Hey everyone! I'm back!

Shin

Shin felt her master's voice echo through the nightmares. She couldn't make out what he was saying.

But he was there, and that helped.

She watched as her childhood came back to her in a flurry of horrid memories.

Things she'd long shoved to the back of her mind.

Words echoed through her, echoed through her mind, her heart, her soul. Memories that she couldn't necessarily see anymore: they were just sound.

There was no picture.

Just darkness and sound.

"What's wrong with you?"
"Embrace it."
"Ignore it."
"Gift."
"Curse."
"Slave."
"Stupid girl."
"You think she was a slave or a prisoner to someone?"
"Come here, little slave."
"I can turn your apprentice."
"He's using you."
"Hmm. I'm honestly surprised she's fallen right back to your side after what you did to her."
"She always will."

Stop, Shin begged, please, please, please, stop.

Baylan's voice finally broke through the fog of nightmares and words she didn't want to hear.

I'm here, Shin.

I'll never leave you.

Just come back.

You're free.

She reached for the words, sobbing through her grip on them, finally re-reaching consciousness.

"Shin?" Baylan whispered.

"Master?" Shin replied, eyes wide and confused.

What.

Just.

Happened?

"Baylan," Ahsoka said softly, "we have to go now. We've already activated it—the power that goes on in there. Sabine is fine, and so is Shin. We have to go now," she repeated.

Shin was surprised to see Ahsoka kneeling next to her. Sabine was leaning against her, eyes barely open. Ezra was behind Sabine, his arms around her protectively.

"You…said…you wouldn't…leave me…" Shin murmured as Baylan slowly stood.

"I'm not leaving you. I'm staying with you in the only way I can—every time you use the Force, I am there by your side," he promised. Ahsoka followed, leaving Shin, Ezra, and Sabine sprawled across the ground.

"But…then…you…can't help…me…anymore…" Shin whispered.

"I can. The Force guides you, Shin," he promised. Shin nodded and grabbed his hand.

Goodbye, little wolf. Keep chasing the moon, Shin Hati, he transmitted.

Goodbye, Master. Keep chasing the sun, Baylan Skoll.

He and Ahsoka turned, walking into the temple. This time, when they entered past a few feet, the force field became solid, a rippling solid wall.

No one could come out, and no one could come in.

She watched Ahsoka and Baylan walk towards a shimmering orb in the center of the room, both touching it.

She knew that would be the last time she'd see her master.

More tomorrow!
