Transformers One: Siren Chapter 6
The five of them need to leave now or else the main mission to reclaim power from Sentinel will be in mortal peril.
The sanctity of the tomb is disturbed by those trying to break in from outside.
"It's got to be Sentinel's men," said Siren. "The Quintessons would have no reason to come in here."
"Oh, yes," growled D-16, punching a fist into his palm in eager anticipation. "Time to fight back."
"No, you must return to Iacon City and alert everyone," said Alpha Trion, quickly devising a strategy on what they need to do. Using his magic, Alpha Trion transferred all the memories he had of the betrayal down to the last detail into the beacon they'd used to find him for safekeeping. "Embedded in this are the records I have shown you. Use it to reveal the truth."
"We will," promised Orion, steadfastly.
Taking them to a different tunnel at the far back of the cave, Alpha Trion said "This tunnel leads to the mountains. Cybertron's future is in your hands."
Another quake even more aggressive than the first one rocks the cave.
"We're out of time. We got to move," said Elita-1.
D-16, Elita-1, and B-127 run ahead.
Siren lags behind, waiting for Orion.
Reluctant to leave Alpha Trion behind to face the enemy alone, Orion said "Wait, wait. We can't just leave you here."
Ultimately it is Alpha Trion's choice. A choice that the ancient has already made.
"Your fight will come, my friend. Primus has a purpose for us all. But this fight…This fight is mine. Now go," ushered Alpha Trion.
Pulling him by the wrist, Siren said "Orion, come on."
Orion has no choice.
Giving one last farewell nod in compliance at Alpha Trion, Orion runs off with Siren.
As the five of them run through the tunnel, they can hear intense sounds of engaged combat behind them, Alpha Trion hindering the enemy for as long as he can so they can run away.
Ignoring his instincts telling him to go back and help Alpha Trion, Orion said "We need to hurry."
Stubbornly, D-16 argued, "I still think we have better odds fighting than outrunning them."
A lightbulb going off in her head, Elita-1 said "Wait. We have cogs. We can transform now."
"That's right," said Orion. "Everyone ready?"
Confidently, Elita-1 said "I was born ready."
"On three then," suggested Siren.
Counting down, Orion said "One. Two-."
All five of them emit screams as they suddenly plummet. They'd made it outside the tunnel but hadn't been paying attention to where they were stepping and fell down the side of the mountain.
Unfortunately, their voices attracted the attention of four seekers acting as sentries.
The jets began to fire at them in earnest.
What's hampering them from making a quicker getaway is multiple problems with transforming into alternate vehicular modes for the first time.
All the five of them need to do is transform and their chances of survival go up exponentially.
The problem is none of them have ever done it before.
Patting his chest for emphasis, D-16 said "How do we use these things."
"I don't know. Just try," said Orion, grunting as he wills his body to morph at his will. "It's working! It's working!"
No, it's not.
The only thing that occurs is Orion's head retracting into his body as further attacks are beset upon them.
Running blind, Orion said "My head! My head! Help!"
Would've been humorous if the situation wasn't so dire.
The others tried their own attempts.
The only thing D-16 transformed was one of his legs, causing him to hop and move even slower.
Elita-1 brought out wheels but that made her skid in multiple different directions as she lost footing and control from the wheels.
B-127 comes closer. He actually shifts most of his body into his vehicular mode, a flashy yellow Corvette, but he fails to make the wheels he requires to move to emerge, so he has to rush himself along on his arms.
Orion manages to return his head to its proper place but that's all.
Unknowingly, Siren is the one who would be successful.
Siren even surprises herself when it comes naturally to her, even while dodging shots left and right and fluidly jumping over obstacles.
Picturing what she wants to happen in her mind and sending the message down to the rest of her body, Siren transforms for the first time ever.
It shifts and morphs until Siren's body is transformed into her destined vehicular mode.
A slim, sleek, and elegant Porsche 911.
As soon as Siren's new wheels hit the dirt, she immediately burns rubber and barrels ahead of everyone else.
"What," exclaimed D-16.
"Siren, how did you do that," called Orion.
"It's mind over matter. I pictured what I wanted to happen in my head and passed it on to the rest of my body," answered Siren, weaving this way and that through rocks, trees, bushes, and roots.
It's now or never for the other four to test this theory as the three of the four seekers land in front of them, guns pointed directly at the group.
Following Siren's advice, Orion, D-16, and Elita-1 jump off a root and transform.
This time it works.
Elita-1 turns into a motorcycle, Orion is a semi-truck, and D-16 is a military tank.
D-16, Elita-1, and Orion slam into three of the four seekers, taking them out.
Bumblebee faceplants into the dirt. Only then do his wheels finally pop out from the impact.
By all appearances, it seems the enemy pursuing them has been taken out and given the slip.
Siren, Elita-1, B-127, and Orion all wholeheartedly took advantage of the lull to celebrate their accomplishment, transforming back to their bipedal modes. Their new bodies have proven to be very resilient, having taken very little damage from this brief yet intense skirmish.
"Oh, wow. We're alive!"
"That was incredible!"
"Did you see me slide?"
"I had no idea how great that would be!"
During this, all of them were unaware that the fourth seeker guard was still on his feet. He took aim at them and was ready to attack when D-16 intervened.
In his tank form, D-16 made a killing shot that took the seeker guard out instantly.
Transforming, laughing in exhilaration, D-16 said "Yes!"
"D…that was really violent," said Siren.
"He was going to shoot you," said D-16, defending his actions.
"Hey, whoa, buddy. Are you okay," asked Orion.
"I'm great. Are you kidding me? We can transform. We transformed," shouted D-16.
Chuckling, Orion said "Oh, wait. I know."
"We're wasting time. We have to get back to Iacon," said D-16, setting them back on track, and patting Orion on the back.
Activating the map, Orion said "Looks like the fasted way back to Iacon-," said Orion.
"Here, I got that," said D-16, claiming it from him.
"Whoa, hey, what are you doing," said Orion.
"Don't worry about it," reassured D-16. "I got it."
"Yeah, but be careful," cautioned Orion. "Our proof is inside and you're spilling it everywhere."
"I said I got it," said D-16, irritably, an unreadable expression on his face.
Siren quietly inhales, stiffening, observing this with wide eyes.
Conceding to D-16, a touch uncertain, frowning, Orion said "Okay."
Satisfied that Orion will now lay off his case, activating the map Alpha Trion gave them, D-16 said, "Follow me."
D-16 takes the lead, heading deeper into the mountains and the forest growing out of it.
B-127 and Elita-1 hesitantly look to Orion for direction. Only when he gives an affirming nod do those two follow after D-16.
Siren follows a bit slower, badly shaken by what D-16 did to that guard and how he acted toward Orion.
D-16s never acted this way toward either of them before. Not once.
"He's fine," murmured Orion, wrapping an arm around Siren and bringing her in close as he caught onto her half-hearted steps. "D's gonna be fine."
A deeply unsettled and sullen Siren somehow doesn't feel any better. She's not so sure anymore about how hurtful D-16 is starting to be with his behavior change.
What's happening to him?
Authors Note:
Okay, so I finally decided on a Porsche 911 for a vehicular mode. Let's be real. That car is a fine piece of work and mechanical genius from whoever made it and suits our girl perfectly!
What weapons do you think Siren should have?
I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D

Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.
So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
I know I am. ;) See you guys next time.
