Chapter 1 Crossed the Line. Broken Rule
Vice-Captain Riveria Ljos Alf was walking through the streets of Orario late at night, trying to calm her nerves.
Her face was grimacing with anger and irritation.
What caused this?
As always, Bete Loga managed to get drunk and behave rudely. Although this is not the first time. But today he managed to surprise everyone and exceed all their expectations. Riveria, Finn and Gareth had to apologize to everyone once again.
Riveria: "Bete! You've gone too far. Okay, be rude. Okay, flirt, Okay, look down on all the aspiring adventurers and cause trouble. Not the first time, we're used to it. But now you've crossed the line. (Author: I haven't figured out what line he crossed. Maybe you can figure it out yourself?)" - she thought, her legs getting tired.
She decided to go somewhere and take a rest, since unfortunately there wasn't a single bench nearby.
Noticing a light in the nearest building, she went up to it. Looking at the sign above the door, there was a bird in a cage painted on it. It was a pet store. Riveria went into the pet store.
The sound of the bell attracted the attention of the owner, who was leaning on the counter: "Hello. Good evening. What do you need?" - he asked politely.
Riveria: "Hello. Good evening. Excuse me, but I came here to rest a little. I walked too long, trying to calm my nerves, and I saw a light in the window. I hope you don't mind?" she asked the store owner. Hoping not to offend him.
Owner: "Of course not. Please, you can even look at the goods on the shelves to unwind. Maybe you will even find something interesting?" he said, waving his hand around his store.
Riveria nodded and decided to also look at what they had, in order to calm her nerves. The store had leashes, muzzles, toys, cages, food, toilets and a bookcase, an open one.
Walking towards the closet, since it was more interesting than all the other goods and to see what books they sell and, maybe, to buy one.
There were books on caring for different animals. Birds, snakes, fish, spiders, cats and dogs.
Riveria picked up a book on dog grooming and just wanted to flip through it. See what was interesting about it.
After reading a few pages, she laughed a few times comparing some of the behavior to their dumb dumb werewolf Beta and how they recommend training dogs to be obedient.
After closing the book, Riveria was about to put it back.
But she stopped when an idea came to her mind.
After looking at the book again, she returned it to herself and walked to the store counter with a sly smile on her face.
Riveria: "Excuse me, may I ask. How much is this book?" she asked, showing the book.
Owner: "This book costs 1200 valis." he replied.
Riveria: "I'm buying it. Here, take it. Please." she said, taking out a bag of valis.
After leaving the pet shop, Riveria walked home to the Twilight Manor with a sly smile and slightly darkened eyes, clutching a book to her chest.
Riveria: "Wait for Bete, Soon you will be decent and obedient." She said, chuckling along the way.
I don't know how many chapters there will be, but definitely no more than 10-20 chapters.
