Warning: mentions of SA, violence/death and incest
In the church, Charolette was praying before she makes breakfast. One of the other nuns, Oki, a girl with albinism taps on her shoulder.
"Sister Chari. We have a problem." Oki says with urgency in her tone. Charolette looks at Oki and sighs. She responds to the urgency with a "What's wrong?" Charolette is usually the one to be worried or paranoid sometimes...and it is not unreasonable.
In the bedroom, there was a girl, no older than 14. The girl looked, her hair was very messy. "Oh dear, what happened to her?" Charolette asked, looking at how rough the girl looks.
"Some other nuns said she was injured from running away from her stepfather who is very attached to her," Oki replied. "It is also known that she didn't bathe because of the stepfather trying to get in with her."
Charolette was worried, she helped the girl up. The girl smiled knowingly that she is safe with people that don't have malicious intent.
In the afternoon, the girl who was looking rough is now looking better with white dress and her hair in an afro. She was picking dandelions from the ground while the nuns are having their meeting outside with the main two looking after her.
One nun with a missing eye which is replaced by a big pearl named Ripa sighed, speaking with anger, "This is just ridiculous. No one deserves to have children if they act like this." She sighed in anger as another nun, Tillie said something as well, "I have no idea how bad this was. A girl with a very clingy father. What a horrible situation."
Ripa sat back a little, rubbing her scarred face. "Indeed, Sister Till," Ripa agreed. "I don't know how a father can even be this disgusting to his child."
After a bit, the girl went back inside, seeing all of the nuns speaking about the situation.
"Um, excuse me?" the girl said, and Ripa was the only one to react to the girl's voice.
Ripa's face softened, "Hey, come over here. We were talking about your horrible father."
Ripa said. The girl walked over to the table and sat down on the chair.
"Sister Oki said you look rough before you took a bath." Ripa said softly. "I..I don't even blame you. We don't blame people for looking rough."
The girl nods, looking at Toa, a nun with a wooden prosthetic leg who said, "We are planning to punish him by execution in the morning. Please share your story, fellow friend"
The girl was nervous before sighing and nodding. "Well, whenever my stepfather asked me to do something for him, he often stared me at like a piece of meat when doing the chore," the girl said. "It was horrible, he often said some very disturbing things and often hit me if I don't do anything he says"
The nuns were shocked and disgusted. Ripa was worried and angry. "That is terrible, that is a man who is a disgrace to society. I say he gets hanged tomorrow!" Ripa shouted as the nuns were agreeing.
Charolette was the one to bring a contract for the girl. "Please sign your name and the fate is sealed," Charolette said. The girl gets the feather dipped in a very pretty purple and signed the contract. It was sealed, the man was going to execute.
The next day, the man who gave the girl hell was finally executed in front of every single people of the village by Oki. The lifeless body of the abusive man was a reminder of the law, a very strict law.
The girl who is referred as Elly, was now with people with no malice intent, no one to hurt her, a family that is very caring...
