Juliana, Carmine, Kieran, Orgepon and Terapagos were camping outside at the Timeless Woods. They even put up tents and roasted some s'more and ate hotdogs. Then, for a while, they gaze up at the night sky and the wonderful full moon.
"The night sure is beautiful, huh guys?", said Carmine peacefully. Juliana looked mesmerized by the moon.
"Yeah, it sure is", Juliana concurred. Carmine couldn't stand how adorable Juliana enjoyed that moon and gave her a cooing "Aw". "Juliana. You're so cute. You like the full moon, don't you."
Juliana nodded her head with a warm smile. "I sure do. It reminds of me of all the times me and my Mom look enjoy the full moon. And we still enjoy, even though we haven't camped before. It's the most majestic thing to look at in the entire world."
Carmine couldn't help at squeal and hugged Juliana because of how happy she looked and it was adorable.
"Ponio Pon!", Orgepon chirped.
"Terapagos Tera!", Terapagos squeaked.
Orgepon and Terapagos were playing tag around the moon forest, but at a close distance to where Juliana could see them.
Kieran was just looking at the stars before clearing his throat to say something. "So, you're gonna love a spooky story I have for all of you", he said.
Carmine scoffed at Kieran's little spooky story mention. "Kiki, that's a literal lie. You never liked any of the scary stories you, Juliana, and I had with the others back at Blueberry Academy one time. Then you stayed mad at Drayton for it for 3 days because he laughed at you because he was the one who scared the heck out of you with that Bloodmoon Ursaluna costume."
By that logic, Kieran tried denying that, but all he could do was grunt and grumble because what his sister said was true. "We don't talk about that incident."
Juliana reacted at an annoyed Kieran by giggling. That caught Kieran's attention and made him smile. But then he started getting mischievous about his spooky story. "Back on the topic at hand, speaking of the full moon, anyone heard of Dark Lunala?"
Juliana shook up fearfully, not expecting Kieran to bring up a Pokémon like that. "That Pokémon sounds really spooky."
Other than Juliana starting to get scared about the mysterious Pokémon, Carmine wasn't trembling but just looked at Kieran with the are you kidding me stare. "Kiki, seriously?! There is no such thing as a Dark Lunala. There's no urban legends or myths about it."
He didn't care though and rubbed his hands together maniacally. "Oh contraire, sis. I know it isn't those things. Because this story happened last night ago..." And the he jumps up and tries to jumpscare the girls. "AND IT'S ALL TRUE!" Juliana screamed in terror. Carmine was getting agitated while feeling bad for Juliana and felt like she wanted to punch Kieran in his face.
Terapagos and Orgepon looked like they were entertained and enjoyed this spooky story and gathered, sitting between Juliana and Carmine.
"It all started with two couple who where Alola scientists." Kieran continued, starting his scary campfire story. "They found a species of Lunala and Necrozma. They decided hey, let's fuse them differently as an experiments and find the results! And so they did. But that was a stupid decision, because they never knew what would happen next..."
This was boring the Arceus out of Carmine but Juliana was just terrified all the way. "OH NO, KIERAN! What happened next?!", Juliana yelled, freaking out.
His Paldean friend is caught in fear convincingly, but his sister isn't buying it. "Yeah, what happens next? I hope those two Alolan scientist couple just kiss and go home.", Carmine says in a sarcastic voice. She can tell Kieran is faking this just to make Juliana fear stuff like this.
Kieran gave Carmine a souless stare for a second, giving her an honest answer. "Nope. It's actually violent. And what happens next will shock you."
Juliana is just sitting on the log, clattering like a cartoon character right now listening to this.
"So after the fusion... KABOOM!", Kieran claimed.
"NO!", Juliana squeaked in dread.
"Yes.", said Kieran. "The differentiation of the fusion works. Lunala had Necrozma's coloring of black and gray, with ominous gray eyes and white pupils. It intimidated those scientists and they grabbed hold of eacother for dear life, looking fearfully at the terrifying beast! And do you want to know what happens next?"
"Pon-Pon..." Orgepon was dazzled by Kieran's story telling so far.
"Tera!" Terapagos yawned feeling tired and relaxed but at least tries to enjoy the story before it ends before trailing off to sleep.
Carmine rolled her eyes. "Hear we go."
Juliana was concerned and curious. "What?! What did it do to them?!"
Kieran looked devious to end it all with a horrific ending. "You really want to know?"
"YES! WHAT DOES HE DO?!", Juliana screamed in question.
"It exterminated them. WITH A MOONGEIST BEAM!"
Juliana screamed at the top of her lungs. That shriek hurt Carmine's ears so she covered them.
"HAHAHHAHAHA!!! You should see the look on Juliana's face!", he teased.
"Kieran, it's not funny! I'm scared!", she quivered.
Carmine comforted Juliana and looked angrily at Kieran. "How could you scare her like this?! You got some nerve!" She then looked at Juliana and rubbed her back gently. "It's okay, Julie. It's not real. Kiki is just being a jerk."
"Pfft! She'll be fine.", Kieran protested. "Just don't think about full moons for a while until morning." He then yawned before saying, "Goodnight ladies. I'm gonna hit the hay", and going into his tent to sleep.
Terapagos and Orgepon hatched a plan to scare her own Trainer and whispered what they were planning to do. Juliana and Carmine whoever weren't even paying attention to that.
"Why don't you sleep with me in my tent tonight? You'll feel safe.", Carmine insisted.
"Yeah, I guess I could use a bodyguard right now.", Juliana decided before laughing hysterically.
Moments later, everyone was asleep, when suddenly at midnight, a loud noise sounded off from outside the woods. Juliana and Carmine woke up, being alert of what it might be. "Carmine? What was that?", Juliana asked concerningly.
"I'm not sure. Could be Kieran trying to pull a stupid prank.", Carmine assumed.
But when they walked outside of the tent, Kieran got out of his tent too. Carmine and Juliana were surprised because they thought it was Kieran doing all of this.
"Wait! Hold on...! Kiki?! You're not the one who made all of that racket?!", Carmine wondered.
Kieran rubbed his eyes, trying to wake himself up after finding out about the noise hinself. "That wasn't me sis. I heard it too..."
Juliana started looking around for Orgepon and Terapagos, but no sign of them. "Orgepon! Terapagos! Where are you two?!" Then her eyes widened. "Oh no. You don't think that Dark Lunala..."
Carmine and Kieran started to panic a bit if that was true.
"SSCCRREEE!!!"
Then the noisy shrill grew louder and louder. Then Carmine, Kieran, and Juliana jumped and jittered. The three were getting really scared. Especially Juliana, who learned from Kieran's spooky tale already.
"It's getting closer...!", Carmine yelled.
"Guys, look!", Kieran shouted and pointed.
What Kieran pointed at, was a terrifying shadow shaped like a Lunala slowly levitating towards them. It made the shrill noise again.
"sssccccCccrreeee! SCREE!"
The three teenagers screamed, staring at the reveal Dark Lunala's presence.
"It's the Dark Lunala!!! My story was real!!!", Kieran screamed.
Then they all hugged each other, looking terrified of the Dark Lunala just like those romantic scientists in Kieran's made up story.
"If this is the end, Juliana, I accidentally stole the last of your apple curry leftovers!", Carmine said.
"Well, is this is the end, Kieran, I accidentally read your Orgepon Fanfiction!", Juliana told Kieran.
"Well that's fine! But if this is the end, sis, I stole your plush toy that you loved so much in case I have nightmares!", Kieran admitted.
"YOU WHAT?!", Carmine yelled.
As they thought their last moments together was imminent, the Dark Lunala figure collapsed. It was just a bunch of leaves, twigs, and Terstal crystals laying on the ground now. Orgepon and Terapagos were sitting in the middle of that stuff just laughing and giggling.
Juliana started getting the memo of what's going on now. "So... there was no such thing as Dark Lunala?"
Kieran nodded his head with a nervous smile.
"So you made all that up?"
Kieran nodded his head again.
"In that case..." Juliana then man handles Kieran aggressively. "DON'T YOU EVER SCARE THE ARCEUS OUT OF ME LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN!"
"Okay, buddy! I sowwy!", Kieran apologized while whining.
Carmine laughed, enjoying her brother suffer.
Then Juliana got upset at Orgepon and Terapagos, her own Pokémon. "And ask for you two! What was the meeting of that?!"
Orgepon got scared, knowing she was in trouble. Terapagos just walked up to her and explained why he and Orgepon did what they did.
"Tera. Terapa. Ter. Terapago. Tera. Ter. Tera. Terapagos. Tera Ter Ter." In translation, him and Orgepon realized that it was becoming April Fools Day, so they had to make an April Fools prank to scare Juliana and the Kitikami siblings. They did this all for fun.
"Oh... Yeah. April Fools. Forgot it's becoming that time of month again.",Juliana understood. She took a calm breather and crouched down to group hug Terapagos and Orgepon. "Okay, you two listen. For now on, ask me to do April Fools stuff like this with you on my permission. Because I'm a sucker for pranks too", she said before she smiled gleefully.
Carmine sheds tears of joy and wipes them away. Kieran smiled and chuckled while seeing Juliana and her Pokémon hugging each other.
Carmine then looks down at Kieran aggressively and clenches her fists, shaking them rapidly. "Since Juliana gave you a taste of your own medicine I should give you one too!"
This made Kieran feel intimidated. "What did I do?!"
"If your little nasty sap of a sad sack story didn't convince those cute little pet beans of Juliana's to have us fooled like that, none of this would be happening in the first place.", Carmine seethed.
Just to mess with her and get her riled up, Kieran gives Carmine an April Fools joke. "Well wowzers. Ya know, there's a handsome boy standing behind you right now. And I'm telling ya, he wants to make out with you."
This distracted Carmine as she has a love for dreamy guys. "Oh my Arceus! Really?!", she says as she blushed and gushed. She then truned around hotly and passionately. "Oh hello baby-!" But no one was there which made Carmine freeze up.
Kieran cracked up laughing his socks off. "April Fools, sis! Made you look! THAT'S for making Juliana lie to me about The Ogre- I mean Orgepon."
Carmine slowly turned around sarcastically smiling at Kieran, when in reality, she wants to strangle her brother. "You know, I'm thinking I should smite someone today. Today's your lucky day Kiki!!! OR SHOULD I SAY LUCKY NIGHT!"
Kieran panicked and ran. "NO!", he yelled. Carmine chased him around in circles. "I outta kill you!"
Juliana, Orgepon, and Terapagos giggled.
"That's the siblings for ya.", said Juliana.
Hideko and Yukito arrived to find out what is going on.
"What's all this commotion? We hear so much noise out here. We came by to check on you three to see if you were a sleep.", said Yukito.
Juliana was twirling her braid while explaining the situation. "Well... it's funny story really. You see..." But before she could answer, she looked at Orgepon and Terapagos who smiled softly at her. Terapagos nodded his head firmly.
"Let's just say, we've all been April Fooled.", Juliana said to Yukito and Hideko.
Hideko chuckled. "The most bothering yet fun and hilarious holiday in the worlds tradition. April Fools. That's nice dear."
Yukito lowered his head and sighed. He noticed Carmine trying to playfully attack Kieran again. "I see you all had a great time."
"Yeah", said Juliana. She looked back up the full moon. It still sits there on a warm April Fools after midnight, and when it becomes morning, who knows how much April Fools fun will be had. It's time to enjoy before it lasts next midnight.
"We all had a great time." Juliana smirked, taking one good moment of a look at the beautiful sky.
