Ugh.

I slowly started to open my eyes, revealing many trees surrounding me as I slowly got up to sit on the ground. So much green!

"Wait a minute… where the hell am I?!" I muttered loudly, not recognizing the landscape at all. Last time I remember, I was walking across the street from visiting a friend's house for a game night…

I flinched in pain, the headache bloomed, causing me to remember more as soon as I walked across the road when the walk signal turned green, there was bright light suddenly showing up then all I can remember is… pain. Lots of pain! Then blackness.

"Fuck, I died?!" I exclaimed, wondering why I woke up in this unknown land. Beep noises started to emit, causing me to swerve my head wildly until I tilted my head down, widening my eye at the solid bracelet in dark green with one node flashing like beeping light.

Why not? Let's see what I can find out if I do this. I pressed the flashing node at the top of the bracelet, causing the node to emit in bright light, engulfing my arm in a solid green holographic model that looked so familiar…

"Holy shit! That's Pipboy 3000 Mark V from the Fallout TV series!" I shouted in shock, not expecting this to appear on my arm. Suddenly, the holographic model expanded itself to a large screen showing the Vault Boy in his classic cartoon-like figure with blue jumpsuit, giving the thumbs up then faded to the text message where I started to read.

-Greetings, the fellow survivor!

I hope that you are doing well after your death at the hands of the truck-kun that crashed into you. Your death wasn't quite pretty I assure you. You see, your body was practically smeared across the road with body parts & visceral spread out like peanut butter & jelly on the bread. Not a pretty sight, eh?

No matter! I have decided that I will take your soul and insert it into a new body with few boons to see how you'd fare in the new world.

What the hell?!

I know, I know, you'd be dismayed at your death but who cares about it? You get a new chance to live whatever you want to do in this new world! Much better than staying dead, eh?

I scowled at this typical Vault-tec asshole-ish tone, not caring about my feelings at all. I steeled my nerves and continued to read the message further.

So, moving on! The world you will be spending your new second life in is in A Song of Ice And Fire during pre-Aegon's Conquest, you have been 'inserted' to Riverlands, specifically near north by Blackwoods.

Your new body is dragonseed named as Gaemon from Dragonstone at the courtesy of First Night by Lord Aerion Targaryen, you are the eldest 'bastard' son (roughly one year older than Visenya Targaryen) of Aerion Targaryen and Vaela (she was the maid who served under Valaena Velaryon).

Before your soul was inserted to this body, Gaemon decided to venture to Riverlands to explore around and offer his services as a knight after reaching sixteen summers to any nobles until he got ambushed by a group of Hoare raiders that killed him through arrows, that is why there is few blood spots on your tunic as they left your body behind in the woods.

Huh, so I'm in ASOIAF during pre-Aegon's Conquest which puts me in 14 BC, roughly twelve years before Aegon begins his conquest and I'm related to Targaryens through bastardy due to First Night practice by Aerion. Sucks for Gaemon who died at hands of the raiders, at least they didn't do nasty things to him since Hoares are known for being brutal and cruel based on what I know from the books.

Now, after he died and was sent off to Balerion's realm, I have struck the deal with Fourteen Flames to allow me to insert your soul in his body then 'integrate' memories & skills of the body as an educated knight after I finish with explanations of your boons. Small warning, you might be knocked out again as memories will flood in like flood waters, it might… be painful.

Bloody sadistic vault boy! Ugh, I'm not looking forward to migraine headaches after this. At least his memories & skills as an educated knight would be useful to have to survive in this new world.

Now, with the boons: As you can see, I have put your holographic version of Pipboy 3000 Mark V based on hologram technology provided by Sierra Nevada, pretty neat, eh? I have modified the Pipboy 3000 Mark V to be soul-bound to you, it means that it can't be stolen nor taken off by anyone else. All you need is to think "turn off" to hide your bracelet to keep yourself inconspicuous or take a bath. If you want a bracelet back, simply think "turn on" and ta-da! It'll appear again.

With that, the bracelet acts as a Fallout-based video game system as you will be able to "play" the world like in Fallout but with several modifications. I am sure that you do not need a basic explanation on how Fallout video game mechanism works as you are very familiar with the game as you have played it extensively. However, I would like to explain a few modifications and how it works.

Oh wow, that's a pretty cool boon to have. It reminds me of several System-based video games from different mangas. If I do this right, I can live very well in this world. It should be fun!

First modification is that it will not make the world be video game-like, it'll be mostly rooted in realism as only video game mechanisms only apply to your body & equipment strictly. There will be no leveling or illusion world with dungeons like you see in Manhwa video game style stories.

However, you still can "level" your SPECIAL attributes through purchasing the Instant Training Perks or limited amount of Bobbleheads via the Fallout-style shop at varying amounts of bottle caps. (for instance, each Instant Training perk level will increase the cost by 2x times of original price, for example, first perk would be 100 caps then second one at 200 caps)

For skills, you can "train" through purchasing skill magazines/books or training methods like practicing your swordship or firing range with your weapons or constructing items/objects based on your skill.

When you wake up, I suggest you use your new pipboy to set what SPECIAL attributes you will start with 21 SPECIAL points to distribute to your SPECIAl starting with 1 each.

For Skills, it will start with a standard level of 5-10 or more depending on your knowledge of those skills from your first world (for example, your knowledge in computers via your college education, it would be translated to Science, granting bonus points to it) followed by three starting skill choices that will grant 15 more to the starting level.

On Perks, the availability of perks is dependent on your SPECIAL attribute level; it's very similar to the Fallout 4 system. Skills have no effect on the main perk system based on SPECIAL attributes, they offer knowledge & unique perks.

However, there are two more additions - you can get unique perks from reaching a certain skill level based on older Fallout games that are not present in Fallout 4. Also, there is a sizable amount of skills added based on the ASOIAF world that you can 'train' in if you wish to.

There will be magazines that grant unique perks but it is only purchasable in the store and it will be very expensive to get, so spend your money wisely to get whatever you want. Those perk-based magazines will be modified to reflect on this world, for example, any magazines that grant bonuses against Fallout-based creatures will be modified to humans or creatures based in the ASOIAF world.

Huh, that's not too bad! Those modifications sound pretty good so far, it's like a mix-mash of older & newer Fallout games plus skills from ASOIAF world. I like the part where the skills are dependent on the amount of knowledge I have from my first world and this body's memories for this world followed by SPECIAL attributes and picking three skills to start with.

Perk based on magazines that are only sold in the shop at high prices, eh? Hmm, not too bad. It might take a while to get enough money, assuming the shop does provide conversion for whatever currency that ASOIAF has for bottle caps to buy stuff in the shop.

Now, the next part is the shop function in the system, it is similar to 'Auction Shop' from various fandoms you read about in your first world. However, there are two limitations in that shop: Contents offered by the shop are strictly limited to Fallout verse & ASOIAF verse, meaning that you only can purchase items or knowledge or other things from those two verses. Second, depending on which content, they would have limited inventory amount, so if you purchase all, you won't be able to get more unless it is refreshed every three days, so be careful on how many items you can get!

Additionally, there is a conversion section in the shop where you can 'convert' any form of currency from different kingdoms or lands to bottle caps as the shop contents can only be bought via bottle caps. Conversion rates are dependent on several factors such as quality of the currency, type of currency, and current conversion market rate for certain different currencies.

For example, 1 gold dragon gets you 210 bottle caps. However, if you use silver stags, you will need 210 silver stags to convert to 210 bottle caps because a single bottle cap is equal to one silver stag.

It is ideal to have several forms of currencies on your inventory for this world's markets in case while keeping bottle caps for the system's shop. It's up to you on managing your finances. I'm just giving some friendly advice, it's not my fault if you choose to be a moron at managing your precious money.

I rolled my eyes, scoffing at this. At least I'm glad that I learned basic finances in high school, I'll manage my money carefully, at least it can't be stolen if it is stored in my inventory, assuming I have that. But still, despite the snarky comment at the end, it's still useful advice nonetheless.

Last function to cover: Yes, you do have the inventory system similar to Manhwa video game system but it has few limitations to look out for.

Before I explain about limitations, there's a basic description on how inventory works: it is a hammerspace based dimension module technology installed on the pipboy, allowing you to store your items in your pipboy without a hefty amount of items dragging you down to its own sub-dimension. Do not worry! Items are placed in 'stasis mode' in the sub dimension, meaning that they will not degrade over time.

Now, on limitations - there are two limitations in the inventory system: It is limited by the amount of weight that inventory system currently can carry, it is dependent on Strength attribute, if your STR is higher, it can carry more. For example, each STR point gives 50 lb each. You can include more carry weight via perks such as Strong Perk with three levels, granting 50 more lbs each. Equipment on your body like body armor or weapons does not affect carry weight, as carry weight only covers inventory storage.

Second limitation is that you cannot store living beings in storage. If you try to 'cram' living beings like humans or animals to the storage, it will have messy results where it will 'eject' them out in a gory explosion, like turning their insides to outside. So free to try it if you are fan of messy deaths as it's common in Fallout verse and even in ASOIAF verse!

What the fuck! It sounds like the scene where they used a digital conveyor from Galaxy Quest on animals that the teleporter isn't designed for teleporting animals out, resulting in pig lizards to be turned out from inside to outside, leading to a messy gory explosion in the teleporter room. Typical for Fallout, as they're pretty gory, although. Still, better to not put living people in my inventory, I am no psychopath after all.

Now, on to the last part of the system: Quests. Yes, you heard me. You will get quests provided by the System or any people in ASOIAF.
For System-based quests, you will get a limited amount of quests per day as it will be mostly mundane like bounty missions, finding hidden treasures or training your skills to a certain level.

Area-based quests given by the people can be anything from gathering resources, ferrying goods to other villages, fighting bandits/outlaws off, helping them to build their homes, helping nobles out, etc. Some quests would have time limits or certain conditions or secondary objectives for extra rewards.
The rewards of the quests are dependent on the difficulty of the quest.

All of those quests are purely optional, it is up to you.

Not too bad, it sounds manageable to me, as it would keep me busy with this new world. Best part is that it is optional, how nice for ROB or whatever to allow me to keep my free will.

Oh there's a few more lines left to read!

We're nearly there! I hope that reading so much hasn't made your brain leak out of your ears, eh?

Oh, fuck you! At least I enjoy reading, so there!

That's everything done to explain this to your feeble brain, now let me expand on the deal that I made with Fourteen Flames to allow your soul with few boons to be 'inserted' in this world.

The deal is that Fourteen Flames wants you to keep the dragons alive (also make sure Valyrians from Targaryens or Velaryons or others stays alive too, they are necessary to ride those dragons) for Second Night that will happen sometime in 3rd century AC at any means necessary as dragons are crucial to keeping the world from being frozen solid by those icy faerie rip-off assholes. Before you even start to think like a gun or explosive or energy-obsessed idiot, let me point one thing out:

Plasma/lasers weapons or nuclear weapons like Fat Man Launchers can hurt Others but not kill them. You need specific methods to kill them for good, such as dragon glass, Valyrian Steel or dragonfire as their main component is magical, so only fire-based magic components can kill them for good.

I laughed, loving the sassy & insulting tone from the Vault-tec style message. I can accept this, there will be no easy way to take Others out.

That's it, you can explore the rest of the limited features provided by System at later time at your own leisure.

Good luck with your new adventure, Survivor. My final advice for you: Don't die like a jet-addicted idiot.

Beginning the procedures of installing the body's memories…

I cried out in pain as the searing hot rod rams through my head as my vision blurred, crashing to the ground. Blackness creeps into my vision, as I knew that I was going to be knocked out, praying to whatever that no one finds his unconscious body and doing unspeakable things.
