2. Chapter 2 Dragon Ball Z

Five years have passed since the defeat of Piccolo. Ah Kum power level has stopped naturally increasing at 2500. She spends most of her time helping Tien catch up to her level of power. Tien is as strong as Goku right now. They aren't training as hard since it was a time of peace. Ah Kum does have a tendency to break bones but it goes no further. Luckily most of the time she does break bones she has a senzu bean.

Tien tries his best to console the victims of Ah Kum the best he can. He's gotten a handle of how to deal with different types of people. As long as everything was fine and no lives were lost he did his best to remedy the situation. Tien forces Ah Kum to help rebuild the areas she destroyed in the meantime while profusely apologizing for the mental damage done to them. Some held resentment towards Ah Kum. Most bad guys changed their ways of life. Most good people forgave her until she said that it would be a recurring occurrence.

Ah Kum couldn't care any less about their complaints. She was still scolded by Tien until she apologized, which she did reluctantly. Although she knew she was much stronger than Tien in terms of power she couldn't come close to him in terms of character.

Chiaotzu also tries to keep up his strength with Tien and Ah Kum. Although not as fast to adapt to the constant growth of Ah Kum. He was as strong as Goku during his fight with young King Piccolo. He tries to help Tien and Ah Kum in any way he can.

Launch even found the group of three and started to follow them around. Blond hair Launch joined in the chaos Ah Kum would make. Blue hair Launch would help with the reconciliation that came after. She also grew a bit closer with Tien during this time.

Over with Goku and the others it's the same as in the original timeline. Goku goes to visit Master Roshi, Krillin, and Bulma at Kame House.

A saiyan attack pod lands on earth. And none other than Raditz emerges from the pod. He proceeds to knock out a farmer and leaves to the highest power level Ah Kum. Seeing that her power level was higher than his, he hopes Ah Kum has a reasonable explanation why the weak planet hasn't been conquered already.

Piccolo notices this disturbance and follows the energy signature of Raditz's to the direction of Ah Kum. Piccolo right now is a bit stronger than how he was in the original timeline but not by much since he was instead working on his new special move.

Goku was also a bit stronger in this timeline. Only training enough to be able to beat Piccolo. He also noticed the new energy signature. But since it was heading towards Ah Kum's energy signature he had no worries. Instead he and his son Gohan enjoyed their time reuniting with old friends a while longer.

Raditz arrived at Ah Kum's location. Ah Kum was enjoying her time blowing up a small town laughing gleefully. Tien, Chiaotzu, and Launch (blue haired) were standing a bit away from the mayhem with all of the town's inhabitants. The townspeople were warned a week in advance prior to Ah Kum's destruction to their dismay.

Raditz watches from a distance as the entire town gets blown up block by block. By the end of it Raditz sees Ah Kum go to the humans. He thinks Ah Kum was going to kill any resistance but was shocked to see her joyfully conversing with them. He then goes to confront Ah Kum about it.

Ah Kum then notices Raditz, unable to before because she was having too much fun. "Tien, Chiaotzu. Get ready. A pretty strong person is approaching."

"Who? Is it Piccolo?" Tien asked as he started looking around. Chiaotzu just nods as he also looks around for whoever it may be.

Raditz lands down revealing himself. "Quass! Just what are you doing! Have you conquered this planet!?" Raditz yelled. "And where is Kakarot?!"

"What are you talking about? I think you've mistaken me with someone else." Ah Kum replied. Tien takes note that Raditz's tail was just like Goku's and Ah Kum's.

"Don't tell me. Did you hit your head as a child?"

"You must be confusing me for Goku. He's the one that bumped his head as a child." Ah Kum said, now noticing Raditz's tail wrapped around his waist. "What do you want with him?"

"Then why don't you remember your mission!"

"You're talking nonsense."

Raditz takes another scan at their power level and noticing that Ah Kum had out classed him he says, "If you said that Kakarot hit his head then you both are a lost cause." Not wanting to fight someone stronger than him he makes a call to a certain prince of all saiyan. "Excuse me, Prince Vegeta."

"What is it? Make it quick." A voice spoke from his device on his face.

"It seems that both my brother and Quass have suffered some head trauma when arriving on this planet and have forgotten their mission and their saiyan lineage."

The word saiyan sparks a memory in Ah Kum's mind. A memory of her mother.

"Deal with it then. Although, we will need Quass alive."

"That'll be a bit troublesome. Quass's power level is much higher than mine."

"By how much?"

Raditz is a bit hesitant but says, "Her power level is 2500."

"Hahaha. It's not that much bigger. I'm sure you can deal with them. If you don't respond in a day or two we'll assume you failed and will be coming to clean up your dead body." The call then hangs up.

Raditz begins to laugh out loud nervously. Then looking at Ah Kum he says, "I'll come to deal with you when I deal with Kakarot." Checking his scouter he noticed that there is now only one more strong power level. Assuming this was Kakarot he goes in search of this energy signal.

Tien, Chiaotzu, and Launch watch as Raditz leaves. Tien now notices Ah Kum was lost in thought. "Ah Kum, are you okay?" Ah Kum doesn't respond then Tien goes to shake her awake, "Pull yourself together. Did you notice something?"

"Saiyans? Prince Vegeta? Planet Vegeta? Quass? I'm Quass." In a daze as a flood of forgotten memories comes rushing back. She remembers now and all of it too. "I was sent to this planet with Goku to conquer this planet for Planet Vegeta."

"Ah Kum!" Tien shouts as Ah Kum finally snaps back to reality.

"Do you know that person?" Chiaotzu asked.

"The Earth… Earth is in danger!" Ah Kum shouts.

"Ah Kum calm down. What's going on? Who was that guy and why is the Earth in danger?" Tien asks, holding Ah Kum up.

"I knew it. I shouldn't have just ignored it. It might be too late. If we could gather the dragon balls and—"

Launch (blond-hair) shoots Ah Kum in the head with a gun. The bullet ricochets and embed into a nearby tree. Knocking some sense back into Ah Kum Launch shouts, "That's enough panicking little lady. That's not the Ah Kum I know."

"Launch, you can't just shoot her in the head like that." Tien said in surprise and horror. Looking back at Ah Kum she had calmed down a little bit. There also weren't any bullet wounds on Ah Kum at all.

"Alright." Ah Kum takes a breath slowing her racing heart. "I think I'm calm now." Her face was full of fear.

"Okay good." Launch said and Tien lets go of Ah Kum. "Just who was that guy?"

"I guess I should start from the beginning."

"I'd like to know as well." Piccolo reveals himself.

Everyone then got on their guard. "Piccolo! What are you doing here?" Tien said.

"We have a space invader from Planet Vegeta I hear. I want to get to the bottom of our new visitor as well as any of you." Piccolo said truthfully.

"Like we believe you." Tien stepped up to confront Piccolo.

"I'm not looking for a fight. I told you the truth, I just want to get to the bottom of this as much as you. If you don't believe me I'll leave. I'll just go ask Goku. He's probably more willing to talk than you anyway."

Tien looks back at the civilians and notices that they still have to help rebuild the town. But the current situation takes precedent. "Ah Kum, can you explain what's going on?"

"My true name…" Ah Kum looks up to the sky. "No, my saiyan name is Quass. I'm a low class warrior from Planet Vegeta sent to Earth to conquer it for the saiyan race. I lost my memory when my saiyan pod was hit by an asteroid and cracked the glass causing me to suffocate."

"Is that so? You're not going to follow through with that mission are you." Tien didn't need to ask but he couldn't be sure as of right now. "And you're saying Goku is the same?"

"I wouldn't be able to conquer the planet now. I don't have the heart to do it anymore now that I have you guys. If it was before, if I had all my memories before, I would have chosen to kill you all in my Great Ape form."

"You mean the giant monkey Goku is known to be able to turn into? No way Master Roshi would have destroyed the moon before you could do anything." Launch said.

"But that was before you knew our weakness and before you knew how to deal with our Great Ape form. I would have killed everyone here before you found out about our weakness." Ah Kum feels ashamed just thinking that she would have killed everyone she knew and loved if she didn't lose her memory.

"That didn't happen. So don't focus on things that didn't happen." Tien said to Ah Kum to try and get her back on her feet. "Right now we need to focus. What's our next step? If there's a planet full of strong people like you then we can't just sit around for them to show up."

Meanwhile with Goku. Raditz has kidnapped Gohan and brought him to his space pod. Goku chases after Raditz. Goku would have sought help from Ah Kum or even Piccolo but couldn't since he's in a time crunch to rescue his son.

Returning to Ah Kum, she and Piccolo could sense Goku's energy rising. Ah Kum tells Tien and Chiaotzu that Goku might be in danger because he is weaker than Raditz right now. Understanding the direness of the situation, Tien allows Ah Kum to go with Piccolo to save Goku. Tien, Launch and Chiaotzu stayed behind to help rebuild the town.

Sensing Goku's energy, Ah Kum flies much faster than Piccolo to the scene. Goku is down with Raditz foot stepping on his chest. Ah Kum arrives and lands, catching the attention of Raditz and Goku. Goku breathes a sigh of relief and Raditz is now a bit scared that someone stronger than him is here. He still thinks he has the upper hand since he has a hostage until Gohan got angry enough that his power level spiked above Raditz. Gohan breaks out of the space pod he was trapped in and surprises Raditz with a headbutt to the chest. This deals a significant amount of damage to him. Not that it matters since Ah Kum was already so much stronger than Raditz.

Ah Kum was a bit surprised to see another saiyan kid. Gohan then goes unconscious. Ah Kum looks at the weakened Raditz. "I have a question for you, Raditz."

"So you do remember my name. Finally come back to your senses, Quass?" Raditz was clearly bluffing his confidence.

"I'll give you an ultimatum. One saiyan to another. You leave and tell the rest of the saiyans at Planet Vegeta to ignore this planet or I kill you right now." Ah Kum takes one step forward emitting a murderous aura.

Raditz now hurt and outmatched realized something. "You don't know what happened to Planet Vegeta do you?"

"What are you talking about? What happened to Planet Vegeta?" Ah Kum now confused puts away her murderous aura.

Raditz goes on to explain what happened to the saiyan race and the planet. That besides them there were only two other saiyans alive. That being Prince Vegeta and Nappa.

Ah Kum's power level starts wavering at the revelation. Raditz takes this opportunity to fire a Double Sunday at Ah Kum. Ah Kum managed to pull herself together in time and block. She gets hit with the blast but it doesn't hurt her too badly. Ah Kum then quickly choke holds Raditz so that he couldn't spew any more mind altering revelations to her.

"Wait. Don't kill me. Please. I promise to leave and never come back." Raditz manages to choke out some words.

"I can see why Prince Vegeta treats you so poorly. You have no pride as a saiyan. You're no warrior. You're just a coward. I can't see how you're related to Goku."

Ah Kum was about to break Raditz's neck until Goku shouts, "Wait! D-don't do it!" Goku slowly gets up. "If there are only five of us left that's more reason not to kill him."

"But why? He's not going to change in a day! He's not like me. He has no reason not to destroy this planet! He's not like you. He has a heart of pure evil!" Ah Kum shouts, loosening her grip so that Raditz could somewhat breathe.

"Give him time. You'll see. He's not so different from us."

"Time is not on our side," Kami shows up. Everyone's focused on him. "The two saiyans coming to Earth are much stronger than anything you've faced so far. You of all people should know, Ah Kum, now that you've regained your memories."

"There wasn't much to remember." Ah Kum throws Raditz down and knocks him out before continuing. "Why are you here Kami?"

"I have a way for both of you to get stronger. Strong enough to defeat the saiyans."

Bulma and crew then arrived. Piccolo was watching from afar hiding his energy. Kami explained going to train with King Kai. Goku agrees and Ah Kum refuses. Ah Kum explained that Raditz is still a problem and that Goku and her leavening would leave the Earth defenseless. So she insisted for Goku to go by himself.

Goku agrees as he eats a senzu bean. Kami reluctantly agrees as he takes Goku to Other World. Ah Kum then takes Raditz and leaves. Piccolo then shows up as Master Roshi, Krillin, and Bulma begin to leave on their ship with Gohan, kidnapping Gohan to train him for the upcoming fight with the saiyan. Before Krillin could call out for Ah Kum's help he gets knocked out by Piccolo.

Ah Kum flies back to the person he trusts most, Tien. It was getting to sundown. Tien and Chiaotzu were a bit surprised when Ah Kum came back with the unconscious Raditz. Ah Kum explains the situation. Knowing that the full moon was going to be out, they decided to remove Raditz's tail. Soon Raditz wakes up and notices his tail was missing. Ah Kum was there waiting for him to wake up. They are deep in a cave.

"So, you're finally awake." Ah Kum speaks.

"Why are you keeping me alive? I thought you said you'd kill me." Raditz smirks. "You still have questions for me don't you?"

"It's not a question, it's more of a demand."

"It's not like I can say no. I'm dead if I do dead if I don't. What do you want from me?"

"We'll wait until daybreak. For now rest. Oh before I forget, eat this." Ah Kum tosses a senzu bean towards Raditz. "I broke your scouter so don't bother asking for it." Ah Kum turns around, throws a capsule down and a capsule house appears. "Don't try escaping, I'll just break your arms and legs and drag you back here."

Ah Kum entered the house. Raditz doesn't look very enthusiastic about the whole situation. Not wanting to stay he tries to leave quietly but a ki blast hits him in the legs. Raditz's leg immediately goes numb as he falls to the ground. Ah Kum steps out of the house. "I said don't try to escape." She shoots a ki blast disabling Raditz's arm. Then she goes and picks up Raditz and throws him back at the end of the cave. "Try that again and I'll turn you into a vegetable."

Raditz, not wanting the repeat of the same situation, doesn't try to escape. He doesn't rest the entire night. The next day arrives. Ah Kum wakes up to find Raditz awake and the senzu bean she tossed to him on the ground. She picked up the senzu bean and said, "Why did you not eat it?"

When Raditz opened his mouth to answer, Ah Kum shoves the bean in his mouth forcing Raditz to eat it. When she is sure that he's eaten the bean she backs away. Raditz goes to retaliate but notices that his arms and legs are healed. "What did you make me eat?!"

"I like to break things and I enjoy fixing the things I break. That's who I am. I'm not a saiyan warrior and neither are you. If you were, you wouldn't have given up so easily." Ah Kum said as she headed towards the exit of the cave. "I know I can't change you completely but I don't want to kill you either since there is already so little of us left."

"You're not afraid I might just blow up the planet?"

"Don't be stupid. You'd die without your space pod." Continuing down the path to the exit she said, "Just follow me." She then flies to the exits and waits for Raditz.

A moment later Raditz comes out to see the morning sun on top of a tall mountain. Raditz could feel a sort of comforting energy in the air. The wind howls through his hair. Clear blue skies above his head. Animals sing out to one another. The ground far below is lush with tall trees and plant life. Raditz had never taken the time to look at or for these sites. Compared to his usual sites of destruction and chaos filled streets, blood stained hands, and smoking skies. Something about the sights he sees disgust him.

Ah Kum takes a deep breath in and out. She stretches her arms and legs before sitting at the cliff side. She smiles as she overlooks the whole area. "I love this sight in the morning. It's even better when night falls."

"What's there to love about watching a bunch of animals and plants?" Raditz stays a distance away from Ah Kum. "You're a disgrace of a saiyan warrior."

"The pot calling the kettle black. I'll have you know I've completely destroyed this area once already. It's been eight years since then. And look at how high the mountains are. Look at how much life was brought back with just a little bit of time."

"So why do you want me to see this? It's not going to change anything. I can't see escape since my pod was destroyed. I can't call for help since you destroyed my scouter. I can't even kill you since you're stronger. All this is just prolonging the date of my death."

"You know what. You're nothing like Goku." Ah Kum turned to look at Raditz with disappointment.

"And By Goku I assume you mean my brother Kakarot. Speaking of which, where is he?" Raditz uncaringly asked Ah Kum.

"He's going to train to be strong enough to beat Prince Vegeta."

Raditz laughs. Then in a mocking tone he says, "You really think us low class saiyans stand a chance to beat the elites with just a little bit of training. You all must have gone crazy. If all it took was a little bit of training I would have already beat Frieza by now!"

Ah Kum shrugs. "Believe what you want. Goku is your only hope to survive to see the next sun rise. It's always been Son Goku."

Raditz then exclaims, "The moment Prince Vegeta arrives I'll be saved! It'll be you who will be in trouble!"

They banter a bit longer until Tien, Chiaotzu, and Launch arrive. She introduces Goku's brother to the group to Raditz's annoyance. They already knew who he was from the earlier explanation but Ah Kum just wanted to formally introduce him now that he was awake. Tien then explained that Kami had offered them to train on The Lookout in preparation for the saiyans. Ah Kum said she'll join them later because she wants to do something with Raditz first. Tien trusts Ah Kum to handle Goku's brother so they leave with Launch.

Before leaving Tien side-eyes Raditz saying, "If you try to do anything to her you're dead."

Ah Kum plans to show Raditz what living on planet Earth is like. It takes her a year to make some headway to Raditz's phychie. She tells him her story on earth, the good and the bad. She doesn't expect anything back from Raditz but by the end of the first year since Raditz has arrived on Earth, Raditz finally decided to speak up about his own stories of conquering planets. Half a year later Raditz decided that he didn't want to see earth destroyed or conquered by the Frieza Force. Ah Kum now trusts Raditz enough to leave him alone for the next two years as she goes to Tien on The Lookout.

Kami keeps a close watch on Raditz. Tien, not surprised, knew Ah Kum could change someone like Raditz with time. Krillin is just happy that Goku's brother is on their side now. Yamcha is blissfully unaware what kind of person Goku's brother was. Tien and Krillin were now stronger than Raditz by the time she arrived. They're quickly catching up to Ah Kum's strength. Ah Kum knowing that Goku would be tremendously stronger than her when he comes back she also trains with the others as much as she can.

Bulma has the dragon balls gathered in case anything happens.

During the end of the second year Raditz encounters a lone Gohan. Approaching carefully, making sure to let Gohan know he's there. Gohan instinctively cowers in fear. Then remembering his training he stood his ground fear still written all over his face.

"Stand down kid. I'm not here to hurt you this time."

"Y-you're that evil man who beat up my dad!" Gohan tries his best to be strong. "I'll have you know it's going to be different this time!"

"That's no way to talk to your uncle. I'm not going to apologize for what I've done but at least I know how much potential you have compared to me. The way you stand your ground and fight even though you know your opponent is leagues above you is just like how Quass described your father to be. "

"My dad is going to come back! And when he does you're going to be sorry!"

"Say what now kid!" Raditz stares very intently at Gohan. "Just because you can speak up for yourself now doesn't mean you should be picking fights with everyone."

"I'd take a step back if I were you." Piccolo said flying above them. "What are you doing here, Raditz?"

"Well if it isn't the Namekian. What business do you have here?" Raditz replied back.

"Ah Kum and Goku may have wanted to keep you alive but if you try anything I'll kill you myself."

"Oh I like to see you try. Last time I checked you were weaker than—"

Piccolo then easily, without Raditz even noticing, humbles the saiyan. Raditz's face plants itself to the ground. "Weaker than who now?"

Raditz angrily gets up and jumps away from Piccolo. "What did you do just now!?

"It's called training. You could learn a thing or two from it."

Raditz, feeling outmatched, decides to move on from this confrontation. "You'll regret that." Raditz shouts as he flies away.

Sooner or later the three year training period was over. Goku had contacted Bulma through King Kai not to waste the wish to teleport Goku back. He'll be making his way back down Snake Way. It's up to Ah Kum and the others to hold the fort until he arrives.

Everyone soon senses Vegeta's and Nappa's ki signatures as they land in their saiyan attack pods. Nappa blows up an entire city before all of Earth's mighty warriors could gather. When everyone does arrive Ah Kum was the first to sense the difference in power they had compared to Vegeta and Nappa.

Each group takes a moment to just stare and take a good look at each other. Nothing but the sound of the whistling winds could be heard.

"I'll keep it short. Quass, you will be my spouse." Vegeta spoke.

"And if I refuse?" Ah Kum asked.

"I'll destroy this planet you care so much about then take you by force if need be." Vegeta shrugs.

"You should be grateful that we didn't kill everyone here already!" Nappa comments.

Ah Kum notices the scared but strong little Gohan. She learned about the fact that he was kidnapped by Piccolo but she decided not to do anything about it. She believed that if he was Goku's kid he would find a way to escape on his own. But now that she knows just how outmatched they were, Ah Kum crouches down meeting Gohan on eye level. "Gohan, you may not know who I am but I want to give you something that I never got when I was your age."

Vegeta and Nappa wait to see what Ah Kum does. Tien and Chiaotzu could guess what Ah Kum wanted to give Gohan. Piccolo watches. Krillin and Yamcha are confused at the situation but also watch in silence. Gohan felt a bit calmer like how he feels when his dad is around. Gohan meets Ah Kum's eyes and it's like the doubts he had about himself disappeared.

"I'm giving you a choice. Stay and fight. Or you could leave right now. Become the scholar you want to be." Ah Kum places her hand on Gohan's shoulders. "You don't have to be like your dad because that's my job."

Gohan takes a moment to make his choice. "I want to stay and fight. I heard from Mr. Piccolo that if you had wanted me to stay out of the fight you would have stopped my training with Mr. Piccolo. You believe I have potential to be stronger than my dad too and I don't want to disappoint!"

Ah Kum smiles then she noogies Gohan's head. "You've made your choice. Don't regret it." Ah Kum stands back up and faces Vegeta. "Vegeta, prince of all saiyans. I refuse your proposal!"

"Well then. You heard her Nappa."

"Loud and clear." Nappa begins planting Saibamans. "We'll test just how strong they are with these."

The Saibamans began to sprout from the ground one by one, totalling 7. Ah Kum knows they aren't a threat. Yamcha volunteered to be the first to fight a Saibaman. Luckily for him his power level is double the Saibamans so even though the Saibaman did self-destruct, Yamcha he was still hanging on.

Power levels of Z Fighters right now:

Yamcha - 2500

Chiaotzu - 2300

Krillin - 3000

Gohan - 2800

Tien - 3500

Piccolo - 3500

Ah Kum 5000

"Nappa! Deal with the humans and the Namekian! The Saibaman are too weak to kill anyone here. I'll handle our soon to be princess."

"It would be my pleasure." Nappa gets ready to fight everyone but Ah Kum.

"Everyone, we need to hold out until Goku gets back. None of us are strong enough to beat Vegeta right now!"

Vegeta then gut punches Ah Kum before anyone could register. For the first time in her life she felt like she couldn't do anything. Recovering quickly, she kicks Vegeta into the air and chases after. Ah Kum knows she's outmatched but she just wants to protect Tien and Chiaotzu for as long as she can.

Tien wants to go after Ah Kum and Vegeta but Nappa swats him to the ground. "I'm not letting anyone interrupt their lovely date."

"I'll just have to make quick work of you then." Tien recovers and gets into a fighting stance.

Everyone else gets ready as the remaining Saibaman charges in to attack. Krillin, not wasting any time with one attack, takes care of the rest of the Saibaman easily. The rest except Piccolo joined in the fight against Nappa.

Piccolo charges a Special Beam Cannon. Nappa has a lot more of a difficult time dealing with everyone all at once. Although they weren't doing enough damage. Piccolo realizes this as he sees an opening and unleashes his Special Beam Cannon catching everyone by surprise. Everyone except Raditz.

Raditz with a Double Sunday manages to deflect the beam. Everyone then focuses on Raditz who revealed himself flying towards everyone.

"So you're still alive, Raditz." Nappa says. "You're in good luck then. Help me deal with these maggots and we might let you in our good grace again."

Raditz doesn't say anything but he does help out Nappa with fighting the Z fighters. His power level is 3500. He took Ah Kum and Piccolo's words into account and trained for a bit. But not knowing how to train hindered his growth. Piccolo could see it in his eyes that Raditz was conflicted on who he should side with.

Tien was the first to notice Raditz and his indecision but seeing as how he chose to fight against them he assumed Raditz had made his choice. With the help from Raditz it was starting to look somewhat of a fairer fight. Although the saiyans were winning just by a bit. Piccolo and Tien take on Nappa while Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotuz, and Gohan face off against Raditz.

Over with Ah Kum it was not going so well. Although she looks like she is winning the battle, connecting all her punches and kicks, Vegeta has taken no damage. After landing one punch intending to send Vegeta flying again, Vegeta doesn't budge an inch.

He slowly turns his head to face Ah Kum. "Was that all the power you have? I admit you're stronger than Nappa and Raditz combined but you're still weaker than me." Vegeta smirks.

Ah Kum backs away to catch her breath. "I expect no less from our prince. Try taking this attack then." Ah Kum charges her own signature move. "I didn't have a name for this attack before! But now I do." Vegeta can feel that Ah Kum's energy level is increasing rapidly even without a scouter. Still confident in his defense he waits and sees what kind of attack Ah Kum would make. "Clearing Sky!" A large white beam of ki is launched at Vegeta.

Vegeta takes the hit and after the smoke clears Ah Kum was almost depleted of all of her energy. At least that was what it looked like for Ah Kum. Vegeta had actually chosen at the last moment to dodge the attack. "I admit that the attack you fired off felt strong. You've earned my respect." Ah Kum looked around in a panic not being able to sense Vegeta. "It makes me want you even more."

Ah Kum kicks behind her where Vegeta's voice was and he blocks the kick. "So you're scared to take that attack from me." Ah Kum smirks as she charges up for the same attack. Vegeta doesn't let her charge up because he knows the attack might actually be able to kill him if anything it could severely injure him.

Vegeta kicks Ah Kum to the ground and chases after. Ah Kum crashes to the ground on her back. Vegeta sticks one more stomp onto Ah Kum's gut. Already low on energy the attack left Ah Kum unconscious. Vegeta steps off of Ah Kum. He calls in his space pod and when it arrives he places Ah Kum in it. He then flies back to see what's happening with Nappa.

Goku has arrived at The Lookout and is quickly making his way to the battle. Nappa was having some trouble dealing with the different techniques of both Piccolo and Tien. Raditz is having a much easier time with Yamcha, Krillin, Gohan, and Chiaotzu.

The Z fighters felt the moment Ah Kum energy signature spiked then suddenly disappeared or at the very least it was so weak now they couldn't sense her. But at the same time they could sense Goku's energy signature quickly approaching. A sense of worry and relief washed over them but they didn't have time to deal with this as they were still in the middle of a battle.

Vegeta, the first to arrive, noticed that Raditz had joined them. The fighting stops for the moment as Vegeta lands down. "Nappa why haven't you felt with the earthlings already. Raditz I'm surprised you're still alive. We've got what we came here for, kill them already."

"What did you do to Ah Kum!" Tien shouts at Vegeta.

"I've just done a little bit of convincing. What are you going to do about it?" Vegeta grins. Tien flies straight to Vegeta intending to punch him but Vegeta catches the punch. "I think it would break her spirit once she figures out you are all dead." Vegeta fires a point blank ki blast at Tien. Tien tried to escape but it was far too late as the blast engulfed him, killing him on the spot.

"Tien!" Krillin and Chiaotzu shouts.

The unconscious Ah Kum is awoken to Tien signature completely disappearing. She notices that she was in a saiyan space pod. With her memories restored she tried opening the pod by pressing the buttons within it but it wouldn't open. She had low ki and couldn't even move her legs. Managing to push herself against the window she tried breaking it with a punch but it did nothing.

Goku on the Flying Nimbus notices Tien's energy signature disappear. He could still feel a faint and weak energy signature coming from Ah Kum a bit away from everyone else. He could tell that if he didn't arrive soon more of his friends might start dying.

After Vegeta killed Tien he moved on to Yamcha. Krillin however flings a Destructo Disk at Vegeta just before Vegeta could point black blast at Yamcha. Vegeta quickly dodges the attack saying, "The people on this planet do have strong attacks. Too bad it'll never hit anything." Vegeta suddenly appeared before Krillin going for the kill but Chiaotzu manages to stall Vegeta just long enough with his telekinetic powers for Krillin to escape the ki blast.

"I deal with this runt." Nappa says as he shoots a ki blast towards Chiaotzu.

Yamcha goes and pushes Chiaotzu out of the way. The ki blast hits Yamcha with full force, almost killing Yamcha on the spot.

"Yamcha!" Krillin shouts.

Yamcha falls over to the ground. "It's okay Krillin. It's better for us to die first. You two have already gotten wished back once already. Make sure to… survive until… Goku… gets here." Yamcha breathed out before he died.

Gohan was horrified at the sight of seeing the death of Tien and Yamcha. Although he didn't know them for long he still felt saddened by their death. Raditz sees this as a perfect opportunity to kill his brother's son but a part of him held him back. He charges a ki attack and was about to launch it at Gohan but he couldn't fire the attack.

Everyone notices this and Vegeta was the first to speak up about it. "What's wrong, Raditz? Kill the kid already. We don't need any filthy half breeds. Or is it that being on this planet made you so soft you can't even kill a kid anymore."

Gohan stares at Raditz with fear in his eyes. He recalls the talk with Ah Kum just before the fight. He had chosen to stay and fight. If he dies now it was no one's fault but his. Raditz then fires his attack towards Gohan but he intentionally misses the attack. Raditz couldn't bring himself to kill Gohan.

"You have gone soft, Raditz. You're a disgrace to the saiyan warrior." Nappa said.

"You're wrong. I've never been a saiyan warrior. I've always lived under your shadow. Fearing being killed by anyone stronger than me. But Quass. No… Ah Kum had shown me that I of all people could overcome this fear. And my kid brother's son proves this to be true. And so I'll take my step out of your shadow now!" Raditz launched a Double Sunday at Vegeta. "I have never felt more like a saiyan warrior now than anytime in my entire life!"

Vegeta seemingly teleports behind Raditz before the attack had even hit a target. "Then I guess you should die like the other so-called saiyan warriors." Vegeta then seemingly stabs his hand through Raditz's chest. The blast hits the ground causing an explosion covering the area in dust. After the dust clears Vegeta was confused as to why he didn't feel the sensation of his hand piercing through a chest.

"It looks like you did change, brother." Goku has arrived. He easily moved Raditz away from Vegeta before any more harm could be done.

"Goku!" Krillin shouts in relief.

"Dad!" Gohan shouts for joy.

"I'm sorry for being late. Where's Ah Kum?"

"She was fighting with that guy before disappearing." Krillin then points at Vegeta.

"So you're Kakarot. A family reunion. I guess you can die together." Vegeta said as he landed onto the ground. Nappa does the same followed by everyone else who were still in the sky.

Now that Goku has arrived the battle goes back to normal for a while. Only this time Piccolo and Chiaotzu are still alive. When the time comes where Goku needed to charge up the Spirit Bomb Raditz and Piccolo joined in to fight. Yajirobe still cuts off Vegeta's tail and Gohan still reflects the Spirit bomb to Vegeta. Vegeta lay defeated with both Raditz and Piccolo both beaten to near death. Gohan turned into an oozaru fighting Nappa and was hurt badly. Nappa is beaten unconscious after turning into an oozaru. Krillin and Chiaotzu were the only ones left still able to move. Goku was depleted of energy so it was hard for him to move. Vegeta called over his space pod to escape. Goku tells Krillin and Chiaotzu not to kill Vegeta. Although it was hard to not want to kill Vegeta right then and there they listen to Goku.

Vegeta's space pod arrives and out steps Ah Kum. She had given up on breaking out and focused on recovering her energy. She steps out standing over Vegeta. She could tell that Yamcha and Tien were no longer alive. She didn't want to believe that Tien was dead and so she got angry. So angry that she ignored Vegeta and went over to Goku and kicked him in the face. This action confused everyone except Goku.

Goku understood why he got kicked. And he just takes it without resisting not that he could resist. Ah Kum controlled her power enough so that it wouldn't kill Goku. She then shouts, "If you had just gotten here a little bit faster! I swear if I wasn't for the fact we could wish them back with the dragon balls I'd kill you where you stand!"

Vegeta takes this moment to escape. He is made aware of the dragon ball and their wish granting abilities. But so does a certain space emperor.

Ah Kum, ignoring all wishes from Goku not to destroy the space pod, charges a Dodon Ray pointed directly at Vegeta. And then she suddenly stops and falls to her knees crying. She wasn't angry anymore. She was just sad and disappointed in herself. She once again allowed another of her friends to die on her watch. She noticed that when Goku arrived no one else had died. She just cries not knowing what else to do. Chiaotzu goes over to comfort Ah Kum.

Time skips to a day later. Bulma brought back everyone who died to Vegeta and Nappa back to life. Tien and Ah Kum reunite. Yamcha is just surprised they remembered to bring him back. Raditz apologized to everyone for what he did as he is recovering with Goku in a hospital bed. No one trusted Nappa so they sent him on his way to wherever he needed to head to next in his space pod when he woke up.

Ah Kum knows that the battle may be over but the war is still ongoing. Frieza is the biggest threat of them all. If she can't beat the prince who can't beat Frieza then she needs to get stronger. So strong that no one will ever die in her presence ever again. Now that she understands what she needs to be working towards she secluded herself to training. Tien wanted to follow but she told him not to. Ah Kum had Bulma work on her space pod during the three years training for the saiyans and Ah Kum uses her newly refurbished spaceship to leave into space to train her body and mind.

Raditz warns them about how Vegeta might be aiming for the dragon balls on planet Namek since Ah Kum was shouting about them so carefree. Raditz knows about the dragon because Ah Kum had told him about them when he was under her watch. And not only him but a much greater evil Lord Frieza. With that being said all the Z fighters ready themselves to travel into space and fight this tyrant called Frieza.

Everyone except Tien and Chiaotzu was willing to go. Their reason being that they didn't want Ah Kum to come back and see that they might be dead in space when she's not around. If Frieza was as strong as Raditz said he was then they would also need someone to defend Earth.

Days later Krillin, Yamcha, Gohan, and Bulma get ready to head to planet Namek. Piccolo chooses to stay behind. Chi Chi heavily opposes Gohan going but with enough convincing from Gohan she eventually allows Gohan to go.

Over with Nappa and Vegeta they both arrived somewhat safely at a Frieza Force base and healed back to full health. Nappa apologizes for failing the prince. Vegeta feels like killing Nappa but instead focuses on the wish granting orbs. The only one there that may be capable of creating these wish granting dragon balls would be the Namekians. So to Planet Namek they go.

Frieza had only sent his forces to investigate the rumors of these wish granting orbs and hasn't gone to planet Namek yet.

The Z fighters are a few days behind and eventually arrive. They managed to save Dende and his brother Cargo from some Frieza soldiers. Frieza having confirmed the existence of the dragon balls and their wish granting abilities quickly made his way to planet Namek. Goku and Raditz would arrive two days after Frieza and his forces. The two brothers bonded with each other while training in their spaceship.

Vegeta and Nappa had landed a few days before the Z fighters. They managed to gather two dragon balls before encountering the Z fighters. A small confrontation was about to happen until Vegeta senses Frieza and his forces. Vegeta then suggested an alliance with the mutual goal of defeating Frieza. The Z fighters, knowing they are outmatched without Goku or Ah Kum, agrees to this alliance. The group gathered five of the Namekian dragon balls.

Frieza and his forces had managed to collect the remaining two. Dodoria was dealt with fairly easily with the combined help of all the Z fighters. Zarbon was a bit difficult but with Dende and Cargo as healers they managed to defeat Zarbon without any casualty.

With the death of Zarbon and Dodoria, Frieza called in the Ginyu Force. The Z fighters know well not to engage in a fight with Frieza until Goku arrives. Vegeta and Nappa also felt the same and were thinking about stealing the two dragon balls Frieza had from under his nose. But when the Ginyu Force landed the plan quickly changed to only surviving the Ginyu force until Goku arrived.

Since there was and equal number of fighters in both parties they each take on a fight. The match up goes:

Gohan vs Guldo

Krillin vs Jeice

Yamcha vs Burter

Nappa vs Recoome

Vegeta vs Captain Ginyu

It's safe to say that none of the Z fighters are strong enough at this point in time to win any of their battles with the Ginyu forces. Each one of them gets beaten badly to near death before Goku and Raditz arrive just in the nick of time to save the group from a Ginyu Force finishing move. They give the Z fighters each a senzu bean including Vegeta and Nappa. Raditz has grown just as strong as Goku and makes quick work of the most problematic Guldo. Then Recoome was the next to fall. Burter was going to be next but Ginyu stepped up to fight instead.

The fiasco with Captain Ginyu and Goku switching bodies then ensues. Raditz easily puts a stop to this due to being around Goku's level and Ginyu not being able to access Goku's full power. Ginyu is swapped back into his old body then into a frog. Seeing as their captain was now a frog Jeice and Burter made a strategic retreat but were stopped by Vegeta and Nappa. With their zenkai boost it was more than enough for them to kill Jeice and Burter. Vegeta then also went to confirm the kills against the rest of the Ginyu Force.

With the death of the Ginyu Forces, Frieza was starting to lose his patience and he made his way to the last signal of the Ginyu Forces. This left the two dragon balls he had basically unguarded. The Z fighters take this chance to hide and let Goku recover. Vegeta takes this chance to steal the dragon ball from everyone. When Frieza found out about his stolen dragon balls he started to indiscriminately kill all of the Namekian to draw out the Z fighters.

Vegeta and Nappa managed to steal all of the dragon balls but didn't know how to activate them. Assuming they needed a Namekian they go and search for one. This left the dragon ball again unguarded and the Z fighters swooped in and stole the dragon balls back.

They wished for Piccolo, Ah Kum, Tien, and Chiaotzu to be teleported there for extra help against Frieza. Tien and Chiaotzu wanted to go but refused because they wanted to be on Earth just in case Ah Kum came back. Ah Kum refuses out right saying that they should ask for her help when someone has died. Piccolo accepts being teleported randomly onto planet Namek

Vegeta caught a glimpse of the dragon and quickly rushed back. But Raditz was just a bit stronger than Vegeta at this point in time so Vegeta couldn't strong arm his way in to wish for his immortality like he wanted to. They did try to wish for Frieza to disappear but the dragon could do nothing to affect the evil space emperor. They had two wishes until Guru sadly passed away before they could think of any more wishes.

First Form Frieza Approaches.

Fear in everyone's eyes as they could feel the strong evil energy coming from Frieza. Frieza was extra annoyed as he got off his hover pod. "So this is where the scuttling little worms are. You see, I see the work you've done and I've got to say… I'm pissed!" Frieza's energy level spikes as he blows up his hoverpod.

Vegeta, the first to approach, makes quick work of First Form Frieza. Vegeta goes on to spout on about being the legendary super saiyan.

Frieza then changes into his second form. Piccolo arrives, fused with Nail, easily dealt with Second Form Frieza. Krillin also got impaled but survived due to Dende's and Cargo's healing.

Frieza then changes into his third form. Raditz finally stepped up and dealt with this form easily. He has confidence that he could beat Frieza even when he uses his final form.

Vegeta was angry at how much stronger Raditz was compared to him. He wanted an answer to how he got so strong when not too long ago he was much weaker than him and Nappa. Raditz answers with one word, "Training." He then winks over at Piccolo. Piccolo clicks his tongue knowing that Raditz was stronger than him as of right now.

When the fight with Final Form Frieza began Raditz was swatted away by Frieza. Raditz knew it was going to be a difficult battle but he didn't know that Frieza would be that strong. Vegeta, even with two last zenkai boosts, was the first fighter to go down. Dende followed soon after being the first healer to be downed. Goku arrived a moment too late to save the two. Vegeta with his dying breath told everyone about the Legendary Super Saiyan. He placed all his hopes on Kakarot. Cargo snapped out of his fear and managed to get to Raditz and heal him.

Nappa, enraged at Vegeta's death, charges in and gets knocked out by Frieza. He's on the brink of death.

"That's enough, Frieza!" Goku shouts as he punches Frieza across the face. This sends the galactic emperor flying across the sky. Goku then takes this moment of calm to bury Vegeta. Frieza quickly flies back with even more anger on his face.

The fight between Goku and Frieza then began. It all then culminated into a Spirit Bomb launch at Frieza. The Spirit Bomb hits and Frieza is vanquished. Everyone celebrates a battle well fought. Nappa, now healed, is at a loss to what his purpose is now that Vegeta is dead. Cargo is deeply saddened about the many lives lost on planet Namek but is determined to rebuild.

The celebration ends with death beams from the still alive Frieza. Raditz and Cargo go down immediately. Piccolo is hit, managing to push Gohan away from the beam aimed towards him. None was fired at Goku and Krillin. But a much worse fate befallen Krillin as Frieza floats him up and explodes Krillin from the inside out.

Goku now fully understands how Ah Kum felt letting those she cared about die in front of her eyes. This time he wasn't strong enough to defeat the enemy and had to watch his friends die in front of his eyes, unable to do anything. Ah Kum was always there in time but never strong enough. Goku was always strong enough but never there in time.

Now Ah Kum wasn't there and she would never make it in time. Goku was strong but not strong enough. But where Ah Kum would lose herself in rage, Goku takes control of his rage. The anger builds within Goku. His brother is down, his friend is dead. His enemy is alive and ready to kill again.

Goku grunts with anger. His hair spikes up. Lighting crackles around. Small debris floats into the air as the ground below crack open. The sky itself darkens. Goku then unleashes a mighty roar. His hair turns blond and eyes green.

The Legendary Super Saiyan Is Born.

Goku then engages with Frieza in a deadly battle. He was slowly but surely winning the battle. Frieza wouldn't go down so easily however as he tries to blow up the planet. The 5 minute timer began to count down.

Meanwhile with Yamcha and Bulma. They meet back with Gohan carrying both Piccolo and Raditz who are still alive. Cargo was dead and Gohan didn't really care about Nappa but decided he couldn't leave anyone alive behind. They gather whoever is left of the Nemekian and try to get on a spaceship to escape planet Namek but suddenly every Namekian and also Vegeta was brought back to life.

Dende, surprised to still be alive and first to notice the dragon alive again, was then telepathically told by Elder Guru to wish everyone besides Goku and Frieza to be teleported to planet Earth.

Everyone was confused the moment they teleported to Earth. Even Kami and King Kai were confused. Not because of everyone being teleported to Earth but by the fact that every Namekian killed during this whole ordeal was brought back to life. Especially so since it hasn't been a year since the Earth's dragon balls were used and the Namek's dragon balls had turned to stone. There wasn't a whole lot of time to worry about this since Goku had defeated Frieza and was now looking for a way to escape but the planet was blown up before they could see Goku escape. Everyone then mourns for the supposed death of Goku.

Ah Kum looking at two ping pong sized dragon balls knew however that Goku was fine because Goku wasn't like her who died failing to protect anyone.

A time skip of one hundred and thirty days then occurs. During that time Elder Guru dies again and Moori takes over as the next elder of the Namekian race. Ah Kum still hasn't returned to Earth and King Kai is having a hard time finding her. Vegeta and Nappa are slowly but surely growing accustomed to life on earth. Yamcha and Bulma eventually broke up within this time. Vegeta has grown a liking to Bulma and Bulma feels the same but nothing has yet to bloom. Raditz is also still there to keep Vegeta and Nappa in check. He also grows closer to Gohan telling tales of the saiyan race to which Gohan was not a very big fan of with all the death and gore. Piccolo is doing Piccolo things and meditates. Tien and Chiaotzu, now that everyone was back from their space adventure, had asked Kami to take them to King Kai to train, which Kami allowed.

They summon Porunga and this was also when they found out that Goku was still alive and did not wish to be teleported to Earth. Neither did Ah Kum want to come back to earth anytime soon. Everyone says their goodbyes to the Namekian as they wished for Porunga to teleport to a hidden planet unknown to anyone.

More days pass and soon everyone on earth could sense Freiza and his father King Cold. The Z fighters all gather at the supposed landing spot of Frieza. Everyone is on edge since Goku is not landing on Earth anytime soon nor was Ah Kum. Although Raditz and Vegeta being there was reassuring even they didn't think they could win against Frieza and King Cold both at once.

It all intensifies as Frieza and King Cold step out of their spaceship with their elite forces. And it all just stops as a platoon of Freiza soldiers fall dead. A mysterious purple haired man, wielding a sword, lands down near Frieza and King Cold. The Z fighters choses to stay away from this conflict. A moment later everyone senses another huge power level coming their way. It wasn't Goku since no one recognizes the energy signature. It even caught the mysterious man by surprise as the spaceship landed directly on top of Frieza's spaceship.

When the dust settles Ah Kum walks out of the destroyed ship. "Phew! I'm so glad no space rocks decided to ruin my return trip!" She looks up to see unfamiliar faces. Ah Kum has never actually seen Frieza or King Cold in person. This mysterious purple-haired man feels familiar but she couldn't put a finger on it. "So… Who am I beating up first." She narrowed her eyes at both parties.

"Not just one interloper but two. I've grown tired of this." Frieza shoots a Death Beam at both the mysterious man and Ah Kum. They both easily deflect the beam. "What?!"

"So, I guess you must be Frieza." Ah Kum says with a smirk.

"And you are going to be dead in the next few seconds." Frieza said offhandedly.

"Hey! Do you mind?" The mysterious man spoke to Ah Kum.

Ah Kum looked at the man and then back at Frieza. She then noticed that everyone was just a bit away from them. "Well if you insist." Ah Kum flies over to the Z fighters shouting, "Hey guys! How's it going?" Noticing Vegeta and Nappa but not Tiean and Chiaotzu made her face scowl.

Frieza was going to shoot another Death Beam at Ah Kum but the mysterious man stopped him. And, while the events with the mysterious man played out the same with him going super saiyan and killing both King Cold and Frieza, Ah Kum goes to catch up with how everyone is doing.

After the mysterious man finishes off King Cold and Frieza the group goes over to him. Everyone but Ah Kum was on guard. "So Mr. Super Saiyan, who are you?" Ah Kum spoke casually as she was the first to land down.

"I'm heading to a place near here to meet Goku. I think I could answer a few questions then." The mysterious man said.

"Okay." Ah Kum waved over to the group and said, "Let's follow the guy. He's going to a different location to meet Goku!" Everyone is suspicious about the man but chooses to follow as they fly over a distance away before landing.

The mysterious man then takes out a capsule and a small refrigerator appears. "How about a cold drink? Goku's not due to arrive until two more hours. It's pretty hot and dry out here." The man opens a can and drinks it. A moment later Gohan and Bulma go grab a drink.

A couple of questioning later the man refuses to answer the simple question of what his name was. Vegeta refuses to believe that he was a super saiyan. Everyone was still very suspicious of the man except for Ah Kum who was still very casual.

"Ah Kum, why are you being so casual with that man? Do you know him or something?" Krillin asked.

"Nope, no idea. But it's not worth worrying about someone weaker than me." Ah Kum shrugs.

"Don't tell me!" Raditz stutters. "You've also become a super saiyan!" Vegeta overhears this conversation and so does the mysterious man. Everyone was waiting in anticipation for her answer.

Ah Kum just cried out laughing then said, "Super Saiyan. That old fairy tale. You're funny. If you think a change in hair color is enough to be a super saiyan then we've already got one. Her name is Launch."

"Oh, so you're saying you're stronger than this man who is supposedly a super saiyan. Prove it. Fight him." Vegeta interjects.

"Pfft. If he's a super saiyan and I beat him does that make me a super saiyan?" Ah Kum takes a quick glance at the mysterious man and readies herself for a fight.

"Umm. I don't want to fight anyone. There is no need to. Once Goku arrives I'll explain everything." The mysterious man said quickly knowing how battle hungry saiyans can be.

"How much longer until Goku arrives?"

The mysterious man checks his watch then looks at Ah Kum nervously. "One hour."

"That's enough time then." Ah Kum got into a fighting stance.

The man starts to panic just a bit. Vegeta, Raditz, and Nappa want to see the fight happen. Gohan, Krillin, and Yamcha don't know if they want to interrupt or not. Piccolo chooses to ignore this situation altogether. Bulma definitely doesn't want to get in the way of this.

"Look I'll go easy kid. I'll just match whatever you can do. Now ready or not here I come." Ah Kum was just about to take a step until she felt a familiar energy land down. She immediately changes course and flies to that energy signature.

The mysterious man sighs in relief as everyone else wonders where Ah Kum was going. Tien and Chiaotzu have arrived back from King Kai hearing news of Frieza's arrival on earth. What greets them instead is Ah Kum as she lightly crashes into Tiean and Chiaotzu in a hug. They all crashed into the walls of the Lookout.

"Tien, Chiaotzu! I missed you guys so much!" Ah Kum shouts.

"Ah Kum? You're back. What about Frieza?" Tien questioned.

"Oh, Frieza?" Ah Kum took a step back and thought about how to answer. Then she waves her hand in an outward arch and says, "A mysterious super saiyan killed him."

"Okay enough with the jokes. What really happened?"

"But it's the truth. I was about to fight this mystery man until I felt you show up. I just had to surprise you." Ah Kum's face went a bit dark. "When I didn't sense you here I thought you and Chiaotzu died again." She then cheered up as she said, "I also noticed Goku also let some people die."

"I don't think you should be happy about that." Tien sighs. "Now that you're here King Kai has a couple of questions to ask you."

"King who?"

"He meant me." A voice telepathically spoke with Ah Kum and Tien. "I'm King Kai. You must be the Ah Kum everyone's been talking about."

"Telepathy. Cool trick. So what do I owe the pleasure of meeting such a godly being such as yourself?"

"You were the one who wished everyone back to life during the whole planet Namek destruction situation weren't you."

"Did I do that?" Ah Kum lightly knocks herself on the head. "Oops. I guess I just revived a bunch of people that, GOKU, let die." Ah Kum smiled to herself. "So what. Are you going to smite me?"

"No, I was just wondering how?"

Ah Kum smirks. "In my travels I went back to many planets that the saiyans had conquered. And I was met with so much hostility just because I was a saiyan. I mean come on, we're basically an extinct race why do they still hate us so much. I met a certain someone who was friends with a Namekian. It's safe to say I beat him up and learned about another set of dragon balls and used it to check on the situation with Goku and the rest was history."

"So that's how you've gotten so strong. You've made a wish to make yourself strong enough to protect your friends."

"Now hold on just a minute. I made no such wish. The only two I made was learning what was happening with Goku and bringing the people back to life. The power I have is gained through my own efforts. I won't let a god tell me anything else. You don't know how much I had to hold myself back from blowing up a planet or two."

Before King Kai could question her anymore they sense Goku arrive back on earth. Ah Kum then uses her own magic to cut the telekinetic link King Kai had with her. "Hey Tien, let's go say hi to Goku."

"Umm, Ah Kum… King Kai is asking how you did that."

"Did what?"

"I can answer that." Kami said as he's been listening in on the conversation for a while now. "You can use a bit of magic now can't you Ah Kum."

"Magic? You mean this?" Ah Kum telepathically said to Kami.

"Yes that. Who taught you how to use magic?" Kami said out loud.

"I'm self taught." Ah Kum continues to speak telepathically.

"Magic is not something you can just teach yourself."

"Don't even say it. I can tell that you are also going to assume I used the dragon balls to make me be able to use magic. Seriously, that is the only thing that lets people do anything nowadays." She then scratched her head and then spoke out loud, "I learned it from the Namekian after threatening to kill his friend! There, are you happy?"

"I see. That would explain some things."

"Alright enough with the questioning let's get going. I want to test just how strong Goku has gotten." Ah Kum flies just outside The Lookout. "Are you coming? Tien, Chiaotzu?"

"I still pray till this day she doesn't become an enemy." Kami said as he entered deeper into The Lookout. "There is still much unrest in her mind."

"I'll make sure that day never comes." Tien flies toward Ah Kum. Chiaotzu quickly follows after.

By the time Ah Kum, Tien, and Chiaotzu got to Goku the mysterious man had already left. Then Goku tells about the time traveling mysterious man and the upcoming fight with the androids. Bulma wants to end the threat before it happens but the fighters disagree with her. Ah Kum was just in disbelief at how they would have lost even after Goku died of a heart attack. She is just so confused that she wants to prove the time traveler wrong. And the first step was to fight Goku.

Everyone watches as Ah Kum throws the first punch. Goku catches it and throws his own punch. Ah Kum meets the punch with a punch of her own. She then spin kicks Goku pushing him back.

Goku then realizes something. "Ah Kum. You've lost your tail!"

"Oh! So someone finally noticed!" Ah Kum said, annoyed that Goku was the first to notice. For some reason Tien and Chiaotzu felt a chill down their spine. "I thought it would be a nice change of pace. Every other saiyan lost their tail already."

"We both know that isn't true. Kami even asked for it to be removed and you refused. You even threatened to kill him if you found out he removed it when you weren't aware."

"A small price to pay to clean up your mess."

"So you're the one who made the wish." Goku goes super saiyan and gets ready to fight at full power. "I guess I should thank you by going all out."

Ah Kum responded the same. Her energy matched Goku's even in super saiyan. "I wouldn't have it any other way. Before we start I also have a question. When did you learn to turn your hair blond?"

"I learned it in outer space."

Ah Kum laughs and the real battle starts. Ah Kum is slowly building damage onto Goku, landing more hits than Goku. However every hit Goku lands on Ah Kum does greater damage. It was now a battle of if Ah Kum could deal enough damage to Goku before Goku lands enough hits on Ah Kum.

Vegeta, annoyed at how strong these two had gotten, left midway through the fight to go train. Nappa followed him closely behind after watching for a moment longer. Raditz is surprised that Ah Kum is keeping up with Goku even though he was in the super saiyan form. Gohan was in awe of the two. Piccolo does want to focus on training for the android but decided to watch the fight. Tien, Chiaotzu, Krillin, Yamcha, and Bulma just watch as this is almost a daily occurrence in their lives now.

The battle outcome comes with Goku landing the final hit knocking Ah Kum to the ground. Ah Kum, accepting her defeat, lays on her back and stares at the sky. "It's not fair you know." Ah Kum said she's slowly starting to accept the fact that everyone here might have died in the future.

"What's not fair?" Goku asked, squatting by Ah Kum. He turned off his super saiyan form.

"When you die everyone else follows shortly after. But when I die no one else does. It's not fair." Ah Kum continues to stare at the clear sky.

"I don't want anyone to die after I die. But maybe we can change that future with you."

"What do you mean by that?" Ah Kum sits up dusting herself off.

"The time traveler said he didn't know who you were and that you weren't in the future." Goku stands up and looks at the sky. "Maybe this time you will be the one to save the day."

"Maybe I died in space in his timeline." Ah Kum laughs. She gets up rubbing her aching muscles. "You've proven yourself stronger than me three times now Goku. But there won't be a fourth. Three years from now, if you die from a virus, you won't have to worry about anything. Because I will take care of everyone even after you're gone."

"Our enemies will never win if we just work together. Or at least that's what Kami and King Kai said." Goku laughs. "But that's just not how we do things."

After Goku had said that the rest of the Z fighters came over to see if they were alright. Ah Kum made Tien carry her away to get a senzu bean and Goku flew back with Gohan to see Chi Chi. Piccolo flew away to go train. Krillin and Yamcha go to Master Roshi to train. Raditz follows Tien and Chiaotzu so that he could ask how Ah Kum got so strong. Bulma goes back to Capsule Corp.

After Ah Kum recovers she tells Raditz how she got so strong. There was no special training or method. She held back so much energy that whenever she exploded with energy her power level would spike and she would work towards that new power level. Raditz is confused on how that would even work correctly as training.

"It's not. It's called power leveling. No power creep. Wait, I remember power levels are BS." Ah Kum said, laying down on the floor of Korin's Tower. "Let's just say I cheated to get this power. And before you say it I did NOT use any wish to get this strong."

"But that doesn't answer my question." Raditz said in response. "Even though Kakarot was a super saiyan you were able to keep up. You would have won if you were just a little bit stronger." Raditz then suddenly realizes something. "You're going to get stronger than him aren't you."

"That's the plan." Ah Kum gets up stretching her arms. "So. How is it? Life on Earth. Are you enjoying it?"

"A bit too peaceful for my liking. I'm more used to random genocide." Raditz laughed. "Joking of course. I love it here. I don't have to listen to anyone. I get stronger just by training. What's not to love?"

"Oh, just the fact that we can't really break everything we want without our brother telling us no." Ah Kum looks over to Tien off in the distance meditating.

"Right. Well then I'm off to go train. These androids sound dangerous. We might even need two super saiyans." Raditz flies away.

"Super saiyan. Huh. Now that is something. Maybe I should aim for that next time."

"We don't need you to get any stronger than you are now." Tien says flying over to Ah Kum. "Although it wouldn't hurt if you became a super saiyan."

After that moment we skip three years to when the android are said to arrive. Two androids that will appear on May 12th at 10AM, nine miles off of south city. But before that time it was relatively peaceful.

Ah Kum has gotten stronger than Goku but Goku has also gotten stronger than Ah Kum. The two's powers only increased the more times they fought to test their strength. Bulma now has Vegeta's child; they named him Trunks. Napa, being the great uncle that he is, is taking care of the baby along with Bulma while Vegeta goes off into space to train. Gohan and Piccolo do their training almost entirely on their own since Goku would be training with Raditz to keep up with Ah Kum's constant growth. Krillin and Yamcha doing their best. Raditz is on the verge of breaking into super saiyan but needed an extra push that he just didn't have yet.

The time was now as explosions can be heard nine miles off South City. Yamcha was again the unlucky fighter to encounter the androids first. A hand stabbed through his chest by Dr. Gero before everyone else arrives. Yamcha of course was saved with a senzu bean while Goku and Ah Kum took the two androids to a different location uninhabited by living beings. Deciding who would fight who and who first with a game of Paper Rock Scissors, Goku was fighting Android 19. Ah Kum stared down at Dr. Gero

Dr. Gero offered Ah Kum to just watch the fight instead of fighting him after Goku turned into a super saiyan. Ah Kum thought about it for a moment and then noticed Goku starting to have a difficult time after the fighting had just started. Ah Kum, distracted for just a moment, was grabbed by Dr. Gero on her nape. Immediately half of her energy had been absorbed.

Ah Kum spin kicks Dr. Gero manages to kick him off of herself then goes to help out Goku who was now being beaten to a pulp. Ah Kum lunges in with a punch to Android 19's face but the android didn't even budge.

"I've won. With half your energy stolen you can no longer compete with android 19!" Dr. Gero laughs at his success. "This contingency plan had only worked because both of you both were here. Although this Super Saiyan form was surprising. It seems Ah Kum can't access it."

"Die!" Ah Kum's ki signature spiked. A sinister aura leaked out of herself for that moment. A powerful and uncontrollable power. But Ah Kum snaps back to the present as it drains all of her energy to just hold the sinister energy back.

Ah Kum's fist pierced through Android 19's head. Just to be safe she rips its head off and blows up the rest of its body with a ki blast.

"I thought you were taking medicine to prevent this from happening." Ah Kum looks down at the heavy breathing Goku. She herself is starting to feel the fatigue of having half her ki stolen from her.

"It couldn't have come at a worse time." Goku tries to laugh but instead starts coughing. "Sorry. Can I leave things to you and Raditz."

The rest of the Z fighters gathered around Goku. Seeing that the heart virus had begun to show its symptoms. Not even a senzu bean would be able to aid Goku.

Ah Kum and Piccolo hadn't completely lost focus on Dr. Gero as they see that he was making his escape. Piccolo about to give chase until he realized that a familiar ki signature was heading towards them in the same direction Dr. Gero was trying to escape.

This ki signature was Vegeta as he flies in with a kick onto Dr. Gero's head in his base form.

"So this is the android who killed us in the future!" Vegeta scoffs. "It's just an old man with one foot already in the grave!"

"Ah, Prince Vegeta. I'm sorry, I was just making my way out." Dr. Gero tries again to escape.

Vegeta powers up and appears in front of Gero. "Where might you be going, I wonder?"

Not wanting to fight everyone all at once Dr. Gero shouts, "14, 15!"

A tall gray skinned man with a shoulder guard flies in punching Vegeta away. Another android, short and purple skinned with a large green hat, flies to defend Dr. Gero.

"What's this? More android? That brat said there'd only be two." Vegeta scoffed. "No matter. I'll take them down all the same." Vegeta punches android 14 knocking it down to the ground. He then fires a volley of ki blasts attacks.

During this Raditz confronts android 15. Dr. Gero makes his escape and the remaining Z fighters chase after. Yamcha takes Goku to his home to recover.

Vegeta began to lose ground but with his transformation to a super saiyan it turned his tide of battle. Raditz on the other hand was still struggling with android 14. He still couldn't access the form just yet. After Vegeta destroys android 14 he laughs at how Raditz is still struggling to deal with android 15. He doesn't help Raditz and chooses to go look for Dr. Gero himself.

Raditz with all his might tries to fight back but is quickly losing the battle. But before Android 14 could deal the finishing blow the mystery time traveler shows up cutting Android 14 in half. (I'm going to call him Trunks for the sake of not having to type mystery time traveler so many times until the Z fighter realizes that his name is Trunks.)

"What's going on here? Where's everyone else?" Trunks asked, helping Raditz to his feet.

"There are more androids than you said there were." Raditz spoke. He was thankful for the help but more annoyed that he needed help to begin with.

"More androids. What do you mean?"

"Four androids total from what I saw. There might be more." Raditz managed to speak out, his injuries starting to catch up to him.

"No that can't be. There are only supposed to be two!" Trunks is in disbelief. "Did me being here change history? This isn't good. Where is everyone else?"

"They flew off, chasing Dr. Gero. You can sense them can't you?" Raditz says, sensing Vegeta's ki signature.

Trunks starts sensing ki signatures in the direction of the rest of the Z-fighters. "This isn't good! Piccolo's Ki signature is weakening!" Trunks says as they then both fly straight to Piccolo's depleting energy.

When they got there Dr. Gero notices them and quickly throws Piccolo away and shoots a ki blast in their direction, escaping. Raditz and Trunks both blocked the attack coming out unscathed. Piccolo fell to the ground nearly depleted of his energy.

Everyone then reconvened on where they sensed Raditz and Trunks energy level powered up when blocking the attack. Vegeta is the first to arrive mocking Raditz since he couldn't turn into a super saiyan and for needing help to finish off the android. Then he turns to berate Trunks for not telling them there were more androids.

Trunks tries to explain but Vegeta doesn't listen as he leaves again to go look for Dr. Gero. Everyone else soon arrives and Krillin hands a senzu bean to Piccolo, restoring all of his energy. Trunks explains how there are more androids in this timeline probably because of himself, Ah Kum, and the fact that Raditz and Nappa were still alive in this timeline. He warns that the androids he's talking about could still be out there.

"You say that Raditz and Nappa are dead in your timeline. But where am I?" Ah Kum spoke.

"I'm not sure. No one even mentions you. Not a single person I know in my timeline has ever mentioned who you are." Trunks answers sincerely.

"Not even Tien." Ah Kum felt blue. Although that isn't her Tien hearing that a version of him didn't even know who she was hurt.

"I don't know. He was killed before I got to know most of you here." Trunks looks at the Z-Fighters. "But this isn't the time, where's Goku?"

Krillin goes on to explain the situation to Trunks. And so in their panic and rush, Bulma arrives carrying baby trunks. She then goes on to tell them where Dr. Gero's lab is. Taking this information the Z-Fighters fly off to Dr. Gero's lab. Dr. Gero on the other hand had already arrived at his lab contemplating on whether or not he should activate Android 17 and 18. Although he doesn't have much time left as the Z-Fighters are now at his door, trying to break it down with force.

Having no other choice he activates the two androids and is swiftly killed soon after by Android 17 due to 17's insubordination.

Vegeta arrives with the rest of the Z-Fighters after sensing them all moving together in the same direction. He easily blasts the door open. There they see a decapitated Dr. Gero and the two more androids. Two of which Trunks recognizes. Android 18 sees that there are two more androids unactivated and plans to activate them.

Trunks in an instinctive manner fires a large ki blast at the two inactive androids. This blows up the entire top half of the mountain that Dr. Gero's lab was in, the lab included. Then after the dust settles they each see the two android each holding on to the unactivated android pods. Trunks wants to stop them but was too late as Android 17 and 18 activates Android 13 and 16.

The two androids got out of their pods as the rest of the Z-Fighters watched. Vegeta smirks as he doesn't see any of them as a threat. Trunks is scared out of his mind. Ah Kum focused on the task at hand. Piccolo waits to see where this is going. Krillin and Gohan are nervous. Tien seems confident, but worries about the safety of everyone else. Raditz has just eaten a senzu bean and is dying to prove Vegeta wrong. Nappa is still with Bulma and baby Trunks.

A fight soon broke out as Vegeta was the first to throw a punch in super saiyan. Android 18 goes to block it. Trunks tries telling Vegeta to stop but Vegeta doesn't listen and so he joins in the fight.

Ah Kum takes this moment to attack Android 17 but was intercepted by Android 13. Android 13 takes this moment to engage in a fight with Ah Kum. Android 17 laughs at Ah Kum. Tien decided to go help Ah Kum.

Everyone else stayed where they were at and watched as the fight began. Vegeta and Trunks were starting to get in each other's way. Android 18 takes advantage of this and uses their own attack to hit each other. Vegeta was the main problem here as they would have done much better against 18 if he had worked with Trunks.

Ah Kum and Tien on the other hand were having a much easier time with Android 13. They work together almost in unison. Although Tien was much weaker than Ah Kum and Android 13 he was just strong enough to cause a mild inconvenience to 13 to turn the tide of battle.

18 quickly defeats both Trunks and Vegeta then goes over to help 13. Raditz wanted to jump in but was stopped by 17 as he says, "If you want to fight then fight me."

"Fine by me!" Raditz shouts as he goes to land a punch.

17 dodges the punch easily and counters with his own punch, nearly knocking Raditz out cold.

Ah Kum and Tien were about to finish off 13 until Tien was caught off guard by 18 and was knocked out of the fight. Ah Kum, enraged, emitted a green aura for a moment and punches 18. Before 18 could go flying off into the distance 16 catches her.

Trunks, who was barely conscious, is surprised by how easily Ah Kum dealt with 18. Vegeta is unconscious. 17 teases 18 for being caught off guard. Raditz is recovering from 17's punch. Piccolo chuckles to himself thinking the android may have been a problem for Goku but not Ah Kum. Krillin and Gohan stayed on standby.

"The one known as Ah Kum has been detected. Course of action. Kill Ah Kum. Plan, I recommend you do not hurt any of her friends until she is dealt with. It risks her getting a power up strong enough to destroy us." 16 suggested.

"Would have been useful to know before I booted three eyes." 18 got back on her feet flying down to the ground. "Alright, she needs to go down first."

"Affirmative." 16 replied.

13 then catches Ah Kum off guard as he puts her in a full nelson. 16 and 18 uses this moment to attack Ah Kum. Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan then all jumped in to help Ah Kum. Raditz was preoccupying 17.

Before they all could clash 16 stops 18 bringing the fighting to a standstill and said, "The odds are not in our favor. If we defeat all her friends now she will no doubt gain a tremendous boost in power. Without the doctor we can not be repaired if we are damaged. Therefore even if we kill Ah Kum now we will be too damaged to kill Son Goku."

"Who cares if she gets a power up if we kill her friends. If they get in our way then we just need to get rid of them." 18 retorted.

Ah Kum hearing all of this shouts, "Hey! If you want to kill me and Goku so badly then you should be ready to die yourself!" She then slowly overpowers 13.

"If we don't act now she'll be free," 18 says.

"Affirmative. Action retracted. New plan calculated. We must kill her now." 16 detaches both of his hands and charges a cannon ki blast.

Ah Kum couldn't sense how strong this attack was but felt the danger and shouts for everyone to get out of the way. But before anyone could react 16 had fired his signature Hell's Flash attack on Piccolo, Krillin, Gohan, and Tien who were on the path towards Ah Kum. Ah Kum manages to break out of the nelson and put herself in front of the blast using her body as a shield.

After the explosion Ah Kum was barely conscious. Bleeding from her arms and head. Her clothes burnt to pieces. Fallen over to the ground Krillin goes over to hand a senzu bean to her. Before that could happen Android 18 stops him. 16 also heads over to Ah Kum to finish the job. Piccolo went to stop 16 but was caught by 13. Gohan froze. Raditz was delt with by 17.

Ah Kum looks 16 in the eyes as 16 charges up another Hell's Flash. "Any last words?"

Ah Kum laughs through the pain. "I didn't want to use this power but damn it all." A black and red evil aura emits from Ah Kum. Her power level is skyrocketing. But everyone who was there noticed something was happening to Ah Kum.

16 unleashed his Hell's Flash before Ah Kum could finish whatever she was doing. After the smoke cleared Ah Kum was seemingly disintegrated. Horror on most of the Z-Fighters faces as they believe Ah Kum has been killed.

"Good job 16 she wasn't so tough now was she." 18 says.

"Negative. Ah Kum is still alive." 16 takes a scan of the area. Then after a moment every senses a sinister aura. 16 lock eyes with Ah Kum who was now floating several feet above everyone. "She has obtained an unknown power. The outcome of this battle has now turned for the worse. I suggest a strategic retreat."

"Come now 16. How strong can she be?" Before 18 could approach Ah Kum, 16 again stops her.

"This time it is unclear how strong she is. It would be unwise to face her as she is now."

"It can't be that bad 16. Let her fight, she wouldn't have gotten that strong. After all, all her friends are still alive and kicking." 17 spoke.

"I don't need permission from anyone for your information, thank you," 18 shouts. She then goes against the wishes of 16 and flies up to Ah Kum who is now basking in the light of the sun. After reaching Ah Kum's level she tries to provoke Ah Kum.

Ah Kum takes another moment to look at the sky then back at 18. With a calm demeanor she speaks, "My mind has never been so clear. It's like all the dark clouds have vanished. And all that is left is the clear sky."

"Did you lose your mind after almost dying?" 18 laughs. "You're talking nonsense."

"I'd like to thank you… By breaking your neck."

"18!" 17 shouts as Ah Kum was inches away from grabbing hold of 18's neck.

16 however reacted in time to save 18, punching Ah Kim's hand away. "It is dangerous for you to be here, 18. From my data she should be in a berserk state but seeing as she is now this must be another form Dr. Gero does not have data on."

"They called you 16, correct?" Ah Kum got in a neutral stance.

"I am android designated number 16." 16 replied.

"16. I have only two words for you. You're Dead."

16 takes off one hand and charges a Hell's Beam. "I refuse."

Ah Kum smiled as the beam was unleashed onto her. She casually flies into the beam and through the beam to 16. 16 manages to intercept, stopping his attack and grabbing hold of Ah Kum's hand.

Ah Kum with her other hand throws a punch landing on 16's face. 16 is sent back a bit away before recovering. "What sort of power is this? It seems evil in nature."

"Evil? No, that's just what you do-gooders would call this. You're not a do-gooder are you? Heh, you aren't a do-gooder are you?."

"16 I don't know what's going on but I don't get a good feeling from her. I can't sense ki energy or whatever they call it but that energy. It's very noticeable," 18 said, flying next to 16. Everyone was now solely focused on Ah Kum's sinister ki signature.

"Enough talk!" Ah Kum flies in kicking 16 away. Shifting her focus back to 18 she throws a punch to which 18 blocks.

17 flies in punching Ah Kum off of 18. 18 hits Ah Kum with a ki blast. 16 recovers and follows with a blast of his own on Ah Kum. After the volly of ki blast stops 13 jumps in performing a lariat on Ah Kum.

The remaining Z-Fighters besides Trunks couldn't even react to what was happening. Krillin takes this moment of opportunity to give everyone each their last senzu bean. Although Gohan and Krillin haven't eaten theirs yet since they weren't injured.

Trunks even more surprised that Ah Kum who wasn't in his timeline could be strong enough to get the attention of all four remaining androids. Vegeta wanted to jump in but, with his pride a bit shattered into pieces, he chose instead to focus on how Ah Kum was doing better than him against four androids. Vegeta blames his loss on Trunks. Piccolo knows he's outmatched as he is now. Krillin and Gohan are cheering for Ah Kum's victory.

Tien, on the other hand, was worried about Ah Kum's mental state. He also can sense that the ki signature was evil in nature. And by how calm Ah Kum is acting towards all those attacks landing on her, it was not normal.

After taking a few more hits Ah Kum had enough. First thing she did next was punching straight through 13's abdomen. Following the chain of power she knew 16 was the second strongest of the androids. And so she fired a ki blast at 16. 16 barely manages to dodge out of the way.

17 and 18 both simultaneously attacked Ah Kum in unison. Ah Kum blocked and dogged every kick and punch thrown at her. When she sees an opening she kicks 18 away going for the next strongest 17. But before she could grab hold of 17, 17 made a barrier and 16 flies from below uppercutting Ah Kum's chin.

Ah Kum reels back a distance before continuing her assault. 18 also flew back in to assist 16 and 17.

"Damn, she's more persistent than I thought." 17 says.

"This is a battle of attrition. I don't believe she can go on much longer." 16 says.

"That's perfect. With infinite energy cores we should win this no problem." 18 says.

"Negative. We must stay on guard. Until we confirm her death, Ah Kum is still a threat." Replied 16.

"Agreed, just look what happened to 13 down there." 17 said as he noticed 13's body was missing.

The fighting continues and the Z-Fighters continue to watch. Vegeta losing his patience eventually joins in turning this somewhat equal fight to a stomp on the Z-Fighters. Especially so after Trunks also joins in making this a three on three battle. Vegeta gets a rematch with 18. Trunks fights 17. Ah Kum beats down 16.

As Ah Kum was about to finish off 16, Super Android 13 came barreling into Ah Kum, nearly catching her off guard. 13 had sneaked off to absorb Android 14 and 15 when everyone was so focused on Ah Kum's fight. Now that he was Super 13 Ah Kum and 13 was evenly matched.

17 wins his bout with Trunks fairly easily and 18 is now having a bit of a struggle with Vegeta. Piccolo and Tien know that if 17 or 16 goes to help 18 Vegeta would lose and they'd be back at square one so they flew in to intercept. 16 wasn't too badly damaged so he flew in to intercept the interception.

Krillin and Gohan hold the last two senzu and so Krillin instructs Gohan to give it to Trunks so that he can get back into the fight. Krillin tasked himself to give the last senzu to Ah Kum. He knows she is quickly running out of energy.

Ah Kum was slowly losing steam. The evil ki was fading in and out. Krillin then sees an opportunity and passes on the senzu bean to Ah Kum just as 16, 17, and 18 defeats everyone else including Gohan. They're not dead, only unconscious. Now only Krillin and Ah Kum were able to fight. Ah Kum eats the senzu and her power level skyrockets even higher. So high in fact that she starts to lose control.

The evil ki turned into uncontrollable energy. Her hair took on a green glow. Her muscles bulked up, growing to similar size as Super Android 13. This ki signature was pure and raw energy. It cracks the ground below and electricity sparks off her body.

Ah Kum starts screaming in a mixture of pain and anger. It was all directed towards Super Android 13. Before 13 could do anything Ah Kum palmed his face and slammed him through several mountains.

"This is within calculation." 16 says. "She has now lost all sense of self and her energy level has skyrocketed. It is only a matter of time before she tires herself out."

"So are you saying we sacrifice 13?" 17 says.

"That's not too bad. He's fully android anyway." 18 comments.

"Affirmative. Or more precisely Super Android 13 is the only one here right now capable of holding off an enraged Ah Kum. If we step in now we will likely be destroyed in one blast by Ah Kum."

Krillin hopes that they don't notice him but 18 does. But nothing happens. Krillin then goes on to bravely ask why they are still trying to kill Ah Kum and Goku even after Dr. Gero's death.

16 goes on to explain that it was programmed into them and that they can not just simply choose not to kill them even if Dr. Gero is dead. 17 and 18 agree with him adding that it was a game for them. The conversation gets interrupted as Ah Kum destroys 13 with an unrefined unnamed enormous ki blast. Ah Kum is still going berserk. The attack drained half of her energy but her energy was slowly climbing back up.

The Androids take this opportunity to hide until the power up disappears. Krillin is left alone and this turns out to be the worst case scenario for him as Ah Kum senses his energy. She goes to attack Krillin.

Krillin closes his eyes and braces himself for a punch that very well might kill him that never came. Slowly looking he noticed Ah Kum's fist inches away from his face.

"Tien?" Ah Kum questioned.

"Tien?" Krillin repeats back. Quickly thinking, his bald head must have reminded her of Tien. "That's right Tien! He's there." Krillin leads her eyes towards an unconscious Tien.

Ah Kum then flies towards Tien. Placing an ear over his chest she hears a heartbeat. She calms down and her energy is starting to return to a normal state. Although on the inside she is still angry at herself as she suppresses her destructive emotions.

Nappa finally arrives on the scene and notices the condition of everyone. Luckily for them he stopped by Korin's Tower to get the magic senzu bean when King Kai told him to get it after seeing how the battle was heading for the worst. He then passes a senzu to everyone except for Ah Kum since she refused to eat one.

Krillin catches everyone up to speed since Ah Kum is now refusing to speak. Vegeta was the first to ask what power she was using. Trunks is even more confused on how such a strong fighter like Ah Kum in his timeline could have died. Tien tries to console her. Gohan apologizes for not being able to give Trunks the senzu bean in time. Piccolo flies off to Kami's Lookout.

Ah Kum was disappointed in herself having to rely on that evil power. Disappointed in losing herself to rage once again. Disappointed that she was still so weak.

Vegeta demands for answers while Trunks and Raditz hold him off from getting into a one sided fight with Ah Kum. Ah Kum was not in the mood to fight or even defend herself. Tien asks her how she got that power.

"It was when I chose to remove my tail to wish all those who died on planet Namek back to life." Ah Kum said. Everyone then focused on what Ah Kum was going to say next. "The dragon warned me that it takes a little something else too, to be able to resurrect everyone. That being my control of ki. Up to a certain point of ki I just won't be able to control myself or even that evil ki. That's why I learned magic so that I could still fight even if I can't use ki."

"So you're saying you are just naturally stronger than me. The Prince of all Saiyans. I don't believe it. If you were so strong to begin with then there was no way you would have been a low class saiyan warrior."

"Now's not the time. Goku is still in danger. Since we can't sense the Androids, who knows when they will strike again." Tien states.

"Forget it. I'll get stronger my own way. Just like how I obtained the super saiyan form, I'll just unlock a new better form of whatever you can do!" Vegeta flies away.

Trunks wants to follow but decides it's best not to get in his father's way right now. For the most part he knows that Ah Kum can at least face off against all three androids evenly.

And so the remaining Z-Fighters made their way to Goku. When they arrived their plan was to move him to where Kame House was currently located due to the androids possibly knowing where Goku's home is. They tell Yamcha and ChiChi about the current situation.

Ah Kum however chose to break off from the group. She didn't want to see Goku in a weakened state nor did she want Goku to see her in her lower state of mind. Tien also breaks off from the group to inform Chiaotzu about the situation with Ah Kum.

Everything then continues similar to how it went in the original. Piccolo convinces Kami to fuse with him. Krillin's group takes Goku to Kame House. Vegeta gets angry. Bulma tells Trunks of a second time machine. The androids steal a van looking for Goku. And Cell has started to absorb people for power.

Everyone eventually becomes aware of Cell and the threat he poses. Piccolo being the first to discover him. Trunks and Krillin finding the basement of Dr. Gero's lab and discovering the blueprints of the shut off button for the androids and a still developing embryo of Cell. They destroy everything in the lab, the lab included, after taking what they needed.

Bulma starts developing the shutdown button and soon the Piccolo vs 17 fight begins. Since it was just Piccolo the androids didn't take the fights too seriously. Not until Piccolo started to be an even match against 17. Before 16 and 18 could jump in and help Cell arrive, putting a halt to the battle.

Neither the Androids nor Piccolo knew what Cell was doing there but eventually it was clear as Cell took a moment of opportunity to absorb 17 becoming semi-perfect Cell. It was much easier this time too due to 16 being damaged by Ah Kum in their earlier fight. Now being too strong for any of them to handle.

Ah Kum sensing a mixture of ki signatures of everyone coming from Cell arrives at the location a bit too late to help Piccolo as he was defeated. Tien arrives a few moments after. Sensing the dire situation Ah Kum quickly powers up. Landing a punch to Cell's face and it does nothing.

Cell looks confused at who this woman was. "Hmmm? And who are you?"

"I could be asking you the same." Ah Kum quickly picks up Piccolo's body and backs away.

"You are definitely strong but how come I don't know who you are? Whatever, you aren't nearly strong enough to cause any harm to me now."

"Right." Tien then flies next to Ah Kum. "I'll take Piccolo. You worry about him."

"But what about the androids?" Ah Kum looks over at Android 16 and 18.

"Oh don't worry about them. I'll absorb them in no time." Cell says, licking his lips.

"Absorb?" Ah Kum thinks back on how Android 13 turned blue. It was probably because he absorbed the two defeated Androids from before. "Not happening. Not if I have anything to say about it."

"I'd like to see you try." Cell then speeds off to 18's location. 16 stepped in between the two of them and got hit with a tackle, sending him crashing into the side of a mountain. Ah Kum quickly fires a ki blast at Cell and charges in herself. 18 was stun locked. As Cell's tail was opening up to absorb 18, Ah Kum pushed 18 out of the way.

"You may not be 18. But you'll make a great addition to my power!" Cell gloated. His tail quickly overpowering and absorbing Ah Kum into it.

As Ah Kum was about to unleash the evil aura to get out they both hear Tien shout. "Shin Kikoho!"

Only Cell was blasted away by the attack launched by Tien. Ah Kum, now free, notices that Tien was using his life force to boost the attack power. "Tien, stop, you're going to die if you use that too many times!"

"Better this than losing you to that evil power!" Tien shouts again, "Shin Kikoho!" The blast hits Cell once again.

Ah Kum then flies up to Tien to stop him from using the attack a third time. "Tien!" Ah Kum grabs hold of Tien's hand before he could launch another blast. "You'll only waste your life. Your attack is only stalling him!"

"I know!" Tien shouts back.

"Then why!"

"Because I don't want to lose you again!"

"Well, I don't either!"

"Well how nice. In this timeline Tien found a girlfriend." Cell says, flying out of the giant square shaped hole in the ground. As Ah Kum stated Cell wasn't even hurt by the attack. "You should listen to her Tien. You might live a little longer if you did."

"If we're going to die then let's at least die together." Ah Kum forms a triangle with her hand in front of her with Cell at the center of it. "With one attack."

"Stop talking nonsense! If you die here then there's no way I can ever forgive myself."

"Shut up and prepare for the attack he's coming!" Ah Kum says as Cell is quickly approaching.

Then without a second of hesitation both Ah Kum and Tien shout, "Shin Kikoho!" Ah Kum put everything she had into this final attack and so did Tien.

Cell was nearly wiped off the face of the earth. His core barely survived as it began to regenerate his full body. Ah Kum wasted all of her energy while Tien made sure to save enough to have some left for himself and to give to Ah Kum. Unaware of the threat, Tien flys Ah Kum down next to the unconscious Piccolo.

Now with their guard lowered, Cell lowers his energy so that he is undetectable. He slowly makes his way over to Tien and Ah Kum as they're wondering where the androids are. And just as Piccolo regained consciousness Cell strikes Tien with his tail. Ah Kum's energy then spikes for just a moment before she realizes Goku had redirected the strike.

All fighting stopped as Goku appeared suddenly in front of Cell. "You must be Cell. Is that right?" Goku then pushes him away to create some distance between them. "The way I am now in my present state there ain't a chance in the world I can beat you. I also can't in good conscience let Ah Kum use that evil ki or go berserk to defeat you." Raising his voice and intensifying his tone he proclaims, "But wait just a single day. And I swear I'll mop the floor with you!"

Cell laughs. "Of all the things you could've said. Too weak to fight but in just one day you'll take me down? What hope do you think can come in one day?"

"Goku." Ah Kum said in relief.

"I'm okay now. But first let's get out of here." Goku quickly links Piccolo, Tien, and Ah Kum together.

"I won't allow that!" Cell charges in but Goku instant transmission away. "He's gone!?"

Goku had moved them to the Lookout. There, Gohan and Mr. Popo was waiting for their return. There they get all their information in order. Piccolo fused with Kami therefore the dragon balls no longer work. Goku has recovered from his heart virus. Ah Kum can no longer grow any stronger with ki without either going berserk or losing out to that evil ki. And the hyperbolic time chamber is now known to all of the Z-Fighters.

"So… Can you control this evil energy?" Goku asks.

"Just a little before I want to fight anyone and anything." Ah Kum sighs as she falls to the ground exhausted. "I don't like using that power. It takes away my hesitance to kill things. I may still be able to think clearly and know friend from foe but I don't know when my thoughts change to killing you guys." Ah Kum looks at Goku with sincerity and vulnerability, "I sometimes think about killing you too."

Tien pats Ah Kum on the head. "It's okay to have thoughts like that. But don't actually carry them out okay. I used to have thoughts like that too. We'll get over this together."

"So. How much energy can you control before going berserk?" Goku asks.

"A lot. Like probably double your super saiyan form." Ah Kum quickly wiped her face as she felt some tears coming. "I held back against you because I didn't want to accidentally use that evil ki or go berserk." This was a blatant lie but she wasn't going to admit the fact that she was weaker than Goku in terms of strength.

Vegeta and Trunks then exit from the Time chamber. Immediately Vegeta locks his sight at Ah Kum. Without missing a beat he goes on to state how much stronger he is now compared to Ah Kum. Usually Ah Kum would send a quip back but this time she just wishes the prince good luck. This annoyed Vegeta very much.

Bulma then arrives giving everyone some saiyan style armor. Tien and Piccolo chose not to wear them. Ah Kum however felt a sense of familiarity wearing the armor. Vegeta and Trunks put on the armor and headed out to face Cell and the Androids. Goku offered Ah Kum to head in the time chamber first but she refused and so Goku and Gohan put on the armor and heads inside the hyperbolic time chamber.

"So what's gotten you upset today?" Tien asked Ah Kum who was still sitting on the ground but now near the edge of The Lookout.

"Upset. I'm not upset. What could be making you think that?"

"I've been around you long enough to know when something is bothering you." Tien sits next to Ah Kum. "Do you want to talk about it?"

"Everyone is going to get stronger…" Ah Kum stated. "Stronger and stronger while I can't because of some stupid wish I made."

"It wasn't stupid." Tien refuted. "If you hadn't made that wish many more people would have died. And all those who already died would have stayed dead."

"I want my tail back." Ah Kum began to sulk. "Maybe it was an impulse to trade my tail and control for momentary joy, but I'm starting to regret it."

"You regret saving lives?"

"No! Of course not!" Ah Kum shouts. "Maybe there could have been another deal I could have made. Maybe instead I could have wished for something else. Something better for everyone! Now I'm just a liability." Ah Kum was feeling much more useless than she's ever felt before.

"There was no time. You couldn't have thought of anything better. You are you after all. Impulsive and quick to anger. No matter how much you educate yourself in magic or general knowledge you will still be the same person on the inside." Tien looks over the clouds and sky. "Don't you think you're trying a little too hard to be something else for someone else?"

"I thought I found who I wanted to be. But after remembering my saiyan origin it's just been so complicated." Ah Kum curled up into a ball closing herself off.

"You're a saiyan raised on Earth. Simple as that. You don't need to be anything more."

"That's a Goku answer. I don't want to have the same answer as Goku."

"You're right, it does sound like something Goku would say. Well then how about, you're an earthling born saiyan."

Ah Kum laughs and lifts her head up a bit. "That's Goku's kid."

Tien chuckles. "Right. Forgot about that." Taking a moment to think, he says, "How about a saiyan turned earthling."

"That doesn't work. I'm a pure saiyan. No earthing genetics in me at all. Besides, with my memories back I can't say I'm an earthling without denying myself of my saiyan heritage."

"Then what about just being you? Forget the saiyans, forget earthlings. Forget about everything you thought you knew and know now and start fresh. Form a new state of mind. Like when we chose to break free from Master Shen."

"I don't know if I want to?" Ah Kum gets up. "I can't simply run away from this problem like before. And I'm not strong enough to deal with it by myself anymore. I'm jealous of Vegeta. He understands where his place is. I envy Goku. He knows who he is. Raditz changed for the better. And Nappa is still the caretaker of the next line of royalty." Ah Kum balls her hands into a fist and grips tightly. "Only I am having this issue! Why? Just what or who am I? I don't even exist in the other timeline or maybe I died early."

"Hey calm down. I'm sure we can get over this just like before." Tien tries to reassure her.

"This isn't like before!" Ah Kum cries. "Back then I had confidence. I knew that if I just kept training everything would be alright. But now! Now, if I train I would only be putting everyone at risk!"

"There must be a way for you to control that energy. All that extra energy. Even that ominous ki. You can't just give up now!" Tien argues. "Well go together in the time chamber. We'll find a way around this. No matter how long it takes."

"No. I don't want to go in there. It would mean one more year alone with nothing but you! I don't want to keep relying on you to stop me from doing the things I shouldn't be doing! I want to be able to stop myself!"

We'll cut their conversation off here as we cut to Perfect Cell having already defeated Vegeta and Trunks gave up. Cell asks Trunks, "So do you know who that woman was? Ah Kum was what Tien called her."

"Why do you want to know?" Trunks answers.

"Well you see, I'm quite curious about her. Since you and I are from different timelines I was wondering if this version of you knew who she was?"

"No. I don't have any clue who she was before I got here. Now are you going to finish me off or what?"

"Hmmm. And how strong would you say she is compared to me?"

Trunks was confused why Cell would want to know but answers with a smirk, "A whole lot stronger than me that's for sure. Almost as strong as Goku from what I've heard."

"I see. Say, I'll start a tournament. It will start ten days from now. A favor from yours truly. If you and Vegeta got this strong, I think Goku and that woman would make a fine challenge."

We now cut back to Tien and Ah Kum arguing just to be interrupted by Piccolo shouting, "Would you two stop with all that bickering! It's hard enough that Cell has gotten even stronger! We don't need any more problems on our hands right now!"

That stops their little spout right then and there. Ah Kum faces away from Tien and flies away. Tien only watches, choosing to give her some space.

Some time then paces as cell announces to the world about the Cell Games. Ah Kum was none the wiser since she was not near any broadcasting devices. Krillin brings 16 to Capsule Corp. Vegeta and Trunks head back to The Lookout. Tien left to find Ah Kum and tell her about the tournament. Goku and Gohan are still training.

Three days later, Ah Kum found out about the tournament. Tien still hasn't found her at her usual places nor had anyone seen her recently. Nobody except Cell since on the fourth day Ah Kum paid him a visit.

Goku and Gohan are out of the time chamber now and are casually on the lookout for Ah Kum but not really trying all that hard. Piccolo has gone in for a turn and Vegeta has also gotten a second turn.

"So the anomaly herself has decided to pay me a visit? The tournament isn't until six days from now." Cell spoke playfully. "Here to end it early?"

"No. Here to talk." Ah Kum spoke very clearly. She had no intention of fighting Cell right now.

"Talk? Yes, there is much to talk about. Just like you don't know about me, I don't know about you." Cell makes the first move as he steps off his arena and looks down at Ah Kum.

"I don't exist in your timeline either?" Ah Kum has a calm exterior but is saddened on the inside. "Well then. Where do we start?"

After a moment of an intense stare down. "You are a saiyan correct?"

"Yes I am. Haven't you already guessed that?"

"Hard to say. For all I know you could also be a secret time invader like me. Or even a legendary super human." Cell laughs.

"You're part saiyan yourself are you not? You should feel the need for a good challenge. It's in our DNA."

"Are you here to challenge me? I thought you wanted to talk?" Cell's starts to raise his ki.

Ah Kum notices some of her evil ki leaking out and immediately cancels it out. She turns her back and walks away for a moment. "Believe me I would. But I can't anymore." She turns around and instinctively catches the strike thrown by Cell aiming for her heart. The evil ki then explodes out of Ah Kum as she states, "Be glad that you're part saiyan! I would have killed you where you stood." Ah Kum lets go of Cell's hand and flies away.

Cell is infuriated as he fires a Kamehameha Wave at Ah Kum. "You Arrogant Woman! Don't blame me if you die from this!"

Ah Kum just moves faster than the beam and escapes. She had always been fast at running. This was no different than her running away from her problems. And so she quickly disappeared into the cloudy night sky.

Cell, more annoyed now than ever, eagerly awaits for the day of The Cell Games.

Things with Goku and friends remain the same up to the Cell Games.

On the seventh day before the Cell games launch manages to find Ah Kum. Ah Kum had just hunted a tiger and cooked it to eat. Launch (yellow hair) approached quickly, "Hey Ah Kum! I heard you and Tien had a little dispute!"

Ah Kum was taken by surprise since she didn't sense Launch coming at all. "Launch…" Ah Kum looks away nervously. She saw Launch as a big sister and didn't want her to see how pathetic she had become.

"Why the nervous look? I ain't gonna hurt ya. Just here to see how you're doing. You got Tien looking all over for ya." Launch went to sit down in front of Ah Kum

"I know. This isn't the first time this happened. I just want some space away from everyone." Ah Kum curled up to a ball.

"I got the gist of it from Tien. You're afraid aren't ya. Afraid one little mishap and boom there goes the lives of all your friends." Ah Kum silently agreed to Launch's words. "Why are you afraid? The Ah Kum I know wouldn't be afraid of some little mishap like that. She'd grab it by the jugular and tell that doubt to die!"

"I don't know!" Ah Kum shouts. "I don't know. It just feels like everything I worked on until now is suddenly all ripped away because of some stupid wish I made!"

"You tell me. I've heard you tell me every time I sneeze I become a different person with no recollection of anything I've done before. But do you want to know how I stay the same as I do?"

"How?" Ah Kum looked at Launch. Launch's eyes were like a mother's, comforting and kind. It showed not a hint of delinquency.

But before Launch could answer Ah Kum, she sneezes. Launch's hair is now blue. Now, Launch stares at Ah Kum confused for a moment. "Ah Kum?" Taking a moment to try and recall what just happened from her own memory Launch closes her eyes for a moment. She opens her eyes with a flabbergasted expression, "Oh that's right I was about to explain something very important. What was it again?"

Ah Kum stood up. "You were about to tell me how you stay the same even though you have two personalities!" She hopes that whatever Launch was going to say would help her.

"Oh that, yes. Now where do I start?" Launch began to think how she would phrase her words. "I learned to accept that part of me. I don't ignore it, or try to get rid of it, or run away from it. What I do is still me. Even if I'm not aware of it. If I rob a bank, if I help an old lady cross the street, that is still me. Good and evil doesn't really matter anymore since inside I know that is what I would do even if it's not something I want to do."

"So even if I don't want to kill my friends I'm still going to do it regardless of whether or not I'm aware of it?"

"Yes. But the key here is to find that one thing in common you have within yourself. What is that one thing that makes you, well, you?" Launch places a hand on her heart.

"I don't understand." Ah Kum is frustrated with herself. "I don't know what else to do but to run."

"That's something you need to figure out for yourself. It took me a long time to find mine. But I don't think you have to go too far to find your common place."

The two girls spent the rest of the day talking things out. Eventually Ah Kum sensed the energy signature of Tien approaching and decided to leave before he arrived.

She's still confused on how she should reflect on everything up until now. Running from it only prolongs the issue. Training would only expedite the problem. And ignoring it is now basically impossible. It's only a matter of time before she has to come face to face with her dilemma.

The day before the Cell Games Raditz had found Ah Kum sitting near a small pond reflecting the morning sky. "I had a feeling you'd be in a place like this." Raditz speaks and Ah Kum doesn't respond. "I thought being a coward was my gimmick?"

"I never said I wasn't a coward." Ah Kum said with cold eyes. She sensed Raditz from a mile away but chose to not run.

"Where is the saiyan who broke my arms and legs? All I see is a human sulking near a small body of water." Raditz raises his voice, crossing his arms. Looking down on Ah Kum he continues to speak. "Are you really a saiyan if you're too scared to use your given talents! Too scared of losing control! Too much of a human to enjoy being a true Saiyan Warrior!"

"What do you want, Raditz?" Ah Kum looks up at Raditz. "I didn't see you during the time when Goku brought me to the Lookout. You don't feel like you've gotten any stronger."

"I would have gone in by myself and or with that Nemekian. But I feel like I need to return the favor to you."

"What favor?" Ah Kum sckoffs and turns away from Raditz. "All I did was protect my friends by hurting you. I would have killed you if not for Goku, you do know that don't you?"

"I still remember that day vividly. You had one hand on my throat and were about to break my neck." Raditz softened his voice. "If you truly wanted to kill me you would have. Also… Since when did you start listening to what Kakarot had to say?"

"Only once. Back during The World Martial Arts Tournament. I left the group like this before, but to protect my friends I went back to them."

"Are you going to come back on the day of the Cell Games?"

"That's the plan." Ah Kum sighs.

"Then why didn't you wish for yourself to be teleported to planet Namek when your friends needed you?"

"Goku was there, and I had to bring back all those who died on Namek if you forgot!"

"You were stronger than Frieza in his final form when you made the wish weren't you. You could have easily not had to sacrifice as much if you had just been there to begin with."

Ah Kum then exploded in anger, "What do you want!? Are you just here to get me to blame myself for getting myself in this situation! Because I'm already doing that enough!"

"I'm here to offer us a new start!" Raditz's shout cuts clear and through Ah Kum's rage. "I'm not saying we should ignore what we've done before but we must move on from what we did in the past! Know that you aren't the only one suffering through this identity crisis!"

"Wh-What?" Ah Kum stutters.

"I can't seem to break into super saiyan. Unlike you I'm no stronger than a true low class saiyan warrior. I may have trained but the type of training I'm doing isn't enough. It's a change in mind set that you and I both need."

"So you're doing this because you couldn't go super." Ah Kum says dejected. She thought Raditz saying they were the same meant they were the same. "You wouldn't be the first to try and use me."

"You have so much going for you. What do I have? A kid brother who is now protecting a whole planet from destruction? No, nothing that good. Everything I thought I knew was turned upside down the moment you let me live. And I am not about to die without getting my payback."

Something in Ah Kum clicked. "Fine! You've convinced me. I'll go with you in the time chamber."

"That's it?" Raditz said, surprised. "I would have thought it took more to convince you."

"I have something I want to try in there that's why."

"And what's that?"

Ah Kum ignores and flies off to The Lookout. Raditz follows after. There Goku and Tien were already waiting. Ah Kum tried not to look directly at Tien. Goku was the first to speak. "Took you long enough. The tournament is tomorrow. You might not have enough time to get all that training in."

"I'm here, am I not!" Ah Kum said annoyed at Goku's cheerfulness. "And why is your hair still blond? Can't you like, turn it off or something?"

"It's the type of training I'm doing. A perfect calm in the super saiyan transformation. I'm sure you can do it too if you tried."

Ah Kum walks past Goku intending to head into the unoccupied time chamber. Tien stops her for the moment and apologizes. Ah Kum reassures Tien she's okay and that she and Raditz will work things out with her in the time chamber. Ah Kum then enters the time chamber. Before Raditz could enter Tien and he had a moment together.

"She better not come out worse than she did when she entered." Tien said with a murderous intensity.

Raditz felt a bit scared even though he knew he was stronger than Tien. "She'll come out better than she is now. I'll promise you that."

Tien, feeling reassured, sees Raditz off into the time chamber. Goku also takes a moment to reassure Tien.

The day passed quickly and now it was the day of The Cell Games. Raditz the first to come out looking much weaker than before. Comedically malnourished before Dende comes and heals Raditz.

"Raditz, what kind of training did you do to make you end up like that?" Goku asked.

"You don't want to know little brother." Raditz said a bit scared of how he should answer.

Ah Kum then comes out holding an infant. She is a lot calmer than she was before, more at peace even.

Tien and Goku were very surprised by whose child it was when Ah Kum claimed it was her's and Raditz's child. Goku congratulated them for having a baby together. Tien was staring daggers into Raditz.

"So did you two even train at all in the time chamber!" Tien asked with a calm demeanor but fury in every word.

"Of course we did!" Raditz says in a panic. "I even learned how to go super within that time."

"That's great. How much stronger would you say you are than Cell?" Goku asked nonchalantly, pulling Raditz to the side.

"I can't say I'm much stronger than you are to him." Raditz calmly replied. He then looks over to Ah Kum welcoming their child to the outside world for the first time. She then lets Tien hold the child laughing at how awkward Tien was holding her. "I can say however. If it comes down to it. I'd give my life to defeat Cell and save our family."

"I agree." Goku then laughs at Tien at how awkward he was holding the baby. Getting serious for a moment Goku says, "Today is the day. Are you and Ah Kum ready!"

"You bet! After this is over I think I'm going to retire as a martial artist." Ah Kum stated.

"What!? Why?" Goku was very confused on why she was giving up after this was over. Tien was just as curious.

Before she could answer, Gohan, Krillin, and Yamcha had arrived on the lookout. They are then also shocked by the news that Ah Kum and Raditz had a baby together. They get swept by the moment and fly off to where Cell is hosting his tournament.

When they arrive they see Mr. Satan confronting Cell. Of course the games hadn't started yet so Earth's mightiest hero couldn't finish off Cell. As Trunks, Vegeta, and Nappa arrived the reporters were already interviewing everyone. Again everyone who hadn't already known was surprised by Ah Kum's baby. Vegeta especially so since this was most likely the last pure blooded saiyan ever to be born. Which made him look at Trunks for just a moment.

"So Ah Kum. Why would you bring your child to this deadly battle?" The reporter asked.

"So that she can watch Cell get defeated by either her father or me." Ah Kum said confidently.

Cell hears and scoffs at the idea of her or even Raditz being able to beat him. The reporter was satisfied with that answer and moved on to question the Trunks, Vegeta, and Nappa.

Moments later Cell announces the start of the Cell Games as Android 16 arrives. The first challenger was Mr. Satan himself. He throws the first punch and it lands. Then a kick to Cell's side. A flurry of punches and kicks all landing on Cell.

Cell then casually swats Mr. Satan away then looks over at Ah Kum and Goku. "Well now. Only a couple days and you have a child already. What sort of training gimmick did you use this time?"

"Guess it's my turn to step in." Goku was about to step in but was stopped by Ah Kum.

"Hold my baby." Ah Kum says. Goku was confused for a moment then looked over to Raditz. Raditz nods and then Goku holds the baby, a bit confused on the reason why. "I'll go first."

"Good, I've been meaning to settle that score with you." Cell narrowed his eyes on Ah Kum.

Ah Kum gets into the arena then into a stance. Cell does the same, ready to end the fight in a moment's notice. But before he could register anything Cell was already on the floor. Ah Kum was standing over him charging a ki blast over his face.

This display of dominance shocked everyone beside Raditz. Ah Kum then fired a concentrated beam of energy disintegrating Cell's head clean off. Knowing the battle wasn't over Ah Kum simply gives up by walking off the arena, shocking everyone even more except for Raditz again.

"Why don't you finish him off?" Krillin questioned.

"Is there a reason why you want him alive?" Tien asked.

"Pathetic can't even finish off your enemies!" Vegeta mocks.

"No. That's not my job anymore. I'm not going to try to be anything for anyone else now. I'm just going to be myself. And when I say I'm done, I'm done." Ah Kum walks out of the arena as Cell regenerates his head back.

Even more angry than when she said she could kill him. Now that she proved the difference in strength, Cell wanted to so badly kill Ah Kum.

Ah Kum took her baby back from Goku and pats Goku on the back saying, "Good luck."

Goku starts to understand Ah Kum a little. He himself was planning to hand over the mantle over to Gohan if he couldn't defeat Cell. But he was still confused on why she would want to retire after this moment when she can still get so much stronger. When she could end the threat now.

Putting his questions aside he steps up to fight Cell. Cell wanted nothing more but to ignore the tournament rules and head straight for Ah Kum. But since this was Goku himself getting ready to fight him, Cell decided to let off some steam fighting Goku.

The fight with Cell then remains unchanged. Ah Kum spent most of the time not paying attention to the fight and played with her baby making sure she was safe. Even when Goku gave Cell a senzu bean. Even when Gohan was up to fight. Even when the Cell Juniors were attacking. She didn't care as much anymore. Of course she protected Tien, Krillin, and Yamcha from the Cell Jrs. but she was fully enjoying a moment with her child.

As Cell was trying to get Gohan to get angry Ah Kum puts a pause to it all for a moment to talk with Gohan. Goku also realizes his mistake in placing everything on Gohan.

Ah Kum casually walks over to Gohan. "You had a choice, Gohan."

"I know but. Why can't I do it! I want to be able to beat this monster! I know I can! You know I can!" Gohan is on his knees not knowing why he can't seem to push himself over the edge.

"Look here Gohan." Ah Kum gestures towards her child. "No one has asked her what her name was yet. Do you want to know why? It's because everyone is too focused on killing to remember the joy of life."

"Huh?"

"You're trying too hard to be something you're not. Why did you choose to fight?"

"Because I had to. Because everyone has high expectations of me. I have the power I know I do!"

"Those are all the reasons we gave to you. Find the answer that suits you the best! Something that is truly you! You'll never be the person we want you to be if you don't let it go." Ah Kum gets up and faces Cell while still talking to Gohan. "Or you can just be a disappointment. And give up like me."

Gohan has a moment of awakening. "You're right I am a disappointment. All I ever did was get in the way and lash out when I get angry. But this time I think I know why I'm really fighting!" Gohan gets up and steps next to Ah Kum facing Cell. "You gave me the choice to never have to fight to begin with. So I'd like to return the favor." Gohan's energy slowly began to rise. "Not because I feel indebted to! But Because That's What A Hero Would Do!"

Ah Kum took a good couple of steps back as she senses what was coming. A smile on her face as she knows the Earth is in good hands with the next generation. Gohan screams out a mighty roar. His power skyrocketed to beyond what anyone had ever seen before.

Gohan then makes quick work of Cell. 18 was soon ejected by Cell. The whole Goku sacrificing himself still happens with Ah Kum laughing at Goku's face saying that nobody is going to follow him anytime soon.

After Goku's farewell, he teleports Cell To King Kai's planet, killing himself and everyone on King Kai's planet. A moment of peace and silence as Gohan mourns for the real death of his father. Ah Kum Goes to comfort Gohan. They then get blindsided by Cell as he returns in his super perfect form and, with a single ki blast, aiming to kill all remaining saiyans on the scene. This, if you've already forgotten includes, Trunks, Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz. Strangely enough Nappa with his heightened reaction from taking care of a baby Trunks, manages to take the hit for Vegeta. Trunks however goes down like the original.

Ah Kum had to make a decision, save Gohan or Raditz. She could only do one with the suddenness of the situation. It was as if time had slowed down to a stop as she stared at Raditz. Then she looked back at her daughter in her arms and to Gohan. One more glance at Raditz before making her decision. She jumps in front of Gohan kicking the blasts away from them. The blast heading for Raditz hits and he goes down.

For a moment Tien was scared of how Ah Kum would react, especially since he didn't know what Raditz's and her relationship was like. All he knew was that she might go berserk because Raditz had died. To his relief Ah Kum was as calm as can be.

Cell laughs and begins his monologue of how he survived. Then he stares at Ah Kum and Gohan mocking them for not being able to save anyone. He then shows off his new power.

Gohan, shocked for a moment, powered up immediately. Ah Kum hands a single senzu she kept in case of an emergency to Gohan as she says, "Kill him before I do." She walks to Raditz's dying body and sits down next to it. "Raditz… Sorry, I wasn't fast enough." The only thing keeping her calm right now is knowing that the dragon balls still exist and her crying baby in her arms.

"Ah Kum?" Tien goes over to check on Ah Kum. "Are you feeling okay?"

"No. No, I'm not." Ah Kum starts to cry over Raditz's dead body. "It wasn't supposed to be this way. No one was supposed to die after Goku, so why?"

Gohan eats the senzu and recovers back to full strength. His fight with Cell starts once again much more evenly this time. But Gohan isn't messing around anymore. Every punch and kick had the intent to kill. Cell responds with the same amount of intent to kill with his own attack.

Ah Kum was now trying to calm her crying child and aching heart. Her ki is starting to go berserk. Tien goes and hugs Ah Kum to try and calm her. It all comes to a boiling point as Gohan and Cell begin their Kamehameha beam clash. The clash blew away her tears.

"Tien, take her for a moment." Ah Kum gives her daughter to Tien to hold.

"What are you doing?" Tien asked in concern, holding Ah Kum's daughter.

"I'm going to give Gohan a hand." Ah Kum begins walking up to Gohan's side of the beam clash.

"Don't die!" Tien said with his full voice.

"I'm the star this time." Ah Kum winks back at Tien. "Let my daughter see just how cool her mom is before she retires!" Ah Kum is now standing next to Gohan, "Need some help?"

A smile on Gohan's face, "Sorry, I know I said I'll fight so that you don't have to but I don't know if I could do this alone."

"Come on now. You didn't have another person just as powerful as you by your side before like your dad so of course you'd be sloppy." Ah Kum places her hands together. "Now let's end this monster together."

"Thanks, Ah Kum." Goku said through King Kai. "I wouldn't have been able to die so peacefully if you weren't there. But can I ask you not to help out just yet."

Ah Kum begins charging up a Clear Sky attack. "Shut up, Goku. You're supposed to be dead. No cheating by talking to us through a dead Kai."

"Dad?" Gohan questioned.

"Hey son… Sorry that I placed everything on your shoulders without knowing how you really felt about fighting."

"It's fine. I know you only wanted the best for me. It was my fault for not being able to meet your expectation that you had to die!"

"No. You've gone beyond my expectations. You shouldn't doubt yourself now. Remember what's at stake if you lose here."

"But I can't do this alone. It'd be easier if you let aunty Ah Kum help."

"No, Gohan. You are able to do this by yourself. You are stronger than any of us. You already know that Ah Kum can't control her ki up to a certain point anymore. All that is left is you. If you accept her help now you'll continue to want help from her just like how it was for me. You are earth's protector now. A true Hero that Earth deserves. Now unleash that power!"

Hearing the motivational speech from his father and knowing that Ah Kum was there even if he failed made Gohan able to put his all into the beam. Ah Kum was ready to fire off an attack at a moment's notice if it seemed like Gohan was going to lose. Goku had full faith in Gohan as the ghostly image of Goku appeared next Gohan supports Gohan's Kamehameha wave.

And although Gohan didn't need the help, Vegeta decided to get one hit in with a powerful ki blast on Cell for Trunks and Nappa.

Cell was quickly overpowered by Gohan's renewed confidence in himself. And Cell was completely wiped off the face of the Earth. Just to be sure however Ah Kum fired an even bigger blast disintegrating almost everything in front. Gohan was surprised at the display of power. He knew that Ah Kum was stronger than Cell but he didn't know she was even stronger than him right now.

Gohan began to second guess himself again. He doesn't know if he could keep the Earth safe if threats are of Ah Kum's level. But he resolved himself because he is the only one who can.

The battle was over. Ah Kum quickly went back to get her child. Gohan, exhausted, falls to the ground. Yamcha and Krillin were glad this was all over. Tien still worries about Ah Kum's mental state.

They all reconvene at The Lookout. Dende already has all the dragon balls gathered ready to use at a moment's notice. Dende heals everyone who can still be healed then summons the dragon, wishing everyone back to life.

Goku chooses to stay dead reasoning that if he's dead no one else would die after him any time soon. Also that most of Earth's enemies were there because of him.

"That's so like Goku. Selfish until the end." Ah Kum says as she looks at the now alive Raditz. "And you there. What was all that training for if you're just going to die after just one blast!"

"I was caught off guard. What did you want me to do!" Raditz shouts back. "And you gave the last senzu to Gohan."

"You should've dodged it. Blocked it. Do something! Don't just take the hit and Die!" Ah Kum starts tearing up. "You dummy!"

"You still have one wish left. Please state them now." Shenron speaks, interrupting everyone.

This was then where Krillin tried to wish for the androids to be human again. Shenron can't do it so instead Krillin wanted the bomb removed from the androids. 18 faking unconsciousness then gets up next to 16, who is still alive by the way. 18 goes to question Krillin why he made the wish and Krillin just wanted to give some of their freedom and humanity back.

18 gets flustered and flies away. 16 seeing the threat was over and Goku is now dead chooses to leave with 18 for the time being. Everyone then soon goes their separate ways.

A day of rest later everyone bids future Trunks farewell as he heads back into the future.

"Hey, Trunks." Ah Kum says.

"Do you think your timeline would be any different from ours if I had been alive?"

Trunks takes a moment to think. "No. I don't think so. Whether you're dead or alive it wouldn't have changed the fact that it was because of Goku that the androids were created."

"I see… Well, good luck." Ah Kum gave Trunks a thumbs up. She didn't get the answer she was looking for.

"Thanks, I'll need as much of it as I can get." Before getting in his Time Machine he looks at Ah Kum and says, "Ah Kum… I'm sure that if you were in my timeline there would have been no need for me to have come back in time."

Ah Kum smiles. "Thanks."

Trunks gets back into his time machine and gives one last wave goodbye to everyone. He makes one last good eye contact with Vegeta before disappearing into the timestream. Everyone takes a moment to reflect on the events leading to this moment.

"So why'd you ask that question to Trunks?" Raditz said, pulling Ah Kum into an embrace.

Ah Kum looks down at her quiet child. "No reason. In particular." She then leans on Raditz's shoulder.

And with that comes the conclusion of Dragon Ball Z from the Saiyan Saga through Cell Saga. A short epilogue of the events after:

Ah Kum and Raditz are now living a happy family life with their child. And so are Vegeta and Bulma. Although it takes a longer time for Vegeta to adapt to this peaceful lifestyle.

Nappa enjoys living on a peaceful planet with his new job being to raise the next prince of all saiyans. Although for some reason Vegeta still calls himself a prince not wanting to be known as King Vegeta.

Chi-Chi is pregnant with Goten and is more lax with Gohan's studies. While Gohan has a good schedule mixed with training and studying.

Piccolo is off training and meditating. He knows the next threat to Earth could be appearing any day now.

Tien and Chioatzu entrusted Raditz with Ah Kum giving them their blessings. Later they leave to continue their martial arts training. Launch following closely behind them.

Krillin and 18 eventually got together. Krillin also in this time chose to grow back his hair.

16 reprogrammed now to not kill Ah Kum or Son Goku is now living with 17 in a nature park. They are both rangers and protect the animals there from poachers.

Yamcha is doing well with his baseball career.

Goku stays dead and continues training in Other World. He also eventually develops a new super saiyan form.
