After Charlie, Angel Dust, and Vaggie returned to the hotel after the interview with Katie Killjoy, Vaggie sank onto the sofa. Angel grabbed a popsicle from a mini freezer and made a joke to make light of the disastrous interview, which only made Charlie more upset. Charlie walked out and tried to call her mom, who didn't respond, and sent a message to her. "Hey, mom...uhm...I know I keep calling and, uh, you must be busy, really busy but, uhm, the interview didn't go well and I-I don't know if I'm going to make a difference. I don't know what I'm doing," she made a light huff "I could use some advice, Mom" Huff "I...I think Dad was right about me. Eeh hah, ah, anyway, I'll stop talking before this gets long, love you, bye" she finished with a sad tone in her voice.
As soon as she finished, she put her phone back in her pocket and went back inside. Suddenly, someone started knocking on the entrance door. Charlie, after someone knocked eight times, opened the door, meeting the Radio Demon standing right in front of her.
"Hel-" the Overlord started, but Charlie closed the door. She opened it a second later to let him finish, "-lo", then closed it again.
"Vaggieeee, the Radio Demon is at the door!" Charlie said. "WHAT!" Vaggie screamed, a look of shock spreading over her face. "Who?" said Angel, curiously looking at the royal. "What should I do?" Charlie asked concerned. "Well, don't let him in!" Vaggie responded.
Charlie decides to let him in anyway.
In short, Alastor presents himself, Vaggie points him with her spear to make sure he won't do anything bad to them, Alastor replies with "If I wanted to hurt anyone here, I would've done so already ", Charlie asks why he's here, Alastor says it's for entertainment, Vaggie explains to Angel who Alastor is, Vaggie warns Charlie, Charlie talks to Alastor.
"Okay, so now, you're sketchy as fck and you clearly see what I'm trying to do here as a joke, but I don't. I think everyone deserves a chance to prove that they can be better, so, uhh, I'm taking your offer for help, on the condition that there'll be no tricks or voodoo strings attached" Charlie said to Alastor. After ten seconds or so, Alastor said "Fair enough" and walked away.
Alastor was walking on the streets of Pentagram City when he saw on an old TV an interview about a hotel that rehabilitates sinners.
He found it rather amusing and teleported himself behind the hotel. When he saw Charlie, he was going to present himself, but then she tried to call someone, so he hid in his shadows and listened to the whole thing.
He felt pity for her. She reminded him so much of himself. Back when he was alive after his mother passed away, he would often go to her grave asking her advice, even though he knew she wouldn't be able to answer. Even though Charlie's situation is quite different, he still feels it.
After she entered, he decided to be nicer to her than he usually would to people like her: powerful, but don't use their power for themselves. He admired them, to a certain point, because he would like to not be so egocentric, but he knew that only using one's power for others, will end up destroying them in the long run.
