12:19 P.M. – Dearly Beloved Memorial Hospital
Three Months Ago

Nick was met with a rather interesting sight when he entered Sarina's room this time around. Sarina was leaning back in her hospital bed, with headphones over her ears, and was weaving back and forth while listening to a song on her phone.

Given that she hadn't heard him come in because of that, Nick waved to get Sarina's attention, and she quickly put her song on pause so she could greet Nick.

"S-Sorry about that," Sarina chuckled. "I guess I got a little too into it..."

"It sounds like it's a really good song," Nick quipped.

"I've been a really big fan of this particular band for a long time, way before my condition got worse," Sarina answered. "I'll admit, the big reason I like a lot of their songs is because they gave me some hope when things weren't looking too bright..."

"Well, how about you tell me a little bit about them?" Nick asked. "They sound like they're pretty cool."

And so, Sarina launched into a rather thorough and detailed explanation about B-Komachi, the band in question. Nick simply sat by Sarina and absorbed all of the knowledge she was imparting onto him.

One thing that Nick had noticed was that Sarina had been a lot happier recently, according to her attending doctors. And he wondered how much of that was because of him.

But despite everything, Nick was still worried that her condition was going to get the last laugh at some point.

Nick mentally slapped himself, telling himself not to go down that train of thought and just stick to his promise to keep Sarina as happy as she could be.

After all, he knew better than most how cruel fate could really be.

Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger are proud to present:
Totally Spies: The New Adventures
Episode 130: The Nebulous Narcissistic Nanny
Story Rated: T for Teen
Story Created: April 4th, 2025

Story Summary: The one-hundred and seventy-fourth co-op project between Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger, and episode one hundred thirty of our mission-based series Totally Spies: The New Adventures. Myrna Beesbottom is still trying to force people to get nannies, but this time, she's not going after the spies, but their families! Myrna is now attempting to brainwash parents into believing their children need nannies no matter how old they are, but this particular caper has a bit of a crinkle, as not only are Gabby, Carmen and Stella affected in Europe, but May's parents have also been brainwashed in Tachikawa thanks to Myrna's partner Helga von Guggen. The spies will have to split into two teams in order to neutralize this problem as quickly as possible, but do Helga and Myrna have an even more heinous plan in mind for all of the brainwashed parents?

Author's Notes from Mat49324: We're heading forward through season 11 and hitting the midway point of that season. It's hard to believe it's gotten to the middle already when it seemed like we just started it. Anyway, we hope you enjoyed the last project, The Creepy Jeepers Peepers, and you will enjoy this one, too. Anyway, I sure hope you stay tuned for one project I had thought up that will come towards the end of the season; we've titled it The Wild Wave Chaser, but that won't come for the time being. Anyway, here's The Blue Time Ranger for anything he'd like to say.

Author's Notes from The Blue Time Ranger: Season eleven continues to roll on, and we've got a bit of an interesting one this time around, considering we haven't seen Gabby, Carmen and Stella for a long time in The New Adventures. And how fitting that they're a part of the first L.A.M.O.S. scheme of this season. Since we're also going to Tachikawa, we may see the Jellyfish Pirates help out on that side of the caper. We'll see when we get there, though. All right, then, shall we bonk a 'nanny'? ROLL IT!

And Now, the Obligatory Disclaimer: Mat49324 and The Blue Time Ranger do not own anything related to Totally Spies or any of its affiliations. Act 1: Split Fiction

7:37 A.M. – The Spies' Beach House

Nozomi walked into the kitchen, having caught the scent of pancakes once again, and she couldn't help but smile at the sight of Nick hard at work.

"Well, well, you're finally learning how to cook," Nozomi teased.

"Hey, I don't care what mom and dad said, cooking is not as easy as they made it look," Nick quipped. "But I figured it's finally time I got off my duff and started learning how to cook more things. I won't let Mat surpass me in that regard."

"So, what kind of pancakes are you making?" Nozomi wondered.

"You can probably tell, but I'm making the dual-flavored ones that Melissa and Dawn like to make," Nick answered. "Our 'secret recipe', as it were."

"From the looks of things, you're doing pretty well," Nozomi noted.

"To be fair, I've made pancakes before, and these aren't too different from your normal pancakes," Nick admitted. "The trick is getting the blueberry and chocolate chip flavors to mix in just the right way."

"Tell me about it," Nozomi chuckled. "Remember when I tried to mix all those different Kool-Aid flavors together for whatever reason?"

"Yeah, you did the same thing I did when I was a kid," Nick laughed. "The drink was some unholy color, but it actually ended up tasting delicious."

"Well, I'll let you take care of that, then," Nozomi stated. "Just make sure to call us when you're done, 'kay?"

"It'll be a bit, since I've gotta make sure I make enough for everybody," Nick answered. "And you know Melissa and Dawn are gonna want seconds."

"Very true," Nozomi giggled as she headed back into the living room so Nick could focus on his craft.

Thankfully, Nick had succeeded in his endeavors, and there were more than enough pancakes for everybody to try.

"See, was that so hard?" Melissa giggled once everyone had had their fill of breakfast. She and Dawn had taken care of the other breakfast amenities so Nick could focus on the pancakes. "It just takes experience."

"I guess I' m just glad I started with something that wasn't that hard to make," Nick replied.

"That's how you do it, really," Mat noted. "You start small and work your way up."

Before the spies could discuss what to do today, a loud beep resounded in the kitchen, and their refrigerator suddenly slid aside to allow a large metal tube to sprout from that spot on the floor.

"I may never get used to that, really," Alex chuckled. "It's always our appliances that move."

"Well, then, let's see who's trying to be a buzzkill today, shall we, everyone?" Haruka proclaimed as everybody changed into their spy suits before jumping into the tube.

10:12 A.M. – W.O.O.H.P. Headquarters

Jerry's Office

"I just now noticed that the tube didn't try to suck us in like it usually does," Dawn noted once all of the spies had landed safely inside of Jerry's office.

"That tactic is a bit out of date," Jerry admitted. "I do have to find new ways to keep you all on your toes, right?"

"...okay, good point," Sam quipped.

"So, Jer, who do we have to shake down, knock out, or dope slap today?" Clover wondered.

"Well, that's the tricky part," RiCO answered as she materialized in the office and waved her hands to change the viewscreen to show a mugshot of both Helga von Guggen and Myrna Beesbottom.

"Ugh, not these chowderheads again," Alex groaned. "When is she ever going to learn that we don't need nannies?!"

"And that's the crux of this problem," RiCO replied. "Our trackers show that each of them is in different places."

"We detected Myrna somewhere in Europe, and Helga in the vicinity of Tachikawa, Tokyo," iCO explained.

"Wait, our moms are still in Europe, aren't they?" Clover gasped.

"And lord only knows which one of us Helga's trying to mess with this time, too," Nick stated.

"So, here's how we decided to handle this," RiCO proclaimed. "We're going to have you split up into two different teams so we can tackle both side of this problem at once. We'll send Sam, Alex, Clover, Britney, Mat, Bridget and Blaine to Europe to deal with Myrna, and we'll send Nick, Haruka, Nozomi, May, Melissa and Dawn to Tachikawa."

"Ah, playing to our strengths, I see," May chuckled.

"But wait, our team's one short, right?" Nick quipped, knowing who would be showing up any second now.

"Never fear, for I have arrived!" Sortiliena exclaimed as she skidded to a stop in the office and threw her hand up in a salute before standing with Nick's team. "No way would I miss out on something like this."

"We've already got all of your gadgets and gizmos inside your Skyskimmers, so all you have to do is go there and head out," iCO proclaimed.

"Sounds like a plan to me," Sam responded. "All right, spies, let's do this!"

The fourteen spies headed to the docking bay and split into their assigned teams before boarding their respective Skyskimmers and taking off.

10:30 A.M. – Above the Skies

In the first Skyskimmer, Sam, Clover, and Alex couldn't help but hope that their flight couldn't go any faster given the circumstances.

"How in the heck could Myrna know our moms are in Europe?" Clover wondered.

"I don't know, but this is not the ideal way I'd have imagined going to see my own mom," Sam remarked.

"I'm a bit relieved they didn't think on Mat's folks, though," Bridget commented.

"Well, that doesn't mean I don't sympathize with their circumstances," Mat stated. "Besides, I WILL say that this is one of the times where it's a good thing my parents are pretty much hermits aside from going to their job sites only."

"Point taken," Britney nodded.

"I guess your folks must've had a lot of trust in you, Mat," Blaine presumed.

"Well, when you feel like you found that one special girl, you follow your heart," Mat quipped.

"Spoken like a real grown-up guy," Clover chuckled.

"I hate to say it, but I almost wish my mom was like yours and not cross the line so much on being overprotective," Sam replied, realizing she and Mat had plenty to lose with each other.

"Well, I'd like to think I'm proving them wrong when you look at everything that did happen," Mat deduced. "Of course that doesn't mean I completely avoid them, hence why I'm content with visits home."

The three main spies could not help but think that the early onsets of being given a nanny by Jerry of all people were starting to scream back to the surface again.

"Girls, I'm sure they're gonna be okay," Bridget remarked. "If Myrna's already gotten a head start, we'll find a way to turn the tables on her like we always do with our rogues' gallery."

Sam and Alex nodded at Bridget's statement since she was right, after all.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the ocean, the second team was also having their own conversation.

"Gotta say, I'm honestly surprised they didn't try something like this sooner," Haruka admitted.

"Who really knows how these people's minds work?" Melissa quipped.

"I stopped trying to understand them a long, long time ago," Sortiliena chuckled.

"Regardless, if I find even one hair out of place on mom and dad's head when we get there, those two are going to be in deep trouble," May proclaimed.

"Hey, we'll teach 'em a lesson just like always," Nick answered, just now realizing that, of this particular team, May and Nozomi were the only ones whose parents were still alive, and he had no idea about Sortiliena's family situation.

"That is what we do," Dawn quipped. "And I know for a fact that if our parents were still around, they wouldn't get brain-snared without a big fight."

"That's just the kind of people mom and dad were," Melissa replied.

12:02 P.M. – Europe (Spain)

In the meantime, Sam and the others had just arrived in Europe despite some rainy weather.

"Well, we made it," Alex stated. "Where do we start?"

"Finding our moms, of course," Clover remarked and punched in some commands on her X-Powder.

Sam saw what Clover was doing and did the same thing with her own X-Powder; Alex jumped on that bandwagon as well.

"We should hurry and get out of the rain for obvious reasons," Mat commented.

"Good point," Sam sighed.

They then picked up their moms' signals nearby.

"Hopefully we aren't too late..." Alex stated as the spies took off.

Mat, Bridget, and Blaine just followed them.

"We haven't heard much about your own folks, Bridget," Blaine replied. "Or is that too hard for you to talk about?"

"Not really, no," Bridget responded. "I think I mentioned this, but I don't really know my father. He kinda... left when I was really young."

"And you never asked why?" Mat wondered.

"Nah, it didn't really bother me," Bridget admitted. "Mom wasn't bitter about it at all, so they probably just didn't feel compatible anymore for whatever reason. I do kinda think sometimes about what would happen if I saw my father again one of these days..."

"I wonder what Jeremy would have thought if he could see you now?" Britney asked. Bridget's cousin Jeremy had died trying to foil a house robbery three years before the Taylor family had moved to Beverly Hills.

"He'd probably be pretty excited," Bridget chuckled. "Jeremy was really into superheroes and spy stuff as a kid."

"There you little brats are!"

"...that wasn't who I thought it was, was it?" Alex groaned.

Just to be sure, all seven spies turned around to see that Gabby, Carmen, and Stella were all marching towards them with stern looks on their faces and dulled eyes, a clear sign of mind control.

"...dang it, I hate being right sometimes," Alex sighed.

"And what, exactly, are you doing all the way over here without your nanny?!" Gabby proclaimed.

"You know you have to listen to your nanny," Carmen stated. "They're only looking out for you, you know!"

"We'll force you back to them if we've got to!" Stella shouted as the three mothers advanced in a threatening manner.

"Oh, no, no, we're not having any of that," Bridget quipped as she reached for her brooch. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Before Carmen could make a leap forward, Bridget transformed into Sonic Mode and ran forward, tapping a small button on her suit before she started running around the mothers to keep them in place.

Mat was the first to notice that the familiar crackle of green lightning wasn't following Bridget's trail this time.

Bridget did one more quick circle to disorient Gabby before rushing back to the spies so they could formulate a plan.

"Hey, is your suit working fine?" Sam asked.

"Of course," Bridget answered. "I just turned off the energy gathering function for a bit so it can't hurt your parents."

"I didn't even know you could turn that off," Clover quipped.

"Once again, W.O.O.H.P. thought of everything, huh?" Alex chuckled.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I can detect Myrna, and she's heading directly towards you!" RiCO exclaimed from Sam's X-Powder.

"Oh, wonderful, that's all we freakin' need right now," Mat groaned as the spies all prepared themselves for what would undoubtedly be a brawl.

12:31 P.M. – Tachikawa, Tokyo

"You know, just once, I'd like to come here for reasons that don't involve our rogues' gallery," May quipped once their Skyskimmer had touched down in Tachikawa.

"As long as they like to be petty and stupid, that'll probably be a rare sight," Haruka answered.

"Okay, onto business, is there any sign of May's parents or one of our villains?" Sortiliena wondered.

Just as everyone was about to start searching, Nick's psychic radar picked up a panicked set of thoughts coming from nearby.

When Nick turned around to see where those thoughts had come from, he saw something incredibly odd.

Both of May's parents, dressed in strange and gaudy fur outfits, were chasing down both Dizzy and Jam of the Jellyfish Pirates, though in actuality, Dizzy was the only one really being chased, as Jam was actively fighting back by juking and dodging to throw them off and throw punches that missed wide, but managed to force them back.

"Guess we found the problem," Nozomi quipped.

"Come on, let's go help 'em out!" May proclaimed as all seven spies raced to assist.

"Stand still, little lady, and just let us take you to your nanny already!" Mr. Iwakura growled.

"Did you two flip your lids when you put on those stupid outfits?!" Jam retorted as she stomped her foot down hard enough to make both of them back off, just enough for the spies to arrive.

"It's the outfits that are making them act like this," Melissa responded. "More devious 'plots' by our rogues' gallery, sadly."

"Hold on just a second," May stated as she ran forward to try and yank the outfits off of her parents, only for that to not happen. "...what the heck?"

"And then there's you," Mrs. Iwakura proclaimed when she noticed her daughter there. "We accepted long ago that my wayward daughter needs a nanny for some guidance in her life!"

"Mom, knock it off, I'm twenty-two," May retorted. "Full legal adult, you know!"

"May, incoming!" Nick shouted, his psychic radar having detected somebody approaching their location.

May took a step back from her parents, used her Emergency Gadget Transporter to summon her anchor to her hands, and then turned around to swing it upwards just in time to counter an attack from Helga von Guggen, who was wearing a falcon-themed outfit complete with large claws.

"Oh, how I wish you wouldn't spoil the surprise," Helga cackled.

"Ooh, you're cruisin' for a beating now, you animal-skinning hag," May growled. "How do I get those outfits off of mom and dad?!"

"Oh, you won't be doing that so easily," Helga laughed. "After all, I used a special type of superglue to bond them to those outfits so they'd only obey me."

"You might want to listen to May before she clocks you upside the head with her anchor," Nick taunted, his psychic aura flaring to life around him. "Because the thing about messing with my family at your own peril kinda applies across the board to us."

"I hope you're ready to get stomped again, Helga, because that's exactly what we're gonna do!" Sortiliena proclaimed as the spies prepared to fight.

"You wanna tell us why you're resorting to something like this?!" Haruka demanded.

"Since we're going to win anyway, I suppose it won't hurt to tell my side of this plan..." Helga sneered.

"You've taken a big nosedive down resorting to this from your wacky fashion schemes to make some green..." May remarked.

Helga could only "humph" at that for a start.

"What seems too good to pass up with Myrna Beesbottom to humiliate you lot for the trouble you've caused us, sounded like a winner to me..." Helga quickly sneered.

"You got some nerve saying 'trouble' around us," May remarked and hurled her anchor at Helga without warning.

Helga used a block on May's anchor to minimize the damage, but she felt some shock indeed.

"Trouble is not a word I'd use around us when you're trying to treat us like kids!" Nick shot back with multiple psychic shots at Helga herself.

Helga managed to dodge them all.

"You better also tell us how to remove them, too!" Sortiliena demanded.

"Oh, now what fun would that be?" Helga sneered. "There is no way to remove them..."

"Believe us... we'll find a way!" Nick proclaimed.

"No, you won't," Helga sneered again. "But good luck trying..."

"Smugness like that won't get you anywhere," Melissa quipped.

"How about we prove that to you?!" Dawn exclaimed as she and Melissa readied themselves, bringing out a Cyclone Blast Hairdryer and a Helicopter Hand Fan, respectively.

When Helga tried to rush forward and attack them with her claws, Melissa activated her Helicopter Hand Fan and took off into the sky, Dawn jumping onto her back so they could ride together and allow Dawn to take potshots at Helga with her Cyclone Blast Hairdryer.

Much to Dawn's surprise, though, Helga actually unfolded falcon wings from her outfit and flew upwards to meet them.

"Did you forget I could do this?!" Helga cackled.

"Did you forget that I still have my legs free?" Dawn retorted as Melissa used her free hand to spray Ice Queen Perfume to freeze and shatter Helga's wings, followed by Dawn kicking her in the chest and sending her crashing back to the ground.

"I believe that's checkmate, woman!" Nozomi proclaimed.

"Damn you!" Helga swore.

Seeing no way out of this, Helga decided a retreat was the only available option for the time and did so.

"Yeah... folded like a little bitch," Nick quipped.

"We managed to hold down your folks, May," Dizzy called out, stepping back to reveal that Jam had tied them both to the nearest pillar in the park area.

As soon as May saw what they did, she was content that her parents weren't beaten up all that bad.

"LET US OUTTA HERE!" Mrs. Iwakura demanded.

"Not until you're back to normal," Nozomi quipped.

"Specifically when we get those gaudy fur outfits off of you," Haruka added.

This spy team knew burning the fur outfits were not the answer, but before they could think up a solution, the Iwakuras had already started to break free of the restraints.

"Looks like your little ruse didn't work, did it?" Helga laughed.

"Did you forget who you're posturing to?" Nick retorted. Just as Mr. and Mrs. Iwakura broke free of their restraints, Nick raised his hand to ensnare them both in his psychic hold. "That should buy you all some time to get those outfits off of them!"

"I'll take care of this old hag in the meantime," Sortiliena quipped as she ran forward to start battling Helga.

"Didn't anybody teach you to respect your elders?" Helga sneered, only to be swiftly floored by a windmill kick to her face.

"Not when said elder is a completely loony nutcase like you," Sortiliena taunted. "So go and suck on those expired eggs."

May started maneuvering around her parents, searching for any sign of a weakness in these hypnotic outfits. After a bit, she found it in the form of a rather conspicuous knot on the top hem, and she was reminded of that one mission where Felicia Mane had captured Dizzy and used those crazy wigs and other hair-created monsters, which had all had the same convenient weakness.

"Well, nice to know that some things are internally consistent," May chuckled as she brought out a Platinum Credit Card and slashed at the knots on both outfits.

A few seconds passed before the outfits unraveled and fell apart, leaving both of May's parents very confused.

"Um... May, why are we here instead of at home?" Mrs. Iwakura wondered.

"And why can't we move?" Mr. Iwakura asked.

"Sorry, that was my bad," Nick chuckled as he released them from his psychic hold. "Had to hold you still for a bit to get you out of that jam."

Before either of them could ask what Nick had meant by that, they jolted slightly when Helga came flying by them, having been tossed that way by Sortiliena.

"All right, you, are you going to give it up or what?" Sortiliena taunted. "Because this seriously isn't a good look for you."

"You little wretches really think you have this situation under control?" Helga chuckled. "Oh, no, we've only just begun. Next time, you won't be so fortunate."

And with that, Helga made her getaway, leaving the spies to tend to May's parents.

"Sorry 'bout that," May quipped. "We just had to take out the trash, for lack of a better term."

"What did that weird lady do to us?" Mr. Iwakura asked.

"Long story short, she put these weird outfits on you that hypnotized you into making you think we needed nannies at our age," Haruka answered. "Honestly, the word itself just disgusts me after everything Myrna's dealt us."

"Wait, nannies?" Mrs. Iwakura gasped. "You're all full legal adults by now, right?"

"That's what we said, but Myrna just doesn't seem to get that through her thick head," Nozomi sighed.

"I don't think I've seen you before," Mr. Iwakura admitted when he noticed Sortiliena was standing there. "Are you a new member of their team?"

"Actually, I'm their combat teacher," Sortiliena quipped. "Gotta keep them on the ball at all times. W.O.O.H.P. Combat Instructor, Sortiliena Serlut, at your service!"

"So, did something happen to the rest of your team?" Mrs. Iwakura asked.

"Oh, they're off in Europe, dealing with the other half of our little problem," May responded. "But for the moment, let's get you two home and safe."

"I just put in a call to the other Jellyfish Pirates so they can join us," Dizzy stated after putting away her phone. "Sounds like we'll need their expertise if you guys are technically short-handed for this mission."

The seven spies began to escort Mr. and Mrs. Iwakura back to their house, with Dizzy and Jam following right behind them.

1:34 P.M. – Europe

"Get back here, you crazy woman!" Britney exclaimed as she continued to try and pursue Myrna.

"Oh, I don't think that's going to work this time," Myrna cackled as she continued to bounce all over the place, with the still-entranced Gabby, Carmen and Stella watching from afar. "Especially considering you seem to be short-handed this time. I don't see that little psychic brat anywhere nearby..."

"Watch what you call my fiancée, you trash excuse for a nanny," Alex growled.

"We were kicking your face in when the team was just Sam, Alex, and Clover," Mat retorted. "So don't think you're gonna get under our skin."

"And just to put an emphasis on that..." Bridget quipped as she reached for her brooch. "Sonic Mode, online!"

Myrna started throwing a barrage of shuriken towards Clover, who whipped out an Extendable Mascara Brush and spun it around like May would her anchor, each shuriken embedding itself in the staff but not touching Clover.

After reactivating the energy gathering function on her suit, this gave Bridget the opportunity to charge forward and kick Myrna away, her boosted speed allowing her to easily do so. Myrna bounced back quickly and attempted to tackle Bridget away, but she responded by running circles around Myrna to disorient her before jumping to a nearby statue and leaping off of it to kick Myrna backwards again.

"Will you stop kicking me?!" Myrna exclaimed. "It's getting really old!"

"Oh, would you rather I punch you with this?" Bridget retorted, equipping a Metal Masher Boxing Glove. "Because, body armor or no body armor, that's going to hurt if I do."

"Now give us our moms back right now, you bitch!" Clover growled.

"Oh, that's not happening," Myrna cackled. "And considering your little psychic alarm clock isn't here to wake them up, they'll probably be staying under my control. Ladies, let us blow this pop stand."

Myrna threw down a smoke bomb to obscure her escape, taking Gabby, Carmen and Stella with her.

"...oh, that little witch did not just freakin' pull that card on us," Britney groaned.

"They didn't get too far, thankfully," RiCO answered from Sam's X-Powder, which was now displaying a map of the area. "Just follow the blinking dots."

"Much appreciated, RiCO," Sam stated. "Let's get moving, everybody!"

"No need to say it twice, Sammy," Alex sighed.

Despite she was embarrassed or perturbed at the time that Carmen had to hear about her boyfriends until Carmen knew about Nick, Alex still felt that urgency since Carmen is still her mom, no two ways about it.

"Even if my mom goes too far in being overprotective, she doesn't deserve this..." Sam commented.

She could recall Gabby requesting so much safety gear for a short bike ride during their spa getaway that was really Tim Scam's tomfoolery in disguise.

"Okay, where'd that bitch get to?!" Clover snarled.

Although she felt mixed about Stella's actions at times, mainly Normy's antics that landed her in trouble, Clover was still grateful for her own mom as well, despite being old-fashioned.

"We're getting closer," Britney stated after a while. "What's our game plan?"

"Good question," Blaine remarked.

"I have one part concocted," Bridget told the current spy team.

"Well, we're listening," Clover stated.

"Since I'm naturally the fastest thanks to Sonic Mode, I'll keep your parents busy and see if I can figure out whatever's hypnotizing them, since we don't have Nick to do it," Bridget answered. "You guys focus on Myrna and see if you can get her to sing."

"I read ya loud and clear," Sortiliena chuckled.

"Sounds like a winner to me," Mat commented.

"I say the rest of us split up and attack Myrna from each corner when we find them," Sam proclaimed.

"Let's just hope worst case scenario doesn't happen," Blaine replied.

"I've got a Mass Inverter on hand," Alex responded. "If anything, I can make everybody float and give us some time to figure things out."

"I like your thinking," Bridget stated. "Plus, I got no problem doing a big chunk of the legwork."

"Glad to hear," Mat remarked.

Sam's X-Powder began beeping stronger and stronger while they moved forward.

"Be on alert, spies," Sam pointed out. "I've got a feeling Myrna's prepared a booby trap on us..."

"At least Jerry's got nothing to do with the nanny crap again," Clover commented.

"Totally," Alex replied in agreement.

The spies remained alert, but Mat was the first to spot a flash of light reflected off the sunlight that had come out after the rain had stopped.

"Guys, heads up!" Mat exclaimed as some shuriken came out of nowhere at them.

Sam was quick to react with her Expandable Mascara Brush to block the shuriken.

"Too easy," Sam quipped.

She gasped as more shuriken came their way, and all three moms were behind it all.

"Ready for your demises?" Myrna sneered, coming out of hiding behind the moms.

"I think you've got that backwards, little lady," Bridget quipped.

"Come on, now, do you really expect me to believe that you have any hope of breaking them out of it without your little boy toy?" Myrna laughed, only to be floored by a kick to her face courtesy of Sortiliena.

"First off, didn't I tell you to stop insulting my fiancée?" Alex proclaimed.

"Second, we've been snapping people out of trances long before Nick was part of the team," Clover stated.

"And third, did you forget who you're talking to?" Bridget responded. "Let's see if some velocity will unclog that drain pipe of a brain, shall we? Sonic Mode, online!"

After transforming, Bridget blitzed forward and started running in circles around Gabby, Carmen and Stella to keep them occupied and unable to retaliate, which allowed the rest of the spies to square off with Myrna.

"You might as well just give it up," Myrna cackled as she started charging towards the spies.

"Jeez, she does not know when to listen, does she?" Britney groaned as she sprayed Ice Queen Perfume onto the ground in front of Myrna. At the speed she was going, she couldn't course correct in time and slipped on the ice, going sliding a few feet away.

Just as Myrna managed to regain her balance, Sortiliena was already over there to kick Myrna into the air, then using Pogo Bounce Sandals to spring into the air after her. Sortiliena then followed with an overhead fist slam that sent Myrna crashing back to the ground.

"I hope she keeps being stubborn, honestly," Sortiliena chuckled. "This is fun."

While Bridget continued to run and keep the parents at bay, she used her X-Powder to scan all three of them in order to figure out a way to un-brainwash them.

After she'd made enough passes, Bridget skidded to a stop, having collected the data she needed.

"You know they're free to do whatever, right?" Myrna laughed. "And you wouldn't dare use your speed lightning on them, would you?"

"Don't have to," Bridget retorted as she equipped an Emergency Gadget Transporter and used it to summon a Topiary Sprinkler, another one of the many gadgets wielded by Nick's dimensional counterpart Ashley.

Bridget aimed the glove for Gabby, Carmen and Stella and fired it three times, planting a trio of seeds into the ground that quickly sprouted into vines that wrapped around them and kept them rooted to their spot.

"Never underestimate our wonderful toys," Bridget chuckled as she flipped open her X-Powder. "Any updates, RiCO?"

"Yup, it was no problem," RiCO giggled. "Myrna was using the classic 'flashing lights' trick to hypnotize them, so I whipped up an inverse kind of flash that should snap 'em out of it. Just get closer to them and I'll do the rest, 'kay?"

Bridget complied and moved closer to Gabby, Carmen and Stella so she could hold up her X-Powder and aim it for them. A few seconds later, they were bombarded by a brief flash of strobing lights that caused them to stumble back slightly (as much as they could while still being trapped by the vines).

When they opened their eyes, they seemed to be back to normal.

"Um... why, exactly, are we trapped by vines?" Carmen wondered. "We didn't step into a monster movie by accident, did we?"

"Not exactly," Alex giggled.

"Ugh, you wretches haven't seen the last of me!" Myrna exclaimed as she retreated for the moment.

"Wait, who the heck was that?" Stella asked. "And does she have something to do with why I can't remember the last few hours of my life?"

"Pretty much," Sam quipped as Bridget recalled the seeds to make the vines retract. "How about we all get somewhere and explain this before she decides to make a comeback?"

"I think there's a café nearby we can go to," Gabby replied. "Looks like your rogues' gallery is being stupid, huh?"

"You don't know the half of it, mom," Sam sighed as the spies all made their way towards that café to explain what was going on.

To be continued...

Coming up next...

Carmen: Nannies?! At your age?!

Alex: Yeah, we thought it was stupid the first time, too.

Sam: That's why we came here to help you out. The other half of our team is in Japan dealing with Myrna's partner and hopefully having an easier time of it.

Mat: It's just a lot of headache, having to deal with someone like Myrna.

Gabby: I can imagine, given how stubborn she seems to be.

Blaine: I'm just hoping we can find her and kick her face in a few times before she does this to anybody else.

Clover: Yeah, it's bad enough that she went after our parents, but this could be crossing a whole other bunch of lines!

Britney: We should probably get your moms over to W.O.O.H.P. so they'll be safe.

Bridget: Already taken care of, Brit. A chopper's on the way to pick them up.

Stella: You all better teach her a lesson or two!

Sam: Oh, trust me, that's definitely what we plan on doing, next time on Totally Spies: The Nebulous Narcissistic Nanny, "Seeing Double"!

Carmen: Man, it's been a while since I got to stretch my acting muscles, huh?

Stella: ...wait, who's arguing back in the dressing room?

Melissa: I think they're just practicing for something that's coming up. Gotta make it convincing, right?
