Transformers One: Siren Chapter 10

Siren is devastated by what just transpired. There are no words to describe the inner turmoil in her spark.

The damage was done. Irreversible damage that cannot be undone.

So severely traumatized by what was done to her, Siren has gone completely numb. Her eyes are dull and vacant as the impact of what was just done to her fully registers.

Siren's voice…it's gone. Her ability to sing has forever been torn from her by Sentinel's very own hands.

Degraded, humiliated, ruined, and utterly destroyed, Siren immediately feels an empty void inside without her cherished voice.

All Siren's hopes and dreams are gone, stolen from her forever through one act of unforgivable, baseless, and unwarranted cruelty.

An innocent that is untainted, the purest of hearts, Siren is the most undeserving of any travesties like this.

After Sentinel was through with Siren, he left her lying there on the floor. He saw no need to return her bindings. The fight had completely left her.

Arachnid was left standing over Siren, satisfied to have nipped a potential rival in the bud.

B-127 is in shock. There aren't any words to describe how helpless and useless he feels. Two of his new friends have just been brutally tortured and he wasn't able to do anything to protect them.

It's even worse for D-16.

The whole time Sentinel had been pulling Siren's voice box out by force, D-16 had kept his hand around Siren's. In order for her to know that she wasn't alone, that he was there.

A hell of a lot of good that did.

Still, when Sentinel finally released Siren, D-16 pulled himself the rest of the way over to her.

Gently cupping the back of her neck and turning Siren's head toward him, softly, D-16 said "Siren? Siren, talk to me. Siren?"

But Siren didn't respond, it was like she couldn't even see him.

Not bothering to hide his enjoyment, holding Siren's voice box in the palm of his hand, speaking with fake sympathy, Sentinel taunted "What a waste. You really did have a bright future, Siren."

Sentinel then crushes Siren's voice box.

But it wouldn't have mattered anyhow if it was intact. When Sentinel had torn it from her, he wrecked her vocal systems so badly that even if a replacement voice box could be found it wouldn't calibrate with her systems.

This cannot be fixed.

This draws a reaction from Siren and makes her even more distraught. Burying her face in her arms, Siren tearfully releases silent sobs with her body shaking.

That is the final straw for D-16. Seeing Siren messed with so heartlessly like this has pushed him off the deep end.

The permanent loss of Siren's voice has left D-16 unhinged and unstable, fit to burst with fury that has yet to be unleashed.

Sentinel will feel all of it when he meets his end which D-16 is now determined to be at his hands.

Gently stroking and placing a kiss on Siren's head to comfort her, D-16 slowly rises to his feet again.

Shaking his head, Sentinel said "Not a good idea."

Not wanting D-16 to die like this or endure any more suffering like Siren, B-127 said "D, stay down."

But D-16 doesn't listen to any of them. Siren's callous mistreatment has erased all traces of common sense in D-16.

D-16 rises to his full height, head raised proudly, and glaring in hateful defiance at Sentinel.

"Well, that's a shame," said Sentinel, shifting his arm into a cannon and aiming at D-16's spark. "You really were a good miner and don't worry. I'll make sure Siren is well looked after when you're gone."

D-16 shows absolutely no fear, facing death in the face.

And just when Sentinel is about to pull the trigger…

"We have a breach," exclaimed Arachnid, alarmed.

Arachnid's multiple eyes catch a major breach in their security. One of the energon trains has been highjacked and is heading their way at full speed.

Orion!

Originally this was supposed to be longer, but I wanted to get the next chapter out to you guys as soon as I could.

Only 2 more left! Can you believe how fast we made it through this?!

I believe I owe you all an explanation. I know Siren losing her voice must be a shock to a lot of you. I've actually had this in mind ever since the idea for this story first hit me. It broke my heart, and no matter how badly I wanted to turn down a different course of action, I just kept coming back. I could not escape. It just fits. Simple as that.

I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D

I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.

So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
