Chapter 39- Under Attack

8:30 PM
Mario and Twilight shook at the sight of the dead bodies of Cyborg, Beast Boy and Terra.
"I-I can't take this anymore, Mario. We should leave." said Twilight, trembling
"I agree. It's far too grim." said MTSP
Twilight uses the magic from her horn. She teleports her and Mario out of there.
Equestria
MTSP & Twilight's Castle
9:00 PM
Mario and Twilight appear back at their castle.
Mario hops into his bedroom with Twilight following him. His cat Mouster is on top of the bed, purring while his dog, Wolfshocker, is barking like crazy.
The prince is petting Mouster. He also lets Wolfshocker lick his hand.
"Yes, cuties. I'm home." said MTSP
Twilight yawns.
"Well. It's off to bed I guess. We have a big mission on our hands. Goodnight." said Twilight
Twilight kisses Mario on the cheek and passes out
The prince yawns as well.
"Goodnight, princess." said MTSP
He shuts his eyes and goes to sleep.

Meanwhile, on a far away, rock mountain across space, the Dragon Emperor Demise is fully seen, for the first time.
A long, black haired girl with blue highlights in her hair, golden yellow eyes, a blue symbol on her chest, and a golden bodysuit grins.
"I'll make sure I mind control everyone on Earth and even Equestrion. They will be forced to do our bidding. If they don't like it, too bad. I'll make sure every living thing bows down to me." said DED
"Good idea, Uncle Demise." she said, "And also, I would also like to kill everyone who stands in our way. Even that Prince of Equestria. He has defied us for far too long. He will have no choice but to surrender to us."
Demise grins and strokes his chin.
"Yes.." said Demise, "You are a genius, Shion. Excellent plan." he said
Demise suddenly has a vision in his head of MTSP and Twilight falling asleep next to each other.
He smirks. A creepy grin is plastered on his face.
"Sleep tight, little prince. Enjoy what you have now because it won't last much longer. I will be rising soon, and you will have no choice." Demise said
He chuckles.

Two months later
February 22, 2021
3:00 AM
Mario is snoring, and drooling all over the bed sheets. Twilight is sleeping on his chest.
A booming voice then calls out to him. The voice yells it out to wake the prince up.
"Mario!"
The prince jumps. He wakes up and yawns.
"Ugh. I am trying to sleep for a few more hou-WAIT?! WHAT WAS THAT?!" yelled out Mario
Suddenly, the voice seems to be that of Shadow Doll. The Shadow Doll. The same god who took the form of a stuffed animal of Shadow the Hedgehog. The one who gave him and Blackbiter Flynn their super powered forms back in Chapter 8.
He is actually the god of concealment. Xero.
However, Xero AKA Shadow Doll, then takes the form of Tony Rodriguz. The biological father of Mario The Sonic Plush.
"Tony? Dad? Is that you? Hold on. I am confused as to what you are doing here." said Mario
Xero, who is in the form of Tony, speaks in Tony's voice.
"Mario. You must go alone." said Xero
"What? Why must I go alone? You aren't making any sense." said Mario
"It is a little quest only you can do alone." said Xero
By thist point, Mario figures out that this isn't really his dad but rather a projection of him created by "Shadow Doll ''.
The prince scratches his chin. He is dissapointed.
"Oh. Awww. I can't bring Twilight or even Rarity with me. This sucks." said Mario
Xero then drops the act, and just speaks in his normal, booming voice.
"Yes, but it's necessary." said Xero
"What's in it for me?" asked the prince
"The Dragon Emperor Demise is rising again. He wants to use mind control, to take over every human on Earth and every magical creature right in Equestria. He also wants you to join him, now that he is finished with controlling Tony. He already has gotten his grips on your twin brother, now he wants you. The Prince of Equestria. You must try to find him, before it's too late, and he rises."
"Oh. Dear Celestia. This is horrible. First, Slade plans to screw over us now I am hearing that the Dragon Emperor Demise is rising again? Wow. HOLY CRAP. Did you say Nezeric? Nezeric is still ALIVE?!" Mario said, in shock upon hearing this news.
"Last time I checked, yes, Nezeric is alive. Unfortunately, he has been possessed by him too, like I said." he said
The prince groans, in frustration
"I must go. Good luck, Prince."
Mario gets a glimpse of Xero's true from, right before Xero fades away. The shadowy head of a deformed Umbran. Unfortunately, he couldn't see his face nor his full body up close, as he is covered in a silhouette.
Xero lets out a smirk.
"WAIT! Come back! Tell me where Demise is. Ugh…" Mario said
Xero vanishes.
He passes out, and falls asleep. Apparently, Twilight stayed asleep all throughout this encounter.

10:00 AM
"So, let me get this straight. Not only are we dealing with Slade but the Dragon Emperor Demise rising as well? And this "Shadow Doll" guy wants you to go on the mini quest to find him alone?!" exclaimed Twilight, in shock
"Yes. Unfortunately. I must go to find Dragon Emperor Demise and bring the honor that was lost within the Rodriguz bloodline." said Mario
MTSP is petting Mouster and Wolfshocker.
Mario kisses Twilight on the cheek.
"Take care of the pets for me." he said, "And don't worry. I'll be back in no time."
Twilight nods.
"I know you can do this." said Twilight
MTSP smirks.
Twilight starts to tear up.
"I'll miss you, Mario. Please. Be careful." she said
Twilight hugs Mario
They kiss each other on the lips for a second, then stop.
"I will not. Do not worry about me." he said
The prince heads out of the door.
"Bye Twilight. Bye Mouster. Bye Wolfshocker. I'll see you later." said MTSP
Twilight blows a kiss and waves.

Mario got out of the castle. He starts to walk all over the streets. He keeps entering Ponyville.
The prince then sees a bunch of half ponies walking all over.
He goes to ask a few of them.
"Hey! Have any of you seen a dark power? A strange glowing entity around here somewhere?" he asked.
"No!"
Mario nods.
A few hours have passed. He kept walking all over Equestria. Even all the way to Manehattan, which is the Equestrian version of Manhattan, New York.
There is still no trace of Demise in Equestria.
"Ugh. I guess the Demise is not in Equestria after all." he said
The prince scratches his chin. He thinks of one possible location Demise could be.
"But wait. He could be on EARTH?! OH NO! I am not visiting that hellish planet again for any other reason. Looks like though, I have no choice. I must face this cursed planet. Even if it means that Demise is there to be brought to justice." Mario thought
Suddenly, Discord shows up in front of Mario.
"Oh. Prince Mario. How lovely is it to see you again? All alone? Where's Twilight?" asked Discord
"Yeah um. Can you please snap your fingers and teleport me to Earth? I have to find Demise and redeem the Rodriguz family name. Also, I have to do this alone, without Twilight." explained the Prince
"Sure. Not a problem. So, there's multiple countries on the Planet Earth. You want to go to New York in the United States? Your hometown?" asked Discord
"Sure. It's the area I grew up in anyways and I know it by heart. Demise might be there." said MTSP
Discord snaps his fingers. He teleports himself and Mario to Earth.
Earth
United States. Podeneck, NY
Mario arrives back in his hometown on Earth.
"Here we are. The planet Earth. This is your hometown. Enjoy it there for a while." Discord said
"Thank you, Discord." said Mario
Discord then teleports back to Equestria.
"Now, I just have to find Demise." he said

Mario's stomach rumbles. "Jeez. I'm hungry. Where to go?" he says, sweating due to running across the earth. He then spots an ice cream parlor near his Mom's house. "I'll go there to cool off a bit."
Unfortunately for our hero, the parlor is under attack by an insane menace, none other than Slade. Slade is currently terrorizing an elderly grandma, edging closer to 95 years old. She doesn't even know who the Teen Titans are, but somehow Slade believes it in his warp and twisted mind.
Slade has already killed five people inside the restaurant, and has taken the rest of them hostage. The manager is unable to call the cops, because Slade launched an EMP that has knocked out all communications in a one mile radius. Slade demands to know where the Titans are and if they do not comply, they will all be killed.
Mario would step through the door, only to find a shocking situation. Zeke was already here, but now it looks like he'll become another victim.
"Leave HER alone! What did SHE do?" Zeke yelled at Slade.
Slade doesn't respond. He chuckles coldly. He tosses her out the window in a disgusting and brutal manner. Mario and Zeke gasp.
"S-Stop it! We-we don't know who these Titans are! You're insane! You're such a freak!" A businessman in his mid-40s shouted.
Slade turns around, looks at him. "Liars are pathetic."
"Huh?" The businessman was confused.
Slade throws a small disc into the mans chest. Then he grabs him and tosses him out the same window where he threw the elderly lady. A few seconds later, he explodes, and sends a car spiraling out of control. Slade adds 2 to his total of seven casualties. The police are unable to respond because they have no idea what is happening due to the communications blackout.
Zeke gets angry. So angry in fact, he proceeds to rush toward Slade. This is a bad idea. Slade pimp slaps Zeke, knocking him down hard to the floor. He then grabs Zeke by his long ears and cocks his head back. "You look like you know where the Titans are. So tell me…."
"WHERE ARE THEY?!" he shouts at poor Zeke.
"I-I don't know, I DON'T! WHY are you doing this? WHY?" Zeke screams in such disbelief.
Slade takes out a sharp blade and points it at Zeke's neck. "I believe you know."
But while Slade isn't looking, a man proceeds to attack Slade with a chair. He turns around and kicks the man in the stomach, sending him flying. Zeke is able to break free of his grip, disarming him. He pins him to the floor. But Slade gets up and tasers Zeke.
Slade then sees a little boy with a wristwatch standing near Zeke. Slade does an intimidating little chuckle. The boy is fearful for his life. He slowly walks up to him with nothing but a cold, grim stare. He stops walking, and stares down at the boy. He sharpens his blade. He is ready to strike the boy. He doesn't care for emotion at all, he just wants to take out his anger on everyone. But…
"Alright," Mario says, "I've seen enough!" and he gets the boy out of the way so he can face Slade head on.
Mario musters up enough courage to fight the menace known as Slade. He summons a powerful blast attack directly at Slade's chest, only for him to suddenly vanish without a trace.
"What a coward." Mario says, shaking his head. He looks down and picks up the little boy. "Are you okay?" He asks.
"I'm alright." The boy replies.
Mario strokes his chin.
He carries himself and the boy out of the Ice Cream parlor. Zeke follows them behind.
Mario screams out to everyone alive who is still inside.
"EVERYONE! EVACUATE! That includes everyone alive. The customers and employees! I am the Prince of Equestria, and I say, RUN OUT OF HERE!" yelled out the prince
Everyone rushes out of the parlor. The employees too. Even the manager and the customers.
As soon as everyone makes it out, one of the employees shuts down the doors, and locks them with a key.
The prince looks at the boy to see if he has any bruises but luckily, the boy only has one on his knee which is a small one.
"I apologize for asking but, what's your name, kid?" asked MTSP
"My name? Uh. The name is Kel. Kel Saki." said the boy
The boy, named Kel, extends his hand out to Mario.
"Well, Kel. It's nice to meet you. I am Mario The Sonic Plush." said MTSP, introducing himself to Kel
Kel smiles.
"Wow! You and that other guy are just like comic book superheroes! You basically saved everyone there." Kel said, obviously starstruck, "Thank you so much for saving me and more."
"No problem, kid." said the prince
Mario chuckles.
"He has no idea. I am basically kind of already a superhero, one from Equestria in fact." thought MTSP
"Well, I will offer you support. You will be my new friend." said MTSP, "It will be a sign of a new friendship between us."
Kel is shocked, but then he smiles back.
"R-really?" Kel said, in shock
"Ya. What do ya say, pal?" asked Mario
"Sure." said Kel
Mario extends his hand out back to Kel. The two shake hands.
They pull back away from each other.
Kel's appearance then strikes some familiarity within the prince. Mario then flashes back to an image of George, the prince's step-dad and his mom's fiance'. Kel's dark, jet black hair, and his light skin both remind him of George. His smile as well.
Only difference is that George had longer hair when the Prince first met him before he decided to cut it short.
"Hey, kid. You do look familiar. Probably someone I know." said Mario
"Oh." said Kel
"Ya." said MTSP
Zeke then looks at both Mario and Kel.
"Yo." said Zeke
"Hmm?" replied Mario.
"Yeah?" said Kel.
"What's up?" Zeke asks Mario and Kel.
"I'm doing fine." Mario says.
"Yeah, me too." Kel replies. "Actually, Mr. Umbreon, I think you are pretty cool."
"Mr. Umbreon?" said Zeke.
Kel laughs. "Yeah, you're a Pokemon, aren't you?"
"I'm not a Pokemon." replied Zeke, groaning.
"Then who are you then?" Kel asked him.
"My name is Zeke. Not Mr. Umbreon. I am an Umbran named Zeke."
"Oh…well Zeke, you were awesome back there." said Kel.
"Uh, thank you." Zeke says, smiling a bit.
"No problem."
Zeke looks at Mario. "Uh, Mario, can I ask you something? Or, tell you something atleast?"
"Sure, go ahead." Mario replies.
"I would like to join you on the adventure. I think we can be a great team."
"I don't think so, Zeke. I can only do this alone." replied Mario.
"That's such a bummer. I think you should reconsider, though. I really wanna help you." said Zeke, hoping to get Mario to change his mind.
"Let me think about it…." said Mario, stroking his chin. "Alright, fine. I guess you can come with me, then."
"YAY!" Zeke jumps for joy.
"Can I come too, pretty please?" asked Kel.
"Unfortunately, no. You should go home. Your parents are worried about you." Mario responds to Kel.
"Aww."
"Well, Mario, let's head off." Zeke says, looking at him. Mario nods. The two go off on the adventure to find Demise, while Kel returns home. Or is he? He instead follows the two without them noticing.
Meanwhile
Kit, Brian Johnson, Mac and Bloo are at a wrestling arena. Kit wants to become a professional fighter in the UFC, so he'll need to train alot and maintain his composure against the heavyweights. Kit shows off his moves to his friends, hoping to use them to defeat Sean Brady, his first matchup.
"Go Kit!" Brian Johnson says.
"YEAH!" Mac and Bloo shout.
Sean Brady steps into the ring, and looks at Kit. "A new challenger? Looks like it'll be a free win for me." he says chuckling.
"I am well prepared enough to take you down, Sean." Kit responds with a cold tone. "Don't think that just because I started, doesn't mean I could be easily beaten."
Sean's face turns into a serious one. "Is that so, fox boy?"
Kit nods, and taunts his opponent with a sinister grin.
"I love a good challenge. I hope you know I won't be going easy on you, kid." Sean says, staring down at Kit.
"Neither will I."
The referee explains the rules to Kit and Sean before the bell could ring to indicate the start of the matchup. Kit and Sean stare down eachother. They put up their hands and proceed to throw jabs, swings, and kicks at eachother. It seems evenly matched even though Kit is a rookie. The crowd is cheering, and Kit's friends are giving him tons of motivation from the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Tirek begins grabbing one of the humans, and proceeds to choke him. He roars in an evil laughter. The human is begging for mercy.
MTSP and Zeke notice Kel, who was following them the whole time. "Kel! What do you think you're doing? It's too dangerous! Go back home!" MTSP scolds Kel.
"Excuse me? I can handle myself just fine. I don't need your–"
The three suddenly bump into Tirek, who is still choking the poor human.
"Oh my Umbran gods…" Zeke mutters.
"HEY! Let him go, Tirek!" MTSP shouts.
"Or else WHAT?" Tirek replies in a sinister, evil tone.
"Or this happens!" MTSP says as he sends a flying karate kick to Tirek's head, forcing him to let go.
"Why you little!" growls an angry Tirek.
Zeke checks up on the man, but when the man looks up at Zeke, he runs away. Zeke scratches his head.
Tirek roars. "All three of you shall die on this spot!" he says as he draws a dark flaming sword and points it at them.
"Hey!" Zeke shouts back at him. "That's no way to treat the son of Xero!"
Tirek looks at him unamused. "This thing is quite an embarrassment," he thought.
Tirek stares at the prince, who is right beside Zeke and Kel.
"So. We finally meet again for the second time, Prince of Equestria. It's amazing how you, the Princess of Friendship and your pathetic little friends thought you were able to get rid of me so easily." Tirek said, with a smirk, "I see you brought two more new buddies with you. They look just as pathetic."
Mario just stares at Tirek, in confusion.
"How are you even here? I thought that when we defeated you, you were locked in so hard in Tartarus that you were unable to escape ever again and die alone from starvation. How did you escape and how were you able to come to Earth?" asked Mario, "What is even going on?!"
Kel looks at MTSP.
"You know this ugly monster?" asked Kel
Mario nods.
"Sadly, yes." he said, "He is one of my greatest sworn enemies. Lord Tirek."
Zeke growls.
"I don't like the sound of this guy.." Zeke said
