Determined to push back against the perceived encroachment of the USPR and its unsettling claims of authorship over their very realities, the Allies amassed a formidable invasion force. Leading the charge in orbit were the imposing silhouettes of Imperial Star Destroyers, their bridges bristling with command crews eager to prove the Empire's might against this upstart Union. Alongside them were sleek Covenant cruisers, their plasma cannons charged and ready, and more agile Asari cruisers, their energy weapons humming with contained power. The ground forces were no less diverse and terrifying. Legions of disciplined Space Marines from the Imperium of Man stood ready to deploy, their power armor a bulwark against any conventional weaponry. Phalanxes of Spartan warriors, UNSC Marines in tow, stood in disciplined ranks, awaiting transport. And scattered among these military behemoths were individual figures of immense power – heroes and champions reluctantly united under the Allied banner: figures capable of shifting the tide of battles with a gesture or a blow. The Justice League and the Avengers, a mix of demigods, geniuses, and enhanced individuals, found themselves uneasy allies with empires and corporations they would normally oppose, united by a common fear and distrust of the Union. The battle was less a fight and more a systematic dismantling. Allied capital ships, with their immense shields and devastating weaponry, slowly but surely pulverized the USPR fleet. One by one, USPR vessels succumbed to the relentless onslaught, exploding in brilliant flashes of light and debris. By the end of the engagement, the orbital space above New Sinclair belonged to the Allies. Wreckage of USPR ships drifted silently, a grim prelude to the ground invasion to come. Battle tanks and infantry fighting vehicles moved to intercept the advancing Allied columns, engaging in fierce firefights in the outskirts of the city and across the surrounding plains. However, the sheer scale and variety of the Allied assault proved too much.
