I eventually left our lunch. Letting Lucas know he could reach out to me anytime.
When I let Lucas go all those years ago. And saw him and Peyton together.
I thought it was destiny beyond my control. I felt in the way.
So for her to end up engaged to Lucas and to throw it away.
It lacked understanding and belief. To me.
I got home and took out my red journal.
What if I still had feelings for him.
An ache in my chest?
Lucas Scott was the one boy I would of lost it for.
Me and Lucas were close friends now.
That had to be enough. Peyton was my best friend afterall.

As Lucas stepped back in the dating world. Nothing but casual dates so far.
Lucas got various alerts about Brooke and some guy she had been seen with alot lately.
Lucas was taken off guard by the growing consuming feeling he felt building.
(If Brooke was going to date anyone it was supposed to be me.) Lucas proclaimed
