What Makes A Ninja?

The Essentials Part 1

An 8 year Naruto can be seen sneaking around Konoha during the 10th of October. Naruto has been trying to celebrate his birthday alone he has celebrated with a few people in the forms of Tsume Inuzuka who has been very kind to him over the years, along with the Anbu Neko and her squad with the exception of Inu who seems more hostile than normal, Choza Akimichi and his son Choji, Shikaku Nara and his son and lastly Shibi Auburame and his son Shino.

Some watchers would wonder why he isn't at his own party with his friends. Well that's because he had been deceived by a mailing ninja about a letter from his mother and father to draw him away from his party Naruto had a mob of villagers waiting to beat him to death.

Thankfully Naruto had found an exit thanks to an old woman who was very kind to him.

Naruto sneaking around the back alleys he senses the mob on the prowl. But unlike normal children who would make a mistake like many others by knocking something over or stepping on a glass bottle when they try to sneak around he didn't oddly enough Naruto with seeming instincts of a panther moves with grace and fluidity towards the location of his birthday party. As he is doing so a reclusive man in the shadows can be seen sitting on a tall building watching the scene with interest the man wore a hood to hide his features before he could continue watching he sees a villager spotting the blonde Uzumaki.

The man on the roof acting quickly moves with the speed of the wind itself. Before the villager could call out to the others when he found his neck broken by the recluse in question as he disappeared with the body, throwing said body into the sewer system for the rats.

'One so young with great potential perhaps I should teach him secrets lost to time to him. For he may become someone of extraordinary power and symbolism.' thought the recluse as he disappeared.

Naruto for his part arrives at the party to see his precious people, people like Tsume Inuzuka with her daughter Hana Inuzuka, Ayame and Teuchi Ichiraku, The famous Ino-Shika-Cho trio and their children, Hiashi Hyuga and his daughter Hinata Hyuga who has glasses indicative of a blind person. Naruto had meet Hinata at the hospital 3 years ago after recovering from his injuries.

Flashback three years ago.

Naruto can be seen physically recuperating from his attack in the hospital. As he is doing so he accidentally bumps into a girl with indigo hair whose eyes are covered by bandages.

"Oh Sorry I didn't mean to bump into you." said Naruto in a raspy voice as he helps the girl up.

"Thank you" said the indigo haired girl as Naruto hands the girl her walking stick.

Naruto and the girl played together for a while. Naruto discovered that the girl is Hinata Hyuga of the Hyuga clan. She had explained that she is her because of a Kumo ninja trying to kidnap her and in the process cause her to lose her eyesight.

Naruto feels sympathy for Hinata losing her sight at her age seeing this humbles him at this incident. As they continue playing together Hinata's father Hiashi comes to visit her with what originally was a sad expression until he say Naruto he has an expression of hope as he sees Hinata and Naruto playing together.

Walking over he says to the two. "Hello my darling angel, how are you today and who is your friend?" asked Hiashi as he smiles at the two in question.

Hinata introduced Naruto to her father Hiashi. Naruto bows in greeting to the clan head as Hiashi smiles at the politeness at the blonde haired boy in question. Hiashi thinks. 'Naruto your father's judgement may have condemned you but your person is something of perseverance and truly understanding heart for kindness. I hope this village doesn't destroy and twist it. Into something void of such things.' thought Hiashi as he watched the two play.

Tsume Inuzuka walks up to them Tsume happy for Hinata having a playmate in the blonde watches the play time with the two.

Tsume and Hiashi talk with each other over what happened between the two while the two played. Tsume being very disgusted with the Hyuga's elders for removing Hinata as clan heir. She was thankful of them at least not branding their infamous curse seal on her.

"Well Hiashi I feel that the gaki has a great potential in being a shinobi of this village. What do you think of this." said Tsume as her ningen had sensed a great power from the blonde as Hiashi says "Well I do see an air of greatness from him something I can't explain but something that with time will foster itself in his training." as Tsume nods in agreement at the Hyuga clan head as the two watch the kids play together.

Flashback end

Tsume and Hiashi see that Naruto is alright as when they each were looking out for the blonde they had heard mobs searching for him during the festival they had become worried when the Ino-Shika-Cho members showed up to see their worried expressions. They had set their children to the side when they came and allowed them to be watched by Ichiraku and Ayame they were about to go out to find the young blonde but Naruto had found his way back without a scratch on him.

'Perhaps he has a great destiny. One I have a feeling the fates don't even know' thought Hiashi as they celebrate the blonde's birthday. Thankful of any luck deity unknowing that Naruto was helped by something else of divine nature.

Unknowing to them Naruto's whiskers become more bolden at a slightly slow rate as the party goes on.

In a cave near the mountains of the village

The man who had saved the blonde uzumaki appears to be a man with traits similar to the first Hokage Hashirama Senju only with white flowing hair and a stature akin to a god or a demigod in nature as he looks over the village as he thinks to himself about one Uzumaki Naruto in question .

'I sense a great power within you boy a power for greatness that will see you through this Shinobi world. Something that will allow you to rise from your shackles with determination and willpower to do many great things.' as he looks at Naruto through an all seeing orb. Watching the blonde and seeing the boy have a great birthday party as the man looks at him with happiness.

Inside The Moon

Kaguya Otsutsuki mother of both Chakra and the Sage of Six Paths can be seen floating inside of her dimensional prison in a comatose-like state peacefully. However all doesn't seem peaceful in her psyche.

As inside of her mind a war can be seen raged with her now weakened caring side as light Kaguya begins to be surrounded by the projections of the evil corrupted dark Kaguya. Before the Devil side could do anything to her caring side.

Light Kaguya does something unexpected: she rushes past her devil half and proceeds to cause the mindscape to slip and on the outside her physical body starts to divide, separating the adult form of Kaguya with a new being made from her consciousness comes to life from the energies of the dimensional void. Something that isn't Kaguya but something new in the form of a girl around 7 years of age. The creation of this new being causes a rift to open in the dimension that allows this young Otsutsuki girl to escape leaving Kaguya to be taken over.

Arriving in a village near the Leaf village this new being can be seen sneaking around the village getting new clothing her size as she breaks into the village's library. She proceeds to learn everything about the area that she is in. Using a jutsu of sorts she copies herself to read the world history and Shinobi history sections of the library. After finishing she dispels the clones and leaves out of the open window she came into. Going towards the direction of Konoha she begins to think. 'Naruto Uzumaki you maybe the only person that can change this Shinobi world for the best.'thought the girl as she goes towards Konoha.

At Mountain Myoboku

The Elder Sage is seemingly having trouble as he can't seem to see anything pertaining to the Child of Prophecy.

As this is happening a storm of sorts hovers ahead as rain and lightning can be seen pouring down on the mountain as many of the toads run inside away from the storm.

Unknowing for them this is a sign of foretelling change.

With Naruto

Naruto after his birthday can be seen walking towards the Library to study up for his first day at the academy as he is walking however he gets a sense of danger as his senses around the corner for movement as he senses 7 men each holding improvised weapons. Naruto looking around to avoid the ambush sees an improvised path on the rooftops in the form of building cracks. While he isn't a Shinobi he senses that he doesn't need to be as he moves up the cracks on the building. Making it to the top, Naruto sees that the men are getting anxious to try to kill him. Naruto decides to pull a trick on them by throwing a rock at a nearby trash can, knocking it over as the men rushes out of the ambush thinking that he sniffed out the ambush. As they move around towards the other side while Naruto slips around them.

The mob was about to attack a boy looking like Naruto until a man with robes indicative of a noble steps out to stop them from almost killing his relative. This noble seem like an important figure so they backed off and went to find Naruto.

Naruto enters the library and in the 6 seconds that he enters he is thrown out by the bigoted Librarian. Naruto sees an obstacle in this librarian as he makes a plan to get into the library

Naruto lies and wait inside of an alley near the library. The blonde waited for the librarian to go on break to make his move. Seeing as the Librarian wouldn't let him back in decides to take key books he will need from books like Shinobi Equipment and Tools, Weapons of a Shinobi, Shinobi Battle Tactics and Strategem, Shinobi Principles and Philosophy, Shinobi Basic Taijutsu and Weapons. As he is about to leave he sees a rather old book that seems to be well kept. The title read Encyclopedia of Martial Arts of the World.

Naruto for his part seeing this may come in handy for his Taijutsu training takes it and leaves out towards his hiding spot in the village as he is running he accidentally runs into a girl who's features were god like as she appears to have pale white skin and sweeping white hair lavender eyes like that of the Hyuga clan wearing an elegant Kimono. Naruto gets up and helps her up. "Sorry Tenchi chan I didn't mean to knock you over." said Naruto as he dusts her off and rushes towards his hiding hole.

'So that was Naruto Uzumaki, he seems different as if he has the makings of something very fierce and cunning.' thought the girl as she goes towards the Hokage tower. Getting looks of awe from the villagers as they see something heavenly from the girl in question. While also for some reason blushing at how Naruto smelled to her.

Naruto begins his reading in Shinobi Principles and Philosophy

The first passage Naruto read pertained to deception as being the key for all warfare as much as brute force is to fighting. Naruto for his part had remembered how he used misdirection and trickery to get around the mob of villagers earlier that had tried to kill him in an ambush.

The second passage told of the purpose of information gathering and how it relates to infiltration, and reconnaissance how to learn and prepare for the enemy's strength and weaknesses. A sentiment he found most important for a ninja as he sees how a ninja will need to know how to take on impossible odds and nullify the strength of any foe.

The third passage tells of the importance of evasion tactics and misdirection. On how to prevent capture and to how keep the opposition off-balance. Something that makes Naruto laugh as he remembers how he tricked an ambush of into going into the wrong direction and into nearly attacking a boy looking almost like him.

Naruto keeps reading as the night begins to come.

Inside of The Hokage Tower.

Hiruzen was trying to calm down Nobleman Toshinji Yamasaki who was angry with how the villagers nearly killed his nephew. Hiruzen has to reassure Toshinji that they he will start cracking down on mob attacks.

The nobleman had left to make sure his nephew was okay. Hiruzen for his part is thinking

'I better get these mob attacks under control or I might get in trouble with the Daimyo. Weapon or not I need to be careful of these attacks' thought Hiruzen as he goes to finish his paperwork.

As he lets the last person, a young girl whose appearance makes her look like a goddess as she walks in with a step of calm purpose.

In the Mountains

The Reclusive man, unknown to many, looks at Naruto who is reading up on Shinobi study. Seeing how diligently he absorbs the knowledge from Shinobi Principle and Philosophy book as he sees him think and absorb the information as he reads over each passage and chapter in the book.

'I have a feeling that this boy will become something of great importance that will see this world and it's Shinobi system change.' though the man asks Naruto to read up on Shinobi Basic Taijutsu and Weapon.

'Let see if the Fox can learn how to fight like a lion' thought the man as Naruto begins to read.
