Chapter 82 - Family Reunion Part Three
Summary: Mipha and Link from the Victory Timeline visit Zora's Domain in the Calamity Timeline.
Evening settled over North Hyrule, the sky a fiery orange as the sun sank behind the distant hills to the west. Mipha and Link strolled together, their pace leisurely. They had spent most of the afternoon and early evening with Linky, Tila, Tara, and Lanka, enjoying laughter and playtime after a shared lunch with Faray and Saldon.
"I think Lanka is starting to talk more, not just make sounds I don't understand," Link remarked about their two-year-old grandson.
"Yes, I noticed that too," Mipha replied with a smile. "Since you're a two-year-old Zora yourself, albeit in an adult body, maybe you'll start talking more soon, too."
"Very funny," Link said, giving her hand a squeeze. "I know I've been the quiet type, but I've definitely improved a great deal."
"I'm just teasing. You can be quite eloquent at times, and your writing makes up for any quietness. I'm still amazed by how long your journal is!"
"Well, Mila has helped a lot with the writing since I first ended it, but point taken," Link acknowledged.
They walked in silence for a bit, with Link stealing a glance at Mipha. She seemed deep in thought, her golden eyes reflecting the gentle light of the approaching dusk. Finally, she spoke, her voice soft but resolute.
"I want to travel to the other timeline tomorrow morning when I'm fresh and rested." She turned to face him, her gaze steady. "I want to be at our best for what I want to say to my father."
Link nodded, agreeing. "That makes sense," he said. "This is something I never dreamed possible, and I wonder where it will lead."
They continued walking for another moment before Link tilted his head toward her, a playful glint in his eye. "Are we sleeping in one of the tourist cottages, the one Faray said was available, or Jabu Lagoon?" he asked.
Mipha's lips curved into a small smile as she considered his question. "Do you mind sleeping with saltwater fish?" she asked in return.
Link chuckled softly. "No, they might tickle me awake," he replied with a boyish grin. "And you still have a habit of answering a question with a question."
Mipha laughed lightly at his response. But as she looked at him more closely, she noticed the faint lines of exhaustion etched into his face. His shoulders sagged slightly from weariness.
"You've had a long day, and playing with Tara and Lanka wore you out," she said gently, her voice softening with concern. "We should rest."
The path ahead curved toward their lodging for the night, a modest stone cottage nestled against a grove of trees. As they approached, Link spoke up.
"You know, since we learned we could visit my original timeline, I've been racking my brain to remember what it was like. I know I left there twenty-four years ago, but some things must be almost the same. And I also keep trying to remember what it was like before my long sleep."
"Don't stress yourself," said Mipha. "I remember what things were like before your long sleep. And you weren't there for very long afterward, only about four years."
"I guess you're right," Link sighed. "I couldn't wait for us to be together if that was ever possible."
As they stepped inside the small cottage, the door emitted a gentle creak on its well-worn hinges. The interior revealed a cozy dwelling thoughtfully designed to accommodate both Zora and non-Zora tourists. The limited furniture was arranged carefully and included a plush bed with a thick quilt in one corner. A tranquil slumber pool glistened softly in another corner, its surface reflecting the ambient light and promising restful relaxation.
"It's a saltwater slumber pool," said Mipha as she tested the water. "Hope you don't mind."
"I'm so tired; I don't think the difference will matter to me," Link chuckled.
They both settled into the slumber pool with their arms around each other, and fatigue quickly overtook them. They were asleep in a few moments after a goodnight kiss.
However, Link's recent reflections on his past timeline might explain why he dreamed about a day he once spent with Mipha. In his previous timeline, he often had dreams like this while attempting to restore his lost memories - and bringing back his feelings for Mipha in the process. He was never sure if his dreams were based on reality, purely his imagination, or some combination of the two. Now, at least, he could simply ask Mipha: she remembered everything that happened between them.
It was a cloudy afternoon in Zora's Domain, the sky covered with thick gray clouds, when it began to rain, the patter of raindrops creating a soothing rhythm against the tree leaves and stones. Link was visiting once again, and as he walked beside Mipha along the winding path to Mikau Lake, he pulled up the hood of his cloak to shield himself from the rain. Mipha, however, raised her head and appeared to be luxuriating in it.
"Tell me, why do we get so much rain here?" Link complained, the thick fabric of his hood already speckled with droplets from the steady rainfall.
The use of "we" rolled effortlessly off his tongue, for Zora's Domain had become the closest semblance of home he had ever known—an anchor in his life adrift without family. Mipha's warmth and hospitality always made him feel at ease here, as though he truly belonged. Other familiar faces dwelled here, people like Gaddison, Bazz, Rivan, and Kodah, who had been his playmates and friends.
Mipha's golden eyes brightened as she looked back at him, a playful smile gracing her lips. "What's wrong with the rain if it washes over us with its gentle music?" she responded, her voice teasing.
Link gave an exaggerated eye roll paired with a small smile. "Do you always answer a question with a question?"
"Do I?" Mipha replied with a laugh, not to be outdone when it came to teasing.
Link shook his head, their laughter mingling with the soft patter of rain. He loved how effortlessly Mipha's playful nature could make him laugh.
They wandered in comfortable silence until they reached the lakeshore, where they settled on a smooth, weathered rock. Link carefully removed his worn leather boots and wiggled his toes as they were freed from their confines. Then he eased his feet into the cool, refreshing water, feeling the gentle current wrap around his ankles. The surface of the pond rippled with each raindrop that fell, creating tiny splashes and concentric circles that flowed outward, merging into one another.
"Isn't the sound of the waterfall soothing?" Link sighed after a moment, his voice barely audible over the roar of the cascading water.
"It can be—or just the opposite, depending on the company and the mood," Mipha replied, her gaze fixed on the shimmering water. "We Zoras experience the sound of water differently. It's like music to us."
"I wish I could experience it like that," Link reflected. "But being here with you feels so… so right."
"I'm glad you feel that way because I do too," Mipha replied, turning to face him as they exchanged glances.
She had such beautiful eyes, he thought. Their rich golden hue was utterly captivating as he felt a warmth growing within him.
Suddenly, Link yelped and jumped back. A Hot-Footed Frog, sleek and shiny, had brushed against his feet before scampering to shore and into the underbrush.
"Are you alright?" she asked between giggles.
Blushing at his startled reaction, Link couldn't help but join in the laughter. "Yes, I was just surprised by our little visitor," he admitted, a sheepish smile playing on his lips as he cautiously returned his feet to the cool, clear water.
Mipha's eyes softened as she gazed out over the small lake. "You know I cherish these moments—the quiet times when it feels like the world's demands fade away, leaving just the pleasure of being together," she murmured wistfully.
Turning to face him, she continued, "Do you remember when you first visited here, when everything was so new to you? You were so shy, but something about you captivated me."
"You were always the one who knew what to do, who healed my wounds and made me feel welcome here," he replied with a smile.
They sat side by side, the only sounds being the constant splash of the waterfall and the falling rain, along with the occasional call of a bird. After a while, Mipha stood up and gracefully waded into the lake. With her eyes closed, she murmured softly into the rhythmic flow of the water, perhaps reciting a Zora prayer. She then turned to face Link.
"Do you think there will come a day when we will be free from the responsibilities we've both shouldered?" she asked.
Link stepped off the rock and stood in the shallow water beside her, returning her gaze. "I don't know," he confessed, shaking his head. "But I hope so."
And then the dream ended, leading him into a deeper, dreamless sleep.
The following morning, sunlight filtered softly through the cottage windows. Link stirred, blinking groggily as he realized Mipha was no longer beside him. As he stretched lazily, he caught sight of Mipha moving about near the table. She was arranging something on a dish with her usual care—her movements precise but unhurried.
"Thanks for letting me sleep in," Link said, his voice still thick with sleep as he climbed out of the pool. He grinned sheepishly as he added, "Playing with our grandchildren must have tired me out."
"They absolutely love swimming with you, sweetheart," she said softly as she turned to him.
"Really?" Link asked as he began to stretch out his arms. A small smile tugged at his lips as he imagined their grandchildren's laughter echoing through the waters.
"Yes," Mipha said with a light laugh. "You're the only adult Zora who swims at their level." Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she teased him gently.
"Very funny, but whatever works," Link chuckled. "Have you been up for long?"
"Not too long," Mipha replied, gesturing towards the table where a dish was waiting for him. "Just long enough to eat breakfast and catch a couple of Porgies for you. After you've finished eating, I'd like us to go."
Link nodded appreciatively before sitting down at the table.
"When you're not so busy, I'd like to discuss a dream I had," Link said before beginning to eat. "Just to see if things really happened that way."
The dish before him was simple yet inviting. He could tell she was eager to leave, and not wanting to keep her waiting any longer than necessary, Link ate quickly but silently, savoring the meal nonetheless.
"All done," he declared, rising to his feet. "Thanks. It was delicious. I'm ready to go."
They both took out their Tabs, opened the timeline travel rune, selected the Calamity Timeline map, and then chose the Ne'ez Yohma Shrine.
"I'll go first," Mipha said.
"Sure. Just make sure to step aside from the travel gate, or you'll get bumped off when I arrive."
"Understood. Here goes," Mipha said as she activated the map symbol for the shrine's travel gate, vanishing in a swirl of blue Ancient Energy. Link counted to ten before doing the same.
Meanwhile, in the Calamity Timeline, it was a sunny morning at Ruto Lake as former King Dorephan lay on his back in the cool, clear water and relaxed. A female Zora floated calmly beside him, King Sidon's wife, Queen Tona.
"You know, Tona, all things considered, I believe this will be a special day," Dorephan muttered.
"You say that every morning, Father," Tona laughed gently. "And I suppose each day is special in its own way."
"No, I mean really special," he chuckled in that deep laugh of his. "And if I predict every day will be really special, someday I'll be right."
"Very true," Tona laughed. "And I suppose that will be the only prediction you remember."
Dorephan chuckled back. Being retired had turned out to be better than he expected. He knew he had left his people in good hands as Sidon had grown into the leader he needed to be. Sidon enjoyed the love and respect of their people, and that mattered a great deal. He was also modest in making decisions as he strove to do his best, not above seeking his father's counsel whenever he felt he needed guidance.
Now, given his bulk, Dorephan enjoyed spending most of his time in the water. It was more comfortable than walking around on dry land, though he was still fully capable of doing so. Tona often insisted on accompanying him, and he was grateful for her company. He could tell she truly loved his son, for she was supportive of him in so many ways. He recalled a conversation with her right after Sidon's wedding.
"I know I can never replace your real daughter," Tona had said to him. "But if you have me, I will do my best to be a caring daughter to you while giving my dear husband all the love and support I can."
"Thank you, Tona, and please do call me Father if you are willing," he replied. "I know how much you and Sidon love each other, and I am overjoyed to have you as part of our family."
So he and Tona had grown closer. She was indeed a kind and caring person. In addition to her familial devotion, Tona was a good listener, too, willing to tolerate his many stories of the past.
But after some strenuous swimming around the lake this morning, it was time to close his eyes and relax. Tona smiled as he drifted off to sleep on another of his very special days.
"Enjoy your well-deserved rest, Father," she whispered.
Meanwhile, not far away, Link reappeared in Zora's Domain at the shrine below the plaza, where Mipha was waiting in the shallow water. Their arrival had gone unnoticed in this secluded location.
"We've arrived," Link said quietly as he joined her. His voice held a note of reverence, for this place always felt sacred somehow. He gestured toward the staircase leading upward. "Your statue is just up there—a tribute to your memory."
Mipha turned toward the stairs but hesitated for a moment, her expression unreadable as she gazed upward toward where her likeness awaited. Then she looked back at Link and offered him a small but determined smile.
"Let's go," she said softly.
The plaza above was alive with activity. Children splashed playfully in shallow water while their parents chatted nearby and other groups of Zora milled about exchanging news and laughter. The air carried a hum of life and community that felt familiar.
Mipha's breath caught slightly when her eyes fell upon her statue: a graceful depiction of herself holding her trident. It stood tall amidst the bustling plaza like a silent sentinel watching over her people. She approached it slowly, her fingers brushing against its smooth surface as if testing its reality. "Aside from this statue," Mipha murmured after a moment, turning back toward Link with glistening eyes, "this place feels just like home."
Link nodded but didn't immediately respond; his thoughts had drifted elsewhere as he stared at the stone version of Mipha before them. He remembered vividly how this very statue had triggered his first memory of her all those years ago. Since then, he had visited it countless times—sometimes alone and sometimes finding Sidon there during quiet evenings.
Breaking free from his reverie at last, Link looked at Mipha and saw that same spark of eagerness in her gaze from earlier that morning.
"Let's go," she said again—this time with more conviction—as she gestured toward one of the staircases leading higher into Zora's Domain. "I can't wait to see my father and brother."
They ascended together—the sound of rushing waterfalls growing louder as they climbed higher until they reached one of the guards stationed at the base of the staircase leading toward the throne room.
Mipha stepped forward confidently and politely addressed him: "We would like to meet with King Dorephan if he's available."
The guard blinked at them in mild surprise before responding cautiously: "You mean…King Sidon?"
Mipha froze mid-breath; her wide eyes darted toward Link before returning to the guard uncertainly. "King Sidon?" she repeated faintly, testing whether she had misheard him. Her hands flew up instinctively to cover her mouth when the realization struck. "Has King Dorephan… is he no longer…?"
"Oh no!" The guard waved his hand quickly in reassurance when he saw her stricken expression. "The former king is alive. He just stepped down from ruling—he now serves as an advisor to His Majesty and spends most of his time at Ruto Lake."
Relief visibly washed over Mipha; she exhaled shakily before offering a slight bow of gratitude. "Thank you. That's quite a relief to hear."
"I suppose you're from quite far away not to have heard about King Sidon's coronation?" the guard asked.
"Yes," Link said, noticing Mipha was still processing the information. "Could we meet with King Sidon instead, then? I'm certain he'll want to see us."
The guard hesitated briefly before replying, "He's currently meeting with Laflat—the Royal Secretary. But I'll check." His gaze lingered curiously on them for another moment before asking cautiously: "How should I introduce you?"
"Just say a relative and an old friend," Link answered simply but firmly while taking Mipha's hand.
Nodding once more without further question, though now visibly intrigued, the guard ascended to the throne room while leaving them waiting below.
Mipha turned immediately toward Link once they were alone again, concern etched across her features.
"Do you think my father is unwell?" She said nervously before continuing: "What could have made him step down? If he is in poor health, I hope it is something I can heal."
"I'm sure Sidon will explain everything once we see him," Link replied reassuringly.
In the meantime, the guard proceeded to the throne room, awaiting Sidon's attention as he was still in conversation with Laflat. But they were apparently just finishing their discussion as Laflat agreed to something and left, nodding briefly to him as she passed.
"What is it, Waven?"
"There are two visitors eager to meet you," Waven replied. "They chose not to share their names but mentioned they are … a relative and an old friend."
"A relative?" Sidon repeated, his tone shifting into one of puzzled wonder. His brow furrowed slightly as he leaned back against the throne, one hand coming to rest thoughtfully against his chin. A flicker of confusion danced across his face before giving way to something else—a spark of realization. For just a moment, Sidon's amber eyes widened as if struck by a sudden thought, a hopeful glimmer now alight in his gaze.
"Could it be?" he murmured almost to himself, though his voice carried enough for Waven to hear. Then he mused silently, "Could it be that my dear sister has managed to travel here? And an old friend? Can Link have returned as well? Yes, that makes sense. Princess Astra shared images of them both."
Waven blinked at Sidon's silence and apparent confusion as he shifted uncomfortably on his feet. "Pardon, My Liege?" His tone was careful, as it wasn't often that Sidon spoke so enigmatically.
"Never mind, Waven," Sidon said briskly as he rose from his seat. "I must see them at once! Also…" He paused for a moment as another thought struck him. "Do you know where my father is?"
"Your father?" Waven asked cautiously. "I believe he is in Ruto Lake accompanied by Her Majesty."
"Then we shall go there after I greet these two visitors." Sidon's tone grew quieter as he met Waven's gaze. "If my suspicions are correct…then my father will want to meet these two visitors as much as I do."
Waven nodded in acknowledgment and without further question as Sidon left and rushed down the stairs. The possibility that it could be Mipha stirred emotions within Sidon that he hadn't felt in years—a bittersweet mix of hope and longing. Memories of her gentle voice and radiant smile flooded back unbidden, bringing both comfort and an ache he couldn't quite place.
"Mipha…" he murmured softly under his breath, testing her name as though saying it aloud would make her presence more real.
And yet, when he reached the foot of the stairs and saw them, Sidon froze, his breath catching in his throat. The world seemed to slow, the splash of flowing water against stone and the distant hum of Zora's Domain fading into a muffled silence. His amber eyes widened slightly as they swept over her. Her face looked familiar, every soft curve and delicate feature etched into his memory from years of reminiscing as well as the image Princess Astra had shown him.
But seeing her in person, she was… different. Taller now, she stood as a full-grown Zora, no longer the adolescent figure from his childhood recollections.
And then there was the figure beside her.
Sidon's gaze shifted cautiously, half-expecting to see the Hero of Hyrule clad in his Champion blue tunic with his sword strapped to his back. But instead, standing beside Mipha was another Zora - a male with blue skin. His presence was calm but commanding, his posture mirroring a warrior's readiness. Sidon's brow furrowed slightly as confusion flickered across his face. Who was this supposed "old friend"? Where was Link? For a brief moment, doubt clouded his thoughts.
For Link, however, there was no hesitation—no confusion at all. He stood alongside Mipha, his steady gaze fixed on Sidon with a warmth that spoke of familiarity and trust. In Sidon's tall, imposing frame, Link saw no change; he looked exactly as he had when they last met.
But it was Mipha who couldn't contain herself.
Her golden eyes widened as her lips parted slightly in astonishment. She took a hesitant step forward before clasping her hands together against her chest. "Dear Sidon!" her voice rang out like a melody, clear and bright with joy that could not be restrained. "You've gotten so tall!" The words spilled from her as if they couldn't be held back any longer.
Sidon blinked rapidly as though waking from a dream. Her voice struck him like the first note of an old song long forgotten but instantly recognizable. That voice hadn't changed at all. It carried the same lilting kindness that had comforted him as a child. His heart swelled with emotion he'd been holding back for years.
Sidon's lips trembled before curling into a wide, toothy grin that lit up his entire face. "Mipha! Dear sister!" he managed to say, his deep voice uncharacteristically soft as it wavered under the weight of emotion. He stepped forward cautiously, almost afraid that if he moved too quickly, she might vanish. "It's really you? You managed somehow to travel here?" Each word carried a reverence that bordered on disbelief.
Mipha beamed up at him, tears glistening at the corners of her eyes but refusing to fall. "Yes, it's me, dear brother," she replied gently, tilting her head in that familiar way she always had when teasing him fondly. "And look at you! You've grown into such a fine young man - just as I always knew you would. But you said … to travel here? You knew I was alive elsewhere?"
Sidon let out a short laugh, though it sounded more like a choked sob of relief. "I … I didn't think I'd ever hear your voice again," he admitted quietly, the words tumbling out before he could stop them. "And yes, Princess Astra showed me an image on her Tab device of you and Link together, explaining about timelines."
"Ah, I see. I guess that makes this reunion easier," Mipha replied softly, stepping closer so that only a few feet remained between them now. "I'm sorry … sorry about what happened and that I wasn't here for you growing up Sidon."
"But you were in a way," Sidon insisted. "The words of encouragement you left me with as a child remained in my heart ever since. I thought of you every night, dear sister, visiting your statue, judging my decisions by imagining what you would have done in my place."
They closed the remaining distance and embraced, holding each other close, both of them shedding tears of joy.
After finally breaking their embrace, the blue-skinned Zora nearby cleared his throat gently, breaking the spell of their shared moment. Sidon finally turned to him, realization dawning that this stranger had accompanied Mipha here - for what reason, he still didn't know.
"I don't believe we've met," Sidon said carefully, extending his hand in greeting though his posture stiffened slightly as if bracing for an unknown revelation.
The male Zora offered a warm smile and inclined his head with a respectful grace before grasping Sidon's hand with a firm, confident grip. "But we have met many times, dear brother, although I've undergone a change thanks to some advanced Sheikah technology. I am Link, Mipha's husband," he declared, his voice steady and accompanied by a slight, knowing smile.
Mipha gently placed a delicate hand on Link's arm, a gesture of reassurance, before turning her attention back to Sidon. "Yes, it's truly him," she affirmed warmly. "He has now become one of us."
"This is astonishing!" Sidon exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief and wonder. "Who could have imagined such things were possible?"
"But Father… is he unwell, Sidon?" Mipha asked, her brow furrowing with concern.
"No, he is as robust as ever," Sidon reassured her. "He simply felt it was time to step aside and believed I was ready to take on his duties. But come, he is at Ruto Lake and will, of course, be ecstatic to see you. And my wife, Tona, is with him, so you will also have the chance to meet her."
"Your wife?" Mipha asked. "You're married?"
"Yes, I finally fell in love," Sidon muttered sheepishly. "I was beginning to worry Father would choose a bride for me."
"Tona? Is that the same Tona from the Prince Sidon fan club?" Link inquired with a hint of amusement.
"Yes," Sidon chuckled, a lightheartedness in his voice. "She can be a bit bashful about that time in her life, so it might be best not to bring it up just yet."
"It's interesting how you can recall specific details about other women and forget all about our time together," Mipha teased, a playful glint in her eyes.
"Well, I met Tona after my long slumber ended," Link replied with a chuckle, his eyes twinkling with humor.
"Come, let's not waste another moment," Sidon urged, his tone infused with excitement. "We're off to Ruto Lake."
The trio set off toward Ruto Lake, their steps swift and filled with anticipation. Sidon led the way, his tall frame striding purposefully ahead while Mipha and Link followed closely behind, their hands intertwined. The journey was short, but each step felt weighted with the significance of the impending reunion.
As they approached the waterfall leading to Ruto Lake, Mipha tightened her grip on Link's hand. Her heart raced with a mixture of joy and nervousness at the prospect of seeing the father who mourned her loss 128 years ago. Link gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, offering silent support as they drew nearer.
Sidon spotted his father and wife first, their figures visible in the distance, floating peacefully in the calm waters. He raised his hand in a wave and called out to them, "Father! Tona! We have some very special visitors!" Then, all three dove into the water and began swimming toward them.
At the sound of Sidon's voice echoing across the water above the sound of the waterfall, Dorephan stirred from his relaxed state. His eyes opened slowly to take in the scene. He and Tona turned their attention toward the trio, gracefully swimming in their direction and cutting through the water with swift elegance.
"Who are those two with Sidon?" Dorephan asked, his voice laced with curiosity.
"I'm not sure," Tona replied, shielding her eyes as she stared intently toward the shimmering surface, trying to discern their elusive forms. "But they must indeed be very special for Sidon to be so excited."
In a breathtaking burst of speed, Mipha surged toward her father, every movement radiating raw determination. She halted before him, eyes wide with an overwhelming torrent of emotion.
"Father?" she whispered, her voice trembling with a deep and aching longing.
"Mipha?" Dorephan's voice boomed, a rich blend of astonishment and hope resonating through every word, his heart teetering on the edge of an emotional overflow. "Can it truly be you?"
Drawing nearer, Mipha's eyes glistened with tears, poised between joy and sorrow. "Yes, Father. It is I," she breathed, her voice quaking under the immense weight of her regret. "I have returned to seek your forgiveness for the sorrow I must have caused you and Sidon. I am so deeply sorry and…"
"Please, say no more," Dorephan interjected with fervor. His hand, slightly trembling, reached out to envelop her in a tight embrace as if trying to erase years of heartache in that singular moment. "My beloved daughter! Your absence has haunted me every day, but learning of your survival from Princess Astra offered some solace to Sidon and me. Having you here now, though —it's beyond any dream I dared to hold. This is a time for rejoicing, not regrets."
Their embrace lingered, a whirlwind of emotions and a profound relief unburdened, as Sidon swiftly swam to Tona's side, wrapping his arm around her.
"And do not blame yourself, my dear," Dorephan spoke with unwavering firmness. "I entrusted you with commanding Ruta because you believed in fulfilling your duty. The true guilt lies with Calamity Ganon, not with you."
"Father," Sidon interjected at last. "I must introduce Mipha's companion. This is Link—now reborn as a Zora through some mysterious metamorphosis. It seems miracles are far from over."
"Link? This is astounding!" Dorephan gasped. "Sidon and I agonized over your disappearance 24 long years ago, fearing you had been claimed by fate. Then, Princess Astra—your daughter, it seems, revealed an image of you and Mipha together. But the image showed you were still a Hylian."
"My transformation occurred roughly two years ago after Astra departed," Link explained. "She was unaware of it during her visit with you."
"And you must be Tona, my sister-in-law," Mipha declared, swimming over and embracing her tightly. "I'm overjoyed for you and for my brother."
"Thank you," Tona replied warmly. "Sidon shared the secret of your existence in another timeline, but I never imagined we'd meet face-to-face. I'm still reeling from it all."
"Speaking of that, we must keep our visit under wraps," Link insisted, his gaze intense. "The Sheikah are deeply concerned that tampering with multiple timelines could unleash chaos."
"Of course," Sidon agreed. "But come—there is much we must discuss. Let us all head back to the throne room. I'll instruct the guards that this will be a private meeting, free from interruption."
"An excellent idea," Tona concurred.
"See, Tona," said Dorephan. "I said today would be very special."
"And you're right. Indeed it is," Tona laughed.
"Now let us go. And if I know Link, such discussions are best complemented by a meal," Sidon added with a wry smile. "I will arrange for a banquet."
"That's true," Mipha laughed softly. "My dear Link might have transformed, but his appetite remains legendary."
"Very funny," Link chuckled. "Even in another timeline, it didn't take long for the teasing to start."
Then they all laughed, their hearts filled with joy, as they began making their way back to the Domain.
