Deciding to set up camp, Naruto found a good clearing and released his Pokémon. "Alright, everyone—time for a breather," he said with a grin. His Pokémon stretched and settled in, relaxing after the long adventure through Mount Moon.

As morning arrived, Naruto stirred in his tent, stretching before stepping outside. The crisp morning air greeted him as he reached for his Poké Balls and tossed them into the air.

In flashes of light, Charmeleon, Pidgey, Butterfree, and Nidoran emerged, shaking off the last remnants of sleep. Pikachu, yawning, trudged out of the tent, rubbing its eyes. The Tyrogue egg sat securely in its incubator. Naruto gently washed it, ensuring it was well cared for before placing it back in the device.

He then pulled out his custom Pokémon Egg Scanner, a device he had built himself, and ran a scan.

Egg Scanner: Tyrogue Egg—status stable. No abnormalities detected. Incubation temperature optimal. Hatching estimate: unknown.

Satisfied with the results, Naruto got to work preparing breakfast, whipping up food for both himself and his Pokémon. After a few minutes of enjoying their meal, he cleaned up and reached for his fishing pole.

Naruto settled at the edge of a nearby pond, casting his line into the water. Pikachu perched on his shoulder, watching the rippling surface with keen curiosity.

Seconds later, the fishing line jerked.

Naruto's eyes lit up as he pulled hard, reeling in his catch. Water splashed, and a flailing Magikarp broke through the surface, its scales glistening under the morning sun.

Pokédex: Magikarp—the Fish Pokémon. Though highly weak and nearly useless in battle, Magikarp has the potential for immense evolution into the powerful Gyarados. It splashes around in water but is easily caught by predators.

"Pikachu, hit it with Thunder Shock—now!" Naruto commanded.

Pikachu's cheeks sparked before it unleashed a jolt of electricity toward the Magikarp. The attack landed cleanly, sending bolts of energy crackling over the fish Pokémon.

Weakened, Magikarp flailed in the water, struggling to recover.

Without hesitation, Naruto grabbed an empty Poké Ball and threw it at Magikarp. The ball struck its target, opened, and sucked the Water-type inside.

The Poké Ball rocked back and forth. Naruto and his Pokémon held their breath, watching.

Ding! The ball locked in place.

Naruto had caught Magikarp.

He stared at the Poké Ball in his hand, pride flickering across his face—until the ball suddenly vanished in a flash of light.

He blinked, then remembered—he already had six Pokémon on his team. The newly caught Magikarp had been automatically transferred to the Pokémon Storage System.

Naruto chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Guess I'll have to check on it later."

Meanwhile, at Professor Oak's ranch…

Professor Oak strolled through the sprawling fields, making his rounds as he fed the various Pokémon entrusted to his care. The morning sun cast a warm glow over the pasture, and the calls of Pokémon echoed across the land.

As he finished tending to a group of Tauros, his assistant stepped out of the lab, spotting him among the Pokémon. She smiled, always appreciating the professor's dedication to the creatures left in his care.

"Professor Oak!" she called out, waving to get his attention.

He glanced up from a bag of Pokémon feed, wiping his hands on his coat. "Ah, good morning! What's on your mind?"

"Naruto caught another Pokémon—this time, a Water-type," she reported with enthusiasm.

Oak stroked his chin thoughtfully, his interest piqued. "A Water-type, huh? That boy's team is shaping up nicely. I'll have to check the system and see which one he's added."

Professor Oak waved goodbye to the Pokémon, giving them a final glance before heading inside his lab. Stepping up to his computer, he accessed the Pokémon storage system to check the latest additions.

As the list loaded, he chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "Let's see… Beedrill, more Nidoran—both male and female—Geodude, Sandshrew, and Zubat," he counted aloud. "Naruto's been busy."

His assistant peered over his shoulder. "He really is catching them at an impressive rate. It's fascinating to see how his team is growing."

Oak nodded. "He's got a keen sense for Pokémon selection. Each one has great potential."

With a knowing smile, he reached for his phone and dialed a familiar number.

A few rings later, a voice answered.

Red: "Professor Oak? What's up?"

Professor Oak: "Red, you're going to want to hear this—Naruto has added quite a few Pokémon to his collection. That boy's shaping up to be quite the trainer."

Red chuckled on the other end. "That doesn't surprise me. He's always been ambitious. What did he catch this time?"

Oak glanced back at the screen. "A Beedrill, multiple Nidoran, Geodude, Sandshrew, and Zubat. And just earlier, he caught a Water-type. I haven't checked which one yet."

Red: "A Water-type? He's expanding his strategy. That's good to hear."

Oak leaned back, thoughtful. "Indeed. I'm expecting even bigger things from him soon."

Meanwhile, the Pokémon outside continued grazing. Several of the newly stored Pokémon stirred, adjusting to their new surroundings at Oak's ranch.

Professor Oak checks what water type Naruto caught and he smirks,"Magikarp" he chuckles

he closed the system and gets all Naruto's pokemon and let them out in the ranch so they can run another and train or what not.

Meanwhile, back with Naruto…

Still seated by the water's edge, Naruto cast his line once more, enjoying the quiet rhythm of fishing. Pikachu remained perched on his shoulder, ears twitching as it observed the rippling surface.

Suddenly, the fishing rod jerked.

Naruto's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Got another one!" he exclaimed, pulling hard on the line.

With a splash, a Krabby emerged, its pincers snapping as it landed on the shore.

Naruto pulled out his Pokédex and scanned the new catch.

Pokédex: Krabby—the River Crab Pokémon. It lives in burrows dug along the shore. Its pincers are strong enough to crush small rocks, but if it loses one, it will regrow over time.

Krabby clacked its pincers together aggressively, sizing up Naruto and Pikachu.

"Pikachu, use Thunder Shock!" Naruto commanded.

Pikachu perked up, cheeks sparking with electricity. "Pika Pika… Pikachu!" she cried, unleashing a jolt of energy toward Krabby.

The electric charge crackled through the air, striking Krabby directly. The River Crab Pokémon let out a sharp chitter as it stiffened, its body momentarily paralyzed from the shock.

Naruto grabbed a Poké Ball and threw it at Krabby. The ball struck the Water-type, opened, and sucked Krabby inside. It rocked back and forth.

All eyes were on the ball.

Ding!

Naruto grinned as the ball locked shut. "Yes! Got another one!"

Before he could grab it, Krabby's Poké Ball suddenly glowed and vanished in a flash of light—transferred straight to Professor Oak's ranch.

Meanwhile, at Professor Oak's lab…

A soft ding echoed from the computer.

Oak's assistant glanced at the screen before giggling. "Professor, looks like Naruto caught another one."

Oak turned from his notes, arching a brow. "Let me guess—Water-type?"

She nodded. "Krabby."

Oak chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "That boy wastes no time, does he?" He typed a few commands, pulling up the latest transfer records. "His collection is growing faster than I expected."

He leaned back thoughtfully, watching the screen with a smile. "I have a feeling he's only just getting started."

Back with Naruto…

"Oh right—I already have six Pokémon," Naruto muttered, rubbing the back of his head. He sighed. "How did I forget that?"

Chuckling, he stretched his arms. "Well, time to get to training, everyone!"

His Pokémon perked up, grinning with excitement. Training was always their favorite time of day.

Naruto pointed to Charmeleon. "Charmeleon, work on turning Ember into Flamethrower. Focus on increasing your firepower!"

Charmeleon growled confidently, flames flickering at the tip of its tail.

Naruto turned to Pidgey. "Pidgey, fly around the clearing—push yourself as fast as you can!"

With an eager chirp, Pidgey flapped its wings hard and shot into the sky, zipping around overhead.

"Pikachu," Naruto said, looking at his Electric-type partner. "Start with Quick Attack, then cycle through your other moves to refine them."

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu chirped, cheeks sparking as she dashed forward at lightning speed.

"Nidoran, work on your Poison Sting and sharpen your other moves," Naruto instructed.

Nidoran growled, focusing its energy, preparing to launch its poisonous attack.

Finally, Naruto turned to Butterfree. "Butterfree, use Confusion—try to lift that boulder over there!"

Butterfree fluttered into position, eyes glowing as psychic energy surrounded the large rock.

As his Pokémon dove into their training, Naruto didn't waste any time, either. He began working on his own hand-to-hand combat, practicing strikes and footwork.

The clearing was alive with movement, energy, and determination.

Back with Ash, Misty, and Brock…

Ash lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. He sighed and turned to Pikachu, who was curled up beside him. "Pikachu, let's go to the training grounds at the Pokémon Center," Ash said, sitting up.

Pikachu opened one eye, letting out a tired sigh. "Pika Pika Pikachu…" it murmured, clearly reluctant but loyal as ever.

Ash grinned. "Come on, buddy. Some late-night training will be fun!"

Pikachu stretched, shaking off its sleepiness, and hopped onto Ash's shoulder. Together, they headed out of the room.

As they passed through the hallway, Misty spotted them. "Ash, what are you doing up so late?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ash shrugged. "Couldn't sleep. Figured I'd get some training in."

Misty sighed. "You're unbelievable. You should be resting before your next gym battle."

Brock appeared behind her, arms crossed. "She's right, Ash. Overworking yourself isn't going to help."

Ash waved them off with a grin. "I'm fine! Besides, training helps me relax."

Misty rolled her eyes. "Fine, but don't come crying to us when you're exhausted tomorrow."

Brock chuckled. "Might as well join him. No point in letting him train alone."

The three of them made their way to the training grounds. Once there, Ash released his Pokémon.

"Alright, team! Pikachu, work on your Thunder Shock and practice your other moves. Pidgey, focus on Quick Attack!" Ash instructed.

Pikachu's cheeks sparked as it unleashed a burst of electricity. "Pika Pika Pikachu!" it cried, fully energized now.

Pidgey flapped its wings and darted forward, zipping through the air with increasing speed.

"Butterfree, use Confusion! Try to refine your control," Ash said.

Butterfree's eyes glowed as psychic energy pulsed around it, lifting small objects nearby.

Meanwhile, Misty had her Water-types out, training alongside Ash.

"Starmie, increase the power of your Water Gun!" Misty directed.

Starmie spun rapidly, releasing a strong jet of water toward a target.

"Psyduck, try to focus your energy—don't just panic!" Misty added, though Psyduck tilted its head in confusion as usual.

Brock joined in, releasing his Pokémon. "Onix, work on your Rock Throw! Geodude, practice your Defense Curl and Rollout!"

The training ground buzzed with activity as all the Pokémon worked hard. Ash, however, couldn't resist bragging.

"Hey, Misty, remember when I beat you in our gym battle? Pikachu totally crushed your Water-types!" Ash said with a smug grin.

Misty groaned, crossing her arms. "Oh, please, Ash. You barely won! I had you on the ropes until the very end."

Ash laughed. "A win's a win! Right, Pikachu?"

Pikachu puffed out its chest proudly. "Pika pika!"

Misty rolled her eyes. "You better not let it go to your head."

Ash chuckled. "Too late!"

Naruto arrived in Cerulean City, his grin wide as he strolled through the streets. Pikachu perched on his shoulder, tail flicking excitedly.

He was still buzzing from the results of their training—Pidgey had evolved into Pidgeotto, growing stronger and faster. Rattata had sharpened its skills, and Nidoran had also made impressive progress. His team was shaping up well.

As he neared the Pokémon Center, he caught the sound of someone training in the nearby training grounds. The familiar echoes of battling Pokémon piqued his curiosity, but first, he had something important to take care of.

He stepped inside and approached Nurse Joy, placing his Poké Balls on the counter, along with the Tyrogue Egg.

"Hey, Nurse Joy!" Naruto greeted. "Could you check my Pokémon? And the egg too—it's doing fine, but I want to make sure everything's good."

Nurse Joy smiled warmly and took the Poké Balls. "Of course! I'll run a full check-up. And I'll scan your Pokémon egg while I'm at it."

She placed the egg into a specialized monitoring device, which began to analyze its condition.

Pokémon Egg Scanner: Tyrogue Egg—status stable. No abnormalities detected. Hatching estimate: unknown. Recommended care: continued monitoring and gentle temperature regulation.

Naruto nodded, satisfied. "Awesome! Thanks, Nurse Joy."

She handed him a key. "Feel free to rest in one of the rooms while I take care of your Pokémon. It won't take long."

Naruto gave her a thumbs-up before glancing toward the training grounds. The sounds of battling still echoed outside.

"Wonder who's training out there," he mused.

However, Naruto decided to head to the videophone, hoping his parents were awake.

He dialed their number, leaning forward as the screen rang. A few moments later, the call connected.

His mother's face appeared first, followed by his father stepping into view. "Naruto!" his mom greeted warmly. "You made it to Cerulean City already?"

Naruto grinned. "Yeah! I just got here. Oh—guess what? I caught a few more Pokémon, and some of my team evolved again!"

His dad chuckled, crossing his arms. "Sounds like you're making solid progress. Which ones evolved?"

Naruto beamed. "Pidgey evolved into Pidgeotto, and Nidoran's gotten way stronger. Plus, Rattata's grown a lot too!"

His mother smiled. "That's wonderful! I'm so proud of you."

His dad nodded. "Good work, son. Keep training hard. You have a big journey ahead."

Naruto's heart swelled with pride as he chatted with them, sharing more about his adventure and hearing their encouragement.

Naruto leaned forward on the videophone. "Is my little brother still here?" he asked his parents.

His mother nodded. "Yes, he called a few hours ago—oh, and he wanted us to tell you that he beat your girlfriend in a battle."

Naruto sweatdropped, letting out a sigh. "Of course he did… I'm guessing he's going to brag about it the next time he sees me."

Red and Delia—Naruto and Ash's parents—both groaned at the thought.

Red crossed his arms. "You know how Ash is. You're definitely going to hear about it."

Delia chuckled, shaking her head. "At least act surprised when he tells you."

Naruto laughed. "Yeah, yeah. I'll play along."

" so Ash has his 2nd badge now," Naruto stated.

His parents nodded.

"Oh well, I'll hear all about it in the morning, haha," Naruto said with a grin.

Just then, Nurse Joy's voice called out from the front desk. "Naruto, your Pokémon are ready to be picked up!"

Naruto turned back to the screen. "Looks like that's my cue. Love you both—I'll call you again after my gym battle!"

His mother smiled warmly. "We love you too, sweetheart. Stay safe and do your best."

Red smirked. "Go show them what you've got."

With that, Naruto ended the call and headed toward Nurse Joy, eager to retrieve his Pokémon and take his next step toward victory.

After receiving his Pokémon and the Tyrogue Egg back, Naruto took out his Pokémon Egg Scanner and showed it to Nurse Joy.

"This is the device I built to monitor my Pokémon egg," Naruto explained, holding it up.

Nurse Joy examined the scanner with interest. "That's impressive! Let's run a quick scan and make sure everything's in order."

Naruto activated the scanner.

Pokémon Egg Scanner: Tyrogue Egg—status stable. No abnormalities detected. Hatching estimate: unknown. Incubation temperature remains optimal.

Nurse Joy smiled. "Looks like you're taking great care of it. Just keep monitoring it regularly, and it'll hatch in no time."

Naruto grinned. "Thanks, Nurse Joy!"

With Pikachu perched on his shoulder, he made his way back to the videophone and dialed Professor Oak.

A few rings later, Professor Oak appeared on the screen. "Ah, Naruto! Good to see you."

Naruto wasted no time. "Professor, I want to swap out some of my Pokémon."

Oak stroked his chin. "Alright, tell me what you need."

"I'd like to switch Butterfree, Pidgeotto, and Rattata for Magikarp, Zubat, and Sandshrew," Naruto requested.

Oak nodded. "Got it. Give me a moment to process the transfer."

After a few clicks on his system, Oak confirmed the switch. "There you go, Naruto—Magikarp, Zubat, and Sandshrew are now with you. Train them well."

Naruto grinned. "Thanks, Professor! I'm planning to strengthen my team even more."

Oak chuckled. "That's the spirit. Keep up the good work."

With the swap complete, Naruto turned his attention back to his next challenge—the Cerulean Gym Battle.

Naruto dug through his hiking bag, his eyes lighting up as he pulled out an EXP Share. Grinning, he flipped it on.

"This is going to help my whole team get stronger," he murmured, feeling confident in his decision.

With everything set, he headed outside to the training grounds, where he spotted Ash, Misty, and Brock still hard at work with their Pokémon.

Naruto smirked and cleared his throat, making sure they noticed him.

Ash, mid-command to Pikachu, glanced over. "Huh? Oh, hey, Naruto! What's up?"

Misty crossed her arms. "Finally decided to stop lurking and say hi?"

Brock chuckled. "You here to train or just watch?"

Naruto grinned, resting his hands on his hips. "Actually, I was thinking… how about a battle?"

Ash, full of excitement, rushed to the battle space, eager to face his older brother. He bounced on his feet, waiting for Naruto to step into position.

Naruto chuckled at Ash's enthusiasm. "This will be a two-on-two battle, little brother," he announced.

Ash nodded eagerly. "Let's do this! Pidgeotto, I choose you!" he called, throwing his Poké Ball.

In a flash of light, Pidgeotto emerged, spreading its wings wide and letting out a confident cry.

Naruto sweatdropped as he watched his brother's excitement. Then, with a smirk, he glanced over at Misty. "By the way, after this, we're going on a date, baby."

Misty flushed slightly before crossing her arms. "We'll see about that—maybe I should battle you next instead."

Ash blinked. "Wait—hold on! We're battling first!"

Naruto chuckled again, shaking his head. "Alright, alright. Let's focus on the match."

He reached for a Poké Ball and prepared to send out his first Pokémon.

Before Naruto could grab Charmeleon's Poké Ball, Pikachu suddenly leaped down from his shoulder, landing in front of him with narrowed eyes.

Naruto blinked, realization dawning on him as Pikachu glared at him. He remembered exactly what he had told her after winning against Flint.

Naruto sighed and turned to Misty. "Misty, you're my girlfriend. I just wanted to spend time with you before Ash dragged you off on his journey. Is that too much to ask? I just wanted to get to know you better!"

Misty blinked at him, arms crossed, a teasing smirk on her face. "You do realize I went willingly, right?" she pointed out.

Naruto scratched the back of his head. "Yeah, yeah—I know. But still, it felt like I barely had a chance to hang out with you."

Pikachu huffed, flicking her tail and crossing her little arms.

Pikachu: Pika pika! (So you do remember!)

Naruto chuckled, reaching down to pat Pikachu's head. "Yeah, yeah—I didn't forget."

Ash, standing in the battle space, groaned loudly. "Can we please focus on the battle? This is supposed to be about me beating you, not your love life!"

Misty shot Ash a look. "You wish you had a romance drama."

Naruto grinned, shaking his head. "Alright, alright. Let's get this battle started."

With Pikachu satisfied, Naruto finally stepped forward, ready to face his eager little brother.

Naruto called out his commands with confidence. "Pikachu, start off with Quick Attack, then follow up with Electro Ball!"

Pikachu's body blurred as she dashed forward, moving so fast that Ash barely had time to react. "Whoa—she's fast!" Ash muttered in surprise.

"Pidgeotto, get in the air and dodge!" Ash called.

Pidgeotto flapped its wings hard, soaring higher to evade Pikachu's attack—but Naruto wasn't done.

"Now, Electro Ball!" Naruto shouted.

Pikachu skidded to a stop, gathering electricity into a glowing orb before launching it straight at Pidgeotto.

Ash's eyes widened. "Pidgeotto, counter with Gust—redirect the attack!"

Pidgeotto flapped its wings furiously, sending a strong gust toward the incoming Electro Ball. Sparks flew as the attacks collided in midair, the battlefield buzzing with energy.

Naruto smirked. "Not bad, little brother. But this battle is far from over!"

Naruto narrowed his eyes at Ash, determination flashing across his face. "Pikachu, start off with Quick Attack, then follow up with Spark!" he commanded.

Pikachu's body blurred as she dashed forward at an incredible speed, closing in on Pidgeotto in an instant.

Ash's eyes widened. "Whoa—she's fast!"

"Pidgeotto, get airborne and dodge!" Ash called.

Pidgeotto flapped its wings hard, taking to the sky to evade Pikachu's attack—but Naruto wasn't done.

"Now, Spark!" Naruto shouted.

Pikachu skidded to a stop, electricity crackling around her body before she surged forward, aiming to shock Pidgeotto with her charged energy.

Ash quickly reacted. "Pidgeotto, counter with Wing Attack!"

Pidgeotto swooped down, wings glowing as it prepared to strike, but Pikachu was already charging forward, electricity sparking around her as the attacks were about to collide.

The battle was heating up fast!

Pikachu blurred across the battlefield, dodging Pidgeotto's incoming attack with Quick Attack, then immediately charged up electricity. "Pika… CHUUU!" she cried, unleashing Thunder Shock at full power.

Pidgeotto struggled to react as the electrified blast crackled toward it. Sparks danced in the air as the attack struck, causing Pidgeotto to falter mid-flight.

Ash gritted his teeth. "Pidgeotto, push through! Use your own Quick Attack, then follow up with Wing Attack!"

Pidgeotto steadied itself, eyes sharpening in determination. With a burst of speed, it darted toward Pikachu, wings glowing as it prepared to strike.

Naruto smirked. "Pikachu, counter with a double Quick Attack—don't let Pidgeotto land that hit! Then finish this off with Thunder Shock!"

Pikachu vanished in a blur once more, weaving around Pidgeotto's attack before slamming into it twice in rapid succession. Pidgeotto cried out as it reeled from the impact.

Before Ash could issue another command, Pikachu landed and sent one final Thunder Shock, electricity crackling as it surged toward the weakened Flying-type.

The battlefield erupted in a burst of energy as the attack landed!

Naruto chuckled. "Alright, Pikachu, you did amazing—come back over here," he said.

Pikachu grinned, sparks flickering at her cheeks as she ran back to Naruto's side, hopping onto his shoulder where she belonged.

Meanwhile, Ash pointed forward with excitement. "Alright! Pikachu, I choose you!"

His Pikachu leaped onto the battlefield, cheeks crackling with electricity, ready for the next round.

Naruto smirked, already thinking about which Pokémon he'd send out next.

Ash blinked in realization. "Oh man, I totally forgot!" he admitted, rubbing the back of his head. "I was so focused on training that I didn't even think about it…"

Naruto chuckled. "Classic Ash." Then, with a confident smirk, he reached for a Poké Ball. "Alright, let's shake things up! Sandshrew, battle stance!"

He threw the Poké Ball into the air, and with a burst of light, Sandshrew appeared, landing firmly on the battlefield. The Ground-type Pokémon narrowed its eyes, ready for action.

Ash grinned, eyes gleaming with excitement. "Alright, let's see what Sandshrew's got!"

Meanwhile, Misty and Brock watched with interest.

Misty crossed her arms. "A Ground-type against Pikachu? Interesting choice."

Brock nodded. "Sandshrew's defensive abilities will definitely come in handy."

Naruto smirked. "That's the plan."

The battle was about to begin, tension crackling between the two brothers.

Naruto smirked as he watched Ash's Pikachu charge forward. "Alright, Sandshrew, brace yourself and counter with Defense Curl!" he commanded.

Sandshrew tucked itself into a tight ball, minimizing the impact of Pikachu's Tackle. The attack landed, but Sandshrew barely flinched, its sturdy defenses absorbing the blow.

Ash gritted his teeth. "Pikachu, don't let up—follow up with Quick Attack!"

Pikachu darted back and then rushed toward Sandshrew at full speed, aiming to land another hit.

Naruto's smirk widened. "Sandshrew, use Sand Attack before Pikachu reaches you!"

At the last second, Sandshrew kicked up a flurry of sand, sending it straight into Pikachu's face. Pikachu skidded, momentarily blinded.

Ash gasped. "Oh no!"

Naruto chuckled. "Type advantage and strategy, little brother. You better step it up!"

The battle was heating up, and Ash had to think fast!

andshrew wasted no time, leaping forward and unleashing Poison Sting, its sharp quills glinting as they shot toward Pikachu.

Ash's Pikachu dashed forward with Quick Attack, moving too fast to dodge completely but still managing to avoid the worst of the Poison Sting. A few needles grazed him, though, and Ash held his breath—hoping his Pikachu wouldn't get poisoned.

"Now, Rollout!" Naruto commanded.

Sandshrew curled up and began spinning rapidly, gaining momentum as it barreled toward Pikachu.

Ash, caught in the heat of the moment, yelled, "Pikachu, use Thunder Shock!"

Naruto smirked, knowing Electric-type moves wouldn't affect his Ground-type Pokémon.

Pikachu released a burst of electricity, but as soon as it hit Sandshrew, it fizzled out uselessly.

Ash's eyes widened. "Wait—oh no! It's not effective!"

Naruto laughed. "You really need to double-check those type advantages, little brother!"

Before Ash could react, Sandshrew's Rollout crashed into Pikachu, sending the Electric-type tumbling across the battlefield.

The dust settled, and Pikachu struggled to get up but ultimately slumped forward, knocked out.

Ash sighed, looking at his Pikachu, who stood on the battlefield with a disappointed expression. "You did great, buddy," Ash said, kneeling beside him.

Ash's Pikachu let out a small "Pika…" before shaking himself off and giving Ash an encouraging smile.

Naruto then turned to Ash, noticing the frustration on his little brother's face. He placed a hand on Ash's shoulder. "Ash, losses aren't just losses—they're lessons. Learn from this, train harder, and improve."

Then, with a knowing smirk, Naruto reached into his hiking bag and pulled out a massive book—one Ash instantly recognized. It was the book their parents and Naruto had been trying to get him to read for ages.

Ash's eyes widened in horror. "No. Not the book!"

Naruto grinned. "You wanted to get stronger, right? Time to study."

Misty giggled before wrapping her arms around Naruto from behind, resting her head against his shoulder. "You're really making him read it, huh? That's kind of cruel."

Brock chuckled. "Nah, it's necessary. Kid's gotta learn."

Ash, meanwhile, paled, staring at the book as if it contained his worst nightmare.

Ash paled even further, staring at the book as if it had suddenly gained teeth. "Y-you wouldn't…" he stammered, backing away slightly.

Naruto crossed his arms, smirking. "Try me, little brother. You either read it, or you're gonna be running, jumping, and sweating until you memorize it."

Misty giggled, tightening her hug around Naruto from behind. "You really do love torturing him, don't you?"

Brock chuckled. "Honestly, this might be the only way to make him study."

Ash groaned dramatically, gripping his head. "Fine! Fine! I'll read it! But if I survive this, I swear I'm making you do double the workouts next time we train."

Naruto laughed. "I'd like to see you try."

Ash sighed in defeat, clutching the book as if it weighed a hundred pounds. "This is the worst day ever…"

Misty smirked. "Oh please, Ash, reading won't kill you."

Naruto grinned as he watched his little brother finally give in. The battle might have ended, but the real challenge—getting Ash to study—had only just begun.

Naruto stretched, letting out a small yawn. "I'm gonna go get my Pokémon healed, then head to bed," he said casually.

Misty grinned and linked her arm with his. "I'll come with you," she said, walking beside him as they made their way to the Pokémon Center.

Meanwhile, Brock stayed behind with Ash, standing over him like a guardian. "Alright, Ash, at least read a few pages before you head to bed," Brock instructed.

Ash groaned, flipping open the book like it was the heaviest thing in the world. "Fine, but just a few pages."

Brock smirked. "Good enough."

After a bit of reluctant reading, Ash finally shut the book, rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Brock chuckled. "Alright, off to bed with you. You'll thank Naruto for this one day."

Ash grumbled as he got up, dragging his feet toward his room. "Yeah, yeah, sure…"

The day had been full of battles, training, and lessons—now, it was time to rest for whatever adventures awaited them next.

The next morning, Naruto stood at the edge of the Pokémon Center, seeing the group off.

As he leaned in to give Misty a simple kiss on the cheek, she smirked, clearly having other plans. Before he could pull away, she cupped his face and pressed a kiss to his lips, catching him completely off guard.

Naruto's eyes widened in surprise, his cheeks flushing a deep red. Misty pulled back with a triumphant smirk. "See ya later, Naruto," she said, savoring the sight of his reaction.

Naruto quickly recovered and got her back just as smoothly. With a smirk of his own, he casually said, "Yeah, see you later, beautiful."

This time, it was Misty's turn to blush, her confidence faltering for just a moment as she glanced away, flustered.

Ash groaned. "Seriously? We just woke up, and you two are already flirting?"

Brock chuckled, adjusting his backpack. "At least we know Naruto won this battle too."

With that, the group turned to leave, heading off toward their next adventure, while Naruto watched them go, already looking forward to the next time they crossed paths.

The sound of heels clicking echoed through the gym as Lily, one of Misty's older sisters, stepped forward with a confident smile.

"Well, well," she said, flipping her long pink hair over her shoulder. "So you're the challenger today? Misty's little boyfriend, huh?"

Naruto sweat dropped but kept his composure. "I'm here for a battle, not gossip," he said firmly.

Lily chuckled, winking. "Relax, handsome. You want a Cascade Badge? You'll have to earn it." She pulled out a Poké Ball, her expression sharp. "This will be a two-on-two battle. Let's see if you can handle the power of Water-types!"

Naruto smirked, already reaching for his first Pokémon. Pikachu, standing at his side, sparked with excitement, ready to watch the battle unfold.

The match was about to begin!

The referee stepped forward, raising a hand to signal the official battle rules. "This will be a two-on-two battle! Only the challenger is allowed to switch out Pokémon during the match!"

Naruto nodded, his expression sharp. "Got it."

Naruto smirked, looking down at his Pikachu, who stepped forward with confidence, her heart-shaped tail flicking playfully. Sparks crackled at her cheeks as she took her battle stance.

Lily chuckled, flipping her hair. "You've got a female Pikachu? Cute. Let's see if she's as tough as she looks."

Naruto's Pikachu huffed, standing tall, her ears twitching in challenge. She wasn't just cute—she was fierce.

Naruto crossed his arms. "She's more than tough. She's got battle smarts, speed, and she doesn't back down from a fight."

Pikachu smirked, her signature confidence shining through.

Lily tossed her Poké Ball. "Alright then, Staryu, I choose you!"

With a flash of light, Staryu appeared, spinning midair before landing in the water-filled battlefield.

Naruto eyed the battlefield carefully. "Alright, Pikachu, battle stance! Time to show them what you can do."

Pikachu crouched, tail flicking sharply, her playful but determined nature on full display. She was ready to take on Staryu.

The match was officially underway!

Pikachu wasted no time, releasing a Thunder Wave, sending paralyzing sparks toward Staryu.

Lily's eyes widened. "Oh no—Staryu, dodge!"

But the electric energy crackled around Staryu, slowing its movement as the paralysis took hold.

Naruto grinned. "Now, Pikachu—Quick Attack to get on top of it, then hit it with Spark!"

With lightning-fast speed, Pikachu dashed forward, leaping onto Staryu, her heart-shaped tail flicking as electricity surged through her body.

"Pika—CHUUU!" Pikachu unleashed Spark, sending a shock through Staryu, making it shudder.

Lily gritted her teeth. "Staryu, shake it off and use Water Gun!"

Staryu managed to force Pikachu off with a burst of water, sending her skidding back across the battlefield.

Naruto smirked, seeing his opening. "Pikachu, Quick Attack behind it, then finish this with a full-powered Thunder Shock!"

Pikachu shot forward again, zigzagging before appearing behind Staryu in a flash.

Before Lily could call for a counter, Pikachu's cheeks sparked intensely, releasing a massive Thunder Shock, striking Staryu full force!

The battlefield crackled with electricity—Staryu was in trouble!

The Thunder Shock struck Staryu dead-on, sending jolts of electricity through its core. The Water-type trembled from the impact before collapsing onto the battlefield—knocked out!

The referee raised a hand. "Staryu is unable to battle! The challenger wins the first round!"

Lily sighed but smiled, recalling Staryu. "Not bad, Naruto. But don't think I'm going down that easily."

Naruto smirked, his Pikachu standing proudly, flicking her heart-shaped tail in triumph.

Lily grabbed her second Poké Ball. "Let's see how you handle this one!"

With a toss, her next Pokémon emerged in a flash of light, ready for battle.

Lily smirked as she grabbed her second Poké Ball, her confidence unwavering. "Alright, let's see if you can handle this one!"

She tossed the ball high into the air, and with a flash of light, Starmie emerged, spinning rapidly as it landed gracefully into the battlefield's water. Its gem core gleamed, pulsing with energy.

Naruto's Pokédex beeped, scanning the Pokémon.

"Starmie, the Mysterious Pokémon. The evolved form of Staryu, Starmie has incredible speed and can emit powerful psychic waves from its core. Its ability to rapidly spin allows it to evade attacks and strike with force."

Naruto narrowed his eyes. Psychic moves? That could be trouble.

Pikachu stood firm, her heart-shaped tail flicking with confidence. She wasn't intimidated.

Lily flipped her hair with a smirk. "Starmie's a whole level above Staryu. You ready for this, Naruto?"

Naruto grinned. "Oh, I was born ready."

The battle was about to kick off!

Naruto grinned, confidence burning in his eyes. "Pikachu, let's end this quickly—use a full-powered Thunder Shock on the water!"

Pikachu leaped high, her heart-shaped tail sparking intensely as she gathered an immense charge.

Lily's eyes widened. "Wait—no way—Starmie, get out of the water! NOW!"

But it was too late.

"Pika… CHUUU!" Pikachu unleashed a massive surge of electricity, striking the water with an explosion of crackling energy.

The battlefield lit up as electric currents spread through the pool, hitting Starmie directly with devastating force.

Starmie twitched uncontrollably, its gem core blinking rapidly before its movements slowed to a halt.

The referee raised a hand. "Starmie is unable to battle! The challenger wins!"

Naruto pumped his fist. "We did it, Pikachu!"

Pikachu cheered, landing on the battlefield with a victorious spark.

Lily sighed but smiled, recalling Starmie. "That was smart—using the battlefield like that. You deserve this." She stepped forward and handed Naruto the Cascade Badge.

Naruto took the badge, holding it up triumphantly.

"On to the next challenge!" he declared.

Naruto grinned as he held up his Cascade Badge, letting his parents see his progress. "Oh, and just so you two don't forget," he said, leaning back in his chair, "this isn't my first badge—I've already got two, just like Ash."

Red smirked, crossing his arms. "Yeah, yeah, I remember. But the real question is—who's winning more battles? You or your brother?"

Naruto huffed. "Obviously me."

Delia giggled. "You both are making such great progress! I'm so proud of you two."

Naruto's Pikachu, perched on his shoulder, flicked her heart-shaped tail, showing her confidence. "Pika!" she chirped in agreement.

Red chuckled. "Alright, kid—two badges down, but plenty more to go. Keep at it."

Naruto smirked. "You know I will."

The call wrapped up, leaving Naruto feeling energized and ready for the next challenge in his journey.
