Chapter 1: Start of the journey
Hello, dear readers. I hope you enjoy my story. This will be a smart ash story and with a different starter for Ashley, not pikachu. She will also participate in contests. Read and Enjoy.
The story starts and we see a 10 year old ashley ketchum, just waking up. She quickly got freshened and dressed in a blue jeans shorts, a short sleeved black tank top with a blue jacket over it. She grabbed her bag already packed and ready for her journey and rushed downstairs, to see her mom, delia ketchum at the kitchen counter making pancakes, her dad, Red ketchum, the current pokemon master and world champion, sat at the table too.
Ashley's pov
You hug them saying good morning and sit down to eat. Red speaks up," So princess, you ready to start your journey?"
Ashley," Yes dad, I'm so exited to get my first pokemon too."
Delia," Breakfast first, sweetie."
After breakfast, just as your leaving, Red stops you and gives you a pokeball.
Red," Here, its a gift for you journey. Open it later ok princess."
She hugs and heads out. at professor oak's lab, she knocks on the door, and professor oak answers the door.
Professor oak," Ah, ashley come in."
She goes in to see Gary already stading there, with two other starting trainers.
After th usual starting speech professor oak let's you all pic your starters, seeing there were 4 trainers and 3 starters he talked to some of his colleagues to see if they had any spare starters and professor sycamore and professor Juniper had sent over two pokemon.
Since Ashley arrived last, the other three got ther staters first. Oak then turns to you.
Oak," Ashley, since i didn't have any spare starters i asked some of my colleagues and they sent over two pokemon who you choose from.
First, he released a small fox like pokemon yellow in colour with a bright orange tip tail, with black eyes. A fennekin. Next, he released a deer like pokemon with top half of it's body pink with flower designs and the under side a pale yellow, with what looked like a yellow flower on it's head. A deerling.
He hands you an international pokedex since your pokemon didn't belong to kanto. She scan fenniken first.
Pokedex: Fenniken, the fire fox pokemon.A fire type. Fenniken likes to eat twigs instead of snacks. It intimidates its opponents by puffing hot air out of it's ears. This fenniken is a female. It's ability is blaze. Known moves: Scratch, Ember, tail whip, flamethrower, tackle and psychic. Egg moves: heat wave(unlocked), hypnosis(locked).
She then points the pokedex at deerling.
Pokedex: Deerling, the deer pokemon. A normal/grass type. The change of season changes the colour and scent of this pokemon's fur. People use it mark the seasons. This deerling is a female. It's ability is sap sipper. Known moves: Tackle, bullet seed, energy ball, solar beam, sand attack. Egg moves: fake tears(locked), Baton pass(unlocked), synthesis(locked).
Ashley," Wow, you are very strong. It's a hard choice." Both pokemon rub against you affectionately. She blinks surprised.
Professor oak says how they both seem to like you and decides to let you have them both. He gives you their pokeballs and the other five spare pokeballs.
You head out, the other trainers and gary had left long ago. You go to route 1, and remember the pokemon your dad gave you. She releases it, to her surprise it's a small deino, a dark and dragon type also from unova. She pulls out her pokedex and scans it.
Pokedex: Deino, the tiny dragon pokemon. A dark/dragon type. Lacking sight, it's unaware of it surroundings, so it bumps into things and eats anything that moves. This deino is a male. It's ability is hustle. This deino is level 40. Known moves: Outrage, Dragon pulse, Dragon breath, focus energy, tackle, roar, bite, hyper voice, take down, protct, fire fang, thunder fang, Ice fan, ragon tail, zen headbutt, thunder wave, and draco meteor. It's egg moves: Headsmash(unlocked), Astonish(unlocked).
Ashley," Wow dad really trained you well huh." You pet deino and returned him to his pokeball continuing your journey to viridian city.
On the way, you stop for lunch. After eating the packed lunch your mom had given you and feeding your new pokemon, you continue on your journey when you come upon the river that runs by pallet down and decide to do some fishing.
You sit down and pull out your super rod, and start fishing. After a while, feel a tug, you pull and reel in a gyarados.
Ashley," Aaaahhh!!!" *the gyarados, a red shiny to your shock, doesn't look happy either and charges up a hyper beam, you quickly release deino."
Ashley," Deino, use dragon pulse."
The dragon pulse hits gyarados head on but it doesn't seem phased at all.
Ashley," Thunder fang, let's go."
Deino bit gyrados using thunder fang as it roared in pain, the thunder fang was super effective but now gyarados was even more angry and charged up a dragon pulse.
Ashley," Deino, dodge and use thunder fang again."
Deino managed to dodge at the last second and bit gyarados with thunder fang again. Taking the opportunity, Ashley throws a pokeball at gyarados. The balls shakes a few times before it dings signalling capture.
Ashley cheered and praised Deino before picking up the pokeball. She released gyarados again and healed it before pulling out her pokedex to scan it.
Pokedex: Gyarados, the atrocious pokemon, and the evolved form of Magikarp. A water/flying type. They say that during past wars, Gyarados would appear and leave blazing ruins in it wake. This Gyarados is female. It's ability is Moxie. This gyarados is level 30. Moves: Leer, Splash, tackle, twister, hurricane, Rain dance, whirlpool, aqua tail, waterfall, ice fang, hydro pump, water pulse, dagon pulse, hyper beam, bite. Egg moves: None.
Ashley," wow gyarados your very strong." She praises, before returning gyarados and deino, and continued walking towards Viridian city. She stopped in a clearing for lunch, after eating with her pokemon when she saw a large bird pokemon in the nearby grass. A pidgeotto. She sends out deerling.
Ashley," Deerling, use bullet seed on pidgeotto."
Pidgeotto was caught off guard and took the attack head on taking damage.
"Now use enegy ball." But pidgeotto dodged and use whirlwind.
"Deerling, dodge and solar beam." Pidgeotto gets hit and falls the grass injured, you throw a pokeball at it and capture it. You release it and heal it. After that, you pull out your pokedex, and scan it.
Pokedex: Pidgeotto, the bird pokemon and the evolved form of Pidgey. A flying/normal type. Very protective of it's sprawling territorial area, this pokemon will peck fiercely at any intruder. this pidgeotto is a female. It's ability is keen eye and big pecks. This pidgeotto is level 15. moves: Tackle, peck, steel wing, whirlwind, Aeriel ace, twister, sand attack, agility, air slash. Egg moves: Air slash(unlocked), brave bird(locked).
Ashley smiles and returns pidgeotto and continues on. She finally reaches Viridian city by sun down. She heads to Viridian city pokemon center. After nurse joy her pokemon she books a room in the pokemon center. After calling her mom and professor oak, she hads to eat dinner. After dinner, she heads to her room.
