Hills of Mobius, Sunset

"Amy, it's not you, I promise, it's me. I've had some things come up that I can't quite explain at this moment but I promise you I will the moment I can, but I can't be with you while I'm going through this. I'm so sorry." Sonic told her, actually holding back tears himself. He kissed Amy's cheek before running off into the sunset, leaving behind a confused and heartbroken Amy, who fell to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably.

Sonic's POV

Don't make me feel any worse than I already do. I just broke my now ex-girlfriend's heart and left her in the country crying her eyes out. It's not that I don't love Amy because I do with all my heart, but I realized something over the course of time that we were together, and that's that I'm gay. To be completely honest, I've known for a while, I just pushed it to the back of my brain and ignored it, but I can't ignore it any longer. I just wish I was brave enough to tell Amy, but I can't bring myself to do it at this moment. After a few minutes of running, I stop by a nearby tree and just stand there, trying now to just break down. I hate this feeling so much, it makes me angry.

"FUCK!" I yell, punching the tree as hard as a could before falling to my knees, tears quickly flowing from my eyes as I just let it out. I didn't want it to go like that, but I need to truly accept who I am. I'm into guys, and that's just the truth. I need someone to talk to, but I don't know who to talk to about this, I don't know a single gay person. But I do know one person who will hear me out. I wipe the tears off my face, get up, and take off running.

Silver's POV

"And with that, you're all set. Congratulations, sir."

"Thank you very much." I say.

"Say, you look similar to Sonic the Hedgehog. Amy chance you know him?"

"Yeah, he's a friend of mine."

"Well please thank him for saving the world."

"Will do." I say as I collect my keys and walk out of the office.

If you're wondering what exactly I'm doing, I just got myself an apartment in this time. I keep having to make multiple trips to this point in time, I might as well crash here for a bit. Plus, it means that I can see friends more. Now I just need to get a few things for my new place and I don't really know where to start, heh heh. Maybe I should have thought of that ahead of time, I might not have a bed to sleep on tonight.

Tails' Workshop, Mystic Ruins

Sonic's POV

Tails. I know he'll listen to me. I can always count on my best buddy. I walk in to see Tails sitting on the couch, talking to Knuckles who had came down for a visit. That made things a little tougher for me.

"Hey, Sonic, I was wondering if you were gonna stop by. It's almost dark." Tails greeted.

"Yeah, I lost track of time. Hey, guys, I need to tell you both something." I say, cutting straight to the point.

"Everything alright, Sonic?" Knuckles asked, a new look of concern on his face.

"Yeah, there's just something I need to get off my chest and since you two are my best friends, I wanted to tell you two first."

"What is it?" Tails asked.

I then took a deep breath and paused for a few seconds before I eventually worked the words out of my mouth.

"I'm gay."

Tails and Knuckles then put on slightly stunned facial expressions, but they didn't seem too negative or hateful.

"Sonic, that's wonderful. Being able to come out and say that you're gay is brave. There are people who don't have that kind of courage or even the ability to speak out like that, and I'm proud of you for that." Tails stated, making a wave of relief wash over me.

"Thanks, bud." I say.

"I'm with Tails on this. It doesn't matter what you are, you're still my friend, just don't expect to ask me out on a date." Knuckles said.

"Dang, because that's exactly what I was about to do." I joked.

"Whoa now, I don't swing that way!" Knuckles quickly got out, his face completely flustered.

"Only kidding, Knux, I'm not into you or Tails like that, no offense."

"Then do you have a crush?" Tails asked, curious.

"I bet it's Shadow." Knuckles put in.

"I will admit that Shadow is very handsome, but it's not him. I don't actually have a crush on anyone at the moment." I say.

"Hang on, what about Amy?" Tails then asked, making me remember how I left her in the country and emotional mess. "She knows, doesn't she?"

"No, she doesn't. I dumped her without telling her and I don't think I did it the right way."

"What do you mean?" Knuckles asked.

"We were walking in the country when I told her, I panicked after I told her that I couldn't date her anymore, and I did what I do best, run."

"You didn't leave her there, did you?" Tails then brought up.

I sighed before answering.

"Yes, Tails, I did."

"Sonic, what the hell?" Knuckles exclaimed.

"Yeah, I'm with Knuckles on this one, why?"

"Look, I know I fucked up by doing that. I wasn't thinking straight and I messed up bad. I wouldn't be surprised if she hates me, and I wouldn't blame her one bit honestly."

"Well, Sonic, I'd honestly go talk to her and tell her the truth." Tails told me as he walked over and patted my arm.

"I'll probably need to wait a bit before I do that for my own safety." I tell him.

"Probably a good idea. Well, I'm heading back to Angel Island, so I'll catch you guys later, and Sonic, don't start with the gay jokes either."

"Oh, you know me so well." I laugh as I blow him a kiss, making Tails laugh.

"Later." He said before heading out the door.

"I think I'm going to hit the hay, too, bud, it's been an exhausting day for me." I say.

"Sounds good, Sonic. I'll be in the lab for a bit. Good night." He says.

"Good night, pal." I say as I walk to the guest room, which is pretty much mine.

Next Morning

I woke up a little bit before Tails and decided to go for a run. I can always count on a run to help clear my mind and I was hoping it would be the same here. The early morning air was a refreshing feeling while running through the hills and valleys. I'll never tire of this for as long as I live. When I was going into a forest, I caught a glimpse of something in my peripheral vision that was green, making me stop in my tracks.

"Oh great, you're here." A voice said.

"Scourge, what are you doing here?"

"None of your fucking business, that's what! I should be asking you that!" Scourge growled.

"Well you're in my world so you need to be answering the questions." I tell him, also trying not to actually check him out. He's actually pretty hot, but that could also be because he looks like me, and I'm definitely hot.

"Do you really want to know that bad?"

"I do now." I smirk.

"Fine. Fiona dumped me because she caught me with a guy."

"Ha! That figures. Wait, did you just say a guy?" I say.

"Yes. Apparently, I just found out I have a thing for guys, too."

"Wow, I was not expecting to ever hear that come out of your mouth."

"Me either, because you better not go around telling anyone either!" He threatened.

"You want me to level with you?"

"What are you talking about?"

I sighed.

"I can't believe I'm actually about to tell you this, but I just figured out that I'm gay."

Scourge's jaw hit the ground.

"Nah, you're fucking with me and I don't find it funny in the slightest!"

"I'm not fucking with you at all, I'm being serious!"

"You're gay? I'd be lying if I said I saw that coming." Scourge stated.

"Me either. I feel like I've known for a long time, I've just now embraced it."

"Well, I guess congrats for coming out."

"Thanks, even though I know you didn't mean it. See ya around and stay out of trouble."

"Hold on a minute." Scourge said.

"What?"

"You ever been with a man before?"

"No, why?"

"I mean, if you want since we're both fruity, maybe we could-"

"What, fuck?"

"I mean, maybe. I could show you a few things."

He's actually asking me to have sex with him, and as bad as it sounds, I would like to try it out honestly.

"I'm not going to let you try to rape me, that's for sure."

"Man, I'm not trying to do all that, stop making this weird."

"Alright, alright, yes, I'll take you up on your offer, but only because I think you're hot." I tease him, walking up to him.

"Yeah, that'll take a bit of time to get used to, but I do think you're pretty cute." Scourge told me, slightly blushing.

"Well I'll help you adjust." I say as I lean in and press my lips on his, officially marking my first gay kiss. There's definitely no going back now. He immediately kissed back and it just felt right honestly. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it when Amy kissed me, but it did not feel right. This does, even though it's with Scourge. I felt Scourge pull me down to the ground and deepen the kiss, feeling his tongue lick my lips, to which I opened my mouth and let him explore, moaning into the kiss with my tongue began to wrestle with him as I then began to take off his coat.

A Little Bit Later

That was something. I won't go into any detail on what just happened, but yes, me and Scourge just had sex IN THE FOREST. I think it's safe to say he likes me and I like him so that'll be something going forward. I had missed a call from someone while me and Scourge were fooling around so I decided to call him back when I regained my composure.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Hey, bud, I was just returning your call."

"What all have you been doing?"

"I was just really locked into a run. Everything alright?"

"Yeah, everything is fine. I was just told that Silver is back in our town and that he wanted to say hi."

"I could pop in and see him. Where is he?"

"He's got an apartment in Station Square. I can send you the address on your comm watch."

"Sounds cool. I'll head over there now. I'll be over later." I tell him

"Sounds like a plan. Talk to you later, Sonic." Tails said.

"Catch you later, buddy." I say before hanging up and heading over to Silver's.

Silver's Apartment

I ran up to Silver's Apartment door and knocked on it. I was wondering if this means he's here full time now. After a few seconds, he answered the door.

"Hey, Sonic, long time no see." He said as he shook my hand, in which I returned the gesture.

"Same to you, buddy." I say.

"Please come in. There's not a lot to go off of, but it's a start."

I walked in and there wasn't a lot of anything as he had said, but it was coming together.

"Hey, it's better than nothing, Silv. You'll get it all put together soon." I say noticing him slightly blushing when I gave him a nickname.

"Well, I hope so."

"Are you blushing?" I tease.

"Huh? W-what, no." He reacted, trying to play it off.

Is Silver gay? Wow, I must have hit the jackpot, I've found two gay men in the same day, but I don't think I'll be able to sleep with this one immediately, which isn't my goal. I stumbled into that with Scourge, but Silver is very sweet and he's pretty cute, too. I'll just have to see how it goes.

Later that evening

Silver's POV

Sonic hung around and talked with me for a little bit and then headed out for the night, which honestly bummed me out, mainly because I actually have a crush on him. Yes, I'm into men and Sonic is at the very top of my list, but I know for a fact that he isn't gay so the best I can do is dream. But I can definitely settle for having him as a friend, but I'll need to do a better job of not getting flustered next to him in the future. I'm just glad that he didn't see me checking out his sexy body. I need to calm down. I've got a busy and early day tomorrow, so I should probably start getting ready for bed, but it's going to be a little hard when all I can think about is Sonic. Oh how much I want him to be next to me, talking to me, cuddling me, kissing me, and the rest I'll keep to myself.
