AN: Hello everyone! I'm back!
After so long, here I am again and I bring you the next part of 'The legend of the dinosaurs' saga.
As I said in the last chapter of the previous part, this story would be a totally original one, a story between the first and the second season.
MY own season.
From what you can see from the title, it's clear what's going to happen, but… how will it happen?
That's what this first chapter is for, where everything will start.
I hope you enjoy it.
I don't own anything.
3 months.
3 months had passed since Republic City suffered a war caused by the Equalists, since Team Avatar Dinosaur triumphed in their fight against them and, above all, since the gang returned to their world thanks to the mystical stone given to them by Katara.
Many things had changed in that time.
To begin with, after what happened with the Equalists, the relationship between benders and non-benders improved a lot.
It is true that some members of that group had hatred and resentment towards the benders, but after discovering that their leader was a waterbender and bloodbender, and that his methods weren't the right ones, they decided to try another approach to improve things.
One of the biggest changes was that the Republic City council decided to disband and let the citizens choose their ruler, so they started an election.
There were several candidates, from benders to non-benders, who continuously tried to win the people's vote in order to win.
Another change was that, due to the achievement of a certain group, it was decided to rename the main park of Republic City, now called Avatar Korra Park and not only that, but they built a statue of Korra in it accompanied by the gang of dinosaurs that helped her in her fight for the city.
Speaking of them, things had also changed for them during those 3 months.
Asami had become the head of Future Industries after her father, who was a weapons supporter of the Equalists, was arrested.
It was a bit complicated at first because people had lost trust in them after what happened, but she wasn't willing to give up.
Her father may have been a criminal, but he built that company from scratch and she wasn't going to let one of his great achievements be destroyed so easily, so she worked hard every day until, in the end, most of the city regained their trust in the company.
Bolin continued his work as a pro-bending player, but because Mako and Korra, who were members of his team, the Fire Ferrets, were on their own business, he had no choice but to recruit new players.
They may not have been as skilled as his brother and his friend were, but he kept encouraging them to go ahead and win the game, hoping to take the team, which he and his brother formed, to the top.
Regarding his brother, after what happened in the war against the Equalists, Mako wanted to do more than being a pro-bending player, he wanted to do something more for the city, to make it a better place for his brother, for the orphaned children of the city and also, for his girlfriend.
Therefore, he decided to join the city's police force, which surprised and delighted the others who kept telling him that he would make it and that he would be the best policeman in the world.
Of course, it wasn't going to be easy, as he had a lot of studying and training to do, since not just anyone can be a policeman.
Finally, we came to the most important person on the team, Avatar Korra.
She had finally made it.
After so much time of hard training, she had finally succeeded, not only in airbending but also in entering the Avatar State, the most powerful ability of an Avatar.
For her, it was the best thing in her life, well, after meeting a certain gang.
Normally, she would be impatient to use her new skills against the bad guys, but after everything that happened with the Equalists and Amon, she had learned to be more patient and composed.
As a result, she was more focused on training her new abilities and, on occasion, provided political help in elections, since, even though the council was disbanded, its members were still in charge of city affairs until the winner of the elections, i.e. the first president of the city, was appointed.
Since Korra was the Avatar, she would give her help for some advice, since she experienced the city first hand, both in her first visit, and in the fight against the Equalists; but she was also there to learn a bit more about politics for future affairs, due to the fact that, as Avatar, she sensed that she would go through times where she had to act more like a parliamentarian than a fighter.
Of course, it wasn't all joy for her and it was all due to something or rather, the lack of someone.
Despite the fact that she was happy that the gang had returned to their world with their families, she felt bad that they were no longer by her side.
Often, she would stand there, gazing, either at the horizon or the night sky, with an expression of sadness and longing, a sign that she missed them dearly and wishing she could see them again, although she knew that might be tricky, since there was no way to communicate with them.
You never know.
Perhaps, some wishes may come true.
It was a beautiful day in Republic City, with the sun shining brightly overhead.
At that moment, Korra was in the octagonal training area, training her airbending with Tenzin supervising her.
First, she performed a kick that launched a wave of wind, then, she threw a couple of punches that shot air currents, and finally, she created an air scooter with which she spun around a couple of times before stopping and undoing the scooter.
"Well? How did you like it? I'm getting better, aren't I?" asked Korra.
"Yes, you've improved a lot in these months, but you still have a lot to learn to be a complete airbender." said Tenzin.
"What? But I've mastered it well enough. I can even enter the Avatar State at will. What do I need more training for?" asked Korra.
"Just because you can already airbend and enter the Avatar State doesn't mean you're invincible. Besides, the Avatar State is a double-edged blade, you shouldn't use it lightly like breathing, because if…" said Tenzin.
"I know. If I get killed in that state, it's over for the Avatar forever. Katara told me about it." said Korra.
"Good. However, I would also advise you to learn to master it properly. It is a power so great that even my father had trouble mastering it properly." said Tenzin referring to the times his father entered the Avatar State without any control.
"Why? Now Republic City is at peace since Amon left for good." said Korra.
"If there is one thing I have learned from my father, it is that peace isn't eternal. Something will always come up to jeopardize it and so we must be prepared to maintain it." said Tenzin.
"*Sigh* I guess you're right. Hey, do you mind if we call it a day?" asked Korra.
"Sounds good to me. I have to meet with the council on certain matters." said Tenzin.
"You know? I thought you would have less work when you decided to pass the position to someone else." said Korra with a small smile.
"I thought so too, but the process of change is never easy. I just hope it will be over in less than half a year. I have plans for the future." said Tenzin before leaving.
"Remember to let me know if you need my help with anything." began Korra as she watched her teacher walk away. "Well, how about…?" asked Korra as if there was someone else, but there wasn't, which made her a little sad.
Even though it had been months, Korra sometimes acted as if they were by her side, the same way they had been during their time in that world, but they weren't.
With nothing else to do, Korra left the place, hoping to find something to entertain herself with.
Korra was walking around for a while until she saw Jinora sitting and reading a book in the shade of a tree while Ikki and Meelo were sitting in the branches of that tree.
"Hey, kids." said Korra, catching the young airbenders' attention.
"Oh, hi, Korra. How was training?" asked Jinora.
"Pretty good." said Korra with a shrug.
"Hey, if you keep training, maybe you'll get an arrow like the one dad has." said Ikki.
"Which means I'd have to shave your head." said Meelo pointing to his hairless head.
That made Korra show an expression of horror as she imagined herself totally bald like Tenzin.
"Uh… About that… I think I'll give it some thought." said Korra with a nervous smile, as she didn't want to insult the customs of the airbenders.
"Hey. Since you're here, why don't we play a game?" asked Meelo jumping down from the tree.
"And what game do you suggest?" asked Jinora curiously.
"Oh, I know, I know." began Ikki jumping down from the tree. "We could play 'Sharptooth attack'." said Ikki raising her hands in a claw posture.
"Oh, no. An evil sharptooth. Save yourselves who can." said Meelo acting before 'running away' from his sister as the two were laughing in amusement.
"Wait. I want to play that too." said Jinora putting down her book and getting up to join in the fun.
Korra stood there, watching the young airbenders play and, for a moment, saw the gang playing that very game, which made her a little sad.
"Won't you join us, Korra?" asked Jinora as she and her siblings paused for a moment.
"Oh, no. No, thank you. I think I'd rather take a walk around town and see how the others are doing. Go on with your game." said Korra with a smile before walking away.
Even though she was smiling, the young airbenders could see right through her.
In fact, they knew very well why she was like that.
Soon after, Korra arrived at the stables where Naga was resting, but she stood up as soon as she saw her human friend coming.
"Ready for a walk, Naga?" asked Korra, getting a petting from the polar bear dog. "Hehe. I guessed as much." said Korra before climbing onto the back of her animal guide and heading off towards the harbor, where she used waterbending to go into city.
Later, Korra found herself in the main workshop of Future Industries, where she saw multiple workers going about their tasks.
That's when, looking ahead, she saw Asami with several workers at her side.
"I want this many satomobiles ready by the end of the week." said Asami to half of the workers around her.
"Yes, ma'am." said the worker before he and several others left.
"I also want an update on the status of the stock market and our buyers." said Asami to the remaining workers.
"Copy that." said one worker before he and the others left, leaving her alone.
Seeing them gone, Asami let out a tired sigh.
"Tiring work, huh?" asked Korra, surprising the engineer.
"Ah, Korra. To what do I owe this visit?" asked Asami.
"I just wanted to see how everything is going and from what I've seen, you're handling yourself very well." said Korra.
"Thank you, but I'm still struggling. Things haven't been going so well for the company after what happened with my father, but I know I'll be able to handle it." said Asami.
"I think so too." said Korra with a smile that Asami returned.
Despite the fact that they were initially rivals for Mako's love, after he and Korra became a couple, the two ended up remaining friends, even going so far as to meet up from time to time for a bit of fun.
"So, what do you say we go out for a while for a girls' afternoon? It's been a while since we've done one." said Korra.
"Oh, you don't know how much I'd love to, but I have a lot of unfinished business. Running a company isn't as easy as I first thought." said Asami.
"Oh, well, that's okay. I'll see you around." said Korra before leaving.
After that, Korra went to Mako and Bolin's apartment.
When the Equalists attacked the pro-bending arena, Mako and Bolin, who lived in the attic, were forced to move to another place.
At first, they went to live in the Sato mansion, but after what happened to Hiroshi, they went to live on Air Temple Island.
However, after the final battle against the Equalists, they decided to change their whole life.
To do so, they began working multiple jobs at the same time Bolin was doing his job as a pro-bending player and Mako was preparing for the police entrance exam.
After a couple of months of saving and such, they managed to earn enough to be able to own their own house in the city, where they now lived quietly.
Korra knocked on the door, hoping, with a smile, that Mako would open it.
From that day on, the two began an official relationship.
Sometimes, when they weren't training or doing other things, they would have dates where they would hang out together, whether it was eating out, playing a game, or just walking around holding hands.
Korra never imagined such a thing could happen to her in life and hoped that everything would stay that way for the two of them.
Finally, the door opened, but instead of Mako opening it, it turned out to be Bolin, much to the Avatar's surprise.
"Korra! I didn't expect to see you." said Bolin with a big smile.
"Oh, Bolin. Hehe. I didn't expect to see you either." said Korra with a smile.
"Wait, you just came to see Mako? That hurts my heart, you know?" asked Bolin with a sad expression.
"No, no, Bolin. It's not that, it's just that…" began Korra nervously, hoping she hadn't hurt him emotionally again, when suddenly Bolin burst out laughing lightly.
"Haha. Oh, don't worry. I was just teasing you. Don't just stand there. Come on in." said Bolin stepping aside to allow Korra to enter his home.
As Bolin closed the door, Korra went into the main room.
"How are you two doing? You seem to have gotten used to your new home." said Korra.
"Yes, I admit it was a bit complicated. You know, new neighbors, new neighborhood… Everything new! I never would have imagined our lives would change like that and it was all thanks to you and the kids." said Bolin.
"Hehe. Bolin, don't exaggerate." began Korra with a slight blush. "If you're here it's because of the effort you two alone have put into achieving all of this."
"Still, the ones who started it all were you when you went to the arena that one time." said Bolin.
"Yeah… That one time." said Korra with a wistful smile at the memory, only for that smile to be wiped away when she remembered that they weren't there anymore.
"Korra, are you okay?" asked Bolin, catching the Avatar's attention.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Anyway, how are the new members of the Fire Ferrets?" asked Korra.
"Pretty good. Can't compare to the original members though." said Bolin.
"Like Mako and Hasook?" asked Korra with a smile.
"Okay, you got me there, but no. I was referring to you and Mako. If the three of us stuck together, we'd lead the team to victory once again. And this time, without cheating players or sabotaging villains." said Bolin referring to what happened in the tournament final.
"I know, but you know things have changed. I have to focus entirely on my Avatar training and Mako has to prepare to join the police force." said Korra.
"True, and I couldn't be prouder of my big brother." said Bolin.
"I wouldn't be so quick to jump the gun."
The Avatar and the earthbender watched Mako walk through the apartment door.
"I have to pass some tests to be accepted." said Mako.
"Mako!" said Korra happily before walking up to her boyfriend and giving him a kiss on the lips which he quickly returned. "Where have you been?"
"Jogging. One of the tests to join the police is endurance, so I have to work out." said Mako.
"Hey, how about you take a shower and we go out for a while?" asked Korra.
"Uh… This… I… I'm sorry, I can't." said Mako.
"What? Why?" asked Korra.
"It's not that I don't want to hang out with you, it's just that I have to study and it could take me a while. It'll have to be some other time." said Mako feeling bad about leaving his girlfriend.
"It's okay. I understand. It seems like everyone is busy lately." said Korra.
"But it won't be like this forever. You'll see how, before you know it, the four of us will be together again and it'll be just like before. Well, except for them…" began Bolin.
"Bolin." said Mako causing his brother to quickly cover his mouth as he realized he was touching on a sensitive subject for someone.
"Oops. Sorry, I didn't mean…" began Bolin trying to apologize.
"Never mind. Well, I guess it'll be another time. See you later." said Korra with a small smile as she walked out of the apartment, leaving the two brothers alone.
However, the two could sense that Korra wasn't as animated as usual, especially Mako, who was her boyfriend, and it was clear what the reason for that was.
Once outside the building, Naga approached Korra to allow her to climb on her back, but…
"No, Naga, I'm sorry. I'd like to be alone for a while." said Korra before walking away, leaving her animal guide behind.
I walk a lonely road.
The only one that I have ever known.
Don't know where it goes.
But it's home to me, and I walk alone.
On her solo walk, Korra saw from a distance the pro-bending arena and then, the memory came to her mind of when she and the gang snuck in that night and met the two brothers while watching their first pro-bending match.
After that, Korra continued her walk.
I walk this empty street.
On the boulevard of broken dreams.
Where the city sleeps.
And I'm the only one, and I walk alone.
Korra continued walking through the streets until she approached Gommu who was in a corner singing that same song that could be heard in the air.
I walk alone, I walk alone.
I walk alone, I walk a…
"Did you have to sing such a sad one?" asked Korra.
"I can sing another one if you want." began Gommu stretching out his arm in a sign that he was begging, but Korra ignored him and went on her way. "As you wish." said Gommu with a shrug.
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me.
'Til then, I walk alone.
Then, Korra saw several children playing or eating treats and that made Korra smile as she remembered that day when she decided to spend a day of fun with the gang, ending up in a way she would never have imagined.
Ah, ah, ah, ah.
Ah, ah, ah.
Korra shook her head to push those memories away before walking back down the streets, entering Avatar Korra Park.
I'm walking down the line.
That divides me somewhere in my mind.
On the borderline.
Of the edge and where I walk alone.
Then, Korra watched multiple children practice their powers with the help of their teachers.
That brought back memories of when she helped the gang handle their new powers after discovering they had become benders.
Read between the lines.
What's messed up, and everything's all right.
Check my vital signs.
To know I'm still alive, and I walk alone.
With her sadness magnified, Korra went on her way.
I walk alone, I walk alone.
I walk alone, I walk a…
It was then that Korra passed close to where Gommu was standing, who now had a couple of bums next to him playing instruments such as a guitar and drums while he was singing.
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me.
'Til then, I walk alone.
At that moment, Korra stood in front of the statue in her and the gang's honor and then, multiple memories came to her mind.
Ah, ah, ah, ah.
Ah, ah, I walk alone, I walk a…
She remembered when she and Ruby had a little race, when she helped Chomper look for bugs and she used earthbending to look under rocks; when she just sat on the side as she watched Spike eating a bush, when she was with Petrie flying in the sky with her glider, when she was playing in the water with Ducky, when she and Cera had a little duel of strength and, most of all, when she spent time with Littlefoot, the one she considered a little brother.
With great sadness in her heart, Korra left the place.
I walk this empty street.
On the boulevard of broken dreams.
Where the city sleeps.
And I'm the only one, and I walk a…
Suddenly, she passed by an area where there was a stage and on it, there was Gommu and his band, playing the song while the audience moved their arms to the music, as if it were a concert.
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating.
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me.
'Til then, I walk alone.
Finally, Korra's walk ended up taking her in front of the police station, a very important place for her, because it was the place where she met them for the first time, where she knew about their situation, where she decided that they would stay with her until they found their way back and now that they had succeeded…
Korra couldn't take it anymore and simply ran away from there as fast as she could and even though it wasn't clearly visible, she was shedding tears of sadness.
Later, back in the middle of the day, Korra was on the edge of the island, her legs wrapped around her chest and crying.
It may have been a long time since they left, but to her it was as painful as the day they left.
Yes, Littlefoot told her that they would remain friends no matter the time or distance, but for her, it had been too long and she could no longer bear the fact that they were no longer with her.
With all they had been through together, those little dinosaurs had carved a deep place in her heart and she felt that place getting smaller as time went on.
She was beginning to fear that she would never see them again and that, if more time passed, she would end up forgetting them altogether and that was something she would never wish for.
"Korra!"
"Are you there?"
"Korra!"
Korra raised her head just as the other members of her team, along with the young airbenders.
"Korra, are you okay?" asked Bolin.
Korra quickly wiped her tears with her arm.
"Yes, I'm fine." said Korra.
"Korra, I know you well and I know when you aren't well. Please tell us what's happening to you." said Mako wanting to help his girlfriend.
Instead of saying anything, Korra simply lowered her head, sinking it into her knees.
"It's because of the kids, isn't it? You miss them." said Asami understanding what made her friend suffer.
"*Snif* A lot. They… They were more than my friends. They were like part of my family. Especially, Littlefoot. Every day, I feel sad to not see them by my side." said Korra.
"Korra, we miss them too. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't think about them." said Jinora.
"Yes, I would have liked to spend more time with them." said Meelo.
"But they had to go home." said Ikki.
"I know, I know. *Sigh* I just… I'd like to find a way to see them again." said Korra.
"What if we sent them a message telling them to come visit us?" asked Bolin.
"Don't be ridiculous, Bolin. We're not talking about another nation, we're talking about another world." said Mako.
"The only thing we can do about it is wait for them to decide to use the mystic stone that brought them here the first time to come here again." said Asami.
"Well, we might as well visit them too, right?" asked Bolin.
Suddenly, something clicked in Korra's mind upon hearing that.
"That… THAT'S IT!" exclaimed Korra laughing with a big smile as she stood up before giving the earthbender a very tight hug. "Thank you, Bolin! You're a true genius!"
"You're welcome. This… What was it I said?" asked Bolin in confusion as the Avatar broke away from the hug.
"Don't you get it? We had the answer right under our noses the whole time." said Korra with a big smile.
"What are you talking about?" asked Meelo.
"All this time we've been waiting for the kids to use their key to travel to our world when we have our own key too!" said Korra.
"That's right! Gran Gran has the stone that Grandpa Aang found years ago!" said Ikki remembering her grandmother's story regarding the stone.
"And if the kids used that stone to travel back to their world…" began Asami understanding what her friend was saying.
"We will be able to travel to their world too. To their home. Where they are." said Korra.
"What a great idea!" said Jinora with a smile.
"Wait, wait, wait. Are you sure about what you're suggesting?" asked Mako.
"Mako, is it that you don't want to see them again?" asked Bolin.
"Of course I want to, but we're talking about traveling to a world completely different from ours where there are giant dinosaurs." said Mako.
"Mako, please. I know it's crazy, but it's the only way to see them all again." began Korra before taking his hands and looking him in the eyes. "I need this. I need to know that they're okay and that we can get back together again. Please, Mako, do this for me."
Mako had his doubts about it, but after that, he began to understand that it was really necessary, not only for him and everyone, but also for Korra, who was the one who was the closest to the gang.
He knew that, if she kept it up any longer, it could affect her even more and he also knew that, even if he refused, she would end up traveling on her own and he wasn't going to let his girlfriend be in danger again.
"Fine. If it's that important to you, we'll do it." said Mako with a smile that she returned before the two shared a kiss.
"You're the best boyfriend in the world." said Korra.
"I'll have to buy me a cup that says that." said Mako.
"As much as I love these romantic scenes, I'm afraid we have a bit of a problem." said Asami.
"Really? Because I don't see any." said Bolin with a smile.
"We don't have the mystic stone they used to travel." said Asami, causing the earthbender's smile to quickly fade.
"Oh, yes. That's a problem." said Bolin.
"It's okay. After what happened, our father decided to keep the stone for safety." said Jinora.
"We just have to ask him for it…" began Ikki.
"And badabim, badabum. We're in another world." said Meelo.
"I'm not too sure if he'll agree." said Mako.
"Don't say that. I'm sure he'll agree right away. It's not like he's going to say 'no'." said Korra confidently.
"No." said Tenzin immediately after being told of their plan, surprising the others in the process.
"What? Why?" asked Korra.
"As much as I like the idea of seeing the kids again, the idea of traveling to another world is too dangerous." said Tenzin.
"Dangerous? We're not going to the end of the world, we're going to the Great Valley." said Bolin.
"And from what they told us, it's the safest place in their world." said Asami remembering the things the gang told them.
"Well, it is despite that swamp they almost sank into, the volcano that erupted, that earthquake…" began Meelo listing the dangers the gang went through inside the Great Valley.
"You're not helping, Meelo." said Jinora stopping her younger brother.
"Besides, it's been months since they returned and I can't allow you to go somewhere else without knowing how long you would be gone." said Tenzin.
"I understand, Master Tenzin, but I assure you that we won't stay there for long." said Mako.
"That's right. We will be back before the sun sets." said Korra.
Tenzin had his doubts, but he would be lying if he said he didn't miss the gang and wished he knew what had happened to them to take so long to show up.
It didn't seem like a bad idea to go to this other world to see them, but it was a terrain that, according to the gang, was totally different from their city, which meant it could be dangerous.
However, he had to remember that Korra and her friends were capable enough to face those dangers.
Besides, he knew perfectly well that they might disobey him if he continued to refuse.
"Ok. You can go, but I don't want you to take too long, got it?" asked Tenzin.
A toothy grin plastered itself on Korra's face before she lunged to give the airbender a tight hug.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you. You're the best." said Korra.
"Yeah, we're going on a trip to another world." said Ikki.
"No way." began Tenzin as he separated from the Avatar. "You three stay here."
"What? Daddy, it's not fair. Why can Korra and the others go and we can't?" asked Jinora.
"Korra and her friends are old enough and responsible enough to do this without a problem, but you are still children." said Tenzin.
"But Littlefoot and the others were children too, and they traveled to our world." said Meelo.
"Not to mention that Grandpa Aang traveled all over the world as a little boy." said Ikki.
"First, what happened to the children was accidental; and second, your grandfather was older than you." said Tenzin.
"But daddy…" began Jinora trying to convince him.
"That's all there is to it. You're not going, end of the subject." said Tenzin strictly.
That made the young airbenders feel sad at the thought of not seeing the gang after so long.
"Tenzin, I think you should let them go." said Korra.
"What?" asked Tenzin in surprise.
"Just like me, they miss them too. It wouldn't be right to cast them aside. If it's their safety you're worried about, you can count on me and the others." said Korra with a smile.
Tenzin began to mentally debate about it, as he wasn't sure whether to send his younger children on a journey into a world of unknown dangers.
"I agree with it."
They all looked to the side to see Pema arrive on the scene with Rohan in her arms.
"I think it would be good for all of them to see the kids again after being separated for so long." said Pema with a smile.
Hearing his wife, Tenzin understood that she was right.
Besides, he remembered when the Equalists attacked the island and they were able to defend themselves on their own.
"*Sigh* Very well. You can go too." said Tenzin.
The next instant, the young airbenders cheered with joy at the fact that they would be traveling to another world before going to embrace their father.
"Thank you so much, daddy." said Jinora.
"You are the best daddy in the world." said Ikki.
"Yes, you are a super daddy." said Meelo.
"Korra, make sure you keep a good eye on them." said Tenzin.
"Take it easy, Tenzin. I'll make sure they're okay." said Korra.
"And I'll make sure she does." said Mako.
"Hey, if I could take care of seven little dinosaurs, I can take care of three little airbenders." said Korra with a grin.
"Do you know what this all means?" asked Bolin with a smile.
"That we will be the first humans to travel to a dinosaur world, where no other human has been before?" asked Asami with a smile.
"No! It means that Team Avatar Dinosaur will be back together!" exclaimed Bolin happily, causing the others to chuckle slightly.
Later, they all went to Tenzin's room, where the airbender pushed aside a floorboard, revealing a small compartment with a box.
"There's one thing I don't understand. Why so much secrecy for that stone?" asked Korra curiously.
"Korra, it is a mystical stone that allows you to travel to a world completely different from our own. In the right hands, it is harmless, but in the wrong hands, it can become a weapon." said Tenzin.
"How?" asked Bolin in confusion.
"I think I know. There could be untapped resources on that world. If some unethical company knew about this, they would want to grab those resources without caring about the consequences. Like my father, for example." said Asami knowing that, if her father, during the war against the Equalists, had known about it, he would have used the dinosaurs or materials from that world to build better weapons.
"Or worse, unscrupulous people might want dinosaurs as show trophies or as exotic pets." said Mako.
"No! I won't allow that!" said Korra not wanting anything bad to happen to the kids or their home.
"That's why this mustn't come from those in this room. It is best that people, whether few or trusted, know of the existence of this stone." said Tenzin.
"Received. Not a word about mystical stones allowing travel between worlds to strangers." said Bolin.
"You have our word." said Asami earnestly.
After nodding, Tenzin opened the box, revealing the same stone that took the gang back to their home world.
"No matter how much I look at it, it's amazing." said Jinora.
"Oh." said Ikki and Meelo in amazement.
Tenzin set the box with the stone down on a table and turned away from the others.
"Remember to come back before the sun sets, understood?" asked Tenzin.
"Yes, we promise." began Korra before looking at the stone, feeling impatient that she was going to see the gang again. "Are you all ready?"
"Ready when you are." said Mako taking his girlfriend's hand.
Korra took a deep breath to get ready.
"Ok. Here we go." said Korra before reaching out her hand towards the stone.
In the same instant she touched it, a ball of light expanded, covering the entire room and forcing the airbender to cover his eyes.
Soon after, the ball of light contracted and disappeared, allowing Tenzin to be able to see that there was no one else in the room anymore, just the mystic stone that continued to glow until its lights went out.
"Good luck." said Tenzin before leaving the room, hoping they were okay wherever they were.
When the flash disappeared, everyone saw that they were inside a cave.
"Wow. That wasn't how I imagined it." said Bolin.
"Yeah. Who knew traveling between worlds would be like opening a door." said Ikki.
"So, did it work, are we in the world of the kids?" asked Asami.
"I'm not sure, but we're obviously not on Air Temple Island." said Mako.
"So where are we then?" asked Meelo.
"It's clear that it's a cave. The question would be how do we get out of here?" said Jinora.
Korra looked around for something when, looking to the side, she saw an exit through which daylight could be seen.
"Look. There's an exit." said Korra before she and the others headed that way.
When they reached the exit, they had to cover their eyes due to the intense sunlight, but the moment they cleared it and looked straight ahead, everyone was completely dumbfounded at what they were seeing.
(Insert Jurassic Park soundtrack)
In front of them was a huge greenish landscape, with forested areas, rivers, lakes and a large barrier all around, but what was most striking was that they could see dinosaurs everywhere.
In one part, they could see a longneck walking, with his head sticking out above the trees and across the sky they could see three flyers flying peacefully.
"The Great Valley." said Korra before letting out a startled sigh.
"I can't believe what I'm seeing." said Mako.
"This place is huge!" said Ikki.
"This place would make Avatar Korra Park a garden." said Asami in awe.
"It's amazing." said Meelo.
"Such a sight would make a man like me burst into tears." said Bolin with drops at the corners of his eyes.
"It's beautiful. I can feel life in every corner of this place." said Jinora as she watched a butterfly fly in front of her before walking away.
"We made it! We're here! In the home of Littlefoot and the others! I can't wait to see them again!" said Korra with great joy.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go get them." said Meelo starting to run a little, but Mako grabbed him by the back of his shirt to stop him.
"Wait a minute. We can't go around in a carefree manner." said Mako.
"What's with all the worry? Look at all this. It's paradise." said Bolin.
"Yeah, it doesn't look like there's anything to worry about." said Ikki.
"No, Mako is right. Littlefoot told me that his grandfather told him that the great wall protected everyone in the valley from the dangers of the Mysterious Beyond, but that there were dangers inside the valley as well." said Korra.
"Besides, we don't know how its inhabitants will react to seeing humans." said Asami.
"Well, considering that, surely, they will have been told about us, they will have a clear idea of what we are like." said Jinora.
"Then let's get going and try not to get separated." said Korra before the whole group headed into the Great Valley.
For a while, the group was walking around the grounds of the place.
Needless to say, even though they were aiming to find the gang, they didn't fail to stop from time to time to contemplate the place around them.
It was so new to them, so amazing and so wonderful.
Honestly, if it wasn't for their main objective, they would have surely separated in order to explore the place, each one on their own, but since they had that objective, they would have to leave the subject of exploration for later, since the ones they were looking for knew more about that place than they did.
It was then that Asami noticed something on the ground, causing her and everyone else to stop.
"Hey, look at this." began Asami picking up what she noticed and showed them all that it was a leaf shaped like a five-pointed star. "This leaf has a peculiar shape."
"I know what it is. It's a tree star." began Korra before taking the leaf. "The kids were telling me that this type of plant was the most common in the valley and their favorite of all. Hehe. They told me they once had an argument over the last tree star on a tree."
"Ha. Typical of them." said Bolin with a smile.
"Speaking of which. Does anyone know how to find them?" asked Mako.
"Yeah, this place is almost as big as Republic City." said Ikki.
"What if we call them?" asked Meelo before catching his breath and opening his mouth, but just before he could let out a scream, Jinora covered his mouth with her hand.
"Do that and we'll have all the dinosaurs nearby." said Jinora.
"You are worrying too much" began Bolin walking a bit before turning his head to look at them as he kept walking. "We've been walking for quite a while and we haven't run into any of them." said Bolin before bumping into something hard. "Huh? Where did this log come from?"
While he was confused by that, the others were petrified.
"Bolin, that's not a log." said Mako.
Bolin arched an eyebrow at him before he started to hear something and looked down at the 'log', only to be petrified when he saw that it was starting to move and then, it was revealed that in reality, it was the leg of a huge quadrupedal dinosaur with plates on its back and a tail with a club at the end.
The dinosaur turned so that it could stare at them with a scowl, leaving everyone even more petrified.
"Ah… It's clearly not a tree log." said Bolin completely freaked out.
"Who are you calling a log, log?" asked the dinosaur.
In the next instant, the whole group took off running while screaming, leaving the dinosaur behind.
"Did I say something wrong? And by the way, what kind of creatures were those?" asked the dinosaur in confusion. "Bah, who cares? I don't think it's any of my business." said the dinosaur before walking away.
The group had been running until they stopped at another location, where they sat on the ground to catch their breath after their escape.
"Ugh. What am I doing? Our first encounter with a dinosaur in this world and the first thing I can think of to do is run!" said Korra grumbling.
"Well, you have to admit it did look pretty menacing." said Asami.
"Yeah, that's what the clubtails look like." said Jinora.
"The what?" asked Ikki.
"The dinosaur we just saw is a clubtail." said Jinora.
"How do you know that?" asked Bolin.
"Because of this." said Jinora taking out a book with the title 'First Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs' from a bag she was carrying.
"What's that?" asked Meelo.
"You see, after Gran Gran told us about the book Grandpa Aang found, I decided to write one myself. I took the notes I made about the things the kids told me about and compiled them into this book that I hoped to increase it now that we can travel to this world." said Jinora.
"Wow. That's brilliant. Very good thinking, Jinora." said Korra patting the eldest daughter's head.
"So, what do you know about that dinosaur?" asked Asami.
Jinora opened the book and flipped through the pages until she found the right one.
"From what I understand, clubtails are herbivorous dinosaurs with a good defense on their back and when in danger, they use their tail mace to hit the threat." said Jinora reading the contents of the book.
"I mean, it's like a tank, but swapping the cannon for a hammer." said Mako.
"Basically." said Jinora.
"Well, anyway, I think we've had enough rest." began Korra before she and the others got up. "We need to get on with our task of finding the kids."
"As much as I like the idea, I'm afraid Ikki is right about what she said. This place is huge. They could be anywhere." said Asami.
"Hey, Mako, didn't you read something about looking for lost or missing people among the books you've been studying?" asked Bolin.
"Not exactly dinosaurs, but yes. In case of a disappearance, you start first by looking in the places they usually frequent and ask people in case they're not there" said Mako.
"But we don't know about this place." said Meelo.
"No, but he's right about frequent places." said Jinora.
"Which means, to find them, we have to think like them." said Ikki.
"Like them, huh?" asked Korra before crossing her arms in thought. "Let's see, all I know is that, when it's a random day, they usually spend most of their time…" began Korra before she suddenly began to hear laughter from the distance. "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what? I don't hear anything." said Mako.
The more time she spent listening to that laughter, the more she began to see a familiarity in that laughter, a familiarity that took her aback.
It couldn't be. No way. Or maybe it could?
Without even thinking about it, Korra took off running in the direction the laughter was coming from.
"Korra, wait!" said Mako trying to stop his girlfriend, but it was too late.
Even though Korra was leaving the others behind, even though she didn't know exactly where she was going, she was totally focused on the laughter she kept hearing.
It was almost like a call, a call that reached deep inside her.
She didn't know how to explain it, but there was something inside her that said she had to go in that direction.
The further she went, the louder she heard the laughter and the more familiar it became.
Finally, her run ended up taking her to the end of a cliff that was near a waterfall that fell from higher up and as she looked down, she was shocked at what she saw.
Below the cliff, there was a lake and in that lake, there were some dinosaurs that she hadn't seen in a long time.
They were Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper and Ruby; the 7 dinosaurs who traveled to her world, became benders, stood by her side for a long time and helped her and her friends fight against the Equalists.
At that moment, the seven of them were in the lake, in the shallow part, playing with the water, either chasing each other or throwing water at each other.
Korra couldn't believe what she was seeing with her own eyes.
After so long, she finally saw again those she considered her best friends, her family.
There were many nights when she dreamed of that moment and honestly, there were also times when she thought that moment might not come, but now, it was happening here and now.
Tears of joy streamed down her face as she saw that they were going to be together once again.
Her first thought was to scream to get their attention, but then, seeing where she was and what they was doing, an amused smile formed on her face as an idea occurred to her that would make her arrival a complete surprise.
So, she backed up a couple of steps before picking up her pace and when she reached the edge of the cliff…
Meanwhile, the gang was enjoying themselves in the water until Cera, who climbed up on a rock, got the idea to play a game they invented after their adventure in Republic City.
"Hey, let's play Equalist. I'll be the bad guy. I'm gonna get you!" said Cera acting up and jumping into the water in front of Littlefoot.
"Not if I get you first!" said Littlefoot joining in the act before 'running away' from the threehorn.
"Me wanna play Equalist too." began Petrie, who was on a flat rock, before turning to Spike, Chomper and Ruby. "Hey, hatchling! Give me your bending."
"Oh yeah? Well take it." said Ruby before using her waterbending to throw a small squirt at Petrie that knocked him off, causing the other two to laugh a little.
Petrie shook himself to shake off the water.
"Hmph! Me go play Equalist someplace else!" said Petrie walking across the rock not realizing he reached the edge and ended up falling into the water.
Soon after, Ducky came out of the water with him and returned him to the stone.
"Petrie, you're not a waterbender, you're an airbender. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"Hey, what do you think the others will be doing?" asked Chomper, causing Littlefoot and Cera to pause.
"I don't know, Chomper, but I'm sure they'll be fine." said Littlefoot.
"Besides, we may be seeing them again before long, and then we'll be all together once again pretty soon." said Ruby.
Suddenly, something caused a huge wave to form in the lake and before the gang could try to escape, the wave engulfed them.
When the water receded, the gang was completely soaked.
"Okay, who did that? I thought we talked about that." said Cera looking at the dinosaurs waterbenders.
"It wasn't me. No, no, no." said Ducky.
"I haven't either. I wouldn't think of doing that here." said Ruby.
"Then if it wasn't Ducky or Ruby, who did it?" asked Littlefoot.
"It was me."
The gang's eyes widened at that familiar voice and they turned their gaze to the lake to see Korra standing in it and smiling at them.
"Hey, guys!" said Korra.
"Korra!" shouted the gang before running towards her and jumping at her, knocking her down in the process.
Spike was the first to attack licking her face nonstop, causing her to burst out laughing.
"Haha. Stop it, Spike, stop it. You're tickling me." began Korra before pushing the spiketail away then enveloping everyone in a group hug. "You don't know how good it is to see you. I've missed you so much."
"We missed you too, Korra." said Littlefoot.
"Yeah, especially taking down the bad guys with you." said Cera.
"Hehe. Glad to see you've not changed, Cera." said Korra patting the head of the threehorn one who quickly pulled her hand away.
"I'm so glad to see you. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky hugging the Avatar.
"Me not understand. How you here?" asked Petrie.
"Very simple." began Korra before getting up. "It was all thanks to the mystic stone."
"You mean the one Katara showed us that we used to return to our world?" asked Chomper.
"That makes sense. If the stone from our world allowed us to travel to their world and return to ours with the stone from their world, they can use the stone from their world to travel to our world the same way we did with the other stone." said Ruby.
"I couldn't have said it better myself. As soon as I thought that, we didn't take long to decide to go see you." said Korra.
"Wait, you?" asked Littlefoot in surprise.
"Korra!"
They all looked to the side to see, to the gang's surprise, the rest of the group arrive on the scene.
"Korra, you can't just run off somewhere and wait for…" began Mako before he and the others realized who was ahead of them.
Silence flooded the place as the human and dinosaur group stared at each other, startled by each other's presence.
It looked like they were going to be quiet for a long time until…
"Guys!" they all shouted at the same time before running towards each other, with the gang running out of the lake.
When the two groups met, they gave each other hugs.
"Oh my gosh. I can't believe it. I'm so glad to see you." said Asami hugging Chomper and Ruby.
"We're happy to see you too, Asami." said Chomper.
"We would never have imagined seeing you with our eyes in this place, even though you are in this place and we are seeing it with our eyes." said Ruby.
"Oh, Petrie. We missed you." said Ikki hugging the flyer tightly along with Meelo.
"Yes, we did." said Meelo.
"Me... cannot... breathe." said Petrie having difficulty breathing due to the tight hug.
Fortunately, Jinora was able to pull him out of the place.
"Guys, don't squeeze him like a toy." said Jinora.
"Phew. Thanks, Jinora." said Petrie before the older sister gave her a much softer hug.
"But I've missed you too, Petrie." said Jinora.
"We missed you too. Very, very, very much." said Ducky as she hugged Bolin.
"Oh, how glad I am to hear that." began Bolin before Spike came up to him and licked his face, making him laugh. "Haha. I know, Spike. I missed you too. Haha."
"I'm glad you're all okay." said Mako.
"Of course. After all we've been through, we weren't going to be easy to beat." said Cera with a smile.
"It's nice that we're all reunited, isn't it?" asked Korra to the longneck.
"Yes, and to think we haven't seen each other for weeks." said Littlefoot.
That got the humans' full attention.
"Wait, what? What do you mean 'weeks'?" asked Korra.
"Well, it's been weeks since we last saw each other." said Chomper.
"Uh, no. As far as I remember, it's been months since you left." said Bolin.
"What? That's impossible. It can't have been that long," said Cera.
"She's right. If it had been, we would have visited you very often." said Littlefoot.
"Really?" asked Korra.
"Of course we would. You are our friends. We would never stop seeing you." said Littlefoot making the Avatar smile.
"I don't understand anything that's going on." said Meelo.
"I think I do." said Asami, drawing the attention of the others.
"Oh yeah? What be reason of that?" asked Petrie.
"It is most likely a time difference between worlds. While in our world it's been months, here it's only been weeks." said Asami.
"You mean in your world time goes faster and in our world time goes slower as opposed to yours?" asked Ruby.
"Exactly." said Asami.
"I guess that would explain the fact that we haven't seen you in a long time." said Jinora.
"Oh, how sorry I am." said Ducky as Spike let out a moan of sadness.
"Yeah, I wish we had gone to see you sooner." said Littlefoot a little sad that for them it had been longer without seeing each other again.
"That's okay. There was no way for you to know." began Korra stroking the longneck's head, making him feel better. "The important thing is that we've seen each other again and here, no less."
"Yeah, you weren't lying when you said this place is amazing." said Ikki.
"How about we start by introducing ourselves to your grown-ups?" asked Mako.
That made the gang nervous.
"Good idea. Surely, after everything you told them about us, they'll want to get to know us." said Asami.
"I'm sure you must have told them great things about us. Come on." said Bolin about to take a step.
"No." said Littlefoot, causing the humans to look at him in confusion.
"Why not? Don't they like us?" asked Korra.
"I don't buy it. Who would hate this little face?" asked Ikki pointing to her face.
"Or this one." said Meelo pointing to his face while making a silly ugly grimace.
"Uh… It's just… they'll be a little busy right now. It would be better to do it later." said Littlefoot as the rest of the gang looked at him in confusion.
Korra sensed there was more to it, but she didn't want to make a bad impression either so she simply, shrugged, accepting the explanation.
"Ok. If you say so. So, what do you suggest we do?" asked Korra.
"How about we do a little sightseeing? I've been itching to explore this place ever since we got here." said Asami.
"Me too. I wish I could learn as much as possible about this wonderful place." said Jinora.
"That's a great idea. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike nodded.
"There's a lot to see and enjoy in the Great Valley." said Chomper.
"Republic City had its good things, but our valley has also its own good things and they're worthy to see." said Ruby.
"You have already convinced me greatly." said Bolin with a smile.
"Me too." said Meelo.
"Then let's enjoy ourselves as much as we can." said Korra before they all set off, with the gang being behind the humans.
Seeing that they were far enough away, they decided to have a little private chat.
"Alright, why did you tell them that?" asked Cera quietly.
"I couldn't tell them the truth. They would be disappointed in us." said Littlefoot.
"But at some point they'll have to know." said Chomper.
"Especially now that they're here. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"There should be no secrets between friends." said Petrie.
"Especially one you haven't decided to tell when you should have told it even though you've decided not to." said Ruby.
"*Sigh* You're right. We'll tell them later. For now, let's just enjoy that they're here." said Littlefoot with a smile, with the rest of the gang nodding in agreement.
As they were walking through the Great Valley, they decided to talk after so long apart.
"Hey, if it's true that it's been months in your world, how are things in Republic City?" asked Littlefoot.
"Yep, yep, yep. Last time we were there, we stopped the evil Amon and the Equalists." said Ducky.
"Well look, after what happened with that, the relationship between benders and non-benders has improved quite a bit." said Korra.
"Really?" asked Chomper.
"Yes, indeed, non-benders are getting better treatment than before so there is no inequality in most things." said Mako.
"Also, the city council has decided to pass the power to a person elected by the citizens. In the past few months, several candidates have been promoting themselves and some of them are non-benders." said Asami.
"And Korra usually goes to help our father with some things before the election is over." said Jinora.
"Yes, sometimes when Korra comes back, she looks very tired." said Ikki.
"Once she was so tired that she fell asleep on Naga." said Meelo.
That made Korra blush with embarrassment as the others laughed lightly.
"Wow. That sure changes a lot." said Petrie in surprise.
"Right, because the council was made up of several people, but now the city will be run by one person instead of a group of people. And that's some big change." said Ruby.
"Not only that. Remember the city park? Well they've named it Avatar Korra Park. It even has a statue of me and you." said Korra.
"Wow. As soon as I get back to city, it'll be the first thing I'll go see. I hope they brought out my good side." said Cera smugly, making the others laugh.
"So how's your training going, Korra?" asked Littlefoot.
"Pretty good." began Korra before creating a small tornado in her hand. "Thanks to Tenzin, I know how to properly handle airbending. I'm even now able to enter the Avatar State at will."
"I'm very happy for you. It looks like you've finally achieved what you set out to do." said Littlefoot.
"I know, but I still have a long way to go. The job of an Avatar is a big one." said Korra.
"So how are you and Mako? Are you two still together?" asked Littlefoot.
"Yes." began Korra blushing slightly. "I still find it hard to believe that we're still together after all this time."
"And I hope you stay that way much longer." said Littlefoot with a smile that the Avatar returned.
"How about you, Mako? Any changes in your life." said Cera.
"Well, yes. I've decided to become a policeman." said Mako.
"You? Policeman? Why?" asked Petrie.
"After everything that happened, I feel I should do more for the city and being a member of the police force would be the best way." said Mako.
"Heh. I admit I would have never imagined you as someone who works for Beifong." said Cera.
"I'll pretend I didn't hear that." said Mako.
"So how do you go?" asked Petrie.
"Well, I have to study hard for the entrance exams, but I think I'll make it." said Mako.
"I'm sure you'll make it. You're as tough as a threehorn." said Cera.
"Thanks." said Mako.
"So, with Korra busy with political stuff and Mako busy with being a cop, what happened to the Fire Ferrets? Don't they exist anymore?" asked Ducky.
"Well, of course they do exist. I make sure of that, even though I had to hire new players." said Bolin.
"Well, in my opinion, they will never replace you or the others. No, no, no." said Ducky as Spike nodded in agreement.
"I agree, but I'll get those players up to the task and then we can take the team to the top again." said Bolin enthusiastically.
"Long live the Fire Ferrets! Yep, yep, yep!" said Ducky excitedly.
"And how are things with you, Asami? I hope Future Industries hasn't been shut down." said Chomper.
"Relax, it hasn't. I've made sure of it." said Asami.
"So, everything's okay? All in order?" asked Ruby.
"Well, not quite. There are still some problems to sort out because of my father, but so far, I've been able to get the company to regain some of the confidence it had in the past. It would just take a step further for the company to regain its popularity." said Asami.
"I'm sure you'll find a way. You're a lot smarter than you think." said Chomper.
"Hehe. Yes, that's true." said Asami stroking the sharptooth head.
Later, the group of humans and dinosaurs arrived at a forest area.
"So, what do you mostly play?" asked Mako.
"Well, we mostly play tag, hide and seek…" began Ruby.
"Pff. Such childish games." said Meelo, crossing his arms.
"Well, it's just that we're children." said Ducky.
"That's a good point." said Ikki.
"Although there is another game we usually play." began Cera before using earthbending to create a perfectly round stone. "Here." said Cera before shooting the stone like a cannonball, causing Asami to duck quickly to avoid it.
"Hey. Be a little more careful." said Asami.
"Oops. Sorry." said Cera with a smile.
"But it looks like fun." began Korra before creating another round stone. "I'll pass it to you, Littlefoot." said Korra kicking the stone towards the longneck, who ran a little to catch it.
"Here goes." said Littlefoot kicking the stone away.
"Got it." said Chomper reaching for the stone to kick it away.
"Hey, I want to try it myself." began Meelo running towards the stone, but the moment he kicked it… "Ouch!" exclaimed Meelo holding his sore foot as he hopped away. "How can you play with something so hard?"
"Well, our skin is tougher than humans, maybe because humans lack scales." said Ruby as Spike easily kicked the stone away.
"True, for a normal person, such a game would be tricky." began Bolin before catching the stone with his foot and starting to kick it upwards as if it were a soccer ball. "But for an earthbender like me, this game is a slam dunk."
"Hey, that's no good. We're not all earthbenders." said Ikki.
"Right, even if you think it's fun, I think we should go for something we can all play." said Mako.
"He's right. Besides, some of us are too small and fragile to play with a hard, heavy rock. No offense." said Asami looking at the two smaller dinosaurs.
"No offense taken. You're right. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"Last time me play, me almost crushed by stone." said Petrie.
"How many times do I have to tell you I'm sorry about that?" asked Cera.
"Oh, come on. Let's at least play some of this out." said Korra.
"Yeah, I don't see how this is going to cause any trouble." said Bolin before kicking the stone towards Korra, who got into position and when the stone reached her, she kicked it so hard that it sent it flying before falling to the ground and rolling off into the distance.
"Gol!" shouted Ikki.
"What does that mean?" asked Jinora.
"No idea. It just came out of me just like that." said Ikki with a shrug.
"Hehe. I think I went a little overboard." said Korra with a nervous smile.
"Never mind. We'd better go make sure it doesn't hit anyone." said Mako.
The two group followed the rolling stone out of the forest, with Littlefoot ahead of them, but then… a foot landed on the stone, stopping it in the process while the others had stopped.
While the humans were confused, the gang was a little nervous, as they knew who they were.
In front of them were three dinosaurs taller than Littlefoot and the others, but less than Korra and the other teens.
One looked like a fast runner, one was a duck-billed biped, and one was a quadruped like Spike.
"H-Hi, Hyp. Can we have our rock back, please?" asked Littlefoot, hoping to settle this peacefully.
The dinosaur known as Hyp took the stone between his hands with ease.
"Your rock? Who said it was your rock?" asked Hyp.
"Yeah, who said it was your rock, huh? Who said? Who said?" asked Nod, the quadrupedal dinosaur.
"Oh! Ah, yeah!" said Mutt, the duck-billed dinosaur.
"You know them?" asked Asami confused.
"Unfortunately, yes." said Cera.
"This is Hyp, Nod and Mutt." said Chomper.
"Oh, well, pleased to meet you." said Jinora.
"Same here." said Mutt being polite.
"You shut up, you dorks. Well I'm not pleased to meet you, eh…" began Hyp before noticing the humans' appearance. "What the world are you people? I've never seen creatures like you."
"They are our friends who come from a place far away. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"Oh, yeah? Then let them go home." said Hyp.
"Hey, that was very rude." said Mako.
"What's it to you?" asked Hyp.
"Don't talk to my boyfriend like that!" said Korra bringing her face close to the teenage dinosaur's.
"Hmph. I don't like his attitude at all." said Asami crossing her arms.
"Alright, alright. Let's not complicate things. Especially when we just met each other. How about you join us? We were planning to play something altogether." said Bolin.
"Uh… Bolin, I don't think that's a good idea." said Littlefoot.
"What do you think, guys? Want to play with these weirdos?" asked Hyp to his companions.
"What did you call us?!" asked Korra very offended.
"I'm not a weirdo! I'm a powerful bender!" said Meelo.
"What I was saying. A total weirdo." said Hyp touching his forehead and pushing him gently, causing him to fall into a sitting position before he and the other two burst out laughing.
"Hey, nobody messes with my little brother!" said Ikki.
"Oh yeah? And what are you going to do about it, weirdo?" asked Hyp defiantly.
Korra was starting to get angrier and angrier at that trio.
"I warn you. You don't know who you're playing with." said Korra ready to teach them a lesson.
"Then enlighten us, unless those tails on your head are something more than just to look really weird." said Hyp laughing at the Avatar's appearance.
That was the last straw.
"That's it! I'm going to…!" began Korra ready to use her powers to beat them up, but…
"Give it up, Korra. It doesn't matter." said Littlefoot stopping her.
"What? Why would you say that?" asked Korra.
"Yeah, are you going to let those bullies get away with it?" asked Ikki.
"They've clearly forgotten what you can do." said Jinora.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" asked Nod.
"That. What are you talking about?" asked Mutt.
"Well, the special powers of the kids." said Meelo.
The three bullies fell silent before bursting out laughing loudly, much to the confusion of the humans.
"Special powers? Do you think we hatched from the egg yesterday? There's nothing special about these babies." said Hyp.
"Yeah, there's nothing special about them." said Nod.
"That." said Mutt.
"What? Don't you know?" asked Mako.
"Know what?" asked Hyp.
"Well of their…" began Korra about to tell about the gang's powers when…
"No, Korra. We'd better get going." said Littlefoot nervously.
"What? You're really not going to say anything? Don't you have something to show?" asked Korra.
"Show? What do you mean? I don't have anything to show." said Littlefoot nervously.
Korra was taken aback by this, as were the other humans.
They couldn't understand how dinosaurs from the valley didn't know about her powers or why they acted like they had nothing.
In a normal situation, Korra would have used firebending or any other element to scare them into running for their lives, but for some reason Littlefoot didn't want her to.
Clearly there was something weird behind it all and Korra wanted to know.
"Littlefoot…" said Korra.
"Please, let's go." said Littlefoot looking at her with pleading eyes.
That was enough to convince the Avatar, who let out a sigh of defeat.
"Ok. Let's go, guys." said Korra before she and the others left the scene.
"Just as well. I can't stand being with them." said Asami.
"Same here. I wouldn't want to waste any more time." said Cera.
"Well, as my father often says, it's better to settle things peacefully and without violence." said Jinora.
"Wise words." said Petrie.
"Well, I don't think so." said Meelo crossing his arms.
"That is. Run away, you cowards." said Hyp.
"That. Run away like cowards." said Nod.
"Yeah. That." said Mutt.
"Where are those special powers now, eh, Tailhead?" asked Hyp.
That brought Korra to an immediate halt.
She couldn't just go and hit them, as Littlefoot asked her not to, but she couldn't let that go either, so, with a stomp, she used earthbending to make a platform rise quickly right underneath them, causing them to trip and fall backwards.
"It's not over!" said Korra pointing at them with a scowl before walking away again with the others.
Needless to say, the three thugs were confused.
"Huh? What happened, Hyp?" asked Nod.
"If I knew, I wouldn't be as confused as you are." said Hyp as the three stood up.
"He's right on that." said Mutt.
After she had walked far enough away, Korra decided to get answers, so she stood in front of the gang with her hands on her hips.
"Alright, you want to explain to me what happened back there just now? Why did you let those goons mess with you?" asked Korra.
"We're kind of used to it. It's not the first time it happened." said Littlefoot.
"Yeah, it's okay." said Chomper.
"No, it isn't. You could have stood up for yourselves." said Korra.
"I agree with Korra about that, but the weirdest thing was that they didn't know about your powers." said Jinora.
"True. By now and considering it's been weeks in your world, I thought everyone in the valley would know about what you've been through." said Asami.
"But instead of saying something, you just didn't do anything." said Ikki.
"Had it been me, I would have beaten them up with my powers." said Meelo.
"Exactly. Littlefoot and Chomper could have used firebending to scare them away, Cera and Spike could have taken them down with their earthbending, Ducky and Ruby would have amazed them with their waterbending, and Petrie would have sent them flying with his airbending." said Korra.
"I don't know whether to be amazed or scared that you would come up with all that." said Bolin in surprise.
"While I don't agree with that using violence, you could have shown your bending skills, but you didn't." said Mako.
"And what's worse is that when I asked you for help, Littlefoot, you pretended you didn't know anything. I want an answer and I want it now." said Korra looking at the gang like an angry big sister.
The gang looked at each other with slight sadness, as there was no way to hide it anymore, so they decided to reveal the truth.
"We are very sorry. There's a good reason why they didn't know anything." said Littlefoot.
"And what's that?" asked Korra.
"Well… We never told anyone." said Littlefoot, to the surprise of the humans.
"What?" asked Korra in surprise.
"You mean no one in the whole valley will know about your powers?" asked Bolin.
"Or about what you did?" asked Asami.
"No, no, no. They don't even know we were in your world." said Ducky.
"That doesn't make any sense. You were in our world for a long time. They would have asked you where you were all that time." said Mako.
"You see, it turns out, when we returned to our world, no time had passed at all." said Littlefoot.
"What do you mean?" asked Jinora.
"That even though we spent a lot of time in your world, in our world, no time had passed at all." said Cera.
"When we came back, the first thing we did was to meet with our grown-ups and apologize for being gone so long." said Chomper.
"But they say we not away that long." said Petrie.
"I still don't understand anything." said Meelo.
"Long story short. When we arrived it was the exact same time we found the stone, which was the time we went to your world the first time." said Ruby.
"Really?" asked Ikki in surprise.
"Maybe it's one of the peculiarities of the stone." said Asami.
"But that doesn't explain why you decided not to tell." said Korra.
"It was our intention all along, but then...we got scared." said Littlefoot.
"Scared?" asked Korra in confusion.
"We were afraid that, if we told everything we went through in the other world, they would get scared or angry." said Chomper.
"We even thought they would have forbidden us to see you again or they would have even taken our mystic stone and destroyed it so we wouldn't be in danger." said Littlefoot.
"Don't talk nonsense. I highly doubt they would do something like that." said Mako.
"You don't know my dad. 'Hey, daddy, you know what? It turns out that my friends and I found a mystical stone that led us to a world where there are no dinosaurs, but creatures called humans and some of them can control the elements. And you know what else? We are benders too. We made new friends and then we had to fight a group of evil humans who wanted to destroy both us and our new friends.' If I had told him all that, he would have been the first one to want to destroy the stone." said Cera.
"Well, put that way, it's understandable, but surely they would do it with you in mind. To protect you." said Jinora.
"Yes, our dad can be hard on us sometimes." said Ikki.
"But it's because he loves us and doesn't want us to get hurt." said Meelo.
"We just didn't want to never see you again, so we decided not to tell anyone and keep our powers a secret." said Littlefoot sadly.
Korra felt sorry for them before kneeling down to be level with the longneck.
"I understand your concern, but you can't always keep something like that hidden. Your powers are now an important and special part of you. You shouldn't hide it from anyone." said Korra.
"She's right. In fact, if I were a bender, I would have told my father without hesitation." said Asami.
"Would you seriously have told your father who hates benders and tried to hurt you because you support benders?" asked Ruby.
"Okay, fair point, but I still think the same thing." said Asami.
"That's right, there's no shame in who you are." said Bolin.
"Besides, now that we're here and we have the means to come back here again, sooner or later they'll have to know." said Mako.
The gang looked at each other and saw that they were right.
They couldn't keep hiding it any longer, not when the friends they hadn't seen for a long time were now there with them.
"Ok. We'll do it." said Littlefoot.
"We've been looking forward to doing it for a long time and finally, we get to do it. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike nodded in agreement.
"Me honest. Me want for a long time tell brothers and sisters about me new powers." said Petrie.
"And if my dad doesn't like it, I'll change his mind." said Cera.
"It's fun to have powers, but being a secret it wasn't so much fun to have them. But now that we're going to tell it once again it will be fun." said Ruby.
"Like you said, it's part of us and they deserve to know." said Chomper.
"That's the way I like it, guys." began Korra patting the longneck's head. "Shall we go tell them now?"
"Better later. After all, we'd like to make the most of all the time you're here." said Littlefoot.
"Yes, you're right." began Korra before getting up. "So, what did you have in mind to play?"
"And I hope it's one we can all play." said Mako.
"Actually, there's a really fun game we could all play together. It's something we created the day after we got back." said Littlefoot.
"Oh, you're talking about that game? Then it's going to be a lot of fun. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"What game are you talking about?" asked Jinora.
"We're talking about… a pro-bending game." said Littlefoot.
"What?! You really have pro-bending as a game?!" asked Bolin with a big smile.
"Well, yes. It was something we all came up with as a way to entertain ourselves and train our skills." said Chomper.
"We got lot better thanks to pro-bending game." said Petrie.
"The same way Korra did when she joined the Fire Ferrets, which was to improve her skills, so we wanted to try and do the same as she did." said Ruby.
"Oh, I'm flattered." said Korra with a smile.
"The truth is, it would be really interesting to see something like that." said Asami.
"The first dinosaur pro-bending match. How exciting." said Ikki with a smile.
"I can't wait to see it." said Meelo.
"But we don't have a playground." said Jinora.
"That's why it's no problem. Follow us." began Cera before leading the others elsewhere. Soon after, they came to a small pond. "This is where we'll have the game."
"But it's still not a suitable field for a pro-bending match." said Mako.
"Like I said, no problem." said Cera before stepping on the ground with her front paws, which caused a platform similar to the one in the pro-bending arena to emerge from under the water, much to the surprise of the humans.
"Wow. I can tell you've improved." said Korra in amazement.
"Did you really think we'd go weeks without doing anything?" asked Cera with a smile.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's start the game." said Littlefoot with a smile.
Later, the humans positioned themselves at the edge of the pond as Petrie flew over the field, acting as the announcer.
"Me present first dino pro-bending team. Team Littlefoot." said Petrie pointing to the side, just as, from one side of the field, Littlefoot, Ducky and Spike entered.
"Come on, Littlefoot. Show what you're worth." said Korra encouragingly.
"You can handle this." said Bolin.
"Let's go, Team Littlefoot." said Jinora.
"And now, Me present second dino pro-bending team. Team Cera." said Petrie pointing to the other side, where Cera, Chomper and Ruby entered.
"Cheer up, Cera." said Mako.
"Try not to hurt yourselves too much." said Asami.
"Give them a beating." said Ikki.
"And break their legs." said Meelo, to the surprise of the other spectators.
"Uh, uh, uh. Petrie, do you mind if I play commentator. I've always wanted to be one during a match." said Bolin.
"Fine with me, no problem." began Petrie landing on the earthbender's shoulder. "Ready." said Petrie as the six dinosaurs prepared for the match. "Go!"
The next instant, Cera, with a stomp, lifted a pair of discs off the ground which she threw towards the opposing team.
"Cera starts with a few throws, but Team Littlefoot manages to dodge them." said Bolin acting as commentator as Team Littlefoot dodged the incoming discs.
Then, Ducky used waterbending to create a ring of water around her and from it, she shot several water droplets.
"Ducky has created a sort of water cover from which she can attack." began Bolin before leaning towards his brother with the side of his mouth covered by the back of his hand. "Hey, do you know if that can be done?"
"In theory, it's no hosing, plus it's child's play, so it's okay." said Mako with a shrug.
"If you say so." began Bolin turning his focus back to the match, just as Ruby began picking up Ducky's drops to send back. "And now Ruby seems to be refusing Ducky's gifts to send them back to her."
Littlefoot began shooting fireballs to neutralize some drops while dodging the others.
"Littlefoot moves nimbly to avoid attacks while launching his own." began Bolin just as Littlefoot shot a fireball towards Chomper, who tried to defend himself with his own fireball, causing the two fireballs to impact each other, causing a powerful enough explosion that forced the sharptooth to back up a bit. "Uh oh, looks like Chomper's attempted defense has caused it to go to the back area."
"Woohoo. Way to go, Littlefoot." said Korra.
"Wow." said Chomper whining.
"Take it easy. There's still game to go." said Cera.
"Well said, Cera." said Mako before Cera threw a disc that Spike managed to deflect with his earthbending before throwing his own disc that Cera destroyed with another ground disc.
"Despite the disadvantage to Team Cera, both teams seem to yield to nothing and are set to attack with everything." said Bolin as the six dinosaurs launched attacks at each other.
Suddenly, Spike threw an earth disc, but Chomper quickly dodged it, causing the attack to hit a tree, causing it to shake a bit, which caused a tree star to break loose from the branch and go gliding through the air.
Spike seemed totally focused on the match until his attention was diverted to the tree star that was in the air.
He licked his lips as he followed the leaf with his eyes and when he saw that it was high enough, he jumped up and grabbed it with his mouth, eating it in the process.
However…
"Spike! What have you done?" asked Ducky.
"Oh, no. Spike's appetite has caused me to end up in the back area." said Bolin pointing to the fact that Spike had deliberately jumped into the back area.
"Hehe. Typical of Spike." said Jinora.
Spike let out a groan of sadness as he saw that he had screwed his foot all the way in.
"It's all right, Spike." said Littlefoot reassuringly to the spiketail.
"Things are even now. Which of the two teams will take the win?" asked Bolin.
Chomper began to throw fireballs faster and more consecutively, causing the Team Littlefoot to move quickly to avoid them while defending themselves with their respective elements.
That's when Ducky saw a large fireball heading her way and without time to think, she ran straight for the edge, jumping into the water in the process to avoid the attack.
"And Ducky falls into the water. Rather, she dives into the water. Which knocks her out of the game." said Bolin.
"Are you okay, Ducky?" asked Asami.
"Yep, yep, yep. Don't worry." said Ducky.
"Now the Team Littlefoot has one less player. How will they act now?" asked Bolin.
"I'll tell you how. By losing." said Cera before throwing two earth discs.
Littlefoot jumped up to shoot two fireballs from his paws to neutralize the earth discs before spinning around to launch, from his tail, a fire wave, but Ruby quickly neutralized it with a water wave.
"Littlefoot shows great agility, but Ruby shows great speed in reacting to her attacks." said Bolin.
At that moment, Spike threw a low earth disc that Chomper dodged by jumping before launching a fireball, but an incoming fireball from Littlefoot hit said fireball, causing an explosion that sent Chomper into the water.
"And now Chomper falls into the water too. For real this time." said Bolin.
"Easy, guys. Go on without me." said Chomper.
"Both teams are down one player. My mind can't process how great this match is." said Bolin.
"Neither can mine." said Meelo.
"Come on, guys." said Ikki.
The four remaining dinosaurs immediately launched their respective elements that collided with each other, causing an explosion of smoke that pushed them all one area back.
"Looks like they're going all out. This match only gets more exciting by the minute." said Bolin.
Spike threw a couple of discs that Cera dodged before throwing her own, but Littlefoot neutralized them with fireballs before throwing more towards the opposing team.
Ruby reacted to that by throwing water droplets that evaporated the fireballs, filling the entire area with steam and blocking vision.
"On, no. Now the field is covered by a fog. You can't see anything" said Bolin trying to see through the fog, as did the others.
Meanwhile, inside the fog, while most were trying to be alert for any attack, Spike began to use his sense of smell to locate the others in the fog and once he had a sense of where who was, he prepared a disc of dirt which he shot forward.
Ruby was a bit confused and then, she heard something incoming.
Without time to think more clearly, she shot a stream of water, but the disc ended up hitting her and knocking her into the water while the stream of water hit Spike and sent him into the water.
By the time the fog lifted, you could see that Littlefoot and Cera were the only ones left on the field.
"I don't know how, but there's only Littlefoot and Cera left on the field. Which means it's up to the two of them who will win." said Bolin.
"Oh, I haven't felt this nervous in a long time." said Korra.
"Same here." said Asami.
"Looks like it's just you and me left." said Littlefoot.
"Ha. Well soon there will be one left and that will be me." said Cera.
"We'll see about that. I'm not giving up." said Littlefoot with a determined smile.
"Me neither." said Cera smiling back.
The two dinosaurs began to throw fireballs and earth discs at each other, which they dodged or blocked with their respective elements, filling the entire field with small explosions.
"Cera attacks mercilessly, but Littlefoot resists while countering with attacks that Cera quickly stops. Will this match never end?" asked Bolin as the humans grew nervous at the tension of the match.
The two dinosaurs continued to throw attacks at each other until suddenly Cera threw two earth disks, one on top of the other, but Littlefoot passed between the two disks like a hoop before launching a wave of fire that Cera blocked with an earth disk before throwing it towards Littlefoot, who countered with a fireball.
Both attacks passed side by side towards their target and the two dinosaurs quickly acted by using their respective elements to defend themselves, but they were unable to protect themselves adequately and the collisions ended up pushing them into the water.
The next instant, Petrie let out a powerful whistle as if it were a referee's whistle.
"Match over! Draw!" said Petrie as an announcer.
Despite the result, the humans cheered at that exciting match as the six players returned to shore.
Korra took no time at all to kneel down in front of them and bring Littlefoot and Cera into a hug.
"You have been amazing. I've never seen a match like this since I was in the Fire Ferrets." said Korra breaking away from the hug with a smile.
"Well, we had to learn from somewhere, didn't we?" asked Littlefoot with a grin.
"Haven't we been awesome?" asked Cera.
"That would be an understatement. It's been a great match." said Asami.
"Not to mention the skills you showed." said Jinora.
"I could tell you were getting better." said Meelo.
"Hey, Petrie, doesn't it bother you that you can't play properly? Since you're the only airbender in the group…" said Ikki.
"Bah, Me not matter. Me referee enough for me. Besides, me too practice airbending when me fly." said Petrie.
"You know what? I just came up with a great idea. What do you say we request that we allow dinosaur teams in the pro-bending match?" asked Bolin.
"That's an excellent idea. Yep, yep, yep. That way we can all play together." said Ducky as Spike nodded.
"As interesting as it sounds. I doubt they're going to go for it that easily. Especially considering that their anatomy isn't the same as humans." said Mako.
"Well, then, we'd just have to change the rules a bit." said Chomper.
"Though not enough to break them, but enough to allow us in." said Ruby.
Suddenly, the whole floor began to shake.
"Speaking of break…" said Petrie.
"Ah! An earthshake!" exclaimed Cera.
"Earthquake?!" shouted Korra.
"Quick, all together and crouch!" exclaimed Mako.
Without wasting any time, everyone grouped together and crouched down to protect themselves from the earthquake.
What they didn't know was that the earthquake was affecting a part of the wall surrounding the Great Valley, causing an avalanche to happen that opened a complete entrance to the Mysterious Beyond.
The entire group remained crouched and hugged until the ground stopped shaking, signaling the end of the quake
"Are you all okay? Are any of you hurt?" asked Korra.
"No, we're fine." said Asami.
"And all our limbs are in place." said Ikki with thumbs up.
"Gee, that wasn't a regular kinda earthshake" said Littlefoot.
"That? Is there usually more?" asked Asami with concern and surprise.
"About one or two a week." said Chomper.
"And they constantly change in strength. From a simple jolt to something that affects the whole valley." said Cera.
"Wow. You weren't lying when you told us about the earthquakes on your world." said Mako.
"At least we got a small one as far as I'm concerned." said Bolin.
"Well, the important thing is that we're all okay. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"And nothing destroyed." said Petrie.
"He's right. In fact, since we've finished the game, what do you say we go finish our unfinished business?" asked Korra.
"Yes, you have to tell your relatives the truth about your powers and us." said Jinora.
"And no chickening out." said Meelo.
"Hehe. Of course not, Meelo. Now that you're here, we're no longer afraid of what's going to happen, because we know you're with us." said Littlefoot making the human group smile.
With nothing more to say, they all set off.
What they didn't know, however, was that the hole left by the earthquake in the wall had been noticed by a group of shadows roaming the grounds of the Mysterious Beyond and as soon as those responsible for those shadows saw the entrance hole to the Great Valley, they let out a faint roar.
The entire group was now walking through a wooded lot in the direction of where the adults were so the gang could finally tell them about their powers and new friends.
Needless to say, Korra began to feel a little nervous, as she would be meeting the gang's relatives and didn't know how they would react to her.
"Hey, Littlefoot, do you think your grandparents will like me?" asked Korra.
"Of course they will. They're very kind and loving. They'll like you right away." said Littlefoot with a smile that Korra returned.
"I can't wait to see my dad's face when I tell him I'm an excellent earthbender." said Cera.
"I'm sure he'll be speechless." said Mako with a smile.
"After this, we'll be famous in the Great Valley. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"The first dinosaurs who can control the elements." said Chomper.
"And you as the first humans in the Great Valley, because there have been no other humans in the valley before, so this will count as the very first time." said Ruby.
"We would have to talk to them first and wait to see their reaction. First impressions are everything." said Asami.
"As long as nothing bad happens, everything will be fine." said Bolin.
Suddenly, everyone stopped as they started to feel small tremors on the ground.
"Another earthquake?" asked Jinora.
"No. It's not an earthshake. It's something else." said Littlefoot nervously, since he knew what it was.
That's when they heard sounds of loud, large footsteps and before they could react, a sharptooth with three horns on its head (one over its nose and one over its eyes) came out from between the trees and let out a roar at them.
(AN: It's a ceratosaurus)
The whole group let out a shout at that.
"Sharptooth!" shouted Petrie.
"Run!" shouted Littlefoot.
Without hesitation, they all broke into a run, managing to avoid a bite from the sharptooth who let out a roar before chasing after them.
"It's catching up to us!" exclaimed Asami.
"Quick! We must throw it off!" exclaimed Littlefoot before running off to the side, being followed by the others.
The group ran back and forth through the trees as the sharptooth chased after them.
No matter how hard they ran, they couldn't lose sight of him.
It was then that Korra had an idea.
"Mako, distract him." began Korra, causing the firebender to shoot fireballs at the sharptooth, stopping it for a moment. "This way." said Korra before everyone quickly ran to the side and in the next instant, Korra used earthbending to erect a wall.
Fortunately, the sharptooth didn't see that and continued on his way in search of his targets without realizing that he had passed them by.
Feeling that he had moved far enough away, everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"I've never seen a creature like that before." said Korra.
"It was very big. Almost as big or bigger than Oogi." said Meelo.
"What the world was that?" asked Bolin.
"It was a three horned sharptooth. They're smaller than normal sharpteeth, but they're fast and strong." said Chomper.
"Smaller than a normal sharptooth?!" asked Asami in surprise.
"Those monsters are really scary." began Ikki before realizing who was with them. "Uh… No offense, Chomper."
"None taken." said Chomper.
"Weren't sharpteeth not supposed to be able to enter the Great Valley?" asked Mako.
"And so it is. I don't understand how he got in here." said Cera.
"I think I know how. It's possible that the earthshake earlier had something to do with it." said Littlefoot.
"Maybe it opened a hole in the wall that allowed the sharptooth to get into the valley." said Ducky.
"We can't let something like that loose in the valley." said Korra.
"It's not necessary, Korra. You don't have to. This isn't your world." said Littlefoot.
"All the more reason to do so. Remember when you first fought the lieutenant? I asked you not to get involved by telling you that very thing, but you insisted and ended up helping us." said Korra.
"And it was the best decision. I don't think we would have ever made it if it hadn't been for all of you." said Asami.
"Now it's our turn to return the favor by helping you protect your home." said Mako.
"Because that's what friends do." said Bolin.
"We don't mind if we have to face that sharptooth." said Jinora.
The gang couldn't help but smile that their human friends really were willing to take on the sharptooth for the sake of protecting a world that wasn't theirs.
"Ok. You can help us." said Littlefoot.
"Besides, it won't be that complicated to drive a sharptooth out of the valley." said Ikki.
"I think you're wrong about something, Ikki." said Chomper.
"Why do you say that?" asked Meelo.
"Because if I know anything about the three horned sharpteeth…" began Chomper just as they all heard multiple roars all around. "It's that they hunt in packs."
"That means there have to be more on the loose out there." said Asami.
"What do we do then?" asked Mako.
"Okay, here's what we'll do. We'll split into groups and each go in a direction to take care of any sharpteeth they come across. Then we'll gather them all in one place." said Korra.
"That way we'll be able to cover more ground looking for sharpteeth that going in just one group." said Ruby.
"And now that we have special powers, fighting them will be completely simple for us." said Cera.
"We are much, much, much stronger now than we were before." said Ducky as Spike nodded with a serious look on his face.
"I'm still scared of the idea of fighting sharpteeth, but if I faced my father without fear, I can do this." said Asami.
"Me too scared sometimes, but me brave for friends and family." said Petrie.
"We will fight too." said Jinora referring to herself and her siblings.
"No, guys. It's too dangerous and I promised your father I would take care of you." said Korra.
"We're not going to stand by while our friends' families are in danger." said Ikki.
"If Littlefoot and the others are going to fight, so are we and you won't be able to do anything to stop us." said Meelo.
Korra didn't want them to go fight a huge predator that could seriously injure them, but she had to admit they were right, since some members of the gang were even their own age or younger.
Besides which, from what Meelo said, even if she tied them to a tree, they would find a way to break free and join the fight.
"All right, you can come, but be very careful. I don't want Tenzin to scold me if you get hurt." said Korra.
"Don't worry. We'll get it." said Jinora with a smile.
"If we work together, we can get it." said Littlefoot with a smile.
"Great! It'll be just like old times!" said Bolin with a smile.
"Only in the old days, we fought against humans, not against dinosaurs." said Chomper.
"Works for me anyway." said Bolin.
"Let's not waste any more time. Let's go!" said Korra before they all split up and went their separate ways to accomplish their mission.
A pair of three horned sharpteeth had cornered a group of dinosaurs of various species.
While some were terrified, others were in a defensive position, among them, Mr. Clubtail, who was ready to use his mace against them.
"You want some of me? Come if you dare!" said Mr. Clubtail.
The first three horned sharptooth stepped forward, but then, a jet of water hit his paw just before it froze, trapping his foot in ice, much to the sharptooth's surprise.
"Hey, you!"
The three horned sharptooth, like the others, turned his head to the side to see Chomper and Ruby, who had her canteen, glaring defiantly at the sharptooth.
"How do you like taking on one of your own kind?" asked Chomper before shooting two fireballs that hit the sharptooth hard.
Needless to say, that left the onlooking dinosaurs in shock.
"But what…?" asked Mr. Clubtail in complete surprise.
The three horned sharptooth gave the two bipedal dinosaurs an angry roar before charging towards them.
"You look tense. How about some water?" asked Ruby before using waterbending to shoot a stream of water from the side that caused the sharptooth to stumble a bit before stopping.
After that, Ruby filled the ground in front of the sharptooth with water before freezing it into ice and when the sharptooth stepped on it, he began to have trouble keeping his balance, which Chomper took advantage of by shooting a large fireball at him that knocked him down.
Unbeknownst to the other sharptooth, Asami, who had her glove electrified, had climbed to the top of a tree near the sharptooth and when she found the right moment, she leaped towards him, landing on his back.
As soon as the sharptooth noticed her, he bucked like a wild bull to shake her off, but Asami was able to grab on tight enough to keep from falling.
"Since you're tougher than a human, you won't mind if I use it at full power." said Asami adjusting her electrified gauntlet before touching the sharptooth with it, sending an electric shock coursing through his body, causing the sharptooth to roar in pain.
By the time the shock ended, the sharptooth fell to the ground, allowing Asami to move away from him and join the others.
Soon after, both sharpteeth stood up and glared wildly at the three.
"Okay, we've gotten their attention. Now what?" asked Asami.
"Now… Run!" shouted Chomper before he and the others fled the scene, with the sharpteeth chasing after them and leaving the other dinosaurs behind, who were still shocked by what they had just seen.
A three horned sharptooth had found Petrie's nest and was trying to reach the nest, where Petrie's mother was standing protectively in front of her other offspring.
"Don't worry, children. He won't be able to reach us at this altitude." said Petrie's mother.
The sharptooth changed strategy and began ramming his head into the mountain, causing it to shake a little and drop small stones on the nest, much to the horror of the flying family.
The sharptooth was just about to lunge again when…
"Let go of our friend's family!" said Jinora quickly arriving on an air scooter and launching a wind wave that pushed the sharptooth away from the mountain.
The flying family was shocked as well as confused due to the unexpected arrival and the strange power she had used.
"Hey look, it's Petrie!" said one of Petrie's brothers pointing to the sky where they all saw Petrie flying directly towards the sharptooth.
"Petrie, come back here!" exclaimed Petrie's mother.
"Later, Mom! Me have something to do!" exclaimed Petrie.
The sharptooth noticed him and tried to devour him, but Petrie quickly avoided the bite before using airbending to launch a gust of wind that pushed the sharptooth back.
Needless to say, the flying family was shocked at what they were seeing.
"Did Petrie just…" began another of Petrie's brothers.
"Blow wind out of nowhere?" finished one of Petrie's sisters.
"Now, guys!" said Petrie.
At the signal, Jinora, Ikki and Meelo, all on air scooters, rolled around the sharptooth, who was confused by it.
"Na, na, na, na, na. What don't you get me?" asked Ikki mockingly as Meelo dropped a raspberry on him.
The three horned sharptooth let out a roar before trying to step on or bite the young airbenders, but they dodged each attack quickly thanks to their air scooters.
The sharptooth was so focused on them that he ended up turning his back on Petrie, which he took advantage of to gain altitude and then, swooping toward the sharptooth.
When he was half a distance away from it, he flapped his wings which, along with airbending, caused him to launch a pair of X-shaped wind waves that hit the sharptooth hard, sending it crashing to the ground.
"Haha, take that, you big bully!" said Meelo as he and his sisters undocked their scooters.
Soon after, the three horned sharptooth stood up to growl at them in anger.
"I think he didn't like you calling him that." said Jinora getting nervous at having a huge predator in front of her.
"Hurry, me know the way." said Petrie before flying away with the young airbenders behind him, all being chased by the sharptooth.
Petrie's mother, as well as the rest of her family, didn't hesitate to follow them, as she had many questions to ask her son.
In a small river, in it, were two three horned sharpteeth who had cornered Ducky and Spike's mother and her children while she was ready to fight the two to protect her family.
"Calm down, children. I'll take care of them." said Ducky and Spike' mother.
One of the three horned sharpteeth was about to attack when suddenly a rock hit him in the head, causing his gaze, as well as the others', to turn to the side to see Ducky and Spike glaring angrily at the sharpteeth.
"Stay away from our family!" exclaimed Ducky.
Spike let out a groan as he stomped on the ground, causing several rocks to fly up around him before hurling them towards the three horned sharptooth, with some of them hitting him in the process.
After the barrage of rocks ended, the three horned sharptooth let out a roar at them before attempting to charge towards them, but then, Ducky used waterbending to cause a tentacle of water to emerge from the river and whip at the sharptooth, preventing him from advancing any further.
Ducky began to lash out several times, like a beast tamer, as she pushed him back.
When she saw the right moment, she undid the tentacle and then used waterbending to cause a geyser to shoot up from the river water that hit the sharptooth, knocking it down in the process.
Needless to say, the family of the two dinosaurs were shocked by this.
The other three horned sharptooth roared in rage at seeing his partner knocked down before charging, but instead of charging towards the two benders dinosaurs, he charged towards their family, much to their horror.
Before he went to reach them far enough, a wall of earth rose up in the path, causing the sharptooth to crash directly before backing away.
Ducky and Spike's mother looked to the side to discover Bolin, who was the one who created the wall.
"Who are you?" asked Ducky and Spike' mother.
"Oh, hello, ma'am. I'm Bolin, a friend of your children. I'd like to explain everything to you, but we're busy right now." said Bolin before walking over to the sharptooth.
When he got close enough, Bolin used earthbending to make the ground beneath the sharptooth suddenly tilt backwards, causing the sharptooth to almost lose his balance, which Bolin took advantage of to throw the wall of earth he made earlier at it, hitting it directly and knocking it down in the process.
"Well done, Bolin. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.
"Well, I've been practicing too." said Bolin.
Soon after, the two three horned sharpteeth stood up and let out a roar of rage at them.
"All right, phase one completed. Time for the next phase." said Bolin before he and the other two ran off with the sharpteeth chasing them.
Of course, they were also followed by Ducky and Spike's family as they wanted answers about what they had just seen.
In another part of the valley, two three horned sharpteeth stood in front of Tops, Cera's father, who was in a ready position to face them while Tria and Tricia watched from behind.
"Tria, take Tricia away from here. Hurry." said Tops.
"But what about you?" asked Tria with concern for her husband.
"Ha. Don't worry. I'm tougher than I look." said Tops with a smile of slight arrogance.
The two three horned sharpteeth began to advance towards him and Tops had to admit that his chances were low, but he was willing to fight with everything to protect his family.
However, before he was about to charge at them, a wall of fire formed in front of the two sharpteeth, forcing them to stop.
Tops was very confused by that, as fire didn't normally come out like that.
It was then when looking to the side, the three saw Mako, who was the one who created the wall of fire.
"I won't let you get a paw on them." said Mako seriously.
One of the three horned sharpteeth let out a roar at him before charging towards him.
Mako set about shooting fireballs, but the sharptooth was quick enough to dodge them as he continued to charge towards him.
When he reached him, he tried to bite him, but Mako managed to dodge the attack quickly before launching a wave of fire that hit the sharptooth directly.
After that, he set about throwing fireballs near the sharptooth, managing to drive him back.
As he moved far enough away, he kicked out a wave of fire that hit the sharptooth, knocking him down in the process.
Tops and Tricia were taken aback by that.
"Who is that guy?" asked Tria.
The other sharptooth growled at what had happened and was about to act when he suddenly heard a hiss and turning his head to the side, he discovered, as did the other dinosaurs, Cera, who was looking at the sharptooth with a boastful grin.
"Why are you picking on someone who smells like you, you ugly so-and-so?" asked Cera before sticking her tongue out at him.
"Cera, get away from there!" exclaimed Tops in alarm for his daughter's safety.
The sharptooth roared in anger before charging towards her quickly.
"Cera!" cried Tricia in concern for her big sister.
"Calm down. Your sister will take care of him." said Cera.
The three horned sharptooth was half a distance away from her and then, Cera stomped on the ground, causing a pillar to pop out of the ground, slamming directly under the sharptooth's jaw.
The next instant, Cera used earthbending to cause another pillar to emerge from the first pillar, striking the sharptooth's chest and knocking him down in the process.
Needless to say, Tops, Tria and Tricia were completely taken aback by that.
"You had to do that, didn't you?" asked Mako.
"What do you want me to tell you? I've been wanting to do something like that for a while." said Cera.
"What in the world just happened?!" asked Tops as the three horned sharpteeth stood up.
"I explained it to you later, daddy. Now we have things to do." said Cera.
"Right. We have to meet up with the others." said Mako before he and the threehorn quickly fled, with the sharpteeth behind them.
"Hey, wait up!" said Tops before he and the other two went after them.
Three three horned sharpteeth had cornered Littlefoot's grandparents, who were ready to fight despite their age.
The sharpteeth began to advance toward them, but then, several fireballs passed in front of them, causing them to stop before they all looked aside to discover Littlefoot.
"Stay away from my grandparents!" exclaimed Littlefoot with a scowl.
"Littlefoot?" asked Littlefoot's grandmother.
"Littlefoot, no!" exclaimed Littlefoot's grandfather.
One of the three horned sharpteeth roared before charging toward him and when he was halfway up, Littlefoot created a fire whip from his tail and used it to strike the sharptooth, causing him to back up a little.
Littlefoot then set about shooting fireballs that hit the sharptooth, which slowly backed up.
That's when Littlefoot shot a burst of fire from his mouth that caused the sharptooth to roar in panic before quickly backing away, which Littlefoot took advantage of by shooting a large fireball at his feet, causing an explosion that knocked the sharptooth down.
Needless to say, the two grandparents were in shock at that.
"Did you see that?" asked Littlefoot's grandmother.
"I thought it was just me." said Littlefoot's grandfather in complete shock at what his grandson had done.
Suddenly, Littlefoot heard a roar nearby and turned his head in time to see a sharptooth coming dangerously close to him with his mouth open for the kill, but then…
"Get away from my little brother!" exclaimed Korra coming quickly with a fist engulfed in flames with which she struck the sharptooth, knocking him back a little.
Both he and the last three horned sharptooth focused their attention on the Avatar, who prepared to fight.
One tried to attack her with his open mouth, but Korra shot a rock that ended up in his mouth, preventing the sharptooth from being able to close it, so he began to shake his head quickly to remove it.
The other sharptooth tried to whip her with his tail, but Korra quickly moved out of the way before launching a wave of fire that the sharptooth dodged as he backed away.
Then Korra used airbending to launch a tornado that knocked the sharptooth down.
By then, the other sharptooth managed to take off the rock with his mouth and roared at Korra loudly before quickly charging towards her.
Then, Korra used waterbending to create a whip that entangled the sharptooth's leg and with one strong tug, made it end up falling to the ground.
"Are you okay, Littlefoot?" asked Korra with slight concern.
"Yes, I am. Thanks to you." said Littlefoot with a smile that Korra returned.
Littlefoot's grandparents were about to ask questions about it, but then, they began to hear movement in the foliage.
Soon after, Mako and Cera came running up.
"Look out!" shouted Mako as the two sharpteeth chasing them arrived on the scene.
"Feet, what do I want you for!" exclaimed Bolin as he, Ducky and Spike came running onto the scene, followed by the two sharpteeth who were chasing them.
"Here we bring him to you!" exclaimed Jinora as Petrie, she and her siblings came running to the spot, being followed by the sharptooth that was chasing them.
"And here too!" exclaimed Asami arriving, running with Chomper and Ruby, as did the two fleeing sharpteeth, who arrived shortly after.
At that moment, the other family members and other dinosaurs from the valley arrived on the scene.
The entire group stood in front of the sharpteeth, who glared at them angrily.
"It's okay, we've already brought them to you this far. Now, what are we supposed to do?" asked Cera.
"You, no, but I am." said Korra taking a couple of steps forward.
"Korra, no. It's too dangerous. You can't take them all on by yourself." said Littlefoot.
"Who said I was going to fight them?" asked Korra turning her head back.
That left the gang confused while the humans had a slight idea of what she was going to do.
The sharpteeth began to advance towards her and Korra turned her gaze towards them before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath.
By the time she opened her eyes, she revealed them to be glowing.
A sign that she had entered the Avatar State, much to the gang's surprise.
Before the sharpteeth could get any closer, Korra used waterbending to launch a wave of water that drenched the sharpteeth, causing them to stop and then, hit the ground, generating a huge wave of rocks that forced the sharpteeth to quickly retreat.
Then, Korra generated, below her, a tornado on which she stood, towering over everyone as she glared harshly at the sharpteeth.
"You have made a mistake coming in here. Leave right now and NEVER come back!" exclaimed Korra in an echoing voice before stretching her arms out to shoot great flares into the sky.
That made the three horned sharpteeth feel fear and they began to retreat, quickly fleeing towards the hole that led to the Mysterious Beyond.
Seeing that they were gone, Korra undid the tornado before exiting the Avatar State, letting out a weary sigh in the process.
"Korra!"
Korra turned around to see the gang running quickly towards her.
"That was awesome!" said Littlefoot.
"Yep, yep, yep. That was an incredible display of power." said Ducky as Spike nodded in agreement.
"You made those sharpteeth walk out with their tails between their legs." said Cera.
"Nor could all us together do that." said Petrie.
"You've really gotten stronger since we last met, which was when you were strong, but now you're beyond that. You're unstoppable now!" said Ruby.
"There's no doubt you're the Avatar." said Chomper.
"Hehe. Thanks, guys. I told you I've been training." said Korra slightly blushing from the compliments.
"I hate to interrupt this moment, but I think we have some unfinished business." said Mako pointing back with his thumb.
They all turned their gaze to the same side to see that all the dinosaurs, including the gang's families, were there.
"Oh, yeah. I had forgotten about that." said Bolin.
"Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later." said Asami.
"Though none of us expected it to be this way." said Jinora.
"In the end, I don't know if the sharptooth thing was a good thing or a bad thing." said Ikki.
"I say good. It was fun fighting one." said Meelo.
"Littlefoot, would you mind explaining what's going on?" asked Littlefoot's grandfather.
"Who are your friends?" asked Petrie's mother.
"And how are you able to do that with fire, earth, water and air, huh?" asked Tops wanting answers immediately.
The gang looked at each other, all nervous to tell them the truth.
Littlefoot turned his head to look at Korra giving her an encouraging smile.
"Go ahead, Littlefoot." said Korra, encouraging the longneck to do so.
Littlefoot let out a sigh as he realized there was no turning back now.
"It's a long story." said Littlefoot.
For quite a while, the gang was telling everyone the whole story.
The moment they found a mysterious stone that took them to a completely different world, how they met Korra, how they got their powers and, most of all, how they fought against the Equalists and their leader, Amon.
Of course, they had to show their powers again for everyone to believe their words, as, for most, it was beyond belief.
"And that's the whole story." said Littlefoot.
Korra came to his side to talk to the dinosaurs.
"Listen, I know it may seem like our world is dangerous, but it's not all bad. Our world isn't so different from yours. From this valley. It has its bad things, but it also has its good things. I understand that you might be worried that something bad might happen to them, but you have my word as Avatar that nothing will happen to them." said Korra.
"Same here. They have become an important part of us." said Mako.
"We would never let anything happen to them." said Bolin.
"Not only have they done a lot for the city, they've done a lot for us." said Asami.
"Whatever you decide, we will understand." said Jinora.
"But please don't separate us from them." said Ikki pleading.
"They are our friends." said Meelo.
The elders looked at each other, visually debating on what to decide about that.
They stood like that for a few seconds until they made their decision.
"Well, after everything you have told us. That world doesn't really seem so bad." said Littlefoot's grandfather.
"And it may be true that your world has its dangers too." said Petrie's mother.
"But knowing our little ones, it's normal for them to get into trouble." said Ducky and Spike' mother.
"Normally, I wouldn't let my daughter get involved with people who might be bad influences, but after seeing how she took down that sharptooth with her new power… Hehe. You might not actually be that bad." said Tops.
"So, you're not going to split us up?" asked Littlefoot with a hopeful smile.
"Seeing the friendship you have for each other, we would never do such a thing." said Littlefoot's grandmother.
Hearing that, the gang cheered with joy knowing that they could be reunited with their human friends.
Not only them, but the human group cheered for it as well.
"Hooray! Team Avatar Dinosaur is back!" exclaimed Bolin with joy.
That's when they all saw Hyp, Nod and Mutt approaching them.
"What? Are you here to say something else?" asked Korra with a frown as she still remembered their first meeting.
"Yes." began Hyp with a frown, filling the atmosphere with tension until… "Sorry."
Needless to say, Team Avatar Dinosaur was surprised by that.
"Hyp apologizing? That's something you don't see every day." said Cera.
"Are you really sorry?" asked Mako.
"Yes, we're sorry for how we behaved before" said Nod.
"Yeah, we're sorry." said Mutt.
"But at the time we didn't know you were that cool. I mean, you can control the elements. How's that?" asked Hyp.
"That. What's it like? What's it like?" asked Nod.
"Yeah, what's that like?" asked Mutt.
Before they could say anything, roars could be heard from a long distance away.
"Oh, no. The hole in the wall." said Littlefoot.
"We must plug it up before any more sharpteeth come." said Littlefoot's grandfather.
"In that case, we'd like to lend a hand." said Korra with a smile.
Later, everyone gathered around the hole in the wall surrounding the Great Valley.
While Team Avatar Dinosaur was at the front, several adult dinosaurs stood at the edges, with huge boulders in front of them.
"Ready, guys?" asked Littlefoot.
"Whenever you say." said Korra with a thumbs up.
"We're ready, Grandpa." said Littlefoot.
"All right." began Littlefoot's grandfather before raising his head toward the others. "Attention, everyone. Push!" shouted Littlefoot's grandfather.
The next instant, the dinosaurs pushed their rocks over the edge, causing an avalanche.
"Now!" shouted Korra before she, Bolin, Cera and Spike, used earthbending to manipulate the avalanche.
In no time, they managed to properly plug the hole, leaving it in such a state that it looked like nothing had happened there.
"There! Now the sharpteeth won't ever be coming back." said Littlefoot.
"Great. Now what?" asked Korra.
"Now… it's time to say…" began Littlefoot before he and the rest of the gang stepped in front of the human group. "Welcome to the Great Valley."
The human group smiled, for it felt good to hear that they were welcome in the home of their friends.
"Race you to the pond!" said Cera before she and the others broke into a run as they laughed.
"Hey, that's no good." said Korra with a smile before chasing after them.
"Wait. We're coming too." said Asami chasing after them along with the others.
Team Avatar Dinosaur went running towards the valley as they all went laughing.
Everyone's invited.
This is how we live.
Team Avatar Dinosaur arrived at the pond and everyone started playing, either chasing or throwing water at each other.
We are here for each other,
happy to give.
Korra threw a splash at Littlefoot who responded with a more powerful one.
It was then that he noticed a mischievous grin from Korra and quickly took off running just as Korra used waterbending to generate a small wave that engulfed him.
All we have we share.
And all of us we care.
So come on!
Ruby and Chomper were showing a group of dinosaurs their bending skills, with Ruby creating water bubbles and Chomper putting on a fire show along with Mako.
Welcome to our family time.
Welcome to our brotherly time.
Asami was taking notes on some tree stars that were on the top of a tree when, suddenly, Mr. Clubtail started shaking the tree with his body, causing the leaves to fall on the engineer, who spun around with a smile.
We're happy, givin' and takin'.
To the friends we're makin'.
There is nothing we won't do.
Jinora, Ikki and Meelo were on Littlefoot's grandfather's head and then, by jumping, they created an air scooter through which they slid over the longneck, from neck to tail, as if it were a toboggan.
Welcome to our family time.
Welcome to our happy-to-be time.
Petrie went flying with his brothers and sisters and then, Petrie began to spin around, generating a small tornado that his siblings used to quickly fly around him before Petrie undid the tornado and flew back into family formation.
This is our festival.
Ya know the best of all.
We're here to share it all.
Cera was playing with Tricia and then, with earthbending, created a slide down which Tricia slid with great joy.
There's a bond between us nobody can explain.
Then, Bolin arrived on site and together, they made a slide that was more similar to a car racing track, along with a box.
It's a celebration of life
and seein' friends again.
Then the three of them climbed onto the box and using earthbending again, propelled the box, causing it to slide all over the track.
I'd be there for you.
I know you'd be there for me, too.
So come on!
Spike had created stone stairs by which his brothers and sisters climbed up to an infinity-shaped rope of water created by Ducky, where they were swimming and enjoying themselves.
Welcome to our family time.
Welcome to our brotherly time.
Suddenly, one of the brothers slipped off the water rope and almost fell to the ground, but Spike saw it in time and used earthbending to create a platform on which he landed gently before lifting it up to the height of the water rope, allowing him to return inside.
This is our festival.
Ya know the best of all.
We're here to share it all.
Littlefoot was looking at his reflection in the water, seeing for a moment his mother replacing his reflection, making him sad at the memory that she was no longer with him.
Remembering loved ones departed.
Someone near to your heart.
The reflection returned to normal just as Korra's reflection appeared, as she had sat down next to Littlefoot, who looked at her with a smile before snuggling up next to her, which she returned with a side hug.
Find love, planning a future.
Bolin, Chomper, Ducky and Asami were telling various dinosaurs some things about their world such as pro-bending and satomobiles.
Telling stories and laughing with friends.
Precious moments you'll never forget.
At that moment, Korra and Littlefoot were at the top of a cliff, with a waterfall beside them and a lake below them, taking in the views of the valley that was beautiful from their vantage point.
This has to be the most beautiful.
The most peaceful place.
I've ever been to.
The two looked at each other with a smile, happy to be able to be together after so long apart and now that they had found each other, they would make sure they never missed each other again.
Korra stroked Littlefoot's head, who smiled in response before they both returned their gaze to the landscape.
It's nothing like I've never seen before.
When I think how far I've come.
I can't believe it and yet I see it.
In them I see family.
I see the way we used to be.
Come on!
That's when they heard something from behind them and turned their heads to see the rest of the Team Avatar Dinosaur running towards them.
Welcome to our family time.
Welcome to our brotherly time.
Korra and Littlefoot quickly stepped aside, leaving them room to go to the edge, from where they all jumped into the water.
We're happy, givin' and takin'.
To the friends we're makin'.
There's nothing we won't do.
Both the Avatar and the longneck looked at each other with an amused smile before running to the edge to jump into the water.
Welcome to our family time.
Welcome to our happy-to-be time.
When the two came out of the water, they laughed non-stop before everyone joined in a group laugh.
This is our festival
Ya know the best of all
We're here to share it
We're here to share it all!
In the end, Team Avatar Dinosaur gave each other a joint hug, happy that they were all together again.
None of them knew what would happen from now on, but what they did know was that they would get through it all together and no one would stop them.
AN: UFF. Mother of the beautiful love.
I have never, but I repeat, NEVER written such a long chapter.
I surprise even myself.
Seriously, I didn't expect this chapter to last so long, but I guess, with everything that has happened, it was necessary, wasn't it?
Well, this is just the beginning, ladies and gentlemen, as more chapters are to come in which the now reunited Team Avatar Dinosaur will have new adventures with old and, possibly, new acquaintances.
Until then, I hope you enjoy this story.
See you!
