Chapter 1: Surprise!
Ilex Forest, Johto Region 3:33pm
Bugsy traverses through Ilex Forest before he finds a particularly open spot. Plenty of room. Had an opening in the canopy of the forest that would leave sun or moonlight shining down. "This is perfect!" He announced before he set his stuff down. He looks around before using his Pokegear to make a call. It was answered relatively quickly. "Hello?" He said. "Bugsy?" Sabrina replied. "I just made it to Ilex right now. Do you know where you are?" She asks. Bugsy agreed. "I'm in an open spot of the forest. There's some tables under a roof nearby to boot. A small stream as well. You can't really miss it!" Bugsy said.
Sabrina kept wandering the forest. She walked down the same path she and Bugsy did on their first date last month. It was the most familiar path to her. She'll have to do some exploration on her own. "I think I can find you on my own…" She said as she entered unknown territory. "I hear a stream. I should find you soon enough." She gets closer to the sound of the stream. Her footwear crunches and rustles the tall grass and twigs beneath her. She soon finds tables under a roof, and Bugsy was setting up camp in an open spot nearby. He didn't notice her yet. Sabrina decides to have a little fun, levitating to approach him.
Bugsy kept speaking into his Pokegear. "Sabrina? You see me? Hello?" He questioned. The call ends, confusing him even more. He goes back to setting up the tent. Once the tent is set up, he goes to grab some firewood from the pack of supplies, only to get blocked by an invisible wall. "Oof! What the…" He awkwardly goes around it. Or, he would if there wasn't another invisible wall. "Who…" He goes around the other way, confused a bit. What the heck was that about? When he reaches the pack, he finds the firewood wasn't there! "Huh? Okay, I'm not going crazy, am I?" He said as he looked around. "Wait a sec…" He had a moment of realization but it was interrupted by a laugh. "Miiiiime!" It was a Mr. Mime. That explains the invisible walls and odd disappearance of his firewood. "Hey! Give that back, would you?" Bugsy said. Mr. Mime drops the wood per his request. It was all in good fun. Just like the surprise that awaits behind him. "BG." Bugsy jumped a bit at a female voice and turned around. "Whah!" He yelps a little but calms down quickly. "Oh very funny, 'Brin- Whoa."
He stopped himself when he noticed Sabrina's attire. Her hair was shorter and a greyish blue color. She wore the same bracelets as their first date but her overall attire was different. More revealing even. A pink spaghetti strap crop top, white jeans, black belt, and pink flats. What can she say? She's a woman with quite the sense of fashion. Bugsy felt himself blushing. "Sabrina! You look uh… heh heh." He was a bit at a loss for words. Sabrina looks at him a little concerned. "I'm sorry. Is this not proper attire for camping?" She questions. Bugsy calms down. "Oh you're just fine! I just… wow. You look… beautiful." He said with a smile. "Thank you. I don't wear this attire unless on more casual days. But I figured I'd surprise you since it's your birthday." She said, "I'm glad you like it."
