*AHEM* Now then, onto the fourth chapter of this story of Knights of Tal'Dorei!
Knights of Tal'Dorei
IV
GHOSTHITTERS
The Emperor's throne room was filled with a dreadful sense of silence. Uriel was staring down at Vox Machina, including their five new members, in great disappointment. "You've ruined our banquet, assaulted political allies, and risked the security of the realm."
Before Uriel gets to finish, Jolee decides to use the Jedi mind trick once again to turn the tide in their favour. "Not to mention the Briarwoods attacked first." Allura seemed to be the only one but she decided to keep her mouth shut.
As expected… "But I simply cannot arrest all of you for your reckless actions." The Emperor spoke, feeling calm and turned around. "But this is my only warning. Do that again and then I shall execute all of you."
Vox Machina nodded their heads hastily. The Leader seemed to eye them before turning around and heading back to his quarters. After he left, Allura looked at the group with disappointment. "Of how the things you had to do, is to let this little nightmare traumatize this young woman who has never been so insulted."
Vox Machina turned their heads to Bastila as Scanlan gulped in fear. HK was gonna kill him no matter the excuse he made. "Hey, don't blame me, my beautiful lady! But I did what Vex asked me to!" He defensively spoke.
Bastila glared at him. "You knew the risk. Yet you had to take it!" She turned her attention to Vex. "As for you, you have a lot to explain to me."
All the Ranger did was to roll her eyes. Although not out of contempt but in annoyance. "Should have spoken up before the man even opened his mouth." Jolee couldn't help but chuckle upon hearing this.
Allura felt the same way as her. So instead she cleared her throat to gather their attention. "As you know, Emon owes you a debt, but that does not mean you are above the law."
"We understand, Lady Allura. We are deeply ashamed of our actions tonight." Revan said with utmost remorse.
Now that the Jedi has spoken, Allura thought it would be a good time to get to know who this person is. Not that she's infatuated with him (As Bastila would glare at her for making a nice comment). "Guards, if you may. I wish to speak to them alone."
The guards couldn't believe she wanted to be left alone with these criminals. After everything they pulled earlier, this was a good decision!? But, they eventually comply before leaving the room.
Now that other eyes are now gone, she can freely ask the group. "So do you mind telling me, and my girlfriend here, who you and your companions are?" Allura asked as Kima looked at her a bit weird.
Revan and his companions looked at one another, unsure of whether to tell them what they were. Well, it wasn't like they are going to tell anyone else soon. "Well, you may find it hard to believe what we are."
"Maybe unless you are willing to spill it." Kima demands while crossing her arms over her chest. "Don't try anything funny."
Revan closed his eyes as he was thinking on what to say. "Since you asked so nicely, Lady Allura." He opened them to look at the Council Women with no hidden intent. "We are not from here. Instead, we're from outer space."
Kima and Allura looked at one another, trying to be sure that what they were hearing weren't lies. "Outer space…? C'mon, you know that people from outer space are only just recent discoveries."
"Would he be lying to you?" Carth spoke up, his tone being filled with honesty.
Canderous immediately spoke up. "Maybe they still don't believe it." He looked at Revan. "How about you show them your Lightsaber and try levitating it with those Force Powers." Revan thought about it and he decided to do that in order to prove his claim.
He unbuckled his lightsaber and immediately ignited it, letting out a purple light from it. Both Council women had their eyes widened as they watched the Jedi about to throw his weapon.
"Allura, get behind me," The Lady of Vord got in front of her friend in a defensive dance.
Both saw the man throw his weapon…but it wasn't towards them. Instead, he spun around Revan and his companions alongside Vox Machina. Hearing the lightsaber make the 'woo' sound made Allura look interested. "Fascinating! You never told me you can do such magic!"
"Uh…I don't think that's magic." Kima pointed out.
The Wizard looked at her before she sensed that no magic was coming from the man. That alone confirms his answer. "Y-you're all from outer space!?"She was referring to Revan and his four companions.
"Yep," Grog answered her question by popping the 'p'. "We had the same reaction as them. And you don't want to mess with their laser toothpicks."
"Laser toothpi–They are Lightsabers!" Bastila corrected the barbarian. She was completely done with all of this after enduring a lot of Scanlan's shenanigans. It has only been a day of getting to know this gnome and couldn't stand his presence.
Revan was already too aware that his lover was about to snap at any moment. He decided to speak up before anything could occur. "As you can already see we're from a galaxy far, far away. We came here due to a threat of a Sith Lord, and if the Briarwoods have proven one thing that this threat may have some influence." He grabbed his lightsaber back to deactivate it before clipping it back onto his belt.
Kima blinked at what she heard. "I'm sorry, but you're after what?"
"Think of them like very big bad guys who care only about power and are willing to do anything to achieve it no matter what happens." Jolee explained bluntly. He really didn't want to go the long route of explaining things so he went for the simplest answer possible.
Allura seemed to take it well. "I…see…" She was still uncertain about what had been said. "But what if what you said is true, how are you going to prove that the Briarwoods aren't as innocent?"
"Because they are the ones that murdered my parents, my family."
Both Allura and Kima looked at Percy, who had a serious look in his eyes. Before any questions could be asked, Carth decided to step up. "He's not lying. His voice and tone confirms it. Both at the dinner."
"And when we fought them. they had dark magic and stuff and a sword that can use the person's blood to heal them." Canderous added as he was surprised that Sylas slimeball was able to regenerate despite firing multiple blaster bolts at his chest that can normally kill a person.
"They managed to land a strike on me. But I was able to use the Force to free myself." Revan finished as he looked at his chest where he was stabbed and was fortunate he had the ability to heal himself.
Both gasp at this revelation. Allura had both hands covering her hands over her mouth and looked at the white-haired gunslinger. "You poor thing. We heard something happened, but that too…"
"Well, that's the truth. These Briarwoods are not to be trusted no matter what they tried to justify." Vax said still recovering as he showed something.
"I'll do it for you," Carth was then handed a book by the half-elf before he showed it to Allura. "This book contains everything the Briarwoods have."
"A book?" Canderous raised an eyebrow. Now he wasn't that educational, but he wondered what was contained within it.
"That's the Briarwood's book." Vax clarified. "It contains everything they recorded. But it's written in an unknown language."
"Could it be translated?" Revan asked the important question.
"Well, we aren't the brightest ones to know the language." Vax responded before he looked at Allura. "But maybe they can."
Hearing about the translation made Revan's lover seem to have an idea. "I think I know one. But I'm not sure if Scanlan would agree?" She shot a glare at him
Naturally, the Gnome Bard tilted his head. "Who are you…" His eyes went wide as he knew who she was referring to. "Oh no, no, no, no, no! No! NO! Don't even think about bringing HK into this! YOU INSANE?! You know he wants my ass and I don't mean it in a literal way!"
"HK?" Both Allura and Kima uttered that…name. What kind of person names themselves 'HK'?
"After what you pulled me and Lady Allura through, I think it's fair enough." Bastila darkly said. Revan became a bit concerned of what made his girlfriend go near crazed.
"Like I said, sweetheart!" Scanlan was about to say. "It was Jolee and Vex's idea! Don't even solely blame me for–"
"Query: Is this tiny, pointed ear meatbag making you uncomfortable, Mistress Shan?"
The bard froze and became pale upon hearing that voice. He shakily turned to the entrance's door with his eyes widened and saw HK walking in. There were two things that were running in his mind. One was fear, and two… "Weeeeeellll, fuck me!"
The rest of Vox Machina, Allura and Kima were shocked by how in the name of all the gods did this aeromaton get in. Well, the former were thinking the latter two were staring at the rusty color aeroton in surprise and shock. They have heard of aeromatons before, but never something like this.
"HK, WAIT!" Now everyone turned to see Mission, Zaalbar, T3, and Trinket running to the Droid. "DON'T DO IT!"
"What are you doing here, Mission!?" Revan was not impressed that the others had left the camp unattended and revealed themselves to the public.
"Don't worry. We already set up traps to ensure no one enters to steal parts if not all of the ship and our supplies." The Twi'lek teen assured him. "As for your question, HK fed something to Trinket that caused him to pass out. Luckily, T3 awoke him right away and we discovered that he had already left camp."
Vex looked at HK, knowing what to expect with a half shock and horror and half rage, "What did you put on the food you feed Trinket!?"
"Honest response: To answer your question, pointy eared meatbag, I put a healthy amount of sleeping pills in the berries to momentarily knock the furry meatbag out for a bit. Afterward, it was easy to subdued the guards outside and sneakily make my way into your throne room." HK responded with pride. "Comment: the guards are easier to handle when it comes to their primitive weapons."
"That part explains how we easily enter without any resistance." Juhani concluded as she and everyone else weren't immediately approached by guards.
Revan couldn't help but facepalm at HK's action. Still, he was glad he didn't have to resort into killing…hopefully. "Was any of the…"
"Doot-beep-toot-vreet!" T3 responded.
"Uh, what did that trash compactor say?" Kima can't help but to ask, which may not have helped her cause as Vex looked at her with a look that begged her not to insult the little droid unless she wanted to be shocked.
"Huh, so HK just knocked those guards instead?" Revan said.
"Vreet-toot-beep!" The mini droid responded happily.
"Um, Revan…" He looked at Allura, who couldn't help but to watch the scene. "You seemed to know that Aeromaton a lot."
"Too bad it's too small to be of any use–" The half-human was about to say when….
*ZAAAAAAPP!*
"Alright, what was that for!?" Kima demanded as her hair looked all shocked up with it pointing up in the air as laughter could be heard from Mission.
"Beep-doop-vreet-too-vreet!" T3 answered which stopped Mission's laughter as she and the crew of the Ebon hawk stared at T3, shocked at what the little droid said again. Even HK-47 was taken partly aback.
"T3 doesn't like to be called useless and insulted, and said that if anyone got any rude words again he won't be kind like he was these two times." Mission told her as she patted the droid on top of its head.
"And someone has to be reminded twice." Vex quietly murmured but went silent as T3 shot a look at her. "Don't look at me. I let my mouth run before I think."
"Don't do that again!" Kima warned the droid, pulling out her warhammer and pointed at the droid. "Or I'll smash you into bits."
"Well unless you want to be attacked by a droid who outsmarted some Sith Soldiers, sliced a lot of doors for us, hacked a Sith Warship during our escape and used mines to blow up a group of Sith Soldiers and Acolytes. Then please don't do so." Carth said calmly as the rest of the crew nodded in agreement with him.
"Kima, I suggest you heed this man's warning." Allura spoke, walking to her.
The dwarf councilwoman just sighs as she puts her warhammer down. "Fine. But don't expect me to be friendly with that Aeromaton."
"Remind me not to piss him off." Vex said underneath her breath, not wanting to be shocked by T3 once again.
Knowing T3 and HK, Allura was looking at the three humanoids with interest. "And who are those three?" She was referring to Juhani, Mission and Zalbaar.
Revan realised that the wizard council woman hadn't met those three before. "Ah, how rude of me. Allow me to introduce them to you. These are Mission Vao, Zaalbar and Juhani."
The Twi'lek teen waved a hand to her. "It's nice to meet you."
"GOOOAARR!" Zalbaar did the same.
"Yeah, Big Z said the same thing." The Twi'lek translated to the Council Woman.
Juhani put a hand over her chest and bowed down in respect. "It is a pleasure to meet you, milady."
*GRAB*
*GASP*
All turned to HK, who lifted Scanlan in the air and immediately began to strangle the gnome. He tightened his grip around his throat. "Irritated remark: You have greatly upset Mistress Shan, small pointy eared Meatbag. Now I am back to my words and make your life a living nightmare."
"It… was… Vex… and… Jolee's idea… I swear!" Scanlan panicky explained as HK-47 stopped his strangle and looked at the two, Jolee just partly pointed to Vex, "I was just going with what she suggested."
Vex, for the first time in a long time, began to sweat in a panicked like form as she looked at Revan and Bastila, both of whom partly had neutral faces. She turned her head back at HK-47 who after putting Scanlan down (dropping him) marched over to her and if the Aeromaton could make a face that would kill then Vex would be RIP when her name was said by Scanlan.
"Demand: True?" HK-47 asked as even Vox machina including Percy dispute his earlier angry outburst dares not go near HK-47. If he could do to Trinket, he could do something worse to them.
Thankfully before she could say anything, "HK. We have a book we need to translate."
HK stopped his rampage and looked at what was given in front of him. "Query: And why Master do you need my translation skills when I was about to make this female meatbag wish she was not born?"
"It may be something that is familiar to our Galaxy." Revan answered as he handed him the book.
"Tired retort: If that is what Master Revan wishes," HK responded, grabbing the book his master gave him and he immediately opened the book to read its content.
As he did so, Jolee Thought it was appropriate to ask Percy what happened earlier. "So, would you mind explaining to us what happened earlier?"
The haired-haired gunslinger looked at him, "It's…none of your concern."
"After you almost blew an innocent servant's hand off." Revan pointed out to him. "That could have gone worse if I didn't use my Force Powers to put you in stasis."
"Yeah, we haven't seen you in an angry state since… Well never." Pike added up as she crossed her arms, "I mean some of us talked about our problems, but never you."
Jolee can find the most obvious. "There can be only one explanation to all of this."
Percy raised an eyebrow. "And what would that be?"
"There's a growing darkness within you." Revan finished off where the old jedi stopped talking.
"What do you mean?" Percy asked.
The Jedi knew exactly where this was going. Some memories began to flash during his time as a Dark Lord of the Sith, but before that when he was a Jedi. He remembers justifying what he was doing against the Mandalorians and sacrificing planets and troops, just to win. "We all have our inner darkness. Yet there are some we can control." He looked at Percy. "I can sense it within you. You haven't gotten control of it."
Percy seemed to take note upon the Jedi's word of choice. He looked down and stared at his hand. 'Overcoming my darkness?'
It is at the same time that HK finished translating all of the book. "Completion: Master, I was able to translate what was in this book."
Everyone turned to the droid. Vox Machina, Kima and Allura looked at this Aeromaton in surprise as it was able to easily translate the book's content. Then again, this one came from outer space which should have not surprised anyone. "Have you figured out what's in it?" Revan asked.
The assassin droid nods. "Answer: Affirmative Master, and the context inside makes me wonder what mad meatbag may have done with the said book."
Hearing this made Percy shoot a look at the droid. "Would you like to share it with us?" He wanted to know what the Briarwoods were doing. That way, he was a bit of dirt from the Briarwoods.
"Explanation: To give an answer, glasses meatbag, these Briarwood meatbag seemed to have meddled in some sort of dark side practice."
Jolee wasn't surprised at all upon what he had heard. "That ain't a surprise after witnessing what Dealiah casted to us." He could immediately tell that these magic were akin to Force Powers.
"And furthermore–" HK was about to say when suddenly all of the lights in the throne room went dark. But due to being a droid, he had built-in night vision. "Inquiry: Why has the light suddenly gone dark?"
Everyone looked around the room at the lights going off. Some even wondered what the hell just happened. "Uh, can anyone explain how the lights turned off?" Mission asked the others, and none of them opened their mouths.
Everyone scanned the darkened room as they tried to find who had shut off the lights. Though, none of them could see a damn thing except for T3 and HK with their night vision and saw something moving in the dark. The latter saw the same figure moving behind HK as if it was readying to sneak attack him.
Without a sound make, T3 brought up one of its arms before hurling out flames. HK, having sensed the presence behind him, moved out of the way and the flames met one of the new shadowy figures. One let you a deafening shriek due to the light the droid proceeded.
Juhani and the others covered their ears due to it being ear-piercing. Though it wasn't loud enough to break any of the windows. Plus any of the droids' optics. "What did they just do?" The Carthar Jedi saw more of these newly humanoid figures
"Well, there's one thing that is now happening. Some weird creepy shit is about to happen!" Grog answered the most obvious. Unknowingly, Mission heard these words and quietly repeated it as if it sounded cool to say.
Unfortunately, Keyleth had to remind him of what he said. "There's a kid with us, Grog! Please mind what you say!"
"Oh, my bad," The Barbarian realised as Revan and the others got out their lightsabers to get ready for a fight.
The Jedis scanned the rooms until they spotted more of them, twenty of them no less. By the looks of it, they seemed to be disfigured with some of its flesh remaining, most of its skeletal frame and wore some tattered attires. All of them let out a shriek as they rushed towards them. However, upon getting close to HK, who was still holding the book, one of them had their heads cleanly sliced off from its body with help from Bastila who looked like she was ready to fight. "After what happened at the party, this is what I needed."
HK noticed a tone within Bastila's voice. It excited him. "Observation: Oh Mistress Shan. I can sense your desire to burn much needed steam. Let these meatbags see what a Jedi meatbag is capable of."
"HK, drop the book!" Vex shouted. As much as she hated what that Aeromaton did to her pet, she knew that these beings were after the book, and she didn't want to risk him to die by their hands.
The Droid looked at the object he held in his hands and then at the fire. Without uttering a word, the Assassin Droid tossed the book into the fire, which caused varied reactions. "What the hell, HK?!" The Ranger called out to him.
"We needed the book!" Scanlan of all people was next to scold him.
"Assured clarification: I have every content downloaded on my data banks. So, they came without a purpose." HK told them.
"Plus if Deliah wants that book then she'll have to figure out how to get it out of a Droid like HK-47." Carth added as he tried to shoot a shadow with his blaster, which caused a few to step back due to these lights coming over them.
Canderous threw a flashbang, which momentarily stuns the ghosts, which caused them to cover their eyes. Juhani immediately cut them down but only more seems to appear. "Looks like they're angry about the book!"
"You really did this too far, HK!" Percy scolded the droid.
"Statement: Oh, but you have a feud with these Briarwood meatbags." HK reminded him. "Rebuke: Guess we are even now?"
"Enough with the blame game. Let's just deal with them!" Upon seeing how the lightsabers were effective against them, an opportunity arose. Without a word, Vex ran up to Revan and grabbed something. "Hey, mind if I use this!?"
Revan felt something snatched within his belt. He was able to decapitate five of these ghosts before looking down to see that… "Where's my other lightsaber!?" He heard the sound of a lightsaber turning on and turned to see Vex wielding his blue lightsaber. "Give that back! You aren't trained to wield them!"
"Oh please!" Vex rolled her eyes. "You have a weapon that can basically kill one. How about you let me borrow it for the time being to make this quicker!?" She knew this would have a higher chance of injuring herself. Well, this will be at least her first time so she'll get the basics done.
All Jolee could do was to shake his head upon hearing this while waving his lightsaber to away from these creatures. 'Foolish girl. Always the reckless ones the youngsters are.'
All the while Revan defended as best as he could well, the wounds Delilah gave him may be a little bit slower than usual. Still, he was able to fight on just the same.
As for Vox machina they were trying their hardest to fend off these shadow like beings. Their weapons seemed to be ineffective against them. Well, not for Pike. Her divine weapons proved to be effective against them.
"Hey Pike!" Grog spoke up. "A bit of your magic can be useful here!"
"Well I could if all these shadow beings weren't a bit bothersome!" The Cleric responded, dodging a grab from one of them and was cut in half by the Cathar Jedi.
"There's too many of them!" Mission shouted as she shot one in the head. "T3, can you make more of the fire?"
"How about a bit of incendiary–" Canderous was about to suggest.
"NO!" Both Council women shouted at him.
"Are you crazy!? You're going to burn this entire place down! Besides, you're already in trouble for choking a guard out over your weapons! Don't make me arrest you!" Kima warned him.
"Well someone's got to use something! Otherwise these beings are gonna kill us!" Carth shouted as he dodge a shadow and he used his two pistols to kill it.
At the same time, Vex was using the lightsaber she had 'borrowed' from Revan. Though where one lacks the versatility and discipline of wielding such a weapon requires, she was doing very well. She was able to cut down 12 in just ten seconds. "Seems like I'm not bad with using one after all?"
All Revan's focus was on those shadows as he took out 15 in 5 seconds, "You were saying?"
"Lucky bastard!" The archer chirped before shutting her mouth, realizing that Mission was close to her and mimicking what she said, "Don't repeat what my friends or I said. Please."
"Okay," Was the response of the twi'lek teen. Zalbaar, meanwhile, was thankful upon hearing this.
Bastila, who managed to deal with 10 shadows thanks to her lightsaber being doubled bladed, immediately saw no end in sight. "They just keep coming! I'm not sure how we will last!"
"Everyone come to me!" Allura shouted. Everyone looked at her and they retreated to her position. Before any of them could open their mouths, they saw her spreading her arms out and then a dubbing surrounded them. "That should hold them!"
They were relieved upon hearing this. Although, the shadows began banging on the bubble and threatening to break in, "Uh these guys aren't the normal shadows!" Kima responded as she lifted her warhammer and ready herself. The others did the same.
While this was happening, Keyleth, who wasn't able to provide much to the party due to it being all, covered her ears with her hands. Her eyes were closed until she opened them to see these shadowy figures banging. She looked at her side to see both her party and Revan's group readying for this incoming attack. Though she did see everyone becoming tired from fighting these relentless beings. It was at this moment that Bastila's words back in the party echoed in her mind regarding the Force. "...it's a power that is given to us Force sensitive. It is also an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together…"
The Force! Of course! Perhaps that could guide her into finding the courage and strength that she needs. She regained her focus and breathed in. 'Oh Force, whatever you are, please guide an Ashari into proving myself!'
Whatever she called for, this caused her to do something. She put two of her hands together. As they were about to come into contact with one another….
*FLASH*
A bright light enveloped the room while Keyleth let out a yell. The shadowy apparitions had their skin begin to burn. Many of them stopped breaking within Allura's bubble and screeched, finding a shadow they could go into. Unfortunately, her part and Revan's group were caught in it. Naturally, they reacted.
"What is happening!?" Carth shouted, shielding his eyes from this sudden brightness
"I can't see shit!" Scanlan shouted, covering his eyes.
Pike couldn't help but laugh at what she saw. "You did it, Keyleth! I knew you could do it!"
At the same time, the Jedis couldn't help but feel at awe on feeling this power. "Gotta give it to her, she has potential." Jolee spoke.
"Indeed." Juhani nodded in agreement.
Revan thought it would be a good time to make a comment while looking at his girlfriend. "Looks like someone could rival you?"
Bastila could only roll her eyes. Although, she did so in a playful manner. "As if. She doesn't have any Force capability."
"Would you two stop flirting with one another and focus on what's in front of us!?" Vex reminded them before glancing at the Waiths who were retreating. "Now's our chance!"
"LET'S MESS 'EM UP!" Grog yelled out as he began swinging his axe like a mad man taking out each of the shadows.
Allura immediately lowered her arms, which dispelled the bubble and the group immediately dispersed into the remaining shadowy figures.
The Jedis, along with Vex, easily mopped up the creatures by cutting them into pieces.
T3 used a flamethrower to burn one of them again. HK, being the most logical droid, grabbed another around the throat before throwing it to one of them that was engulfed in flames.
Mission, Zalbaar, Canderous, and Carth used their blasters to main any Wraiths that were trying to fly away. As they landed, they were dealt with by Grog, Vax, and Kima were using their weapons to kill them. Grog went as far as ripping one of their heads off.
Canderous and Percy resorted into stomping them on the head.
It all went quickly before Keyleth's light dimmed down. The room went dark again, yet the Wraiths were no longer a threat to any of them. The half-druid panted and fell onto the ground knee first.
All of them were dealt with, which is evidenced by the black blood that was smeared onto the ones who weren't of a more melee approach. Not like the Mandalorian mind. "So, this is what the Briarwoods resorted into!? They must be cowards for sending them in!"
"Don't think of their actions as cowardly, Mandalorian." The Cathar Jedi told him.
Revan looked at the mess in front of him. Even though he and everyone else was responsible for causing it, they knew it was all the Brairwoods doing. "Hey!" He looked and saw Vex giving back his lightsaber. "Here's your lightsaber. Thank you for letting me use it."
"Just please give me a heads up next time," Revan commented as he put it back in his belt.
"Looks like the Briarwoods are stepping up their game," Carth told what was on everyone's minds. He looked at the two council women. "There's your evidence, ladies. I can't believe they would use some sort of Dark Side ability."
"I'm pretty sure that isn't some Dark Side ability," Jolee reminded the Republic Soldier.
"We can't stay here any longer." Percy spoke up. "We need to leave."
"Indeed." Bastila spoke in agreement. "With what had just happened, I'm certain that they'll send more."
"Are you intending to stop them?" Allura asked the obvious question.
Confidence filled the white-haired man's eyes. "You have my word."
That gave much needed answers from both Allura and Kima. The two women looked at one another before looking back at the group. "Then you are permitted to stop them. Make sure whatever they're planning should be prevented." She turned to look at the Jedi. "We will give you what you want as long as your group and assist Vox Machina."
"We intend to help them anyway." Canderous assured her. "After all, I have some score with Sylas."
"We will provide you with whatever you need." Kima said as she went to an area and got some gold and some other stuff, "From our travel days."
"Really!?" Scanlan said in excitement while the sound of gold clicking echoed in his mind as he and the others had at least a small sack of gold. "Oh man! This is so awesome! Just imagine what we can do–"
"They are only necessities for this mission. NOT for any degenerative intentions that you have." Bastila warned him darkly.
That seemed to take the Gnome by surprise. Still, he had to respect the Jedi's wish after what she had gone through. "Alright." He said while slumping his shoulders.
"Very well. You are all free to go back to your chambers. You all earned tonight's rest." Allura spoke.
The Twi'lek teen certainly agreed with this. She stretched her arms while yawning. "I can do that. After what happened with HK and this, I can certainly use some shut eye." Her Wookie friend made some noise, making her look at him. "I agree, Big Z. Let's go back to camp."
Vox Machina and Revan's group proceeded to leave the Throne room. As they did so, Allura looked at the mess that was made and wondered what was going to happen. "How are we going to explain this to King Uriel?"
Her girlfriend brushed the side of her hair. "We'll just tell him we had an unfortunate encounter with Wraiths. But for now, let's just call in some guards to clean up the mess. Hopefully, there were any guards who weren't knocked by that Aeromaton of theirs."
-Scene Change-
Morning came and the sun shines within Greyskull Keep. Percy, having packed everything he needed within his duffle bag, walked down the flight of stairs and then to the entrance of the keep. Before he could open it… "No goodbye?"
He didn't need to turn around as he immediately knew that his team was standing right behind him. "I'm going to Whitestone."
"And so are we!" Keylth proclaimed with confidence. "If we beat Sylas, his charm on Uriel will fade.
"Not to mention that some of us want to settle score with them." Now, he heard Carth's voice.
"Carth?" Percy spoke as he turned around. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with Revan and the others?"
Carth knew the other man would ask this question. Fortunately, he already had his answers. "Revan wanted me to get your group and come to our ship. He had a feeling that you're looking for a way to get into Whitestone and needed some transport. Don't worry, we're all with you."
"Indeed. But…" Vex spoke as she walked towards Percy before poking a finger at him. "But you have to promise us that there will no longer be more secrets, alright?" She turned to look at Carth. "And that also applies to you and your group. Remember, we're allies and we shouldn't keep anything hidden."
"Of course," The Republic Soldier said in agreement. "I always intended that."
Percy looked down at the floor. He took a moment to think about it before his eyes shifted back at the archer. "Understood. Thank you." He then looked at his other teammates. "All of you."
Right as they were about to leave, Carth almost forgot about something. He turned to look at Vex. "Oh, by the way, you may want to bring Tinket with you."
The Ranger raised an eyebrow upon hearing that."Why?"
The Republic Soldier just chuckled at her question. "Oh, you'll see. I'm sure you all will like it."
-Scene Change-
WHITESTONE CASTLE, WHITESTONE
"THOSE BARBARIANS! THOSE MAD MEN! DESTROYING THAT BOOK THAT IS IMPORTANT TO US!" Delilah raged as she walked around the Castle in fury.
She had received the news first thing in the morning as one of the surviving wraiths she sent told her,
She suspected Revan or any of his human companions to be such a thing. But as it turns out, he has an Aeromaton that refers to living beings as 'meatbags' and how much he revels in killing them.
Damnit, she should have assigned them to get the book right away. But it seemed her timing wasn't in her favour.
"Deliliah, dear," Sylas spoke as he approached her. "You shouldn't get angry at this. We were caught off guard."
"Off guard? That book had what we needed in order to bring our Master into this world." Delilah countered, "And thanks to that Aeromaton, our chances may be gone. He will punish us for this."
The vampire had a serious look on his face. "We shouldn't act reckless, dear. He has those powerful allies with their unique sword. I'm still recovering from the attacks that Revan inflicted on me. Also, didn't you see what he did?"
"Revan…" She said while hissing underneath her breath before she breathed in and exhaled. This calmed her down "I admit. I'venever expected him to hold such power. But it seemed all too familiar."
Her husband raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Delilah looked at him. "You felt it too, didn't you? His power felt as if it was…similar to our Master's?"
It was here that her husband understood what she was implying. "Ah, I see. He seems to be the key to bring our Master here."
"Indeed." Delilah spoke, a smirk forming on her lips. "Maybe he is the key to–"

To prove his point, he Force choked them both. He nearly strangled them to death before releasing them and they dropped onto the ground.
They both held their throat as they got up from the ground before they looked at their Master. "It…It will be done, my Lord." Delilah assured him.
Their Master didn't utter a word. Instead he looked at them with contempt before disappearing. Getting up, the two looked at one another before they had the look of confidence. "It looks like losing the book didn't hamper our progress after all, dear?"
A sinister smile loomed over them both. It looks like they are finally going to get an advantage against Revan when he comes here. Along with that De Rolo Pup…
Well, here it is. We're finally in the tense warzone.
Welcome to the Whitestone Arc.
We have many plans within that arc. It may be OOC. But it needs to fit in the characters' headspace.
Crimson Soldat: Man, writing Bastila's bit was something, especially after the events of the Light Side Ending of Knights of the Old Republic. Don't worry, we're going to put her in some tense moments.
jojobinks: as you can see, we're having fun with our dear friend HK-47. And he will have a whole lot of fun in Whitestone.
Word of warning, the next chapter is going to be…How do we put it? Not going to be light.
It will be so much drama, so much tension. It will make Downtown Abbey, Yellowjackets, The Rookie and all those other drama shows look like Saints compared to this.
But what do you overall think of this chapter so far?
If you want anything to be seen within this story, or any character interactions, please, feel free to put them down. It would be really interesting to see what you may have for this story.
With that said, we'll see ya all in the next chapter!
