Transformers One: Siren Epilogue IV
Siren can't believe this is finally happening. She finds it hard to believe that after all this time, all this long waiting, that her dream of finally performing on stage to sing in front of all of Iacon is finally coming true.
Siren is extremely unnerved by the prospect and has serious misgivings as she waits for her cue, hidden backstage on the one set up to use before the start of the next Iacon 5000 race.
What if she messes up?
What if Siren misses a note or somehow forgets the lyrics to the number she has to sing?
All of these doubts repeatedly bombarding her are doing very little to quell Siren's raging nerves.
The thing that eventually does is a reminder that hits her as she listens to mixed voices from the crowds amassed for the occasion.
There's a reason that they're all gathered here today, and it's not just for a major race that's been a staple for them for many cycles.
Sentinel has been defeated and ousted from power, locked away under heavy guard where he'll never have a chance to escape and see the light of day again, everyone possessing a T-Cog and living life to the fullest, lush Energon flowing at its fullest once more, and the Quintessons pushed back from Cybertron.
Everyone's happy and living in harmony, away from the indifferent and negative influence regarding the corruption from before.
What's not to celebrate?
No way Siren can back out now. That would positively ruin the entire party for everyone looking to have some fun.
So, right now, Siren is just going to go with the flow.
Finally, Siren hears someone on the loudspeaker announcing her entrance.
Swallowing heavily, inhaling a sharp intake of breath, realizing it was now or never, Siren steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight awaiting her.
The moment she does so, roars boom throughout the stadium as people all over the place rise to their feet, cheering for her.
All at once, there's silence as the crowd looks on with eager anticipation for the start of the long-desired concert.
The band that is to accompany Siren for this performance is signaled, and they start up, creating a melody that Siren somehow already knows the heart of the words to without ever hearing or practicing it before.
And yet Siren hesitates, not sure she can go through with this.
And then, that is when Siren spots them in the midst of the masses after searching for them over various heads, scanning the area with her eyes.
Eventually, our dear Siren found them.
Orion and D-16 are standing together, nearly hidden entirely in the crowd of bodies surrounding them from all sides. Ordinarily, others probably wouldn't have been able to locate them in the first place if someone like her hadn't been scouring the area for them at the beginning.
Locking eyes with them, Siren parts her lips and starts the melody that has been bursting to escape from her spark all this time for so long filled with so much truth and emotion all in one.
There's no denying that she's always been the kind of girl who hides her face. So afraid and far too shy to tell the world what she's got to say. But Siren's always had this dream right inside of her. Now's the time to let everyone know that it's time. To let them know, to let them all know, how real this is. That this is the true her.
Time to finally let the real her come out and shine. No more hiding who Siren's always wanted to be.
As Siren gets further and further in, Siren doesn't remove her eyes from the mechs in her life. Because of this, Siren's confidence grew, pushing all the nerves and anxiety out of her system, the freedom that Siren's waited so long to come taking over and filling her up.
And that's not all that consumes her.
Love.
Indisputable and undeniable love for one particular mech, most dear to her spark.
The deeper Siren got into the song and brought it to life, the more she and Orion became entranced and locked in each other's eyes.
And it's like Siren's not singing to anyone else, only him.
During the number, it soon reaches the point where it's like Siren's voice isn't reaching out to anyone else, not even D-16, leaving her and Orion as the only two remaining, as everyone else fades away.
Through this, the old Siren appears to be vanishing with a whole new outgoing and self-confident side of her permanently coming into play. One that she just has to let out or else she'll burst.
By the end of the concert, it is just Siren and Orion left.
No words need to be spoken as the distance is closed between them as Siren falls into Orion's strong arms. The two lovers stare into each other's eyes.
Slowly, they bring their faces closer to the other to share a kiss filled with so much love and promiseā¦
Only for Siren to wake up right then and there.
Siren's eyes snap open as the dream abruptly ends and the reality of her gruesome situation and placement slam back into her like a ton of bricks.
Infinite sadness consumes Siren's spark as she sorrowfully turns her back on Megatron beside her and stares sorrowfully out the window of their quarters in the direction where she knew Iacon and so much more would be.
Wishing so much like she did each day that she was back there.
Unbeknownst to her, the one whose thoughts her mind is fixated on is thinking along similar lines in the exact same boat.
After a long and tiresome day in Iacon, Optimus Prime does what he usually does before retiring for the day.
Gazing up into the stars, lost thinking about what could've been and what possibly might be once the conflict ends, however far from now.
One thing Optimus knows for sure is what his dreams will be filled with tonight, as they have been each night for cycles now.
Siren in all her purity, innocence, compassion, and love. Holding her in his arms and never wanting to let go.
Optimus stands by his vow that not only will he end this ongoing senseless civil war and bring peace to all of Cybertron, but he will also free Siren from the prison she is entrapped in.
Even if it takes every ounce of strength left in him, with his final breath, Optimus will make this so.
Count on it.
Authors Note:
The song that would've been here for Siren are Dreaming of You by the legend herself Selena, She's So Gone from Lemonade Mouth, and last but not least, This Is Me from the Disney Channel Original movie Camp Rock, with some adjustments to the lyrics to better suit our girl and her situation. If none of you have listened to or seen these features yet, then you should get your butt in gear and do so. Trust me, you don't know what you're missing by not doing so.
I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D
For those of you just starting out with my stuff there are other works on my profile that may catch your interest. I highly recommend you take a look as soon as the opportunity presents itself to you. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.
Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.
So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
I know I am. ;) See you guys next time.
