This chapter will only cover the Buu Saga
It has been 7 short and or long years. Ah Kum's daughter is almost eight. Ah Kum gave up on fighting just like she said and has gotten extremely weaker than she has ever been. To be specific she is as strong as when she was fighting Evil King Piccolo. Although she can draw out enough strength as a super saiyan Gohan at a moment's notice. Only drawback is that it teeters on the cusp of her losing control.
Her daughter on the other hand is a very fiery soul. Fighting is in her nature but she prefers to not. She knows about her saiyan heritage and loves that she has a tail since Trunks and Goten didn't have one. It made her feel special.
Raditz has kept up with his training. He's become as strong as Cell before he turned perfecter. He leaves most of the teaching of his daughter to Ah Kum. Although if their daughter had to choose she preferred that Raditz taught instead.
Ah Kum wasn't the best teacher, preferring a more hands off approach to teaching. This direction of teaching wasn't all too helpful for their daughter as their daughter preferred a more hands on approach to teaching, which Raditz excelled at.
Krillin and 18 also got married and had a kid together named Marron. Ah Kum's daughter enjoys playing the big sister to her.
Ah Kum's daughter's relationship to Trunks and Gohan are friendly. They fight once or twice here and there. The hierarchy of power goes Trunks, Goten, then her. She has yet to unlock super saiyan although she doesn't want to do it because it makes her look like a delinquent. Similar to Gohan and her mother when she gets angry her power explodes. Trunks and Goten know not to get on her bad side. They found out about that the hard way.
Now you may be wondering what Raditz and Ah Kum do now since they don't have jobs, don't have much or any formal education on earth, and have gone away from the only personal connection they had to someone who can make money. Ah Kum got it covered by robbing banks just like her big sister Launch. Raditz felt like it wasn't his place to stop her nor did he want to. There wasn't much anyone could do. When Tien found out about this he tried to make her stop but since he didn't have a better alternative to get rich quickly Ah Kum continued robbing stores behind his back.
Soon, an urban legend started spreading about a mysterious woman robbing banks in the craziest of ways. Many say it was the spirit of the dead who lost all their money during The Great Money Crash seeking vengeance. Many say someone placed a curse on the bank company since only big time banks were being robbed from all over the world. Conspiracy theorists blame this as a stunt by an evil organization or the government themselves. Only our heroes know the truth and could do nothing but hope that one day she stops.
Vegeta doesn't care. Gohan was too busy with study to always be on patrol. Piccolo doesn't care. Raditz benefits from this so he turns a blind eye. Nappa doesn't care. Bulma tried but nothing she could invent worked because Ah Kum was either too fast or too strong so eventually she just gave up. Goku was dead. Chi-Chi had her own worries. Tien is not fast nor strong enough on his own even with Chiaotzu. Launch (yellow hair) is proud of her for becoming an urban legend. Launch (blue hair) reprimands her but knows she can't do anything to stop her. Krillin tried but never got there in time. Android 16, 17, and 18 didn't care. Yamcha was too busy with his career. Dende can't do anything but try and warn the others of what she was about to do. Mr. Popo does the same as Dende. They even thought about using the dragon to wish for Ah Kum to be rich so that she could stop robbing banks. But that was a blatant misuse of the dragon ball so they ruled that out (Bulma will later sweat nervously). Earth's mightiest hero Mr. Satan couldn't be everywhere all at once so even he couldn't stop Ah Kum.
Even with Ah Kum's vast knowledge of networking and the arts. She chose to continue robbing banks because that was more fun. It was also by far the most paying job, and she can be at work wherever, and can take a break whenever. It was a win win.
Trunks and Goten, unaware of the true identity of the woman in the urban legend, thought of a plan to capture the woman. It didn't end well for them as they were caught on camera and were scolded by their mothers when the authorities notified them. Ah Kum's daughter eventually figured out where they get their money but doesn't care because it benefits her. She also holds it over Trunks and Goten's head about them not knowing the real identity of the woman behind the bank robberies.
She also, in a way, is inspired by her mom to be an even greater urban legend. Greater than even super saiyan and the level after super saiyan or even further beyond the level after super saiyan. Maybe even a level beyond their controlled super great ape form and even surpassing the gods. A new legend that even the multiverse itself would all come to know.
Ah Kum and Raditz are both pure blooded saiyans with memories of life before the peaceful life on Earth. They raised their daughter almost like a true saiyan warrior. But since Raditz used to be a coward and Ah Kum had lost her memories on her first mission they couldn't really call themselves true saiyan warriors. It was an awkward situation as they went over to Nappa and Vegeta for advice on what was a saiyan warrior. Nappa was a great teacher already having to teach Trunks about his saiyan heritage, so he gave an easy explanation. Vegeta on the other hand told them to buzz off.
Nappa notices how Ah Kum's daughter acted more like royalty and an elite warrior than even Trunks and Vegeta right now. At least how they used to act when their planet was still around. Headstrong, focused, and eager to go out and prove themselves.
Vegeta scoffs and tells them that was the old way of thinking and to look at where all those saiyans are now. And he reiterates, "Dead and rotting in HFIL."
This doesn't discourage Ah Kum's daughter, as right after learning about her race's history, she wants to restore some of that culture. Because she was taught not to conquer, she's not going to senselessly kill innocent lives, but being able to spread fear and respect just by saying what race you were sparked a dream in her. Her goal is to make the saiyan race again revered throughout the whole galaxy. She considers Trunks and Goten to be her first underlings because they are around her age and half saiyans. She thinks she is superior to them since she was a full saiyan, but when the topic of Gohan also being a half saiyan comes up she goes silent. Just like Trunks and Goten, she respects and admires Gohan.
We'll move on to when Gohan invites everyone to the 25th World Martial Arts Competition. He explains that Goku was going to enter with his one day trip back to Earth.
Ah Kum declines the offer since she already quitted her martial art and was probably now weaker than even Yamcha. Raditz on the other hand accepts the offer looking forward to a rematch with his little brother. Their daughter also declines to join. Ah Kum and her daughter wanted to watch and support Raditz in the audience stands.
After Gohan leaves, Raditz begins training for the day of the tournament. He knows that Vegeta hasn't gotten all that much stronger than him. Nappa hasn't been training at all because he's gotten old and training isn't what he is used to. So That only leaves Gohan and Goku as his competition in this tournament.
Ah Kum reminisced about the time she was in the tournament. She even tells tales of what she did during each one she participated in. She especially enjoyed the part when she broke bones.
Their daughter was a bit disturbed by her mother's actions but that was when her mother (Ah Kum) was young she rationed. She herself was afraid of Ah Kum when it really came down to it. And could even sense some of that energy her mother described coming from her from time to time. But now wasn't the time to be afraid as they both cheered on Raditz as he began lifting mountains.
Days past as now it is time for the 25th World Martial Arts Competition! Bulma went around picking everyone up in her flying ship. Everyone was happy to see everyone all together again. Gohan reassures everyone that Goku will come. They eventually arrive at the entrance of the tournament. Everyone is on the lookout for Goku. Piccolo was already there waiting for everyone else. Oddly enough Tien and Chiaotzu were also nowhere to be seen.
"Hey don't be too disappointed. I know it's been a while since you last spoke to Tien, Chiaotzu, and Launch but I'm sure they're fine." Raditz said to Ah Kum.
"Darn. I was so looking forward to showing him how much stronger I am." Their daughter says.
"And how were you going to do that? Didn't you say you weren't participating in the tournament?" Trunks commented.
"This tournament is beneath me." She crosses her arms and flips her hair.
"Hello everyone!" Goku said as he landed down. The first to react was Ah Kum's daughter as she throws a punch at Goku's face. Goku catches on instinct and was surprised that someone would try to attack him when he just got back. "Woah! Did Ah Kum shrink!?"
"Goku!" Piccolo shouts in surprise.
"Dad!" Gohan shouts in excitement.
Krillin starts crying tears of joy.
"G-Goku!" Chi-Chi also starts crying tears of joy. Bulma, Yamcha, and Oolong also join in.
"We were waiting for you." Master Roshi says.
Goten and Trunks stare at Goku confused.
Vegeta and 18 just stare at Goku.
"Young lady, you're being very rude to a dead guy." Ah Kum says. "Good job!" She then gave a thumbs up.
"Brother it's been a long time! Good to see you haven't gotten any weaker from the last time I saw you alive." Raditz goes and moves his daughter away from Goku as Gohan goes to hug Goku.
Krillin joins in the hug with a big laugh.
Goku and Goten then have their happy first meeting. Ah Kum's daughter pouts as she mutters under her breath, "Uncle Tien wouldn't have received this much of a welcome."
"It's not fair, I know. But this is Goku we are speaking about." Ah Kum then whispered to her daughter, "He never fights fair."
"I heard that you know." Goku says and everyone laughs. Goku then notices that Ah Kum's daughter still has her tail. "And here I thought I got a mini me. She still has her tail just like when you were a kid."
"She's also a full blooded saiyan like us. So that makes her two times more me than your son could ever be." Ah Kum tried making Goku jealous.
"Good for you." It obviously doesn't work on Goku. "I've been meaning to ask. Since we didn't have time to hear it before. What's your daughter's name?"
"Hah!? You're asking that now!" Ah Kum was annoyed. Ah Kum pats her daughter on the back, "Go on. Introduce yourself."
Raditz lets go of his daughter and she fixes her shirt before walking up to Goku. "My name is—"
"The sign up to the tournament is closing soon! Please any remaining fighter who has not registered please do it now!"
"Oh no! We need to sign up before it's too late!" Goku is now distracted and goes to sign his name first.
"You know. Now that I think about it. I don't remember if you told us your name or not." Goten comments.
"Seriously I told you the first time we met, I'm—"
"What do you mean you won't allow us to fight the adults!" Trunks shouts.
"I'm sorry but rules are rules."
"Damn!" Trunks was a bit upset not being able to show his strength against the adults. He walks back to the group. "Looks like we won't be fighting with the adults."
"Guess they added that rule so that kids like you won't get hurt playing with the grownups." She says.
"You're a kid too. Besides it's not like you get to talk. Last time I checked you lost to me." Trunks refuted.
"I held back." She turned her head.
Goten goes with Raditz to register their names. Goten really likes his uncle. He was after all the closest thing to having a father figure in his life. If Goten had to compare the two, Raditz definitely seems a lot more serious and scary looking than Goku. He prefers Goku over Raditz because he has a dad of his own now. Goten was a bit jealous until now of Ah Kum's daughter and Trunks because he never got to know his dad.
Soon it was time for them to go their separate ways for a little bit as the contestant went to change into their fighting kid competition ends the same as in the original with Goten and Trunks being the two finalists. Although when Trunks wins he gets a boo from Ah Kum's daughter.
"What? It's not like you could win against Goten." Trunks says.
This comment really fired her up as she shouts, "Fine I'll prove it by beating you!" She jumps into the arena.
Many of the audience members are confused. Even the announcer was a bit confused for a moment. He tried to get them to stop.
Mr. Satan then comes out and says, "Audience members! This is clearly a quarrel between lovers. Let the kids have their little dispute to show who is strongest!"
The crowd takes a moment to think before giving Mr. Satan a loud cheer. Then the audience quickly divided up into two sides. One cheering for Ah Kum's daughter and the other for Trunks.
"Well you hear it folks. Looks like there is a surprise round for our finalist. Trunks versus… Ummm…" The announcer goes to ask for her name.
"It's—"
"Not worth mentioning!" Trunks interrupted. "She didn't even sign up properly and now she's fighting the champion."
"Screw you! Let's just get this over with!" She gets into a fighting stance.
"Yeah go… Hmmm. What was your name again?" Goten said, cheering her on.
"Seriously, Goten!" She shouts. "Forget it! At least you remember my name right Trunks." She looks at Trunks ready to fight.
"Yeah. I'm not like Goten who would forget something as simple as a name." Trunks gets ready.
"Then let's get right into it then!" The announcer shouts.
She charges in first with a punch to the face. Trunks blocks with an elbow then retaliates with a kick to her side. She blocks with a knee then goes with a headbutt connecting with Trunks's chin. Trunks counters with a punch to the shoulder putting some distance between them.
Trunks then advances, coming in with a high jump kick. She blocks with her forearms in a cross shape. She pushes Trunks into the air and jumps going for an uppercut. Trunks catches the hand and begins to spin her and throws her back to the ground out of the arena. She stops short before touching outside and flies back to the arena landing down.
"You know… I've always wanted to try my mom's signature attack." She says as she begins charging her energy.
"What was that? I can't hear you over the sound of me winning!" Trunks shouts still in the air.
"Hey, Ah Kum?" Raditz asked.
"What's up?" Ah Kum replied.
"You didn't teach her Clearing Sky did you?"
"Of course not. I taught her Double Sunday."
"Okay good… wait what?"
Ah Kum's daughter unleashes two spiraling key blasts at Trunks shouting, "DOUBLE SUNDAY!"
Trunks in the air not prepared for the blast chooses to dodge the attack. And he does so with ease. "Double Sunday? Isn't that your dad's move?"
"No it's my mom. She said so herself." She replied back.
"Nope, that's definitely Raditz's technique." Goku replied with a hand on his chin.
"What's mine is his and his is mine." Ah Kum said. "You can't claim the Kamehameha is yours either but everyone says it's your signature technique when in reality it's Roshi's technique."
"I guess you're right about that. But what about Clearing Sky?" Goku asked.
"That is a bit too difficult for me to use or teach. It takes too much energy ever since I've stopped training. I can still use it but it strains my whole body now." Ah Kum shrugs
"Wait so it's not your technique?!" Ah Kum's daughter shouts. "Mom! I wanted to learn your technique! It's not fair that Goten and Trunks know their stronger parent's move. I want to use yours!"
"But your father is stronger than me now!"
"But when you were still training you were much stronger than Dad!"
"Can we get back to the fight!" Trunks interrupted. He landed back on the arena grounds.
"I quit. I thought I was showing off mom's technique." She walks out of the arena.
"Ummm. Well the challenger has stepped out of the arena! Trunks is the winner!" The announcer announced.
"Hey! What's the point if you are just going to give up." Trunks shouts, annoyed he won that way.
She sticks a tongue out at Trunks. "Not like I wanted to win in the first place." She then flies away upset at her mother and father for teaching her the wrong technique.
"Whatever, you sore loser." Trunks replied.
Ah Kum was just about to follow her daughter but Raditz stopped her. "Ah Kum, I'll go talk to her."
"But what about your match in the tournament?" Raditz just stares at Ah Kum, not answering. "Fine. I mean it's not like she's going to want to talk with me since I taught her the wrong thing." Ah Kum agrees then Raditz flies to go after their daughter.
The tournament then continues with Trunks facing off against the world champion himself Mr. Satan. Of course he threw the match against Trunks. Then after a quick food stop intermission, it was now time for the adult matches.
But before the matches had started the group had separated again with the contestant heading towards the waiting area and the audience going back to the stands. The Z-Fighters were then greeted by two rather suspicious men. A short purplish skin man and a tall pinkish skin man.
"Excuse me, but are you Son Goku?" The purplish man asked.
"Yes, I'm Son Goku." Ah Kum said in the place of Goku.
Everyone was surprised by the sudden announcement. Even the two men were perplexed. "I thought Son Goku was of the male gender?" Said the pinkish man.
"That's not funny, Ah Kum." Goku steps in front. "I'm Son Goku. Do I know you?"
The two men composed themselves. "No, I'm afraid you do not know me, but I've heard a lot about you. And you as well Ah Kum." The purplish man said with a smile. "I've wanted to spar with both of you for quite some time. Of course, I don't dare say I could beat you two in a fight. Sadly, I hear Ah Kum has given up martial arts."
"Ohh you hear that Goku. That's a challenge." Ah Kum says, nudging Goku on the side.
"I'm all for it." Goku responds.
"May I shake your hands?" The purplish one asked with one hand sticking out.
"No problem." Goku then stuck out one of his hands and shook the man's hand.
With a creepy smile the purplish man said, "Just like the rumors said. You have a fine spirit." He then lets go and sticks out the same hand towards Ah Kum.
"No thanks. My spirit is very fragile now. I'm afraid it might break with this simple handshake." Ah Kum was dramatizing with the back of her hand on her forehead acting faint. Noticing the distress on the man's face, Ah Kum stood straight. "I'm just joking with you!" She shakes the man's hand. "I never got your name though."
"I go by the name Shin." The man said. "The person with me is Kabito. A pleasure to meet you."
"The pleasure is all ours. Oh supreme one." Ah Kum said, letting go of Shin's hand.
"You know who I am?"
"No, just throwing out godly words like almighty or benevolent ones. And I guess I hit right on the mark."
"Supreme one?" Goku states in surprise and confusion. "Almighty?"
"We'll go in first. The tournament will start any moment." Shin and Kabito then left together.
"Someone you know?" Goku asked Ah Kum.
"I just said no if you didn't hear." Ah Kum then looks to Piccolo. "I do get a feeling like I do when I see Kami Piccolo though. Do you have any ideas?"
"A few. But I need to see more before I can accurately describe those two." Piccolo answers. "For now though, it's safe to say they're not from Earth."
"Agreed." Ah Kum says.
The group agreed until they all realized that Ah Kum was with them and not at the audience stand. "Wait, Ah Kum! What are you doing here?!"
"Well Raditz just left so I'll be filling in for him until he comes back." Ah Kum answers.
The events then play out similarly as to in the original:
Krillin vs Pintar
Piccolo vs Shin
Videl vs Spopovich
Gohan vs Kibito
Mr. Satan vs Android 18
Goku vs Vegeta
Mighty Mask(Trunks/Goten) vs Killa
Raditz(Ah Kum) vs Yamu
We'll move to Raditz talking with his daughter since nothing noticeable changes until Yamu and Spopovich attacks.
Raditz finds her daughter sitting by a small pond. The same one her mother found when she was around her age. Raditz notices she is sniveling curled up into a ball. He approaches her slowly and places a hand on her head, "Hey there firecracker. Feeling any better?"
"Go away!" She shouts.
"I know that your mom taught you the wrong technique but that doesn't mean it's not hers."
"Double Sunday was your technique! Everyone knew it! She made me look dumb!"
"It wasn't her intention to do that." Raditz spoke in a soft voice. "Look, I'll explain to you how her signature move works if you open up." She lifts her head up a bit to stare into her fathers eyes. Raditz could tell she was very upset. Her eyes were swollen from crying. "The attack name is called Clearing Sky. The reason she couldn't teach it to you was because it would use a tremendous amount of energy. It directly draws in the potential power not just from your body but from your opponent as well in one deviating wave."
"That sounds much stronger than Double Sunday."
Raditz gives his daughter a smile. "You already know why your mom can't fight anymore right?"
"She made a wish."
"That's not all." His daughter tilts her head in confusion. Raditz picks her up and places her on his lap. "It's going to be a long story so get comfortable."
She uncurls from her ball with her tail wagging. She wipes her tears away. "Just skip to the exciting parts!"
Raditz laughs. "Okay. We'll keep the story short. Your mom was the strongest person on Earth."
"Even stronger than Gohan?" She looked up at Raditz.
Raditz looked down at her. "Even stronger than Gohan."
"I knew it!"
"She could do anything she wanted but she never could do everything she wanted."
"Why?"
"She wanted to break things, destroy lives, and take what's not hers."
"But she still does all of that."
"Let me finish… She had a brother who helped guide her away from her tendency to commit crimes. That you know is uncle Tien. One day an alien came from outer space and threatened to destroy the planet. Your mom easily put a stop to it and let the aliens live. She could have easily killed the aliens with her signature attack but she chose instead to teach the aliens how to not commit crimes like her brother did for her."
"Can we skip to the good parts already!"
"Alright. Fine if you want the fast version. The Kamehameha and the Galick Gun have been used by and have killed many people. Even the Double Sunday has killed many people. But you know what move hasn't killed anyone yet?"
"The spirit bomb?"
Raditz was stumped for a moment. "Yes, but that's because there's never enough time to gather energy for it. The technique I'm referring to is your mother's Clearing Sky."
She looks at Raditz with curiosity in her eyes. "Mom has never used it to kill anyone?"
"She tried to, but it never worked. Do you want to know why?"
"Why?"
"It's because the move only has potential energy. It takes the combined energy of you and your opponent and stores it until it overflows into an almost uncontrollable energy beam."
"I don't get it? Isn't Clearing Sky a strong attack? Why hasn't anyone that mom used it against died?"
"It's based off of your uncle's signature attack on the Tri-Beam. But instead of using life force as the fuel source it uses potential energy. So in actuality it will never be stronger than your opponent's strength by itself."
"So mom can only bring her opponents to near death?"
"She can kill her opponent with the technique but it'll be difficult for her to not overcharge her body. If she does go over her limit she'll go out of control. It takes a lot of control to not kill your opponent with an attack that strong you know?"
"Because of the wish…" She lowers her head in a frown. "She can't show it off anymore because she might kill someone."
"Yes, because of the wish. Your mom didn't teach you it because she didn't want to. It was because she wasn't able to. I'm not even sure if I could pull it off."
"… … …"
"Feeling any better?" Raditz asked his daughter as she nodded her head up and down. "Now let's head back. I can feel Gohan charging up to super saiyan."
She gets off Raditz's lap and shouts, "Teach me how to go super after the tournament! It's not fair that Goten got it before me!"
"Alright alright. Now, let's head back. I hope I'm not disqualified for leaving the arena." Raditz and his daughter fly back to the tournament.
Just then they both sense Gohan turning into super saiyan 2. Raditz notes that it's either a really strong opponent or something is wrong. His daughter on the other hand flies off even faster not wanting to miss anymore of the action. But when she arrived she noticed Gohan being held by Spopovich and then stabbed by Yamu in his super saiyan 2 form.
"Gohan!" She shouts in worry as she flies in with a kick to Spopovich's head sending him crashing to the wall of the audience stance.
Yamu, not caring about his partner, finishes absorbing Gohan's energy and leaves. Spopovich is knocked out cold. Gohan falls to the ground depleted of his energy.
She then goes over to check on Gohan. "Gohan Are you okay?!"
"Yeah, I think. All my energy seems to be gone though." Gohan said weakly.
She then notices Shin fly after Yamu. Then Piccolo, then Goku, then Vegeta, then Krillin. She was so confused she didn't even notice Videl kneeling next to her by Gohan.
Raditz landed down talking to Ah Kum to figure out the situation. Ah Kum explained to him what's going on and their daughter noticeably gets angry before Gohan tells her to calm down.
Kabito then goes over to heal Gohan. He then goes on to say if they want to know what's happening they should follow him as he flies to join the others who flew off.
"I should go." Raditz says.
"Don't die on me." Ah Kum says.
"As long as you make sure that guy over there doesn't do anything funny while we're gone."
"Deal."
"Can I go too mom?"
"No, I need you to stay here and protect your mom if that guy wakes up again. You got that firecracker?" Raditz said, placing a hand on her head.
"Okay!" She responded. She then watches worryingly as Raditz flies after Kabito.
Gohan shortly joins after with Videl. Trunks and Goten are confused about what is going on.
The situation doesn't change much as the Z-Fighters learn about Bibidi, Babidi, and Majin Buu. Videl heads back to warn the others of the impending threat because she couldn't keep up with the faster and stronger Kabito, Raditz, and Gohan.
The story at the tournament doesn't change aside from Spopovich still being there and Ah Kum still subbing in for Raditz. Spopovich doesn't wake up for the entirety of the match. Mr. Satan still turns it into a free for all because half the fighters left the tournament.
Mighty Mask took care of the riff raff really quickly. And now it was just Ah Kum, 18, Mighty Mask and Mr. Satan. They are having a standoff.
"Be careful Goten, both 18 and Ah Kum used to be stronger than our dads." Trunks whispered."
"Got it." Goten replied.
18 looks at Ah Kum. "The last time I fought you could have killed me. I've heard you've gotten much weaker than before."
"Yeah. Right now I don't think I could even beat you." Ah Kum gets in a fighting position. "But that doesn't mean I can't try."
"Not going to go blond like Goku?" 18 also gets ready to fight.
"Never wanted to. Although I could if I tried."
"Hey! Don't leave us out of this!" Mighty mask also gets ready to fight.
Mr. Statan just stands there, menacingly.
Ah Kum strikes first with a punch to 18. 18 saw the punch move in slow motion, confused as to if Ah Kum really has just gotten weak or that she was hiding her strength. But then Ah Kum drops down as Might Mask attacks from behind her and his attack goes for 18 instead. 18 could really feel the difference in power between Ah Kum and Mighty Mask as 18 blocks the tack with her forearm. Although for some reason Mighty Mask is acting very strangely.
Ah Kum sweeps Mighty Mask's legs causing him to trip. Quickly rolling away from the falling Might Mask, she backflips away from the two. 18 takes this moment to use Mighty Mask's head as a platform, jumping off of him and aiming at Ah Kum with a knee drive. Ah Kum sides steps 18 as 18 almost realized late that she was heading straight out of bounds and easily stopped midair and flew back into the arena.
Ah Kum clicks her tongue as Mighty Mask has recovered and is also flying now to avoid being tripped again. Mighty Mask then tries again to punch Ah Kum. Ah Kum choses to jump towards the sky, not flying. Might Mask choses to follow while 18 floats near the ground.
Ah Kum began to hang in the air for a moment before Mighty Mask reached her. "Trunks and Goten. You know I could get you disqualified if I tell the tournament workers that you are a child and two of them at that."
"What are you talking about? I'm Mighty Mask!" Trunks says.
"She found out our identity already?"
"Shut Up, Goten! You're giving away our identity."
"By the way, flying is cheating. So I'll be falling now." Ah Kum said as she began to fall back down to the arena.
"I won't give you the chance to! Goten We need to fly after her before she gets the chance to tell them!"
"On it!" Goten then positioned himself and Trunks to fly down faster than Ah Kum's fall.
"I said flying was cheating." Ah Kum spread her fingers wide in front of her face and shouts, "Solar Flare!" Goten and Trunks get blinded by a flash of bright light. They also flew right past Ah Kum and landed hard on the ground causing a dust cloud. Ah Kum then gracefully lands down on the ground. As Mighty Mask was recovering Ah Kum goes over to them and whispers, "Let's make a deal. You knock off 18 from the tournament and I'll not tell the tournament committee that you're two people."
"Fine!"
"I don't think it's a good idea, Trunks."
"If we want to win this then we have to do what she says for now."
"I still think it's not a good idea, but okay!"
Mighty Mask gets up and out from the dust cloud he charges at 18. The fight with them proceeds like in the original with Trunks and Goten turning super saiyan and 18 sending a destructo disk cutting their costume in half revealing their true identity. Mighty Mask or now known as Trunks and Goten are promptly disqualified. The two kids fly away before they could get in trouble.
Ah Kum knows that she can't beat 18 as she is now and promptly walks out of the ring just like her daughter. 18 doesn't question this and instead thanks Ah Kum for giving her the chance to make a lot of money. 18 then strikes a deal with Mr. Satan by throwing the match Mr. Satan would have to pay her 20 million zeni. Mr. Satan accepts as she throws herself out of the arena after taking one punch from Mr. Satan. The crowd cheers.
Ah Kum's daughter on the other hand boos her mother for making her dad lose. Ah Kum just chalked it up to a bad matchup. Then all of a sudden Goku, Vegeta, Raditz and Gohan suddenly appeared in the tournament arena. Also Shin was there
Ah Kum's instinct told her something was definitely wrong as Vegeta demanded Goku to fight him. As Vegeta charged up a blast, so did Ah Kum. Then Vegeta fired it at the audience members and Goku tried jumping in the way of the attack but was too slow. Ah Kum then fired her own energy beam deflecting Vegeta's attack into the sky.
"What The Hell Is Going On Here!" Ah Kum shouted. She was already sweating, clearly exhausted from expending so much energy after not training.
"Ah Kum! Thanks I knew I could always count on you to protect the people." Goku answers. "Apparently an evil wizard named Babidi has taken over Vegeta's mind. He's not in control of himself."
"What?!"
Vegeta then fires off another beam this time Ah Kum was too distracted by the reveal of Vegeta being mind controlled to stop the attack from killing the innocent civilians.
"Ah Kum, Nappa, it's dangerous here, so take the others to a safer place!" Raditz shouts.
"On it!" Ah Kum immediately replied back. She flies to the others
Nappa on the side line next to the others was stunned at how Vegeta could ever get mind controlled.
"Snap out of it Uncle Nappa!" Ah Kum's daughter shouts. "Now is not the time to be in a daze!"
Nappa looks at Vegeta for a moment. Vegeta doesn't even look back. "That's just like how he was before he came to Earth."
"You were as useless to me then as you are now." Vegeta says and fires yet another ki blast at Nappa and the others.
Goku powers up into super saiyan and deflect the beam with one hand. Ah Kum and Raditz ready to fire off their own attack at Vegeta.
Shin shouts that all this energy being released will only fuel Majin Buu's seal to be undone. Ah Kum still doesn't know what's going on and takes this moment to evacuate the others. Goku then demands for Babidi to move their location to somewhere with no people around so that he can fight Vegeta. Shin doesn't want this to happen but with a threat of a ki blast at Shin from Goku, Shin quickly gives in as he wanted to stop Buu's unsealing before it could be completed.
Babidi complies and teleports Goku, Vegeta, Raditz, Gohan, and Shin into a desert with small mountains.
Ah Kum sensed their location and thought about going but knowing that Goku and Raditz could probably handle the problem without her. If anything Gohan would be able to figure out a solution to the problem.
Videl eventually arrives and explains to the others what was going on with Gohan's group. Ah Kum felt a bit of worry. They then decided to head towards Capsule Corp to get the dragon balls for the time being. When they arrived both Ah Kum and her daughter could feel the disappearance of
Raditz's ki signature.
"Mom…" Ah Kum's daughter clung to her side.
"Don't worry I'm sure dad is okay." Ah Kum replied.
"Did something happen to Gohan?" ChiChi asked, filled with worry.
She tried sensing Gohan but found nothing. "All I know is that I don't sense his energy anymore. There can be two reasons for that. Either, he's knocked unconscious, dead, in another realm, too far away for me to sense, or is hiding from something that can sense him too." And now that she mentions it she also noticed that Goku's ki signature is gone too. "Raditz you better not die," she mutters.
"Mom… dad's energy is fading." Terror in her daughter's eyes. She grips her mother even tighter.
"Don't worry. I'm sure he's just trying to hide and get away."
Meanwhile at the Majin Buu fight. Raditz is doing his best to fight Buu. But nothing he does can put him down for good. He bought only seconds for Shin and Gohan to escape before being knocked out. Then Majin Vegeta arrives to fight Buu for a moment before being promptly defeated. Trunks and Goten then jumped in to intervene before Buu could kill Vegeta. Piccolo quickly cuts Babidi in half during the confusion.
Back with Ah Kum and friends. Bulma has already gathered the dragon ball. Ah Kum tells the group to wait for the outcome of the battle before any wish. This was in case Vegeta, Gohan, and Raditz had died during this battle or about to to die.
Ah Kum then senses Vegeta's energy flare up then die out. Now Ah Kum was sure. "They're dying… Hey, Bulma, take care of my daughter for a moment."
"What are you saying?" Bulma notices the scowl on Ah Kum's face. "Don't tell me. They're all…"
"If I don't return in thirty minutes, make the wish." Ah Kum said before flying off immediately.
"Mom!" Her daughter shouts. About to go after her 18 held her back.
Flying as fast as she could to the last known location of Raditz in five minutes finding nobody. For a moment she was relieved. But at the same time she was also worried. She didn't know if they were dead or not. This uncertainty annoyed her greatly. She spends ten minutes looking for Raditz and eventually spots him hidden away by some greenery. Quickly going to him with a single senzu bean she always keeps on hand.
She hears breathing and feels a pulse. She then feeds him a senzu bean. Raditz was completely healed and woke up ready to fight.
"Calm down you deadbeat!" Ah Kum gives Raditz a hug. "Thank you for not dying."
"Raditz!" Goku said as he had woken up and instant transmission over to them.
"Kakarot!" Raditz said in surprise. "Did you let Vegeta get the jump on you or something? Where were you?"
"Apologies. I let my guard down. Can you tell me what's going on right now?"
"When Gohan, the Supreme Kai, and I arrived to face Babidi and Dabura, the seal was undone for Majin Buu. Once that monster was unsealed Gohan and I were quickly dealt with. Luckily for us Buu also took care of Dabura for us. I tried buying time for Gohan and the Supreme Kai to escape but as you can tell I failed. I don't sense Gohan or the Supreme Kai anymore."
"No, this is fine. You're alive, that's all that matters. With you two still alive we might have a chance to beat Buu."
"A chance? What do you mean?"
"Although it might be a problem. Ah Kum's power level is far too weak now. And if she goes berserk it's going to be an issue to overcome. Her loss of ki control might also carry over to the fusion too."
"What are you talking about?" Ah Kum turns her head to look at Goku. She is still hugging Raditz. "I'm as strong as ever."
"You've retired from fighting right? I don't want to bring you back just because of my mistake with Vegeta. Speaking of which, let's go to Piccolo and find out what happened to Gohan and Vegeta." Goku places a hand on Raditz's shoulder and they teleport to Piccolo.
"Goku?! And Raditz! You're alive." Krillin said in surprise. "Ah Kum is back as well."
Dende then takes this time to heal Goku. Piccolo explains the events after Goku and Raditz were knocked out. Goku explains the fusion technique and Mr. Popo suggests Trunks and Goten to learn it since there is a huge power gap between Ah Kum and Raditz right now. The sky then turns dark.
"Shoot! I forgot that I was supposed to return to Bulma!" Ah Kum exclaimed.
"I've locked on to your daughter's position. I'll be right back." Goku says before instant transmissioning out.
A moment later Goku arrives back with the rest of the crew. Luckily for them he made it in time before any wish was made. Shenron was a bit annoyed but couldn't do anything about it as he went back into the dragon balls. Ah Kum's daughter immediately went to hug Ah Kum and Raditz crying from relief.
Everyone then hears about the death of Vegeta and Gohan. Bulma and Chichi protest using the dragon ball to bring them back. Goku said it wasn't a good idea right now since the threat of Majin Buu was still around so it was safer to use it after.
Ah Kum suggests why Goku doesn't just fuse with Raditz and deal with Buu already. Goku explains that would be their last resort. Since Goku is still dead, he didn't want them to keep relying on him.
"Then why don't we just bring you back to life?" Ah Kum said.
"Yeah, Goku! If Buu is such a threat, why don't you come back to life?" Bulma added on. Chichi looked hopeful that Goku might come back to life.
With a solemn face Goku says, "I chose to die so that no threat would come our way. I passed on the torch to Gohan who was not ready. The moment I come back to Earth a greater threat arrives. I don't think it's the best idea for me to return."
Ah Kum goes to punch Goku and Goku catches the punch. "Your son just died! And you still choose to stay dead!" Ah Kum was getting noticeably angry.
Raditz goes to hold Ah Kum back. "Ah Kum, please calm down. This is no time for us to be fighting amongst ourselves."
Then to the surprise of everyone, Ah Kum's daughter managed to land a solid punch on Goku. "Gohan Died Because Of You!" She was holding out hope that Gohan was still alive but now takes out her rage on Goku after her mother confirms that Gohan was dead. Goku noticed similar explosive power to Ah Kum and even Gohan in the girl as he defended himself. Then seeing an easy opening, Goku gives one quick chop to her neck and she goes unconscious.
Ah Kum seeing her child getting knocked out was about to explode but she was off guard so Raditz also swiftly knocks her out before she loses control.
Raditz lays Ah Kum's body down next to the side of the building. "Sorry, Kakarot. My daughter inherited her explosiveness from Ah Kum." He then picked up his daughter and later her next to Ah Kum.
"No. I deserved it. It was my selfishness that this had to happen." Goku said.
"Things would have been better had you been alive." Raditz says.
"I'm not too sure… Wait! I have an idea. What if we wished for Ah Kum to get her Ki control back. Then she can—"
"My wife has quit fighting Goku!" Raditz is visibly angry too now. "I know it's hard to quit in that head of yours, but you're going to have to fight me next if you keep talking that nonsense!"
Goku silently agrees. He knows he is asking a bit much from them right now. Especially so since Vegeta and Gohan had just died. Ah Kum is clearly not in any shape to fight and he is still dead. Maybe it was best for him to come back.
Mr. Popo then suggests that Trunks and Goten learn the fusion dance technique. Goku immediately second the idea. Raditz, not seeing anyone else besides Piccolo who could be a good fusion partner, agrees shortly after.
Trunks and Goten were already awake and listening in to the whole ordeal. Goku and Piccolo told Trunks and Goten to follow a bit away from the rest of the group. There Goku just confirms all the doubts they had.
Trunks and Goten wanted nothing to do with Goku. They were both there at the final stand with Vegeta. They both lost someone close to them for the first time. Seeing their friend rage against Goku made them want to also. Piccolo wanted to tell them it wasn't Goku's fault but Goku stops Piccolo as he states he is at fault. He wanted to direct that anger not at him right now but at Babidi and Buu.
Just as Trunks and Goten were about to accept the training, everyone can hear the voice of Babidi in their head. "Hello earthlings! It's us Babidi and Buu. We found a rather large city. It's next on the extinct list. Unless Ma Junior, Goten, and Trunks surrender right now!"
Goten figured out closing their eyes would allow them to see what was happening. Trunks follows suit. They see Buu turn some of the citizens to chocolate and then blow up the city. Trunks and Goten are now directing their anger at Babidi and Buu now as they spoke to Babidi through his open telepathic channel. After Trunks declares that he and Goten will beat Babidi and Buu, Piccolo told them to stop talking to Babidi because Babidi might figure out their location.
"I'll kill you Babidi and Buu. For Gohan and Uncle Vegeta!"
"Is that Ah Kum's daughter?" Piccolo questioned. "Didn't you knock her unconscious, Goku?"
"That's definitely her voice." Goku confirmed. "And it looks like she cut off the telepathic link too." Goku looks towards a corner of the open room and sees Ah Kum's daughter staring daggers into him.
Everyone also looked towards her direction as Raditz walked from behind her carrying the still unconscious Ah Kum. "She has a bit of magic knowledge from Ah Kum but telepathy is about all she can really do right now. That little message from Babidi seems to have woken her up."
"You two learn that stupid fusion technique of his! I'm going to find my own way of beating Babidi and Buu by myself." She says.
"And how can you do that when you don't even know how to turn super." Trunks replied. "Gohan and my dad knew how to go super saiyan 2 and still couldn't beat Babidi and Buu."
"Okay kids, focus. We don't have time for arguing." Goku states. "If she is Ah Kum's daughter then I'm sure she can find a way to become stronger just like her mother when her mother was still practicing martial arts."
"Don't forget, Ah Kum was the strongest out of all of us at one point in time." Raditz said, patting his daughter on the head. "I'll take Ah Kum and my daughter to The Room Of Spirit and Time first. Just come in when you guys figured out this fusion thing."
Goku gives a nod to Raditz. Raditz then takes Ah Kum and his daughter into the room of spirit and time. The events of what happens outside remain relatively the same. So we'll talk about what was happening in the hyperbolic time chamber.
Ah Kum wakes up on the second day inside the time chamber. Raditz teaches their daughter how to turn super sayian. He tells her to channel the anger or to let that anger burst. Ah Kum notices she is in the time chamber and sees Raditz training their daughter and walks into the open room.
"So. You knock me out and drag me inside here." Ah Kum said upset.
"I had no other choice. Both you and our daughter were attacking Goku out of anger." Raditz already noticed Ah Kum awake. Their daughter on the other hand was too angry and the moment to notice anything but her own anger.
"She's having some trouble like you." Ah Kum says.
"I tried the same tricks we worked on together but it's not working. Most likely because she still has her tail."
"No!" Ah Kum said sternly. "She keeps that tail."
"Yes but–" Raditz was about to say something until a strong energy could be sensed from outside the time chamber. "Is that… Kakarot?"
"The energy signature it gives off is definitely his." Ah Kum said shifting focus away from their raging daughter. Then almost as a reverb effect their daughter's energy rises to match with Goku. "This doesn't look good, Raditz. We need to get her to calm down."
"I'll try." Raditz goes to her daughter, marching his way through the tremendous force pushing him away. "Hey, firecracker! You need to get your power under control!"
Although her power was rising her hair had not turned blond. It stayed black. She started to shoot powerful ki blasts at random trying to exhaust her energy. She was on the brink of reaching a new form but she was lacking something. All this power however is starting to break her child body.
Ah Kum could tell and so could Raditz. Raditz was now in super saiyan but couldn't get any closer. The energy of Goku was still reverbing throughout the time chamber. Ah Kum could see no other option but to use Clearing Sky against her own daughter.
"I'm going to use Clearing Sky!" Ah Kum shouts.
"You won't be able to control the energy!" Raditz shouts back.
"I don't need to control it! I just need to expel it from our daughter!" Ah Kum began charging to match the energy signature.
"Don't be stupid! I can barely handle one of you!" Raditz shouts dodging a stray ki blast coming his way.
"But at least our daughter will be fine." Ah Kum was now ready.
Raditz takes a look at his daughter then at Ah Kum. "I trust you."
Ah Kum smiles and fires off her Clearing Sky attack. A large white energy beam engulfed their daughter. The aftermath of the blast had their daughter on the brink of death. Ah Kum faints after the attack making sure to waste all her energy so that there was no chance of her evil energy or regular energy to go out of control. Raditz quickly goes to their daughter first, giving her a senzu bean. She had gone unconscious now but at least she wouldn't be at death's door. Raditz then takes his daughter inside before going to give a senzu to Ah Kum.
Raditz then remembered something about giving her a senzu before. She went berserk after getting all her energy back during the time she was fighting 16, 17, and 18. That must mean she's always constantly controlling her energy. If she suddenly gains back all her energy back like before she'll lose control. Or worse, that dark energy would come out instead.
Since they were in the room of spirit and time they would have a bit of time for Ah Kum to recover naturally, giving Ah Kum a senzu bean wasn't needed for now Raditz rationed. He takes Ah Kum inside and lays her next to their daughter on the bed. He could still feel Goku's energy. "Kakarot. If you had this much power to begin with, why didn't you fight Buu. You two are so selfish pushing the responsibility onto us." He looks at his new family and their sleeping faces and resolves himself. "Let's leave them a note. I need to step outside for a moment."
He steps outside and sees that Goku was on his way out back to Other World and is saying his goodbyes. Goku gives a look that says he's leaving it to Raditz and the others to handle the rest. Raditz sighs, then looks at Goku and nods before leaving with Fortune Teller Baba. Piccolo goes to ask how's the training going with Raditz's daughter and Raditz replies with not good. Raditz asks the same with Goten and Trunks and gets the same reply.
Knowing that there was no time to waste Raditz says they all should head inside The Room of Spirit and Time. Piccolo agrees but it might be a problem since they won't have enough supplies to feed five saiyans.
Raditz smirks and pulls out a capsule, "I always come prepared. Now there is no time to waste!" Raditz opens the door to the Room of Spirit and Time. "Come on Kids!"
"Yes Sir!" Both Goten and Trunks follow Raditz inside.
Piccolo choses to stay outside for now since Raditz had also seen how to do the fusion dance and trust that he can teach the two kids.
When Raditz, Goten, and Trunks arrive in the time chamber they notice Ah Kum just sitting in the open watching something in the sky. They all look up and Raditz immediately recognizes it as an artificial moon.
"How? Did you do it?" Raditz said. "Only the elites know how to use that technique."
"She figured it out. After taking my attack. We woke up about three days ago. She was so scared that she killed you." Ah Kum said. Ah Kum grips her hand tightly her voice shaking, "I was so scared I killed you"
Raditz got down sitting next to her touching shoulders. "Where is she now?" Raditz asked.
"Inside hiding. She barricaded herself inside because she's scared to use her power."
"Good. It would be troublesome to have an Oozaru rampaging around right now."
"Does that mean that she can turn into a giant monkey if she looks at that?" Goten asked.
"Goten, I don't think it's the right time to ask that right now." Trunks says. "Look." He points to Ah Kum.
"I'll leave the remainder of her training to you. I need to teach these two the fusion technique." Raditz says changing his focus back to Goten and Trunks.
"Alright." Ah Kum responded as she calmed down.
15 days have passed and the two boys are now familiar with the fusion technique. Ah Kum is still fixated on the power ball that hasn't disappeared once in the 15 days. Her daughter on the other hand hadn't appeared once in those 15 days.
On the 20th day Piccolo informs them Buu has found the lookout and is now heading inside. He's stalling for two minutes leaving them twelve hours to prepare in the time chamber. Trunks and Goten believe they are ready with their fusion. Raditz thinks so too, having spared against the fusion himself. Ah Kum notices the power ball vanishes the moment Buu's name is mentioned. Her daughter steps out calmly.
"And what have you been doing?" Trunks said. "We're working our butts off here while you wasted twenty days doing nothing! Didn't you say you were going to kill Buu?"
"I didn't spend 20 days wasting away."
"Ah Kum did you teach her something the three days I wasn't here?" Raditz says.
"I gave her a little advice about controlling energy." Ah Kum stares at her daughter.
All five of them spend the remaining 12hrs resting for the eventual battle. It passes quickly as Piccolo enters with a different looking Majin Buu from the one Raditz, Goten, and Trunks remember. But the energy remains the same.
Trunks and Goten up front and ready. Raditz is also ready. Ah Kum hoping for the best and her daughter just waiting for the chance to show off. Buu gives Goten and Trunks time to fuse and they become Gotenks. The fight then escalates to super saiyan 2 Gotenks. Raditz and Piccolo knew that wasn't enough to beat Buu. Ah Kum and her daughter watch.
"Stop wasting time and go to the next level and finish him already!" Raditz shouts.
"Alright! Sheesh. Watch this!" Gotenks shouts and his power goes up into super saiyan 3. "YEAH! Now let's get this show on the road!"
Buu smiles seeing this strong opponent. Gotenks then easily overpowers this version of Buu. But just as Gotenks was about to finish off Buu the fusion ran out, splitting Gotenks back into Goten and Trunks.
"Not good!" Raditz said, about to jump in. Buu then suddenly goes to sleep. "This is… Unexpected. Whatever, we need to get out of here now!"
"Copy that! Everyone out of the time chamber!" Piccolo shouts
Ah Kum's daughter, Goten and Trunks are the first out. Piccolo right after.
Raditz says, "I'll stay behind and make sure Buu doesn't ever come out."
"I'm not letting you do that!" Ah Kum knows that Raditz is planning to blow up the exit once everyone leaves to ensure Buu is sealed in the chamber. "I'm not letting you die!"
"This is the only way!"
"No it's not! We just need to stall until Goten and Trunks are able to fuse again then we can win! Goten is just like Gohan after all! They got overconfident with that power and wasted time. This time they'll finish Buu off for good once they re-fuse!"
Raditz nods. "You're right." Ah Kum smiles in relief for a moment before being pushed outside by Raditz. "But not this time."
Ah Kum's eyes widened as she realized what just happened as the door closed. "NO!" She went to open the door but inside was just a small empty room. "No no no!"
"What happened?" Piccolo asked, noticing Ah Kum breaking down.
"Where's my daughter?" Ah Kum asked.
"She's right… here?" Piccolo said, noticing that Ah Kum's daughter is not there anymore. "She was just here!"
Ah Kum falls to the floor on her knees. "They're stuck inside the time chamber." Her head hung low. She couldn't even get angry anymore. She only felt sorrow.
"Don't tell me! Raditz blew up the exit inside and your daughter snuck back in at the last minute!" Piccolo asked. Ah Kum remains silent. "I'll… Give you some space." Piccolo walks back to the group at the Lookout. Ah Kum soon begins to cry her heart out in the now empty room.
Piccolo explains the situation to everyone when he arrives back to the group. Bulma and Chichi understand the pain and wanted to go see if there was anything they could do to help but before anything else could be said a portal opens up in the middle of the look out. And one energy signature came out of it. That being, Buu. Panic ensues as in a moment he turns everyone besides Piccolo, Trunks and Goten into chocolate.
"That's too soon! The fusion is still on cooldown!" Piccolo shouts.
"Mom!" Both Trunks and Goten shout to their respective mothers.
"Buu is Hungry!" Buu easily moves faster than what the three could see turns the non-fighters into chocolate and devours them. "I won't give you time to turn into that person again!"
Buu is about to kill Trunks but gets kicked by Ah Kum. Trunks and Goten were surprised and relieved at Ah Kum's presence but it didn't last very long. They notice an ominous aura around Ah Kum.
"Trunks! Goten! Get away from her now!" Piccolo shouts. He recalls what happened the last time this ominous aura came out. If it wasn't for Krillin's bald head that reminded her of Tien, she would have killed indiscriminately.
Ah Kum looks at Trunks and Goten. "You're not them!" Both Trunks and Goten look back with nervousness.
"YOU MAKE BUU ANGRY!" Buu shouts, powering up.
Ah Kum shifts focus to Buu. "You're… The Enemy." Ah Kum moves quickly, appearing in front of Buu's face. "Die." Ah Kum shoots a ki blast, blowing a hole into Buu.
Piccolo takes this time to relocate Trunks and Goten so that the cooldown time can run out.
Thus begins the hour long fight. In the first half Ah Kum's raw power was winning. But Buu's regeneration and near infinite stamina wore her down during the second half. Just like the fight with the androids. But something has changed this time. Ah Kum had no way of ending the fight. It was only a matter of time before she lost.
Trunks and Goten fused and arrived a little too late as Ah Kum got turned into Chocolate and eaten. Buu sees Gotenks and laughs, he knows how to deal with them now and runs out the clock on the fusion timer. Gotenks tried his best to finish off Buu but their inexperience got the best of them as Buu evaded all lethal attacks. Just as Gotenks defused and was about to be killed by Buu, Gohan arrives.
With his potential unlocked once again Gohan was the strongest now by far. Easily overpowering Buu. But he makes the same mistake as he did with Cell. He took his time with Buu, torturing Buu for all those Buu had harmed. Toying with Buu for so long Goku had to telepathically tell him to finish Buu off.
As Gohan was going to finish Buu, a portal opens. From it Raditz came out of it and with him a woman covered in red fur.
Gohan was relieved that Raditz was still alive. He was also wondering if it was Ah Kum he was with, not recognizing the woman.
"Mom is dead." The woman said.
"Finish the battle first. Don't let that anger get the best of you. You are her daughter. Our daughter. Make us proud." Raditz says.
"I'll finish him off now." Before anyone could notice Ah Kum charged up a Double Sunday and killed Buu instantly. Vaporizing Buu from the face of the earth. "So this is what it feels like to kill. I don't like the feeling. It's disgusting. I can see why mom wanted to stop. But it's not over yet."
"Is that you?" Gohan asked the woman. He was dumbfounded by the amount of energy she was giving off.
"It's me, Gohan. But do be careful Buu isn't dead yet." She says.
A chunk of Buu opens up to absorb Gohan. Ah Knocks Gohan out of the way. She puts up a ki barrier around herself so as to not get fully absorbed by Buu. Gohan looks in horror believing things would get dangerous if Buu gained her new power. Raditz had full confidence all they had to do was hold out a little longer.
This is when Goku came back alive in a panic telling Raditz and Gohan about the potara fusion. Raditz laughs and tells Goku to hold off on the panic explanation as he points to Buu who hasn't changed at all.
Buu attacks the three then suddenly but stops as out from Buu comes an energy beam. And from the hole the beam left comes out Raditz's daughter holding onto a very familiar face of Fat Buu.
"Something is happening." Raditz said as he looked at super Buu screaming. His daughter watches wondering what is going to happen next.
Goku shouts for her to finish off Buu before any more damage can be done. She doesn't listen, wanting to make the same mistakes as Gohan and see if she could do better. Raditz looked worried but never doubted that his daughter wouldn't get the job done.
Gohan wants to finish Buu off here and now but Raditz's daughter puts an arm in front of Gohan. She sternly shakes her head. Gohan backs down saying, "My dad always said your mom was stronger than him. I think if we were born around the same time it would have saved us a lot of trouble."
She smiles, "Thanks, that means a lot coming from you." She shifts her focus back to Buu.
Buu finished screaming. His power is definitely more chaotic than what it was before. He is now Kid Buu, the purest and most chaotic version of Buu. Buu then intends to blow up Earth with his technique Planet Burst. One hand above him and a giant sphere of energy appeared. He launched it at the Earth.
Goku wants to quickly get everyone out with instant transmission. Raditz agrees as he and Goku linked hands and teleports next to Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo. "Come on, we need to get out of here!" Goku reached out a hand to Gohan.
"You head out first. I want to see this through to the end." Gohan replied.
Goku smiles as this was the scene that should have played out during King Piccolo but due to their hubris Goku and Ah Kum never wanted to fight an enemy together. And by the time they wanted to fight together like in the cell games Ah Kum had already lost her control over ki. Goku teleports out knowing that if either one of them goes down the other will be there to finish where the other left off.
Raditz's daughter kicks the ball of energy and it disappears. "Let's do this right with Mom's signature move." She says putting her hands together charging her attack. "I'd appreciate it if you were to finish Buu off after this attack."
"The honor is all mine." Gohan puts his hand's together. "Kaaa Meee Haaa Meee!"
Kid Buu flies up charging another Planet Burst. Buu launches his attack first.
She then takes a moment to think back on a thing that her mother told her during the three days they were alone in the time chamber. She closes her eyes to concentrate.

"Clearing Sky. I design my attack not to kill."
"Why?"
"Because killing is unnecessary."
"But you've killed before right?"
"That doesn't mean I liked it."
"So how does your technique not kill if it was so strong?"
"The Kamehameha, also known as the Turtle Destruction Wave has a name that implies destruction. The Galick Gun has a gun in it. Double Sunday hits you so hard it knocks you to next Sunday. My Clearing Sky does what it says it does: it clears the sky."
"By destroying everything so that the sky clears up."
"You would think that wouldn't you. No, I don't destroy anything. Instead I scatter the particles around the area within the beam. Everything is still there but now scattered. And it's going to take all your opponent's energy to stay in one area. That's why it doesn't kill. But one little mistake and I might also scatter myself. That's why I didn't want to teach you because I wouldn't be able to control it."
"Why don't you just kill them?" Her daughter asked. "Wouldn't it be easier to just overwhelm them with energy?"
"If you used all your energy in one attack what do you think will happen if it doesn't work?"
Ah Kum's daughter can feel Buu's fear of her. She charges up her mother's attack. Buu's Planet Buster closing in. Ah Kum's daughter opens her eyes unleashing a move she Shouts, "Clear Sky."
A white beam of energy connects with the giant pink sphere of energy and deconstructs it. The energy scattered into her own. Buu does resist for a moment but is soon overwhelmed. Buu's entire body disburses into particles.
"Haaa!" Gohan with the final blow unleashes an enormous Kamehameha at the pink gas particles before Buu could reform.
Buu was now vanquished.
Ah Kum's daughter reverts back to her child self after exhausting most of her energy with the last attack. Gohan catches her before she falls to the ground. He congratulates the young lady for a battle well fought. She smiles at Gohan thanking him for not dying.
Trunks and Goten, watching from the Sacred World of Kai, were surprised at how strong she had gotten compared to them. Even with their fusion they were unsure if they could beat her now.
Piccolo is glad this whole ordeal is over.
Goku and Gohan noticed how similar her energy was to Ah Kum when she was at her best. Goku quitely wished that Kid Buu would be reborn, that he'd be a good person and that they should have a match with each other one day on equal and better terms.
All the remaining fighters reconvened on Earth as now they look at the remaining fat Buu. They wonder what they will do with this version of Buu. Also the fact that Goku is alive again. That's when Mr. Satan appeared and vouched for Fat Buu's innocence. With a bit of convincing from Piccolo the remaining fighter allows Buu to live.
Eventually they went back to where the dragon balls were placed and called upon Shenron to revive everyone good killed by Babidi and Buu back to life, Vegeta included. Next they wish to repair all the damage caused by Babidi and Buu. The last wish they made everyone on Earth except the main crew forget about Babidi and Buu.
There was one caveat case however. Ah Kum was not brought back to life. Before they could ask Shenron why Shenron dispersed and the dragon balls were turned into stone.
"This doesn't make any sense! Why wasn't Ah Kum brought back!" Raditz shouts. He turns to Dende, "You, Namekian, call back the dragon and have him explain!"
"Raditz, calm down. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation." Goku steps between them sensing that Raditz might harm Dende.
"I can explain." Tien said, arriving at the lookout.
"Uncle Tien!" Raditz's daughter shouts in joy as she goes to hug him.
Raditz turns his attention towards Tien, visibly angry. "What explanation can you give!"
"When Ah Kum fought with Buu she gave into evil. Like Vegeta. Although she hadn't killed anyone before, her soul was tainted and therefore deemed as not a good person."
"And how do you know all this!" Raditz shouts. "Where were you when she was fighting Buu!"
"I can say the same to you." Tien spoke back. "I noticed your energy signature did not return from the room of spirit and time."
Raditz then held back from speaking more. He knows now that he caused Ah Kum to use that evil ki just to contend with Buu.
Raditz's daughter then interjects. "Mom is doing fine."
"What?" Raditz looks at his daughter. He was confused and still frustrated with himself.
"If you would calm down and listen. Just let me rest for a while." Ah Kum telepathically said to everyone. "I'm tired. It's already a struggle to try and reach you from so far away."
"Ah Kum?"
"I'm still trying to regain self control." Ah Kum spoke weakly. "Wait a little longer while I try to purge myself of this evil out of me."
"Why? Come back to us. If this is about what I did, I'm sorry. I didn't expect Buu to be able to escape so easily." Raditz shouted to the sky.
"I don't blame anyone but myself. I'll get over this. I'll come back even stronger. So that I can protect those I care about without having to rely on uncontrollable energy."
"But—"
"It's okay dad." Their daughter spoke up. "Mom is the strongest. She'll be back in no time."
Raditz looks at his daughter. Water begins to form in his eyes as he turns to face away from everyone. "You're right. I almost forgot about how strong your mother is." Doing his best not to cry he tilts his head up. "You keep telling us not to die but why did you have to go and get yourself killed." There was no response from Ah Kum. "So that's your answer. Well, that's fine! Stay dead! I won't be joining you anytime soon!"
"I'll keep a good watch on dad for you mom! So you don't have to worry about him!" Their daughter shouts.
"Ah, that reminds me. I never got to know your daughter's name." Goku said.
"Seriously!? I'm dead and that's what you bring up now!" Ah Kum shouted in everyone's head. "Well for those who also forgot it's—"
"It's okay mom. I'll do it myself." Her daughter interrupts. She walks to Goku, bows her head and says, "My name is…"
And with that we have come to the end of the Majin Buu Saga. Will the viewers ever get to know her name? Will Ah Kum ever come back to life? Find out next time in Dragon Ball Super!
Epilogue:
Raditz and her daughter go back to living how they used to live. This time his daughter is taking up the mantle of robbing banks as their source of income. They also assume the form she takes when going into what she called "super oozaru" can only be obtained with a tail and a moon present for the initial transformation. She has yet to be able to freely go in and out of the form without the aid of a moon or a moon like entity.
Goku is working hard to surpass super oozaru. Gohan is also trying to reach the next level in his own way although his studies hinders him a lot in terms of training. Goku and Gohan train more regularly together so as to not fall too far behind.
Goten wants a tail so that he can become a Super Oozaru. Chichi denies Goten's request stating she will not have to deal with another giant monkey family member if she still had something to say. Gohan and Videl get together during this time of peace.
Piccolo goes to meditate for the next threat to planet Earth. He knows that trouble is just around the corner with Goku back alive. He is also on the look out for Ah Kum's revival.
Vegeta has come to accept that he himself may be inferior to both Goku and Ah Kum. Even their offspring have found a power to surpass him. Ah Kum and her daughter, then Goku and Gohan each have a power he doesn't have. Each going a different path to power. Ah Kum has that evil ki. Goku has super saiyan 3. Gohan has his potential unlocked. And last but not least Ah Kum's daughter with her Super Oozaru form. He's even thinking of going to Other World to train since it helped Goku and Ah Kum to obtain great power. But it felt like he was still playing catch up so he decided he was going to find his own way to power.
Trunks also wants a tail to become super oozaru. Napa seconds Trunks notion of wanting a tail. Napa lost his a long time ago and has gotten used to not having it but he would prefer to still have it. Bulma straight out denies Trunks and Napa getting tails due to the chance of Trunks turning into a giant monkey and breaking everything.
Krillin goes back to living happily with 18 and their daughter. They got a home away from Kame House.
Tien and Chiaotzu continue their martial arts training. They are saddened by the death of Ah Kum but know that she will be back someday. Launch has moved on from Tien and now is doing her own thing.
Master Roshi is doing his normal activities at Kame House.
Buu and Mr. Satan continue to be the best of friends. The Supreme Kai and Grand Supreme Kai are alive and well. There was no need to go look for a new Namek.
