Mystic Falls

Kol was quite frankly stunned as he looked at the beautiful witch who's eyes were hazy and a little tired but were clear and tranquil as if she hadn't asked her old foe to nurture her growth and development. Was she insane? Kol thought as he stared at Bonnie who's body was adorned in bite marks.

"I know how it sounds.." she started but Kol interrupted, with an incredulous question of his own, "do you?" Bonnie nodded at Kol with a determined look on her face.

She had left for New Orleans because she needed a small break for a single day, mainly because of how strained and drained she felt from her friends and family, then she found herself sharing a bed with Kol Mikealson. The situation had been far from ideal and Bonnie wasn't really smitten with his charm, he hadn't really tried and she could only say it was nice and fun but nothing more than that, so Bonnie hadn't really expected much and the encounter she had with him wasn't as chemistry filled as Caroline and Elena's endeavours, excluding the intimacy which has just been what it was, physical, mind-blowing but that was all.

Bonnie had no romantic delusions in that moment but for some reason, she had held on to hope for only a moment's flash thinking of a wild and liberating relationship with the said original. However, she hadn't gotten that and it had stunned her more than she liked. It got worse when Kol had opened his mouth and Bonnie was immediately brought back into reality and even though a little painful, wasn't the end of the world. In fact she was quite grateful that she didn't have an excuse to hide from the real problem. So to a certain extent she was grateful but that naive, childlike and lack of parental side had been itching. And Bonnie though she wanted to give in, didn't give in.

And considering how Kol had shown mass development from before to now, Bonnie found herself thinking that she needed to grow up. Yes, she was grown up to a certain extent but she needed to be more mature or at least stronger mentally because the way that things were going in her life, Bonnie was sure she was almost close to falling from a disastrous edge.

And what was worse is, no one would probably notice, no one would care enough and that stung.

She looked at Kol who had a thoughtful look and couldn't help but marvel at how far he had come in such a short period of time.

"I just need you to help me out, that is all" Bonnie said softly, her hands tentatively grabbing his cheeks afraid that he would say no and at least hoping that for a minute or a two, he would focus on her hands rather than her complex request.

Kol held her gaze and Bonnie held her breath, she needed this, she needed to grow, to not get hurt anymore and as much as Kol was a little calmer and wouldn't be quite affected with her meaningless form of seduction and attempt of persuasion, Bonnie still tried. She kissed him gently almost featherly and looked at him quite hopefully "please Kol" she pleaded, her green eyes staring at him almost begging and Kol wondered how he was supposed to say no to that. He felt her desperation, her desire to just keep her heart safe and he exhaled softly as a familiar smirk materialized on his face.

"Kiss me again and I'll think about it"

And the deal was already sealed as Bonnie's eyes fluttered while Kol met her halfway. His fingers traced across Bonnie's skin almost tenderly and kissed her abdomen and went up to her chest and then he smirked.

"Lesson 1 : Seduction"

And Bonnie wondered what she had gotten herself into.

..

Bonnie sighed as she sat on her couch, she looked at her new phone which Kol had bought for her and she looked at her old one. It had been Kol's first official lesson: cut off anything that hurts her. He had told her to tell her friends that she needed space to breathe and then without waiting for their reply to put her phone on flight mode. She had been quite reluctant, more than quite actually but Kol had looked at her blankly as if wondering when she'd give the charade up. She did want space, more than space, she wanted to be free from all of this and yet she had been reluctant because some part of her unfortunately enjoyed being constantly and obviously used because it made her feel she was useful. Nevertheless even with those thoughts in mind, Bonnie did as told, then Kol gave her a new phone with just his contact.

It didn't end there.

No how could it? This was Kol and she was starting to see that he never did things half heartedly. Not ever.

The lesson had been quite far from over, Kol had her call her father. She had done it and talking to him was still excruciating as it'd been, when she further told him that she wanted him to not come back to her until a year from now. To tell him that he should let her be, and worse of all, his reaction was to do that, to let be and Bonnie had found herself crying.

But Kol didn't comfort her nor was he done, he let her cry on her own and when she was done, looked at her and told her that it was time to make everyone else uninvited except him. She'd said no, she screeched it, she'd been mad but Kol had been a statue, unmoving and telling her to get it done. No comfort, no anything and that alone had sobered Bonnie as she laid on the carpet feeling utterly alone.

Even so, she did as told and had to re-invite Kol, though the thought to let him stay out had been tempting. In the end she invited him and when she'd turn around, she found that all pictures of her friends were gone except one of when they were kids. And that was it. That was two weeks ago and Bonnie was left alone, by everyone as she had asked.

Furthermore, Kol had practially ordered her to stay indoors for a full month to ignore any knock or anything and try and look for other things to do besides the life that had to do with the supernatural. It was a lot of work and she had been determined for a day or so, wondering if Kol would check on her progress. He didn't. Her phone hadn't pinged. Her door hadn't been knocked. Nothing. Bonnie had gone raving mad, it didn't help that her old phone was right there, Kol hadn't taken it, he had let it stay right there as if waiting for her to undo everything.

She didn't.

Just to prove him wrong, Bonnie didn't touch it nor did she look for anything productive to do too. She wallowed instead, she binged watched a couple shows, she read a numerous amount of books and Bonnie tried. She tried not to stare at phone. She really did. But maybe, if she just, just removed it from flight mode, she'd see missed calls or at least a nice short paragraph.

Caroline used to send her those back when they were trying to repair and fix thing between them. Maybe there'd be a missed call from Matt too but Matt was a guy, as sweet as he was, he was just a guy and he wouldn't do more than just text her a nice and sincere sentence which said she should feel better. Tyler would probably do the same but it'd be a phrase or anything.

As for everyone else. Not everyone else. Damon. What would he say? He was one of her best friends? But his best friend or sweet Elena?

Bonnie flinched at that voice, Kol's voice, telling her as it was. Damon might have been her best friend but even though he cared it just wasn't enough to overturn Elena nor was it enough to go the extra mile especially since things between them had been a little more...odd.

She sat down and looked at the number of weeks. Okay. Okay. She could do this. Bonnie crossed another day of the calendar.
