Ministry of Ancient Sorcerous Empire Countermeasures, San Redentore District
Fiolina twirled the briefcase and opened it to show Robin. The astonished expression that adorned the bespectacled woman's face is the same as when Fiolina's boss showed its contents to her last night.
"What is this...?"
Robin's head was filled with question marks. Looking at each other, Meteos and Walman approached their teacher from behind to take a better look.
"What is it, Miss Robin?"
Inside the case is an unfamiliar device with what looked like three large coins in three different colors engraved with the likeness of different animals: one red-colored coin with a hawk engraving, one yellow-colored with a tiger engraving, and one green-colored with a grasshopper engraving. Gesturing to the device, Fiolina explained to the stunned trio.
"This is the culmination of the Aikon Corporation's research in magic technology, the OOO Driver. In the distant past, an ancient human king who was just as greedy as the Ancient Sorcerous Empire and the Dragon Gods ordered his alchemists to find means to create artificial life, then draw their power in order to make him a god. Our archaeology division managed to uncover three of these things, which we call Core Medals, and constructed this driver to harness its power. Currently our alchemy division is attempting to replicate these Core Medals, and in the end, we wanted to harness its power for good."
"Since when the Aikon Corporation specialized in archaeology and alchemy?" Walman scratched his head.
"Why show it to us, then?"
"It is a gamble from Lord Legendorga. We've discovered that these Core Medals resonated with desire, and you, Professor, your desire to eliminate chanting from the usage of magic, our birthright, and set it free, is considered powerful enough to use the Core Medals effectively."
Reaching for the device with bewilderment, Robin asked, "Okay, how do I use this?"
"Put it on your waist to start the activation procedure."
Doing as she was told, Robin placed the OOO Driver on her waist. Then, with a loud sound, a belt suddenly snaked itself around her, followed by a disc-like device that materialized on the right side of the belt.
"Whoa!"
Meanwhile, Fiolina pulled out a green-colored can from her pocket.
"This magic tool contains a dummy that will be your sparring partner. Here goes!"
She threw the can to the middle of the field with all of her might. When the can struck the ground, it exploded into a green smoke that revealed a mantis humanoid monster.
"Since when the Aikon Corporation can do that!?"
Robin felt an amused grin form on her face, "Okay, how do I do this?"
"Slide these three medals in here," she said, pointing to the three slots on the device's central panel, "It will give you the power to do it, to transform."
Robin picked up the offered medals without hesitation and turned to face the monster, "Transform...? I don't really know what happened, but... I am tired of running away from monsters all the time. This time, even if it's just a fake... I will exterminate that monster!"
She tossed the red medal into the air and inserted the other two on the device, followed by the red medal she had caught. After that, she tilted the device.
"Now use that disc on your side to scan the device!"
Picking up the said object, Robin proceeded to scan the belt with it.
"Transform."
TAKA!
TORA!
BATTA!
TA-TO-BA! TATOBA, TA-TO-BA!
Three projections of rings appeared and rotated around Robin's person, transforming her into a black armored warrior with a red eagle-patterned head, a yellow torso bearing the motif of a tiger, and green grasshopper legs.
"She transformed..."
"Since when—never mind, I'll just watch."
"Yes, just as I'd hoped," Fiolina smiled.
Checking her transformed form, Robin muttered in awe.
"What was that song just now!? Taka, Tora, Batta, this thing? What does that even mean? Should it be Hawk, Tiger, and Grasshopper instead!?"
"Don't worry about the song! That form is called OOO, you'll understand how powerful it is once you fight!" Fiolina called out. "Activating Sparring Program, dummy, attack!"
"Eh?"
When she turned to look forward, OOO watched as the mantis monster leaped towards her, trying to slash at her with its arm-blades. Instinctively, OOO brought her arms just as the tiger markings on her torso glowed with a loud growl, flipping the Toraclaws on her right hand which OOO used to attack the monster.
"Whoa... power's flooding through my body!"
Now, as the green markings glowed, OOO jumped, launching a series of kicks at the monster, staggering it. The monster got up and tried to fight back, but OOO skillfully parried each blow and countered with her own.
"Now, scan the belt once again to activate an even greater power and destroy the enemy!"
Following Fiolina's instructions, OOO scanned the belt once again with the O Scanner.
SCANNING CHARGE!
After jumping high up into the air, OOO descended through three projections of rings in the armored warrior's colors. With each passing, her power increased until her drop kick exploded on the monster, destroying it. Unexpectedly for OOO, the defeated monster burst into medals that showered her surroundings.
"So... that guy was made of medals...?" OOO wondered.
"Miss Robin...!" Meteos' voice suddenly called, causing her to turn in his direction...

"...bin! Miss Robin, wake up!"
The brown-haired researcher felt someone shake her shoulders roughly, awakening her from her nap.
"W-what happened?" she asked groggily, finding the person next to her to be one of her students, Meteos.
"You fell asleep in the warehouse after we finished testing the Manadriver. I know you are tired, but it's not good to sleep in this place."
With a groan, Robin stood up and thanked Meteos for waking her up.
"It feels like I've just awakened from an extremely weird dream..." she muttered, trying to recall her dream but to no avail. Giving up, she shrugged. All the others were already getting ready to go home.
