Tarryn's POV

"Absolutely not" Ciel growled at Sebastian. "I am not the one dancing so I don't need instruction"

"With all due respect, dancing is a necessary skill for a person of your position to possess, in your line of work master, social contracts are important to maintain"

"Gotta agree with the butler on this my lord"

I then turned to Sebastian.

"But our master is also right, he isn't the one dancing tonight, so he doesn't need the lesson at the moment"

Ciel gave me a grateful look. Then I noticed Sebastian smirking.

"What's so funny?" I demanded.

The demon then held out his hand to me.

"Oh hell no" I countered. "I suck at dancing!"

"It's just one quick lesson, Tarryn," Sebastian stated. "And besides the Viennese Waltz is my specialty"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it," I interrupted, and I swallowed my stubborn pride.

I placed my hand into Sebastian's and the smug bastard put my left hand on top of his right shoulder. When his other hand wrapped itself around my waist I shivered at his touch. Then the demon began to dance and I followed his lead to the best of my ability.

As expected, I made a few errors, but Sebastian was a good instructor.

"You'll improve in time with proper instruction, my lady," Sebastian said after the practice dance was over.

I shook my head and noticed Ciel was smirking.

Was that honestly so bad?

I shot my other half the bird in my mind.

Later.

"This is the most humiliating outfit ever!" Grell whined.

Poor Grell was wearing a dress picked out by Lizzy. The rest of us, myself included, wore new outfits for the brief dance. The dress I wore was pale blue and sort of resembled Belle's from Beauty and the Beast.

"Think your going to have to make peace with it"

"Be nice, Bard," I reprimanded the chef.

"Thank you, Ms. Tarryn! This dress is absolutely atrocious, so white, girly, and frilly! If I have to dress up, why can't it be in the sexy shade of red with a waistline that would flatter my figure!"

Not wanting Grell to go to the extreme I hurried to his side and intertwined my arms into his.

"We can endure this feminity together"

"Oh, Ms. Tarryn!"

The disguised Grim Reaper then hugged me and cried happy tears.

"You are too kind!"

Tristan suddenly went red and it was because Lizzy just arrived in her red dress. Ciel and Sebastian also chose that moment to make their selves known. While Tristan and Lizzy interacted with one another Sebastian's eyes were suddenly on me.

What the hell is he looking at? I wondered.

He's eyeballing you duh!

Oh damn it she was right. Ciel saved the day by having Sebastian start playing the violin.

"Blimey is there anything he can't do?" Finn wondered.

Grell then began to sing, which earned a different reaction from us, the staff.

"What the hell?! He can actually sing?!" Bard exclaimed.

"Who cares! He's good!" I shouted.

Tristan then held out his hand to Lizzy and she blushed before accepting. The young couple then began their waltz and I had hearts in my eyes because they were so damn cute. When their dance finished, Ciel decided to dance with Lizzy which surprised me.

Deciding to be mischievous I snuck behind Mey-Rin and pushed her towards Bard. Bard protested and I laughed my ass off. Finny, being the sweetheart he was, decided to take Mey-Rin for a spin on the dance floor. Suddenly, Tanaka changed from his small form to a butler state, and the chef and I watched as the retired butler went up the stairs toward Sebastian. Tanaka took the violin from Sebastian and then the former butler began playing himself.

"What the hell is Sebastian up to?" Bard wondered.

"No clue" I replied. My face then paled when I realized the damn demon was coming our way!

Immediately, I tried to make a break for it, but Bard stopped my getaway, and soon, the chef was pushing me towards Sebastian. And like prior Sebastian held his hand out to me.

"My lady would you do me the honor of a dance"

My face went several shades of red and after giving Bard the bird did I place my hand into Sebastian's and soon we were dancing.

"Now, this isn't so bad, is it?" Sebastian teased me.

I gave him a glare which in turn made him smile. However, I wasn't going to lie that I was enjoying this. Back home I never really had any serious relationships because no one interested me. And now, being in Sebastian's grasp, the unfamiliar feeling of attraction was there. A small flame that could become more.

Later that Night.

Tristan thanked Ciel for hosting him and Lizzy. I could see a possible friendship forming for the two boys, and after the hell Ciel has gone through, the young Earl could use a friend his own age. I was in my room settling in for the evening and looking through my phone. The battery life was almost gone but I wanted to see my family.

I scrolled through my photos, and at seeing them, I felt tears coming. I missed them so damn much and the thought of not seeing them again tore at my heart. A knock at the door made me jump, and of course, it had to be Sebastian. Mind you I wasn't wearing my nightwear yet. I wore my teal tank top and a pair of black pants that I wore around the manor.

"Come on in, butler," I greeted Sebastian after opening the door.

"I won't be too long, Tarryn," he promised as he entered, and I shut the door behind me.

It was then I saw he had the violin.

"What's with the violin?"

"There is a song I heard from your phone that was saved in your music folder, you played it a few times hence how I know it"

"I have a lot of songs on there, Sebastian," I reminded him. "But now I'm intrigued to hear what you think it is"

The demon smirked before setting the violin on his shoulder and he began to play. And what he played was something unexpected, but yet one of my favorites. It was Claire and Jamie's theme from my favorite show called "Outlander".

Sebastian played it to perfection and that was when I felt the held back tears finally go down my face.

Sebastian's POV

When I finished playing I noticed Tarryn was crying.

"Tarryn?"

I set the violin down and approached the dragon shifter.

"What upsets you, darling?"

She didn't reply, and instead, she buried her head into my uniform. Her body began to shake and I felt her sadness intensify.

Tarryn's POV

Sebastian didn't push me away as I wept into his uniform. When he played that song it reminded me of home and my family. And that was why I was crying silently. Strong arms wrapped themselves around me and Sebastian pulled me closer to him.

He didn't say anything but his actions spoke louder than words. His embrace made the pain of missing my time and loved ones less painful.

Then he kissed my forehead. And for the time being, I was glad he was here with me so I wouldn't feel alone.
