Otogi groaned as she was buried by paperwork on her desk in the SRT main campus' office. "This isn't what I had in mind when the GSC allowed SRT to continue its operations…"

"Oh grow up! Here, I'll help you," Kurumi replied as she took a pile of documents from Otogi's desk. "It's not like we haven't done this before, but without the President we need to deal with a lot more paperwork."

"You're a lifesaver, Kurumi!" Otogi beamed as she passed a few more piles to her teammate, who frowned but gave up as she started working on them. "It makes you wonder how the President was able to manage all this on top of her other responsibilities…"

"There's a reason why some call her a 'Superhuman'," Niko said with a giggle as she entered the office while carrying a tray of Inarizushi and other dishes. "Also, you two should take a break. You've been at it for quite some time now."

"Finally!"

After the GSC meeting that decided SRT's fate, things have slowly returned to normal for the academy. While the many SRT squads have kept up with their training in the interim, they have now been permitted to conduct missions, though most of them were joint missions to assist Valkyrie in arresting criminals.

While the school itself still retained its extrajudicial authority thanks to SCHALE's backing, exercising it was something that Yukino, who was now the Acting Head of SRT, was cautious at using.

Perhaps she was still getting used to her new position, or perhaps she didn't want to disappoint the adult who trusted her to do the right thing. Perhaps it might even be both. In any case, SRT was in the middle of transitioning from the GSC President's management to FOX Squad's management.

"Still, to go all the way to Trinity just to make a report…Couldn't Yukino just do the report over the phone?" Otogi wondered. "Ah, maybe Yukino just wants to eat Sensei's cooking! How unfair!"

"You know she's going to bring food to share with us, idiot. "Besides, it's not any different to her going to SCHALE or even the GSC back when the President was around to make her weekly reports," Kurumi replied as she looked at Otogi and snorted. "Although maybe…"

"Hey! Don't look at me like you know something that I don't!" Otogi complained as Kurumi kept smirking.

Niko herself merely giggled as she listened to her teammates as she turned her thoughts to Sensei. "Still, for Shirou-sensei to be unable to leave Trinity for a while…I guess we'll have to step up and cover for him just in case something comes up."

"Oh yeah, we still have the Seven Prisoners to deal with too…"Kurumi sighed. "Though it's concerning that the Fox of Calamity has been spotted following Sensei around in secret, at least she's not causing chaos at the moment so we can turn our attention to the others. That, and Sensei does know about her presence and can handle her himself if she does run amok."

Niko thought about the other members of the Seven Prisoners. Most of them were laying low at the moment, with only confirmed sightings of the Legendary Thug and the Phantom Thief of Affection. The former's physique stood out too much while the latter quickly resumed her activities the moment she got out of the correctional facility.

"Ugh…we really need to find out more about this 'Smiling Professor'..."Kurumi grumbled as she scratched her head. "She somehow keeps evading the different squads we send out to investigate her whereabouts."

"Speaking of our juniors, Miyako and the rest of her team are due to come back soon, right?" Otogi said. "They were gone for quite some time."

"Well, that's how reconnaissance missions usually go," Kurumi replied. "We did give them two objectives and while they quickly accomplished the first one, it's the second one that took a while…"

"That one was more of a bonus objective really," Otogi replied. "Even Takanashi Hoshino failed to find the Valley of the Student Council after all."

At the same time, on Trinity's campus…

"You didn't have to come all the way here for your weekly report, Yukino," Sensei said as he listened to Yukino's report while reading the document she handed him in his temporary office. "Still, I'm glad that Miyako and the rest of RABBIT Squad are successful on their mission."

Yume and the members of the Make-Up Work Club were currently busy cleaning the pool. Shirou himself was helping them until he received a Momotalk message from Yukino to notify him of her arrival on Trinity.

He quickly went to meet Yukino while warning her about the traps that Azusa planted. He met her while the latter was disabling the tenth trap she found along the way. Afterwards he brought her to his office using a path that wasn't armed to the teeth, which led to the present situation.

"As I've told you in the past, it wouldn't feel right if I don't hand in the report personally," Yukino said with a small smile. "Besides, I'm doing this out of my own volition."

"Well, I guess that's fine then," Sensei replied before a thought crossed his mind. "Since you're already here, do you know anything about the Eden Treaty?"

"There are a few files in SRT's database regarding the Treaty. I can give you the general overview," Yukino quickly replied as she gave him a brief overview on how the Eden Treaty would serve as the foundation for the formation of the Eden Treaty Organization, composed of members from both Gehenna and Trinity which would intervene and resolve all conflicts between the two schools.

"Is this why you're currently staying in Trinity?" Yukino inquired.

"I was asked to be the adviser of the Make-Up Work Club," Sensei said. "Though I have a gut feeling that there's more to the request, but I can't quite put a finger on it."

"Perhaps Kirifuji Nagisa wanted to assess your capabilities by giving you a relatively simple request? The President did something similar after FOX Squad was first formed."

"Maybe. I have a few theories myself but at this point in time it's all speculation."

"I'll be sure to send you the files related to the Eden Treaty later," Yukino said.

"Thanks, that would be helpful." Sensei smiled as he stood up. "Now then, how about you join us for lunch? You can also bring some food for your squadmates."

"Yes, that would be lovely," Yukino said with a smile.

Shortly after that, Yukino and Sensei met up with the Make-Up Work Club and Yume in the dining room, where the leader of the FOX Squad and now-President of SRT introduced herself. Each member of the Make-Up Work Club also introduced themselves to Yukino while Yume greeted her with "It's been a while!"

"S-So um…What kind of training do SRT students undergo?" Koharu asked Yukino as the two of them, along with Yume, took their seats on the dining table while Sensei left for the kitchen with Hanako and Hifumi. Azusa was currently sitting next to the gun rack while doing maintenance on her gun.

"Aside from the core subjects, our curriculum is mostly focused on field training," Yukino explained as she looked at the girl who was fretting over her uniform. "You said you were from the Justice Task Force, correct?"

"Y-Yeah!...Although until I pass the evaluation exam I'm stuck here…" Koharu didn't quite have her usual bravado.

"Koharu here took classes that were way too advanced for her and failed!" Yume joined the conversation.

"So you failed because of overconfidence. That reminds me of one of my juniors who's good in a classroom setting but is still lacking in fieldwork," Yukino said before she added, "I'll have to see you in action first before I can give you any tips, but what I can tell you is to focus on your strengths while working on your weaknesses. Oh, and ask Sensei for tips to improve your sniping."

"S-Sensei said something similar…Eh? Sensei is also a sniper?"

"He hasn't told them yet?" Yukino looked at Yume in confusion.

"Sensei is currently focusing on improving their academic performance so there wasn't a chance to bring it up yet," Yume replied with a giggle.

"Sensei mentioned it once while helping me set up my traps, though he didn't go into details," Azusa added before she returned to inspecting her gun.

So she's the reason why Sensei warned me about the traps in the building… Yukino thought as she recalled Sensei's reply to her on Momotalk shortly before they met up. I must admit that the traps were placed efficiently.

"I see." Yukino nodded in acknowledgement as she turned her attention back to Koharu. "Sensei is proficient with various types of weaponry. Whether it be sword, bow, or guns, he is incredibly skilled with them."

"Yeah, though you won't hear him bragging about it!" Yume commented with a smile. "In fact, he'd even say that he's only average at best!"

"I disagree with his assessment," Azusa said as she lowered her gun. "The way he carries himself is that of a seasoned professional."

"You know I can hear you all, right?" Shirou's voice came from the kitchen.

"Awww~ But they were just about to get to the best part!" Hanako replied. "I personally wanted to know what mischief Sensei did when he was our age!"

"K-Knowing Sensei, he's probably busy helping others instead," Hifumi said. "Oh, and Hanako, can you hand me the vegetables?"

"Here you go~!"

Small talks like that continued even after they started eating. With that said, the topic shifted to Sensei's culinary skills, which was something that Shirou was much more willing to talk about.

"Sensei, wasn't it hard being the only person in the household capable of cooking?" Yukino asked.

"At first. Though as I got better at it, it became a natural part of my daily routine," Sensei said as he laughed. "Considering what I know of the old man now, it really is surprising that he never learned to cook himself. You'd think he would have picked it up along the way."

"What kind of person was your father, Sensei?" Hifumi asked.

"From the time I knew him, he usually spent his time lazing about like an old man when he's at home. Though he's usually away on 'business trips' so Fuji-nee kept me company."

"Sounds like a busy man."

Sensei fell silent for a while, as if reminiscing. Eventually he said, "It's a bit more complicated than that."

Koharu found that long pause suspicious. "Y-Your dad isn't just using his business trips as an excuse to see a girl, is he?!"

Hifumi made an awkward laugh at Koharu's words.

"Oh?" Sensei on the other hand made a rather amused smile. "You're quite the sharp one, aren't you Koharu? Yes, my old man was trying to see a girl…His daughter."

"Death Penal…Huh?" Koharu's emotions went from almost exploding in embarrassment to one of confusion and finally to an apologetic one. "I…I'm sorry, I didn't…"

"It's fine," Sensei said with a smile. "It's an old story by this point."

"Your father was trying to gain custody of his daughter…" Hanako muttered. "What's her name?"

"Illyasviel von Einzbern. Kiritsugu—the old man's blood-related daughter…and my adopted sister. He never really talked about her nor did he keep any picture of her at home so I didn't know who she was, how she looked, or the fact that she even existed until later on. Didn't really have a chance to get to know her in my life, but that is a whole other story."

Most students present were willing to leave it at that, but Yukino seemed to want to inquire a bit more.

"Adopted…" Yukino muttered. "Sensei, did you—"

Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

"My apologies. That was my phone," Yukino said as she took the call. "Yukino speaking. …Yes, understood."

"Is something wrong, Yukino?" Sensei asked.

"It seems that I will have to depart soon," Yukino explained after she ended the call. "Chief Rin wanted to speak to us about a certain matter."

"I see. Then I'll prepare some extra food so you can share some with her as well."

"Much appreciated, Sensei," Yukino said with a smile. "Would you like me to see you on the way out?"

"No, it's—"

"I'll do it, Sensei~!" Hanako raised her hand. "It's not everyday you meet the famous leader of the FOX Squad! I'd like to talk a bit more with her if you don't mind~ I'm sure she's been to many places in Kivotos!"

"I don't think I would be an interesting conversation partner, but I don't really mind sharing some non-classified information," Yukino said with a smile.

"Oh please, it's nothing like that," Hanako said with a giggle. "So, have you had a mission that made you wear a swimsuit?"

"Yes…Wait, what?"

Hanako and Yukino started talking on the side while waiting for Sensei, with Koharu's shoulders trembling as Hanako tried teasing the older girl, who was either confused or embarrassed by what Hanako was saying.

Author's Note:

After being gone for quite some time, I finally get around to addressing what SRT has been up to!

As usual, I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
