deserve, Agent Rossi?" Penelope asked, a smirk slowly tugging at the corners of her lips.

"You are worthy of love and admiration, deserving to be treated like the queen you are. You, my precious kitten, deserve to be with a man who understands how to honor a woman. You deserve a partner who can fulfill all your needs and desires, Penelope," David whispered, his voice low and intimate. With tender reverence, he lifted her hand, pressing a soft kiss against her knuckle, his gaze unwavering as he slowly traced his tongue between her fingers, igniting a spark of warmth between them.

Penelope gasped as soon as she felt his tongue between her fingers. The feeling of his tongue has already got Penelope feeling warm and tingly. A feeling that she desperately needs to ignore. But she's having a hard time ignoring the way her body is feeling right now, especially with David's tongue against her fingers." I think you had too much whiskey, Agent Rossi."

David let out a deep, throaty laugh that resonated in the warm air between them as he gently kissed her knuckles, savoring the delicate softness of her skin. After lingering for a moment, he lifted his lips, his eyes sparkling with admiration. "Yeah, probably. Or maybe I'm just sitting here with the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, and all I can think about is how much I want to kiss you right now." His voice was low and husky, filled with a playful longing as he leaned closer, his lips inches away from hers, drawing her in with an electric tension. "Can I kiss you?" he murmured, his gaze locked onto hers, inviting and full of anticipation.

Feeling his warm breath ghosting over her lips, Penelope's gaze lingered on his mouth, a mix of anticipation and uncertainty swirling within her. Her heart raced, pounding in her chest like a drum as she nervously stumbled over her words. "Y-you want to kiss me?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper, each syllable tinged with excitement and trepidation. She could hardly breathe as she swallowed hard, the moment hanging thick between them.

"Honestly, I yearn for so much more. But for now, I'll content myself with a kiss," David murmured, his voice low and inviting. He rested his warm hand against Penelope's neck, feeling the softness of her skin beneath his fingers. Gently, he traced her jawline with his thumb, his gaze locked onto hers as he waited. His heart was racing, hoping for her to say yes.

Keeping her gaze fixed on him, Penelope reached up to gently caress his beard, her fingers brushing against the coarse yet warm strands. The tactile sensation stirred her imagination, prompting thoughts of how the silken texture might feel against her skin. A fleeting blush crept onto her cheeks as she shook her head, reminding herself that the wine had fueled her wandering thoughts. With a soft smile, she looked up at him and said, "Well then, you have my permission to kiss me."

Without saying a word, David leaned forward and placed his lips against hers as he started to kiss her softly. Moving his hand and fingers through her hair, he placed his hand against the back of her head, keeping her in place as he deepened the kiss more. As David continues to kiss her deeply and passionately, he leans Penelope back against the arm of his couch and groans against her lips.

The moment Penelope felt the warmth of David's lips against her own, the sharp taste of whisky on his tongue intertwined with the sweetness of her wine, all coherent thoughts slipped away. Lost in the moment, she wrapped her arms around his neck, surrendering to the intoxicating rush. With her eyes closed, she kissed him back with a growing intensity, deepening their connection, while her fingers tangled in his hair, drawing him closer as the world around them faded into blissful oblivion.

Pulling away from her soft lips to catch his breath, he kept his fingers in her hair and his other gripping against her waist." Damn, Kitten, you're an excellent kisser. A lot better than my three ex-wives." David said with a hearty laugh as he leaned further down and started to place kisses against her neck.

Penelope giggled softly as she felt his lips against her neck." I had a lot of practice over the years, " she said as she bit her bottom lip and tilted her head back, giving him more access to her neck." I thought you wanted to settle for a kiss." She reminded him.

As he pulled his head away from her neck, David reminded himself that he only intended to kiss her and nothing more. However, once he tasted her lips against his, he craved more. Yet, his kitten was right; a kiss between them would have to suffice for now. "Sorry, I guess I couldn't help myself," he said with a smirk as he quickly kissed her cheek. He exited the couch, grabbed the two glasses off the coffee table, and walked into the kitchen with a small smile. It took every ounce of control not to pull Penelope into his bed with him.

Penelope shut her eyes, taking a deep breath to steady herself as her heart raced and her pulse quickened. She had never imagined that David Rossi, one of her bosses, would lean in to kiss her tonight, let alone that she would respond with such fervor. As his warm lips pressed against hers and his fingers wove through her hair, a wave of heat ignited within her, enveloping her entire being in a pulsing desire. It was as if the world around them faded away, leaving only the electric connection that crackled between their bodies.

David had awakened something inside of Penelope, a desire she had longed for. A desire that Penelope Garcia hasn't felt in a long time. Kevin barely makes her feel this way anymore. Penelope closed her eyes as she suddenly realized Kevin was at home." Damn it." She said as she quickly exited the couch and gathered her things. Penelope needed to get home to talk to Kevin and figure out what she's gonna do.

"Are you heading home?" David asked as he strolled out of the kitchen. He leaned against the doorframe, watching Penelope as she gathered her things. "You know, you could just stay the night," he said softly, hoping she wouldn't leave yet.

Penelope smiled as she approached him. "Yeah, I think it's best if I go home now. Thank you for having me over tonight," she said softly, kissing his cheek gently. As she pulled away, she noticed the lipstick on his face and giggled softly while wiping it off with her thumb. "Goodnight, Rossi. I'll see you at work on Monday," she added before leaving his house and closing the door behind her.

"Good night, Kitten," David said softly as he watched Penelope walk out of his house, the door closing behind her. He exhaled deeply and ran his fingers through his hair, uncertain about what Monday morning would bring—both at work and when he sees Penelope again. He's unsure about their future together, but one thing is clear: he wants to kiss her again.

"I think I'm in trouble," David said with a chuckle as he turned off the lights, locked his door, and headed upstairs to get ready for bed.

AN 2: Penelope and Kevin are still together, but not for very long though. Now that Penelope and David had shared a passionate kiss. A kiss that had changed everything between them. This story will have Fluff and some drama, but mostly fluff. Not to mention some smut scenes as well. Feel free to leave reviews. This will not be a slow burn, either. I hope you all will give this story and this rare couple a chance.
