Razor and Aether carved up the boar and roasted it over the fire. They prepared delicious meaty skewers with sweet flowers, fish, and potatoes. It was great. Razor liked eating with his Lupical Aether. He smelled nice, like home.

Aether patted his belly—a sign he enjoyed the food. Then, he put down the skewer.

"Razor," he said in a solemn voice. "I want to talk to you about something."

Razor frowned. "Talking hard…but I try."

Aether smiled. "You know I'm close to Lisa, your teacher. I care a lot for her. I just want you to know that I'm not going to take her from you. She and I are Lupical. But you and I are also Lupical."

Razor nodded. "I understand."

"If you'd like," said Aether. "You can think of me as your uncle."

Razor cocked his head uncomprehendingly.

"I know Andrius is like your father," Aether continued, "and I'd never take over his place. But think of me as your human uncle. If you ever have any human questions—or any man questions—I'll be here for you."

"Man questions like 'bees and birds?' Andrius explain it to me years ago," said Razor.

"I see. That's good."

"…but, Razor would like to learn something. How to… 'shave?'"

Aether nodded. "Come to the Serenitea Pot tomorrow. I'll give you a lesson."

"Thank you," said Razor. "My… 'uncle.'"
