A Bad Love (REWRITTEN)

Chapter One

How do I get myself in these situations? Not even 8 months ago the little prick breaks my heart, abandons me in the middle of nowhere and I'm told that I am never going to see him or his family again. So tell me why the hell am I'm on the way to Italy to stop him from getting his sparkly dick fried? I really can't catch a break…

Maybe I should elaborate. Hi, I'm Isabella Marie Swan but my friends call me Isa for short. I live in Forks, Washington with my father Charlie Swan who is Chief of Police. I attend Forks High School and have some amazing friends. A lot of things changed after they left, some for the worst, some for the better but everything is where they should be. Of course, there are certain events I wish had not happened, but they are what kick started me into who I am today.

After the walking disco ball decided it was a good idea to leave me in the woods, alone with no way of finding my way back, I was found 10 hours later nearing death from hypothermia. I was pretty much unresponsive for 4 months; it wasn't until Jessica Stanley decided to confront me that I realized how bad it was. She stopped me on the way to second period, yelling at me about getting a grip before dragging me into the girl's restrooms and shoved me in-front on the mirror.

"Look at yourself Bella, this isn't healthy!" It wasn't until then that I realized how far id fallen, the girl looking back at me was not who I remembered. She was borderline anorexic, clothes hanging off her frail weak looking body, her hair looked dull and had no life to it. Her skin looked forcibly stretched over her face and her eyes were empty. No sign of any emotion ever being present.

"Is that me?" I whispered, unable to take my eyes off the reflection Jess nodded sadly.

"If this isn't enough to convince you then you should just look at Chief Swan when you get home. It not only effecting you, Bella." With that statement she walked out.

Id been stuck in my thoughts all day, not paying attention, waiting to go home. Was Charlie really just as bad as I was? Was it my fault? The bell rang, jumping me out of my thoughts. I quickly gathered my belongings and ran out of the room rushing to my Chevy clumsily throwing my bag in the vehicle and quickly slamming the door. Before driving off I turned her head to look for Jess, she was standing with my old group of friends, they were laughing and talking amongst themselves. Jess looked up to see me give her a small nod in thanks and returned the gesture with a sad smile before turning back to the group.

When I got back, the house was empty, Charlie was still at work. So, while I waited, I decided to order pizza and have a shower. This was a big contrast to staring at the wall to pass time, like I would have done prior to Jess' wake up call. By the time I was done in the shower and had gotten changed, Charlie was back. He looked genuinely shocked to see me coming down the stairs, like it was out of the ordinary. Which I suppose it was ever since the incident. I could tell he was looking to see if I was okay, and I used this time to do the same with him. Jess was right, this wasn't just affecting me, he also looked unrecognizable.

He had lost an unhealthy amount of weight, his face was pale and tired looking, from the looks of it he hadn't been sleeping much either. But I guess that was down to me and he was worried. That was when it fully hit me, I was making my father suffer with me, a broken sob escaped my lips before I launched myself into his arms, he stumbled out of shock but still caught me. "Bella?" He asked uncertainly.

"I'm so sorry Daddy! It's all my fault!" I cried into his chest, he hugged me tighter into his chest, like he was scared to lose me again.

"Never!" He growled out whist holding he close while I cried. We stood there just holding each other until the pizza arrived. Whist Charlie was paying for the food I pulled out my phone and dialed a number that I hadn't used in a while.

"Hello?" Jess' voice came though the receiver. Either she hadn't looked at the caller ID or she had deleted my number -not that I would blame her if she had- because when I asked, "Fancy a shopping trip?" All Jess could do was gasp and say "Bella?"

The next day we skipped school, along with Angela and Lauren. And for the first time in months, I felt like i could breathe. We went to the hair salon first, Lauren had said that my sad excuse for hair needed fixing, and fast, this statement made the other two girls giggle while I just shrugged and let them take the lead. In this department, they knew more than I did. By the time we left my hair had new life, I had decided to go for a reddish brown color over my usual dull brown and while I kept the length, I had all the dead ends cut out and added a few layers.

Next we started with my wardrobe, usually this would be my least favorite part of any shopping trip but with the girls, it felt fun. We laughed and joked about the boy's reaction to the knew and improved Bella. Jess bet that Eric would fall over himself and Lauren bet that Mike would try and jump to be her shoulder to cry on.

The girls chose my new clothes because according to Angela

"no offense Bella but you need to burn all your old stuff. They're no longer you!" And tossed everything that Bella had picked up to the side passing her what they had thought would go with her new look. They gasped at what looked good and gagged at what they didn't like.

By the time we had finished everything about my old self was gone. This made me relived because there was no reminder of the spineless girl who let a single family start the ruin of her life. She was no longer denim and converse but leather and boots, the start of a whole new person.

After this the girls started to drag me out more, forcing me to socialize. I started ditching my books and went to parties with the group. Jess taught me how to do my make up, Lauren helped me gain my confidence and Angela helped me laugh again. It felt like a new life.

We found out about Jake and the pack after going to LaPush and slapping Paul for calling Lauren a slut, this obviously triggered him phasing in front of us, causing the other three girls to scream and for me to just stand in shock my jaw hanging open. After a lot of explaining from the pack we started to go to LaPush more often, Jake had ended up imprinting on Angela and Paul had imprinted on Jess.

After three months I was healthy size 12 and my cloths no longer hung off me like they did originally. The girls and I had decided to start going to pole dancing lessons which surprisingly helped my balance and coordination, causing me to be much less clumsy. Jake also taught me how to ride a motorcycle, which was a whole new challenge of its own. When Charlie found out he really blew a gasket – pun very much intended- but when he finally calmed down he had said,

"well if you're happy then I cant really do much about it, just please don't make me have to wipe you up of the side of the road." Then walked off to watch the game. Two weeks later he brought me my own Ducati, I don't think I ever screamed so much in my life.

After weeks of begging Sam to take me cliff diving with them, he eventually gave in to my pleas and took me and Lauren to the cliffs. No one can resist my puppy dog face. It was an absolute rush! Even Lauren was laughing like a maniac after. Afterward we built a bonfire on the beach and tried to warm up. Of course, the alcohol also helped. After many, many tequila shots it was time to go.

Jake had dropped Angela off first and was on the way to my house ready to leave me for the night but of course that didn't go to plan because ladies and gentlemen, this is where saving Fuckwards life cones into play..

Someone was at the house, and it wasn't Charlie. Of course it wasn't Charlie he was on lates, he wouldn't be back until the morning. But a familiar silver car was pulled up in the driveway, Jake had stiffened confirming her thoughts "Cullens" they both said at the same time.

"Do you want me to come in with you?" He asked already getting ready to unbuckle his belt before she stopped him.

"Ive got this, they cant just come wandering into my life after eight months like nothing had happened. Trust me." Jake signed but nodded at her decision.

"Just try and stay safe yeah? I'll wait out here and if anything happens shout, I'll come running. Treaty or not they fucked with my family." He looked at the silver car in distaste obviously not wanting to leave hisbest friend alone with the creatures that started the cause of her breakdown.

"I will Jake, don't worry I'm not that stupid. I'm not about to let the fuckers send me back to the place I've worked so hard to get out of." She replied, rolling her eyes at even the thought of it. Stepping out of the car she gave him a quick wave.

"I'll give you a shout when it's all clear" Jake smiled and turned off the car, clearly not expecting to go anywhere and time soon.

"Okay, loves you loca" she smiled at endearment and started towards the house, getting ready for whatever bullshit she was about to face. The door was unlocked… Did they really just break into the house? The entitlement of it. Rolling her eyes she stepped through the door and flicked on the light. There, standing in-front of her was that child-like form of Alice Cullen. She was looking at her like she wasn't suppose to be here. In her own house. Huffing Isa tried to move past her.

"Are you going to move Cullen? Or is there a secret password I need for me to enter my own house?" She asked in a bored tone. Alice startled out of what ever shock she was in and gasped.

"B-but you're… dead…. I saw you die! You jumped off a bloody cliff, why would you even do that?" She shrieks

"Well clearly im not dead because if I were, I wouldn't be here and much to my displeasure talking to you." Isa rolled her eyes and pushed past her "Obviously your power is failing you. On and to why I jumped? Simply because it was fun"

"Fun? Fun? Bella are you stupid? You could've gotten yourself killed!" The pixie child shrieked.

"Right let's get a couple of things straight here Cullen, since you still feel so entitled to my life. Do not call me Bella. That hasn't been my name in a very long time. But you wouldn't know that, right? Second, if you ever call me stupid in my own home again, I will personally set fire to your shiny dead arse and feel no remorse about it, do you understand? You're the one breaking an entering." Isa snarled to the vampire who flinched at the tone.

"Everything good in here? I heard shouting." Jakes voice echoed through the hallway, slowly coming into view glaring at the smallest Cullen when he caught sight of her.

"What is a mutt doing here?" Alice gasped "Are you suicidal Isabella? Werwolves are dangerous company to keep!" This made Isa laugh out loud and looked at her incredulously.

"You really can't say much on this matter, I hung out with you guys didn't i?" Isa started walking up the stairs away from the headache that the pixie child was causing. "I'm going to get changed, try not to kill each other while I'm gone." At this thought Isa paused on the stairs "maybe one of you should just leave." She said giving a pointed look at Alice before completely leaving the room.

"Well, you heard her dog, off you go." Alice sniped at Jake who only smirked at her and replied,

"I think she meant you bloodsucker, it's been a while since you were here and I'm pretty sure she trusts us dogs over you parasites these days." He chuckled. Alice huffed in annoyance and moved to the living room where she sat on the sofa waiting for Isa to come back down.

This was how Isa found them, Jake leaning against the wall smirking at the vampire whilst texting someone on her phone? and the vampire was pouting looking at the wall. Just as Jake looked up as Alices phone rang.

"She's still here?" Isa groaned, he looked at her nodding with a laugh

"You look comfy" he said looking at her baggy grey joggers that hung low on her hips and light green crop top. She laughed at his observation.

"Of course, after the night we've had I need comfort, especially with the hangover I'm going to wake up with tomorrow." Jake chuffed and nodded,

"Getcha" The two of them carried on talking until Alice appeared in front of them looking frantic.

"Bella I need you to come with me. Now!" She shrieked making a grab for Isa's hand only for the latter to move before she could make contact.

"Excuse me? I hope for your sake Cullen that you're taking the piss. Why on earth would I go with you?" She snarled, looking incredibly pissed off by the thought.

"There's no time for this, Rosalie told Edward your dead, he's gone to the Volturi. He wants to die too." Alice cried out looking distraught.

"That's sound like a you problem to be honest Cullen, why would I risk my life trying to save the boy who broke my heart? Sounds pretty silly if you ask me" Isa rolled her eyes at the thought of it only for Alice to stare at her in shock. Jake flat out laughed before handing Isa her phone and showed her the text conversation he was having whilst she was changing, her eyes widening as she read. She looked at Alice and then back at the phone thoughtfully.

'What brilliant timing' she murmured sadly before sighing. "Tell me one good reason why I should help you save him?"

"Are you being serious right now Isabella? There's not time for this." The pixie shrieked looking hysterical but when she realized Isa wasn't joking, she huffed and crossed her arms "When Volturi find out he's told a human of our existence, they will send people down here to check that no one else knows. When they find that you are not dead, you will be."

"So, you've put my life in danger yet again? Doesn't this get old for you?" Isa replied sarcastically. "Fine since my life is once again, on the line. Looks like I have no choice. Jake, I'm leaving it up to you to explain to everyone." Isa told her friend giving him a stern look. "Alice, start the fucking car." Jake nodded and gave her a quick hug whispering something in her ear quickly before walking her to the car.
