Lila was on her way to the kingdom but saw a bunch of guards with horses which made her think they were still on the search for the missing princess.

"Still no sign of that infernal cat boy," One of the guards said.

"Let's call it for the day," The captain said.

"And still no sign of the missing princess again. Whoever stole her will be hanged to death!"

Lila then goes back to the tower. Fearing how much trouble she'd get if they found out where Marinette was kept hidden all these years.

"Marinette! Let down your hair!" she calls for her, but there is no answer. "Marinette!?" So she frantically opens the covered entrance.

She knew something wasn't right because Marinette never ignored her calls. Lila ran up the stairs to try to find her but she wasn't there. Panic got the better of her to think she disobeyed her or a thief the guards mentioned about took her.

"No! No! NO!" She thrashed the room in rage to see that Marinette was not anywhere in the tower.

"She must have run away" She figured.

She spots the wanted flyer of Cat Noir that wasn't there before, "He was here"

With so much rage she goes in her room to get a dagger. And so she got out again to try to find them.

With Marinette, she thought this feline thief was cute but she doesn't know much of him. And his horse was a bit more civilized than a wild horse.

"Are you sure you know where you're going?" Marinette asked.

"I know these woods like the back of my paw," Cat Noir said.

"Funny. All I see is wanted flyers of you" Marinette said.

"Yeah, it's a long story," Cat Noir said.

"Care to share?" Marinette said.

"Very well" Cat Noir nodded and stopped.

"I was an orphan. No parents but just a kid to steal things to survive. One day, a group of thieves took me in, raised me, fed me, clothed me, and even trained me to become a cunning thief. I chose the name Cat Noir because black cats symbolize bad luck. Then I became infamous and wanted dead or alive but I was never caught yet" Cat Noir explained his story.

"Interesting and sorry about your parents," Marinette said.

"It's okay. Ah, here we are. Le Papillon" Cat Noir urged his horse to stop.

They got off Plagg and got into Le Papillon pub.

"I gotta warn ya. These thieves are much scarier than me but I find ways for this kitty to dominate" Cat Noir said before going inside.

At first, she thought it would have been friendly but she was wrong. Petty thieves dressed in animal-themed clothes. A fox, a turtle, a peacock, a tiger, and a snake.

They were very intimidating with the glances and their weapons were very scary to kill their prey.

"Ah, Flairmidable. I didn't recognize you to go from a cute puppy to a pretty bird with feathers. Got tired of barking too much or biting everyone's asses off?" Cat Noir bantering him.

"The name is Argos now and I'd be careful, this fan is sharp enough to slice fingers off," Argos said.

"I noticed. And here I thought you enjoyed your chew toy as your weapon to fetch prey" Cat Noir chuckled.

"Oh, I did. But times have changed, kitty. Catch any cute mice to eat?" Argos asked.

"Well, I brought her with me. Better than to catch cute mice to eat" Cat Noir showed Marinette to them.

"Hello," Marinette said nervously.

"Pretty and young" Argos flirted.

"You got a lot of nerve showing up here, kitten," The snake man with an actual snake said.

"It was just one time, Viperion. Besides, cats have great reflexes to avoid a snake's strike" Cat Noir chuckled.

"You don't say," Viperion said.

"They do. And don't forget, your tigress still makes me part feline cousin" Cat Noir said.

"That is right, Noir," Said Purple Tigress.

"The question is, why come back here? We don't take in alley cats" Argos asked while waving his fan.

"The guards are after me and I made a promise to Red Hair here to take her to see the lanterns," Cat Noir said.

"That's a lot of red hair, girl," The Fox lady said.

"Yeah. It is" Marinette said.

"Very well, we won't say a word. That is if you behave like a good kitty" Argos said.

"Come on, was I always a very bad kitty all the time? My paws are very soft you know" Cat Noir said.

"Soft enough to go berserk into claws. Cats eat birds but not peacocks" Argos glared.

"Oh yeah?" Cat Noir took out his clawed knuckledusters.

"Always the intimidating cat that wants to show no fear" Argos chuckled.

"You have no idea," Cat Noir said.

Argos growled like a dog to show intimidation but Cat Noir made a very intense hissing like a cat.

Marinette intervenes before it gets too brutal, "Okay, I'm new here but there's no reason to hold a grudge. Just take a deep breath and relax"

They all turn to face her, "We are far from finished" They both said at the same time.

"Don't you all have better things like dreams?" Marinette then asked. The turtle boy then approaches Marinette menacingly until he suddenly stops, "I had a dream once." He then threw his shield aside.

The shield gets embedded into the wall as one man starts playing the accordion.

"Oh, no. You made them open up to sing, red hair" Cat Noir groaned.

"Singing is a good way to express" Marinette chuckled.

"Jeez," Cat Noir shook his head.

I'm malicious, mean, and scary! My sneer could curdle dairy!

Carapace began to sing, showing a part of the floor where lines of a previous victim lay.

And violence-wise my hands are not the cleanest. But despite my evil looks, and my temper, and my hook...

He held his left hand as if to say left hook and he then went to a piano.

I always yearned to be a concert pianist!

Can you see me on the stage performing Mozart? Tickling the ivories 'til they gleam?

Yep, I'd rather be called deadly

For my killer show-tune medley

Thank you!

'Cause way down deep inside

I've got a dream

He played a few tunes on the piano. Marinette felt giddy at joining their song to express too while Cat Noir simply did not feel like singing or telling them what his dream was.

"He's got a dream! He's got a dream!" The others joined.

See, I ain't as cruel and vicious as I seem!

Though I do like breaking femurs

You can count me with the dreamers

Like everybody else, I've got a dream!

Carapace sang to Marinette. Argos was a bit impressed that this girl had a cheerful side.

"You picked the right girl" He nudged to Cat Noir.

"Oi! I just met her today but she does seem cheerful" Cat Noir said.

"Cheerful enough to bring out the joy out of their menace side," The Japanese dragon lady said.

I've got scars and lumps and bruises

Plus something here that oozes

And let's not even mention my complexion

But despite my extra toes

And my goiter, and my nose

I really wanna make a love connection

Can't you see me with a special little lady

Rowing in a rowboat down the stream?

Though I'm one disgusting blighter

I'm a lover, not a fighter

'Cause way down deep inside

I've got a dream

Cat Noir scoffed at their annoyance but was a little impressed that this red-haired girl was brave enough to not choose violence to defend herself.

"I've got a dream, I've got a dream

And I know one day, romance will reign supreme

Though my face leaves people screaming

There's a child behind it, dreaming

Like everybody else

I've got a dream" Viperion joined.

Marinette drags Cat Noir to join the fun, "What about you Kitty?" Marinette asked.

"I'm sorry, me?" Cat Noir asked.

"What's your dream?" One thug asked.

"I don't have one. And for the record, I don't sing" He crossed his arms.

The others then surround him, pointing their weapons at him, forcing him to join them.

I have dreams like you, no really

Just much less touchy-feely

They mainly happen somewhere warm and sunny

On an island that I own

Tan and rested and alone

Surrounded by enormous piles of money

I've got a dream! I've got a dream! I just want to see the floating lanterns gleam! And with every passing hour

I'm so glad I left my tower

Like all you lovely folks

I've got a dream!

Cat Noir smirked at how Marinette had a bright side to not judge these thieves which was new to him because every day of his life, people always judge him as a low-life thief.

"She really is something," He thought.

She's got a dream!

He's got a dream!

They've got a dream!

We've got a dream!

So our diff 'differences ain't really that extreme!

We're one big team...!

Call us brutal-

Sick-

"Sadistic and grotesquely optimistic:

Cause way down deep inside

We've got a dream!" They sang together.

"I've got a dream!" Carapace sang.

"I've got a dream!" Argos sang along.

I've got a dream!

I've got a dream!

I've got a dream!

"I've got a dream!" Marinette finished.

Cat Noir cheered softly at her performance. Despite not having a sense of fun it did enlighten him a bit.

"How was that, Kitty?" Marinette asked.

"Impuuuuurrrresive" Cat Noir made a pun.

"Thank you" Marinette smiled.

"Still with cat puns again?" Argos groaned.

"Yes. And I suppose you don't do the biting in the ass like a dog routine puns" Cat Noir smirked.

"More like pecking like a bird," Argos said.

"Sure. Until you grow lovely feathers to impress a bird lady" Cat Noir pickpockets his fan and waves it.

"He's got a dragon already," The dragon lady said.

"Lovely. Considering you both lay eggs" Cat Noir chuckled and waved the fan in his face.

Argos snatched the fan back, "And let's hope you enjoy having kittens someday. Everyone loves kittens"

"They are always adorable," Cat Noir said.

"And I hope you know the meaning of being an adorable kitty cat than scratching everyone's asses off with your claws," Argos said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah" Cat Noir rolls his eyes.

Little they knew, Lila had seen them through a window.
